Why Is Legal Proofreading Important?
Precision and accuracy are paramount in the realm of law. Legal professionals handle crucial documents that can have far-reaching consequences for individuals, businesses, and society. Legal proofreading plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and credibility of legal documents. This article delves into the significance of legal proofreading, its benefits, and the potential repercussions of overlooking this vital step.
1. Accuracy and clarity
Legal documents are complex, often containing intricate legal jargon and technical terms. One small error in these documents can change the entire meaning, leading to misunderstandings, disputes, or even legal battles. Legal proofreading helps to identify and rectify spelling mistakes, grammar errors, typographical blunders, and inconsistencies, ensuring the content is accurate and easily understandable to all parties involved.
2. Preserving legal integrity
Legal proofreading preserves the integrity of legal documents and ensures that they comply with the applicable laws, regulations, and standards. By meticulously reviewing legal contracts, agreements, court pleadings, and other documents, lawyers and legal professionals can avoid discrepancies and inaccuracies that could jeopardize the legitimacy and enforceability of the documents.
3. Avoiding costly mistakes
The legal arena is not immune to the consequences of errors. A misplaced comma or a misinterpreted clause can lead to costly litigations, contract disputes, and other legal troubles. Legal proofreading acts as a safeguard against these potential pitfalls, reducing the risk of errors and the need for time-consuming and expensive revisions later on.
4. Protecting reputation and trust
Law firms, corporations, and legal practitioners build their reputation on their ability to deliver accurate and reliable legal services. A poorly proofread document can undermine its credibility, causing clients to lose trust and seek representation elsewhere. On the other hand, a well-proofread document showcases professionalism and attention to detail, bolstering the trust between the legal professional and their clients.
5. Avoiding ambiguity
Ambiguity in legal documents can have far-reaching consequences. Unclear or vague language can lead to varying interpretations by different parties involved. By thoroughly proofreading the document, legal professionals can eliminate ambiguity and ensure that the document leaves no room for misinterpretation.
6. Consistency and uniformity
In complex legal cases or contracts, consistency and uniformity are essential to avoid potential contradictions within the document. Proofreading helps maintain a consistent tone, style, and format throughout the document, making it easier to navigate and comprehend.
7. Compliance with court rules
Court systems often have strict rules and guidelines for the formatting and presentation of legal documents. Legal proofreading ensures that the documents adhere to these rules, preventing any procedural delays or rejections.
8. Protection against legal malpractice
Legal malpractice claims can arise from errors or negligence in legal representation. By performing thorough proofreading, attorneys can minimize the risk of overlooking critical information or inaccuracies that could lead to malpractice claims.
9. Enhancing professionalism
Attention to detail is a hallmark of professionalism. Legal proofreading reflects a commitment to excellence and professionalism in the legal field. Lawyers who diligently proofread their work demonstrate a higher level of dedication to their clients and the pursuit of justice.
Legal proofreading is a meticulous process that safeguards the accuracy, credibility, and reliability of legal documents. Through legal proofreading, legal professionals uphold their reputation, build trust with clients, and avoid costly mistakes that can have severe consequences. As legal cases and documents continue to shape the course of society, investing time and effort into proper proofreading remains a crucial aspect of the legal profession.

I've been working on my own for a few months now, doing freelance peer review and other editing-wtv-book/text related jobs and honestly, correcting commas is the funniest thing ever
Specially bc it's such a intuitive process, i cannot put my finger on the actual punctuation rules but i do know how to use commas. It's a feel. It comes from the heart.

thinking about jason, and how he never truly feels that he's home even as he stumbles into your shared apartment after a long night of patrol.
not until he sees you, dozing off on the couch with a book laying flat open on your stomach, head hung over the armrest in a way makes your neck ache and pulse. not until he's taken off the leather gloves from his hands and has his fingers hovering a few centimeters shy of your skin. a beat passes before he lets himself finally touch you, let his fingers glide. slowly, until he's cupping your cheek between his palms. like he's figuring out if this is a dream—like he's trying to convince himself that it isn't.
not until your eyes flutter open, and he can only watch in disbelief when your pupils widen, shine in equal parts relief and joy as you take the sight of him in. your eyes scan his face, no doubt looking for new scars or bruises to fret over, and jason's breath all but catches in his throat over how much you care.
