A real conversation I had with my sister about Green Lantern…

Me: (talking to my sister) You said the Green Lanterns are like space cops right?

Sis: Yup.

Me: Then why do they suck at their job?

Me: Like, they let Krypton explode and let everyone on Tamaran get enslaved.

Sis: The GL core is like one cop watching over all of New York City, Things are gonna fall through the cracks.

Me: Those are some big-assed-cracks… but doesn’t every planet have, like, 3 green lanterns?

Sis: Nope. Those three are for the entire solar system.

Me: 3 guys for 8 planets?!

Sis: Yup. Like I said, things fall through the cracks.

Btw if you liked Wayne Family Adventures you'd love Impulse (1995)! It's a found family story with a neurodivergent main character. Impulse (Bart Allen) is part of the flash family but you don't need to know too much about the flash family to get into it as most important information will be told to you as it becomes relevant

Ah um thanks for the rec, but I’ve been reading comics since the 90s and am already super familiar with Imp! He’s one of my favorite little speedster gremlins. I’m pretty familiar with most of the DC universe. Maybe actually less of stuff from the last five or six years, cause I’ve fallen off with my Wednesday releases, but most things from the 90s to 2018. I may like Marvel, but DC was where I lived.

And Young Justice especially, was the first comic book series I ever picked up. These dumb kids mean the world to me

Today's my birthday, which means I get to be self-indulgent and post art of my favorite fictional little man! \o/ And I do mean self-indulgent - this one was such a delight to make every step of the way. I'm always excited when I get commissioned to make papercraft art of Jiang Cheng, and even more excited when I get to craft him some beautiful robes, show off his Zidian skills, and spatter him with a little blood! I was especially happy with the paper for Zidian - it's holographic irl, and reflects all sorts of vibrant blues and coppery pinks when tilted. It really looks like lightning flashing as JC strikes!
