Hi mtx!
Can you plz explain me two different events, first what did Shu mean by saying "the target didn't appear" in last panel of file 289, I mean wasn't Vermouth as Araide there with them? The second thing is what Masumi meant by her words in last panels file 775 about deleting evidences and why did she delet Haibara's photo? I really don't fully understand this whole thing of masumi-haibara at that case
Thanks!
In File 434, Akai referenced again that the "main target" didn't show up (after they fought off Vermouth), so he wasn't talking about Vermouth.
Tumblr media
It's more than likely that he was referring to Gin, since Gin was the "main target" during his infiltration as Rye that the FBI wanted to capture in order to reach the boss (File 599).
Tumblr media
As for the Masumi scene, it was simply showing that she was deleting all the info she had saved in that hotel room PC and she was simply highlighting outloud that despite deleting it, it's still stored in her mind (Gosho basically teasing that her suspicions will be continued).

Y/N POV:
Hot. Yes, Spencer Reid was hot. I couldn't help, but felt a little horny today. The whole morning, I have been a little touchy to Spencer. I played with his hair, gave him many kisses, or hugged him for a while. Now, it was no different.
Everyone was filling in files, as it was paperwork today. I just finished another one, and stood up, to walk to Aaron his office. I gave it to him, and made my way back, as I stopped at Spencer's desk. I wrapped my arms around him, as I gave sweet kisses on his neck. Soft hums of content, escaped his mouth.
'Are you a little horny today, pretty girl?' I heard Derek say, from across his desk.
'Oh, shut up.' I chuckled, before placing a kiss on the genius his lips.
I made my way back to my desk, which was across from Spencer's. I tried to concentrate me on the work, but got easily distracted. He just sat there, licking his lips sometimes, as he was fully concentrated and thinking. I catch myself staring at the doctor in front of me, while I looked at him with full adoration and love.
Spencer noticed and glanced at me, smiling slightly, as I was biting my lip.
'Pretty girl, the work is on your desk. Not pretty boy.' Derek continued teasing, as my eyes finally found the muscular man.
I rolled my eyes, playfully, and went eventually back to work. At least, I tried to work.
_________________________
The day came to an end, while the whole team was walking out the elevators. They all were discussing to do something tonight.
'We can go to the bar.' Derek suggested.
'Or go to Rossi's house and play board games.' Emily said.
'Hey, my place is not a playground. And, I don't have a house, I have a mansion.' David teased, making everyone laugh.
'Dave, we all know, that you actually love it when we come over.' Aaron spoke, matter of fact.
'Are the two cuties also going to come?' Penelope asked, looking at Spencer and me.
'No, the two lovebirds are going to make love.' Derek chuckled, before we could answer her question.
'DEREK!' Spencer and I, yelled at the same time, causing everyone to chuckle.
'What? You've been clingy all day. I bet, that you are going home, and make love.'
'No, we're not!' I exclaimed.
'Actually, we're going to cuddle all night.' Spencer spoke, putting emphasis on the word "all".
'Love, don't say something, you can't finish.' I joked, making him smirk.
'Oh, I can finish, and make it last long.' I froze at his words in front of the team, making me wanting him more and more.
'We all can tell, that's the code word for they're going to do it.' Emily pointed out, as they laughed, everyone nodding in agreement.
'No, we're not-' I began, but stopped as I felt Spencer's lips on my neck.
'Oh whatever, we're going to fuck.' I admitted, and took his hand in mine.
'Again, and again, and again.' he said, teasingly.
'Spencer!' I playfully hit him on the chest, making him laugh.
'Bye guys, see you tomorrow.' I spoke to everyone, dragging my beautiful boyfriend with me.

Got this off-campus rental ad before they removed the wording. It's for the University of North Georgia near Dahlonega campus. The ads on the realty sites were cleaned up, b/c the house has been renovated, but it still mentions drugs in the description. Take a look.

Odd, is that wainscoting?   "Also must have verifiable rental history (no family) and verification of employment//// Once your application is received, we will email you a form to sign and send back to us, so we can obtain verifiable rental and employment history."

What? Are shady people still lurking about? This property must've been trashed and the owner must've had some legal problems, too. All those rules! Too much trouble to rent this place.