"jason."
not until he hears you and your voice, hoarse and muddled with sleep, but no less loving in the way you say his name. no less affectionate in how you speak to him.
"you're home."
not until you take his hand in yours and thread your fingers together. you bring your entwined hands close to your lips to press a featherlight kiss over his knuckles, with a kind of softness that astounds him. makes him wonder how much of this he truly deserves.
but you spare him no time to sit with his thoughts before you sit yourself up and wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him flush against your skin. and though jason has always been one to run hot, he feels a kind of heat no sun nor flame will be able to provide now that he's in your arms.
"i am."
and finally—finally, jason is home. finally, jason is with you.

Dear internet,
Proofreading and copy editing are two different things. Proofreading is the final polish to a written work, like Breakdown lovingly buffing wax into Knockout's already beautifully glistening finish; copy editing happens while the written work is still in production, and it's when the plot, story and characters, everything, gets ripped apart like Pharma taking his chainsaw to some poor sap because he needs their t-cog in order to pay off Tarn. (Actually editing is a LOT more complex than that but you get the idea.)
Thank you.
Sincerely,
A grumpy and sick human.

the itadori house always smells faintly of clean laundry.
it's not because the two boys who live there are particularly diligent about staying on top of their housework—the towering pile of recyclables in the corner of the kitchen is proof enough of that—but it's because the first time yuuji had tried to do his own laundry, he used way too much detergent. the ensuing tsunami of soap suds had flooded nearly half-way across the tiny apartment—coating the floors, the baseboards, and anything else in its path, in a slippery (though pleasantly fragranced) froth that took DAYS for the two brothers to clean up. it must have sunk in to the floorboards, or there must still be traces of it lingering in nooks and crannies that they couldn't reach, because even now, years after the catastrophe, the scent still lingers.
even though the mere mention of the incident still makes a vein of irritation throb in sukuna's forehead, and makes yuuji hang his head in shame, you don't mind the smell. it's familiar after all these years. it reminds you of this place.
you burrow your face down into the cushion of the living room sofa. it's raining today, and a bit humid, so the scent of detergent is particularly strong.
you're nearly asleep when a voice interrupts your quiet moment of relaxation.
"i should start charging you rent, y'know."
you don't open your eyes, even once you hear the words that come from above you. even without looking, you can picture the scene: sukuna leaning over the back of the sofa that you're sprawled across, his weight resting on his elbows as he peers down at you with his usual scowl. it's not the same scowl he shows to everyone else—the one that makes people shrink back under his gaze—this is a softer version of the same expression, dulled by familiarity. if you were more optimistic you might even say it was blunted by affection.
"stop pretending to sleep, kid." you feel his hand grasp your hip, shaking you lightly. "i know you're faking."
you feel a smile threatening to pull at your lips so you turn your face towards the pillow—the one you bought for the sofa, since the itadori brothers' idea of home decor is limited to creased posters for old mafia movies nobody's ever heard of and women with their tits out taped to the wall—and you burrow down to hide your expression from view.
"you're such a nuisance," sukuna groans, and then you feel the sofa dip. you figure he's pulled himself over the back of it now, based on how you feel him kneeling overtop of you with your legs straddled between his own. you're on your belly, but you can feel him rest back on his haunches, trapping your feet underneath him as he sits. "can't you nap at your own house?"
"too tired," you finally rasp out, daring to peek at him over your shoulder.
"and i'm not?" he scoffs, lifting his hand and pushing his hair back from his face. he's still half-dressed in his work uniform—a pair of slacks from the security company he's been working at part-time for the past few weeks, and a white t-shirt that he usually wears underneath the short sleeved button down that matches the trousers. "i just worked a double—been up since 4."
he does look tired, now that you have the chance to look at him. his hair is a bit dishevelled and he's got dark circles under his eyes. sukuna always looks a bit exhausted—and has since grandpa passed away and he took on the responsibility of raising yuuji. but it's particularly noticeable right now.
