Young Sheldon thoughts and spoilers below the cut :)
Wow the funeral stuff was brutal but so well written, like I was crying at all the parts where Sheldon kept imagining redoing his last moment with his dad but also there were quite a few lines that made me laugh too
Also loved the baptism scene, really funny and unexpected
It was so, so good seeing Sheldon and Amy together again I felt like I could have vibrated right out of my chair from how excited I was seeing them in some brand new scenes
I just wish the bulk of the new Shamy stuff wasn't them arguing, I was really hoping maybe we'd get a new kiss but no such luck :(
Still it was fun and I love how even though they were arguing they still clearly adore each other (Sheldon's mention about how the passion is still there after all these years and Amy slipping in that comment about his cute behind)
Leonard Cooper plays hockey and it sounds like he's pretty serious about it, which is interesting
Sheldon and Amy have an unnamed daughter (I personally am naming her Laura Elizabeth Cooper) who wants to take acting lessons, the influence of Penny's babysitting
We didn't actually get to see Sheldon and Amy both wearing the matching hockey jerseys but Sheldon did agree to it as they were leaving so I'm having a great time imagining it
Sheldon's spot in his office along with the Rubik's cube tissue box cover 😭😭😭
I'm going to rewatch these Shamy scenes so many times over the next few days and I'm genuinely looking forward to it, hopefully some new fic inspiration 😁
I guess that's all I have for right now. Really happy overall with how it ended.

the dance we dance
Elizabeth Swann falls from a cliff into the sea. It is only proper that her fiancée sees to her health, until it isn't. ✦ potc, 1.5k words, one-shot au
Knuckles rap softly against the open library door. Elizabeth looks up from a well-thumbed novel to see Commodore Norrington, framed gold by the candles lit in the hall.
“Elizabeth,” he says lightly, “I did not mean to interrupt you.”
He stands halfway into the room, inclining his head politely. There is no chaperone present — Elizabeth imagines Cooper, the steward, is tending her father somewhere else, making both suitable candidates in the manor absent — and it is not exactly correct for a strapping young man to be alone with his fiancée so late at night.
Elizabeth closes her book and leaves it in her lap. She shifts so she is sitting straight in her plush chair and greets, “Good evening, James. Or do you prefer Commodore now? Which is proper, do you think?”
The invitation is implicit. He steps into the room and though he does not quite smile, he approximates it. (He was never much of a smiler; tonight, he is even more drawn, his brow more knit.) “I am at your mercy; you are better versed in such manners. I came to make sure you are recovered.”

I just wanna say I love your work and the world you’ve created, I always get so excited whenever I see your work pop up on my dash, your “creating the bride” story was so well written!. <3
But for the question part, I am a bit curious as to how you would incorporate her in your story if you chose. I think she’s such a cool character and has the potential for a lot of interesting stories and dynamics. Also, if you’re interested, could you maybe draw your interpretation of a hypothetical bride? No pressure of course!
Tumblr media
here's what I imagine she might look like if she had been completed. Similar to Adam she has the cooper plates and wires down her spine and lichtenberg figure scars from the lightning strike. There's no way I can imagine incorporating her that doesn't end in tragedy. Being created just to be someone's mate and being handed over to Adam from birth with the intent that she'd never have anyone else isn't a thing I can see any thinking, feeling, intelligent person being able to live with for long. Eventually she'd want to see more of the world, she'd have questions about her creation, about Victor. She might be angry that she's being held to a promise she didn't make and I feel like she'd either run away from Adam or demand that he let her go.
Adam would try to be kind to her but he'd still insist that he was her companion and that they had no one but each other and he'd impress upon her that it was either him or isolation as her only two options because those are his only options. In time she'd start to view him as more of a jailer than a mate.
I feel like Victor would be more sympathetic to her than to Adam, she hasn't killed anyone and her appearance wouldn't be a shock to him. He'd think of her, being made just to be someone's bride and think about Elizabeth, who was adopted into his family at around 5 years old and basically raised to be his wife. Add to that his biases towards Adam and it's a recipe for Victor possibly trying to do better by the bride than by his first creature. Something that would absolutely kill Adam to see.
