i liked the idea of semi-primed dominants from ff16 sooooo semi-primed azem transformation
this is the pose from one of the promo artworks btw i'm not that cool. more rambling under the readmore
sooo ok time for ~cringe lore~ but it’s my oc so i can do what i want.
azem’s transformation largely looks like an unholy combination of: (i don’t have the skill to design this right now so you’ll just need to imagine)
zero’s avatar form - look its so cool ok let me have this lol
arion - the mount, yes. who’s a good arcane construct, yes you are!
sandalphon gbf but bad and naughty saiyakuphon
traits that azem gets in semi-primed form:
wings: 4 of them in 2 sets on back and hips, colour scheme is like arion’s wings with the blue/pink gradient and white. complete transformation has 6 wings (3 sets)
facial features: horn (forehead), 2 pairs of wingie ear things like the flap flaps on meteion’s head (these wings are also coloured like arion wings), fangies (if you ask them to open wide aaaahhhh ok close now)
hair: white at the ends (full transformation has completely white “hair”)
forearms: silver-grey and gold detail (like arion, are you sensing a theme here), sharp gold-tipped talons for ripping, tearing and everything in between
chest: you can’t see it under the shirt but there is a ~core~ on what would be the sternum that glows (it’s also present in fully transformed state)
cowl: ok this is just the hood on the sophist robes but the robes get in the way so it’s like a ~cool cowl~ with asymmetric cape now
ribbon: this actually appears because it’s there in azem’s full transformation. it’s... not purely decorative but let’s just let that be for now
halo: it’s cool ok. also there in full transformation.
Azem would pop into semi-primed form to tap into otherworldly strength, and then pop back out like nothing happened. what do you mean semi-priming to reach the cookie jar is vainglorious in the extreme??? short people want snacks too >: |
if it’s just a brief moment (full semi-prime sounds like a contradiction), only the lower set of hip wings would appear.

finished act 3 of kentucky route zero!
the music continues to be indescribably beautiful and the vibes are utterly eerie but in a strangely comforting way.
i find myself both unnerved but at home within the dialogue and the audio is perfect.
idk what it is about this game, but i'm totally drawn in. just spent 20 minutes on an in-game phone call learning about the strange ecosystem of a river (and also how to talk to a snake).

first he replaced James as the most important person in Sirius's life and now he's taking James whole personality MAKE IT STOPPPPP
quick who’s writing the (body?) horror fic where remus is SO obsessed with sirius, he needs to have him, and knows the one and only obstacle in his life is james potter. so he plots.
he plots, gets into their group, gets close to all of them. but that’s not all. he slowly…very slowly starts replicating all of james’ personality traits, wears them like a winter cloak but all year round. and then, like the slowly boiling a frog situation, he eventually becomes james. the final step: taking over his body. getting rid of the man himself.
until all that’s left is sirius black and james-who-was-once-remus potter. but what’s an identity if u can have the man of ur dreams, the love of ur life?

(It's me again) also 1, 3, and 4 for the spicy controversial whatever asks
at this rate i'll have answered all 25 asks holy sgat
1. the character everyone gets wrong
god. gaara. i've waxed poetic about this already but every time someone writes or draws him blushing and stuttering like a teenage girl or makes him some yandere monster pervert i lose a year of my life pleas. i need those
you know who absolutely nails gaara though? @sagemoderocklee. everyone go read 13 strokes and plus one and all their other works right Now
3. screenshot or description of the worst take you’ve seen on tumblr
looooool actually the most violenced of the answers. i'm actually going to be vague here because i try not to be in the business of naming names in public -- but there was a post circulating a while ago about mischaracterisation where one of the rebloggers was in the tags saying they think they do a good job, and they very clearly did not realise the og post was inspired by them
4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?
i haven't blocked any annoyance tbh i simply larf quietly from my Secret Hater Zone (discord dms) and otherwise leave it be, because my rule of thumb in fandom is just because i don't like someone's takes/ships/attitudes doesn't mean i'm going to bully them or make call out posts or send death threats :)

I do wanna talk about the ‘other games’ ending where it basically reveals that the older versions of the game are still there, still accessible but just hidden under everything else. Stanley falling into the original mod’s map but it’s dark and forgotten. as if walking around the old confines of a tomb left to rot, an old game collecting dust. except everything is the same as it was, still and empty and frozen in time. think it is so interesting that it’s still there, just sitting there in the rubble of leftover debris and old game files.