"and i can't even come home and take a nap on my own couch because there's a freeloader here."
you bite the inside of your cheek, wiggling around a bit underneath him so you can lay on your back.
"charge me rent then," you parry back to his complaint, and he cocks an eyebrow at your challenge. "i want a bed though. s'only fair."
"we'll get bunkbeds for yuuji's room, then," sukuna quips.
"don't wanna bunk with yuuji," you counter again, "he snores."
sukuna pauses, staring down at you. he leans forward slowly, his hands pressing into the couch cushion on either side of your waist as he dips towards you. "only one other bedroom in this place, y'know—"
you do know. it's why you said it.
"—and i have no plans to give up my bed."
sukuna is close to you now. too close, in any other circumstance, but this is one entirely of your own creation. a circumstance that feels more like an inevitability than anything, given the tension that's been crackling between the two of you lately, ever since he rescued you that night at the bar.
"didn't ask you to give it up," you say quietly, your eyes flickering across his features until they eventually settle on his lips.
sukuna makes a little noise in the back of his throat, close to annoyance, but not quite. distinctly tortured in nature.
"you really, really are a nuisance, y'know that?"
his hands are on your hips now. not like when he'd shaken you awake—this touch is greedier, needier than that passing graze. his fingertips slip up underneath the hem of your shirt until they brush against your bare skin, and the contact makes your body flush with heat.
"yuuji's gonna be back from class soon," you murmur softly, your gaze flickering back up to sukuna's heavy-lidded eyes. his nose twitches a little in annoyance, knowing you're right.
sukuna backs away a little, his hands slipping back out from underneath your shirt.
you sit up and catch his wrist in your hand, and his eyes widen in surprise. your faces are close together now—so close you can smell the cinnamon gum on his breath. he stole a pack from you a few days ago, and clearly he's still chewing it.
you can't smell the laundry detergent anymore.
"i didn't tell you to stop," you remark lightly, leaning back so you're splayed out against the sofa once more. you stare up at him, waiting for him to process what you've said—watching the thoughts play out across his uncharacteristically shocked face. "i just meant that you should hurry up and do it already."

Tsukishima head cannons because I love that man (bitch)
-he’s emotionally intelligent.
Hear me out. I know we’re all used to that trope that always gets put onto Tsukishima, but he’s not dull guys. Unlike Kageyama/j 😭
I genuinely believe if he really loves someone he notices the smallest details he just doesn’t voice them out loud. He speaks through actions. He’s the type of guy who gets mad when his s/o is talking and someone just interrupts you or people aren’t listening to what you have to say.
I swear it could be the smallest flicker in your emotions, you got a bad vibe from someone in the room? He felt it too. You get a text and your brow twitches and your shoulders sag slightly? He notices. You’re stressed and tired from work/school? He sees it all. This man will never be oblivious to anything about you. He knows you inside and out.
I do believe he still struggles to show emotion/verbally express and be transparent to you easily but he really is trying. -he loves playfully bickering/teasing until it’s anybody else
He starts throwing those nasty side eyes and ain’t having it. I do believe Tsukki likes to have fun with you. In his own asshole way. He knows boundaries, he doesn’t cross those. That consists of making fun of you on test scores, making up lies and laughing when you believe them, scaring you with his height, mocking you under his breath, wrestling you, ETC.
But anyone else? Uhhhh…no. How dare someone else try to one up him on his job??