Honestly... Adam and Victor are completely fucked up beyond all reason and the bride deserves better than to have to deal with either of them

I want to talk about anne neville and Elizabeth of York. I always thought they knew each other very well. They all have vague personalities in the eyes of passers-by, turbulent fates, tragic experiences caused by their father's death, good relations with husbands who have blood feuds indirectly through marriage, and unstable dynasty rule caused by death ... Because of their vague personalities, both women are easily used by historical authors to express their views, and they also have some connections (such as clothes that are often discussed, Elizabeth once had marriage rumors with Edward and Richard in Lancashire ... Their biographies were also criticized by readers as biased (I think this is because these two women are not extroverted, so the author can only imagine themselves ...)I am very frustrated that historical novels mostly use them to shape the men around them, and rarely pay attention to the inner thoughts of "silent" women. I can see some vivid characteristics of these two women in historical literature. One of my favorite facts about Elizabeth of York is that she arranged for her sister to marry her uncle's former supporters, and had a good relationship with the relatives of the Delapol family, which reminded me of her father's attempt to reconcile with Henry Beaufort. Unfortunately, the novels I read do not describe this at all. The marriage between Anne Neville and Richard III is originally described in the novel as Richard saving her, but from her escape from George's supervision, there is reason to believe that they are in a cooperative relationship, as well as Lancaster. Edward, in the novel, is always just an "evil ex husband..." But I think their brief marriage is not so shallow…
I think your frustration with the way Anne Neville and Elizabeth of York are written about is very justified. I'm not very knowledgable about their lives (honestly, I'm a little confused why you sent this to me) but even from a distance, I think they must have been a lot more complex that historians, commentators and novelists typically suppose they were. I think they largely serve as Ricardian mouthpieces now - Anne as Richard III's one true love, tragically lost and Elizabeth as his chief mourner and as another victim of Tudor rule - but it's also very easy to turn them to mouthpieces for Lancaster and Tudor, which was the image that dominated in Tudor times - Shakespeare's depiction of Anne as the chief mourner for Henry VI, the story Richard murdered Anne in order to forcibly marry Elizabeth, the depiction of Elizabeth as purely the idealised, virtuous and dutiful prop for her husband's rule). I think that, because there's a lack of information that lets us build up a more detailed idea of either women, they tend to be written in a way that expresses how the author really feels about the events and personalities of the Wars of the Roses. I can understand this impulse but I wish this impulse was focused more on them as individuals and less on being mouthpieces for the author's feelings about Richard III or Henry VII.

Thoughts on 10.21 and 10.22, no spoilers.
So I'm going to make comments as I go during some of the commercials, but I'm not going to post them until afterwards, so this is as much a live reaction as a review. Each paragraph is recorded at a different commercial.
The first half hour we've seen before. It's fun, but very familiar. It feels like a bit of a waste in the final episode. The only benefit is learning how the task force is conflicted about things. We only got a tiny glimpse of Reddington's heart, which I've come to realize is what I truly love about the show and what I truly want from it.
I am disappointed in Dembe. I always had a particular idea of why Dembe joined the fbi, and that was to change tactics in his quest to save Reddington's soul. And in season 8 he heard Reddington tell Cooper how much this task force had changed him. Then Elizabeth died. I always felt that Denbe joined the task force to try and connect Red to the force that was the most positive on him.
Weecha continues to be a nothing burger. I get nothing from her about how she and Red connect romantically. There's just nothing there.
At the end of the first hour I actually said out loud "oh, don't you dare." In everything that I imagined about this finale that possibility is not one that crossed my mind. Just, no.
Almost halfway through the second episode. So I was right, high action, intense episode with a twist I didn't see coming, as we often see in the season finale. And it's a very solid episode for the task force. We're getting a lot of character from them. And Herbie, good for you. That was the right call. Love that dude.
But what I'm missing is Red's heart. The core of the show, and I want something new from him. I want to see his heart laid bare.  His actions do speak to his heart when it comes to Dembe, but there needs to be more.
Oh boy. I guess that's it. The closest we're ever going to get to confirmation of Redarina. Not at all what I wanted. Up until I knew it was Redarina I really thought Red's identity didn't matter, but the transgender situation in the world right now really needs this.
And I'm genuinely worried now.  There is less than half an hour left.
Last commercial, less than 10 minutes left. I'm very scared. This has been undeniably beautiful for the last 15 minutes. Please, please, give me one of the things that I want.
Very proud of that final monologue, that was fantastic.
The final scene; No. That. Was. Stupid. Beautifully done, but I hate it. I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I will not write rape, 18+ content for underage characters, or anything where the character is another species. I will not take requests containing pedophilia, ablism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or any other form of bigotry. Comfort imagines for things such as depression, eating disorders, and anxiety are fine as long as you do not want them to be very descriptive and/or explicit. Please make formal requests through my ask as I will not take comments as formal requests. I write for multiple genders but only smut for afab people as that is the anatomy I am most understanding of. I do take "x reader" requests. I can try to write crossovers, though I'm not too experienced with them and I do write for celebrities as well.
Requests are open now so if you do decide to make one, please include the character(s) you want and at least a small description of what you would like the plot to be. Thank you! <3

The Sixteen Personalities of the Neurotics: A Myers-Briggs Analysis of My Favourite Miraculous Characters
I tend towards characters that are independent, self-capable, and highly skilled.
