Chemtrails - More Corporate Deflection onto Climate Science?
This could be a revelation. What about if fact checkers are to censor, silence or shadow ban speculation about hidden agendas and corporate activity, which we end up believing is about climate research?
Since the clear blue skies during lockdown, I’ve seen many people posting a “tippex sky” (Sonia Poulton) of aeroplane trails criss-crossing the skies. In my mind, any true story creates a complete picture with its components fitting together like a puzzle. How do we gather information? It becomes difficult when facts are drowned out by the din of everyone’s opinions. These tended to be stated…

The only Narrator I've been questioning over is Jorgen. You're narration clearly leans into the unreliable territory- especially when a certain changeling is on scrteen
Tumblr media
Unlike myself, any unreliable narration from Jorgen is mostly unintentional, haha. Jorgen is a very upstanding Fairy, who does his best to do good for the court he oversees! He'd never intentionally obscure or hide information unless he knows it's for the greater good.
Insofar that the only information he's directly hidden from the. Er. Whatever it is you all are, is the Fae Foods! Given how chatty you all are about your intentions, Jorgen figured its best nobody knows how to make proper fae foods.
We can't have outsiders going around trying to steal the godchildren here haha.

two streamers who have been friends for years open a dual stream to announce a “surprise” that they teased earlier that week. they’re both nervous and wearing nice clothes for it. he says she has a nice smile. then they start talking about an irl meetup where he apparently gave her a Gift and they’re both giggly about it. and then he starts going on a looong speech about how awesome and lovely she is and how they met up in london and he made plans and booked a nice restaurant. yeah man i can’t blame the chat for their misinterpretation.

pay attention to when people speak online, without sources, on topics you actually know something about. not so you can argue with them (pointless) but so that you can recognize the patterns of hyperbole, misrepresentation, false equivalency, and every other possible flaw. then reflect on what that means for the viral post, equally un-sourced, that you regarded as informative

If you've ever used Cold-FX products when you're sick, you could get money from a new class-action lawsuit over its advertising.
[...]
The class action alleges that the companies have made "false, misleading, deceptive or unconscionable advertising claims" about the following products to consumers: Cold-FX (regular and extra strength), Daily Support (regular, chewable, and extra strength), First Signs, First Signs Nighttime, and Daily Defence (regular and extra strength).
Examples of the "misleading" ads are statements that the products are "proven by science," contain "clinically proven ingredients," or have a "clinically proven formula" to help reduce the frequency, duration and severity of cold and flu symptoms.

Okay this is a genuine question; please do read and abide by what I'm asking:
I've seen people say that the Tumblr alt text feature is limited in its use, and I get people writing descriptions on image posts I have either made or reblogged that already have full alt text descriptions with some frequency. However, I've never seen any explanation why, and I do not know if this is true but the reasoning got lost in the game of Tumblr telephone, or if it's a misunderstanding/a highly individualized situation that got inappropriately extrapolated.
If you rely on image descriptions, are there issues with the built in alt text feature that make written descriptions below the image better for you? If so, could you please explain (briefly) what those issues are?
Follow-up question: does it help you when people tag images as "undescribed?"
Note: unless you are writing both on behalf and at the direct request of someone you know who uses Tumblr and relies on image descriptions, if you do not rely on image descriptions, DO NOT ANSWER.

It's very funny to me when people searching for a lost media or even just sharing a strange memory are like "this is NOT a false memory! It definitely happened exactly like I remember!" Because unless you have proof, you actually don't know that. There isn't a little filing system in your brain that categorizes things as "real memories" and "false/inaccurate memories." It just labels them all as "memories" and you have to use context clues to figure out if something is wrong with one of them. And if you have zero context clues (like, for example, you can't find any evidence of the movie you remember even existing), you can't for sure say which ones are which

Ngl, studying history, especially contemporary history often about how powerful countries played a roll in sabotaging a developing nation, means a few times a day you see a post posted by someone who obviously doesn’t study history but is using a historical event to further a political point (that I usually agree with but it is completely out of context and usually super disrespectful) and it will literally have thousands of likes and you just have to learn to sigh and move on.
#this applies to all social media but this post is specifically from a post I just saw#when I say it took twenty horrific historical events#being super vague about the event to once again further a point#literally there were a few that I was like okay I get the point but I don’t know what specific event this could even be referring to#and a lot of these posts ultimately make points I agree with#that you can have many historical examples to further back up their point#but then it’s taken completely out of context#erasing the suffering and deaths of thousands of people in the events they’re describing#and it’s just#using genocide dictators and devastating proxy wars or war in general started under false pretense#that resulted in the unjust injury or death of thousands possibly millions#should not be casually mentioned once in a sentence to prove a point#it’s disgustingly disrespectful and usually distorts what the historical event was by describing it in a simple sentence#the post that inspired this literally listed like 30 countries which each having absolutely devastating history perpetuated by the us#but op says nothing more than us as wronged this country this country that country ect#to go on to defend another point (that I agree with)!!!!!#I cannot stress how misleading and disrespectful it is to bring up a historical event#especially a catastrophic event#mentjon it once and then move on to make a point#it undermines your point because you see it as nothing more than a summary#it makes me want to scream#rae’s rambles