-he’s a total nerd when he’s comfortable. He’s already such a cute annoying little nerd bruh. He geeks out on his interests and hobbies when he’s comfortable and can trust you enough he’ll share everything under the moon with you. In his tsukki way of course. I really don’t think tsuki is the quietest person in the room, tbh. He is an introvert (don’t get me wrong) but he just likes having ACTUAL good conversations. He think small talk is bullshit so he rarely speaks unless necessary. He is a theorist and does like deep talks maybe not the vulnerable ones but they still feel really intimate and special to him because it’s you. -he finds intelligence attractive
I do feel like if he were to have a type it wouldn’t ever really be focused on looks or characteristics. He believes that love doesn’t focus on stuff like that and he’d learn to fall in love with however his s/o looks. Okay, I worded that in my sappy indulgent way but Tsukk’s words are a little more like, “I literally don’t care.”
Now it doesn’t have to be your everyday intelligence, book smartness. Because I’m lowkey a bit of a dumb bitch so in that context tsukki would be repelled by me. 😭 It can be anything really. As long as you have passion and put hard work into something it pulls him in. I think this applies to like how over time in his volleyball career he started to care and invest more of skills and time into volleyball and his friends. He does care, he’s just learning, healing and growing as a person over time.
-his love language is gift giving
Now we all know tsukki isn’t the most verbally or physically affectionate person out there, not saying he doesn’t have his moments. But kinda playing into what I said earlier, about how observant and how he’s a good listener because of this too. I do think he picks up on what you like very early on the relationship. You don’t have to be a yapper and talk about everything you love to him, you could be as quiet as him. But he notices, the little things. your favorite snacks, tv shows/movies you gravitate to, scents you indulge in more and ones you tend to avoid, your favorite colors and colors you don’t seem to like as much or hate, your favorite characters, and everything that makes you up. He’ll act all nonchalant about it tho. He’ll hand you his small token of love/gift out to you like it’s nothing. Like he hasn’t been secretly lurking while you watched your favorite shows/movies. Or watching you playing your favorite “brain rotted” video games and obsessing over a new skin or character that just got released. Or the book/book series you’ve been really wanting, he goes on to yap about how easily influenced you are but he is not a sly mf.

Is Editing Your Thesis Too Expensive?
We see a culture of collaboration in academia. Even if you are a loner and prefer sitting quietly in a corner and working, having someone to work with has its benefits. You can solve problems more quickly, brainstorming sessions are fun and productive, and you are seldom rendered speechless.
A second pair of eyes helps you to get a fresh perspective on your thesis by refining your prose and helping structure it effectively. A good thesis editor will help you answer tricky questions regarding your thesis statement, and the content structure of your dissertation, and help you adhere to formatting guidelines.
Getting your dissertation edited professionally neutralizes bias. When you write your thesis, your brain automatically justifies your writing and tricks you into thinking that it is valid. When you look at it from someone else’s perspective, it is easier to find errors in grammar and punctuation. Professional thesis editing services also help you neutralize bias in terms of subject.
For example, let’s say you are doing a master’s degree in Psychology and are writing a paper on Freud’s methods vs Jean Piaget’s methods. Personally, you may tilt more towards Freud’s ideas, and that might cloud your rational, objective judgment in writing. Your editor will point out such bias and suggest points to develop much more rounded arguments.
Professional editing helps you become a stronger academic writer. When you give your thesis to your professor to edit, they will point out superficial errors and be done with it. An academic edit is a line-by-line review, with the “track changes” function on Microsoft Word. The corrections and edits that a thesis editor makes will be visible along with the original text so that you know how and where your text can be improved.
A good thesis should be like a smooth journey for the reader, with a definite destination in mind. Each paragraph should build on the previous one until the conclusion. A good editor ensures that your thesis builds up to a resounding crescendo and helps you build gradual momentum. The editor reviews each paragraph to ensure that it is necessary and adds value to your thesis.
A thesis editor ensures that your dissertation is free from any grammatical and punctuation errors. But these are just the superficial things that a thesis editor does. They help you perfect your thesis in terms of content and structure. They answer the following questions for you:
Is the thesis well-organized?
Is the thesis statement the right balance between specific and comprehensive?
Do the paragraphs follow the MEAL writing plan?
Is thesis editing expensive?
It is quite difficult to find a good thesis editor whose charges are affordable. While dissertation editing certainly isn’t cheap, it’s also completely worth the money.
