characters mentioned:
ticci toby, nina the killer, jane the killer, clockwork, eyeless jack, jeff the killer.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
WARNINGS (?)
I apologize if any of the genres are wrong, I looked most of them up on google.
I do not own any of the songs/albums I'm also not part of the bands mentioned, nor am I the singer/songwriter.
I claim NO ownership to any of them.
Also, if any of these bands/singers are involved in any serious controversies, please tell me so I can replace them.
Please understand that these are headcanons, and may not be 100% accurate to the characters themselves.
(I just felt like I should say that before I start this)
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Ticci toby
Midwestern emo / indie rock
Duster, modern baseball, the smiths, mom jeans, neutral milk hotel, merchant ships, etc.
He thinks he's super cool and special because of his music taste
He's the type of person to say stuff like "YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY LIKE THIS SONG THE WAY I LIKE THIS SONG"
he will argue with someone over the smiths
He likes to sit outside in the snow and smoke a cigarette while listening to music, even though he got hypothermia once from doing that.
Nina the killer
crunkcore / metalcore / rap
Bullet for my valentine, brokencyde, millionaires, breathe carolina, dot dot curve, hollywood undead, etc.
she goes around the manor saying "BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, POW, POW, POW, POW" (dot dot curve song reference) all the time, and it gets on everyone's nerves
there's not a time when she isn't listening to music tbh, even when she's out killing
sometimes she'll make her victims listen to one of her playlists and rate it, if they give it a good rating she'll give them a fast and easy death, but if they give it a bad rating.. slow and painful.
Clockwork
rock and roll / glam metal
Joan jett & the blackheart's, guns n' roses, the rolling stones, ramones, queen, the runaways, etc.
Joan jett is her idol
Her walls are COVERED in band posters, and she also collects old magazines just cause she thinks they're cool
She knows how to play guitar, the only reason she learned how to play was because of slash from guns n' roses
She will try to fight you if you talk shit about her favorite bands
Jane the killer
dark wave / post punk / gothic rock
siouxsie and the banshees, she past away, bauhaus, the cure, london after midnight, lycia etc
She's a fan of the cure, tobys a fan of the smiths.. they fight, a lot.
she collects a lot of cd/tapes of her favorite bands, and plays them ALLLL the time
if she's not too busy sometimes she'll go to a goth club, she doesn't really dance though.. she'll just stand at the back of the club and vibe
She usually doesn't care about other people's opinions when it comes to music, but if you diss robert smith she's throwing hands.
Eyeless Jack
Alternative hip-hop / britpop / psychedelic pop
Blur, tame Impala, oasis, MF DOOM, beastie boys, out kast, etc.
he will correct you if you spell it "mf doom" instead of "MF DOOM" but other than that, he's a pretty chill guy
He secretly thinks that blur is a bit better than oasis, but he'll never say that out loud.
he doesn't take music too seriously
he has a "each to their own" mentality when it comes to music
he does collect records though, and if he sees even a tiny scratch on one of his records he freaks out.
If you need a good playlist to listen to during a smoke sesh, he's your guy.
Jeff the killer
dsbm / hardcore punk / death metal
Woods of desolation, bathory, cradle of filth, forgotten tomb, carcass, the exploited, etc.
Regularly calls people "posers" and he will make you name eight songs instead of five
he thinks any other music is overrated, and will voice that opinion.
Average reddit user (I'm sorry)
He looks cool as hell in corpse paint though
He frequently goes to shows, but he has no "mosh pit etiquette" if he sees someone fall, he'll just stomp over them and continue moshing.

ROBERT SMITH DATING HCS
A/N: I'm reposting work from my old deactivated account Glam-and-Roses!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝐍/𝐒𝐅𝐖: SFW
𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞: Headcanons
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝?: Yes
𝐂𝐖: Cigarettes, pure silliness :3
Robert Smith is a very socially awkward guy!
cause of that he isn’t really big on PDA, sometimes he will hold your hand under a table, but most times he would rather just be next to you or around you in Some way!!
At home it’s almost the same way, of course he’s not as shy with holding or cuddling you, but he’s not all over you, he just kinda has both arms as he pulls you close to his chest.
One thing stays the same, in the house and out in public tho!!
ROBERT SMITH DOES NOT HOLD EYE CONTACT.
His eyes dart everywhere, the floor, the sky LITERALLY ANYWHERE
he just finds it uncomfortable, he doesn’t like it much
of course there’s some instances where he pushes himself on special occasions and looks at you, other than that…then err..naur!
You know that one clip where Robert is so tired he literally just plops down on the floor and lays there
yall do that together, like sometimes if you guys where out for a while and his Social battery is done for, he just flops on the ground silently, he doesn’t talk, just stares at the ceiling. You literally just shrug, and lay down next to him.
y’all just sit in silence until you nudge him to wake up.
Also!! Remeber how I said Robert was a little bit on the quieter side??
don’t run in that too much!!
because he’s also INSANELY SASSY.
some of the NASTIEST SIDE EYES have been from Robert himself
like you gotta do a double take cause HELLO??
Let’s talk about his appearance!
that teased hair of his is a MENACE. He does NOTHING to sometimes help it, like you physically have to drag him and fix it for him so his hair doesn’t tucking die
His lipstick is EVERYWHERE, your shirt, sometimes if he’s feeling cheeky it’s on your cheek (laugh. LAUGH!!!) even on like the bathroom sink??? Towels EVERYWHERE, He’s equivalent to a shedding dog with his mess.
he does ask you to sometimes to his lipstick if he’s lazy.
and his eyeliner and eyeshadow
He just likes the feeling of your hand on his cheek or face.
with smoking Robert and you share a cigarette
he likes sharing with you, that’s kind of the way Robert shows affection!!
robert doesn’t have high self esteem sometimes, so you gotta hype him up a lil! Hold him, tell him how handsome he isss ETC!!
I feel like Robert does really smile, but when he does it’s one of those awkward smiles. Like the smiles that you do when your moms gonna take a photo of you?? Those smiles
also, he kind of mumbles when he talks a lot, he doesn’t really speak clearly, but you’ve kind of adapted to his speaking
oh!! One last hc!!
Robert smith is the little spoon.
I’ll say it again for the people in the back
ROBERT SMITH IS THE LITTLE SPOON!!!!

Robert would wake you up in the morning by wrapping his arms around you. You'd be surprised by how messy his hair is.
Lipstick smudges EVERYWHERE
Would take your lipstick without asking
You hear him sing in the shower constantly
You would always steal his oversized sweaters
He would try to teach you guitar but you always fail
You'd be the one with lipstick stains on your face, clothes, and bed.
During sex, you pull on his hair HARD
He's very quiet during sex
Occasionally he whimpers your name, and you LOVE it
He would take you to his favorite writing spots
You would always order tea for him even tho he feels bad about it
Robert believes "a man should always pay"
Would be upset if you didn't eat a proper meal
Would always bring an extra piece of food just in case you got hungry
Would doubt himself in holding your hand
He loves praise and cuddling
Would watch old black and white movies with you
Would fall asleep at your place every time on dates.
Always chews bubblegum and would blow bubbles

He wears oversized shirts, jackets, and everything.
When the weather is cold he would wear scarfs and make you cookies
Sometimes late at night, he would read books with pictures
When he can't sleep, he lies next to you in bed playing with your hair
Would make silly faces at you
Would widen his eyes when looking at you far away
Write poems on small sticky notes and stick them around the place
When he's sick, he stays in bed surrounding himself in blankets and pillows. So he looks like an old lady.
He has VERY cold hands
He also has very veiny and pale hands
Doesn't go outside much besides writing and gardening
Hates going shopping at malls and grocery stores
Hates hot weather (thinks it ruins his makeup)
Would creep up behind you and give you hugs
Loves to rest his head on your shoulder
Asks for you to paint his nails
Would always rant about his hatred for Morrissey
Would sleep like a vampire (haha jk)
He's very weird but in a good way
Never smiles but when he does it's for you
Loves animals, especially cats
Doesn't know how to use chopsticks
For Halloween, instead of matching. He would dress in drag like wigs and makeup
He would say "oh la la" when you take your clothes off (HAHA I'M SORRY)
He would also say "oh no no" when he messes something up
Would unironically say "yippie" or "yay" when he accomplishes something
And lastly, he would be a sweetheart while dating you. He would buy flowers, candy, etc for you. Hold your hand, hug you, etc. He'll just be an all in all sweetheart.
WOAH okay, this is my first time making headcanons so idk how to end it? So, I hope you enjoyed this attempted headcanon? Anyway, THANKS 4 READING!!!