Shina's TSP Out of Bounds Adventures - EMPLOYEE DATABASE COUNT
THIS POST BROKE 9 TIMES I AM CLOSE TO BEING DONE but tbh it was so silly, feeling like I have a thin foil hat with 'theory master' written on it
Tumblr media
I have explored a bit of the game out of bounds and I know its been done before but I still want to share some stuff so I want to focus on this particular screen I found in the normal ver of the Museum (I think it sometimes shows in other ones in Parable), focusing on the 'total employee in x' lines MORE UNDER THE CUT
TOTAL EMPLOYEE IN OFFICE: [2]
We know the first one is Stanley
The other one has no number and no status. It is possible the system being off just cannot tell the mysterious employee, their data might be corrupted or sth else idk, I'm rewriting this for 9th time My theories: a) Narrator: makes the most sense, might not have a number associated with himself but has power over Parable, seems to have internet access (mentions of Steam, reviews, Twitter), his status being left unknown might be due to his computer working but not being connected to the system b) Settings Person/TK/432: people yelled at me that it shouldn't be the case cus they got fired (look below) but: - 432 sorta evaporated likewise - as the Settings Person, being able to keep the game on rolling, they seem to have overall some control over the game - they used to be an employee but since they now aren't human, it is possible the system deleted their files but still sees them Other options: Curator, other Stanley, dead rat, Mariella
TOTAL EMPLOYEE IN DATABASE [604]
Tumblr media
There are in total 599 numbered screens - since two are fired
Fired ones: 104 - view on 432's desk; 601 - view on 434's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is also blackened ones, 097 and 098 but these might also just not work
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are also 4 whitened screens with no numbers (look above next to fired and here) - I do not know if I should coun them in anything since no "employee" is written on them. However, meetings room and stairs often show up as diff employees so I do think they deserve a mention
Tumblr media Tumblr media
we also have 2 special employees - Pirate and Clippy.
Pirate is just a view on 427's desk (we have a few diff camera views throughout this whole thing but I have no energy to show every one now)
Clippy, 104 - fired, and 234 all show 432's desk. It might repeat more times but I think that's quite good to mention
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also have a 000 employee that doesn't have a special screen
Tumblr media
We also have two errors: 028 (which is sideways) and 528
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So to summarise and try to make sense out of that:
Computer screen says there are 604 employees
The room, however, has 601 (603 if you include Pirate and Clippy) employee screens 595 normal employees; 2 fired - 104, 601; 2 errors - 028, 528; 2 blackened - 097, 098
3 special ones - Pirate, Clippy and 000
4 white screens without numbers
My suggestions: a) 603 in total (601 with fired ones+ Pirate and Clippy) + 000 - prob the easiest b) Delete 2 fired ones (599 left), add 4 whitened out and Pirate - since 432 is already fired, we shouldn't count back Clippy c) 595 normal + 2 blackened + 3 specials + 4 whites d) 594 ( since 432 is already fired), count Pirate, Clippy, 2 blackened, 2 errors and 4 whites
I'm so done

SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
Syllabus
UNITED STATES v. WINDSOR, EXECUTOR OF THE
ESTATE OF SPYER, ET AL.
CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR
THE SECOND CIRCUIT
No. 12-307.  Argued March 27, 2013---Decided June 26, 2013
The State of New York recognizes the marriage of New York residents
Edith Windsor and Thea Spyer, who wed in Ontario, Canada, in
2007. When Spyer died in 2009, she left her entire estate to Windsor.
Windsor sought to claim the federal estate tax exemption for surviv-
ing spouses, but was barred from doing so by §3 of the federal Defense
of Marriage Act (DOMA), which amended the Dictionary Act---a
law providing rules of construction for over 1,000 federal laws and
the whole realm of federal regulations-to define "marriage" and
"spouse" as excluding same-sex partners. Windsor paid $363,053 in
estate taxes and sought a refund, which the Internal Revenue Service
denied. Windsor brought this refund suit, contending that DOMA vi-
olates the principles of equal protection incorporated in the Fifth
Amendment. While the suit was pending, the Attorney General notified
the Speaker of the House of Representatives that the Department
of Justice would no longer defend §3's constitutionality. In re-
sponse, the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (BLAG) of the House of
Representatives voted to intervene in the litigation to defend §3's
constitutionality. The District Court permitted the intervention. On
the merits, the court ruled against the United States, finding §3 un-
constitutional and ordering the Treasury to refund Windsor's tax
with interest. The Second Circuit affirmed. The United States has
not complied with the judgment.
Held:
1. This Court has jurisdiction to consider the merits of the case.
This case clearly presented a concrete disagreement between oppos-
ing parties that was suitable for judicial resolution in the District
Court, but the Executive's decision not to defend §3's constitutionali-
[page 2]

Syllabus
ty in court while continuing to deny refunds and assess deficiencies
introduces a complication. Given the Government's concession, ami-
cus contends, once the District Court ordered the refund, the case
should have ended and the appeal been dismissed. But this argu-
ment elides the distinction between Article Ill's jurisdictional re-
quirements and the prudential limits on its exercise, which are "es-
sentially matters of judicial self-governance." Warth v. Seldin, 422
U. S. 490, 500. Here, the United States retains a stake sufficient to
support Article III jurisdiction on appeal and in this Court. The re-
fund it was ordered to pay Windsor is "a real and immediate econom-
ic injury," Hein v. Freedom From Religion Foundation, Inc., 551 U. S.
587, 599, even if the Executive disagrees with §3 of DOMA. Wind-
sor's ongoing claim for funds that the United States refuses to pay
thus establishes a controversy sufficient for Article III jurisdiction.
Cf. INS v. Chadha, 462 U. S. 919.
Prudential considerations, however, demand that there be "con-
crete adverseness which sharpens the presentation of issues upon
which the court so largely depends for illumination of difficult consti-
tutional questions." Baker v. Carr, 369 U. S. 186, 204. Unlike Article
III requirements---which must be satisfied by the parties before judi-
cial consideration is appropriate---prudential factors that counsel
against hearing this case are subject to "countervailing considera-
tions [that] may outweigh the concerns underlying the usual reluc-
tance to exert judicial power." Warth, supra, at 500-501. One such
consideration is the extent to which adversarial presentation of the
issues is ensured by the participation of amici curiae prepared to de-
fend with vigor the legislative act's constitutionality. See Chadha,
supra, at 940. Here, BLAG's substantial adversarial argument for
§3's constitutionality satisfies prudential concerns that otherwise
might counsel against hearing an appeal from a decision with which
the principal parties agree. This conclusion does not mean that it is
appropriate for the Executive as a routine exercise to challenge stat-
utes in court instead of making the case to Congress for amendment
or repeal. But this case is not routine, and BLAG's capable defense
ensures that the prudential issues do not cloud the merits question,
which is of immediate importance to the Federal Government and to
hundreds of thousands of persons. Pp. 5-13.
2. DOMA is unconstitutional as a deprivation of the equal liberty of
persons that is protected by the Fifth Amendment. Pp. 13--26.
(a) By history and tradition the definition and regulation of mar-
riage has been treated as being within the authority and realm of the
separate States. Congress has enacted discrete statutes to regulate
the meaning of marriage in order to further federal policy, but
DOMA, with a directive applicable to over 1,000 federal statues and

