Buggy, making his way through the vents as usual: ~♪ Buggy, pausing when he detects an obstruction coming up in one of the cross-sections: ? Buggy, moves forward to investigate and pauses again upon seeing what the obstruction is: !!! Dogma, curled up into a tight ball with very obvious tear-tracks marking his slightly puffy face: Buggy, beeping in concern and approaching him: D:> Dogma, looking over at Buggy despondently before sighing and laying his head back down: Buggy, beeping again as he moves forward to lightly prod Dogma, now even more worried than before: ? Dogma: ... -quietly rests a hand over Buggy's chassis and pats him lightly to show his appreciation for the mouse droid- ... Buggy, trilling softly before settling down next to Dogma to comfort him further: Dogma, sighing softly as he wraps his arms around Buggy: .... Thank you. Buggy, chirping happily at having done a good job comforting his friend: <3

Alright, since I finally finished it a few weeks ago, I must reccommend my own fic, The Number Lads!

Basically, I figured that since ARC-27-5555 exists as a valid designation.... then what about CT-1111? What about CC-6666, briefly mentioned in Legends and video games? What about ARC-0000??? WELL THEY ALL EXIST, 1111 THRU 0000. This fic is a fix-it where I see how much of canon I can change by simply having eleven guys in a group chat, gossipping about the war. There are chat fics, there are OCs out the ears, there are goofy moments, tense moments... not too many really sad moments.... and art included too!

HELL YEAH FOR NUMERICAL CLONE OCs! I love this idea and the art for them as well! We all need some of those goofy moments at times (I know, I know, I live for angst, but YOU GOTTA HAVE BALANCE), and I think having the fic based around these types of interactions is super neat! I hadn’t posted this on tumblr yet but I’ve been working on a robot dude concept for my portfolio, here’s some concept art and a final render. I also wrote a small paragraph about their background which you can read beneath the cut!

Lore:

The area his robot lived in used to be a warzone, and the robot used to be a war machine. Years after the war had ended, various people tried to rebuild their homes in the wastelands that the war had left. Many used scrap from ruined houses to build up new ones, and people even reprogrammed some war robots to help them with the rebuilding of the area and other daily tasks. These wastelands, however, were slightly contaminated by radioactive/chemical spills from weapons used in the war. Once the people realised this, they all fled and left the rebuilt city and robots for what they were.

One person, a mechanic, falling I’ll because of the radiation, knew it was too late for them to return to safer lands, so they decided to try and upload their memory and conscience to their helper robot. Despite all their effort, they were short on time and only half succeeded in uploading the insides of their brain to the robot. This resulted in the robot becoming semi self aware and remembering fragments of a life they never lived themselves.

The reformed robot now roams the land looking for their own past and purpose while slowly breaking down because they too, weren’t fully immune to the radioactive substances since the mechanic installed some organic parts to make the robot more susceptible to their brain.

The cat on its shoulder was the mechanics house pet. The cat once lost its leg but the mechanic replaced it with a mechanical leg, enabling the cat to keep on living. Unlike humans, that were killed by the radiation, the cat seems to only be mutating slowly. With no real reason for the cat to stay behind, the cat now follows the robot through forgotten wastelands simply because they recognise traces of their previous owner in the robot.

Forgot to post this!

Sketched this little buddy from my textual roleplay yesterday. His name is Stooge (though it's not really an accurate localization of the one slang word that became his original name) and he's a reprogrammed B1 droid. He mostly assists Tech as needed, but because he has very little RAM, he is considered more of an emotional support droid. He is sometimes used as a note-taking board.

Crosshair drew him goggles with a permanent marker. Tech is not impressed.

Coric: You're pretty proud of yourself, aren't you? Kix, applying a frozen hydropack to his swollen eye while grinning smugly: I am content, yes. Coric: You do realize the black eye was pretty pointless right? The Intern and their buddies were already in hot water. Kix: Maybe... But I needed to drive the point home. Those good for nothing shabuire were a menace, and I needed to make sure everyone could see how volatile they were. Coric: Well, decking a medic for no apparent reason certainly does make the natborns look bad... How did you even get them to do that without baiting them? Kix: Long-con. With batchers like mine, you learn to play a good manipulation game... Either way, I just hope the boys in engineering can salvage Buggy. Dogma has been... Pretty miserable. Coric: I would be too, if my friend who should be safe at base was suddenly destroyed by a bunch of utreekove... -glances towards the door when he hears it opening up- ...Speaking of. Hello Dogma. Dogma, seeming to be in higher spirits: Sir. Coric: None of that, I'm off the clock. Just keeping an eye on this sheb'ika who went and got himself a shiner. Kix: Hey Dogma. How did it go? Dogma: Buggy has been successfully repaired and rebooted. There was some data corruption, but it wasn't as severe as I'd anticipated. He... He remembers we are friends. Kix: That's great! Dogma, smiling shyly: ... It is. It's been suggested that I move his recharge station under my bunk, so that I can keep tabs on his maintenance logs. Just in case any other files get corrupted. Coric: It's ok to admit you're a little attached to the little guy. Either way, I'm happy that things have been resolved without too much injury.

When Droids babysit Grievous's kid...

so I made up some Medtech OCs and finished art of them just in time for @starwars-art-events 's OC event

Deacon is a Nice Young Man who left university to join the rebellion. When he isn't tending to patients, he's helping convert droids to new occupations.

Delila used to run a tattoo parlor in Coruscant's lower levels...and also maybe pity dated Kallus' older brother. She got off that rock not long after the Empire rose to power, and while she has no classical training as a medtech, she'll stich you up good.

Old Man Henderson was cobbled together from a bunch of trashed droid parts, and has been Delila's tattoo assistant ever since. He hates teenagers. He knew Kallus as a teenager and hates him still.