A good thesis editor provides professional feedback and suggestions for you to strengthen your thesis and make it more impactful. Thesis editing is a long-term investment: It is an asset that will help you secure your future academically. You can save up through your course for this essential step.
Editing firms offer a variety of discounts to make the editing expense bearable for students. PaperTrue, for example, offers monthly discounts so you can get an impressive thesis at an affordable price!

I've seen the headcanon that Lucanis' mother, Caterina's perfect heir, was actually similar to Illario in some ways. That she was calculating, ruthless, ambitious, obedient... all the things Caterina overlooks in Illario because Caterina sees her favourite daughter's deep brown eyes and quiet, controlled demeanor and careful planning in Lucanis.
But I am also attached to the idea that the opposite is true too. That Illario's mother shared similarities with Lucanis; that she was empathetic and stubborn, with a slight rebellious streak. But she was always outgoing and charming, was more impulsive with her emotions, and was always sharper with her tongue than with a sword, so Caterina only sees her in Illario.
I just love the idea that Caterina can't look beyond the surface and see who her grandsons really are because on some level she can't see past the ghosts reflected in their eyes. She can't see that the quiet brown eyed boy is is more of the gentle hearted rebel, and the one with blue eyes and a shining, fake smile is the ruthless leader who would do anything she asked.
#Illario Dellamorte#Lucanis Dellamorte#veilguard spoilers#I wish we knew anything about their families#Illario's name means happy. You could (and I choose to) read that as meaning his parents' main wish for him was happiness.#What does that say about them as people?#What does it mean that a Dellamorte once looked at their newborn and their only thought was 'I hope he's happy'#I have been thinking about the Dellamortes all morning at work#Lucanis' mother the favourite child the quiet one who learned to turn off her emotions and would do anything to keep her status as favourit#Vs loud emotional Illario's mother the less favourite because she was rebellious and stubborn and tried to be her own person#(as much as she could)#(Also imagining Lucanis' mother sneaking into her younger sister's room at night after she's punished and tending to her#the way Lucanis and Illario will do years later)#I like the idea of Illario's mother being a bit of a rebel because I think a lot of people look at Illario and think disobedient rebel#despite the fact that I think objectively Illario is the more obedient one#he has disobedient rebel energy but in canon he's a follower who doesn't even consider breaking the rules unless it's Lucanis' idea#(until he has Lucanis killed but you could argue even that is him following Crow rules it's just him being who Caterina raised him to be)#I really want to know what's up with their families though. Lucanis is the horse Caterina is betting on. Lucanis' mother was the first of#her children to die. What makes her so sure Lucanis is the best option? Is it just that Lucanis is less like her and she knows she failed?#Is there something about Illario that makes her see him an ineligible? I want to interview her.#anyways I have to go back to work now hopefully this all makes sense I don't have time to proofread anything oops this is how much I ramble#when I don't have the time to go back and edit it down and take out all my irrelevant thoughts

you aren’t entirely sure what compels you to do it, but on a sunny saturday morning, you adopt a big, fluffy white cat with golden eyes.
the animal shelter don’t have any information about his previous owners, and can’t even confirm his birthday—though they insist he’s a senior pet. he’s strong and nimble despite his age (and propensity for napping). and his mouth is almost always curved into a smile.
on your drive home with him, you settle on a name: dumpling.
dumpling quickly endears himself to you, as you do to him. he sleeps in bed beside you, greets you when you return from work, and purrs any time you so much as stroke his chin or scratch his head. he’s easy to care for and easy to please, and his presence brings you comfort.
it’s a chilly autumn day when everything changes.
you spend the afternoon at a local park, picking up a few fallen leaves to press at home. when arrive at your apartment, dumpling happily rubs up against your legs. reaching down to pet him, your bag tips over, and the leaves spill out, scattering onto the floor. one leaf lands on dumpling’s head: an aurelian ginkgo leaf, the most pristine you have ever seen. seemingly startled, he bolts away—presumably to your bedroom to hide.
after about half an hour, you begin to worry. dumpling never leaves your side for very long; what could he be doing? you decide to check on him. the door to your bedroom is ajar, so you gently push it open. but what you find has a scream tearing past your lips.
a nude man is resting atop your bed. his long, snow white mane fans outwards on the sheets, and obscures the right side of his face. he stirs at your noisy disturbance, and—as his amber eyes flutter open and focus on you—you feel lightheaded.
a single thought crosses your mind as you slip into unconsciousness: the strange man in your bed uncannily resembles your beloved cat.

