You have to warm him up to cuddles, but once you do his is always always ready

He kind of assumes you know how best to handle binding, but he will still keep an eye out and start to nudge you if you’ve had it on too long

This man doesn’t clean, he’s no help cleaning your binder, BUT he will bring you masculine clothing from a victims house...you just may need to use some lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide on it because I don’t think it was originally that shade of red

I think he’s more a bath person, and would love to try and return the kindness you show him by giving you a bath when you feel dysphoric. Might add too many bubbles, but he figures the more bubbles = the easier to hide under

Back to transphobia: he either kills them especially brutally, or really quickly because they don’t deserve the time of day. It depends on how badly they pissed him off. If someone misgenders you on purpose, you will see their face on the news the same day Mikey comes back with his coveralls soaked and pieces of flesh spattered onto his figure

He’s the kind of guy that you have to show him what to do at first to be helpful and validating, but after that he’s good to go. Give him a break he was never properly socialized as a child :(

Sometimes I genuinely hate being genderfluid and I have moments where I really regret coming out.

For me personally…being genderfluid isn’t about using any pronouns but more about using all pronouns depending on how I feel.

For example, certain days I will identify as a boy, other days as a girl and some days as non binary.

I have days where I feel super masculine and I want to chop off all my hair and wear my binder to appear flat and have people use he/him for me.

Other days I’m comfy being feminine and wearing girly clothes and being called a girl.

But on days when dysphoria hits, getting misgendered hurts so much it makes me wanna rip my skin off and cry.

When I came out to my friend group which consisted mostly of trans people I seriously thought I’d feel supported but no, I feel the exact opposite.

I know I don’t exactly pass cause I can’t chop my hair off to appear more masculine/androgynous cause of transphobic parents but I still do my best to appear masculine on days where I feel like a guy, like wearing my binder and wearing masculine clothes. But that’s just isn’t enough. I still get misgendered. Still get called by my feminine name.

And I could just speak up about it

But…I don’t want to seem like I’m making it a big deal

Nobody else in the group seems to get misgendered

It seems to be just be the case for me.

It was disheartening when being trans got demedicalised, but so many people on here were cheering it on. Gender dysphoria is a medical condition. Gender affirming care is medical care. Everyone was comparing it to gay people being demedicalised but it is not VAGUELY the same. It’s just so frustrating that, politically, the side who would medicalise being trans again, is out of hate and not out of care.

EXACTLY!!! i'm so sorry if you're trans and saw that happen, that must have been annoying as fuck and just really dismissive of your struggles. it wasn't the case for most of history on the left, people would see it more as a medical condition afaik and transphobia meant more a mix of ableism and sexism than anything else. trans ppl as a whole were very respectful, and trans was a very specific term. i honestly feel like transsexual & transgender are vastly different identities nowadays. you can be trans in the sense of having a mental disorder needing treatment & accommodations, and you can be trans (usually nonbinary) in the sense that you're wanting to be androgynous to go against society and you want to reshape society and stop sex-based pronouns from being a thing and generally hate cis people. i've met people who said they literally were identifying as nonbinary (which nowadays is under trans) for political reasons, bc it goes against the evil gender binary and they wanted to confuse people. it's all an obsessive game for some folks (not all), or crossdressing/drag in a sense. tbh i sometimes wonder if nonbinary really should be under the transgender umbrella...? for a long time i saw ppl say they're nonbinary and still cis, they just used nonbinary to basically mean gnc/androgynous. that was a thing for the longest time, and transness was a totally different thing, though they were friendly together. they reallyyy seemed to have diff goals in mind

some would say being gnc falls under transness, and like yeah being gnc can be a big part of being trans obviously but also you can be gnc and not be trans and still face terrible sexism that even some trans ppl don't face!! gncphobia/sexism is its own issue. with transness you're basically looking to solve the initial gender nonconformity, you're looking to shift your body to look like the opposite sex... it's a mental illness treatment, though ppl get really heated when you call transness a mental illness, i definitely would've been a couple years ago... despite dysphoria literally being in the dsm. there should be no stigma around transness - transsexualism at least anyway, what does transgender truly mean nowadays? - being a mental disorder! it's such a disability accommodation type thing compared to gayness. it's SOOOO radically different. but trans activists often piggyback onto the gay rights movement bc it makes their activism seem more legitimate and above any criticism. any concern about it is transphobia, and transphobia is exactly like homophobia. many would even say it's worse. it's bonkers honestly!

