It’s the final episode of Blue Night before it goes off air. The hosts Okdal, who were weekly guests during Jonghyun’s stint as the host, played SHINee’s “Ode to You” going into the third part of the show.

Generation Loss being a tv show makes so much on a meta level. Like remember how Ranboo said there’s a reason why it’s streamed on his twitch channel, and how we all thought it was because he was secretly broadcasting it? That was disproven quickly with Showfall Media publicly promoting the viewpoint and the existence of Squiggles on the broadcast.

So let’s look at the the episodes through the lens of a tv broadcast instead of a twitch stream. It becomes clear why Ranboo always gets himself into these wacky situations and miraculously survives till the end unlike his friends. Ranboo is the main character. Ranboo is the protagonist.

Compare them to another tv protagonist, like Ted Lasso. Sure other characters contribute to the story of each episode, but we as a viewer always follow the main character’s highs and lows, successes and failures, rights and wrongs. They are how the plot moves forward and conflict is created and dissolved. There’s a reason why we don’t see Sneeg’s escape attempt, Ethan Austin and Vinny being freed from the machine, Jerma’s demise; because it doesn’t matter. We don’t care. Showfall doesn’t want us to care.

Our viewpoint is Ranboolive. Who cares if a couple side characters die when the main character is about to solve the next puzzle. He is what keeps the show running, an essential cog in this beautiful machine. He will keep this broadcast rolling whether they like it or not.

Makes you wonder how many other “viewpoints” there are. Are they similar television channels, different people, sets, situations all at the press of a button? Is Showfall Media just beginning of interactive experience entertainment or is it one of hundreds of other programs following the same protocols, each baring a long list of missing persons cases that have yet to be solved? Who really was the “Founder?”

I guess we have to wait and see…

I would pay an honestly absurd amount of money to see one of Eddie’s friends that Chris knows & likes (whether that’s Tommy since everybody wants him to be an MC, or a good friend from the army or Texas) come over & hang around them, and for Chris to be excited & greet them like, “Uncle Tommy!” (Or whether their name is.)

Especially if Buck is there & gets worried like, “he’s never called me Uncle, am I not as important to this kid as I thought I was?”

Force them both to really look at the role Buck plays in Christopher’s life vs how the rest of their friends act/treat Chris, bc even if Buddie doesn’t get together, I’d love to see it acknowledged canonically just how fatherly Buck acts with Chris.

(Obviously in my dream world & in the fic I’ll probably write, this will be what kickstarts Buck & Eddie figuring their shit out and getting together but that’s just me)

I feel like what hurts me most about Sparrow being all “I’m not proud of you” isn’t that he said it, cause I could already kinda guess that from the first scene.

It’s just that normal doesn’t seem to have had any inclination of it prior. Like, to him that’s just his dad being his dad. Not his dad trying to nudge him into being more normal.

And that’s exactly why Normal believes his dad hates him (at least in my mind). Cause as humans we are built to remember the bad as a way of survival, and normal probably can only think about the times he’s seen his dad cringe and how he’s so stupid for just thinking his dad was worried (even if he was worried and not in fact cringing.) like every memory gets corrupted with this new realization. When Teeny won the mascot contest was your dad actually smiling at how happy you were or was he just avoiding a scene, Did he actually enjoy watching those anime movies with you and hero when you were little or are you misremembering, was your uncle trying to warn you that you shouldn’t trust when your dad says he loves you, and so on and so on.

People who’ve experienced SA should not be invalidated if they’ve developed hyper/hypo sexuality because of it.

SA victims should not be called liars, they should not be told it was their fault.

SA or hyper sexuality should not be romanticized. It’s not okay. It’s not fun, and I don’t know why the fuck you would want it.

nobody is too young for it, nor too old to experience it.

Lloyd’s “ninja never quit” vs Morro’s “you can’t save those who don’t want to be saved”

Lloyd was taught to never give up on someone no matter how far gone they might seem, his primary examples of this is himself and Garmadon (this is probably explains a lot about his relationship with Harumi). He tries to never lose hope, never to stop being a hero, and for the most part, that mindset has helped him get through his darkest hours, helped him not give up on his life when it got hard.

Morro on the other hand, in true character foil fashion, shows us just how that same mindset can be harmful at the same time. Morro wanted to be the green ninja, and he never gave up on that ambition, he never quit and he died for it. In Wu’s explanation of Morro, Wu sums him up with a striking phrase “I cannot teach those who do not want to be taught”, in relation to Wu giving up on Morro’s training. At the end of the season Morro repeats those back at Wu, telling him to give him up and let Morro dissipate in the water. Morro’s quote isn’t to point out that Wu should’ve saved him, the opposite, that sometimes you can’t save people from themselves, and you can’t always force your way into things.

The tomb of the fsm has a riddle where the answer is “Something a ninja can’t do”. The answer is quit, and maybe the whole purpose of that puzzle is to show that there’s merit to both maintaining and breaking that rule. There’s a time to stand up and a time to stand down. There isn’t one moral code to live by, and there isn’t a singular answer to every problem.
