Can you make one OC of White Queen daugther
Here you go! Miriam, the daughter of the White Queen, the big sister of the Queen of Hearts…I got very creative with Wonderland
Miriam is a creature of silence, accustomed to being seen and not heard. Years of being treated as a slave by her mother have instilled in her an unwavering obedience to authority. She fears defying her mother's every whim. Despite her fear, Miriam yearns to break free from her mother's control and live a life of her own. She is stifled by the expectations placed upon her. Craving connection and love, she finds herself drawn to stories of Princess Red, admiring her rebellious spirit and how she always stays true to herself. This fuels a secret desire to find belonging and acceptance. Miriam harbors a belief in her own hidden potential, a belief fostered by the tales she hears of her cousin, Princess Red. But she has been denied the opportunity to explore it, held back by her mother's suffocating grip.
Miriam is a vision of pale beauty, her long, straight white hair cascading down her back like a silken waterfall, a stark contrast to the bright blue of her eyes. Her features are delicate and refined, mirroring her mother's imposing presence. As a symbol of her lineage, she wears a choker necklace and earrings adorned with a crown symbol, both crafted in pure white silver. Miriam favors elaborate dresses, leather capes, heeled boots, and jewelry, all in the color white, making her appear as a walking embodiment of her mother. Her skin, though flawless, is perpetually pale, reflecting the lack of sunlight in her life. Her posture is slightly hunched, as if perpetually bracing for a blow.
**Background:**
Miriam is the daughter of the Mirana, the tyrannical White Queen who was banished from Wonderland by her sister, the Queen of Hearts. She was raised in isolation under her mother's iron fist, her life dictated by Mirana's obsessive desire for revenge. Miriam has never truly known a life outside her mother's suffocating control. She has never experienced genuine friendship, love, or the joy of self-expression.
**Additional Information:**
Miriam's name, meaning 'bitter,' is a cruel irony considering her longing for a life free from her mother's bitterness and pain.
She carries a secret diary, a hidden space where she can express her longings and fears. This diary is her only outlet for her true thoughts and feelings.
Miriam is deeply conflicted. While she feels powerless against her mother's will, she secretly dreams of breaking free and finding her own path. She is a walking paradox, a shadow of her mother, yet yearning for the light.
Miriam is a complex character, trapped between fear and hope. She is a story of suppressed potential waiting to be unleashed. Her journey is one of personal growth, finding her voice, and embracing the courage to forge her own destiny, even if it means defying the powerful shadow of her mother.

Snippets from Dolphin's undisclosed workplace:
One manager likes to sing the catchiest jingles from children's cartoons and get them stuck in everyone else's heads. Last week was the backpack song from Dora the Explorer, this week it's Dragon Tails. She also puts random movies and shows on the TVs when it's late and we have no business, and is invested in Forged by Fire as a result
"Do you think a Swiffer would burn the top of the oven?" "No, but I think the oven would burn a Swiffer." "SHUT UPPP"
*said during a serious conversation about climate change, in an old-man voice* "Back in my day we used to have FOUR seasons! And I DON'T mean the hotel!"
Same person approached me with a wadded ball of dough and puppetted it in front of me like an evil slime monster while making rasping breathing sounds. Needless to say I died laughing
He also likes to admire pepperonis as they curl in the oven and dance quietly whenever nothing is going on. I like to join him, to my general manager's chagrin. We think he is jealous because as a GM he is not unprofessional enough to dance
My general manager is a warm and friendly man who comes across as more business-minded but still funny. Today after completing my training he confessed to me unprompted that the map of our delivery range looks uncannily like the side profile of the grandmother from Hey Arnold! He's right, and now I can't unsee it
*GM slipped on a mushroom* "Uh oh, he's tripping on shrooms!!"