Syllabus
the whole realm of federal regulations, has a far greater reach. Its
operation is also directed to a class of persons that the laws of New
York, and of 11 other States, have sought to protect. Assessing the
validity of that intervention requires discussing the historical and
traditional extent of state power and authority over marriage.
Subject to certain constitutional guarantees, see, e.g., Loving v.
Virginia, 388 U.S. 1, "regulation of domestic relations" is "an area
that has long been regarded as a virtually exclusive province of the
States," Sosna v. Iowa, 419 U. S. 393, 404. The significance of state
responsibilities for the definition and regulation of marriage dates to
the Nation's beginning; for "when the Constitution was adopted the
common understanding was that the domestic relations of husband
and wife and parent and child were matters reserved to the States,"
Ohio ex rel. Popovici v. Agler, 280 U. S. 379, 383-384. Marriage laws
may vary from State to State, but they are consistent within each
State.
DOMA rejects this long-established precept. The State's decision
to give this class of persons the right to marry conferred upon them a
dignity and status of immense import. But the Federal Government
uses the state-defined class for the opposite purpose---to impose re-
strictions and disabilities. The question is whether the resulting injury
and indignity is a deprivation of an essential part of the liberty
protected by the Fifth Amendment, since what New York treats as
alike the federal law deems unlike by a law designed to injure the
same class the State seeks to protect. New York's actions were a
proper exercise of its sovereign authority. They reflect both the
community's considered perspective on the historical roots of the in-
stitution of marriage and its evolving understanding of the meaning
of equality. Pp. 13--20.
(b) By seeking to injure the very class New York seeks to protect,
DOMA violates basic due process and equal protection principles ap-
plicable to the Federal Government. The Constitution's guarantee of
equality "must at the very least mean that a bare congressional de-
sire to harm a politically unpopular group cannot" justify disparate
treatment of that group. Department of Agriculture v. Moreno, 413
U. S. 528, 534-535. DOMA cannot survive under these principles.
Its unusual deviation from the tradition of recognizing and accepting
state definitions of marriage operates to deprive same-sex couples of
the benefits and responsibilities that come with federal recognition of
their marriages. This is strong evidence of a law having the purpose
and effect of disapproval of a class recognized and protected by state
law. DOMA's avowed purpose and practical effect are to impose a
disadvantage, a separate status, and so a stigma upon all who enter
into same-sex marriages made lawful by the unquestioned authority
[page 3]
4           UNITED STATES v. WINDSOR
Syllabus
of the States.
DOMA's history of enactment and its own text demonstrate that
interference with the equal dignity of same-sex marriages, conferred
by the States in the exercise of their sovereign power, was more than
an incidental effect of the federal statute. It was its essence. BLAG's
arguments are just as candid about the congressional purpose.
DOMA's operation in practice confirms this purpose. It frustrates
New York's objective of eliminating inequality by writing inequality
into the entire United States Code.
DOMA's principal effect is to identify and make unequal a subset of
state-sanctioned marriages. It contrives to deprive some couples
married under the laws of their State, but not others, of both rights
and responsibilities, creating two contradictory marriage regimes
within the same State. It also forces same-sex couples to live as mar-
ried for the purpose of state law but unmarried for the purpose of
federal law, thus diminishing the stability and predictability of basic
personal relations the State has found it proper to acknowledge and
protect. Pp. 20-26.

SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
No. 12-307
UNITED STATES, PETITIONER v. EDITH SCHLAIN
WINDSOR, IN HER CAPACITY AS EXECUTOR OF THE
ESTATE OF THEA CLARA SPYER, ET AL.
ON WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED STATES COURT OF
APPEALS FOR THE SECOND CIRCUIT
[June 26, 2013]
JUSTICE KENNEDY delivered the opinion of the Court.
Two women then resident in New York were married
in a lawful ceremony in Ontario, Canada, in 2007. Edith
Windsor and Thea Spyer returned to their home in New
York City. When Spyer died in 2009, she left her entire
estate to Windsor. Windsor sought to claim the estate tax
exemption for surviving spouses. She was barred from
doing so, however, by a federal law, the Defense of Mar-
riage Act, which excludes a same-sex partner from the
definition of "spouse" as that term is used in federal stat-
utes. Windsor paid the taxes but filed suit to challenge
the constitutionality of this provision. The United States
District Court and the Court of Appeals ruled that this
portion of the statute is unconstitutional and ordered the
United States to pay Windsor a refund. This Court granted
certiorari and now affirms the judgment in Windsor's
favor.

