This whole thing kind of accidentally exposes an issue that Solarpunk shares with all the other *punk pseudo-genres that arent' Cyberpunk in that it has no narrative conceits or stories behind it. You either are making cyberpunk with a different aesthetic, or... what? What is a solarpunk story? What plot elements do solarpunk narratives focus on? What messages and ideas is solarpunk built upon? I guess you could write utopian fiction in the genre, but that conceit has always been fraught and more associated with philosophy than anything.