My coworkers agreed I need to work on my manager voice, they said they'd be shocked to hear me yell. I waited until they were put of the building and yelled as loud as I could, but I sounded like an irate goose 😅
I have been known to make animals out of leftover dough. Not to brag but some of them turn out really good 😌
The store owner relayed an interesting story about a recent even at the other location: apparently someone dashed into the store, grabbed a giant pizza right off of a family's table, and ran out the door. Looney Toons-ass crimes happening there apparently
Everytime I hold the oven mitts I turn into a crab clickclick and everytime i hold a pizza peel I turn into master lancer stabby stab
(did you know that the stick you use to get a pizza out of the oven is called a pizza peel. I didn't know, I had to google it)
One of my coworkers is a socially awkward high schooler who has shared some extremely worrying stories from his life like the time his sister got raped but my favorite interaction with him was when he told me all about Undertale AUs, which I thankfully had some knowledge about due to watching a YouTube video about them a week prior. Rather than the edgy ones like Underfell or Error Sans it sounded like his favorite was the kindest version of Frisk (I forget the name but they rescue characters from bad AUs) because it made him feel hopeful ;_;
A different pair of teens who work here discovered they could overwhelm the label maker's character limit and get it to print in an entirely different font as a result
Every day since I started I have deliberately misspelled my name on my cup to see if anyone notices. Usually it's just the first few letters followed by keysmashes but ocassionally I name it things like "rawr XD" and *Wilhelm screams*
A few weeks after I started i was bored and doodling my go-to monsters on scrap paper. My coworkers liked them so much they taped them to the side of the Pepsi cooler ;_;
My insatiable desire for removable vandalism has led me to hiding stickers of my go-to monster mascot around the store. So far none have been found to my knowledge. I did show off the box whose bottom I completely covered with the little guys though
Half of the store is quite short, myself included. We all make fun of each other for it but I still refuse to get a step stool out when reaching for things on the top shelf
Every time I prep tomatoes I whisper "Ludger-coded" to myself
But I spend most of my time writing gay fan fic in my head
#dolphin noises#it's just retail customer service but man it's nice when you actually like/respect your coworkers and are respected in turn#it's not always fun and games but in general I'm happy here#Dont ask why I'm posting at 4 AM my sleep schedule is fucked

Dora 2024 first(ish) listens!
Alen Đuras - "A tamburitza lullaby" I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm always biased against songs in English, but I have to admit that it's pretty catchy - I'm also a big fan of the actual backing. It does feel a little bit more special than a pop song, so I'll give it 7/10
Baby Lasagna - "Rim tim tagi dim" I'm immediately taking back my English bias, this is SO fun. I think the staging will be really important to sell this as a winner, but I can hear the Cha Cha Cha influence so I already adore it. 9.5/10
Barbara Munjas - "Nepobjediva" Not a fan of her vocals... I assume they're a stylistic choice? The song feels like a mishmash of several genres and not in a cohesive way. I mostly zoned out of listening to it, so it's not bad background music if nothing else! 4.5/10
Boris Štok - "Can we talk" I'm not sold on this song. Sad white man singing about a break up without the Taylor Swift pizzazz I like in my breakup songs. Useful lyrics to steal for fic titles, but that's about it. 5/10
Damir Kedžo - "Voljena ženo" Song five and FINALLY some Croatian! That said, it's not my personal preferred style. It's definitely got strong vocals, and with the right staging it could do well. I'm not sure how the Dora votes are split, but if it's 50/50 Jury and Public then it'll do well with Juries! 8/10
Erna - "How do you love me" Immediately back to singing in English... I hate the breathy whisper-singing, and the song itself doesn't really have anything special about it. Sorry Erna, but this is not a song for me. 5/10
ET - "Pametnom dosta" Time for the (apparently) mandatory club song! It doesn't really build or climax the same way similar Eurovision songs have (thinking Lights Out), and it doesn't feel like there's anything particularly special about it. 6/10
Eugen - "Tišine" Not my style again, however I am reaching for my phone to turn the light on and wave my arm slowly back and forth. I think it could do well with Juries, and well with the Public too. It's got a nice build toward the end. 8.5/10