ADRIEN AGRESTE - THE PROTAGONIST | ENFJ-A
Tumblr media
Adrien feels that he is called to serve a greater purpose in life. An inspiring optimist, he aims to readily take action and do what he feels is right. Imaginative, open-minded, and curious, Adrien values originality and delights in finding secret meanings and hidden possibilities. Rarely shying away from an opportunity to do the right thing, Adrien is a feeling individual, expressing significance on empathy, social harmony, and cooperation. Despite his sentimentalities, however, Adrien is a highly-organised and thorough person, prone to bouts of spontaneity, but a strong adherer to structure. Resistant to stress, Adrien tries not to worry too much about the little things and focus on achieving his goals. Adrien usually have a positive impact on the world and the people surrounding him. A notable weakness, however, is Adrien’s tendency to be overtly idealistic. Possessing a strong sense of justice and truth, it comes as a fundamental shock to Adrien should anyone 'violates’ these values. Adrien also has an unfortunate habit of being intense, whether in relationships or in improvement, Adrien may push others to take steps they’re not ready for, or weren’t even interesting in making in the first place.
Famous Protagonists include: Sean Connery, Maya Angelou. Daenerys Targaryen, Elizabeth Bennet, and Malala Yousafzai.
LILA ROSSI - THE COMMANDER | ENTJ-A
Tumblr media
Lila is a commander. A natural-born leader; in situations where order is required, Lila will always present herself as one, unless it benefits her to remain silent. Bold, imaginative, and strong-willed; Lila finds a solution, or she makes one. Characterised by her ruthless efficiency and logic, Lila prioritises her mind over her heart. While she can interpret emotion – hard to be a successful manipulator if she couldn’t – Lila does not necessarily understand it, and find overt displays of distress or zeal disconcerting and uncomfortable.
Lila experiences little doubt and chooses not to reminisce over past mistakes and regrets, which often causes her to be self-confident when striving to achieve goals.
Famous Commanders include: Gordon Ramsay, Margaret Thatcher, Steve Jobs, Miranda Priestly, and Milady de Winter.
FÉLIX GRAHAM DE VANILY - THE LOGISTICIAN | ISTJ-A
Tumblr media
Félix is practical and fact-minded to a t. Reliable and conscientious, it’ll be difficult for Félix to fail a task or be taken off-guard. As a self-confident individual, Félix prides himself on his integrity and commitment. Whilst not necessarily misanthropic, Félix strongly prefers spending time on his own, or with a few intimate friends and family, rather than with a crowd of strangers. Naturally drawn to calmer environments, Félix prefers quality over quantity in social interactions. With strong observation skills, Félix is hyper-aware of events around him at all time, even the smallest mishap is unlikely to escape his judgement and notice. Félix finds no comfort in chaos, no enjoyment in lawlessness. To him, effectiveness is more darling than social harmony, he values structure and clarity over any spontaneity.
Famous Logisticians include: Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, George Washington, Hermione Granger, and Mr Darcy.

If I Can Make Your Heart My Home - Recipe and Song list - Chp 1, 2 and 3
My lovely partner for the Klaine Prompt Reverse Bang 2003, @datshitrandom had asked me recently about recipes I've included in If I Can Make Your Heart My Home.
Which also got me thinking about the music I've been listening to and including in the story. . . with a chef and a musician in the mix there's going to be a lot of both.
So under the gorgeous artwork by @datshitrandom, I'll list what I mentioned in the story/ inspired me so far!
There are spoilers below- so if you want to read the story from the beginning first, click here!
Tumblr media
**As a note before I do anything, I've started a YouTube playlist for the music in this fic. To access it, click here.
I'll add songs to it as the story goes on and are mentioned. But I'll list individual songs/recipies in the chapters below as well.
***
Well, we should start off with the song that inspired the original prompt for the story.
youtube
Chapter 1
Music: Elizabeth Hummel sings Twinkle Twinkle Litle Bat to the traditional tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
youtube
Recipies:
Grandma Hummel's butter pound cake - mentioned it's on the tea table. This is from one of my favorite cookbooks - I haven't tried making it yet, but it's on my list!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chocolate Chip cookies - That Kurt gives to his dad, proudly bc he helped bake them. This is one of my go-to recipes. I tend to throw a handful or more of Walnuts and sometimes swap the semi sweet chocolate chips for dark chocolate chips or chunks.
Pink Lemonade - that Elizabeth was going to pour for Kurt, but he insisted instead on drinking tea like the grownups.
Petit Fours - on the tea table. I've failed miserably at making fully iced petit fours. This is the next recipe I plan to try - it seems easier. And it so looks like something Elizabeth would have made.
Cucumber Sandwiches - Kurt is eating them during the tea party. I've made both of the following recipes for tea before.

Bonus recipes!
Not mentioned specifically in the story, but I believe would have been included during Elizabeth's table of treats.