I think people forget that Gendry in show got Edric Storm plot. Gendry in books is a tertiary character. If Ary@ is going to meet him in books, it will be at Riverrun. But I don't think he would go to WF with her. Also like him, Mya Stone is introduced to Sansa story. Both Baratheon bastards befriended Stark girls in disguise.
Yes, it’s sad that they turned Gendry into this carricature. :(
The most interesting and significant thing about her friendship with Gendry is that they have genuine classist conflict. Which is why I also believe that they will likely meet again, and in a different universe with a time skip may have explored that with a vaguely romantic angle. As it is, it’s still waiting for another confrontation on the subject of class conflict and respect.
When Arya wants to escape Harrenhal, Gendry is not enthused. He is, in fact, deeply sarcastic.
"And if we did escape, where would we go?"
"Winterfell," she said at once. "I'd tell Mother how you helped me, and you could stay—"
"Would m'lady permit? Could I shoe your horses for you, and make swords for your lordly brothers?"
Sometimes he made her so angry. "You stop that!" "Why should I wager my feet for the chance to sweat in Winterfell in place of Harrenhal? You know old Ben Blackthumb? He came here as a boy. Smithed for Lady Whent and her father before her and his father before him, and even for Lord Lothston who held Harrenhal before the Whents. Now he smiths for Lord Tywin, and you know what he says? A sword's a sword, a helm's a helm, and if you reach in the fire you get burned, no matter who you're serving. Lucan's a fair enough master. I'll stay here." (ACOK, Arya IX)
She considers Gendry her pack, but Gendry has a very different outlook on life. She is a “wolf” because she has a house sigil, she is ultra highborn nobility, while for Gendry the lords are like the clouds that come and go far out of his reach. They are not the same.
That's not to say he's right in thinking that who rules makes zero difference to the smallfolk, but Arya is essentially viewing him as a transferable good. Her father allowed her to bring her swordmaster Syrio along to Winterfell, why can't she just bring along her blacksmith friend? His perspective is entirely secondary to her own, and his lack of agreement, his invocation of their status difference doesn’t cause her to respond with even a reasonable counter-argument. Just anger at his lack of cooperation.
This conflict is not resolved from either end.
One of their last exchanges before being separated features a return to the class divide and how it shapes their priorities.
Gendry joins the Brotherhood for very deliberate, political reasons. He chooses his own group, based on his own sense of justice. He willingly accepts the risk to his life, answers the question he asked a book earlier. Why wager his feet for the choice who to serve? Because it does matter. He has evolved in his priorities.
“At the hollow hill, what you said about being King Robert’s men, and brothers, I liked that. I liked that you gave the Hound a trial. Lord Bolton just hanged folk or took off their heads, and Lord Tywin and Ser Amory were the same. I’d sooner smith for you.”
Arya has no evolved yet at that point. All she hears is:
Arya bit her lip. He means to leave me too.
Her reaction is to lash out to cover up her hurt feelings, as she usually does:
As Arya was cinching her saddle girth, Gendry came up to say that he was sorry. She put a foot in the stirrup and swung up into her saddle, so she could look down on him instead of up. You could have made swords at Riverrun for my brother, she thought, but what she said was, “If you want to be some stupid outlaw knight and get hanged, why should I care? I’ll be at Riverrun, ransomed, with my brother.”
She dismisses his personal convictions and frames them in contrast to the privilege of serving her family, she clings to her own status as a highborn lady worth of ransom, from up on her horse.
This becomes an uncomfortable stance to take later. Their final exchange before her kidnapping is about this:
“Did the Lannisters kill the people who lived here?” Arya asked as she helped Anguy dry the horses. “No.” He pointed. (...)
“Who did it, then?” asked Gendry.
“Hoster Tully.” Notch was a stooped thin grey-haired man, born in these parts. “This was Lord Goodbrook’s village. When Riverrun declared for Robert, Goodbrook stayed loyal to the king, so Lord Tully came down on him with fire and sword. After the Trident, Goodbrook’s son made his peace with Robert and Lord Hoster, but that didn’t help the dead none.”
A silence fell. Gendry gave Arya a queer look, then turned away to brush his horse. (ASOS, Arya VIII)
That noble lord killing smallfolk is her grandfather. Her people. Killing people like Gendry. They are not the same.
Their relationship is begging to be revisited. To show Arya having grown beyond viewing lowborn people through the lens of her personal attachment or her own sense of justice, but within the context of her own privilege. To make room for their perspective even if it doesn’t include her. To actually be a lady, own her privilege and answer it with duty.
There is a theme of comparing their hands. “She has the hands of a blacksmith”. He laughs at her dainty hands and says she couldn’t wield a hammer, yet she has calluses from training with a sword. Swords are made by blacksmiths. Her weapon is made by his hands.
If Gendry represents the smallfolk, and Arya the nobility, then she needs to become worthy of carrying a sword, of being handed that privilege by people like him. Not because it’s “a shade more fun than needlework”, but because it represents power and justice and needs to be tempered with duty and responsibility.
Arya’s sword needs to serve the people, not herself.
Sadly, all the show saw in them was an opportunity to get Maisie naked. :(

Task Force X, but how they would survive the Zombie Apocalypse
[So I've been watching the walking dead lately, and this idea just popped into my head.]
[This post will also be on my main blog @1-v-0-ry ]
Tumblr media
Rick Flag: so, idk why, but I can't stop comparing this fool to Rick Grimes. Literally both morally good, whose government abandoned them when they needed it the most. With his military experience, he's definitely the one to lead the group and get them to safety. No man, women, or children left behind. He's also the type to scavenge for supplies.
Tumblr media
Robert Dubois (Bloodsport): He's the lone wolf. He doesn't need anyone or anything, but that's kinda a lie, because he has to put his faith in people to survive. He can nab a few undead in the head, no problem, but when the isolated tragic threat of the apocalypse gets a little to real, he's gonna want some people to rely on in the long run. Luckily, he does trust Flag.
Tumblr media
Christopher Smith (Peacemaker): Listen, this son of a bitch would either be the one that betrays the group, only to get a completely out of left field redemption arc (honestly he already did), or literally get bit and try to conceal it as much as he could, until it's too late and he becomes a zombie.Harley Quinn: So obviously she survives because she's Harley fucking Quinn. You think she isn't already prepared for an upcoming apocalypse at any moment, looking for a chance to go wild, chopping off zombies heads like it's no problem. She's also a team player, and probably at Rick's disposal no matter what. She's a queen what else can I say.
Tumblr media
Harley Quinn: So obviously she survives because she's Harley fucking Quinn. You think she isn't already prepared for an upcoming apocalypse at any moment, looking for a chance to go wild, chopping off zombies heads like it's no problem. She's also a team player, and probably at Rick's disposal no matter what. She's a queen what else can I say.
Tumblr media
Cleo Cazo (Ratcatcher 2): Without a doubt, probably the kindest person you could come across in time of tragedy. Cleo probably has experienced the most degradation, especially when she's little the key to surviving the apocalypse. With all the major cities abandoned, the rats get unnoticed, especially in herds. Cleo is best at gathering supplies, because she can slip under the radar of every single zombie that passes her by. She's such an integral asset of the group. She's got everyone's back and everyone's got hers.
Tumblr media
Abner Krill (Polka Dot Man): Of course, I have to talk about my beloved darling <3. Abner is definitely a wrong place wrong time kinda guy. Unfortunately, he'd be shit scared out of his mind around mindless zombies surrounding him to eat his flesh. However, I don't think the Zombies would be able to eat him due to his interdimensional virus. He's basically immune from their bite, so he's covered. Another extremely important asset because he's immune. His polka dots go through zombie quick, and just turn them into mush. He can blast into a crowd of them with no repercussions. His anxiety is definitely still there, and unable to sleep because he's so worried about the group.
----------------------------------------------------------
Ocs:
Tumblr media
Marie Sinclair (Tic Tac Toe): Without a doubt, Marie is definitely the one pretending to be a zombie so that she can get passed the herd unnoticed. She's probably always with Cleo when scavenging the city, and always leaves signs to tell others in need of help where they are (sometimes it ends up backfiring). She's extremely loyal, but like Dubois, she tends to stray away from the group a lot. When she's by herself, it's easier to focus on surviving. Another thing similar to Dubois is that she's also afraid to be lonely in a desolate apocalypse.
Tumblr media
Marley Hawthorne (belongs to @shayyloft): Undead powers, could definitely communicate with the zombies. If anything, Marley would definitely be the most op, because she could also control the zombies (like make them peacefully turn away) and could even use a whole ass zombie army to her disposal. And with her powers of invisibility, she could just easily slip right pass through.
F/c(s) used: Emma Stone, Cruella. ALycia Debnam Carey, Fear the Walking Dead.

“Feeling good in my skin/ I just keep on dancing,” Harry Styles sings in his latest single, “Treat People With Kindness.” And in the song’s exuberant music video -- which has garnered 17 million YouTube views and counting since its debut on New Year’s Day -- he does just that: Wearing a sequined jacket and bow tie, he chassés, spins and flutters jazz hands like an MGM musical star (with a little help from his equally debonair partner, Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge).
Styles shot the video in early 2019 after several weeks of training with choreographer Paul Roberts, a collaborator since his One Direction days. “I think somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew this could be something special,” says Roberts, a veteran stage director and choreographer who’s worked on videos and tours for the likes of Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Diana Ross, and the Spice Girls (their Spiceworld stadium tour).
Watching the explosive fan reaction to Styles’s little known dance talents -- including from the Spice Girls, who've “sent lovely messages" about the video -- Roberts says it seems like "Treat People With Kindness" arrived at the precise right moment. “Most people’s comments are, ‘I’ve not felt that happy for three and a half minutes in a long time,’ or ‘I smiled from ear to ear the whole way through.’ It’s a positive light.”
He spoke to Billboard about Styles’ intensive training process -- and why he wouldn’t be surprised to see him dancing onstage again.
There’s been one pretty overwhelming reaction to this video: “This is the guy who was in the group that insisted they couldn’t dance?!” Did you expect this kind of reaction to Harry dancing? I’ve been with Harry for 10 years: I was with the One Direction boys from the beginning the whole way through their career before they took the hiatus, and they always made a very conscious decision that they didn’t want choreography as part of their brand -- but they did want a kind of disheveled organization in order to allow the cameras and the lighting to stand a chance in terms of presenting them in the best manner possible.
What was very evident to me was that all five of them, and then it obviously became four, they’ve all got their own magic. The only time I’ve experienced that was when I worked with the Spice Girls. I always knew that they had special skills aside from what they were in One Direction, whether it was movement, songwriting, being able to handle the business side of things. For such young lads they were very astute and very decisive.  So, getting together with Harry -- he’s a bit of an alchemist, is Harry. Everything he turns his hand to turns to gold. Where did the initial dance-centric concept come from? Harry and the directors, Ben and Gabe [Turner], sent me a video link to the Nicholas Brothers scene from Stormy Weather and Harry asked me, "How long do you think it would take to dance like this?" I was like, "OK, are you being serious?" "Yeah, I’m being serious."
That is probably one of the most standout dance sequences ever captured on film -- so I knew we were aiming high. I said, "Why don’t we go into a studio and let’s workshop some choreography, some moves, some short sequences, and see what your ability is, see how we can tailor this to make you look the best you can possibly look." Obviously it would take some investment in terms of rehearsal and commitment, I told him it would be mentally and physically exhausting, but I thought, "My God yeah, let’s do it; this will be an adventure."
How long did the whole process take? We started in mid-January 2019, and we rehearsed and workshopped for about four to five weeks before the shoot, every day. Both Harry and Phoebe had other things going on, so, for instance, Phoebe was working on the new Bond movie in Canada, so I sent my assistant to Canada to work with her. I stayed in the U.K. with Harry, and then we went to L.A. where Harry shot two more videos, for “Watermelon Sugar” and “Falling.”
At the end of the “Watermelon Sugar” shoot, he wrapped, got in his car, came to the dance studio and we rehearsed into the night. Knowing how short a time you sometimes get with artists even for really big performances, I thought the rehearsals would dilute and we’d lose momentum, but both Phoebe and Harry were so committed.
What was the process in the studio like with Harry? We didn’t even use his [vocal] track to begin with -- we used different big band songs, some contemporary alternative music. It was just about finding his [movement] language first and foremost.  Then we developed the choreography and sent it to the directors, who gave us feedback. We enhanced the work a bit more, and then once we had some really solid sequences, Ben and Gabe storyboarded the scenes against the timeline of the music.
At this point Harry and Phoebe were still working separately, and then we joined forces in London, where we really started to refine these sequences of choreography we’d developed, trying to find the finesse and the style, almost making sense of the movement for them so they felt they had a dancer’s way of working the movement through the body. You’ve worked with a wide variety of artists, many of whom aren’t dancers first. How do you find, as you put it, the “language” of movement that makes sense for each of them as individuals?
I think the general answer is really communicating -- listening and understanding what the artist’s desire is. And also collaborating, so you don’t get too lost in yourself as a choreographer. What looks good on you might not transcend to the artist, or even necessarily the dancers.
With Harry, what was important within the language of the choreography was that it felt joyful and had personality. Him and Phoebe, with the work she’s done with Fleabag, you associate them and what they do with a sense of style, a real confidence, but at the heart of it it’s entertainment. And with the amount of time and budget we had, which was such a luxury in this day and age, we wanted to do something that pushed both of them out of their comfort zones. We tried to make it as athletic as possible but without compromising them as artists and becoming too comedic. We wanted it to be a bit quaint and cute in places, but we definitely didn’t want it to be thought of as nonsensical or silly.
Harry’s movement in the video is so crisp and precise, even his hands and arm extension look very dancerly. Did that come through a lot of specific work with you? As a songwriter and artist, for Harry it’s about detail, about pushing yourself to be the best. He’s always got questions: "Why are we doing that? Should we be doing this?" We got to a point during the rehearsal period where I brought in a ballet teacher, really to just get Harry and Phoebe to open themselves up from behind their shoulder blades, have an idea of extension, the lines that extend from your center all the way to the tip of your finger. I’d be saying, “Your arms Harry, your arm line!” Asking him to push his shoulders down, lift his carriage up, extend through his breast. And when he hit those lines, he’d be like, “Oh yeah, that feels different.” It’s funny: We spent a couple days apart -- he had to go off and do a gig somewhere -- and I was like, “I hope you’re rehearsing when you’ve got some downtime, dude!” And he sent me a picture in the gym with his arms in the most beautiful balletic arm line! I was like, "Yes, by George, you’ve got it!" Besides the Nicholas Brothers, did you have any particular dance references in mind for the feel of the choreography? I just delved into the MGM archives. Obviously [Fred] Astaire and [Gene] Kelly, the two greats -- especially with Astaire, we loved how sometimes it seems so effortless yet a bit throwaway, not totally totally perfect always.  We enjoyed the moments from him of “I’ll just do a bit of this,” “I’ll just walk off camera left,” the dropping in and out of movement.  We loved the duet “Moses Supposes” from Singin’ in the Rain, for Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor -- we loved the camaraderie between them, which felt a bit goofball at times, and just that wry smile, the look to the left, knowing your partner is there and has got your back. It feels fizzy, it feels joyful.
And yes, there was a massive core of MGM-ism, but at the same time an absolute huge dollop of Harry-and-Phoebe-ism. It was important to us to feel a bit more contemporary, so again we stay true to Harry and Phoebe as artists. Has Harry indicated any interest in dancing more going forward?
We had a conversation back at the end of the summer about how much we enjoyed the process, and I know he was doing another project where choreography was involved, so we were just talking about it and how he felt. Coming from where he came from to what he was about to do, he felt he could be pushed even further. I don’t know if he got the bug, or if it’s just the way he is as a person, very inquisitive and wanting to keep elevating himself. There’s now been some talk on social media that it can’t be long before Harry does Broadway. What do you think?
I mean, I think with Harry Styles, anything is possible, is it not? I mean, I’m sure because he’s tasted the dance, he’ll inject that along the line in his career. It won’t necessarily be out-and-out dancing, but I guess it’s a bit like Bowie used to do, isn’t it? It’s the showmanship and presentation of the performance. Who knows? He’s just so open-minded and open-hearted — and because he’s so open it allows the universe to come back at him and he’s able to do anything he sets his mind to.

