verified ways to donate to gaza directly
[this post is outdated. up-to-date version here.]
Donate to a Palestinian family directly:
gazafunds.com - Donate directly to a Palestinian family in urgent need of evacuation, medical treatment, daily necessities or more. Site run by Palestinians, all GFMs verified (full list here). Spotlights 1 stagnant GFM at a time. (*If you can't decide who/where to donate, just go to gazafunds.com & donate to the 1 GFM they show you!)
masterlist of 200+ verified Palestinian families' GFMs: Operation Olive Branch
Help provide tents:
The Sameer Project: Currently providing tents & transport for families in Rafah who urgently need to evacuate to Deir Al Balah. Has a team on the ground in Gaza who have supplied tents to 1% of the displaced population in Rafah. Run by Palestinians. (paypal) (gfm)
@helpgazachildren: Currently helping Palestinians in a refugee camp in Rafah flee the Rafah invasion to Khan Younis. Funds go directly to Hussam, a Palestinian in Rafah who hosts a refugee camp. Funds will cover the cost of tents & transport fuel. Managed by a Palestinian @.fairuzfan. (gfm)
Food:
Care for Gaza: Palestinian charity on the ground in Gaza distributing food, cash, medicine & other essentials to displaced families. Proof of their work found on their Twitter. (paypal) (gfm)
We Feed Gaza: Team of Palestinian volunteers in the heart of Gaza distributing food & water to 344+ families. More details & proof in their gfm. Vetted & promoted by LetsTalkPalestine on IG. (gfm)
Direct Aid for Gaza: A Palestinian activist on the ground in Gaza distributing food, cash & other essential supplies to displaced families. Proof of their work found on their twitter. (paypal) (gfm)
Water (*urgent and crucial!)
Gaza Municipality: The official Municipality of Gaza is doing vital, life-saving work to rebuild the water pipes in Gaza City to restore access to clean water & waste management services for the people of Gaza.
eSIMs (*very urgent):
guide to buy & send esims to gaza
Crips for eSims for Gaza: donate any amount to this team of volunteers who pool funds to buy & maintain gaza esims regularly (see their financial accountability document).
Medical Aid:
Gaza Wound Care: Palestinian doctors in central Gaza treating injured/sick children & mothers in neglected displacement camps far from hospitals. Facing a severe shortage of medicines, equipment, and medical supplies. Currently raising funds to support their efforts to battle infectious diseases in refugee camps. (gfm) (paypal) (gogetfunding)
international charities: Palestine Red Crescent Society, Palestine Children's Relief Fund, Medical Aid for Palestinians
How to help if you can't donate:
Share & amplify Palestinian fundraisers in your irl & online circles
Organize or help to run an online/irl event to raise funds for Palestine
Boycott
Get involved with a protest/strike/direct action in your area
Contact your reps
Educate yourself & others both irl & online
Daily clicks on Arab.org
(you can even adopt 1 fundraiser campaign to regularly boost it & make materials promoting it online, or print posters/flyers about Palestinian fundraisers to encourage others to donate. (poster/graphic about gazafunds.com: here, flyers about esims: here, flyers about gazafamilyfunds: here)
(longer masterpost of all ways you can help)
(*all these links and more now in this rentry page. will no longer be updating this post, instead refer to the rentry page)
Last updated 3/6/2024 with Gaza Wound Care & We Feed Gaza. Wanted to focus on Palestinian-run grassroots initiatives that will actually reach Gazans on the ground, so all of these except eSIMs, PCRF, MAP are by Palestinians. Donating to international orgs is not ideal rn as aid is still being stopped at the border. Please focus on Palestinian-run initiatives on the ground in Gaza.
Remember, small donations really do add up. Any amount counts, even $1!