ppl really rushed to add the t to lgbt but it always felt different, didn't it? one literally needs surgeries and hormones and accommodations, and the other is just harmless behaviors needing to be normalized. gayness is NOT a medical issue, or it never should've been considered as such. yet TRAs keep putting us in the same boat nonstop!!! and not just that but taking control of the boat and talking shit about those damn cis gays who don't want to suck dick or eat pussy or deal with a sexless opposite-sex relationship and keep bringing up stupid feminist questions like dumb bigoted bitches who have it way too easy. they normalize lying about their agab/sex in early or even late stages of dating, they're just against the concept of sex-based attraction or oppression or even sex existing!! which goes directly against how old-school trans ppl treated the whole thing. and that's also despite them using afab/amab (or tma/tme) all the time!! they repress even being their assigned sex/agab instead of learning to actually accept it as a part of themselves, which i recommend everyone to do, even if transitioned... they so often are against desensitizing themselves AT ALL to dysphoria triggers, and therapists who try are cancelled, when that is not the usually complex way that mental disorders are treated.

usually treatment is a journey, not just point A to B, and it should be seen critically. i've seen non-dysphoric ppl talk over dysphoric transmascs and transfems too! and if a trans person is more respectful of cis folks they're called a bootlicker. some of the ones being loud and obnoxious for all intent and purposes often live as vaguely gnc, usually straight people, but they yell about how queer they are aaaall day and act like they're more oppressed than boring gays or transsexuals. it's so bewildering! they're basically roleplaying as facing things they don't actually face irl. it's so weird. i'm sorry those ppl are ridiculing and derailing the very serious trans movement. they're literally setting trans rights back instead of helping themselves!!! i truly feel bad for classic transsexuals having to deal with non-dysphorics who don't stay in their lane, and for normie respectful trans/nb ppl of all kinds being shushed everytime

Ugh I wish there was a better way to deal with periods because accidents happen and it's embarrassing as hell. When I'm on mine I hate leaving the house. Hubby has to drag me out and bribe me, usually with whatever I'm craving. You can tell by the way I walk if I'm "on the rag" because I become super paranoid about my pad bunching up and causing spillage. I've seen that there's underwear that is for periods that is washable/reusable and I've debated on getting a few pairs to see if that works out. And before anyone suggests anything that needs to be inserted in my vagina, don't. I'm not comfortable with that shit and hate it to high hell. The few times I've had to suck it up and deal with a tampon I walked like I rode a horse bare back for a week straight. Sometimes I walked as if I was going to piss myself. I guess the tampon sizes were different, but I hated the feeling of something being inside of me. So, nah, pads all the way. But pad technology needs to go further to ensure shit like this doesn't happen. Folks that have periods should be able to do normal day to day stuff without embarrassing accidents happening. Who wants to tell an employee "Hey, I'm sorry but I seem to have bled on these shorts"? I assume the best thing on the market would be the thinx underwear. They even have boxer brief cuts which is great for someone that is trans experiencing a period that doesn't want to deal with "feminine hygiene products". Yeah it's really gross to come across this kind of thing but it's not something uterus owning people can control 100% of the time. Sometimes the Ugly Red Mistress of Flo rears her angry head when we least expect it. Society has taught those with vaginas to be ashamed of the natural course of their bodily functions so we tuck our heads down and hide instead of owning up to accidents. If society didn't treat periods like it does then maybe that customer would have brought the shorts out and said "Sorry, it looks like I got my period and didn't know it when I tried these on". But we're not taking body dysphoria into account here. That's a whole new level of hell that a lot of us can't fathom.