Other Finger sandwiches - I tend to make a number of different sandwiches when I have folks over for afternoon tea. No one ever goes home hungry! Here are a couple of our favorites that I think Elizabeth would have had at her tea table.

Chapter 2
Music:
Not mentioned in the story itself, but we learn Cooper is not only a violin virtuoso but also Concertmaster for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. I can imagine this as one of the pieces he plays.
I also can picture Cooper and Blaine as young kids and being asked by their father to perform this together - with Blaine on the piano.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - James Gunn and company stick the landing with a brilliant conclusion to Marvel's only coherent stand-alone trilogy of films. It genuinely feels strange that these are Marvel movies, since from the start they've largely felt like their own thing. Sure, to get caught up on this one you'll have to watch two Avengers movies, a Thor movie and a holiday special, and maybe even the silly animated "What If?" But otherwise, this series is mostly untouched by what's happened to The Avengers, and feels like it could have been a standalone series, like the FOX X-Men films, and the Sony Spider-Man films.
The cameo roles in this series are clearly done as a favor to James Gunn rather than to Marvel. Linda Cardellini has a voice role here, despite already having a role in Marvel films elsewhere, as do Judy Greer and Tara Strong (replacing the absent Miley Cyrus). And it's not hard to imagine some earlier Marvel film having some other role for the sort of actors Gunn casts in small roles, like Nathan Fillion, Ving Rhames, Michelle Yeoh, Peter Serafinowicz, Maria Bakalova, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Alexis Denisof, Kevin Bacon, Seth Green, Sylvester Stallone, Don Johnson, and so on. He has a tendency to cast older star actors like Kurt Russell who could have populated a hypothetical 90s MCU, or even David Hasselhoff who actually did.
The Guardians films, outside of their Avengers crossovers, feel like a universe unto themselves. The tone is darker, and more violent, with a focus on comedy. At exactly one point in the film, Chris Pratt's Peter Quill, AKA Starlord, says fuck. At other points in the film, actors say "screw" when they clearly mean "fuck." Lloyd Kaufman turns up in these things. Most of the film is about torturing a raccoon, and it's full of strange creatures and body horror that sometimes seems antithetical to selling Happy Meal toys. The villain, Chukwudi Iwuji, as The High Evolutionary, is nastier than MCU villains tend to be, and there's no attempt to humanize him. Which is, to be clear, great. We like a real villain.
The visual style of the film is also distinctive. No muddy greys and browns here. There's bright colors and high contrast, and lots of interesting design. It is certainly in the running for the best-looking Marvel movie, and avoids the samey visual look of some other Marvel productions.
The cast, as ever, is stacked with actors who could have carried a film like this on their own. It's easy to take this cast for granted, but these are all stars, and the movie knows it. Zoe Saldana, who has almost casually starred in a large percentage of the most succesful movies ever made. Bradley Cooper, as the voice of Rocket, a CGI character who might be the real star here. Pom Klementieff and Dave Bautista, delightful as Mantis and Drax. Karen Gillan as Nebula, bringing a steely terminator's edge to a role far away from what she did in Doctor Who. Vin Diesel as Groot, even. Elizabeth Debicki returning as Ayesha.
Oh, and Chris Pratt as Peter Quill AKA Starlord. When we meet him here, he's been drinking away his sorrows over the loss of Gamora. Pratt is a controversial figure these days, due to his apparent right-wing beliefs, and at first there seems to be something wrong with Peter int his film. His trademark charm is entirely absent, at first, and he's not as funny a character in this as he's been previously. But that charm comes back, as Pratt tries to remind Gamora and the audience why we liked Peter Quill in the first place. He's not as big an asshole as he's been at times, and is almost likeable as he finds a certain peace in himself by the film's end.
Will Poulter turns up as Adam Warlock, a cosmic Marvel hero introduced as a secondary villain here, and manages to do something amusing with the character. As with the Nova Corps in the first film, this is a pretty significant Marvel character that James Gunn is using, apparently for his own purposes rather than due to any connection to the MCU. As with the Howard the Duck cameos, it feels like Gunn is doing his own thing. At one point Starlord appeared in the MCU Avengers animated shows without the personality that Chris Pratt gave him, and it felt very strange. Starlord is a very different character here than he was as a Space Cop in the comics, as are Yondu, Mantis, Groot, and so on.
Indeed these movies have very little to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy comics as they initially launched. The films are instead based, loosely, on the Guardians team that launched in the comics in 2008. That team included Adam Warlock and Phylla-Vell, a version of Captain Marvel who technically appears here as a child. But James Gunn has successfully put his own spin on these characters. Rocket Raccoon would probably have been the most recognizable character for old-timers, along with Adam Warlock, but he was never really a headliner until now. Nor was Groot, who was once an old Jack Kirby monster in the comics, and might as well be a different character now entirely.
