Now to matters at hand -

I hear people have been checking in with Bianca to see where I stand these days. You can all rest assured that I am firmly planted in the same place you last heard from me. The same place I’ve been firmly planted since last summer. While I’ve had some slight shifts over time in my “whys” or “hows” of the current situation, I never doubt my “what” and for that matter I actually have a fairly solid “why and how” theory that I’ve been continuously throwing around since last summer and every month it seems to grow more solid in its foundation.

Did my vague-ness of that last paragraph confuse you? Simple terms: N & L are together. And why is it so secret? Well that’s a theory for me to know and you to maybe find out one day. That’s it. Those close to me know what the theory is.

It all comes down to knowing how to keep things in the group chat. 😏

With that being said, I have an observation of the fandom that I need to make express. People talk crap about the Jackholes and Tif & Co for being “stalkers” or “invasive” and “not respecting privacy” but why are we not casting as much ire on the Lukolas who are exhibiting the exact same behavior. The ones who are so desperate to “break the news” that they run to Twitter or TikTok or Tumblr to post something without thinking it through. The ones who are seeing research in discord servers and posting to their platforms. The ones who are delivering news of a personal nature about Nicola or Luke on their blogs without blinking an eye - and most importantly - reporting it as fact without any of us ever knowing that it is actually fact.

I understand that you online platform is your own personal forum and no one here is trying to police you but I implore everyone to take a step back and look in the mirror. This behavior is no different from the Jackholes and if you support it than I never wanna hear you talk down on Tif and her friends again.

While I’m on the subject of talking down - can we cut the crap on the Nicola hate? I’m sorry but Jake is gay. I’m also sorry but Jake is her friend and he’s not a character that will be written off the show. If he face “triggers” you or causes a “jumpscare” please unfollow him and his friends. And no, Nicola is not a bad person when you see her hanging out with them. There is nothing wrong with a “single” 38 year old woman having friends in their mid 20s. Let’s be honest, at this point most of yall are spewing hate at her because you believe something about her that certain online creators are stating as fact and so it’s hurting your brain to see her out and about so often. THIS IS WHY WE DONT BLINDLY BELIEVE THEORIES. And regardless, it’s her life. If it bothers you that much then please move on from the fandom.

The amount of judgment in this fandom from people regarding who Nic and Luke hang around. I would like each of you to submit the following: a detailed history of your romantic relationships, a detailed history or your friendships, and a picture of yourself (not a pfp of Nic or Luke). Once I’ve reviewed all that, I will decide if you have the credentials to judge at the level in which you do.

That’s enough rambling for now and I’m sure after this some of you will never wanna hear from me ever again. But what can I say - I call it like i see it and i tell it like it is.

For now, I’m just gonna sit back and let the chips fall as they may. All will be revealed in due time and tbh none of this is worth getting upset over. I’ve faced way harder in the past 6 months. 😉🥴 I just need some of you to remember that this isn’t a reality show required to keep you entertained on a regular schedule so it may be wise to pick up some other hobbies in the meantime.

As for me, you can catch me with my nose in the Polin fanfic when I’m not working my real person job and dealing with a slew of current personal issues. If it’s fantasy you’re looking to involve yourself in, than maybe head over to AO3. What’s even crazier is that there are even tons of fics about Pen and Colin being pregnant, you know if that’s the kind of story you’re looking to live in everyday. 😏

hi anon!!! the problem in question isn't about her gender or her success but rather about the things she's proud about, and how taylor fans act like she's an angel who's never done anything bad in her entire life. she's a grown woman and should own up to her acts! of course if we nitpick, we'll see that 90% of the artists we love and adore are or have done something problematic in their life; the thing is whether or not they've admitted to being wrong

let's start with taylor's jet crisis that happened some time ago and compare it to how she contributes to the environment. sure, everyone has harmed our planet at least once in their entire life, but the thing about taylor's jets is that instead of confirming that she indeed was in the wrong and would not repeat her actions, she bought the same amount of 'carbon credit' her jets would've needed as if that would help it. she's done it one, two, three times and god knows for how many times she'll keep doing it ! let's not forget about the fact that she, allegedly, sold one of her jets after she got exposed for it AND !!! sued the guy that exposed her ... and not to mention the various controversies she's been in the past, like the whole swastika picture thing, the many many lawsuits and etc etc etc

although like i said, no artist is an angel and we shouldn't put them above our social conscience

which is worse: d20 tumblr or d20 twitter?