How Harry Styles Found His Inner Dancer For 'Treat People With Kindness'

Well I haven’t watched sp all the way through for about a decade now, so I thought it was time
Sometimes I wonder how accurate the fandom is when it comes to how we interpret the characters. Like, why is Stan a football star so often in fanfic and why’s Kyle always the smart one? So I thought I’d rewatch the show and make notes along the way to see where the source of all these interpretations is. I also wanted to see if I could get some fun info to analyze, but season 1 is pretty sparse in that regard so there’s not too much of that in this post, but I’ll make a post for all the other seasons too as I watch them
In summary, it’s established in season 1 already that Stan’s a star quarterback and an animal lover, Kyle’s an A+ student, and Kenny is poor and knows a lot about sex and doesn’t have many qualms about doing crazy shit. Cartman is a bit weird since he’s mostly just a naive brat in this season, but he and Kyle have a mildly antagonistic friendship already
I have all my notes under this cut. They include a bunch of small details and other observations. I also listed every Kenny death just because
Ike has freckles
Cartman says “Weak!” and “You guys” and “Seriously” a lot from the start, also “Kickass!” He doesn’t say weak or kickass much in the later seasons iirc
Stan says “Dude, this is pretty fucked up right here” three times in this season but they dropped that catchphrase pretty quickly
Bebe got named in episode 2
Stan’s been an animal lover since s01e03 Volcano since he won’t shoot a bunny or anything else. He does shoot Scuzzlebutt at the end though
Cartman’s a pathological liar but in a childish way
Randy got named in s01e03 Volcano (and it only got worse from there)
The mayor went to Princeton
South Park is next to Mt. Evanson
Kenny will literally drink gasoline
Stan’s a star quarterback in 3rd grade
Clyde’s voice is wrong as hell in S01E04 Big Gay Al’s Big Gay Boat Ride and he has a dog, Rex
Garrison says Kyle is an A+ kid
Shelly seriously abuses Stan, punching him, throwing him, maiming him with a lawnmower
Cartman had a pot-bellied pig called Fluffy
Cartman’s mom smokes crack and has sex with strange men
Dr. Mephesto is probably a Buddhist since he says “Thank Buddha” instead of “Thank God”
Clyde’s voice gets kind of fixed in S01E06
A guy called Mr. McCormick is killed in a protest, launched and splattered against a network building. He doesn’t look like Kenny’s dad though
Zombie Clyde attacks Bebe, rude
Wendy gave her costume contest prize (2 tons of candy) to hungry children in Nairobi
Cartman’s mom is on the cover of Crack Whore magazine. “Back do’ ho… Five on one action!” is the headline
Cartman genuinely cries at Kenny’s grave after the whole zombie thing but gets over it because of candy
Stan knows his mom’s credit card number and has no problem using it to adopt an Ethiopian child (the boys wanted a watch that came with the adoption, they weren’t doing it to be nice)
Cartman calls Stan a vas deference, Stan doesn’t know what that is so Kenny says “Dude, it’s a pipe for your peepee” (according to a transcript). Kenny sure knows male anatomy
Kyle sniffs Kenny after Cartman asks why poor people smell like sour milk and Garrison says “idk eric they just do”
Cartman thinks poor people should die and decrease the surplus population
When the boys get Starvin’ Marvin delivered to them, Cartman says “Hey mom, we found an Ethiopian, can we keep him?” and his mom says “Sure, hun.” She rarely says no to Cartman
Kenny’s dad is an alcoholic who drinks scotch according to Cartman. I mean, Mr. McCormick is seen drinking in multiple episodes and has a hat that says SCOTCH so it’s probably true
Kenny’s family says grace
Craig’s first appearance is S01E09. Also, S01E09 is the first time Kenny doesn’t die (Coincidence? I THINK yeah but it’s still fun)
Clyde got named in S01E10
Clyde and Bebe both spit on Pip’s face, friendship goals <3
Cartman and Kyle have their first fight at Cartman’s birthday party because Kyle didn’t give the right gift. Cartman slaps his face and  screams “I hate you! I want you to die! Die!” while on top of Kyle who’s not really fighting back
Satan throws a fight with Jesus after everyone except Satan bet that Jesus would lose, which leads to Satan winning everyone’s money. Mr. Garrison says “What a mean thing to do!” and Jimbo says “He is a jerk!” and I thought it was quite a laugh so I wrote it down
In S01E11 Tom’s Rhinoplasty Bebe and Wendy are sitting in the swings together and generally appear together throughout the episode, then Bebe gives Wendy a makeover so they’re bffs obviously <3
Craig first appears in the classroom, though not sitting down, in S01E11
Wendy’s not happy about Ms. Ellen taking Stan away from her, she says “Don’t fuck with me! Stay away from my man, bitch, or I’ll whoop your sorry ho ass back to last year!”
Kenny gives Ms. Ellen a scrumptious looking sausage as a valentine’s gift and giggles deviously. Wendy’s gift to Ms. Ellen is a dead animal
Even Kenny doesn’t know what a lesbian is
Wendy’s grandma died in S01E11
Wendy gets Ms. Ellen killed by hiring the Iraqi government (?) to put her in a rocket and shoot it into the sun, then she and Bebe have a pool party (very cool, they wear sunglasses 😎) and watch the rocket hit the sun
Cartman and Pip play a game of kicking each other in the nuts until someone falls. Cartman calls it “Roshambo”
Kenny has a sack of marbles
The boys aren’t fans of Barbra Streisand, but Stan is a fan of the Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway (he’s not a quarterback anymore, he’s an American football executive and the president of football operations for the Denver Broncos of the NFL according to wikipedia.)
Officer Barbrady is a fan of Fiona Apple (who was 20 at the time and had only one album released called Tidal)
Ned knows how to pilot a helicopter
Kyle’s mom is a fan of Streisand unlike literally everyone else, she even gets an autograph from Mecha Streisand
The boys are fans of Robert Smith, the lead singer of The Cure. Stan says “Robert Smith is the greatest person that ever lived!” and Kyle says “Disintegration is the best album ever!” and Cartman says “Robert Smith kicks ass!” and Kenny’s dead so he doesn’t get to have an opinion
Cartman has tea parties with his toys: Polly Prissypants, Clyde frog, Peter Panda, and a dragon called Rumpertumskin
Kyle wants to make fun of Cartman for the tea party but Stan stops him because he’s concerned that Cartman needs help
Craig is in front of the school counselor’s office in S01E13
A young miss Cartman drinks like a motherfucker at the 12th annual drunken barn dance where Cartman was supposedly conceived
Stan lets Cartman borrow his bike like a good friend
Garrison wanted to have a threesome with Chef and Cartman’s mom. I don’t know why I’m making a note of this but uh… yeah.
Cartman’s mom has had sex with everyone at this bar that Garrison’s drinking at, including principle Victoria, the mayor, Father Maxi, and Jesus (and maybe Kenny’s dad since he’s at the bar but the camera doesn’t pan to him when Garrison says they’ve all slept with Liane). Later Gerald Broflovski is a possible father to Eric, so he fucked her too. Also Mr. Mephesto and his friend Kevin, that little guy, are candidates along with a lot of other people, including the 1989 Denver Broncos (and Mr. Tenorman is included in that later)
Cartman doesn’t make fun of Kyle for being Jewish much at all in this season even though the Christmas episode is all about Kyle not celebrating
Clyde and Token appear very early on and Clyde has always been in the classroom (along with Bebe, Red, Kevin Stoley, Wendy, and Pip and uhh DogPoo too I think). Craig appears later in the season and Tweek’s not in season 1 at all, so Craig’s gang isn’t really a thing yet
And here’s a list of the ways Kenny died in this season. He dies in every episode except episode 9, and he dies twice in episodes 2 and 3. Altogether he dies 14 times
S01E01 Killed after alien shoots him, cows stampede over him, then cop runs him over which finally actually kills him
S01E02 Killed in a play by a falling teepee, then a second time shot by Garrison which sends him in the air and he gets impaled on a flagpole on the way down
S01E03 Killed by a volcano rock that burns him then rolls on him but he’s alive again in the end but gets shot by Ned’s gun that he drops and it accidentally goes off
S01E04 Gets his arms and head torn off in an American football game
S01E05 Stan’s clone punches Kenny into a microwave where he gets cooked alive
S01E06 Death touches Kenny
S01E07 Kenny gets crushed by a Russian space station and turns into a zombie because he gets Worcestershire sauce in his veins, then Kyle chainsaws zombie Kenny in half, then zombie Kenny rises from his grave and is crushed by a statue and a plane
S01E08 Kenny is killed by a bunch of turkeys. His eye gets plucked out. It’s dark blue
S01E10 After Kenny gets turned into a duck-billed platypus, Jimbo and Ned shoot him
S01E11 Ms. Ellen throws a sword through Kenny’s face
S01E12 While Mecha Streisand and a giant robot Leonard Maltin fight, Kenny plays with a tetherball and gets the rope wrapped around his neck and it strangles him
S01E13 Kenny gets stuck on a go kart and it drags him around but stops and he’s still alive! Too bad the go kart stops on train tracks and a train runs him over. Stan’s grandpa sends a video of the event to America’s Stupidest Home Videos and wins $10,000
If you read all that, first of all hello. I’m not new to the fandom even though this is the first thing I’ve posted on this tumblr blog. I’ve been writing a fanfic called Caffetamine though so I’m not a complete non-entity. Anyway, I’ll watch season 2 soon and post my notes on that too probably.

