Okay, really unpopular opinion, but I feel like being in a relationship with Ghost would be tough. Like, borderline abusive, at least emotionally. This man is a war criminal with PTSD, a traumatic childhood, and trust issues. He's a gruff man that's been through the ringer, and he will put you through the ringer before he lowers his walls and lets you in. Once that happens, he'd switch to an emotionally unavailable asshole, to an emotionally unavailable asshole that's now obsessed with knowing your every move, and mistrusting anyone who gets too close to you. At best, he's distant. At worst, you'll need intensive therapy.

The Mystery of Monsters

where do they come from, what do they seek, how did they come to exist, why has nobody of the OPMverse questioned why there had come to be so many monsters recently.

I learnt from a history class once:

Monsters exist to demonstrate - to show some important perspective, to teach us a lesson, to let us learn of what we would miss without their exaggeration of it. Their behaviour shocks us to revelation through extremity.

Not 怪物, Not 怪獣, But 怪人. lit. Strange People

notice how OPM uses the term *怪人* for the monsters, rather than common default of 怪物 lit. Strange Things, or 怪獣 lit. Strange Beasts.

人: a character for person, people, human.

which might imply, just as we read, some of the Mysterious Ones were once Human

The Human who becomes ill of heart & mind, taken by obsession, driven to madness, full of desperation, resort to extremity. Ill of senses, sanity lost, they defy reason, they manifest as macabre phenomena.

The Human itself harbours seed of monstrosity.

Rather than treat the symptom of an epidemic & fight them when they appear unpredictably, why not try to understand root causes of their emergence, look into why they exist first of all, from where or what they originate, how to curb their descent to monstrosity from resolution of base issues?

It's shown human-origin monsters can revert if they regain sense of their humanity & have will of heart to do so. Even non-human origin ones often escalated from environmental factors, eg. pollution, unethical experiments, etc. then they go out & wreck havoc to air their grievances, so it seems an endless battle for humans, who also undeniably caused some of the issues bound to fester into monstrosity.

( I was cleaning out my drafts and I forgot about this. The bloodline Civil War kicked off at bad blood. ) I So I decided to go back and watch smack down after mania and I skipped until the part where solo and jimmy are standing in the ring and Paul says we don’t blame Jey uso. The bloodline was not going to effect jey winning his first singles title. Now once the civil war starts the blood line will probably make jey lose the title.

Would love to see more of the many ways Rick fell in love with Michonne in his dreams. What do you think they’d be like?

Oh my gosh yes, I’d tune in to watch each and every dream Rick had of falling in love with Michonne. 🤩 I wrote out my answer below and I'd love to hear even more takes on what people think Rick's other dreams were like. Thanks for asking!

First; I have so many questions about what the different dreams entail. Because of course, I want to know every detail lol. Like would they cross paths in all new environments every single time? Or would it also be like the same park for a few of the scenarios but the way they meet and fall in love changes during different dreams? Were the park dreams we saw an example of one of their quicker-paced or slower-paced falling-in-love scenarios? What were the different ways he pursued Dream Michonne based on the personal things he knows about her? 

While I don't have specifics of what the dreams would be like, from what we know of Rick’s mind, I think the key factors that were probably consistent in every dream were that 1) he becomes lovestruck the second he sees Michonne, similar to when he turned around and saw her on the park bench.

The dreams could be at a museum, coffee shop, gala, grocery store, or even on another planet, no matter where it is the second he locks eyes with Michonne he’s instantly captivated by her everytime.

And 2) at some point in each of the dream scenarios he proposes and she accepts. I feel like since Rick was planning to propose and even have a ceremony with Michonne, Rick’s mind probably constantly imagined actually getting to follow through with that. 

I really will never get over the fact that dreaming of falling in love with Michonne is a major part of how Rick coped while he was taken. Like it’s just so special. And it’s sweet because his mind could have routinely dreamed about his and Michonne’s actual life as a married couple before he was taken or routinely dreamed of him and her growing old together in the future, etc. But by dreaming continuously about the falling in love stage, it shows that he really does cherish the time of getting to know her, pursuing her, and then falling completely in love with her and her with him.

In some way shape or form, Rick needed to get home and his mind knew one of the few ways to make him feel at home was to dream up Michonne. 🥹