thinking about john ‘soap’ mactavish and art student reader because for some reason it’s just making a lot of sense right now… (cw: nudity)
Tumblr media
since he’d gotten shot in the head, price had pushed him onto medical leave. not much they can do for him, unfortunately- the rest of his taskforce is out, chasing makarov, and he’s left on the sidelines for six months, at the very least.
he’s filling up the emptiness where long, high adrenaline missions and rampant explosions quite well though, if he says so himself. does odd jobs to replace the feeling of a gun in his hand, though it never feels half as satisfying. not until the university job, at least.
he catches the flyer online, some local art school looking for nude models as reference for their students, and in a whim, agrees. why not? holding positions for hours on end was something he’d already been all too familiar with from his real job, and he’s relatively handsome, if he says so himself. sculpted arms and scars that run across his skin like the beams of sunlight that filter through his window during golden hour. plus, he’d been handed the insult that he was easy to draw a few times too many- may as well put that to use.
and that’s how johnny ends up naked, in the same pose for fourty-five minutes, neck cramping whilst a group of students hastily sketch him down. pretty much everyone in the room is stiff or sweating from focus, and some poor sod in the front seems to have ran out of charcoal and looks like he’s on the verge of either breaking down or passing out. he can’t help but peer at the students, and his eye catches on you.
fuck- you’re absolutely gorgeous- almost as bonnie as he is- even though you’re nibbling on the pencil as you try correcting the curve of his hip for the nth time, and if he focuses real hard, he can hear the soft melody you’re humming to yourself in attempt to calm down between the scratches of pencils and erasers. even though he knows that this whole thing is transactional- that he’s just there for you to model your skills off of so that you could hopefully get a decent mark- wants to think that in some way, your drawing is an act of love- pocketing his face in the back of your mind, his body at the forefront of your work, trying so hard to just get him right. it's almost cute.
most of them have filtered out of the classroom by the time he's put his clothes back on, three hours later- his shoulder's absolutely bealin- but you're still there, professor curled over your shoulder and mumbling feedback as she taps a pointer over the easel-- and oh, how he wishes he could do that to a pretty thing like you, perched over your form as he murmurs soft things into your ears, his hand over yours instead of on your work. and with his own wee... 'gap year', he can't see how that would be unachievable.
so imagine your surprise when your muse swings a friendly arm over your shoulder, grinning from ear to ear as he looks at your nude drawing. of him. and he seems impressed, eyeing how you've shaded and sculpted his body with your pencils- he could draw nearly as good as that, before he'd gotten shot at least. had taken him months to pick up a pencil, and he's yet to write a full paragraph with the way that bullet had pierced his brain. but he's content now, watching as your face burns in embarrassment- maybe you're a bit shy, eh? no problem.
"can see why you're her star student, aye? you seem prettier than that picture in yer hands." he purrs, smiling contentedly, and no- your blush definitely isn't from the flattery anymore. fuck, you might be attracted to this guy.

New Bulletproof Hearts AU lore just dropped
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here, have Kakashi and Genma’s character intros and thumbnail designs and notes for 6 out of the main 7!!! (I’ve already posted Anko ;) )
(If this is the first Bulletproof Hearts AU post you’re seeing, for context this is my Danger Days inspired AU featuring the tokujo squad and also Kakashi :) )
And now for the official intro:
In the fallout following the Resource Wars , and shortly after we lost Kiri to the waves, the Senju company in collaboration with the Red Fan company establish Neo-Konoha, the new capitol of the remnants of the Land of Fire. A shiny new city free from the troubles of post-war faction life, and the dizzying desert heat.