A Comparison of RTD and Steven Moffat: Saving The Day
So for this analysis I’m going to compare when Moffat and RTD save the day well and when they save it poorly. There are a few bits of criteria I need to explain.
First I will only be including main series, no Torchwood, no spin-offs, and no mini episodes.
Second, I have to define what makes a good and a bad ending (my examples will come from episodes written by neither of them):
Bad endings include when the sonic saves the day (see The Power Of Three) (there are exceptions, see below), when a character spouts some useless technobabble that doesn’t make any scientific sense/when it doesn’t make logical sense in general, when the Doctor invents/presents a machine/equipment that miraculously stops the baddy and is never referred to again (see Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS), and any other ending I deem to be bad (see The Vampires of Venice)
Good endings include when the sonice activates a device that has been well established to save the day, when technobabble is used that actually makes some scientific sense, and just generally when the baddy is destroyed in what I deem to be a creative manner that makes sense with all the things that had been set up in that episode (see The Unquiet Dead).
There will also be cases where there isn’t really a day to be saved, however this happens more often with Moffat.
Let us begin (obviously there will be spoilers but the last episode in the list aired nearly 4 years ago so what you doing with your life).
RTD:
Rose: Bad
What even is anti-plastic?! Like seriously, he’s faced the Autons loads of times and has never thought to use it any other time.
The End Of The World: Bad
The Doctor just goes up to the appearance of the repeated meme (ha meme) and rips its arm off. He then just summons Cassandra back by twisting a knob which apparently everyone can do if “you’re very clever like me”.
Aliens Of London/World War Three: Good
Just nuking them all was a bit dodgy but I’ll give it to him purely because it had been set up earlier in the episode and it is a genuine option that could have been taken.
The Long Game: Good
The heating issue was set up within 2 minutes of the episode starting. It’s always good to see the Doctor using his enemies weakness against them.
Boom Town: Good
Only just. It’s technology that hadn’t been showcased ever before and came out of nowhere, but I’m allowing purely because it was setting up The Parting Of The Ways.
Bad Wolf/The Parting Of The Ways: Good
See above. It was set up the story before so it works.
The Christmas Invasion: Bad
This was so close to being good. If RTD had just let the Sycorax leader be honourable then everything would have been fine. Instead he had to let him be dishonourable and then the Doctor through the Satsuma at a random button that for no apparent reason caused a bit of floor to fall away.
New Earth: Bad
It only makes sense if you think about it for less than 10 seconds as just pouring every cure to every disease ever into a giant tub and then spraying said supercure onto them all, then having them hug each other to pass it on. That is suspending my disbelief just a bit too far.
Tooth And Claw: Good
Everything is set up in the episode so I’ll allow it but I fail to see how Prince Albert had the time to ensure that the diamond was cut perfectly.
Love And Monsters: Bad
It’s Love And Monsters. Need I say more?
Army of Ghosts/Doomsday: Good
It was very clearly set up throughout the episode.
The Runaway Bride: Bad
I don’t like how a few bombs can supposedly drain the entire Thames.
Smith And Jones: Good
All the events were well established
Gridlock: Good
It’s a fairly bland way to save the day, just opening the surface to all the drivers. But how else could he have done it?
Utopia/The Sound Of Drums/Last Of The Time Lords: Bad
As much as I like the idea that he tuned himself into the archangel network, he basically turned into Jesus. It is arguably the least convincing ending in modern Doctor Who history.
Voyage Of The Damned: Bad
Why was he the next highest authority? If he’s the highest authority in the universe why didn’t they default to him in the first place? If not then why not default to Midshipman Frame? And if he’s somehow in between them then why? Also Astrid killed herself for no reason when she easily could have jumped out of the forklift.
Partners In Crime: Good
It works in the context of the episode, but I don’t see why they needed two of the necklace things.
Midnight: Good
It’s human nature, you can’t get more well set up than that.
Turn Left: Good
It works logically
The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End: Bad
Donna just spouts a load of technobabble whilst pressing buttons and then the Daleks are magically incapacitated.
The Next Doctor: Bad
Why do the infostamps sever Hartigan’s connection with the Cyberking? As far as I remember it ain’t explained.
Planet Of The Dead (co-written with noted transphobe Gareth Roberts): Good
A good couple scenes are dedicated on getting the anti-gravs set up.
The Waters Of Mars (co-written with Phil Ford): N/A
The day isn’t really saved cause everyone still dies anyway.
The End Of Time: Good
Using a gun to destroy a machine is much better than using the sonic to destroy it.
Summary for RTD:
Out of 24 stories written by him, I deem 10 to be bad endings with 1 abstaining. That’s 41.7% of his episodes (43.5% if we don’t count any abstaining).
Steven Moffat:
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances: Good
You’ll see this a lot with Moffat, he knows how to explain things without stupefying levels of technobabble. “Emailing the upgrade” is a perfect example of this.
The Girl In The Fireplace: Good
Some basic logic, the androids want to repair their ship, but they can’t return to it, they no longer have a function so they shut down.
Blink: Good
Always loved this one, getting the angels to look at each other, however they do look at each other sometimes earlier in the episode.
Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead: Bad
This is more of a problem with the setup of the episode, I don’t like that he can negotiate with the Vashta Nerada. I’d rather see them comprehensively beaten, but I guess it’s good for the scare factor that they can’t be escaped from.
The Eleventh Hour: Good
He convinced the best scientists all around the world to set every clock to 0 all in less than an hour. In the Doctor’s own words “Who da man!”
The Beast Below: Good
The crying child motif pretty much ended up saving the day (well for the star whale, life went on as normal for pretty much everyone else).
The Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone: Good
The artificial gravity had briefly been set up earlier so I’ll allow it.
The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang: Good
Everything had been set up perfectly, the vortex manipulator, the Pandorica’s survival field thingy, the TARDIS exploding at every moment in history.
A Christmas Carol: Good
Literally the entire episode is the Doctor saving the day by convincing Kazran not to be a cock.
The Impossible Astronaut/Day Of The Moon: Good
The silence’s ability to influence people is their whole thing, so using it against them is a good Doctory thing to do.
A Good Man Goes To War: N/A
The day isn’t really saved, Melody is lost, but River shows up at the end so is all fine? I love the episode it’s just the day isn’t really truly saved (yes I know Amy was rescued but she still lost her baby).
Let’s Kill Hitler: N/A
There isn’t really a day to be saved. They all get out alive but no one is really saved other than maybe River but we all knew she was gonna live anyway.
The Wedding Of River Song: Good
Whilst opinion is divided on the episode, the ending still works. the Tesseracta was established in Let’s Kill Hitler, and the “touch River and time will move again” was established well in advance.
The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe: Bad
I don’t like how the lifeboat travels through the time vortex for no reason but to rescue the dad. It don’t make no sense and I don’t think it’s explained
Asylum Of The Daleks: Good
Oswin had access to the Dalek hive mind so of course she should be able to link into the controls and blow everything up.
The Angels Take Manhattan: Good
Paradoxes really do be something powerful, and they even acknowledge how nobody knows if it’d work so I’ll let it slide.
The Snowmen: Bad
Lots of people cry at Christmas, why are the Latimers anything special?
The Bells of Saint John: Good
The whole episode is about hacking so why shouldn’t the Doctor be able to hack the spoonheads
The Name Of The Doctor: Good
It was the story arc for the season pretty much, so of course it was explained well in advance.
The Day Of The Doctor: Good
Both the storing Gallifrey like a painting and the making everyone forget if they’re Human or Zygon works in the context of the episode.
The Time Of The Doctor: Bad
Since when were the Time Lords so easily negotiated with?
Deep Breath: Good
I like the dilemma over whether the half-face man was pushed or jumped.
Into The Dalek: Good
It’s set up well with this new Doctor’s persona of actually not being too nice of a guy (at first).
Listen: N/A
There isn’t a day to be saved. It’s just 45 minutes of the Doctor testing a hypothesis and I low-key love it.
Time Heist (co-written with Steven Thompson): Good
It works logically so I’ll allow it however it isn’t very well set up at all.
The Caretaker (co-written with noted shithead Gareth Roberts): Good
The machine to tell the Blitzer what to do was set up well in advance so I’ll allow it.
Dark Water/Death In Heaven: Good
The fact that Danny still cares even as a cyberman is set up fairly early on after his transformation.
Last Christmas: Good
He does use the sonic to wake up Clara but he convinces the others to wake up through talking so I’ll allow it.
The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar: Good
It’s set up well with that little scene from actually inside the sewers.
The Girl Who Died (co-written with Jamie Mathieson): Good
IDK why the vikings would randomly keep electric eels but they’re set up well so I’ll ignore it.
The Zygon Inversion (co-written with Peter Harness): N/A
Not including this one as it’s only the second part and I’d argue the ending is most likely Harness’.
Heaven Sent/Hell Bent: N/A
Again there isn’t really a day to be saved, yes Heaven Sent really is amazing but it’s only the first part and, being completely honest, he dies several billion times before finally getting through the wall.
The Husbands Of River Song: N/A
Again there isn’t really a day to be saved here.
The Return Of Doctor Mysterio: Good
He gets Grant to catch the bomb which is good. But he does just sonic the gun out of Dr Sim’s hand and says UNIT is on its way which just sort of wraps it up very quickly.
The Pilot: N/A
No day to be saved here.
Extremis: Good
You could technically call it the sonic saving the day, I consider it to be the Doctor emailing the Doctor to warn him of the future.
The Pyramid At The End Of The World: Good
The fire sanitising everything makes sense and it’s in character for Bill to love the Doctor enough to cure his blindness in return for the world
World Enough And Time/The Doctor Falls: Good
Yes it is the sonic just blowing the cybermen up, but it’s blowing them up with well established pipelines so I’ll allow it (also the story is amazing).
Twice Upon A Time: N/A
No day to be saved here. Just Doctors 1 and 12 getting angsty about regenerating.
Summary for Steven Moffat:
Out of 39 stories written by him, I deemed 4 to be bad with 7 abstaining. That’s 10.3% of his episodes (12.5% if we don’t count any abstaining).
Conclusions:
Moffat was much better at saving the day than RTD
Moffat liked telling stories where the day didn’t actually need to be saved
I’ve spent way too long on this and I need to sleep
If I spent as much time on this as my coursework I’d probably pass
If you’re still reading this, you probably need to get a life