this is such a funny question. frankly I prefer talking with my existing friends over discord over either of them but here's a breakdown of my experience with them

d20 tumblr

feels like a more isolating experience because of the way tumblr is set up in general as a platform. I follow relatively few people here, so all my interactions are from people engaging with my art (love you mwah) or asking me questions. nearly every time I go into a d20 related tag I regret it

I think frankly I disagree with 90% of the opinions on d20 here but because I don't have to see it I can just post my art and go

feels relatively static like there's not a good way to get everyone talking about a specific transformative fandom thing instead of only what's happening in canon because it's a looser more disconnected community

allows for longer posts and the search system on my own blog is great though. I love directing people to go through my tags or archived art

d20 twitter

incredibly, astonishingly, bad at recognizing jokes for people who are fans of a comedy show

way easier to interact with people which means most of the friends I make are from d20twt...

very easy to get everyone talking about one specific thing (ie fhsonas) because of how interactive Twitter is as a platform and how quickly word spreads

downside of this^ is that every time I express an opinion someone disagrees with they tend to assume that this is a majority opinion rather than like, 3-4 popular gay asian artists speaking their mind? when I complained about fhjy 18 battle on here I got interesting and thoughtful reblogs and everyone kept it respectful meanwhile on twitter people started making vaguetweets about how people who hated the episode were morons. stuff like us joking that oisin's grandma's whole mahjong group got murked getting 200 likes VS people directly shitting on us getting 1.7k likes and people going "wait... people are mad about oisins grandma for REAL?! she was going to kill people !!" getting 2k likes. clearly there is some sort of strange authority people put on your words whether or not you're actually just trying to have fun with your friends

I did talk about this more on twitter but I am not a fan of the CRitterfication of d20twt either. feels like much of the fandom is now watching because they're megafans of the cast rather than for the story which leads to some really big toxic positivity bias and the implication that criticism of the show == direct attack on the crew and therefore on THEM because parasocial attachment. I don't think it helps that for a majority of them d20 is their first big fandom experience aside from like... kpop or tswift because they have not developed a lot of the detachment from canon + not being parasocial + ignoring opinions you don't like if they're not directly addressed at you mechanisms that people who've been around have. sorry I'm not trying to fandom elder or whatever here I'm 21 years old but I think it's incredibly hard for me to interact with people whose entire understanding of canon depend on siobhan thompson's opinions like this

tldr;

d20twt has way less reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. better for making friends. I interact almost entirely with 30-40 of my artist friends. (my) d20tumblr experience is more chill and feels like I'm doing a seminar and people come up to ask me questions afterward. more isolating but easier to do my own thing. I do recognize and am fond of a lot of you but I've made one (1) entire friend who I can talk to off platform and not just see on the dash/my notes and that's just the nature of how tumblr works as a platform (it's terrible for conversations)

as far as The Lore, let's go with:

dianna had a known love of alice in wonderland—quotes from it were used in her tumblr url (yeah, this was that era) and in a tattoo that she had

at some point in here, not exactly sure when, dianna wore a "likes girls" shirt on the glee tour and then was seemingly punished by being kept out of the show for a couple days and apparently forced to make a vague statement about how she wore the shirt for "support." people who were into glee stuff at the time can tell u the actual details on that

taylor wrote the song wonderland around the time they stopped being seen together; it was about a tumultuous relationship and described everything using alice in wonderland allusions and quotes

dianna deleted her tumblr and HAD HER TATTOO REMOVED.

there is a lot where this came from as well. some of The Lore has to be taken with a grain of salt, especially because some bad actors and intense conspiracy theorists have gotten involved in these theories (they periodically appear in my inbox spewing complete nonsense that is also somehow deeply offensive as well.) a lot of the old timelines that people put together have been taken down, or frequently lead to dead links. but they were there! I saw them!

also want to leave you with one more thing that is lore but also music: the devastating lover-era can't stop loving you cover performance, from what could be called the kaylor breakup era. (see also: cornelia street live from paris, where again her voice is breaking and she's inexplicably wearing black despite being in the rainbows and pink and blue era)

Hi! I saw your post about RY assigning TSwift songs to some of the characters, and I don't really know how to use Tumblr and couldn't figure out how to reply so I'm doing it here...! Just wanted to say that Bodhi's song also makes me nervous. I know there's speculation that there's a family betrayal in OS and I'm curious if it could be Bodhi betraying Xaden for power. I could see Cat making a deal with Bodhi for a crown. I really don't like that theory, but I'm throwing it out there. Would love your thoughts!