Here in the city everything runs on chakra energy. No more nuclear or fossil fuels, that’s for the old-world now. By tapping into the “dragon veins” flowing through the earth chakra can be cultivated and converted into the fuel that powers all of Neo-Konoha’s beloved bright lights, hover-cars, gadgets, and gizmos. It’s even opened up the doorway to cybernetics and body-modification. With chakra being an energy source that resonates with life it’s never been easier to merge man and tech. Now, many new companies wanting to make their mark on chakra-tech industries have sprouted up, and Chakra City (Neo-Konoha) is very kind to those wanting to contribute to the expansion of the city, and the growth of the economy.
The city is split into three main branches. The tall buildings and neon lights of the inner-city, the seedy bars and backroom deals of the under-city, and the plastic smiles and white picket fences of the residential district. Everything inside the city walls is labeled as Neo-Konoha, and everything outside in the wide open desert plains is labeled as the Outer-Ring, where many live in the little non-radiated pockets of barely habitable land. Made barely habitable thanks to the over mining of chakra, causing the land to be drained of its vitality. Life in the O.R is rough, it’s a lawless wasteland filled with criminals, thugs, and the kindest and realest people you’ll ever meet. It’s the home of all of those who don’t belong inside the city walls. Those who were cast out, or those who chose to leave, and those who had no choice but to be born.
After the tragic death of chairman Minato Namikaze the Golden Era of Neo-Konoha has been replaced my Sarutobi Hiruzen’s age of radio silence, aided by president of ROOT Danzo Shimra who’s company specializes in keeping the people “in line”. A powerful regime threatened only by a newly established pack of desert rats out in the Outer-Ring consisting of two of Minato’s former bodyguards, the previous head of the intelligence division, a woman who’s more machine than human, a sickly smuggler, and more recently a once-double agent turned pink hearted. These anarchists call themselves Wildfire.
Operating out of an abandoned gas station from back in the old era of gas powered vehicles Wildfire’s unofficial leader Genma Shiranui runs a 24h radio station - titled S.E.N.B.O.N radio - where you can tune in to all of the greatest punk-rock hits AND get all the information you need regarding the movement of Neo-Konoha’s exterminators, soldiers, and SCARECROWs out in the O.R. How to best avoid them, and how to best blast ‘em to one of the four respectable levels of dead without sending yourself sky high with ‘em. Unintentionally Shiranui becomes somewhat of a guardian angel for the people struggling against the chains of oppression out in the wastes. What was once a station created to provide some musical escape with just a sprinkling of survival tricks turned into the stage in which the revolution is set.
In that same gas station that’s home to such an iconic station are all of the other main members of Wildfire. We’ve got Anko Mitarashi, who has a mechanic shop where she can do just about anything given the proper materials. Anything from mods to prosthetics, vehicle repair and customization, making whole new gadgets, and making cyber-cycles from scratch. Meanwhile, when he’s not out on an assignment Raidō Namiashi’s running the “convenience store” that’s really just a front for the whole fence thing they’re running. Ibiki Morino is used as the group’s ‘intimidation and muscle’ but when he’s not scaring Konoha dogs shitless he’s slaving over his pride and joy, a car that’s more modifications than car. Hayate Gekkō manages their connections to the smuggling routes and also makes it his life mission to act like the station’s cat. Agent Yūgao Uzuki, former SCARECROW assigned to take down the rebels, turned double agent, turned Wildfire loyalist tries to take charge of planning as much as she can. After witnessing the state of the leadership in the revolt rocking konoha she’s flabbergasted they accomplished as much as they did.
