The Lion of Lucerne Location: Lucerne, Switzerland
This memorial is dedicated to the Swiss Guards fallen during the French Revolution and is also famously known as the world's saddest stone. Carved in 1820, this ten-meter-long and six-meter-high monument portrays a dying lion bearing a shield of the French monarchy. The inscription above reads "HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI," translating to "To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss," with the names of some deceased officers listed below the lion.

Ever think about how the author of PIDW transmigrated into his most nothing character who only existed to push the protagonist on the “right” path to popularity before dying? Ever think about how he transmigrated into that character from their birth, completely deleting that person from existence, while his own existence as the creator of the world he now inhabits is so thoroughly erased that we readers only know his “real name” as the character’s name? How the only name he carries over from his first life is a shortened version of his innuendo pen name? As if his existence as a person is nothing next to being the author, which is only marginally less nothing by virtue of the job’s one purpose: to make sure a story is following the “right” path to popularity before dying to enshrine that fame/infamy amongst readers?
No? Just me? Ok…

In your sorrywhatau how did the public reaction to splinter being back/having kids? Is splinter and big mama still a thing/still fiancés? Does splinter still do movies?
There is definitely a bit of a hubbub, so to speak. I mean, Lou Jitsu was a pretty successful actor, but he was never necessarily, like, an A-lister or anything. But still, I mean, he had his own fucking ramen brand-- dude was doing pretty OK for himself. And when you go missing for over a decade, are presumed dead, and then suddenly came back with four young children in tow, there's probably gonna be a bit of a public reaction. Splinter takes it all in relative stride, there are quite a few tabloids and articles about him for a while there. He does a few interviews but declines to do anything live or go on any talk shows or anything, because he wants to focus on his kids. He refuses to allow any publications that have any images or information about his sons to exist in the world and sic lawyers after anyone who tries. It all calms down after the first four months or so.
He and Big Mama are not currently a thing. A part of their deal is that she will not have any contact with his children, and the most contact that they have is the occasional professional exchange, typically by email or the like. There's still, perhaps, a bit of a flame there, but again, Splinter is 100% focused on his sons at the time, and doesn't consider her a safe person for them to be around, given his previous experiences with her.
Regarding still doing movies... Not really! He does the occasional commercial or a couple small roles, but for the most part, acting is on the back burner. When the boys are in middle school/high school, however, he agrees to a semi-significant role in some new action movie (playing the sort of "wise older mentor/kung-fu master" type character) and the boys... are quite excited.

thinking about colin saying he doesnt want to be a spokesperson in contrast with sam embracing the opportunity to be a spokesperson, how even though being closeted in an extremely heterosexual and homophobic environment is a painful experience colin can blend in but thats never been an option for sam or any other black athlete. sam is obviously the type of person to speak up about injustice whether he's obligated to or not but in many ways he doesnt really have a choice, not in the way colin does as a white guy.
even within the queer community a cis masc white guy like colin is not going to experience the kind of bigotry a gender non conforming or trans queer person would. and thats not to say that being closeted is a privilege (it is so very very not) or that the homophobia people like colin face isnt awful and painful but it's just. different. and we see this all the time in real life, there are so many white queer celebrities who feel the same way as colin about being a "spokesperson" but really no one wants to be a spokesperson, no one wants to have to fight just for their right to exist but we're not exactly given a choice.

For altars or offerings, you can make boards on pinterest, OR what I enjoy more: a post on pinterest’s Shuffles app. you can make collages that way as a devotional act and the result is their offering.