An author is, of course, the ultimate authority on her characters. But based on what we have of Bodhi’s character so far, I would be surprised if he’s the “familial betrayer.” Less surprised after the Swifting of these characters, but I still believe he’s loyal. The only way I can see him betraying Xaden is if Xaden is no longer acting in the best interests of their people. Which is not out of the question. Already Xaden has done things that are for Violet that aren’t in the interests of their people. Choosing to ward Basgiath instead of Aretia for instance - a decision he makes before he reaches. And the reach itself is not in Tyrrendor’s interest, only Violet’s. Or really - no-one’s in the end because the venin were never going to kill her. Bodhi in general seems the opposite of power hungry, and I can only see him ruling a free Tyrrendor if Xaden abdicates or dies. He’s been raised from birth to support his cousin and unless there’s an incredibly compelling reason to stop doing so, I believe he still would.

As far as speculating how the song ties into OS, @softodettes and I had bandied back and forth that the longing the lyrics invoke could be because Bodhi travels to the isle kingdoms with Violet as “Xaden” because of Xaden’s venin predicament. (It’s stated over and over again how strongly they favor one another.) And that his feeling of being on the outside may be because he meets Xaden’s mother in the isles and has to continue to pretend he’s Xaden for the sake of negotiations. That would stir up a lot of memories and longing for his own mother, I’d think. He also strikes me as someone who doesn’t like to lie unless it’s absolutely necessary, and it could be the lie is putting barriers between him and those we meet in OS or even his loved ones back home. Perhaps his “betrayal” is saying yes to Violet. Traveling to the isles in Xaden’s stead when we all know he would want to be there.

When it comes to the “familial betrayal,” my money is on the Sorrengail siblings with Brennan currently earning a slight edge due to some suspicious goings on and the fact I personally believe Naolin is with the venin. If Brennan finds out he’s still alive…I don’t have warm fuzzies about what he’ll do.

Ok i've been thinking about this for awhile and the core of it is that taylor is the best example of a Sacrificial Bitch, or a woman who is bad or annoying or popular enough (or a mix of all 3 e.g. taylor swift) that most if not all misogyny and misinformation surrounding her is left unchallenged or directly supported by a group (specifically here I mean tumblr) or when it is pointed out and has to be acknowledged, it is acknowledged with multiple asterisks that the woman is indeed a Stupid Bitch and we Do Not Respect Her (the taylor swift AI rape art discussion from earlier this year, the stabbing at a tswift dance party/barely foiled terrorist attack at her vienna show)

The most annoying part of a lot of these is that they are usually a seed of truth (taylor over-pollutes by using private jets or makes an annoying amount of variants to hold her chart position) before spiraling out of control (the numbers on the jets pollution output being revealed to be massively overinflated because the people who did the math never actually researched what kind of jet she was using, 64 fucking variants come on guys) or just getting kind of weird and self aggrandizing (not giving charli the #1 album by releasing variants is antifeminist? what do you think feminism is?) and ends up coming off as taylor being more a useful figure of ridicule

Like I guess I am a fan which makes me a bit biased, but as has been discussed before, taylor swift has a weird sort of gas leak effect on pretty much anyone who thinks about her too hard whether they lover her OR hate her and at least I know im being supid and insane most of the time and dont think that enjoying taylor swift is some sort of moral high-ground that people treat loving OR hating her as. Shes literally just a celebrity and artist who writes songs and performs them! And there HAS to be constructive ways to discuss and critique her that dont turn into embarassingly obvious misogyny (people trying to argue she doesnt write her own songs as if being a songwriter isnt like the basis for her entire career and again being easily researched and debunked? Prince Alex is sitting under the tree in the garden where all those years ago he had chased his friend, in kitten form, in an attempt to get him down, when Royal Earl Fox, or Arthur, which it took Alex years to actually call him, finds him. He looks up and attempts a smile, but it must have appeared as sad and forlorn as he feels because the look Arthur gives him makes him want to curl up in his arms and cry. “I figured I might find you here. You’ve not been secretive the last few years about using this place to think. I always assumed that most of that thinking was about my son.” Alex’s attempt at a joking, “Pip?” falls flat. “Laugh it up, mister; we both know it’s my youngest, you think about. I would guess fairly regularly.”