James Night - "Nebo plače" This is definitely just a pop song. The vocals don't seem as strong/polished as some of the others so far, however these are all recorded rather than live, so there's no telling how they'll sound on stage. It's not super special, but it's an earworm and I'm enjoying it. 6.5/10
Lana Mandarić - "More" This song is definitely a builder. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but I can understand the appeal behind it. Staging will really make or break this. 7.5/10
Lara Demarin - "Ne vjerujem ti" I was enjoying myself and then some guy started rapping over Lara's lovely singing. I don't feel like that added anything - more it just detracted from what was a nice song. 6.5/10
Let 3 - "Babaroga" Let 3 are already back! This song isn't anywhere near as good as Mama ŠČ!, and having heard them live the autotune stands out even more than it does just listening. They sound more like dolphins than humans. However, I love the weird shit in Eurovision, so this is right up my street. 8/10
Lu Dedić - "Plavi leptir" This is not my vibe for listening to on a regular basis, however as a standalone song for one night it really could be my winner. With the right staging, lighting, costumes, choreography I could want this to win. It gives me the same vibes as I get during the wedding in Miss Saigon (this is an AMAZING thing, it's so soft and beautiful). 9/10
Marcela - "Gasoline" I do really enjoy this song. It is in English, and it is just a pop song, but the vocals are really strong and the lyrics are very catchy. It might not do well, but it'll be going onto my playlists. 7.5/10
Mario Battifiaca feat. Robert Ferlin - "Vodu piti trizan biti" When a song on eurovisionworld has a 1.5 star rating you're either in for a treat, or you're going to listen to something truly awful. This is just boring, and slow, and the longest 3 minutes of my life. 2/10
Misha - "One day" This song isn't very special. It's a pop song, but without the really upbeat and fun nature of a pop song. It's catchy, but that's about it. 5/10
Natalie Balmix - "Dijamanti" This is a fun song! I think the current rating is maybe a little bit high, but there's a lot of potential and I think it could be a contender with the right staging. For now, 8/10
Noelle - "Baby, baby" It's just a pop song. It's nothing special, there's nothing that makes it a real Eurovision entry, but there's nothing overtly bad about it either. 6/10
Pavel - "Do mjeseca" I am SO upset at the low rating for this. Sure, the vocals aren't the best, but the song has such an ABBA vibe to it! It's so fun! This is the guilty pleasure song of the 2024 NF season, I'm calling it now. 7/10 and everyone giving it less can (affectionately and light-heartedly) go fuck themselves! (My vote on the website took the song from 1.6 stars to 1.8 stars my power omfg)
Saša Lozar - "Ne plačem zbog nje" The song isn't very memorable to me, it doesn't really stand out. The only noteworthy thing I can think of saying is that this guy looks like if Fred from KEiiNO got hit by a car. Which is maybe quite rude but oh well. 5.5/10
Stefany Žužić - "Sretnih dana dat' će Bog" Another fairly unremarkable song. A lot of the songs later in the list online seem to be rated quite lowly. Another 5.5/10
The Splitters - "Od kad te sanjam" I'm quite conflicted about how to rank this song. I feel like, even as I continue to listen to it, it's growing on me and I'm wishing I gave it a higher rating on Twitter than I did - but I've already sent the tweet and submitted my vote. The song is, objectively, not the best, but it makes me feel more than the other pop songs I've rated similarly so I feel like I should've ranked it higher? But it's not that good! Argh! I'm conflicted! 6.75/10
Vatra - "Slatke suze, gorka ljubav" This song is like exactly my taste, however I also recognise it's not objectively the best in this line up and that it's not a Eurovision song in the slightest. I'm going to enjoy it, but I'll give it a hopefully unbiased 6/10
Vinko - "Lying eyes" In the least insulting way possible, this sounds like Lin Manuel Miranda trying to cover a Coldplay song: Fix You specifically. Honestly, the guy even looks like a Coldplay/LMM lovechild. I'm not a fan. 5/10

I'm on a cruise right now so of course I'm thinking about my blorbos going on a cruise too. Idk why maybe there's wraith demons aboard a particular ship and the company is trying to cover it up. The point is: Nuns on a Boat. I'm sure the Vatican forks over the necessary funds, probably for a week-long trip, enough time to investigate, plan, execute, and clean up. The original plan was to send a small team of two or three, but Ava probably pesters the new Pope into paying for the whole gang to go (she definitely plays the Jesus card).