Edit: If you guys have any questions feel free to dm them to me or drop them in my ask box !
Hello ! I am sad about ao3 being down, but I would like to offer my insight about what type of DDOS could be affecting it ! Yes this is an excuse to talk about my special interest
For context: I major in Informational Technology, and we have to learn about this, and technology has always been my special interest. I know way too much about this
In this post I will explain what a DDOS is, different types of DDOS attacks, and my theory on which one.
A DDOS (or denial of service attack) is when the servers get so overloaded that they crash and burn.
There are multiple types of DDOS attacks: Zip Bomb, Time Bomb, Fork Bomb, and a Zombie attack. Each one does something different but reach the same result.
Zip Bomb: Will send a compressed file of data to a server, and when they uncompress it, they get fit with  4.5 petabytes (4 503 599 626 321 920 bytes) of data. No computer can even process that !
Time Bomb: Basically what a free trial is, but will implode other things too. Time Bombs will basically count down to when they release the attack to servers with either Zip Bombs, Trojan Horses, or a Worm
Fork Bomb: A malicious file that will get in your servers and start duplicating itself, taking up server resources and slowing them down. Very bad if not caught early on. (I would also like you to know this is also called a Wabbit virus)
Zombie: A hacked computer that has been compromised and can be used by the hacker remotely to do what they want. These are dangerous because they affect multiple systems and then use those systems to overload a server, and they're hard to detect. (If you're scared you have this, run your downloaded files though VirusTotal , it runs files and websites through a lot of antivirus software and can detect anything malicious)
My working theory is that ao3 is under either a Fork Bomb attack or a Zombie Attack (that is the official term for it). Both these DDOS attacks are hard to get rid of, and hard to pinpoint where they started from.
It doesn't mean ao3 is gone forever, but it means it might be down for a little bit. They're working their absolute hardest, and I believe in them <3

Chapter One
Snezhnayan mornings are rarely graced by daylight but today, the albedo from the previous night’s blizzard crept in and illuminated your bedroom.
With an aura of defeat, you pull your hair off your neck and into place so you can put on your work clothes. It would be a bit of a stretch to call it a uniform; many liberties were taken in its tailoring. The outfit consisted of a pair of cable knit stockings, a frilly white blouse, and a heavy skirt of black-and-crimson jacquard, which concealed half a dozen petticoats. Quite luxurious compared to the regular uniforms.
As you lace up your black leather boots, you think about your awful work conditions. The place itself was creepy enough with its harsh lighting and omnipresent chemical scent, but the mind games your boss played with you and the screams from his test subjects made your blood run cold.
Shaking yourself, you pulled on your black leather gloves and cloak. Dwelling on it would do you no good.
Finally, you grab your mask. The charcoal gray mask had the typical red stripe through the eye indicating your affiliation with the Fatui. In the middle where the wearer’s eyebrows would be, however, there is an extra marking. This little addition marks you not just as a Fatuus, but as a Fatuus working directly under the command of the 2nd Fatui Harbinger, Il Dottore.
You wanted nothing more than to toss it into the snow banks and forget about it, but your job was the only thing sustaining you. To leave the Fatui would be to freeze with no coal in your fireplace and die of hunger.
With this in mind, you pull the mask into place and step into the cold before you can convince yourself not to. ***** As usual, you arrive a little early to savor your last minutes of freedom before descending into the bowels of Zapolyarny Palace. You leave your Clydesdale at the stable and make your way to the palace at a leisurely pace, taking a breath of the stinging cold– but untainted– air.
You duck your head instantly upon noticing a commanding officer talking to one of the harbingers. Many of them are picky about etiquette and it’s never a good idea to offend one.
Nevertheless, one could hardly take offense at you walking a little slower than usual.
Making your way across the hall, you overhear their conversation:
“What do you mean there's no one available? I told you to find me a new assistant, you incompetent fool!”
An open position?
“My apologies, Lord Scaramouche, but unless someone volunteers to be reassigned, you’ll have to wait for the next induction ceremony.”
“Preposterous, that's months away! I'll drown in my own paperwork before then.” In that moment, you glanced briefly at the Harbinger, who had the bridge of his nose pinched tightly. “Find someone to take this bumbling fool’s place, or you’ll have the pleasure of being demoted to the position yourself,” he said, pointing his finger at the man menacingly before storming away.
Almost at light speed you double back to talk to the officer. Dropping into a quick curtsy, you blurted out, “Sir, I was wondering if you'd consider me for the position you were discussing with the Balladeer?”
Utterly bewildered, he replied, “Of course, but who in their right mind would choose to serve Lord Scaramouche?”
“The Doctor's assistant,” you responded ruefully.
The officer’s grimace was clear as day– in any other nation that is. “I see. Come with me and we’ll file the transfer order right now. Consider the job yours.”
a/n: lemme know if you're interested in this 👉🏼👈🏼 i'm planning on uploading what i have over the next few days; if you want me to tag you, i can do that too and yes reader talks to scara in the next chapter, this is just a VERY SLOW slow burn