Mantis, powerful as a C-tier Avenger in the comics, is a less powerful but more memorable character in these. She and Dave Bautista's Drax are socially awkward in different ways, and always doing something funny or interesting. This film also finds the dignity in these characters and sees a certain tragedy in the way they underestimate one another, suggesting that even though they're a memorable onscreen team, they need to move apart in order to grow as people. These films really care about these characters in a way which isn't cliched, telegraphed or predictable.
There's a sense of history here, that the journey these characters have gone on has meant something, over the course of three films, at least four other Marvel appearances and a holiday special. A photo of Stan Lee turns up, as does the actual Michael Rooker. It does have one thing in common with the Avengers films - an assurance that this is still the Guardians of the Galaxy even with a different lineup of characters, and that some of these characters will return.
It won't be the same, though, will it? It's hard to imagine another blockbuster film letting actors like Pom Klementieff be as memorably eccentric as they are here. This trilogy genuinely feels different and special. It had its own cast of characters, some of whom we saw very little of. (Sylvester Stallone makes only brief appearances, but a long history is implied every time.) It left me wanting more, but I'm glad that we got three solid movies with this cast, and that James Gunn - who was briefly fired due to some trolls on Twitter - got to return and do it right.

5 fictober 5+1 october 2022 challenge drabble sets + 1 extra drabble
iii. october 13-18 | fictober | angstober | who we once were, t, .6k
“I don’t want you to do that,” Sumner says, as if John needs to be told he’s worthless to know it. He’s not about to forget a single one of his failures, not even out here in the unknown.
below or on ao3: five au teams that messed up and one that got it just right
-
“I don’t want you to do that,” Sumner says, as if John needs to be told he’s worthless to know it. He’s not about to forget a single one of his failures, not even out here in the unknown.
“Don’t do that,” Elizabeth says. Rodney knows he’s useless in all the ways that matter out here. His brain’s only going to get them so far when they abandon the city.
“Stop it,” Bates says. Aiden understands that he isn’t experienced enough for this, not yet. Out here in Pegasus, he’s never going to have the chance to prove himself, either.
- -
Ronon puts his hand on his blaster. It’s been years, but he still remembers how Teyla had been so still, lifeless on the floor of Michael’s lab when they’d found her.
But here she is again, beautiful, confused, cautious, alive where she sits.
Sheppard’s as far back from the replicator bed as possible when he says, “Teyla.”
“Colonel,” Teyla says. She sounds like herself. “Is everything alright?”
“Yes,” Sheppard says, but shakes his head, scrubbing a hand through his hair. “No. I don’t know.”
This mistake is going to bite them in the ass, and Ronon bets it’ll be soon.
- - -
“What are you doing?” Sheppard asks, his head rolling to track Rodney.
“It’s okay,” Rodney says, his throat tight.
There’s a Marine at the door, Lieutenant Forbes maybe, but Rodney isn’t about to leave.
Sheppard winces as his blood is drawn. “What’s happening?”
“You have unique genes, Mr. Sheppard,” Carson says, but Sheppard’s still looking at Rodney.
“The President just needed to ensure your cooperation,” Rodney says, stepping forward. He places a hand on Sheppard’s shoulder. A month ago they’d been sharing a bed, but here he is, party to Sheppard’s detainment.
Ford raises his gun. “Hands off the prisoner.”
- - - -
Teyla’s in the infirmary and despite Lorne’s assurances, John knows it’s his fault. He shouldn’t be on missions. He should never have left Earth at all.
McKay pulls him closer, but it makes John’s stomach turn.
“You’re looking, but you don’t see,” John says.
“I told you not to talk to the Wraith,” McKay murmurs, kissing him too gently.
John closes his eyes, imagines the Wraith sliding between his thoughts, imagines how it would feel to have his life drained, imagines lying in the desert, waiting to die. The Wraith is the only one who knows exactly what John’s worth.
- - - - -
“Are you serious? Twelve percent?” Rodney shoves the ZPM unceremoniously into his case. They all know that won’t be nearly enough, not with the Enemy on the doorstep.
John has his gun on the priest by the door. Once, they might have bartered for the ZPM, worked with the people of this planet to reach a mutual accord. Maybe, someday, they’ll be able to afford such niceties again.
“We are not who we once were,” Teyla says, switching positions with John, letting him take point for their retreat.
Ronon pushes Rodney past her. “Yeah, well, we ran out of time.”
+
Rather than the peace and quiet she’s looking for, Elizabeth finds Sheppard in the lab.
“I don’t know how they did it,” Sheppard says, glaring at the whiteboard.
“John,” Elizabeth says. “I don’t think this is your problem. Not anymore.”
Sheppard doesn’t look at her, keeps staring at the board. “He should’ve died,” he says, like he’s angry at Rod for returning.
