The dove twitched in his sleep. He blinked awake, still sort of out of it, not realizing where he is. It felt…soft. Although the colors weren’t home…

A suddenly pain hit his stomach and he curled in on himself on his side and groaned.

-> Egg perked up at the noises and got up from the little chair in the guest bedroom, hurrying over to Follower. "Follower? What's the matter?" -> Wait- That was Egg's voice. Why was Egg here?

-> Huh? A group of star children were circling around.... Something. Dammit, why did Star need to be away when something like this is happening? - @stargazers-paradise [STAR CHILDREN] [It begins :)]

Follower tilts his head, rubbing his eyes. He let out a yawn as he walked over. He never understood the star children fully. Of course, they were children.

He stood over them, being careful that to startle them.

The dove yawns and stretches. He feels the bed around him for Star but is unable to feel him. He opened his eyes and yawned again.

Getting up and fluffed up his feathers and tiredly started to look for his fiancé. What he didn’t notice is that he was asleep for the whole morning.

-> Most of the prince's little accessories were still left within the bedroom. Jacket hanging off a chair, all of his little jewelry pieces in their proper places and his little mask resting on the desk in the bedroom. -> The prince himself however was up in the observatory room, one of the considerably larger rooms within the palace. Star seemed to go in there whenever he wasn't feeling the best...

the beat of wings could be heard from a distance and then a crash. Seems like something crashed into the garbage…

my top bit of advice going into the new year: compliment people. especially strangers. literally everyone you interact with if you can. when you buy coffee in the morning compliment the barista's tattoos. when you're chatting with a coworker tell them that by the way you like their outfit. always find something they've chosen to do on purpose. nail polish, jewellery, tattoos, hair colour/style, statement accessory, outfit, etc are all good bets. things people hope will be noticed. things that aren't too personal so it doesn't make them uncomfortable (eg probably not their physical features). i've gotten into the habit of scanning everyone i talk to for something about them that i think is cool so i can tell them. it's a great habit because it makes me notice people and realise just how many neat little details there are in people's presentation of themselves that might pass me by if i wasn't paying attention. and it brings out so much joy. you'd be surprised how much it disarms people to receive an unexpected compliment from someone they don't know. it is the most sincere smile you will see all day long. it feels nice to make people happy but it also means you win the social interaction. establish dominance by complimenting a stranger's earrings and disappearing into the fog

Follower hums in acknowledgment, his face a little red from the whole situation. Not that he didn’t mind…he just wasn’t used to having nice things…

He went over to the bathroom to go get changed, locking the door behind him just in case.