Florida is At It Again
I
I wanted my next post to be about the world of Open Access publishing and the horrors of APCs, but it was brought to my attention that I’m about to have worse problems than exorbitant publishing fees again, because it turns out the Florida Legislature is At It Again. That is, Representative Ryan Chamberlin (R) of Marion County, a county I have worked in, filed HB 599 for the 2024 Legislative…

The Best Music Players for USBs:
A Comprehensive Guide
Tumblr media
Introduction
USB Music Players devices are on the Rise. They're especially useful if you have a lot of music and don't want to bother with CDs or other storage and playback methods.
If you're looking for an easy way to listen to your favourite tunes without having to lug around a load of CDs, then this blog/article is for you!
We'll discuss what USB Music Players are and how they work, as well as how they compare with other types of media players like iPods and MP3 players.
Best Music Players for Beginners
Tumblr media
Around £100 From Various Outlets.
Sony Walkman NW-A55: This is a great choice for beginners because it has an easy-to-use interface, and it's one of the most affordable models on this list.
Tumblr media
Available at Amazon.co.uk - £37
Music Man  TXX3547 MA Soundstation Stereo: This USB Player is the cheap and cheerful option that simply does the job. And as a result this MP3 Player is my personal favourite. It’s Plug & Play Feature is the way forward. This Device also has a micro USB slot in addition to being compatible with the traditional USB - A Type. The Menu Navigation is a bit cumbersome, and it isn’t the loudest device, But Overall This would be the Editor’s Pick if you’re just getting started.
Tumblr media
Available at Amazon.co.uk   - Around £250k
Apple iPod Classic – Gen 7: If you're looking for something with more memory capacity than the Sony Walkman NW-A55, then consider getting an iPod Classic instead. It comes in 80GB and 160GB models--the latter being ideal if you want to store all your music on one device rather than relying on external storage devices like USBs or SD cards.
Tumblr media
Available at Amazon.co.uk
SanDisk Sansa Clip+: This player has 8GB of internal storage space as well as support for microSD cards up to 32GB in size; though this may seem small compared to other options here, it should be enough space if all you're looking for is something simple that plays back MP3 files at reasonable quality levels without any extra frills such as FM radio tuners or video playback capabilities (though both those features do exist).
Tumblr media
Available at Amazon.co.uk
Astell&Kern AK Jr.: If price isn't much concern but quality sound reproduction matters most when choosing your next portable media player (PMP), then consider getting this high end model from Astell&Kern which boasts excellent sound quality thanks largely due its dual DAC system design
Best Music Players for Pros
Tumblr media
Available at Amazon.co.uk - £599
If you're looking for a high-end player, consider the FiiO X7 Mark II. It's got a gorgeous OLED display and Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX HD support, so your wireless headphones will sound great. The sound quality is excellent as well, with plenty of power and detail across all frequencies. This device also has two microSD USB slots for storage up 256GB.
Tumblr media
Available At Amazon.co.uk - £999
The Astell&Kern KANN isn't quite as expensive as some other options on this list--but it still delivers amazing performance at its price point. This player offers great build quality, excellent features (including an external DAC), and excellent sound quality across all genres of music--and it even comes with a free pair of earbud
Tumblr media
Available On Ebay.com – Around £325
If money is no object and you want something that can handle anything thrown at it without breaking a sweat then look no further than Sony's NW-ZX300: this portable music player has been designed specifically for audiophiles who want nothing but perfection when listening to their favourite tracks wherever they go!
Best Music Players for Audiophiles
If you're an audiophile and want to take your music to the next level, these are the best options.
Astell&Kern AK380 (£1,599)
FiiO X5 III (£1,099)
iBasso DX200 (£999)
Pioneer XDP-100R (£799)
Best Music Players for Budget Conscious Buyers
If you're looking for a music player that won't break the bank, there are several options available. The Sony Walkman NW-A45 is one of the best budget-friendly options on the market today. It comes with 32GB of storage space and can store up to 1,000 songs at a time. Additionally, it also has a built-in microphone so you can use it as an external recording device if needed!
The Apple iPod Touch is another great option if you want something more high end but still affordable. The latest version of this product has 64GB worth of memory which should be enough space for even large libraries filled with thousands upon thousands of songs! As far as functionality goes though...it's pretty much identical to its predecessors (iPod Nano 7th Generation). This means no headphone jack either so make sure your headphones have Bluetooth capabilities before buying one otherwise they'll need some kind of adapter connected directly into them.
Best Music Players for Exercise Enthusiasts
If you're looking for a music player that's small and compact, the Sony Walkman NW-WS623 is the way to go. It has a built-in clip so that it can be clipped onto your clothes or backpack while exercising. It also comes with an armband so that you can carry it around without having to worry about dropping it while running or jogging. The Apple iPod Shuffle comes in three different colors (silver, space gray, gold) and has buttons on its sides for easy navigation through menus as well as playback controls such as play/pause button and volume control buttons at its top side which makes using this device very easy even if one doesn't have much experience using MP3 players before buying one like myself!
Best Music Players for DJs
Pioneer XDJ-RX2
Denon SC5000 Prime
Numark NS6II
Pioneer DDJ-SX2
Best Music Players for Kids
Tumblr media
Available At Amazon.co.uk – Around £63
You can't go wrong with the VTech KidiZoom DX2. It's got everything you need to keep your little one entertained, including games and activities that teach them how to count, spell their name and even learn about animals.
Tumblr media
Available At Amazon.co.uk – Around £120
The LeapFrog LeapPad is another great option if you want something that will grow with your child as they get older. This tablet features thousands of apps designed specifically for kids aged 4-9 years old so it won't be obsolete in a few months like many other tablets on the market today!
If your child is interested in learning how to play an instrument or sing along with music then check out The LeapBand by LeapFrog! It comes with lots of different games but one fun feature allows users (or parents) who have an iPhone/iPad/Android device connected via Bluetooth technology so they can download additional content from within these devices directly onto their wristbands!
Best Music Players for Car Audio
If you're looking for a music player that will connect with your car's stereo system, there are several options. The Pioneer AVH-3300NEX is one of the best options out there, as it comes with a 6.2-inch touchscreen display and supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has built-in Bluetooth connectivity so that you can easily stream music from your phone or other devices without having to plug them in directly.
The Sony XAV-AX1000 offers similar features: it has an 8-inch touch screen display (which is larger than most others on this list), as well as support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay--and it also includes built-in Bluetooth connectivity so that users can wirelessly stream audio from their smartphones or tablets without needing additional cables or adapters.
Finally, Alpine CDE-172BT offers some unique benefits that make it stand out among other models available today; namely its ability to charge phones while they're connected via USB port while also providing power over Ethernet connections so users don't need batteries inside their vehicle at all times!
Another Really useful Review Article Worth Checking Out:
Conclusion
To recap, here are the most important features to consider when buying a USB music player:
The size of your device. If you want something small and compact that can fit in your pocket or purse, look for a player with a 2-inch screen or smaller.
Battery life. If you're going on long trips and don't have access to electricity, make sure your player has enough battery life so that it doesn't die halfway through the trip!
Storage capacity--how much storage does it have? How many songs can I fit on here? This will depend on how much music is currently saved onto my computer as well as what kind of files those songs are saved in (MP3s take up less space than WAVs).
Looking For Music On USB?
We Found Chinchilla Choons Has The Best and Widest Selection Of Music USBs. They Also Give You The Choice Of MicroSD Card or Traditional USB Type A. You Can Check Out Their Selection Here.

