Hello there! I'm Ashe.

I’m a transgender (FTM) writer, digital artist, streamer, and college student. I made this tumblr account back in 2020 (shoutout to those who remember me going by Ashe Winterwald), and since things have been crazy recently, I have decided to revive it. I’m basically starting fresh and I am also switching my streams from Twitch to YouTube for similar reasons. Hopefully I can find many more lovely inkblots. 🖤

Anyway, as I mentioned above, I write stories for LGBTQIA+ otakus, make digital art (usually of my avatar, friends, or OCs), review manga, and stream while I do most of those things. At this point in time, my main goals are to hone my skills as an artist and writer, meet and learn from other creatives, and develop an audience. I have managed to finish writing a novel titled The Rise of The Dragon Queen, but my focus has shifted and I have been interested in trying out drawing webcomics or manga-like graphic novels. We'll see what I end up doing eventually.

Currently you can find my stories over on Royal Road, Wattpad, and Honeyfeed. I upload my manga reviews to YouTube and I will soon start streaming there too. I have not settled on any webcomic platforms yet, but if you have one you’d like to suggest, please let me know!

Emma had originally been planning to stream today, but a certain (mostly) unforeseeable event had thrown a spanner in those plans. Last night, when going to the bathroom before bed, you'd discovered that your period had arrived... 2 days early! yay! Upon hearing the news Emma had cancelled their plans to devote their attention to making sure you were happy and comfortable, or at least as happy and comfortable as you could be. Originally you'd wanted Emma to carry on with her stream but she had insisted that caring for you was more important and that her fans would be understanding.

Now you lay curled up on the couch watching some true crime documentary while Emma busied himself in the kitchen as he attempted to make lunch for you. Key word being 'attempted'.

Emma had originally wanted to make something grand and fancy for you, even though you had promised them that that wasn't necessary, that a standard lunch would do. But Emma didn't want to settle for 'standard' or 'normal', so he scanned the couple cookbooks that were kept at the back of the counter. It took him a couple of minutes to go through each book before deciding that the recipes were far too complicated for his skill set, or the ones that seemed simpler and more possible for Emma to cook involved ingredients that weren't in stock in your kitchen. So Emma reverted back to a simpler recipe, something they knew you both liked; a grilled cheese sandwich.

With the food decided Emma got to work. She took out a pan and set it down on the stove before moving to make the cheese sandwiches, one for you and one for herself. Emma decided to cook yours first, placing one of the sandwiches into the pan first, careful not to burn their fingers, then grabbing a plate and some extra sides.

Soon enough your sandwich was done and plated and Emma's was cooking in the pan. They hadn't wanted to give you the sandwich while it was still hot so Emma added some sides to your plate and began grilling their own sandwich. After a minute or so Emma decided that your sandwich has cooled enough to be eaten and took the meal out to where you sat in the living room.

Your eyes lit up seeing your s/o and food. Emma came and sat down next to you as they handed the plate of food over to you, listening to you explain what was going on in your documentary. It didn't take long until those first few minutes of 'just bringing your food in' dragged out into 'I've completely forgotten about my own food and am now heavily invested in this documentary'.

Everything was alright to begin with. You'd made your way through half the sandwich but had now switched to munching on some cucumber sticks as the TV played in the background. Emma had nipped to the bathroom but had insisted that you not pause the TV, claiming that they'd only take a few minutes. True to her word, she was back within 5 minutes and the two of you were able to cuddle up on the couch together.

It was maybe a couple of minutes later that Emma gave a sniff. "Does something smell funny to you?"

"What kind of funny?" you questioned, sniffing the air as well now.

"Like burning, kind of funny."

That was when the alarm went off.

Emma shot up from the couch almost as soon as the sound began, startling you and causing a small cramp in your abdomen as your weighted 'blanket' ran off. She slid into the kitchen, hurrying to turn off the stove; an attempt to save the life of her sandwich.

Meanwhile in the living room, you had paused the TV as you rearranged yourself on the sofa, trying to once more find a comfortable position. A cry of 'FUCK!' from the kitchen left little to the imagination of what had happened.

Emma returned carrying a very burnt grilled cheese sandwich. A small laugh left your lips involuntarily at the situation.

"Bit well done, if you ask me." you quipped.

"Ha ha." Emma replied, sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." you apologised, raised hands in mock defence. Holding up your own plate, you motioned to the second half of your own grilled cheese. "You can have my other slice."

A smile crept over Emma's face at your offer, graciously accepting as they sank back down into the sofa next to you once more. You unpaused the TV, resuming your documentary, and settled comfortably into their side.

It had been an eventful lunch to say the least, but you were happy it had ended it the way it had; you curled up into your partner's side, lazily watching TV and sneaking the small bites of grilled cheese that were offered to you.
