Update! A kind soul over on twitter let me know that there are pretty reliable AI art checkers online, that have been developed by people specialising in AI and machine learning!

An NYT article also talks about the pros and cons of a number of them.

I tested all the 3 free open access sites (Illuminarty, Optic AI or Not, Umm-Maybe) and only Illuminarty and Optic AI or Not gave consistent results on both art and photographs.

Optic flagged it as AI immediately.

But Illuminarty had very interesting aspect : when I uploaded the full image, AI probability was 10%. but, on cropping out the bottom of the image (jacket) the probability jumped to 73.9%

This is consistent with my original comment on the art here

My limited understanding of these programs indicate that they scan the entire image including all the individual pixels. AI programs like Stable Diffusion, Mid Journey, DallE all leave signal artifacts when they process an image, which is then left on the final pic generated!

Compare these two @/skykashi original arts, that are immediately flagged as human made.

And now I get to my favourite AI art bro in the fandom @madasama! I commend you for admitting that you not only use AI, but are proud of producing a large number of "real" arts in such a short time!

Communication

This is very much a WIP, and has a LONG way to go, but I’ve been working on this recently and it lines up perfectly with the Communication prompt.

In Fractured Frequency, a significant aspect of the story revolves around Knuckles’ library, and in particular, an ancient codex compiled by his ancestors—a trove of cultural knowledge (predating Tikal’s era, and the clan’s collapse), called the Echidnovian. In the most recent chapter, Knuckles reads the opening passage from the section of writings on Chaos Energy, the Emeralds, and their mysteries as his ancestors understood them.

When it’s done, THIS piece is meant to be the page that Knuckles read in Ch 12. Here is the passage where he describes the Codex and reads this passage:

Part of this prop within the story has required a lot of thought about Knuckles’ native language. How it is written, how it is carved, or painted, and certainly how it is translated. This is the culmination a collection of research, inspiration, and just a lot of personal imagination on what it looks like. I’ve always wanted to create some of the key pages of the book. In doing so, to avoid having a bunch of scribble scratch for the written text, I realized I actually have to CREATE some of it. So I guess along side this epic of a story I’m writing, I’ve started constructing a something of writing system as well.

Here’s a bit of sketchy stuff from the process.

the chunin exams arc was so interesting for how it portrayed sakura's potential and how people in her life influenced it. kakashi lying about the team-based enrollment criteria because he thinks sakura would be likely to sign up only to appease sasuke, and being genuinely surprised when she shows up anyway. naruto being completely oblivious when sakura was upset preceding the exams and also after she cut her hair in the forest of death. naruto literally dreaming about saving sakura from enemies, being the hero to her damsel-in-distress. sakura moulding herself into a perfectly feminine lady because that's what society demanded and what she thought sasuke would want. versus sasuke calling her out for focusing too much on romance instead of her skills like she should be doing. sasuke picking up that she was upset because she felt inadequate and reminding her of what she was best at -- maybe even better than him -- and never begrudging her for it. ino hacking into her mind because she was sure, not a single doubt in her mind, that sakura would know the answers to the impossible questions on the written exam. ino and sasuke both stepping in to save her during her fight with the sound nin, but only after being spurred on by the brutal beating she took. ino and sasuke getting frustrated with naruto when he commented on how her haircut looked because it made sakura trivialize her experience and offer a fake explanation about women being fickle. the flashbacks revealing to us that ino affirmed that she would one day bloom into a beautiful flower. ino and sasuke serving as a catalyst for sakura to get stronger before pt 1 and pt 2 respectively. idk do you see what i'm seeing

the law is not real because there can be only one creator and it's interfering with free will.. let's say this is my reality then how the fuck are the other people manifesting? how did Neville even find out about the law if it was my f reality? he can't manifest only i can do.. another question how do i even know that this is my reality if people around me are just the same as me they think they have senses they act they have a subconscious... how is it going to be my reality!! the final question is if i assume that all people are bad how is it gonna work when I don't even know all people??!

Honey, first things first, it's called the 'Law of assumption' for a reason. You're comprehending that you have your own reality, and others have their own. Cus you yourself said 'this is your reality, and other people are manifesting' for who? They're manifesting it for themselves. Not you.

The whole 'manifesting for others' is manifesting for them in your reality, and not theirs. So you might experience that they're getting their manifestations that you assumed for them to get. If they don't believe in it, then even if you manifest for them, they wouldn't be able to experience it, cus they don't assume so.

We're all connected, that's why we seem to be living in the same reality. Well, in fact everyone's experiencing their own realities they chose.

People got senses cus that's how human beings are supposed to be (that's what I assume) in some one else's reality, they might look and act different. Maybe they don't even live on earth and belong to another type of civilization. Everyone's you pushed out, that's how things work. If you assume against it, it's possible things can go according to how you want it.