Bottom line, TLDR, the person that tried those on might have noticed and was horrified and too embarrassed to tell staff about it for any number of reasons. We're failing as a society when teaching our children about normal bodily functions so that people feel the need to hide these kinds of occurrences instead of be open and honest. -Abby

TFW have a bad dysphoria day, and they do some self-care.

Sam throws down a paper bag in front of Dean. “What’s this?” 

Cas sniffs and looks at him. “It smells like hamburgers.”

Sam rolls her eyes and taps her nose. “Bingo.”

“I’m good.” Dean shifts his jaw around and pulls the blanket up higher over his chest. Sam sighs at him. 

“When was the last time you ate?” He looks at her bitchily. “No, don’t answer that. It was lunch yesterday, and it was a lunchable. Like you’re seven years old.”

“Fuck you, lunchables are good.”

“Lunchables are mediocre and disappointing.”

“Fuck you! Dessert pizza lunchables have never let me down!” Dean turns the volume up pointedly. Sam stays standing for another long moment. All of them are silent, Dean still trying to watch the TV but only out of spite and Cas paying closer attention to the sibling drama.

“Look, I get it. We all feel like shit, alright? But laying here feeling like shit isn’t gonna make us feel better, so we can eat bad food and paint our nails and feel like shit.”

“Can we get drunk?” 

Cas furrows his brows. “Drinking is not a productive way to deal with emotional pain.” 

“Disagree.” Dean sits up and reaches for the burgers, and Sam figures that’s a good sign. She goes for the Walmart bag next and pulls out the fancy little self-manicure kits she got them. She would’ve gone for the frilly little robes too, because she knows they all love them, but on a bad dysphoria day, Dean won’t even look at the color pink, let alone wear a robe. “If you can’t think about your body long enough to feel bad about it, you don’t feel so bad.”

Cas unwraps his own burger and takes off the top bun, still perched on the edge of the couch cushion. He peels the pickles off and hands them to Dean, who piles them on his own burger without even asking. They’re a well oiled machine at this point. “Touché.”

Sam sighs. Now things are going back downhill. She kicks at Dean until he makes room for her on the couch and plops down. “Not you too, Cas. I thought we were on the same side here?”

Cas shrugs and pulls off his shirt before he keeps eating his food. That’s one of the differences between Cas and Sam and Dean; when Cas is dysphoric, he takes clothes off, versus the oversized three layers of clothing and blankets Dean and Sam have covered themselves in. “I like margaritas.”

Sam rolls their eyes. “How about milkshakes and Queer Eye?”

Cas snatches a milkshake from Sam, eying the color before looking back at them. “Strawberry? I like strawberry.”

“I know you do.”

Dean looks between them grumpily. “Do I get one too?”

Sam lets a small smile cross their face. “Chocolate for you. Butterscotch for me.” She sips hers smugly. 

“Can we watch something other than Queer Eye?” Dean asks, dipping a fry into his. 

“Are you sure? There’s that one with a trans guy, we could-”

“Sam.” Dean balls in on himself and sniffs. “I don’t wanna think about how we’re different right now okay? Even if it’s about how our differences are kumbaya or some shit, I just don’t wanna-”

“Ok, yeah, I get it.” She leans against her brother. “That’s not how kumbaya works though-”

Sam passes out the nail polish while they start the movie. Cas gets a dark blue and pink (He likes to alternate colors on every finger), Dean gets a classic black, and Sam goes with purple. Yes, they’re classic colors for each of them. And sometimes you need the classic comforts. 

“Cas, baby, isn’t that really fucking uncomfortable sitting like that?” Dean asks, his worry sneaking towards grumpiness. Cas looks back from his perch unhappily. He shrugs rather than answers, and Dean sighs. Cas doesn’t just get human dysphoria from him being trans or Jimmy being trans. He also gets Angel-brand dysphoria; he hates sitting against a couch because it reminds him of the state of his wings. “C’mere.”

