Watching Heroes: Rising

For the first time and I just- HNG

So many feelings!

Late night bkdk rivalry

Izuku holding Katsuki back from going berserk on Mahoro and Katsuma

Izuku yanking the phone from Katsuki (and Katsuki basically just lets him)

Katsuki really taking the Save To Win part to heart once more during the fight against Mummy

Mahoro's Deku illusion was a sweet comedic break

Of course it's Katsuki coming to save Izuku

Of course Izuku's power gets a small boost as soon as Katsuki is at a disadvantage

I was in physical pain watching them lose though

1-A my beloved providing the necessities for the island's inhabitants

Win To Save, Save To Win flashback (on that note I love Toshinori's scrawny real-form, he really be the scary-looking neighbor that comes over on a random rainy Sunday to share some fresh tea and self-baked cookies)

Bkdk looking like Mahoro and Katsuma's parents

The animation of Ochako's gag reflex was actually pretty good, and strangely aesthetically pleasing

On a side note, there was another scene where Fumikage had his cloak draped more on his back so his forearms were visible. Yeah, those forearms deserve a post of their own

Oh right then the best part

THE EX-CATAPULT

Look, they instinctively reached out for one another, didn't hesitate to grab each other's hands and it's overall such a powerful and fantastic move

Kiri and Shoto randomly remembering Kamino, please these kids have been through enough

Did Shoto kill that guy?

Mezo deserves an appreciation post of its own

I love when our Wonder Duo is in action like this, blindly trusting each other

Also the Deku Thighs are in action

Btw also love the parallels between Izuku and Katsuma, and Katsuki and Mahoro. Little cry babies willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good, and little brats only loyal to their one goal and one person

They're winning but that island is taking a lot of damage

THIS IS WHEN KATSUKI GETS ONE FOR ALL?!

Okay but the feels for all of that alone are too much

How am I supposed to handle this

But can handle Hawks saving his Bird Bestie, thanks Hawks

Papa Toshinori is someone I crave in my life

Papa Endeavour is strangely emotional and I live for Shoto's reaction to it

Deku really barely left middle school and already got a bunch of kids idolizing him

I don't know how to end this, I finished the movie, it's way too late to get a healthy amount of sleep tonight, my brain is a bit overwhelmed

I think I’m gonna make this a whole post in case people didn’t see my reply, but this is the pace we’re going this season:

If we keep going like this, Bakugo’s sacrifice should be around episode 9, Deku’s Vigilante Arc around episode 16… and Bakugo’s apology around episode 22.

Also Tsuyu’s key visual for this season was the color page for chapter 320

and Bakugo’s apology is chapter 322.

#so again unless they change the pace……….#*comically loud nervous gulp*#season 4 and 5 adapted almost 70 chapters so looks like season 6’s on track to do the same #even if they add a couple filler episodes it can still fit… WHICH IS A WHOLE OTHER THING… how are filler episodes gonna work in this WAR 😭#if anything we deserve a whole recap episode for everything that has happened between bkdk #BUT ALSO even if they do manage to slow down and do 2-3 chapters per episode we’ll still get a majority of Deku’s vigilante arc #they have 3 options: 1) slow down immensely so the season ends before the vigilante arc (even though the pacing so far feels fine)#2) have the season end in the middle of Deku’s vigilante arc (which would feel off…)#or 3) keep going at this pace and get through the vigilante arc and Bakugo’s apology 😭#bkdk #dkbk #bakudeku #dekubaku #:’)

Streams and School #10

I keep forgetting to post these so here's a summary of my last 10 days:

I've watched about half of Scar and Ethos series as well as Grian, Joel, Gem, HC recap and both of Pearls new vids (and streams). I've watched a bunch of Acheeto, Willymacshow, Think Before You Sleep, Destiny, Jacksfilms, The3Birdman and The Mythology Guy's videos. I'm hyperfixating on Encanto/Spanish/Hispanic stuff so I've watched a bunch of Encanto, Spiderverse and Everything Everywhere All At Once (unrelated to hyperfix but I love this movie sooo) reaction videos. I've also watched a bunch of Encanto compilations and animatics as well as Jessica Y. Flores Encanto videos. I also watched some Sensitive Society, Cudlil, Scribblejuice, Evil Anvil (and reactions to them) videos.

Unrelated but todays my last day of school before a few weeks holidays which is really exciting!! Idk if I'll write some of these then or nah, we'll see.