What are your top 5 Sansa moments?
In no particular order:
But when the septon climbed on high and called upon the gods to protect and defend their true and noble king, Sansa got to her feet. The aisles were jammed with people. She had to shoulder through while the septon called upon the Smith to lend strength to Joffrey's sword and shield, the Warrior to give him courage, the Father to defend him in his need. Let his sword break and his shield shatter, Sansa thought coldly as she shoved out through the doors, let his courage fail him and every man desert him. (ACOK, Sansa V)
I like this scene because it’s such a beautiful contrast to Sansa’s behavior earlier in this chapter. Even though she hopes Stannis would win she still wishes Tyrion well, despite him being mean to her Sansa hopes that Sandor finds peace, and she prays for the soldiers on both sides. This moment shows that there’s a limit to Sansa’s kindness. As much as I love and admire it when Sansa is merciful and kind, I also enjoy it, if not sometimes more, when Sansa is all unforgiving, vengeful, shows her anger, and unkind. It makes her more human and multifaceted. If only this fandom could accept she has such a side and still can be kind and a good person. Instead they condemn her and put her in the league of the worst criminals in ASOIAF.
"The night's first traitors," the queen said, "but not the last, I fear. Have Ser Ilyn see to them, and put their heads on pikes outside the stables as a warning." As they left, she turned to Sansa. "Another lesson you should learn, if you hope to sit beside my son. Be gentle on a night like this and you'll have treasons popping up all about you like mushrooms after a hard rain. The only way to keep your people loyal is to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy.""I will remember, Your Grace," said Sansa, though she had always heard that love was a surer route to the people's loyalty than fear. If I am ever a queen, I'll make them love me. (ACOK, Sansa VI)
There are no words to describe just how much I love this moment. Here we have Cersei trying to force her rather fucked up philosophy onto Sansa, and Sansa gives a beautiful and elegant no. It takes a special kind of bravery and inner strength to stand up to your beliefs while you face adversity. Sansa does this multiple times to both Cersei and Sandor Clegane and gives us several iconic quotes:
The silence went on and on, so long that she began to grow afraid once more, but she was afraid for him now, not for herself. She found his massive shoulder with her hand. "He was no true knight," she whispered to him. (AGOT, Sansa II)
and
There are gods, she told herself, and there are true knights too. All the stories can't be lies. (ACOK, Sansa IV)
Sansa is so delightfully stubborn and aggressive in her morals and beliefs in her ACOK chapters and more people should admire and appreciate her for that. Especially since she is doing this at the age of twelve. Adults twice and even trice her age in ASOIAF don’t have half the bravery and strength Sansa has. It’s moments like these that establish what kind of heroine Sansa Stark is.
As he moved behind her, Sansa felt a sharp tug on her skirt. He wants me to kneel, she realized, blushing. She was mortified. It was not supposed to be this way. She had dreamed of her wedding a thousand times, and always she had pictured how her betrothed would stand behind her tall and strong, sweep the cloak of his protection over her shoulders, and tenderly kiss her cheek as he leaned forward to fasten the clasp. She felt another tug at her skirt, more insistent. I won't. Why should I spare his feelings, when no one cares about mine?
I have loved this scene for a very long time and it’s not hard to love it. This scene is perfect. Here we have Sansa being forced into a marriage she doesn’t want and can’t refuse. This is a moment of defiance, a moment to show she doesn’t agree with this farce of a marriage. It’s a moment where she musters what little dignity she has left. The best part of it is that later in one of Tyrion’s chapters he ascribes this moment to her being a Stark and I love the very sound of that. Furthermore this is also a moment where Sansa’s kindness hits a limit, and like I said before, I love moments where Sansa isn’t nice.
Sansa went to Ser Lancel and knelt beside him. His wound was bleeding afresh where the queen had struck him. "Madness," he gasped. "Gods, the Imp was right, was right . . .""Help him," Sansa commanded two of the serving men. One just looked at her and ran, flagon and all. Other servants were leaving the hall as well, but she could not help that. Together, Sansa and the serving man got the wounded knight back on his feet. "Take him to Maester Frenken." Lancel was one of them, yet somehow she still could not bring herself to wish him dead. I am soft and weak and stupid, just as Joffrey says. I should be killing him, not helping him.
This is such beautiful example of Sansa being merciful and kind. She might not consider it a good thing because of the abuse she has been suffering, but there will be a time and moment where Sansa comes to realize there’s great power in being kind. That being merciful isn’t a bad thing. And I think Lancel could play a part of Sansa coming to that realization. Something tells me he will play a part in the annulment of her marriage.
It had frightened her then, and it frightened her now. “It is wider than it looks,” Mya was telling Lord Robert in a cheerful voice. “A yard across, and no more than eight yards long, that’s nothing.” “Nothing,” Robert said. His hand was shaking. Oh, no, Alayne thought. Please. Not here. Not now. ...  Alayne took Robert’s gloved hand in her own to stop his shaking. “Sweetrobin,” she said, “I’m scared. Hold my hand, and help me get across. I know you’re not afraid.” He looked at her, his pupils small dark pinpricks in eyes as big and white as eggs. “I’m not?” “Not you. You’re my winged knight, Ser Sweetrobin.” “The Winged Knight could fly,” Robert whispered. “Higher than the mountains.” She gave his hand a squeeze. ....  “Ser Sweetrobin,” Lord Robert said, and Alayne knew that she dare not wait for Mya to return. She helped the boy dismount, and hand in hand they walked out onto the bare stone saddle, their cloaks snapping and flapping behind them.
Several things happen in this chapter and I love everything about it. Little Robert was about to have an epilepsy attack but Sansa stopped that by grabbing to his hand and saying the right words for that moments. First of this shows that Sansa has very quick wits. If she was a moment too fast or slow both she and Sweetrobin would have fallen to their deaths.
Secondly this is such sweet moment between Sansa and Sweetrobin. I love their scenes in general, but this moment right here captures perfectly what Sansa has been trying to do for Little Robert in her AFFC chapters and the TWOW sample chapter. She’s helping him build his confidence and maturity so he can be a proper Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East. It’s also because of this why Sansa chose to give him sweet sleep earlier in this chapter. It was to preserve little Robert’s reputation as liege lord. It’s sad, but also expected, that this fandom chose to misconstrue Sansa’s motivations in regard to Sweetrobin.
Thirdly this scene right here is such a beautiful contrast to Catelyn in AGOT and, unlike Sansa, she didn’t have a small child who is prone to have epilepsy attacks along with her on the road. Now under no circumstances am I saying that Catelyn was weak in that moment, because we all know she isn’t. Catelyn is a source of strength for both Sansa and Arya. Catelyn has a lady’s strength, a woman’s bravery, and Sansa, who is very much her mother’s daughter, has shown multiple times in her chapters that she has both of these things. However this moment right here feels like a foreshadow. A promise that Sansa will give a whole new meaning to a lady’s strength and woman’s bravery in TWOW and ADOS.

