So many sad postings about how Spock had to spend his final years in a not-quite-right universe, watching younger versions of himself and his friends live on while he can’t be apart of it, can’t ever see his friends again. Kirk is alive and yet totally unreachable.

But against all odds! There’s Jim! His Jim!! Through time and space just to find him again. To be by eachother’s side again. His wayward sun finally dawned.

the sequence of written events in 2023 is, like:

early january (BD), the cains get home and have some winter fun after a really shitty christmas eve (WHY are you trying to go swimming? it's SNOWING, you know)

march 10-18 (PP2), tiff infects herself with a parasite and gets stuck in an on and off snowstorm in a different town, eats a dead deer, shoots a guy in the neck. denny has a weird fucking time.

[played: march 11-14, three teenage boys uncover a slime plot]

march 18 (unhooking), dr. lowe gets called to do some weird-ass surgery in the morgue and does NOT enjoy pulling a weird parasite out of the clumsy intern's organs

[played: march 31, father job marries zlob and esther in the back of the wondermart while jeb jr is going through puberty outside]

mid-may, bloodsaw wakes up in a graveyard and immediately has to get a job (thanks, angels)

late may, the cains move into the house (thanks, angels!)

early june (MLSG), bloodsaw steals a laptop and a car and runs tiff over with said car; the car breaks down fourteen hours away from home; what's this, the clowns are killing people and there's something stalking kay and denny? weird. time for a massacre (thanks, clowns)

late june (Tiff Flashes A Fed), tiff gives halverson information on peepaw so she can make sure bloodsaw legally exists

july 3-5 (AwLF), tiff tries so hard to get a letter to a teenage boy, delivers a baby, gets so fucking injured

july 10 (THA), kepler steals a golf cart so tiff has to go to canada (thanks, feds)

july 11, tiff and elton go to boris covington's house, don't murder each other, and go to tim horton's. tiff's heart stops beating. elton gets bonesmacked. the berrycloths show up to heal tiff. she lies to the police about getting kidnapped by a madman who ran off into the woods. melvin j berrycloth gets in her head (thanks, elves)

july 15 (planetarium), tiff and elton go to lake wonder. elton does shenanigans with his favorite boy and tells tiff they're going to have lunch tomorrow. tiff immediately gets sucked into a plot to find a way into the pocket dimension and then crash a party that gets very gruesome very quickly.

august 12-15? (Lubeverse 2), tiff and bloodsaw find a possum thing named lube while hunting hidebehinds in the forest. tiff starts working on an adapted interdimensional communication device and bloodsaw hangs out with lube for a while before ultimately killing them

august 16 (BCA), bloodsaw gets isekaied to the goddamn north pole, gets kissed, gets stabbed, becomes santa (not in that order)

august 18, bloodsaw calls tiff from the north pole and quits their job

august 19, tiff shows up, declares it's the anniversary of her divinity (it is), and tries to make bloodsaw take a mattress (they don't)

There’s not enough people talking about how important Stephanie is to Damian’s growth pre-Flashpoint.

Bruce had seen Damian as a beast to be tamed, Tim sees him as a ticking time bomb, and Dick is far better with him but he’s still an authority figure for Damian to combat with. But then he meets Stephanie, a college-aged girl who nobody trusts and he bullies her relentlessly and becomes inseparable from her.

She doesn’t interact with him based on his past, but on what she can see. This 10 year old just threatened to kill her? Wow he doesn’t get outside much. He’s not old enough to have seen Gremlins. What do you MEAN you’ve never been inside a bouncy house before we are fixing that immediately.

They are like cousins to each other. They poke fun at each other for being lame and stupid and Dick has to tell them both to shut up. She doesn’t see him as a project to be molded and redeemed, he’s just a kid with a crappy childhood like her and if he’s nice to her for 5 seconds she’ll do something with him to let him feel like a kid. And he doesn’t look at her and see a liability or a failure or a lost cause, like everyone she’s ever interacted with does. When he’s awful to her, it’s because he’s an obnoxious preteen boy.

And then you get the “there’s room in our line of work for hope, too” scene. Because Damian has gotten to know Steph and he can’t fathom why she’s here. She obviously has had to deal with crap and is still working through being kept on a leash by Nightwing and Oracle, but she isn’t broken like the rest of them are. Damian is surrounded by people who were molded and shaped and torn down and broken to become the monoliths that they are, and then there’s this girl who seems so at peace with herself and is constantly making quips, and it’s so foreign to him.

And she tells him that she’s in his world because she believes people are worth fighting for.

Happy do you know where the Phan ship name originates? I assume it came from the fandom then was at some point acknowledged by Dan and Phil? Also why was it that they never tagged #Phan on their tumblr posts but mentioned it by name in vids? Ty x

so i know we knew this already but god. phil really did break dan's walls down in 2009, didn't he?

and it's like. he wasn't even expecting to do so. yes, he had so much love to give and was desperate to find someone, but i don't think he ever expected to find his forever person at just 22. and yet somehow this cute emo boy in his twitter replies who loved muse and final fantasy as much as he did had burrowed his way into phil's heart.

and all of a sudden, dan was phil's entire world. he wanted to know everything that made dan who he is. for their first christmas together, he got dan a plushie from their shared favorite video game. he got another creator kicked off of the jamaica trip so dan could come with him. he convinced the bbc to let dan host the radio show with him. he's shouted his love for all of dan's solo projects from the rooftops because he knows dan puts his entire heart and soul into everything he does, and phil happens to love dan's heart and soul more than anything. he became the safe space dan so desperately needed and opened him up to a world of happiness he never could have imagined for himself at 15.

and in return, phil's gotten to watch dan grow into the incredible person he is today. yet he's still loved every iteration of dan. what a gift it must be to be known so deeply and loved through it all. i can only hope they know how lucky they are to have each other.

rotating shadowpeach dynamics and angst in my brain and wound up drawing a Peter Pan-ish AU, ft. Sun Wukong as Pan and Macaque as Captain Hook

this was mostly inspired by what I've heard about the original Peter Pan being a little darker in some areas than expected - basically take the shadowpeach backstory of 'events outside our monkey bros control force distance between the two besties, SWK basically rolls with the punches and SEM does NOT leading to one ugly blowout of a fight that permanently fucks up the bromance' and apply Peter Pan lore:

Mac becomes Wukong's tagalong/lost boy/BFF when Smol, but as time goes on, he grows up and SWK does NOT, losing interest in the friendship and sending Mac into a panic. He desperately tries to hold onto their friendship and chase after SWK, but that just backfires when Wukong lashes out. Down a hand and an eye, Macaque becomes obsessed with vengeance and continues trying to catch/kill SWK, growing up into a ruthless pirate captain

something that was just tugging on me with this idea is that in this AU, SWK's character growth basically gets surgically removed on account of the 'permanently an immature child' thing, and WOW yeah that part of the Peter Pan lore is kinda underused for angst wtf
