Buck showed an astronomical amount of growth in this episode, from his leadership skills (601) to his professionalism when delivering a baby (season 1) to his ability to separate himself and give the baby away to his real parents despite his own feelings (the entire donor arc). to say he hasn't shown any growth because he stayed in a relationship that, up until this point, and despite the audience being able to see thematic clues that it won't last in the long run, is very new and despite the one hiccup that got resolved with a genuine apology he has not had any reason to turn away from, is a disservice to his character and also just. unfair

Two things about 6x15. I felt like when Natalia said she is dying to know it meant to imply she is gonna die soon and is aware of it. Like an illness. And Chris falling asleep on the couch? Really? The Buckley-Diaz safe place. I just can't with this show. Love the meta, as always. I will need several work days to process that cemetery talk.

That's an interesting and if 911 goes there, I wouldn't be mad. It could explain Natalia's fascination with death. But at the same time, it would also probably not be my first guess, just because that reaction of "cool!" at the face of dying seemed to be too light. I would have expected someone who is dying themselves to be visibly carrying a weight when it comes to death. Now I'm aware 911 could intentionally go with the idea of a character whose way of dealing with an imminent death involves intentionally skirting around the weight of this subject. But I admit that if that's the direction that they take, I would expect them to have Natalia played differently once she does confess this is what she's dealing with, because right now she's been acting IMO more like a groupie of a band than someone about to join the band, if this metaphor helps...

Chris falling asleep like that just a few episodes after we saw Buck doing that on the same couch was a CHOICE, wasn't it? I want to be careful, and not over-analyze that bit until the show itself admits it's connected to Buck, but at the same time, the couch metaphor has been explicitly discussed by the show runner, they can't not know what they're doing with that!

past couple weeks have been hard.... been struggling to wash my face and brush my teeth (especially bc my mouth is practically torn to shreds rn and everything hurts). BUT. today i was able to do some cleaning, take a long warm shower for my joints, brush my teeth gently, do my skincare, etc ❤️‍🩹 im EXHAUSTED now, and it's gonna suck to wake up early the next 2 days when i can hardly get up before noon... but i'm done with a lot of the big stuff ❤️‍🩹