flash fan fiction sale (21/02/23)
I’m hoping this post can gain some traction, as I’m in a bit of a tight spot financially. My dog was recently put to sleep (27/01/23) due to sudden heart failure, and the cost of his medical care, euthanasia fee, and cremation fee knocked me completely on my ass. In addition, I have a hypermobility disorder which is deteriorating quickly due to working the fast food industry, and I’ve had to take more days off to deal with unbearable pain, subluxed (sometimes even dislocated) joints, and general joint instability that can cause me to fall or dislocate bones.
So, to try and cover some of the financial damages from the last 3 weeks, I’m doing a flash fan fiction sale- DM me for fandoms I can do, but if I’ve posted about it or reblogged anything to do with it before, chances are good I can do it for you- I will not write smut, so please don’t ask. I’m offering $0.15 USD/15 cents per word, and you as the client can choose the word count (anywhere between 100 and 599 words). I’m also happy to convert the cost into your currency for free if you don’t use USD. I currently need $447 USD ($650 AUD) to cover my rent for the week- that’s only 6 commissions in total.
My turnaround time per piece for this word count will be less than 1 week (between 2 and 6 days), and I require a 10% deposit upfront- so if you request a 500 word piece for $75, the deposit would be $7.50 USD, and the other $67.50 would be payable before the final, finished piece is sent to you for final approval- after that it may be posted on my AO3, if you as the client consent. Just let me know if you don’t want your commission piece posted, and instead of putting it on AO3 I’ll just send you the Word file as-is. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to send an ask or DM to clarify. And, as always, reblogging increases visibility- if you can’t afford a piece, please reblog or send this post to someone who can and is interested. Thank you.