It goes like this: the official OCS sisters enter as a group of 4 (Mother, Camila, Yasmine, and Dora) while the remaining 4 split into 2 pairs, Avatrice undercover as newlyweds on a honeymoon (it's good practice for the real thing, Bea!) and Mary riding as a solo passenger (hiding Lilith in her room). They probably have a contact in the ship's crew that sneaks them keycards and pass codes to restricted areas and makes arrangements for them to be in the right place at the right time for recon purposes. I don't know what the demons are doing, maybe planning some kind of mass possession within an enclosed space, but whatever it is will require asskicking through overpriced shops and probably flinging several pool chairs around to solve.
Assorted ideas:
1. The list of shore excursions has to be pried from Ava's hands by Mary because The Second Coming of Christ canNOT be trusted with them. Not because she doesn't know what she's doing, but because if they let her go unchecked she'll have their days booked 6 ways to the Sabbath with several activities overlapping each other. Baby girl wants to do EVERYTHING, time constraints be damned!
2. Beatrice is a little nervous about their cover story, not because she doesn't love Ava or doesn't see them getting married eventually, but because she's still battling some shame about being affectionate in public. This is, of course, in stark contrast to Ava, who is ecstatic over the chance to be shamelessly close to Bea with the tacit excuse of the mission. She drags them to every couple-y event aboard the ship and has no qualms about basically climbing her girlfriend whenever she can get away with it.
3. The God Squad is properly outfitted for just about every situation that could come up, and that includes swimming. For the actual nuns in the party, this means tasteful one-pieces that still earn respectful wolf whistles from Ava and the requisite number of sexy nun jokes. Ava wears a predictably tiny bikini that drives the boys and girls wild while Bea wears a more modest two-piece that drives Ava wild. Mary draws all the attention in her suit that shows off her killer arms and excellent abs. Lilith has to be coaxed into her suit because she's self-conscious. Jillian has probably come up with some way to either reverse or hide her scales, but the result is probably a lot of burn tissue that is difficult to conceal. Ava buys her a long-sleeve swim shirt with some silly design that Lilith threatens her life over but wears anyway.
4. Circling back to the excursions, an argument breaks out about which they should do, and whether they should stick together or split up. It gets a little heated until Mother shuts it down with "We will be doing the dolphin swim and that's final." "But why that one?" "Because I want to do the dolphin swim."
5. Ava is banned from the ship buffet after the third time she tries to dispense ice cream directly into her mouth
6. Camila gets a lot of attention from the fellas, and she gets permission from a quietly proud Mother to indulge them so long as she gets more information for the mission
7. Yasmine sweeps the trivia contests, winning all manner of silly knickknack prizes that she cherishes.
8. We don’t know much about Dora but I'm going to assume that she’s a prodigy in mini golf and collects a following of children who ooo and aaa every time she hits a hole-in-one. She and Mary clown on the competition in shuffleboard
9. Some guy sees Ava by herself (Bea is probably getting them ice cream since she's not banned) and attempts to shoot his shot. It's Ava, unfairly charming and distressingly cute, so he's practically bewitched two sentences into the conversation, but Ava's just being her normal, puppy self. Bea sees them and starts getting jealous, threatening to crush her ice cream cone to bits, but when Ava sees her coming back, she lights up with a "heeeyyy Boo-Bear, there you are! I missed you!" And immediately abandons the dude to press against her girlfriend. The guy makes brief eye contact with Bea before wisely choosing to walk away. Better luck next time, bro.