He’s not really angry, of course. Elizabeth isn’t either. She doesn’t know how they would’ve survived the gap Rod left behind.
“Go to the party,” Elizabeth says, steering Sheppard toward the door. “Maybe you’ll find some answers there.”

THE DARK KNIGHT FANFIC (Joker x OC) Part 12
Tumblr media
Lottie's mind went blank as Gordon asked her and other guests a series of questions. The other cops that were accompanying him did their best to calm everyone down so that they could get a clear story.
"Miss Wayne?" Lieutenant Gordon's voice snapped Lottie back into reality. He stared at her, his mouth forming a thin line of exasperation. "If you do not cooperate you'll be considered a suspect. I'm trying to help you."
Lottie blinked, panicking, unsure of how to respond.
"Sir, you might want to be careful." One of the cops said, turning around and staring at Lottie. "The general consensus of the other guests is that this girl was the Joker's accomplice, or at the very least is romantically associated with him."
James Gordon studied Lottie, searching her dark eyes for any sign of innocence, as he was seemingly reluctant to believe the accusation. "Lottie, is this true?"
Lottie Wayne finally came to her senses. She pulled out her cellphone and dropped it on the floor, destroying it by crushing it under her foot. She knew the evidence on it would be incriminating and point to more crimes than she was even suspected of committing. "Fine, use me as your scape goat. See how far that gets you." She remarked angrily. The cops grabbed her arms and yanked them behind her, cuffing her.
"Lieutenant Gordon," Alfred Pennyworth suddenly stepped forward. "Miss Wayne is just confused. She didn't really do anything against the law." He pleaded. "She just fell for the wrong man. Perhaps a man she didn't fully understand."
Gordon sighed. "It pains me to do this, sir, as you are a man I respect. But you know very well that we still have to take her into questioning. She's the only lead we have on this 'Joker'."
Alfred stepped back. "I understand." He replied sadly.
Lottie flashed the butler a wan smile of gratitude for his efforts as they dragged her past the blond man's corpse and onto the elevator.
🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏
Cold. The holding cell was dismal and bitterly cold. Lottie fidgeted in her cuffs, blinking as the bright white light turned on and Lieutenant Gordon entered. "Didn't expect you to be the one to interrogate me." Lottie remarked. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
"This is a special case, Lottie Elizabeth Wayne." The lieutenant said, taking a seat across from her at the metal table. "And you're involvement with this dangerous criminal puts an entirely different light on the deaths of Kent and Elizabeth, your parents. Imagine, sleeping with the man who violently murdered your own father and mother."
Lottie snorted, rolling her eyes. "What makes you so sure we fucked?"
Gordon coughed, uncomfortable with her phrasing. "Well, I've reviewed the camera footage, and based on what your cousin Bruce says on the matter, it's safe to say this relationship was... physically intimate. I'm only saying this because I'm concerned. You're too young—"
"—I'm 21 years old. I'm an adult!" Lottie said defensively.
"Regardless," The lieutenant interjected. "You're still vulnerable. There's never a good age to get involved with a man of that character. How... long have you known him?"
"Years." Lottie lied.
"So you've become somewhat accustomed to his antics?"
"If you mean his method of killing people, he always kept that side of his life separate." Lottie continued to bluff. "We just liked each-other's company. He's a really funny guy if you live long enough to get to know him." 'Well at least that's not a lie,' she thought, smirking.
Gordon frowned. "Do you think him killing your parents was a laughing matter?"
"Humor is subjective. Maybe you and I don't get why he does what he does but to him it's pretty hilarious. I find that fascinating. I... love that about him." She replied. In that moment there was something liberating about being blatantly honest. Not caring what people thought was like a drug. The more she did it, the more she wanted to do it. Lottie made a mental note to try the truth more often.
"Do you know what he has planned next? Did he ever mention his plans to you?" The lieutenant said, clearly unamused with Lottie's previous answers.
Lottie laughed. "Plans? I mean I honestly think that's funny you believe he has plans! If there's anything you... civilized people ought to know about the Joker is he lives a life of pure spontaneity."
Gordon checked his watch, and got up. "You'll be staying the night here, Lottie Wayne. So get used to this holding cell. And don't try anything stupid."
"Suit yourself. But you should probably remind yourself I'm from the richest family in Gotham. If it comes down to bail then I'm walking free. There's no need for me to try anything stupid. I'll be out of here before you know it."
And with that, Gordon left, slamming the door.

Hello Abby,
How are you?
I read that the planning for the former Queen Elizabeth's funeral (in real life) was codenamed "London Bridge" and was planned 30 years ago/since 30 years. Can you imagine that this also plays a role in BB, since the focus was/is on the construction of the bridge and it's actually also about the Queen's funeral and is supposed to be a hint as to when the Queen will die? so when the bridge is finished, the queen dies? Or something similar?
it's probably just a coincidence. I find the fact interesting nonetheless. Maybe yana came across it during her research and included it.
