Vex and dryads are both fae - which most people know, so Cub, Scar, and Bdubs meeting up regularly doesn't surprise people.

False and Etho showing up, though, sometimes does. They're phantoms, kind of, but aren't undead - the name for their species has been nearly lost, with only the undead version regularly encountered since they'd been hunted nearly to extinction for their wings. So most people, familiar only with the undead phantoms, don't realize that when alive they're also fae.

The meetups started mostly about the practicalities of being obligate player-eaters, and then Bdubs showed up with Gardening Opinions and also a demand for tasty tasty bonemeal, and now it's just the general Hermitcraft Fae Meetups.

It helps to have others who understand the kind of magical needs (and unusual nutritional needs) of other fae. It also helps each of them that there's other kinds of fae there - people who don't have quite the same kind of baggage, but have other baggage themselves.

Scar's never had an evoker control him, but Cub has. Etho's old enough to remember when phantoms were thriving and lost it all; False is much younger, and has been watching for elytra-makers looking to use genuine fresh non-undead phantom her whole life. Bdubs, for his part, falls into a similar category of fae as selkies and swanshifters: there's a part of himself that is generally immobile and separate from the rest of him, that can be used to control him.

A third of the time the meetings just turn into date night or date night planning

The hermits are wonderful, wonderful people, but there's some experiences that are difficult to understand. Their meetings are good for that. They can all complain out in the open about stupid things - like Cleo not cleaning blood up (the smell makes False hungry, it's annoying!)

The problems with the world are a lot easier to manage when you're lying on top of each other in a big pile.

Bdoubleo100: 6/10 pretty average, covered up by the person on the end but he's just reaching his arm out. Not too special but decent.

Xizuma: 8/10 "yippee" energy but not 😁 yippee, more chill than that, basically he just looks like he's cheering for something. I like it.

xBCrafted: 7/10 only criticism is why are him and Doc holding that thing like that? It makes it very hard for xb to use his other hand.

DocM77: 7/10 pretty much the same as xb, still a bit selfish of him to be trapping xbs arm like that.

Welsknight: 8/10 looks like he's dancing but very chill. We can't all be busting out the big guns and grooving the night away. Nice work.

TangoTek: 7/10 I like it, he looks happy and eager, however thats also the exact pose people made when I was in school and people were trying to fight each other. I do not think tango is trying to fight anyone.

VintageBeef: 9/10 looks like he's trying to dance. I like it. Keep it up, beef ✌️🙂

StressMonster: 7/10 looks a bit like she's running away from beef, or really badly trying to kick scar. Why are you doing that, stress? I want to see where you're going with this.

Goodtimeswithscar: 6/10 he's just chillin'. Looks confident though, can't say I disagree, though the angle of his head and his eyes make things a tad bit confusing

Rendog: 9/10, I love it, he's so groovy, plus he's got that slutty slutty neckline. Another day another slay

Pearlescentmoon: 9/10 similar dancing to beef except I think she's pointing at something and I'm curious as to what

Mumbo Jumbo: 8/10 what's behind your back, mumbo killsalot jumbo? I distrust him...

Keralis: 7/10 unsure if it's just his face but his arms being up and him leaning back makes him look a bit scared. Someone help this man to overcome his fears

Joe Hills: 9.5/10 he looks very groovy indeed, but what's that he's doing with his hand? Hmmm....

Zedaph: 4/10 don't be selfish. Tut tut tut zedaph

Zombiecleo: 9.5/10 and that's what Joe's doing with his hand! Love the high five, woohoo

Jevin: 7/10 good job, but maybe try a bit harder not to abuse Grian perhaps

Grian: 6/10 clearly trying to escape jevin, however, kee out of poor ethos personal space. Keep to your own bubble. Shame on you Grian.

Hypnotized: 9/10 some real teehee energy with this one. I appreciate that. Keep up the energy

ImpulseSV: 9/10 biggest yippee energy so far. Either that or he really wants to ask a question

Cubfan: 9/10 I can imagine him saying eureka. That's a type of can or something

Falsesymmetry: 7/10 also big yippee energy, but maybe slightly less than Impulse. Love it still

Iskall: 7/10 I can't tell if he's using that hand to shout, or whisper something to false, but either way I want to know what he's saying

Geminitay: 6/10 pretty much the same as bdubs. Very covered by mystery person two electric boogaloo, but simple can be good

for a community that's famously harder to organise than cats, I am so impressed with how many hermits showed up or got involved with the gamers outreach charity stream. as far as I know we had:

It's amazing how many hermits were both willing and able to step up for this weekend, giving up their time, their money, and their possessions for charity.

Cubfan accidentally brought the sculk to this world.

He was never quite content as a fae. The pranks, the name and face stealing, the kidnapping...it was all fun and games, but he yearned for a greater purpose. One day, in a seemingly inconspicuous book (acquired through less than legal means), he discovered that there was another realm out there. This realm didn't have any magic. It had only one race: humans. He became enraptured by the idea of it. Who would've thought that such a place existed? Sure, it was theoretically possible, but to actually have tangible proof it existed...

On the outside, he remained a regular fae, attending to his regular fae schemes and antics. After nightfall, he would return to ruins buried deep underground and try to light a portal. All he needed to cross the interdimensional barrier was a flint and steel, chalk, and the correct ritual artifacts.