Cas only hesitates for a moment before he climbs on Dean’s lap. It’s something they do sometimes, being up on Dean gives Cas beside and below him, like a buffer so he can think about it less. Dean hugs him from behind and puts his head on his shoulder so he can still watch the movie, and Cas holds his milkshake so he can still drink it. Sam scoffs at them. “You guys are ridiculous.”

“Sh, don’t get bitter just because your girlfriend is off being a big badass during pride.” Dean grabs Sam’s hand and her nail polish and starts in on it. He is the best nail polisher of them, considering he’s had the most practice. That, and the fact that he’s obsessively neat and has surprisingly steady hands. 

Sam glares but lets him do it. “Yeah, well, I still think it’s pretty homophobic of her. Transphobic, too, if you think about it.”

“And your other girlfriend?”

She rolls her eyes. “She’s a busy fucking woman, thank you very much.”

“Right, right, dating a girl boss.”

“Technically, a queen.” Cas corrects. 

“Mhm,” Sam allows herself to get a little smug.

“Look at us, just a bunch of queens watching an animated zoo movie and not getting drunk in our rapidly approaching middle age.”

but i personally get so much joy out of trans people delighting in their bodies. i wanna write about euphoria. vax loves his long hair and he loves looking like his sister--there’s a certain amount of pride there, like yeah she’s a badass yeah we look the same :3. vax loves being flexible enough to slide under closing walls and shimmy up trees like they’re nothing.

keyleth loves the long, flat planes of her body. she loves her freckles and she loves her small boobs and she loves her square shoulders and the curve of her nose.

it takes them both a while to come around to their ears as anything but a symbol of their not belonging anywhere, but seeing them on each other is different. they can no longer bitch about their ears without being uncomfortably conscious of the other in their vicinity. and one day vax gets keyleth a little golden cuff with tiny flowers cascading down in a chain and it just looks so lovely on her--how could you possibly hate those ears? and it’s not long before it’s easier for both of them to look in the mirror and smile

Trans Bakugou HC????

His first genuine smile happened after waking up from top surgery to see himself finally weightless after years of drowning. No one would ever forget how bright and alive he seemed as tears fell down his face in the hospital. Kirishima could have sworn to hearing a laugh slip through at one point, but of course that was denied.

Bakugou designed his hero suit to be a cross tank because he assumed his top surgery would have been done by then but sadly, kidnapping and hero bs got in the way. Now he has to wear sports bras under it until the appointment can be booked. Leaving him pissed and just slightly dysphoric out and about which helps aid his sour mood while training.

My poor boy Bakugou has D cups. Pray for him😔...No, but for real. The size of his unfortunate lumps caused a lot of dysphoria while wearing his hero suit. (Going back to the previous bullet) Because of their size, it was a lot harder to bind to satisfactory which led to a lot of methods being used until he just said fuck it and started weight lifting. (For those who don’t know, weight lifting turns breast tissue into muscle and some other cool pectoral shit. I know this because my Ma is a personal trainer.) It shrunk him down a few sizes while building muscle, giving the illusion of pecs so wearing a sports bra was bearable.

Bakugou went through many phases of figuring out who he wanted to be (that’s obvious but I’m not talking about gender wise) in terms of style and personality. He tried different types of styles until one stuck, now he looks like a gremlin in baggy clothes (on occasions). He also went through a makeup phase to try and darken his features.

When Bakugou is really dysphoric, he hunches over and grumbles a lot. Everyone usually stays away, discounting Midoriya and Kirishima. Them being the bravest and brightest always gang up on Bakugou to help bring his spirits and confidence up. Even let him get the anger out with a rough spar.

Bakugou changes in the bathroom of the locker room to avoid invasive eyes (Mineta) or is released 5 minutes early by his teachers to get a head start.

During his pre-top surgery days, Bakugou would wear a baggy shirt into the pool But practically avoided it altogether. The first person to really get him comfortable enough to uncross his arms in the pool, given that they somehow coaxed him in, was Kirishima.

Bakugou was never self conscious about his height, being visited by the height fairy during puberty but his hips and chest? Count them as life ruiners. Baby had so many dysphoria episodes in front of the mirror that he turned into an angry introvert.