Surrey B.C. businessman recovering after being set on fire suspect still at large BC
A man suspected of tossing an accelerant on a Surrey, B.C., businessman and then lighting him on fire on Friday remains at large. RCMP allege the suspect in the disturbing attack at SNS Currency Exchange near Surrey Central Station took off in a stolen white Mini Cooper, which has since been recovered. Family friend Saif Pannu said currency exchange owner Rahat Rao, a member of the local Canadian-Pakistani community, suffered third-degree burns to 55 per cent of his body but is doing better in hospital. “He is out of danger,” Pannu told Global News in an interview Monday. 1:42 Suspect at large in horrific Surrey attack Pannu spoke to Rao’s brother-in-law Monday morning and learned Rao is now off the ventilator and recovering in intensive care. Pannu said the community is shocked and trying to comprehend the burning attack. “They tried to kill him basically,” said Pannu. Rao is one of two directors with Canadian Muslim Advocacy International. His currency business in the 10200 block of City Parkway is listed as the non-profit’s address. According to videos posted on his Facebook page, Rao sets up a booth outside his business every Saturday to share his faith and take questions on Islam from the public. “He’s a little activist you can say,” said Pannu. 1:56 Shooting in Surrey has local business owners concerned Trending Now B.C. landslide: Videos show water flowing overtop of Chilcotin River site Tim Walz: Kamala Harris taps Minnesota governor as VP pick Pannu said Rao is also a supporter of ex-Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, and records political videos as a “hobby.” Story continues below advertisement His YouTube channel, ‘Overseas view with Rahat Rao,’ has over 2,200 subscribers and offers “unbiased opinion on current issues and politics.” Days after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, Rao urged the United Nations, European Union, OIC and all the superpowers to end the Israel-Hamas war. “This war is not good for anybody,” Rao told his YouTube followers in an Oct. 15, 2023 video. “Innocent children on both sides are killed, civilians got killed, elderly people got killed.” On Dec. 2, 2022, Rao appeared on stage with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a Liberal fundraiser in Surrey. “He’s a very simple, innocent person to me,” said Pannu. Pannu and other community members have many questions including what the motive was and whether it was a random robbery or a targeted attack on their friend. “I believe police need to give a statement on what direction the investigation is going,” said Pannu. ARK Invest, Led by Cathie Wood, Sheds ARKB and COIN Shares
Key Points
ARK Invest has sold 108,751 ARKB spot Bitcoin ETF shares to balance its fund weightings.
The firm also sold part of its shares in Coinbase Global Inc.
ARK Invest, the leading investment asset management firm, has sold 108,751 ARKB spot Bitcoin ETF shares to balance its portfolio. This move by the Cathie Wood-led firm was made on Thursday, with the assets offloaded from its Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) amounting to approximately $6.9 million.
ARK Invest’s Diversification Strategy
This sale occurred just a week after ARK Invest sold 118,209 ARKB shares worth a staggering $7.76 million. In addition to this, the spot Bitcoin ETF recorded a net outflow of $22.4 million on Thursday, August 1. It’s worth noting that other Bitcoin ETFs recorded $50.6 million in combined net inflows.
ARK Invest also reduced its holdings in Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ: COIN), selling 31,517 shares ($6.7 million) from ARKW and 37,552 shares ($8 million) from its Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) on Thursday. This was the largest single-day divestment since May 7.
The firm’s latest trade filing reveals that ARK Invest sold $2.7 million worth of COIN the previous day. In total, the firm liquidated $7.93 million worth of COIN stock in July and $2.88 million of the shares in June.
This strategy is part of ARK Invest’s policy to prevent any single holding from taking up more than 10% of an ETF’s portfolio, ensuring diversity within its funds. As such, it is expected that ARK Invest will continue to rebalance its asset weightings, especially if ARKB and COIN continue to exceed the value of other holdings in the fund.
ARK Invest’s Holdings
As of August 2, ARKB was the largest holding within ARK Invest’s ARKW ETF, with a weighting of approximately 10.6%, representing $142.4 million. Coinbase share COIN, on the other hand, represents only 6.7%, making it the fourth-largest holding in the fund with a total worth of around $90.4 million.
However, COIN is ARK Invest’s largest holding in its ARKF fund, with a 9.7% stake worth $77.4 million. The other top three holdings are ARK’s own spot Bitcoin ETF (ARKB), Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA), and Roku Inc (NASDAQ: ROKU) shares, with weightages of 11%, 10%, and 8.4% respectively.
Meanwhile, Coinbase recently released its Q2 2024 earnings report, outperforming Wall Street analysts’ expectations. While analysts predicted a total revenue of $1.4 billion, the firm posted $1.45 billion amid a broader market boom.
Coinbase’s subscription and service unit generated a massive $599 million in revenue, pushing the company’s net income to $36 million. This is a significant increase from Q2 2023 when the unit generated $335.4 million, and Q1 2024 when the unit generated $510.9 million.