I'm not a psychologist or a politician or anything approaching an expert about literally anything except a few specific video games but I feel like so many people wouldn't be agonizing over the moral implications of one (1) vote if we as the less-than-uppest-of-upper-crust had the ability to meaningfully affect change in ways other than 'spend money/do not spend money, vote for the red or blue tie'

What can you even say to this?
TWs for death, child death, blood, and things of that nature. I’m not sure what other tags would help

I’m aware I don’t have many followers, but I’d like to offer something where if you make a donation towards Palestine you can get a drawing from me! Anything helps, from a dollar or two to larger donations.

how come you do post much about gaza?
assuming you meant don't*? because this makes no sense otherwise? anyway
that you don't see my activism doesn't mean it isn't happening. tumblr is a terrible platform for activism, so I don't use it for that
#i won't pull up donation receipts for a fuckign tumblr anon#i won't sit here and try to explain that tumblr activism is typically restrained to tumblr. people rb the posts and never do anything else#people here notoriously do not click on links#so what i do. what i donate. where i protest. my household's boycotting. i do it and i talk to people about it but i don't do it here#because it won't do jack shit here and i'm trying to connect with people who might actually participate. for tangible results#sorry if that sounds Angry. it's because it is.#if y'all want to free palestine then you have to participate more than just reblogging. boosting voices is good but it takes more than that#tumblr rbs don't put pressure on politicians. they don't fund relief efforts. they don't pay for esims. they don't demonstrate organized#support for palestine in a Visible Manner to your city or state or country#they aren't disruptive#that's why you don't see me post on here. i'm trying to concentrate my efforts where they might do something#NOW. before you come for my throat. obviously there is nothing wrong with circulating posts about aid and resources to help#but then you should really consider like. contributing to those resources. that's key. that's the point. and some people here do! great!#i just. am more likely to be able to find and reach people who do in other places#maybe i should've said all that in the post instead of the tags but i really don't want to bring a bunch of misunderstanding down on myself#asks answered#'i wont sit here and explain' and then i did. damn

I am born in this country, a gift from my immigrant grandparents, to be Free and safe and whole. I wake in my bed each day and do not even think to be relieved I will never know my grandfather's hunger, my grandmother's fear. I am born in this country (where I am Free) and I walk grocery aisles and wonder how many soda cans it costs to build a bomb. how many more for the plane that drops it? I make bread in my home (where I am Free) and imagine blood in my flour. the bodies of over fourteen thousand children in my kitchen. the IOF leaves bombs meant to look like cans of food in the streets for children to find, did you know that? isn't it funny? isn't is vile? doesn't it make you want to look away? the genocide in our mouths, our throats, our bellies, filling us to choke while we massacre children mothers fathers brothers sister cousins neighbors friends. a nation and people starving on our Freedom. I hope God weeps for this country that claims His blessing. I hope He looks upon us and vomits in disgust. I hope our children never forget, and I hope they never forgive us, centuries after Palestine is freed.

on the topic of people taking advantage of the genocide in Palestine to turn themselves a pretty profit, why does everyone else have to buy esims if they're a purely digital process? what's stopping companies from providing that shit out to the people in need exactly? and more importantly, how do we know the esims we donate even get to where we want them to go? what stops a company from just pretending or lying?

kill yourself Zionist and stay the fuck off my blog.
i’m gonna assume you already know the basic principles of combustion engines: intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust. in standard piston engines, all of the space in the cylinder handles all of those jobs. rotary engines are similar, but each of those jobs occur in different parts of the housing.
the most important parts to know are the rotor, which is the triangle part everyone jokes about, which has three, convex faces, the housing, which is a weird oval shape (also called a epitrochoid!) and is specifically designed so that the three tips of the rotor will always be in contact with it, and the output shaft, which has these lobes on it which the rotor is mounted onto. the housing also contains the exhaust port, and the center piece of the housing contains the intake port.
so, rotary engines use the same four-stroke cycle that piston engines use, they just go about it in a really funny way! as the rotor rotates throughout the housing, it creates three chambers that change size throughout the revolutions, not unlike how the up-down motions of pistons change the size of their chambers as they move.
air/fuel enters the engine through the intake port when the rotor passes by it, and that chamber gets progressively bigger until the peak of the rotor passes, at which point it is sealed off. after that, the volume/chamber begins to shrink and the air/fuel mixture gets compressed as the face of the rotor gets closer to the spark plugs. yes, plural! rotary engines have 2 spark plugs instead of 1! the rotor’s face reaches the spark plugs and then we have combustion! combustion creates gases that need to expand, and the chamber for that grows as the rotor continues along its way. this is where power is created btw! eventually the rotor passes by the exhaust port, all of those gases leave the chamber as exhaust.
here’s a gif from wikipedia if you’re a visual learner:
Tumblr media
rotary engines are super neat! their most well-known usage has been in mazda sports cars, mainly the rx-7 and rx-8 (fun fact: the rx stands for “rotary experiment”!) but also from the legendary mazda 787b herself. they’re not the most efficient or reliable engines, but they’re beautiful in and of themselves and i’m so excited that mazda has continued to carry on the legacy of the rotary. i can’t wait to see what we do with this technology in the future :DD