T does a lot of shit to your body, one of those being heightening your aggression levels. If Bakugou was already slightly aggressive to begin with, his pleasancey took a nose dive after starting T.

Sigh, back on my KiriBaku bs but anyway. THE FIRST PERSON TO EVER CALL BAKUGOU MANLY WAS KIRISHIMA. AND THAT SHIT HIT DIFFERENTLY.

Uhmmm pro hero Bakuhou starting a fundraiser for trans kids and adults who are homeless, jobless (Aka struggling), in need of support or looking for others like them, searching for clarity, even protection. Bakugou is like the trans Jesus, that is all.

He literally hates what he feels like when someone points out that his mother and him look alike. Yeah, he fucking gets it but is there a need to point it out? Damn.

COMMITS himself to doing regular vocal excersises to lower his voice, even with T. His usual gruff tone is to mask the voice cracks he gets on the hormones, because that would be embarrassing.

When Bakugou got the call that he was going to get top surgery, he literally blew his phone up with so much excitment then burst into tears.

Showers suck- nuff said.

Midoriya was the first person to ever know about Bakugou being trans. So, he started bullying Midoriya into silence but soon realized the boy wouldn’t have uttered a word anyway and simply wanted to help and be there for him. Of course, Bakugou, being young and new to the life change, wanted everyone who had once known him as a girl to be gone. That meant he would try and remove Midoriya from his life for good but the green boy just kept on bouncing back. Imagine his surprise to know the one person with his secret would be attending high school with him. Shit got flipped.

All of the girls carry extra supplies for emergencies. Bakugou does too but sometimes a p*riod (I bleep because it can be a sensitive topic) just pops out of nowhere. It gets him frustrated and embarrassed whenever he isn’t prepared but the girls somehow always know the right timing to whisk him off to help or stealthily stuff some things into his pocket as they cross paths. It’s like a cartel of drugs but the girls are being true friends with pads in the end. Kirishima even got on the bandwagon and started carrying supplies for whoever may need it.

Bakugou refused to wear tampons, shit was a no go.

In the beginning, Bakugou would frequently steal one of the girl’s heating pads whenever the pain got unbearable. They hardly minded but Momo gifted him one as a present. He uses it all the time.

After he came out and became comfortable, Bakugou would joke about donating his lumps to the girls that bitched about being small chested. (We are looking at you Jirou). “Free unfortunate lumps for sale! I don’t want them, take the damn things!”, “Hey! Give me your chest, switch with me!”

Bakugou is a night dweller for many reasons. 1.) Time to not bind and give himself a break while doing stretches. 2.) snacks are Free real estate 3.) It’s easier to not bind while everyone isn’t there to witness him walking to relieve tension.

Bakugou once heard that frequent conception of coffee leads to a decrease in breast size by 0.3 cups. Bakugou ended up consuming so much that he stayed up for a total of 72 hours, almost overdosed, couldn’t sit still, finished everyone’s homework plus his own, deep cleaned the entire dorm and trained until he crashed. Now, he hates the taste of it but swears that his little shits shrunk a whole cup.

Imma say this loudly because it’s my favorite hc mostly because it’s what I do. BAKUGOU HATES WEARING LIGHT COLORS, THE BIGGEST FUCK NO GOS OUT TO WHITE SHIRTS. HE PREFERS TO WEAR DARK COLORS BECAUSE HIS BINDER IS BLACK. THE ONLY REASON HE WEARS HIS UNFORM, BEGRUDGINGLY, IS BECAUSE THE MATERIAL ISNT SEE THROUGH AND IT IS ALSO CRUMPLY. Bakugou wears headphones while going about in public for a few reasons. 1.) He doesn’t like interacting with people and the headphones usually wards them off from bothering him. 2.) Loud music in his ears tends to tune out people misgendering him and transphobes being chucklefucks.

Bakugou got his respect to be called a guy from his family by blatantly ignoring anyone who called him by his deadman and/or used the wrong pronouns. “Bitch, suddenly I can’t hear. I don’t know who you think you are calling.”