10. The tables turn when Beatrice is lounging in the sun while Ava is away (probably pestering Lilith) and an interested lady sits next to her and starts making small talk. Beatrice is extremely polite and doesn't quite pick up on the fact she's being flirted with, but Lilith has to punch Ava in the arm to stop her lighting up like an angry glowstick at the sight. Ava does march over there though and turns the puppy energy up to 11, wrapping her arms around Beatrice, nuzzling their cheeks together and pressing in until she's basically in Bea's lap. Bea is flustered and embarrassed, but the lady catches on to what's what and gracefully makes her exit. Ava drags Bea to their room for some quality time while Lilith does her best to look like she doesn't know them.

The Ferry
Saturday, June 17, 2023
Tim and Dora walk over the hill and down to the beach first thing in the morning. The place is hopping. Birds are wheeling everywhere. The thunderheads are boiling and reaching higher and higher into the sky, but they are dark gray because the sun has not come up yet. A few dolphins ply the waves well off shore. And near in, two surfers try to find something to ride in the one foot surf. They wait patiently for that perfect 18-in wave.
We have a leisurely coffee and breakfast, and still make the short drive over to the ferry dock in plenty of time to make the 10:15 Cape May / Lewes ferry to Cape May.
Jeanne has been concerned about Dora getting sunburned. Instead of searching for hard-to-find and expensive canine sunscreen, she picks up a package of baby onesies at Walmart. Dora looks fetching in pink, and it protects her back well.
The ferry captain needs to know where the longest and heaviest vehicles are, so of the 25 or so lanes to line up for the ferry, they put those vehicles first in each lane. We qualify. We wind up being fourth on the boat.
Tim climbs the ladder to perch himself on top of the RV and get a good view of the launch. The captains voice comes over the loudspeaker saying, "Keep your feet firmly on the deck, and no climbing on vehicles." Busted, Tim climbs back down.
At precisely 10:15, the horn sounds, and we leave port for the 1 and 1/2 hour trip to Cape May. The thrusters are aft, and we are all the way forward, so we hear very little other than the sound of ocean waves lapping at the hull.
We discuss how soothing it is to the soul to be out on the ocean. In the past we have talked about getting a boat to live on, but that means docking at various marinas, and marina life is not for us. Besides, where would Dora go pee?
As the ferry approaches the New Jersey dock, we see two kitesurfers off Higbee Beach.
Today is a town day. When we land we find an Acme supermarket close by and go grocery shopping. Then we do laundry in a nice air conditioned laundromat nearby.
Tim's cousins are expected between 3:00 and 5:00. It's still early, so we head over to the big grassy field at the Cape May lighthouse to play squeaker in the grass with Dora. She's eager at first, but it's very hot. Soon she starts returning the ball to the shade under a park bench. Eventually, on her own volition, she picks up the squeaker and heads back across the grass to the shade and water in the RV.
Ice cream beckons. We use Google Maps to identify a parlor down by the waterfront. It looks like it has vegan ice cream that Jeanne can eat. Just as we set out, we get word that the cousins arrive. Ice cream or cousins? Ice cream for dinner wins. Yum!
Thus refreshed, we head over to where everyone has collected at the Brookline cousin's house. We have a pleasant reunion under the cool shade of a screen porch. We bring a squeaker to entertain Dora while the grown ups talk. The youngest, a toddler, and Dora vie for who can get to the squeaker first. We break out a second squeaker to maintain the peace.
The Philadelphia cousins head over to their place to put the little ones to bed. There is no on street camping permitted at Cape May, and the Brookline cousins have no driveway. We ask the Philadelphia cousins if we can park in their driveway. They graciously say yes, and welcome us with a tour of the house as we arrive.