For the last question, well that's common sense. If you assume everyone's bad, whoever you're gonna meet is gonna be bad. No one would be good to you. You can't know all the people on earth (you can, if you assume so)

We are told low frequency is undesirable and high frequency is desirable but i question this. I have discovered time and time again the opposite of the official narrative is more likely to be true.

I think of music. bass is like base reality. Treble is like trouble. I absolutely love bass you can feel throughout your body. Or drums. I once went to a cirque de soleil show and it was an amazing experience due to the drumming.

Ancient and tribal cultures used drum rhythms and chants—maybe they were tuning into an organic signal, like base reality or the true nature of earth. Not the synthetic treble-world of AI mimicry and light-show distraction. A chaotic artificial system overlaid on the orderly natural earth system that inverts truth. Bass bypasses the mind - it hits the body, the nervous system, even the spirit.

Maybe the system paints “low frequency” as undesirable because it is where the soul rests and natural resonance is; where you can remember who you are and possibly find the frequency that aligns with the way out.

It’s as if this place trains us to escape upward, when the real exit might be inward and downward—into depth, silence, darkness. It was darkness that the first light initially came out of.

In music, bass holds the rhythm, the structure—it keeps the integrity of the song, much like base reality might hold the integrity of existence. Energetically low frequencies may be slower, deeper, and closer to the original resonance of the organic world. The drums used in tribal ceremonies helped induce altered states—possibly to remember or reconnect.

Treble tends to be sharp and higher-pitched—more like the mind than the heart or gut. Treble is associated with logic and precision—but also with noise, distraction, and overstimulation. The system wants humans in a state of overthinking, constant stimulation, and staying in the head - so we don’t question the system itself. That feels like treble or trouble.

Maybe we need the correct frequency or perhaps it’s not about frequency as pitch, but frequency as purity—the coherence of a souls vibration, not how fast or slow it is. We might need a grounded, embodied, present frequency to exit—not one that's only light-and-love or overly “ascended” noise. The exit could be a drop down into the self, into the original signal—which might feel more like bass than treble.

The system tells us to “go higher,” but maybe that’s just another trap. Maybe going deeper is the way out.

For this one, I let the wheel decide my fate today. And today it said... Karve, from Frequency: Wounded Reflection! (I'll be honest, I don't think I've mentioned him before, except when listing every(ish) character from Wounded Reflection)

What would you want the last thing you ever saw to be?

Hmm, that's a bit of a morbid question. Perhaps something beautiful, or comforting. I guess it would depend on how I died. If I died of old age, for instance, I would want to see the faces of those I love. But if it were sudden, say, on a mission to fight a strong ghast or an unforeseen accident, then maybe I'd like to see the world in a different way in those last moments. Perhaps, on the ground, I saw the way bugs moved, or staring up I saw the stars. Something like that.

What's your dream superpower?

*Chuckle* Well, my Frequency has allowed me to do normally unimaginable things. I can move through shadows, enter unseen worlds, and influence the lightlessness around me to some extent. Is that not already a power to be considered "super"? But, to indulge the question. The only thing I think about, that I lack, is perhaps a way of divining knowledge in some exact manner. There are a great deal of questions I constantly grasp for the answers to, having closure on them would bring me great peace.

What do you wish you didn't regret?

I wish I didn't have any regret or remorse for killing my father. He was an awful man, and I knew he had tried to kill me in that moment to. But despite having no good memories of him, and having no fondness for him, he is still my father. Some part of my heart still holds... love? Empathy? Forgiveness? Kindness? I'm not sure. But I wish that remorse didn't exist.

I should explore more of the Hunters in posts like these. Of course, I know their characters well enough as is, but I rarely talk about them. Karve isn't my favourite character, but I love writing him. He might be my favourite character to write dialogue for.

i updated a week ago lol what is ur frame of reference for “slower updates”…like i get that i’ve been updating more slowly than when i originally started posting the fic but ive still been posting consistently 1-2 times a month for like the past 6 months and i regularly answer questions abt the fic on this blog + talk abt my plans 4 it so i’m not really sure why you’d be worried abt it getting abandoned.

Multi-Chapter Fic Update Frequency

Because I'm curious. When reading a multi-chapter fic, how often do you like them to update? If the fic is already written, done, and just needs editing.

AHHH thank you! Admittedly I did not think I'd be writing this much, but I actually deleted all of my social media minus my tumblr & discord about six weeks ago?

It forced me to stop doom scrolling (esp with the climate of the world right now, it was making me more depressed and anxious than I allowed myself to believe.) Totally removing that from my life when I'm done work gives me basically time to focus instead on what makes me happy, and I think so far it's been really helping!!