Asking for help to become not transphobic

This is a long rant, very unorganized. Sometimes I don’t know where I’m going with it. But basically, I’ve been on terfblr in secret for the last 3 years or so, and I’ve become transphobic during that time. I want help to try and change. If anyone could point me to any articles, documentaries, studies, etc to help me get out, I would appreciate it. If you can add in your own two cents, that would be appreciated as well. I’m not sure how much I’ll respond to replies or reblogs on this post, or DMs, as I’m pretty shy and non confrontational (hence why I was on terfblr in secret). But I will read everything!

Basically I agree with a lot of things terf believe, but one thing I want is to find a way to escape the transphobic side of everything. I want to be a radical feminist minus the trans exclusionary part. I’m pretty leftist and progressive, but I hate being bigoted in this way. I almost feel like someone that’s fallen down a neo nazi rabbit hole, in the ways that I have to hide my true beliefs from friends and family. The problem is, I just can’t find a way to for my brain to make peace with a lot of principles of present-day trans activism.

I feel like the only way to make progress is to first just flat out say I’m transphobic. In many ways I’m not, but in a lot of ways I am. That way when I ask my questions, people aren’t just like “that’s really transphobic of you to ask” and shut me down. I want to be kinder, but I need to be able to say what I think. Like how you need to be able to write out your math in order to find any mistakes. But the way things are now, my math looks perfectly fine to me.

So that everyone understands where I’m coming from, here’s a summary of my beliefs:

I agree with terfs/swerfs on a lot of things. I believe there are 2 sexes, gender is a social construct that is not at all innate, women face female-specific oppression, sex work is dehumanizing, there is no such thing as a genital fetish, I think in recent years that some people are transitioning when they not “actually trans,” etc. And there are some more petty things I get annoyed at like saying “uterus owners” or “pregnant people.” I also disagree with the term swerf (though I don’t think terf/swerfs are slurs). I want to protect women and sex workers. To me, this is like calling people who are against child labor “child exclusionary human rights activists.” In my mind I’m trying to do a good thing for them. Sex work is the commodification of consent— which imo can’t be commodified.

But then on the other hand there are a lot of topics on which terfs would disagree with me. I think we should respect peoples’ pronouns, trans people should be able to use what bathroom they want, using someone’s deadname is rude, for many people medical transition is necessary, there are cases where it is appropriate for children to transition, and even if gender roles were totally nonexistent, there would still be trans people.

Here’s where I think I started to get sucked up into “terf” ideology: I think dysphoria is necessary to be trans. I think this was the “gateway drug” that made me into a terf. This stems from my belief that there are two sexes, gender is fake, and your biology is tied to being trans. My understanding of dysphoria is this: It is a state of being dissatisfied with the sex of your body, feeling like it shouldn’t be the way it is. Like how some people feel like a limb shouldn’t exist, and they want to cut it off (I can see how this analogy is a bit transphobic, I just don’t see how else to explain my understanding). Dysphoria is innate, and would exist no matter how men and women are viewed in society. If you don’t have dysphoria, then what is the point of being trans? Is it to change the gender roles you have to/don’t have to adhere to? Could that not be solved by being gnc? And wouldn’t it be more progressive to push to abolish gender? How is transitioning without dysphoria anything other than reinforcing gender roles?

I’m not trying to be bigoted, these are genuine questions and concerns I have that keep me in terf circles.

There are also just so many things my eyes have been opened to on terfblr. Why porn and sex work is harmful to women, why makeup and sexualized clothing is bad, how to read between the lines in advertising targeting women, seeing just how much woman-hate there is everywhere and how acceptable it is in society. These are beliefs I could never see myself abandoning.

Just a heads up: I use the phrase “trans positive” as an antonym to the word “transphobic” (can’t think of a better one atm).