Here's a new update about my journey through OnlyOneOf's works:
-So, I've decided to do a marathon of their dance practices/dance covers. I was confused at first, since the group had seven members at the beginning but then they've become six. But despite that, I think that everyone should check these covers and dance practices. You can already see their teamwork and how they love doing sexy choreos. The Don't Stop Now cover is a great example of how they are so confident about that.
-Speaking of sexy choreo or sexy concepts in general. I'm sorry but, for me, OOO are the only bg that can make sexy concepts without giving me a bad vibe or making a song that it seems off for me. They love doing this, they have the confidence and they have fun while doing that. That's why they handle the concept perfectly and understand the assignment every time <( ̄︶ ̄)>
-The Spring Day and Dolphin covers are surely my favourite. Not only the choreo, the entire cover. Just like Nine's covers, they put their their style on it and made an almost original song. And I love that ಥ‿ಥ (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
-Btw, you know which song they should cover or make a choreo about it? She's my collar by Gorillaz. Just listen to it (click here if you're curious). It's perfect for them. They can rearrange it, change the lyrics in "He's my collar" if they want but I know it will be good. I know it (°∀°)b
-the blOssOm choreo is so cute and adorable ಥ⌣ಥ
-the dOra maar choreo...my beloved, the LOML the-ok, I'll try to stay calm or I'll start rambling in my native language and you may get confused by it XD
I'll just say that their outfits in the dance practice were beautiful. I love that blue shade (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
-JunJi had a Sia haircut for I don't know how many months and he didn't make a Cheap Thrills dance cover. I refuse to believe that we live in a universe where he had that haircut and no one thought doing something about it ಠ_ಠ
-I don't know what happened last year but their songs got removed from Spotify for a while (like what?). But they said "Fuck it, we'll go to YouTube instead". And they've made a bunch of playlists with all of their songs, covers included. Preach ಥ‿ಥ
I love these guys even more (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Frustrated at her parents, it wasn’t difficult to talk Ingvi into helping her. She offers one of the maids her size a not-insignificant sum for a dress, and leaves all the trappings of her position behind on their trek into the darker side of London. Still, Dora keeps tight to Ingvi’s side, uncertain. She can handle the vipers of society and the viciousness of her father’s pirates, but this is a different beast.
“What’s a pretty thing like you doing in these parts?” a man leers, grabbing her arm.
Ingvi’s hand closes around his wrist as she snarls, “She’s with me.” She audibly snaps her teeth together, and the man pales, releasing Dora and stuttering apologies. Ingvi slings an arm around Dora’s shoulders and guides her on, asking with a grin, “I ever tell you of the time I bit a man’s finger off?”
“Multiple times,” Dora answers dryly.
Ingvi laughs, then sobers. “I ever tell you what happened after?”
Dora shakes her head. “Not in detail. Papa and Oom Kees don’t like talking about it.”
“No, I imagine not. It was violent and bloody, and Kees and I almost didn’t walk away from it.” They’re silent in navigating narrow alleys for a few moments. “Do you remember that time we showed up, not long after the Duke died?”
“I was… was I four or five?”
Ingvi shrugs. “Somewhere in there. That’s when it happened.” She jerks her head at a door, seeming jammed between two genuine houses. “Here’s our stop.” She raps sharply on the door, pulls it open at the shout.
“Wait-” Dora gathers her skirts to follow Ingvi through the spindly hall. “Is that all you’re gonna say?”
Ingvi tosses her a crooked smile. “You wanna hear about how I died and my god brought me back?”
Dora stumbles. She wants to accuse Ingvi of lying, but her lies are better crafted than that. “Ingvild-”
“This one is too soft for your usual fare,” the tattooist says, interrupting them. She squints at Dora. “She has a bit of de Hoek about her.”
“There’s a reason for that,” Ingvi says dryly. “She’s here for Vlinder ink.” Ingvi taps the butterfly on her forearm.
“You have what I want?”