On the side of Neo-Konoha Kakashi Hatake, Mad Dog, agent #07, and Hiruzen’s top SCARECROW, is assigned to take Wildfire down. The group consisting of his old comrades and friends, before they turned traitor. With his soldier prowess and the use of the advanced AI program ‘B2’, created by Obito uchiha, Kakashi is the only individual able to stand against Wildfire, the question is, does his loyalty to Neo-Konoha and his trust in “Obito” outweigh the ache he feels. The niggling feeling that there’s something very wrong, something he’s missing.
This is not a tale about heroes. This is not a tale about glory. This is a tale about people. People living, and people dying, and people clawing their way through life, and people snapping at the hand that tightens the leash. There is no victor, there is no clean cut, just what is left when the fire burns through. The embers that sparked the Wildfire are doomed to fizzle out and die in the infancy of the flame. But as long as you stick around to witness the trees burn, they cannot claim it hadn’t happened at all. When a tree falls in a forest, tune in to the sound. Because remember, they can’t control you if you don’t give in to the silence.
Orrrrr
The tokujo gang fight against the oppressive fascist regime of Neo-Konoha while spreading chaos through the wastes and making Kakashi’s life way harder :)
So yeah, I hope that makes sense T~T it’s so late at night when I’m writing this I fear I may be too cryptic…. BUT PLEASE TELL ME YOU GET THE VISION!!
If anyone is interested in more lore feel free to ask anything <<33 I’m going to try and post some mini comics and blurbs for this AU often-ish (for art practice and also I want to push my brainworms onto y’all) so stay tuned?
Alright I think that’s enough yapping (for now ;) ) if anyone read all of that I shall give you one (1) soft little forehead kith :) 😙💋
Okay byeeee~~~

CW: Yandere Themes, Mentions of Blood
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
Yandere!Childe who stares at you with the most loving, affectionate eyes imaginable. When he is home, he trails behind you from room to room, desperate for your attention and love, for sweet little kisses and quips. Yandere!Childe who loves combat and fighting and the thrill of a hunt, except when it comes to you. Oh, how he hates it when you try to run; he wishes he could kiss all your fears away. The idea of you in pain is unfathomable. Childe knows his hands are stained with blood, but whenever he returns home to you, for just a short period of time, he can be clean.
Yandere!Childe who wishes he didn't have to whisk you away to a safe and secluded cabin in Snezhnaya, but knows that if any of the Harbingers find you, it only gives them more leverage against him. He can't let that happen. Can't let them take you away from him. Every time he intertwines your hands with his, he swears you have magic in your bones, a piece of divinity tucked away in your soul. You heal the invisible wounds that mar his mind. Yandere!Childe who watches fondly as you drift off into sweet dreams one night, brushing away a strand of hair from your face. So fragile. So beautiful. So powerful. You're so dangerous that you have disarmed one of the Fatui Harbingers, tamed him beneath your unwilling touch. Yandere!Childe who wields his delusions like weapons. You don't hate him, you're simply adjusting. Soon enough the two of you will be dancing to invisible music on hardwood floors and cuddling on couches, protected by wood walls from the harsh chill of winter. And even if it takes time, he'll be sure to pierce your heart eventually with his love, and claim victory in this battle.

🧡 Grocery shopping with Caleb fluff
Details: 150ish words of fluffy, boyish Caleb to feed my own domestic worms
Tumblr media
Caleb does this thing when you’re grocery shopping—if you look at something for too long, he puts it in the cart. No questions, no comments. Just slides it in like it was always on the list. If you ask, he’ll shrug and say,
“Thought you might change your mind.”
He’s sometimes sneaky about it. He waits until he thinks you’re not paying attention—maybe when you’re checking a label, maybe when you’re just walking ahead—and then it’s there.
Quietly tucked in among the produce, or half-hidden under something boring like paper towels. That thing you barely glanced at. That snack you used to love. That new, overpriced tea you weren’t sure about but kind of wanted anyway.
If you catch sneaky Caleb and call him out, he’ll just smirk—like he’s been caught red-handed stealing stars. Sometimes it’s followed by a wink—just to let you know he knows he’s being a menace—and then a lopsided smile that dares you to stop him,
“Weird. Must’ve jumped in on its own.”