Btw iam glad that i found your blog🙏. Please keep writing your blog.🤗😉
London Bridge falling down
I've never heard the idea that Tower Bridge (or even the name of it) was ever associated with the death of Queen Victoria or planning for it. I've never come across that in my research about Tower Bridge, but that's interesting about "London Bridge" being the code name for planning QE2's funeral.
What I have learned about Tower Bridge is that:
It was built to make a more direct connection to east end London, because industries had expanded there.
It's the only bridge going across the Thames that raises up to let taller ships go through.
It's got an upper level for foot traffic, so people can cross even if the lower section is raised. But that path wasn't very popular for a while and was temporarily closed off because of that.
I'd read on the Wikipedia page that it was dedicated to Prince Albert, the queen's dead husband.
And that last one -- the dedication -- might be the most important aspect in Black Butler. That and how it would have been a symbol back then for England (and all of Great Britain) of the industrial revolution taking place. A symbol of the nation's strength and technological advancements.
I'm not entirely sure, from how your ask is worded, but perhaps you are not saying Tower Bridge is the code word... but how cool it would be if Yana-san decided to make that true in the Kuroverse. I just think that if that were the case, the queen (with a premonition or something from John Brown) would know, and she would try to postpone its construction to extend her own life. She seems like the sort who would delay something to keep herself alive a while longer... as long as the public didn't know that's what she was doing! 😆
Truthfully, I think it's quite the opposite here; I think she wants to finish this project, dedicated to her dead husband, and others have been delaying its construction. If you look up "tower bridge" in my blog, you will find a bunch of posts about my theory that Vincent wasn't cooperating with the queen (as much as demanded) regarding money and manpower for the project. It might be on purpose to slow it down, or it might be he simply had other priorities (which is what our earl tells Sebastian about why humans take so long to build things like that). Our earl says maybe the construction was delayed because people had other priorities. He wouldn't know he was talking about his own father here; it's a general statement, but he might have hit the nail on the head with that observation.
My observations about Tower Bridge are deeply rooted in my Mother3 theory, since King Porky is obsessed with technological advancements and maintaining popularity among his subjects (even if it means forcing or brainwashing them to adore him). The king has your house burned down, if you don't pledge allegiance to him... or if you do anything that shows a lack of loyalty to him. Lucas and Claus' house gets burned down at least twice. Nippolyte, the local and very eccentric gravedigger, has seen his home burned down something like 14 times. Eventually, he boards up what's left of it with a sign telling people to go away (or something like that).
So, I believe the Tower Bridge project might have something to do with why the Phantomhives were targeted on December 14, 1885. Not the only reason, but a big one. The project's timeline in real life is a bit different than in the manga. Notice that the plan was approved in 1875, around the time the twins were born. Then basically nothing for ten years. As soon as the Phantomhives were attacked and their estate was relinquished to the crown, the Tower Bridge project finally got into gear. The estate was back under Phantomhive ownership on March 15, 1886. But it was in the queen's hands long enough for her to take whatever funds she wanted for the project... as well as move people off the estate/out of the village and into London to help. Ch132 is extremely important for my theory on this, because Vincent specifically talks about the money and help needed to construct/repair bridges and dig ditches. He also explains that the estate and earldom do so well because of the people who live and work there. It's also around that time that Vincent and his sister argue about preparing his heir, and he half-jokes he might have to relinquish the earldom to the crown if he doesn't have an heir ready to take over. When our earl returns to the estate, he finds it's not just about a burned down manor. The estate and the village are run-down and slipping into further debt.
I know that ch151 has real Ciel learning about competition from the US due to cheaper imports, etc., but I don't think that's all of it. There was no indication, from Vincent or anyone else, about the estate or earldom suffering from financial or infrastructural decline as the twins' 10th birthday approached. Our earl might not have even known the entire truth about what the queen did with the Phantomhive coffers and workers while she had full access to them.
Now... if the bridge is finally finished and she dies? That would be an interesting touch. But I don't think it's particularly significant.
ETA: In Mother3, there's Lightning Tower, with some floors still under construction, but it's this structure that's used to strike down houses and other buildings, whenever King Porky is upset by disloyal subjects. There's also Empire Porky Building, which has 100 floors (so also a tall tower), and many parts of it are also still under construction.

“Jughead Jones with Elizabeth, Betty, Cooper, daughter of the infamous Black Hood – Hal Cooper. Betty, can you start off by telling us how many people Hal Cooper murdered?”
“Four, including my two best friends, Veronica Lodge and Archie Andrews,” she said in a clear voice and Jughead worked hard not to gasp.