What to know about Doe v. Crawford
IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF MISSISSIPPI -- NORTHERN DIVISION
November 12, 2023
JANE DOE, Plaintiff, v. CHRISTOPHER PEYTON CRAWFORD, Defendant.
CAUSE NO. 3:23-CV-560-CWR-LGI
ORDER Defendant Christopher Peyton Crawford has moved to seal this case. Docket No. 5. After reviewing the arguments against the applicable law, the motion will be denied. I. Factual and Procedural History Jane Doe alleges that Christopher Peyton Crawford is liable to her for unlawfully sending an intimate image of herself to another person. Docket No. 1. In other words, this is a “revenge porn” case. See Boris Burghardt & Leonie Steinl, Sexual Violence and Criminal Justice in the 21st Century, 22 German L.J. 691, 694 & n.19 (2021) (describing revenge porn as a form of “image-based sexual abuse”). According to the complaint, Doe and Crawford engaged in a consensual sex act in October 2022. Docket No. 1 at 2. Crawford apparently took a photo of Doe during that encounter. Id. Three months later, Crawford texted the photo to another person, without Doe’s consent. Id.
2 Crawford denies the allegations and has counter-claimed against Doe. He says, in essence, that she has inflicted emotional distress upon him by filing this extortionate lawsuit. Docket No. 8. The truth of the matter has not been ascertained. This case is in early stages. Although revenge porn is nothing new, the federal law prohibiting it is. In 2022, Congress established a cause of action for non-consensual disclosure of intimate images. See 15 U.S.C. § 6851. That means people now have much greater leeway to bring revenge porn claims in federal court than they used to. In any event, the issue today is whether Crawford can keep the filings in this case secret. He argues that public access will materially impair his defense. Docket No. 6 at 3. Specifically, he says,
Doe’s pseudonym and her allegations ag ainst Crawford work together to mischaracterize the relationship between Doe and Crawford. Doe’s identity and actual relationship with Crawford are material elements to Crawford’s defense. In other words, Crawford must disclose Doe’s identity and her relationship to Crawford in conjunction with disclosing other intimate and sensitive details to defend himself. Id. For her own part, Doe takes no position on the motion to seal.
This Court convened a hearing to consider the arguments in more detail. It announced its inclinations from the bench and promised a written ruling. This Order followed. II. Legal Standard Federal law in this area is well-established. “Once a matter is brought before a court for resolution, it is no longer solely the parties’ case, but also the public’s case.” Brown v. Advantage Eng’g, Inc. , 960 F.2d 1013, 1016 (11th Cir. 1992). “Judicial records are public records. And public records, by definition, presume public access.” Binh Hoa Le v. Exeter Fin. Corp., 990 F.3d 410, 416 (5th Cir. 2021).
3 “The public has a common law right to inspect and copy judicial records.” Bradley on behalf of AJW v. Ackal, 954 F.3d 216, 224 (5th Cir. 2020) (quotation marks and citation omitted). “This right promotes the trustworthiness of the judicial process, curbs judicial abuses, and provides the public with a better understanding of the judicial process, including its fairness, and serves as a check on the integrity of the system.” Id. (cleaned up).
The public’s right of access, however, “is not absolute.” Id. “In exercising its discretion to seal judicial records, the court must balance the public’s common law right of access against the interests favoring nondisclosure.” S.E.C. v. Van Waeyenberghe, 990 F.2d 845, 848 (5th Cir. 1993) (collecting cases). “[T]he rele vant facts and circumstances of the particular case” must be considered. Nixon v. Warner Commc’ns, Inc. , 435 U.S. 589, 599 (1978) (citation omitted).
After considering these factors, “the district court’s discretion to seal the record of judicial proceedings is to be exercised charily.” Van Waeyenberghe, 990 F.2d at 848 (quotation marks and citation omitted). “[C]ourts should be ungenerous with their discretion to seal judicial records.” Binh Hoa Le, 990 F.3d at 418 (citations omitted). III. Discussion The first question is simple: why is the Court scrutinizing an unopposed motion? The answer is simple, too: federal law does not permit parties to seal a document or a case by agreement. The Fifth Circuit has rejected so-called “stipulated sealings” in which “the parties agree, the busy district court accommodates, and nobody is left in the courtroom to question whether the decision satisfied the substantive requirements.” Id. at 417. Judges must instead independently examine whether sealing a document or a case comports with the Firs t Amendment and common-law standards of public access to public records. Id.
4 This scrutiny indicates that Crawford has not met the high standard necessary to keep this case from the public. He has not set forth “clear and compelling reasons” why this case should be shielded from the public. L.U.Civ.R. 79(b). First, even after the hearing, the Court does not see how Doe’s “identity” is material to Crawford’s defense. Docket No. 6 at 3. Congress’s new revenge porn law does not establish an “identity” defense. It does not require disclosure of a plaintiff’s name. The statute instead expressly permits courts to “mai ntain[] the confidentiality of a plaintiff using a pseudonym.” 15 U.S.C. § 6851(b)(3)(B). At least at this early juncture, the Court also does not understand Crawford’s argument that his “actual relationship” with Do e is an element of his defense. Docket No. 6 at 3. Congress did not exempt persons from revenge porn liability because they were engaged in a one-night stand, were “friends with be nefits,” or were in a long-term, committed relationship. See Laura A. Rosenbury, Friends with Benefits?, 106 Mich. L. Rev. 189, 208 (2007) (defining the term). Nor is marriage a defense to a revenge porn claim asserted under § 6851. It became apparent at the hearing that Crawford and Doe are both sensitive to the possibility of embarrassment if friends or family learn of these allegations. But every case, civil and criminal, presents a risk of embarrassment to one or all involved. Creating an “embarrassment exception” to the First Amendment would swallow the general rule of public access to public records.
In addition, in this particular case, the filings make clear that Crawford and Doe are presently engaged in other litigation against each other in State court. That suit is being conducted in the public record. So too should this suit.
5 There are compelling interests in secrecy when a case involves a minor. See Bradley, 954 F.3d at 229. Certain trade secrets and national security matters can and should be kept confidential. See Binh Hoa Le, 990 F.3d at 417 and 419. Some banking materials are secret by law. See 31 U.S.C. § 5318(g). But these are exceptions to the general rule of public access to public records. And in these circumstances, the parties have not put forward anything sufficient to remove this case from the default expectation—that the public has a right to see what goes on in its courts. IV. Conclusion The motion is denied. SO ORDERED, this the 15th day of November, 2023.