OH MY GOD A YEAR AGO TODAY .

#thats literally insane what do you mean that crazy day was last year. oh boy ok hastily thought up recap thought time #what that day included:#stupidly going out into july in los angeles heat that morning in jeans and a long sleeve black shirt #in that state of extreme sweatiness: meeting john l of tmbg fame. who id be seeing in concert that exact night #an insane story i have told before but nonetheless incredibly bonkers #later that day when i went out again i (also stupidly) wore sandals that cut up the back of my heels #i toughed it out later and put socks on and the russell brand of cdg high tops on and danced at the concert anyway #wore a full gold glitter suit. was still worried about being unnoticeable #i was too scareddddddd to talk to christi who i saw hanging around before the show which i regret #the best part of the concert and that trip to california was seeing it with my best friend who i finally met in person for that trip #he was dressed as ron and i of course was russ in the glitter suit. my hair did not turn out as magically russ as desired #what else. i was too ough before the concert to eat my combination lunch dinner of panda express something #but i did get overpriced fancy crackers and rosé at the hbowl which was my sparks dinner #ok now let me get to the show itself. i did a review the night of but lets see if there are any details i forgot that i can remember now #like right at the beginning of so may we start there was the audible sound of a glass breaking so awesome. someone was ready to get down #russell getting choked up talking abt their mom taking them to the hollywood bowl as kids i haven't stopped crying #oh yeah all the stupid people in the pool circle (front seats) who didn't care about seeing sparks. youre all going to hell #especially the people that left before the show ended #russell achieved some maximum awooga levels but i may have been picking up on those especially because of the rosé #russell saying to the audience in between singing all that how beautiful it looked with everyone turning the light on their phones #another thing i havent stopped crying over #also got a fun bootleg shirt specific to that show when walking back to the hotel. thank you slightly sketchy guy #that whole night and everything was bonkers insane and wonderful can i Please relive it now. please #like literally this time last year adjusting for time zone i was uhhhhh. probably injuring myself in those stupid sandals #and id do it again! well maybe not but id relive that day again #ok anyway. one year huh

Some day ASW is going to release a piece of Guilty Gear media that REALLY goes into depth on Gears/Gear cells and I'm gonna translate it in record time. I NEED to know, Daisuke, the secrets of your interdimensional beasts

#textpost #The GG wiki page on Gears was one of the first ones I read because I wanted to know wtf the series' title meant #and it was so ridiculous I was just like 'Oh I have GOT to know EVERYTHING now'#Now that GG's so big here in the west I wonder if future media releases like books will have official English translations #Begin had a Korean one (rare as shit but it exists) though that was published a bit before Strive came out #The official recap comics had an official English translation though and they've been expanding their non-JP stuff #Like the new ASW store that launched earlier this year for America #Definitely an interesting time to be a Guilty Gear fan #I wasn't here for the really old stuff but you don't have to have been to see how small it was before #Still thinking about the peak player stats for Rev2 compared to Strive on Steam...#Something like 800 players peak for Rev2 while Strive's was 30.000 (!!)#For comparison iirc Tekken 6's peak was like 18.000 #It's a no wonder the Strive servers are constantly down hahaha There was no way they could ever have anticipated this

i think part of me is alwasy gonna be an 11 year old really mad that the art style changed in fairy tail every time i get reminded of it... i rewatched about 1.65/2 of the show a few months ago to reanalyze it with my adult brain and it was so noticeable. these are supposed to be scenes taking place at the same location with the same vibe

#mine #like before they had these really nice painted backgrounds shaded with desaturated blue #then they had like. everything is so gradiented and gray and overrendered its hard to find the focus point and it all looks the same #also like 7 minutes of each episode was dedicated to recapping the previous episode #also the misogyny and how every design became nauseatingly oversexualized (even more than before)#hence why i watched only 1.65/2...#i will always have fondness for the version of the show i had in my head as an 11 year old. but it has many flaws

Therapy is going to be so hard until I learn how to be less avoidant. I'm never going to get to the talking about my SA shit if I keep going into therapy with stupid happy brain. Yeayeayea whatever "I'm so capable of so many things and my life is going well" shut up we have problems though. (Said truly like someone who switched in as therapy was ending but needs it the most)

when a player who hasn’t been around for like. a YEAR. starts inserting himself into situations he knows literally nothing about and has no connection to in-character 🥴