“Your two best friends?” Jughead asked in horror, willing his voice to remain steady.
“Yes,” she said. “He murdered them both the same day and they were the last two people he killed before Sheriff Keller, a friend’s father, apprehended him in a final showdown.”
“And how many years ago was this?” Jughead asked, keeping his voice quiet out of respect. He couldn’t imagine how hard that was.
“Let’s see,” Betty said. “I’m twenty-six, so it would have been ten years ago now. He killed them one evening, late at night in the dead of winter.”
My god. “I’m so sorry for your losses.”
Betty’s eyes smarted and she looked up to the ceiling for a moment as she laughed dryly. “Ten years later and I can still cry over it. Oh well, what’s done is done. No good getting stuck on the past. What’s your next question for me, Mr. Jones?”
“Jughead is fine, Betty,” he said softly, going through his mental notes of the questions Scott wanted him to ask her. “Have you seen your father any over the last ten years?”
“Once,” she said calmly. “To tell him I hate him, and I hope he burns in hell.”

GOTG Vol 3
Tumblr media
When your working the day it’s released and want to avoid spoilers during it’s first weekend, you head to an advance screening.
I had sorta been following the hype of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, since the days of James Gunn working on the script and seeing which songs he put with this Instagram stories as part of the script he was working on. Which meant, I went in with an understanding of this is going to hurt like a mothertrucker and I better be all emotions activated.
It has been a hot minute since I’ve seen the first two including the Christmas special, which turns out my marvel fan of a brother hadn’t seen, and I had to explain who the “new” characters were.
Now after seeing the movie, I can absolutely say it’s a perfect way to end the trilogy and acknowledge the future of these characters. Especially with it’s tie up of two closing credits, polaroids of the previous Guardians adventures and a hint of what may be coming next with our beloved.
For me watching this, it was full of adventure, full of laughs and as I heard in the session I was in, a while lot of sniffles.
At the heart of this movie is family, the unbreakable bond of an unlikely squad of misfits becoming family.
This story features heavily on Rocket’s past and who his creator was, this story cameos Adam Warlock; who I thought was greatly underused throughout, and his mother; Ayesha, as well as their capturer.
The cast is not only filled with familiar faces of our beloved characters but also a familiar faces of cameos; Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, Jennifer Holland, Elizabeth Debicki and Sly Stallone, but also a list of new faces; Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, Miriam Shor and Nico Santos.
Just like with any James Gunn film, there is a kickass playlist to match which fits most scenes throughout the movie. Though I did question the scene that Alice Cooper’s I'm Always Chasing Rainbows song purely because I imagine that song more as an end credit scene rather than the scene Gunn has chosen for it.
If that’s my only issue with the film than clearly, I couldn’t find anything bad about it.
The pacing felt pretty quick during most times, there were times that it did pace itself, but I feel that was due to the storyline and them wanted to show the most of what this story was truly about and that was the past of Rocket, rather than trying to fit it all into a montage.
Two end credit scenes, and polaroids of the past conclude our beloved characters. Leaving them to adventures that we may/may not ever see again.
As I mentioned earlier, this is defiantly a perfect way to end a trilogy.

The Canticle of Mary, also called The Magnificat, appears below both in English and in Latin.
My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the low estate of His handmaiden,
For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with His arm:
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
and exalted those of low degree.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
and the rich He has sent empty away.
He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy;
As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to His posterity forever.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Magníficat ánima mea Dóminum,
et exsultávit spíritus meus
in Deo salvatóre meo,
Amen.
“About the Canticle of Mary,
The Magnificat [Latin: magnifies], also called The Canticle of Mary, is recorded in the Gospel of Luke (1:46-55). It is the Virgin Mary's joyous prayer in response to her cousin Elizabeth's greeting (Luke 1: 41-45). This great hymn forms part of the Church's prayer in the Divine Office (Liturgy of the Hours). When it is recited as part of the Divine Office, it is followed by the Gloria Patri ("Glory be"). The traditional sung Magnificat is Latin plainchant. One of the hymn's most glorious musical renditions is the version of the Magnificat by J.S. Bach.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church describes the Magnificat as "the song both of the Mother of God and of the Church" [CCC 2619], and explains this prayer's significance:
Mary's prayer is revealed to us at the dawning of the fullness of time. Before the Incarnation of the Son of God, and before the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, her prayer cooperates in a unique way with the Father's plan of loving kindness: at the Annunciation, for Christ's conception; at Pentecost, for the formation of the Church, His Body. In the faith of His humble handmaid, the Gift of God found the acceptance He had awaited from the beginning of time. She whom the Almighty made "full of grace" responds by offering her whole being: "Behold I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be [done] to me according to Thy word". "Fiat": this is Christian prayer: to be wholly Gods' because He is wholly ours. [CCC 2617]
