It's frustrating that you can come up with the plot of an entire fic in just a few seconds, but writing it all down can take anywhere from never to forever.

Please, for the love of god, please don’t be this person. No matter how long it’s been since an update, no matter how many unfinished stories are sitting on their account, no matter what - do not be this person.

Not only is it insanely rude, but you also do more damage than you think be being such a self-entitled ass about something someone created for free and for fun. “This author” can see what you say.

So Hokey Wolf and Ding-a-Ling are about to go for some diving when the scene is as follows (apologies Damon Runyon):

HOKEY WOLF, making clear the point of the whole: Now mind you, Ding, this experience with my gal Harmony Wolf is going to be a mystery sort of dive; you can never know what to expect in advance here! DING-A-LING, in his hyperjuvenile exuberance: You mean to explain, Hokey, that we're going on a dive whose objects are all the more unlikely? HOKEY WOLF: You could say as much, Ding; and besides, my gal Harmony can certainly get to be all the more attractive sort of wolf underwater! [Whereupon Ding-a-Ling goes into a wolf whistle to show appreciation for his--howbeit imagined--perception of Harmony Wolf's looks, prompting this rebuke from Hokey:] Ding, enough with the wolf whistle routine! It's getting hackneyed, and besides, such is a gross disparagement upon us of the lupine race! [And at any rate, Hokey and Ding-a-Ling arrive in the presence of Harmony Wolf, who can't help but show wonderment at Ding-a-Ling as much as Hokey in preparing for the dive, especially wearing but herself. Based on some rumblings I heard, I ended up quickly throwing together a fun little WIP bingo sheet! I'll admit I largely wrote the prompts for writing, but I think a good number of them should also apply to art!

Ultimately, the goal is to have fun, and finish whatever WIPs you can (without burning yourself out or having a bad time). If you needed a sign to pick up that project you've been putting off, the time is now!