If somehow you haven’t seen by now, while the Super Bowl is being aired, Israel is striking Rafah.
The people of Palestine had been told to go there, they were promised it was safe.
And while this is happening, even though earlier several tags on Palestine were trending, only one or two are now.
I haven’t written any posts personally on Palestine myself. I didn’t feel I had anything to add here aside from reblogging and boosting whatever I can but please. We can’t forget Palestine or its people especially now.
This has gone on too long and gone much much too far MANY times and now is when we need to push harder.
Many of the heads of Western countries are either beating around the bush and wasting time, or outright denying the things the Palestinian people don’t have the privilege to ignore. They don’t have the choice to look away from their pain, or the pain of friends, family, neighbors, their country. And even through all of this they’re still trying their damn hardest just to live. And we all need to listen.
So now, especially if you live in a western country like I do, now we step it up a notch. Now is the time if you haven’t already to read up on Palestinian history. Listen to what the people of Palestine are saying. Hold firm on the boycott like never before. Any and every way you can donate, do it. eSIMs, aid, anything that will reach. Save as much evidence as you can. Videos, articles. Don’t let Zionists pretend all of this never happened.
Even if you think there’s nothing you can do, I’m telling you, keep going. Even if you feel you can only give a little, if we all give a little together it becomes much more.
Hit imperialism where it hurts. In the wallet. Follow the BDS instructions, find protests in your area if you can, boost as much information about Palestine as you can find, call your reps, and do not lose hope. The people of Palestine are not dead. They are holding on even through all this and we all owe it to them to do the same.
A Free Palestine will happen in our lifetimes. But it will be hard fought. So go out there and fight hard! The governments can’t hide from their own people forever. The companies can’t bleed cash forever. The people will win. So push until we do. Do not look away. Free Palestine

if youre able to PLEASE donate to: the palestine childrens relief fund, the mersal foundation for charity and development, buy an esim, shaymas immigration fund, ahmeds kofi and paypal fund (his gofundme is unfortunately having issues at the time of writing this, donating directly to his kofi/paypal can still help)
[ ID: a digital poster which depicts two peoples outstretched arms holding dirt in their hands, out of the dirt is an olive tree sprout growing. behind the hands is a dove flying, and below are more doves flying over mountains which have the pattern of a kufiya on them drawn in green. at the bottom of the mountains are red poppies. there are clouds in the sky that are red, with a red sun drawn above the crest of the mountains. below the poster is text that reads "palestine will be free". the drawing is done in red, white, black, and green colors as a reference to the flag of palestine. /END ID]

So you might've noticed I've been inactive lately. It's not because of art block, I've actually been drawing a lot recently. It's because of Palestine. Because I genuinely fucking despise how little attention has been on Palestine, how Tumblr has just moved on. The genocide is still ongoing, but it feels like Tumblr has just stopped caring. Palestine isn't a fucking trend. Taking a break is different than completely diverting your eyes to return to fucking shitposting.
So, I'm effectively holding my art ransom. If you send me a receipt showing that you donated as little as a dollar to the PCRF, or to CareForGaza, or that you bought an eSim, or that you have donated to help free Palestine in general, I will post one piece of art/sketch I've done. Hell, I will take art requests if you donate five dollars or more.
You wanna see my art again? Donate to Palestine. Or hell, encourage someone else to donate to Palestine if you can't yourself. Time's running out, and Palestine NEEDS support. Pay up, bitches. Free Palestine.