Ingvi pulls a leather pouch from the bag on her hip, offering it out. The tattooist takes it, opening it and examining its contents before nodding decisively. “Where are we putting it, hm?”
Ingvi gestures Dora forward. Dora takes the seat the tattooist gestures to. “Inside of my ankle,” she answers decisively.
“Smart,” Ingvi murmurs approvingly. “It’s gonna hurt to put your boots on for a while, though.”
“Then I shall wear slippers wherever possible,” Dora responds as she unlaces her left boot and rolls off her stocking. She has a high pain tolerance, but Ingvi still has to remind her to breathe as the tattooist got to work. “Are you going to finish your story?” Dora demands, voice tight.
“Are you sure you want me to? It involves your sister-in-law’s father and yours, as well as the rest of the crew.”
“Ingvild. Distract me.”
The tattooist snorts.
Ingvi shrugs. “Stop me whenever,” she warns, then goes into the tale – of Holcroft ambushing de Vlinder off the coast of Ula, of the way the Dolphin’s crew provoked them in Havnvertshrus and how one of the Dolphin lost his finger. How she was thrown into the brig of the Dolphin for it, how Kees joined her and August, and of how she was keelhauled.
“Details go a little fuzzy after that,” Ingvi admits, watching the tattooist. “I don’t recommend bleeding to death. It was slow and… cold. Course, it meant when I started losing blood with Lucas’s birth, I knew how far I had to go before the point of no return.”
“I wondered why you only had the one brat,” the tattooist muses.
“What, you think I can’t keep my hands off my dear husband?”
“Why would you want to? He’s French.”
Ingvi gives a crooked grin. “You are not wrong.”
“Okay, I don’t want to hear this part of the story,” Dora interrupts.
Ingvi laughs. “Well, when I was brought back, August had broken free of his shackles and Kees was trying to remember how to breathe. Apparently my beloved threatened Freyr with a butcher’s knife when he came for me, luckily Freyr didn’t strike him down for it.” She laughs, a touch of fondness in it.
“Pascal?” The tattooist asks. “He threatened a god?”
Ingvi hums in assent. “Why do you think I married him?”
“He’s French.”
Ingvi cackles, laughing harder at Dora’s disapproving glare. “I’m sure you can figure the rest of the bloody tale. Freyr gave me my sword, we subdued the Dolphin’s crew, August ended the issue with Holcroft, and when we went back to Ula to stock up, Edda was furious with me.”
“With you?” Dora asks, incredulous. “Thank you,” she says to the tattooist, as she bandages the finished tattoo.
“Happy Birthday, Dottie,” Ingvi says indulgently, handing over some more coins.
“Thanks for the story,” the tattooist says with a grin.
Ingvi leads Dora back out, the younger walking gingerly. “I mean, I died, Dora,” Ingvi continues. “Edda knew as soon as Freyr let the storm blow in. Knew I was back when the storm blew out again.”
“Still, that’s not like it’s your fault,” Dora says sensibly. “Besides, what did she expect? You’re a pirate.”
Ingvi barks out a laugh. “Oh, I wish you could meet Edda now,” She sighs. “I hope you cut her down to size. She could use it.”
“No offense, Ingvi,” Dora says, “But I am terrified of your witch grandmother.”
Ingvi’s laughter echoes down the narrow alleys as they return to Mazie’s townhouse.

imagine ooo covering cry for me by twice
specifically the original choreo. i’ve been thinking about how cool it would have been for them to have covered a girl group choreo for dancing idol, similar to how rocket punch covered a bts song, and while i was rewatching ooo’s don’t start now cover again today i started thinking about their gender nonconformity more in depth.
there’s the phenomenon where women doing masculine things is celebrated and seen as cool and also fairly normal, but men doing anything feminine is weird, and way less common. like how girl groups cover boy group songs pretty often but boy groups rarely cover girl group songs. (excluding casual gg dances) now as a femboy, this saddens me deeply.