But with the whole trans issue, that’s where I feel like I might have crawled into a hole that I want to get myself out of. I don’t like that in being a terf, many would consider me to be a hateful and bigoted person. I want to be progressive, and on the right side of history. But there are so many things that I see in modern day trans activism that just don’t make sense to me logically, and some that I view as actively harmful. Like reinforcing gender roles, or eliminating the ability to talk about sex-specific and female-specific issues. It seems every few months things that were once considered trans positive to believe are now transphobic. Most of the time, progress like this is wonderful! It’s good when realize they have racist, sexist, homophobic, etc microagressions and work towards becoming better people. That’s great! But a lot of the times the new transphobic things just don’t make sense. For example, I realized saying things like “bitch” or “cunt” casually was sexist, and it made sense. But if I were to say your sexuality is based on someone’s sex, not their gender, that’s transphobic because it implies trans women aren’t real women, or trans men aren’t real men. If they pass, society can see them as being men or women. But biologically, they aren’t. That’s why the word “trans” goes in front of their name. It just doesn’t make sense to me how it’s transphobic to have a sexuality, so having what’s basically a “gender-ality” is the only acceptable thing now. Obviously it would be rude to go around telling every trans person “actually, you’re not a REAL man/woman!” randomly. But when the context permits, like with dating or for female-specific issues, I just don’t see how it’s transphobic to acknowledge a very relevant biological reality.

Trying to say anything relating to feminist issues in a non-transphobic way feels to me like walking on eggshells to escape a maze. It would be easy to give up and just say everything’s related to gender, sex is a social construct yet somehow gender’s innate, and go with the flow but I just can’t if it doesn’t make sense to me. I know I don’t have to understand everything about everyone else’s experiences, especially if it’s not hurting other people, but I feel like in some ways trans activism nowadays is.

I just wish all this made sense to me and I could happily say I support everything trans positive. I don’t want to be transphobic. In some ways I’m not, but in so many ways I am, and I want to change. But I want things to make sense at the same time. Currently it feels like terf beliefs align with common sense, while believing a lot of principles of trans activism takes so much mental gymnastics.

Obviously if you don’t want to respond you don’t have to. It’s not your responsibility to change me— it’s my responsibility to change myself, and fix my beliefs. But if anyone is willing to listen or help, that would be appreciated. I feel like a lot of terfs start out where I did— initially trans positive, but had just one or two issues that brought them to terfblr, and they come out the other side transphobic. Hopefully helping me will help at least one other person down the line.

I feel terrible interacting with trans people, knowing I follow and listen to so many terfs. I have so many conflicting feelings and beliefs and I wish things could balance out the right way.

like. i bought my first binders recently, right. and that’s cool. i can’t wear them a lot because chronic pain’s a bitch and I get lightheaded just by standing up but they’re. really nice. but that’s not what’s Bothering me the most?? like no I don’t like my chest sometimes but also yes I do like it sometimes and mostly I feel ambivalent

honestly the thing that’s the most frustrating to me. which has been extremely difficult to navigate as someone who’s vaguely asexual & has a weird relationship with sex & masturbation. is the whole ~downstairs zone~. like i don’t even know what to CALL it bc I hate it so much

I have never wanted my period, which is one thing, and I’m trying to get to an ob & also talk to my regular doc to figure out what the fuck we might be able to do about that without destroying the rest of my health. but like... functionally. in terms of What I Have. I don’t want a Cis Dude Dick but I very specifically feel like i should have both a slot and a tab if you catch my drift (i am a little bit intoxicated and personally I think that’s a funny way of phrasing things and it’s one I can tolerate without feeling wrong)

and i don’t want to go on T for a lot of reasons. health stuff for one, sure, but also like... one of the biggest things is that I don’t want my voice to drop. I’m a singer, I like the versatility I have, and after so long trying to accept that I’m not terrible/hopeless musically I don’t really want to force myself to go through that again. but every time I see a trans guy talk about bottom growth, or read an article about it, or however the fuck i come across it. i feel... deeply frustrated that I don’t have that.

