Karrde's Fandom Friday Rec #3 (4/26/24)

For my last rec this week, I think I'm gonna do a self-rec for the first time ever. I'm finally going to have time to write (which I am very excited about) since I quit my job this week, and my 18+ fic One Step at a Time is going to be at the top of my "to write" list. It's a fic centered around my clone pilot OC Chuckles and two jedi youngling OCs (Arni and Nita). It's got accidental parenting, a healthy amount of Chuckles's terrible jokes, plenty of whump and angst, and a pinch of spice. I'm pretty proud of it thus far and where it's going, so if you haven't checked it out already, I would love for you to give it a read!

This one shot is short and sweet! I love it when fic authors and fan artists can take a one-off line or mention (in this case, the batch insisting that they're not in it for the medals and such) and expand it into something more meaningful. I'm also a HUGE sucker for artistically-inclined Hunter and I eat it up every time.

OOOOOH always love a good short and sweet little fic. And I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU. Taking that little thread and just watching a writer spin it into a fleshed out interaction that's so good you wish you'd gotten to see it in canon? *chef's kiss*. Coming in hot with The Plant Prowler of Pabu from the wonderful @dystopicjumpsuit this delightful fic (which contains minor spoilers for season 3 of TBB) and all the creative listings of plant crimes was on my mind a lot when I was down and out with a cold for a good while, recently. Highly recommend!

Still in my Batfam brainrot, and I feel like this work has been submitted before, but the latest two chapters (at the time I write this) actually altered my brain chemistry, so here you are again!

Absolutely love this art made by @ominouspuff. all of their art is stunning, but that set in particular is by far my favorite and I CANNOT get it out of my head. (CW for mild blood)

This piece absolutely takes my breath away every time it crosses my dash. The color theme and all of the little details are just PHENOMENAL and I feel like I see something new every time. I think it perfectly captures the tragedy of the Coruscant Guard in just the most beautiful way. Thanks so much for sending it in!

Hello, I just discovered your account through a mutual and first of all, I wanna say how much I love the idea! This is so cool!🥹🤍 Second of all, I saw that self-recs are allowed and ecouraged so I thought maybe I could pitch my own current ongoing fic over on Ao3🫣

we were a family pulled from the flood by me! (Jo_Rolle on Ao3)

This is a Bad Batch post-season 2 Plan 99-fix-it (now more of a canon-divergence). It's Crosshair (and Omega) centred and from his POV. I feel a bit awkward submitting this but then again, one of my new years resolutions was to try and be prouder of my work and this I'm kinda proud of and I worked/am working very hard on😅 Also, I think anyone interested in Clone culture will also enjoy this! I really tried to make their language and culture as complex, realistic and multi-layered as possible without taking away from Crosshair's story.

With S3 almost over maybe anyone else would find joy in this? Sending lots of love to both the host of this blog and the rest of the fandom!!💕💕💕