GENEVIEVE ALIU —
IG info/bio: @/genevealiu1 | 19k followers | currently on a journey as a junior doctor living in 🇦🇺🤎 | blm.card.co🖤 | sk💛
26 years of age
Born and raised in Glastonbury, England
Pisces sun? + libra moon?
Mother is Guyanese and works for a non-profit organization
Her father is Nigerian and works in property management
has one older brother who is a Prosthetist and resides in Nigeria with his pregnant fiancée
She can’t wait to be a auntie!!!
And a younger sister who is a medical laboratory technician
To say the least, their parents were happy that their children fell into the medical field. Based on their cultures it was a honor to have their children in these professions
Vieve grew up with a sassy demeanor and her parents have old videos on their camcorders to prove it lol, it never fails that the pair brings out the embarrassing vids during the holidays but vieve genuinely appreciates them
Although thanksgiving is a RACIST American thing, vieve never misses the opportunity to share what she’s thankful for in life and counts all of it as blessings! But it’s still fuck the pilgrims
Has held a friendsgiving before, loves any moment where she can host gatherings or attend them! either is quite fine. She loves being around people
the only time she likes to look back on the past is to see how she and her family carried themselves then and how the evolved into who they are now, it’s interesting to see
Loves “how it started vs how it’s going” posts and might have participated in a few
Always knew from a young age that she wanted to help people in some way, she was always doing something to help around the house and especially her aging/sickly grandparents
Felt offended that many people around school that she thought were her friends would stab her in the back labeling her as this “fake saint” since she rather spend her time volunteering instead of going to house parties in hs
Don’t get it twisted, she still went to those too & had her fun but definitely felt like it was the same routine and nothing ever felt fulfilling at these functions after awhile
Well known with all the cliques around school but had her own group of friends that fit into many of those cliques but she never felt obligated to stick to one social group. If you were nice and cool with her, she was the same to you, if you weren’t? Depending on her mood, she’d ignore you/say things under her breath or be “fake nice” as a form of being the bigger person
Has a curly hair routine that she consistently follows (after struggling to find the right products to make them flourish) and gets annoyed with if her curls don’t turn out the way she knows they can, it’s always frustrating when things don’t turn out the way you want them to but isn’t afraid to at least try
Three times is the charm! Is one of her mottos
loves bright colors, flowy attire, big hats, brimmed hats, bucket hats, berets, etc...
Has faced racism/prejudices and bullying growing up in public spaces—mostly school/uni & some of those same hatred actions online now that she’s dating seb
Because of that there were times where she felt insecure but deff grew to forgive, heal, and rise above the hate, she knows her worth
Has never been happier in a relationship than she is with seb, he’s her “moody long-haired, soft-hearted bby”
they’re both complete fools for each other and vieve is more vocal about her being in love/finding her soulmate whereas seb doesn’t mind showing it rather than speaking it—even tho he’s on a podcast but we mind our business okay?!
Seb is thinking of moving to Australia with vieve, he’s ready to risk it all for this woman, HIS woman 🤩
canon: gives more than she should/taken advantage of/not reciprocating in relationships... ex) how she dated a guy that she did everything for! especially financially and also struggled to find her worth but once she did? Her aura shined brighter than before— Ik chill out there Rocco
Also believes in loving yourself first to attract what you need in this world and found that in her career and seb. I hope they’re endgame! Since they’re the only couple I rooted for this season? Except for tai & ciaran maybe? They’re probably not endgame but whatever
They still get nervous/shy around each other even tho they’ve been together for months now + are in a long distance relationship which is too cute! I think since they’re in this for the long game they can look back on moments and still feel the way they felt in that moment. You know if you get the chance or have already heard elderly people talk about their relationships and how they get all starry eyed? That’s vieve & seb, that shit gets me right in my feels ew
Vieve’s love language is quality time, it’s what she shows and likes along with acts of service from her partner
Makes the best jollof rice & her fav dish is Metemgee
Trying to be on a plant-based diet only but will have her cheat days on occasion—mostly when she’s drunk and forgets her diet plan lmao that’s me getting double cheeseburgers or anything with dairy drunk af
now living in Australia, she tried to like vegemite but...the it’s a no for her, respectfully ofc! She never wants to disrespect anyone
besides the food, the atmosphere is much nicer since she feels like she’s on a holiday almost everyday and that there’s much more to see and do when she has the time
Loves the beaches and is thinking about surfing lessons
yes she enjoys those doctor shows and can agree that most scenarios are not the same as rl ofc but great question!
Since she’s a junior doctor now, and on her way to graduation! She feels so accomplished and having this chance to complete what she’s wanted her whole life in a different place, makes her super emotional
All those stressful all-nighters will be worth it. She mostly did it on her own but is nothing but humble and Is thankful to those that have helped her along the way, what kind of person would she be if she didn’t mention them?
and when COVID hit, she was one of many already on the frontlines. Her studies became altered but this wouldn’t stop her for her mission on this earth, this was her purpose and she knew we would conquer it all—but definitely has empathy and gets angry with how it’s being handled from time to time
She’s been exposed to it first hand which aboustely worries her parents, seb, her friends, and friends from the villa
Keeps up to date when all medical news, has a whole app dedicated to health
Learning French with some of her free time and is doing well at it
It was only natural for her to become closer to elladine since their men are homies and have a podcast together
They’ve hung out a few times on a double dates before the boat vacation & once just as girls before vieve left to Australia
Vieve is always offering advice but knows that every relationship is different and what works for her and seb won’t work for elladine and Nicky, she loves them together and knows everyone has bumps in the road
feels there’s some sort of tension between her and Harry now? Which she found a little off putting since they were supposed to be friends but she realizes that Harry has a condition but it’s also not an excuse for him to treat her shitty sometimes which he does and feels like it comes out of nowhere most times but he always apologizes yet vieve is slowly getting tired of this unhealthy habits
So they’re talking less these days, which he notices!
She wants Harry to find his happiness too! If he hasn’t found it in mc first that is
has met Tim— he’s a great laugh and seems like a nice guy—they follow each other, talia and jake in person when she was out with seb—they were also super nice and congratulated them on their win, she went up to miles once on a night out—he’s still a arsehole, priya reached out to her via dm about her new boutique that she wanted her to model in someday, Hope was just as stunning in person along with Siobhan, Chelsea & mc s2 were also kind, and a couple of the guys also wished her and seb well
She’s also noticed some of the shit talking coming from Elisa, Allegra, Lucy, and mc s1 (subtle shade from mc, basically about how vieve reacted if mc decided to give Harry a go but that was only brought to her attention thru fans) online but again, vieve peeped it and felt majority of it didn’t require a response. She was too happy in life rn and she had a man and they don’t
Plans to get a komondor, thinks they’re super cute! — seb does not “if you love me, you’ll love our child.” “It’s a bloody mop dog! And I’m a cat dad, you know that!” “Don’t talk about him like that, he’s got feelings just like your cat babies!”
I feel like she’s a matcha & Frappuccino lover, tries to keep her drinks simple and feels guilty when she has to make adjustments but the heart wants what it wants
Mini Countryman owner, she also drives like a “granny” better safe than sorry! She hates fast drivers, there’s absolutely no need for it!
Minimal makeup: eyeshadow, moisturizer, & a nude lip and she’s good to go
Secretly obsessed with among us, second life, and SIMS!!!
Celeb crushes? Heath ledger, Tyler posey, KENDRICK SAMPSON, Jordan fisher, Algee smith, Donald Glover, Mack Wilds, Khleo Thomas, Robert Ri’chard, Tahj Mowry, & Hasan Minhaj
Listens to: DaniLeigh, ABIR, Mary J. Blige, TORI KELLY, Us the duo, 11:11, Jacob Latimore, fifth harmony, joya mooi, & Greentea Peng, etc...
Anthem: The Cheetah Girls — Cinderella

biography.
it’s only rly ever been gabe n his mom n the little new jersey suburbs that r always the same no matter where they go. they dn’t speak abt fathers or brothers or spain or anywhere other than the now, and how its constantly changing bt oddly the same.
his mom’s name is sonia n we love her. she worked a lot as a single mom n p much hs done everything on her own ever since leaving spain.
they dn’t talk abt spain bt we cn talk abt spain n hw sonia hd grown up partially there n partially in the states n hw she’d originally planned to live there forever bt the man she’d fallen in love with ws involved in some. high class dangerous shit n it ws safer fr them to part even if tht involved leaving everything she knew n loved <3
bt its like. ok. bc she hd gabe <3 n they dnt talk abt it so it practically nvr happened. n she tries her best as a mom n usually tht is enough.
they moved around a lot just bc sonia is a very. flighty person. anxious bt nvr seems tht way is just always. tense. gabe didnt think she ws capable of relaxing fr. a rly long time.
she wld commute 2 nyc every morning n after school gabe wld climb onto the train n by the time he got 2 her place of work she’d be just getting off n they’d get a slice of pizza n sometimes they’d go somewhere like central park or coney island (just fr the novelty) bt most of the time they just got back on the train home w/ gabe either doing homework or napping on her shoulder.
when gabe got a little older he’d sometimes skip school n take the train after sonia had already gone so he cld spend the day in nyc. he liked learning bt didnt rly like school. he nvr properly fit in bc of the amt of times they’d move so it felt like nowhere ws. right fr him.
got rly involved in. the punk scene as a young unsupervised teenager n tht led 2 a lot of like. shitty stick n pokes bt also a love of. very loud angry music n a sense of justice tht he held tightly in his fists. got mouthy towards bullies whether at school or in the scenes he involved himself in n started getting into a lot of fights bc of it.
during this, sonia ended up dating n marrying gabe’s stepdad who he calls craig sometimes bt i dnt think thats his name i wont lie to u guys. its partially a joke n partially purposeful disrespect bc gabriel does not trust a single man bt like. man. ‘craig’ is just an accountant. he’s fine he’s a good dude. they once bonded over like. the mets.
violence tw // anyways. when gabriel ws 16 he got into a super super bad fight tht ended rly. terribly n like listen. nobody died bt it ws just. it got blown up very out of proportion n gabe might’ve gotten expelled even tho he wsnt even the one who started it bt thts okay. ‘craig’, or paul, suggested tht maybe. a change of scenery wld b good fr gabe n b4 they knew it they were. moving to paul-robert’s hometown of irving, north carolina. violence end of tw //
he wld’ve complained more bt. fr sonia’s sake gabe kept it 2 himself. it made her happy 2 see them all get along anyways n like. idk he cld put forth tht little effort <3
bt honestly like. he didnt rly get into too many fights once they moved down here n even tho sometimes he ws like. ommgg. i hate this town .. its so washed up .. he still made friends n like. the only thing tht changed ws tht it ws a lil harder fr him 2 acquire illegal substances.
anyways. currently he hs a tattoo apprenticeship n is a professional piercer n like. he plays guitar n writes songs bt thts more of a hobby rn than anything else. mostly focused on paying his rent at port apartments bc as much as he. loves his mom he does not want 2 live with her forever <3 n thts okay!
personality & facts.
overall xtremely passionate person like god. feels emotions so intensely. every time he opens his mouth n talks abt an interest of theirs its just very like. u listen n ur like oh. gained 2 inspiration. thanks.
clings onto his friends p tightly bc he like. nvr rly stayed in one place fr super super long in new jersey so he nvr made very long term friends n now hes like. very clingy HLKDSHLKFSHLKDG also hates to b alone. subtle desperation behind interactions with ppl he rly wld like to be friends with.
like dnt get me wrong hes gotten into. sm fights bt thts mostly bc he cannot keep his mouth shut n he also cnt stand douchebags he like. always wants to tear them down prob bc he ws a victim of bullying. n u know what. we support him. otherwise he loves ppl bt esp if they hv similar interests 2 him.
like golden retriever who bites kind of. intensely loyal but at the same time is very skeptical. things tht good things do not last very long even though they’ve been doing already fr the last few years.
also bit of a nerd. they were nvr rly a big fan of school bt theres smth abt a good superhero comic tht draws their attention more than like. any english class evr. bt seven soldiers of victory? classic. big dc fan.
uh. very into like. hardcore music. hardcore rock. punk. if its loud n angry they r into it like so so much. hs sm tattoos is like. super covered in them its partially bc they work at a tattoo shop n partially bc they do not know hw to manage their money well.
ooohh u know what theyre. kinda moody i wont lie to u. very defensive like they dnt evr wna talk abt their past. has experienced Things n they do not wish to discuss them. will usually like. deflect frm conversations he doesnt wna hv.
in tune with nature. loves fkn taking walks. hangs out in the woods by abernathy creek n lilac ridge bc nobody rly goes there n its just. nice
tries not 2 take anything super seriously 2 the point where when he does take smth seriously its a little scary bc theyre super intense abt it. forcibly optimistic even tho on the inside he feels like a total pessimist. lots of. deep down insecurities tht he projects by attaching himself p firmly onto others. >.>
so so so energetic. can never stay still. always hs to be moving around. restless like tht. probably got it frm his mom. overly protective over the ppl he loves. probably got it frm his mom as well.