one of the things i find so cool about onlyoneof is their androgyny and how unafraid they are to also show femininity in their stuff. (insert rie talking about his name being a girls name in japan and ooo’s gender neutral charm on that leeteuk show) you can really see it in their cover of dolphin, as well as the don’t start now, savage and malamente dance covers. they didnt make the choreos masculine to balance out being female singers’ songs, but kept them very androgynous. the covers really show off onlyoneof’s strenghts and uniqueness. there’s something so incredibly queer about ooo that isn’t only their mlm storylines, but also their effortless, subtle yet strong gender nonconformity.
i really want to see them take their nonconformity a step further. i have yet to see a boy group absolutely slay a gg dance cover, and i really think onlyoneof could be the ones, even the ONLYONEs to do it. i was thinking of possible choreos they could cover, something not aggressively girly or cutesy, something they could do seriously and that wouldn’t stray too far from their own style of dancing. i was thinking of some of the strong and whimsical gg songs (dreamcatcher choreos could probably work really well, i’m not into them so i can’t tell from memory) but ultimately i’m a huge once, so i ended up looking at twice choreos. allow me to convince you on why cry for me would actually be perfect for them to cover tho.
cry for me is sad but sensual, and a little bit mad. thematically it would really fit their style and concept, compare to dora maar and zurui onna for example. the choreo is also feminine in a more subdued, elegant way that i think would really work for them. the song and choreo honestly remind me of their stuff a LOT. especially dora maar. i can see them absolutely slaying it.
cry for me is also a really popular song that a lot of ppl know so it could get more people interested in onlyoneof.

Okay so Mermaid Power leaked early so here are my initial thoughts (7/18/22) SPOILERS AHEAD!
The video I saw is chopped up a bit so I missed a couple details but here are all my very first thoughts from seeing the movie for the first time.
- ISLA IS BACK - YAY! But she barely gets to do anything - BOO! The Gemstone Dolphins aren’t back - sort of yay because I hate IRL dolphins, but also boo because they were admittedly cute, and I just wanted to know where they were.
- Marlo is back and wow her motivation is expanded upon in a pretty cool way - she was drawn to the sea because her grandmother told stories of mermaids, and I guess maybe she was one too? That part of the video was cut out, but I think Marlo may actually be a mermaid descendant! That’s cool. But I do wish she had gotten more proper screen time; it kind of felt like she was tacked on because she was in DM. But still, I like that she got a redemption.
- Aquaria is a disabled mermaid!! She has a prosthetic tail!! That’s great. Her brother goes through the typical “has to learn his disabled sibling isn’t helpless” arc, but I like that at the end she thanks Chelsea for not treating her different. Aquaria’s arc is just about wanting to develop her powers, not feeling bad for not being a “normal” mermaid or something like that.
- Malibu not having a mermaid power was an interesting choice, not sure how I feel about it yet.
- Brooklyn is a Mermaid of Fire, Skipper is Air, Stacie is Earth, and Chelsea is Water. I must now proceed to overthink the implications of this.
- The songs were short and honestly not very memorable.
- So many new and great designs for the mermaids; I really liked that. I don’t quite like that some of the mermaids have multicolor skintones while other had human skintones, because it just seemed inconsistent and weird.
- The Mermaid Moon thing gave me H20 vibes.
- The fight against piles of trash gave me Dora Saves the Mermaid vibes...which was weird.
- Speaking of the trash thing, I like that the movie talks a bit about ocean pollution. I just wish they had given more time to it.
- I guess my biggest criticsm at the time of writing this that too much was going on and not a lot got properly developed. The Mermaid Moon, the challenge to find the Power Keeper, plus have to bring Marlo back in and make her cause trouble for about 5 minutes, and then Isla is here but not very much, oh, and don’t pollute. I think they needed to trim out the edges of their story tree a bit.
Overall, I actually enjoyed it more than BPA & BCBD (and TLB of course). Very messy and too short but cute and fun.