Over the years, film critics have often expressed confusion as to the point of Dan Aykroyd's single scene in Goncharov, portraying a loud, obnoxious American tourist who has a one and a half minute monologue (according to Scorsese and others, improvised by Aykroyd on the day of filming) that is abruptly cut short by Goncharov being spotted by hit man Jacob Papageorge and the ensuing chaos. Speculation has run rampant as to why this broadly comedic moment, so out of place in a film whose comedy is otherwise confined to the bleakest of gallows humor, was even in the film at all. Was it a favor to Belushi to allow his best friend to appear? Was Scorsese attempting to jump start the career of a hitherto little known Canadian comedian in whom he saw great potential?
It turns out that the answer is simple: this was a setup for a scene at the end of the film in which Aykroyd's character is revealed to be Elwood Delaney, an undercover INTERPOL detective working with the Sicilian police, who was portraying the brash, "ugly American" tourist to make himself appear harmless. Delaney arrests Papageorge while the latter is hiding in a phone booth.
This scene proved highly unpopular with test audiences, who had found the character of Papageorge to be one of the most sympathetic in the film, and so it was cut and unfortunately the negative has long since been lost, although a single still of a rehearsal for the scene (seen above) was recently discovered. Aykroyd's character was reduced to the single scene, and Papageorge's ending in the film is left ambiguous as he is last seen fleeing the warehouse where Goncharov died.
However, the lost scene had great impact on Aykroyd's future career. As Papageorge is dragged out of the phone booth by Delaney, he claims to have be a businessman about to make a very important phone call. Delaney smiles and asks, "who you gonna call?", a line which later appeared in both The Blues Brothers (1980) and, most famously, as the catchphrase to the Ghostbusters franchise (1984-present).

Fuck my life I'm sitting here and try not to cry bc Zoro's duel with Mihawk hit me so hard. And I don't even know why. It's not as if I've seen it for the first time but damn. Holy damn. Mackenyu gave such a great and convincing performance. Zoro had his time to shine, albeit a tragic one. And he made it clear that no one is allowed to get in his way to fulfil his dream, his promise, even if it means to be an asshole towards his friends. This episode hits so hard ashdjakdlal. Everyone put so much love and dedication into making this show and the actors are utterly fantastic. The accuracy of this scene. I'm so glad they kept it, it's such a crucial and important scene of Zoro, adds so much to his character, his motivation, that he's not afraid to sacrifice his life to achieve his goal, that he's stubborn, courageous, but also Kuina's death still hurts him, it always will, and he'll always be tied to that promise, one that both drives him further and weighs him down, and while Luffy's dream is connected to an epic future, the stuff of myths and legends, Zoro's is connected to death, because not only will he never be able to meet that person again he made that promise with, unlike luffy who at least has the possibility to meet Shanks, but if Zoro will lose that one last duel, should a rematch against Mihawk be in the picture, Zoro WILL die. Zoro will demand that last, fatal cut, and Mihawk will deliver it to him. Mihawk will acknowledge him as a true, proper swordsman by then, one who's worthy of dying by the way of the sword.
And his crew, his friends, have seen how serious he is about his goal and how serious Zoro takes bushido. That he not only uses swords as his weapons of choice, but that he lives by that code. And that Zoro's dream is difficult and life-threatening to achieve. They've been introduced to the possibility of Zoro dying in front of their eyes, because yes, he's good, but he's not the greatest just yet. And what they've also been introduced to is Zoro's sheer lust and thrill for battle, that battle is what Zoro lives for, that he's not afraid of dying, that it changes him into a completely different person once he's found a worthy opponent he can improve his skills with, that snarky, reserved, quiet Zoro will smile and lick his lips once he's enjoying a fight, it's a personality that doesn't make it easy to befriend him, although he's really an okay guy, but being friends with that bloodthirsty maniac simply isn't easy. His friends have to endure quite much with him and he rewards them with his loyalty and protection, but Zoro's always been a lone wolf for a reason, not only for above mentioned reasons, but also because he doesn't want to have friends, he can't take to lose another one, like he lost Kuina. And he's happy to go wherever his found family is, but there is ALWAYS the possibility that he'll leave them, should he get an opportunity to achieve his dream.
This episode just awakened so many thoughts and feels about Zoro within me, although I've been in love with One Piece and Zoro for so many years now (20, to be precisely) and this episode still managed to hit me right in the feels - that's how good this live action adaptation is. And holy shit Zoro's and Nami's relationship? I simply love it. Two outsiders talking and they get an understanding from each other no one else in the crew is able to understand.
Sorry for rambling but like I said. It stirred up so much stuff.