Album Review: 'Screen Violence' - CHVRCHES
Tumblr media
I’ve said it a lot over the years, but it bears repeating: I thought Love is Dead was awful. Most people did, in fact.
Working with super-producer Greg Kurstin, CHVRCHES’ 2018 album saw them go from sinister wordplay and cinematic soundscapes to repetitive hooks, vague platitudes and bland, Imagine Dragons-style EDM pop.
Needless to say, it didn’t go down well. In their attempt to appeal to mainstream audiences and Spotify algorithms, the Scottish trio had managed to disappoint critics and alienate longtime fans. Accusations of ‘selling out’ get thrown around all too often, but it really did feel like a betrayal of sorts.
And it only got worse from there, with the band collaborating with pop’s Kiss of Death, Marshmello, on the tepid ‘Here With Me’ (a decision they later came to regret).
Lauren Mayberry didn’t take kindly to the criticism, even accusing Stereogum’s Chris DeVille of supposedly using the record as a ‘symbol or scapegoat for something.’ What the frontwoman had a problem with is not entirely clear, though she seemed to chalk it up to politics, writing in a series of now-deleted tweets:
‘You can write a crappy album review and feel smart and what do I give a shit. But don’t minimise the ‘resistance’ as a comical joke/a stupid thing that you think is funny or smart because you are privileged enough to not actually have to think about it in real terms. It actually matters to people who live outside of you moment/life/world view, so shame on you. Maybe I live in my ‘inter personal comfort zone’ but at least I give a fucking shit. What can you say in exchange?’
DeVille’s take was, in my opinion, quite fair, even if he does admit that Love is Dead is ‘not a faceplant, but it’s definitely a stumble.’
Mayberry’s knee-jerk reaction, unfortunately, left a bitter taste in my mouth, impacting my already low opinion of Love is Dead. As I’ve also stated time and time again: What’s the point of responding to a negative review without looking petty as fuck? If you don’t want your art judge by the masses, then being an artist is probably not for you.
It’s also pretty rich of the band to try and make excuses for why everyone hated Love is Dead. No one made you produce a generic pop album. No one made you write and record a ‘tacky pop song’ with Marshmello. How could you not know that he’s a sleazy EDM bro, the rest of us did! Don’t take your shitty creative decisions out on everyone else – that's on you.
So, have CHVRCHES been able to rectify the damage on Album No.4? For the most part, yes.
Keeping production duties in-house this time around, Screen Violence combines the dystopian feel of their 2013 debut with the sleek gloss of later releases.
Written and produced through screens between LA and Glasgow in the early stages of the pandemic, the record explores the horrors that play out on screens via social media and how they translate into real-world feelings of fear, isolation and hopelessness.
On the ‘depressing but hopeful’ Asking for a Friend,’ Mayberry admits ‘'Cause I sunk some ships with selfish lips/And it all came back to me/I was terrified//I never told them why,’ riddled with self-loathing and regret. On ‘He Said She Said,’ she reckons with industry sexism and social contradictions, the track recalling the heady euphoria of the trio’s earlier singles.
‘Killing your idols is a chore/And it's such a fucking bore/'Cause I don't need them anymore,’ she asserts on the glistening ‘Good Girls,’ obliterating the pedestal that some male artists sit upon. Insecurity, however, gets the better of her on ‘Final Girl,’ wondering if she should just ‘quit, maybe go get married’ before she becomes yet another victim of the Hollywood machine.
Repetition is also employed a hell of a lot better than it was on Love is Dead. When Mayberry tells you she feels like she’s losing her mind on ‘He Said She Said, it’s like she’s in the grips of madness while trapped in a cybernetic void. Fear grips her by the throat on standout track ‘Violent Delights’ as she begs ‘I don't want to see it’ over and over again.
Screen Violence also lives up to its name music-wise, proving a lot darker and more foreboding than 2015’s Every Open Eye and even The Bones of What You Believe.
There’s jangling indie rock on ‘Violent Delights’ that give the track a foggy sense of nostalgia. On the menacing ‘Final Girl,’ they drive Mayberry’s sense of panic as she stares back in disbelief at a flickering screen, while the thumping New Wave angst of ‘Lullabies’ sees her vocals soar. Final track, ‘Better If You Don’t’ is almost straight-up grunge, evoking the feel of a rainy Glasgow morning.
And apparently ‘Nightmares’ was ‘too metal for German radio,’ suitably chilling as Mayberry asks: ‘What is it like to be the apple of your own eye?’ It could almost be mistaken for a Poppy track. Darkest, though, is ‘How Not to Drown’ with The Cure’s Robert Smith, their dissonant tones rising from the murky deep like a haunting spectre.
Screen Violence doesn't reinvent CHVRCHES, but it does help to reinvigorate them, even if the record feels a little samey at times. Some mediocre lyrics also manage to slip through the cracks, yet Mayberry’s commentary is overall cutting, brutal and sometimes tragic.
From trying to seem perfect on Love is Dead to realising things aren’t so fucking perfect after all, the trio discover that there’s ‘freedom in failure.’ Though they might never reach the dizzying heights of The Bones of What You Believe or even Every Open Eye again, CHVRCHES have found a groove that works for now just as the world finds itself in the grips of an ongoing nightmare.
Hopefully they’ll be able to sustain this momentum in the long run...