I don't try to fit a masc/fem scale but like, in person I don't really make a big deal out of it. There was a stretch of time where I went by she/her still, even as a nonbinary. But I switched to he/him about a year ago and it's just GOOD for me. Well.... Someone I really don't like joined the chat where I first decided to go by he/him. They joined, and they bitched to the mods about not liking me, but they called me "she/her" EVEN WITH he/him being in my intro. The mods were friends of mine and corrected them and were DEFINITELY on edge and asked me if I ever went by she/her or if they were purposefully misgendering me. 4. Who was the first person you told, how did they react? I'm pretty sure it was my boyfriend, Eric! They didn't give a shit HAHA, and have been all respectful and everything. 5. Describe what it was like coming out, what did you feel? So I don't actually remember when I told them? But it wasn't a big deal actually. 6. If you’re out, how did your parents/guardians/friends react? Oof so, I don't think I ever straight up told my mom. But I don't really care what she thinks anyways LOL I did have to tell Eric's parents, though! When we were poly and dating our qpp Reina. (Didn't want to explain those details and shit to them). But telling them that meant telling them I'm gay haha. They totally didn't care and have been so welcoming and accepting, i love them so much ;;w;; 7. What is one question you hate people asking about your sexuality? "Why do you need to be polyamorous do you not love your partners does that just mean you want to sleep around you're just using it as an excuse to cheat on your partners" All said from people who don't know shit about being poly. 8. ROSE/PEARL FROM STEVEN UNIVERSE I don't consume a lot of lgbt media apparently, huh. 10. What does makeup mean to you? Do you wear any? Sometimes! Usually no, though. I like eyeliner most of the time. 11. Do you experience dysphoria? If so, how does that affect you? YES. So with my chest it's more frequent, I also just don't like being as fat as I am. SO that's half my body problems. Bottom stuff is less frequent but usually during That Time Of The Month (Which, I actually haven't had for YEARS, but I started getting again recently, I hate it.) 12. I'm in three right now!! So the first is Eric, we met on an online rp chat website thingy! Second is Chander, we met through a mutual friend and we knew each other like a year then within the span of like two months we started dating and now we live together, 2.5 years later xD Third is Jay! I met him through a kin Discord, we've been friends over a year but it took a few months before we started dating! 18. What is your favourite lgbt+ book? Y'know I don't think I've ever read one. Uhhh... I mean the Black Dagger Brotherhood has a gay couple??? Does that count??? xD 19. Have you ever faced discrimination? What happened? Slightly! Most of mine is about being polyamorous. I have people tell me "That's not enough to be lgbt" paying 0 attention to me also being nonbinary and pansexual. Also had people tell me I'm not trans enough to be nonbinary because I don't want to transition. 20. Your Favorite lgbt+ movie or show? One Day At A Time? QUEER and gay itself. People act like "gay" was never used against the lgbt community like, bitch, if Hillary fuckin' Duff has to tell some stupid teens in a PSA to not use "gay" like that, then I'm reclaiming it, shut up. 23. Have you ever gone to a gay bar, or a drag show, how was it? Nope and nope. 24. How do you self-identify your gender, and what does that mean to you? I'm nonbinary! I use he/him pronouns and it pretty much just means I don't wanna be a boy or a girl. I don't mind being called like "You're a good guy" or whatever. 25. Are you interested in having children? Why or why not? Not really? I'm very selfish and self-centered, I don't think I could handle having a child xD 26. What identity advice would you give your younger self? "You don't have to figure this all out right now! You have time! Also, make friends with gay people. They're not some closed community where if you join and you're wrong they abandon you." 27. What do you think of gender roles in relationships? Eh, nah. Like I'm a big "Yeah sure I'll do laundry and dishes" or whatever. But I'd rather share responsibilities! 28. Anything else you want to share about your experience with gender? I've been questioning and trying to identify my gender a lot more and get more specific, but I'm in no rush. 29. What is something you wish people know about being lgbt+? We're just people, man. That's it. That's all there it to it. You don't have to have the same feelings as us, but just give us the right to love and marry who we want, or not do that, or have our relationships look however we want. 30. Why are proud to be lgbt+? I'm proud to be LGBT because it means I'm in a community of people who are accepting and caring. It's like a family wherever you go.
