On the Twitter, #DeleteFacebook is trending again.  I want to, but nobody else does, because they see any alternative as “omg no that’s where the Nazis are.”  

Lookit.  I have had a love-hate relationship with Facebook ever since it went public.  I straight up don’t like how invasive and fucking annoying it has gotten.  Yesterday, it reminded me to sign up for Obamacare, twice wanted me to take a bat virus survey, and inundated me with the same guidelines for 84 Years To Flatten The Curve that have been thrown in my face every minute of every damn day since March.  Not to mention all the “election info” blurbs they tack onto almost every post (despite me having turned that shit off).  Oh and the ads.  THE FUCKING ADS (I run fbpurity for it on my laptop though).

Yes, I do see it as a way for information to be controlled, and they’ve decided they want to be Snopes too (except they fail at it).  I mark this up to being part of “the last disconnected generation” and having less of a tolerance for this than “hurr durr dang libturds on mah good Christian innertube!”  I’m painted with the “Nazi” brush regardless.  Such is life.  

Anyway as I’ve mentioned, I have set up an account on MeWe, with absolutely zero intention of suddenly goose-stepping and sticking my right arm in the air.  Literally the only “political,” and I use that term lightly because the 2nd Amendment should never be up for legislative discussion, organization I follow is the VCDL.  I did this because I enjoy using the social media stuff, especially being in the military as it keeps me in touch with family and shipmates who have transferred/gotten out, but again, it needs to mind its fucking business.

Don’t complain if you don’t want a solution.