He did ultimately manage to travel to this realm, but found that it wasn't for him. What he only found out later was that something malevolent, hidden in the cracks between dimensions, followed him back home.

He has a deal with Scar and False: if they pretend not to notice the dark blue flecks spreading over his skin, he will continue to stay business partners with them.

Even so, they can't help but feel like they're not talking to Cub anymore...they're beginning to fear their once beloved companion. Scar begins to avoid caves and little dark nooks and crannies. False begins to sleep with the lights on.

For the weekly theme - sfw age regression on the beach!!!

The Hermits were all a tightly-knit group, there were hardly any secrets between them. Of course, if someone wanted to keep quiet on a certain topic, no one forced them to talk. But there was no judgement on any of the topics someone decided to share with the group

So it was not a surprise, when the server quickly turned into a supportive web of age regressors and their caregivers. No one can quite pinpoint when that happened, but one thing led to another, and soon enough the age regressors could always count on having someone look after them when they were small, and all the caregivers of the server formed a special groupchat just to exchange information about what each of the regressors liked and how to best take care of them

So of course, as soon as the weather got warm enough, everyone decided to go to the seaside, for a few days of relaxation and fun. The server worked together to build a set of comfy and cosy beach houses, equipped with everything one could need during the stay. Of course, everything was ready in no time, Hermits cooperating with one another were a force to be reconed with

The sunny weather, patches of sand, crystal clear blue water, and relaxed atmosphere did all lead to people regressing freely. After all, what screams "childhood" more than a holiday at a seaside?

Soon enough, everyone had their little spot secured in the sand. Some people brought sun-umbrellas with them, but some chose to enjoy the sunlight to the fullest ("No, Ren, get back here, you're already sunburned enough!!! Or at least let me put sunscreen on you!" yelled Keralis, from underneath his bright pink umbrella).

Gem, ever the menace, decided it'd be a delightful idea to use her little shovel to catapult blobs of wet sand into other people's sand castles. She had to be gently talked out of that idea by a very amused Cleo (she was still quietly laughing, cuz one of the blobs hit Mumbo straight in the back, while he was turned around to face Stress)

Speaking of Stress, she was watching over False, who was enjoying some ice cream. When regressed, False's impeccable precision and coordination were nowhere to be found, so she did need someone to catch the falling ice cream cone, just in case (a crying False was not something anyone wanted to happen)

Etho, for some reason, was always a magnet for the regressors. Maybe it was his calm voice, or the fact that he could entertain everyone with his stories, but he always had at least two regressors following him like ducklings (no, that sitiation with TNT minecart from Limited Life would NOT happen here, that was just a joke between adults, Etho wouldn't pull stuff like that with anyone regressed). Today, he had Grian and Pearl very intent on putting as many flower crowns as possible on his head, all while giggling like crazy

Next to the sat Beef, shaking his head fondly at his friend getting a face-full of flowers. He was glad that Xisuma was such a heavy sleeper when regressed, the racket from the winged duo was a lot. But everyone managed to convince their beloved admin that it was okay for him to relax and not mind the server for a bit, and this is exactly what he did

Tango, being the warmth-loving creature he is, dug himself a den in the warm, dry sand, and dozed off. Zedaph was also snoozing near him, in a patch of lush grass. Impulse watched over them both, from where he was skeching out a new redstone machine in his beach chair

Cub, Scar, and Doc joined forces to build a huge custom tree next to the water. It had a couple of swings and slides for regressors to enjoy. Some of them (like Wels) enjoyed them calmly, just swinging around and feeling the wind on their faces, but others (like Joe) were running around at top speed, laughing and launching themselves into the water

Everyone were having such a wonderful time! This was definitely not the last time everyone got together to enjoy the summer weather!!! But let's not talk about the holiday ending yet, there are still a couple of days let to enjoy the beach

I don't feel like I know all the Hermits well enough to write what each of them did at the beach. I haven't forgotten about them, I just don't wanna write something wildly out of character for them

When things get a bit chaotic (like they always can with so many people in a group like this) the caregivers have careful strategies to calm things down. There's plenty of shady spots along the beach, and places for people to go if they need quiet time. Adults included!

Or be put in time out, if Jevin doesn't stop trying to shlorp up people's sand castles. And he's not even regressed! Stop teaching xB bad habits!

They made sure there's enough ice cream for everyone (because three of them immediately declared they wanted some once they saw False with it.) There's plenty of options for cones or tubs as well.

Cleo, Impulse and Doc have some supplies for the inevitable boo-boos as well. Zed scraped his knees trying to find rock pools (he was less upset about this than Tango was) and a kiss and bandage cleared up most minor injuries.

The real challenge is going to be how to get everybody inside to sleep.

Okay, now that I've watched multiple hermits' perspectives this season my brain is kinda itching for more, but I don't know who to pick because there are TWENTY SEVEN OF THEM THIS SEASON! so I think the best way to go about it is to kinda list them and give some thoughts maybe?

Okay so in order we've got:

Out of those I'm thinking about maybe watching Etho, Gem OR Pearl (I get them a little mixed up), Scar, Mumbo (I haven't had many mumbo interactions this season so I think I gotta watch his stuff), and maybe Wellsknight's because he was one of THE og's that I watched when I was younger before I started watching hermitcraft