I clicked on your "Love language" band of brothers post and almost passed out with inexplicable emotions... don't know if you've done one for the Pacific, could you do that + including Daniel Jackson?
right, so it took me genuinely forever to write these up, because there were a lot of boys here...  and in the meantime, i answered this ask about the pacific characters falling in love which turned out super similar.  give that one a look for more gushy romantic content!  i also included all the spr boys, because just doing jackson felt...  lonely, idk.  anyways here’s wonderwall
The Pacific
John Basilone: Acts of service. John’s the sort of guy who needs to be needed by his loved ones. He gets restless whenever he starts to feel stagnant, so always having something to do  ---  especially if he’s doing it for others  ---  keeps life interesting. Sometimes, John does favors for his partner before they even realize the favors needed doing. No, they didn’t notice the sink was leaky, but it’s great that it no longer is now; no, they didn’t see their mailbox get blown away by last night’s storm, but this brand new one is certainly nice...  it can get a bit overbearing if he doesn’t have much else to do. John’s good at focusing all his energy into things, which is frankly why he needs hobbies. Just take up couple’s yoga or rock climbing, he’ll love it. (Yes, Quality Time is also one of his love languages.) Robert Leckie: Words of affirmation. How cliche can Writer Man get? Very, and he only gets worse from here. Honestly, though, Bob is always verbal about his affections. He likes putting things into words, is the thing  ---  it’s how he makes sense of his own emotions as they run through his head. He speaks in metaphors and poetic phrasing, romanticizing emotions that aren’t always gentle...  but when he loves someone, his partner gets to hear about it. His friends get to hear about it. His neighborhood mailman gets to hear about it. This man cannot, and will not, hold back. Giving gifts might also count as a secondary love language, because he particularly enjoys showering his partner with surprises  ---  like a sonnet he wrote himself, a piece of jewelry he thought they’d like, or dinner reservations at their favorite restaurant together. He just...  loves seeing the surprise on their face. Eugene Sledge: Quality time. Eugene is a simple man who prefers a quiet life  ---  he really doesn’t need much. Spending time around someone is good enough for him. As an introvert, he values a partner who he can share space with, without feeling weighed down; when Eugene is close to someone, he ceases to be drained by their presence, even sometimes recharged just by being around them. His love language is calm and quiet, each partner doing their own thing in the same room, utterly content. If he gets to share things with his partner, like interesting books or sketches of birds he’s done...  well, that’s even better.
Chuckler Juergens: Physical affection / Acts of Service. Like...  Chuckler has a dozen ways of showing affection, and is very open about it. He doesn’t hold back in any way; physical affection comes easiest to him, being an enthusiastic tree of a man, so he’s more than willing to hug and even lift people off their feet under the right circumstances. He enjoys touch; he loves receiving touch, and it makes him feel most loved. It’s hard to call that his primary love language, though, when that’s not really how he gives affection. Chuckler’s care is made obvious through his instinctual doting, the way he gives to his loved ones constantly without the expectation of recieving anything in return. He looks after them...  but to be looked after in return isn’t something he’d know what to do with. He’s at his happiest being hugged by a partner as they stroll through a rainstorm, while he holds an umbrella over their head  ---  the best of both worlds for him. Runner Conley:  Literally a mess. He doesn’t have a love language, he just bounces back and forth with a little bit of everything. Look, he got them something cool at the store, because it’s a funny shade of purple that reminded him of them! Look, his favorite movie’s playing, let’s watch it together! Look, their sink pipes are making a weird noise, he can totally fix them! (No, he cannot, but he did pay the plumber who cleaned up his mess generously.)  One of those people who genuinely don’t have a love language, because they’re a little bit of everything. A relationship means figuring out what your partner needs in real time. Runner just rolls with the punches. Hoosier Smith: Quality time.  Hoosier is very particular about who he spends his time with; the sheer act of accepting someone into his space means he cares about them. He betrays his affection for his partner in fond smiles and tiny gestures, like sharing a blanket or offering a bit of the food he’s eating (!! generous hoosier spotted in the wild!).  Should he actively seek out his partner’s company, it’s a revelation for everyone involved  ---  there’s no surer sign that Hoosier’s truly in love. Sid Phillips: Physical affection. While Sid is absolutely a gentleman in love, he’s also a very physically demonstrative lover, and enjoys physical affection in return. He can get a bit clingy at times, just because he enjoys being close to them. Tucking his arm around their shoulders or feeling their body against his side comforts him; he needs physical touch to be assured that they’re still there. Nothing makes him feel more loved than when his partner dotes on him, cupping his face and peppering kisses over his brow. He’ll turn bright red, but won’t be able to keep the grin off his face, which makes it all worth it. RV Burgin: Acts of service / Words of affirmation. Burgie’s a generous lover in every sense of the word. His instinct is to give  ---  after all, what better way could there be to show someone he cares for them? While not shy about his verbal praise, and he certainly grows more confident in speaking his feelings aloud over time, Burgie’s willingness to help his partner with anything  --  even things he knows nothing about, like fixing a car or shopping for a new toaster  ---  shows exactly how devoted he is. He’ll rearrange all his day plans just because someone he cares about needs something. Jay De L'Eau:  Quality time. Literally he just wants to be around his partner  ---  he enjoys it so much, and is so happy just to be with them. Yes, this means he occasionally gets dragged into things he’s got no interest doing. Does he really want to be involved with brunch? Did he needs to volunteer at an animal shelter for six hours? No, but it meant spending more time around his partner, and getting to know them more, so it’s worth it. He doesn’t ask for the same in return, but a partner who took interest in his interests would absolutely delight him  ---  he’d feel so loved. Bill Leyden: Acts of service. As mentioned in the previous headcanons, he’s...  such a nice person when he’s in love that it’s weird. He won’t just do favors for his partner  ---  he’ll do them for his friends, without being asked, and without bitching about it once. Usually, he’s doing these favors while his partner is around to witness it. (Wow, look what a great person he is! What a generous friend! What husband material!) Bill knows what’s up. He’s doing fine.   Snafu Shelton: Giving gifts. Are they gifts any sane person would necessarily want? Not really. How’d he get into their house to leave a doll made of sticks on their pillow? Who the hell knows? Is it a threat? Possibly. He just... he doesn’t really know how to go about it any other way, so he gives things. They’re not expensive things, cause damn him if he’s got money to burn...  but if he were to splurge on anyone, it would be on his partner. If he spots something he knows they’ll like on the store shelves, or just something that reminds him of them...  hell, he might even save up for it. Just for them   ---  nobody else in the world. Andy Haldane: Quality time. He really adapts to the other person, trying to figure out what they need/want the most. Andy can perform of the five love languages well, and it’ll mean the most coming from him...  but he’s most comfortable just spending time around his partner. That’s all he needs. Intimacy, emotional and physical, is so important to him...  being able to have a companion who he can share space and thoughts with makes all the difference. He wants a confidante. He wants someone to share with  ---  not his thoughts, all the time, but everything he loves the most about life.  If they can find moments to simply revel in each others’ shared company, Andy’s a happy man. Hillbilly Jones: Acts of service. Devotion is Hillbilly’s greatest virtue; when he’s in love with someone, they become priority, and he’ll have their back through anything. This includes doing anything for them. Not little things, like tying their damn shoes, because a body has to be able to stand on their own  (and frankly, Hillbilly loves a partner who can look after themselves)...  but big things. If he knows something is stressing them out, he’ll try to take care of it behind the scenes to make their life easier. He wants to manage problems before they become problems, just to keep them off his partner’s plate...  but the quietest gestures, like the plate of breakfast he puts together in the morning or the massage he offers after a long day, speak the loudest for how he truly feels.
Saving Private Ryan
John Miller: Words of affirmation. He understands keenly the value of words, and what impact the right ones can have. John is never careless with what he says; he always means them, and expects those around him to mean them too. When he says he loves someone, there’s no room for interpretation: he loves them. He’s best with verbal interaction, values communication in a relationship, and will often hold onto a fond word said by his partner weeks  ---  even months  ---  after it leaves their lips. John’s got an elephant’s memory for words, and each one has meaning to him.
Mike Horvath: Acts of service. Of course, Mike’s more than willing to tell people what he’s thinking outright, but to him, caring for someone is more about what’s done than said. He’s an action guy. Being able to help someone he loves in any way  ---  whether it’s fixing a leaky sink, pushing a broken down car, or getting them take-out when they don’t feel like making dinner  ---  means enough in the long run. He doesn’t make a big deal about it, but Mike’s a reliable presence; when he cares for someone, he’s always there when they need him, ready to help.
Stanley Mellish: Words of affirmation. Just because he’s a loudmouth doesn’t mean he doesn’t care; Stan shows his affection through teasing and remarks that are half-straightforward. It’s hard to tell when he really means it sometimes, but he’s not shy about talking to his partner. What he thinks, what he wants, what he loves...  they all come out eventually, in a trickle or a flood. Stan’s feelings only grow stronger when they’re spoken out loud. He’s not a big fan of vulnerability, even alone with the person he loves, but sometimes he says something without a single ounce of sarcasm  ---  confessions of love and admiration so blunt, so devastatingly sincere, that there’s no doubt he means it.
Adrian Caparzo: Physical affection. With big body comes big responsibility, and Caparzo’s happy to rise to the task. It helps that he grew up in a big, loud family, where the go-to means of affection was smacking and tackling each other. Physical affection is the best way he knows how to show affection. Yes, he’s a hugger. Yes, he sometimes lifts people up. (Yes, he’s lifted Mellish a few times, but it was an accident, and Mellish doesn’t like to bring it up.)  Honestly, he can be a little careless with it, too free with physical contact at times...  but nothing makes him feel more reassured than having another body near him, available to hug or seek comfort from if needed.
Irwin Wade: Quality time. Wade doesn’t demand much in a relationship, but he also doesn’t impose. He’s got a naturally mellow presence   ---  “calming”, some people have said, and he’s not sure how he feels about that  ---  but while he wouldn’t mind being caught up in the bustle of a louder partner, he’s just as happy spending a night in. Just enjoying time with them, relishing the quiet moments when both of their guards are down and they’re at their most natural...  those moments are precious to him. He feels like he learns more about his partner then than any other time.
Daniel Jackson: Acts of service. Jackson doesn’t need lots of words to tell someone how he feels  ---  and frankly, if he can show it without words, he will. He was raised to believe a man’s words ain’t worth much if he can’t back them up with action, and that’s exactly what he does. Lord knows, Jackson would never tell someone he loves them if he couldn’t show it in twenty different ways. Doing things for them makes him feel useful, gives him a rush of pride whenever they smile at him; he might not be able to afford fancy gifts, but he can do chores to make their life a little easier, massage their sore muscles after a long day, cook breakfast and run errands when they need it.
Richard Reiben: Words of affirmation. Local Man Does Not Know How To Shut The Hell Up. He’s really good at talking, even if he’s not saying anything at all  ---  it’s a talent. Expecting Rich to shut up is like expecting a frog to grow wings. When he feels something strongly, he’s learned to say it loudly. Full disclosure, he’s not the best with feelings, and being sentimental out loud makes him feel like an idiot, so no eloquent declarations of eternal love here...  but he’ll think of two dozen ways to say it in the meantime, like “those pants are working wonders on you” or “your presentation’s gonna be better than all the rest of ‘em”, or “no one does that better than you”. His partner doesn’t have to dig too deep for hidden meanings to realize he’s actually saying “I love you”.
Timothy Upham: Giving gifts. Don’t get me wrong, he’s read love poetry in half a dozen languages, and even enjoyed some of it...  but ultimately, Tim is better at giving words, rather than saying them. He’s thoughtful, noticing what authors they like to read, what their favorite genres are, favorite topics of conversation... picking out books is like a game to him, and he’s got a talent for finding what other people will enjoy.  He likes to surprise his partner, presenting a fresh volume somewhat nervously, rambling about exactly why he picked it until they take mercy and interrupt him. Sometimes it’s fiction; sometimes, it’s learning hobbies; sometimes it’s little volumes of philosophy or poetry that remind him of his partner...  he’s even written his own poems, once or twice, though his face was so red when he gave it to them that they almost thought he needed medical attention.
James Ryan: Acts of service. He can be overeager at times, but gosh, does this boy mean well. It’s most important to James to show how much he cares for people; he loves spending time with them  (ideally showing them his hobbies or going on “adventures”, which might involve a spontaneous hike or going to a diner at 3am) but more than anything, he loves doing things for them. He’s eager to. Throw him a bone  ---  or a task to do  ---  and he’ll jump on them. It gives him a sense of purpose, and the earnest feeling that he’s giving back to his partner all the love they show him.

More goth stuff featuring punk!heather. Steve is simply a man who thirsts Over a goth man in a skirt <3
Okay so goth Billy owns this shop with heather, who is a riot grrrl punk. Billy dresses more tradgoth, but delves into mall goth sometimes. His specialty is skirts. He likes long maxi skirts but also loves short Tripp skirts or just regular short skirts. All of them are black. Billy lives in black. Heather and him alternate on who plays the music. Heather usually plays bikini kill and brat mobile while Billy plays type o negative and the cure. Billy has the fattest crush on Peter Steele, while heather loves Kathleen Hannah. Heather makes different sweets since the shop is also a bakery, and they have soda on tap for customers for a dollar.
Everything is well.
Billy wears outrageous loud makeup. His specialty is dark blue, purple, dark red, and black. All of his looks are a mix of the colors. They go very well with whatever he’s wearing. He wears black lipstick and teases his hair when he feels like it. He swears that Robert smith is god.
Steve comes in one day. Tommy tells him it’s just a bakery. Steve walks in and is hit with the bakery smell and walks over to the little counter. He buys a cupcake and talks with heather a bit. Heathers already got this guy figured out. She knows Billy *has* to see him. ‘Go shop around Steve. My associate would love to see you’ she says and sends Steve down into the store.
Steve looks around. There’s a lot of alternative stuff. He sees band shirts, chains of all sizes, skirts and pants galore. He realizes that he does not fit in at all here. But heather didn’t seem to mind at all. So he stayed. He made his way to the back and is looking at a batch of patches when he feels a tap.
“You’re Steve? Heather said I had to see you.” Steve turns around and a few things happen. Steve looks over at the man, and he gets a mix of emotions. He feels like he’s gonna vomit from nerves, his stomach fills with butterflies. He blushes hard, his hands go sweaty. He has to check to make sure he didn’t get fucking hard.
“Hello? Billy to Steve.” Billy Just chuckles. Steve can’t think. Billy looks amazing. He’s got this grand makeup across his face. His eyeshadow is dark blue in the light. He’s wearing black lipstick. He’s fucking *gorgeous*. He’s got this choker on with a big ring in the front and safety pins hooked to the smaller rings around it. He’s wearing a fishnet shirt under the black latex crop top he’s wearing. He’s got this long black skirt on and huge platform boots peaking from below the skirt. He’s fucking *ripped*. He doesn’t think he can fucking talk when he looks at him.
“You’re pretty fucking cute baby. Want a soda? It’s on the house.” He winks and grabs a cup, handing it over to Steve. Steve doesn’t know if he can even grab it from him. He musters up the courage and grabs it.
“I-I’m Billy...i mean! No! You’re Billy- I-I’m Steve! Steve Harrington!” Steve blurts out way too fast. Billy snorts as he grabs the cup back, grabbing a pen. He’s writing on the cup and Steve checks to make sure he really hasn’t popped a boner. He hasn’t. But he feels like he might if Billy calls him baby again. Billy hands back the cup and written is a phone number.
“You’re pretty cute babe. Call me yeah?” He says and winks. Steve nods fast as he looks at him, his eyes wide as he blushes.
Billy finds this little prep so cute, he has to have him. He seems like he’s into him, so Billy flirts a bit. What’s so bad about making Steve flustered? His cheeks look cute when they’re red.
