Some comfort thoughts because I am sick and have the soup brain.

Mountain gets his clothes stolen by the entire pack. I mean, he gets it. They're large, warm, comfortable and make the ghouls/ghoulettes feel secure.

Mountain has a subconscious tendency to emit calming aromatherapy-esque scents (think, lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, all that good stuff) when he senses someone he loves is stressed so all of his clothes smell like these calming wonderful things.

So, there's ghouls sneaking into his room to invade his drawers all the time for hoodies, t-shirts, and sweatpants, ect. They don't just wear them, they'll tuck them into their nests because it smells like him and its comforting.

The problem is that right before tours, when there's stress and anxiety in the air from the anticipation of leaving home and the stress of being busy with tour preparations, Mountain sometimes....runs out of clothes. Like...for himself.

One day he walks into the common room after finding his dresser fucking empty and finds his pack in a pile on the floor watching a movie wearing HIS clothing.

Mountain: Guys, I love you but please, I don't even have underwear.

Rain, wearing one of his tshirts: Gosh, Mount, that sounds like a real problem.

Sunny, wearing a pair of his sweatpants rolled up 5million times: Yeah, what Rain said. I hope you figure out what happened to them.

Dew, wearing a sweatshirt so big it could be a nightgown: *looks around* anybody know what happened to all of Mountain's clothes? *snuggles deeper into the hoodie gown*

Copia, wearing a large knitted sweater with leaves and flowers on it: My ghoul, I simply have no idea.

in celebration of becoming a housewife, may I ask how do you think the ghouls act after coming home from a long tiring day? are they grouchy? are they loving?

Don’t be surprised when Mountain quite literally drags your ass to bed. After a long day all he wants is a nap, and this guy gets stubborn. The second he makes up his mind, he has also made your mind up for you. He will seek you out and take you straight to bed the second he gets his claws on you, usually it’s his bed… (he knows you like his pillows better)… but be warned, Mountain gets a bit of an attitude after a long day. Should you try to pull away from his death grip around you once you’ve settled, you will earn yourself a pinch to the side and a moody grumble to sound from the back of his throat. He can’t decompress without you. So prepare yourself for a moody earth ghoul to bury himself in your chest and fall right to sleep there for who knows how long.

A little while ago, Rain accidentally walked in on you having a bubble bath. In his defence, he didn’t know you were in there… he just followed the scent of the soaps and it led him right to you. But, of course, within seconds he was sat across from you submerged in warm water and nose deep in bubbles. Ever since then, bubble baths with you have become one of his favourite things ever, so after he has had a bit of a rough day that’s what the two of you do to help him relax a little bit. He picks the soaps he wants to use, you run the water and get the bubbles going. Rain doesn’t get moody easily, but when he hasn’t had a good day you can just see it in the way he carries himself, he gets a little more quiet than usual and he spaces out. But after soaking in the tub for a little while, with you right there, he feels much better.

We all know Dewdrop has his regular temper tantrums. But after a long day, he’s not moody… he doesn’t have an attitude… he’s not overstimulated… he actually becomes quite the opposite to his usual self. Dewdrop gets so affectionate. You see, he’s had to be away from you all day, the duties around the abbey won’t do themselves and some days it just takes all day long to finish up. So by the time he is able to come looking for you again he is just itching to wrap himself around you and block out the world. He purrs. Like… LOUD. Nobody really knows except for you and a few of the guys… but dewdrop will be snuggled into you purring so loud you’re shocked the whole abbey can’t hear him.

Swiss gets SUCH an attitude after he’s had a long day. His usual goofy self is loooong gone, instead he is replaced with the most stubborn creature you’ve ever met. He will demand head scratches. So expect to find yourself thrown into bed with his head on your lap. He gets headaches you see, and the sensation of your lovely hands and fingers caressing his head and running through his hair helps soothe the throbbing behind his eyes. He is such a grouch though, grumbling about his day and about everything that went wrong. Even if the day itself wasn’t that bad… he will sook about the smallest things. Eventually he will come around though, and after some killer head rubs he’s like putty in your hands.

Aether is also very very affectionate. I’m talking… like… next level affectionate. You’d wanna hope you don’t have any plans for the night because the second Aether finds you, there’s no getting away. He will wrap his claws around you, quite literally lift you up and carry you to his room. The door is locked, the lights are off and the room is silent except for your combined breathing and Aethers soft purrs. He has you locked in tight against him, so much so it would be foolish for you to try to wriggle away from him. He is leaving soft kisses on every inch of skin he can reach, he is lovingly rubbing small circles into your soft skin and he is scenting you like there is no tomorrow. He just needs you.

Phantom gets stuck in this space between needing your affection to help him feel better and feeling so burnt out he just wants his own time alone. Then he gets irritated because he can’t understand what his own body needs and that causes him to become a little bit grouchy. Eventually, if he can’t settle himself down on his own he seeks you out. You let him figure out what he needs in his own time, and he knows that if he needs your presence this time around then you will be there with open arms. Usually he just enjoys being around you and that’s enough to help him relax. So the two of you like to spend the rest of the night making some food, or even just getting comfy and laying on the couch together. He learnt very quickly that you’re like a safe space for him, and when you’re around he feels so much more relaxed.

like he’ll send you shirtless pics when he wakes up but he means no harm. he just wakes up that way & stretches his arm out to snap a quick pic. you’ll NEVER complain but it’s just so mmm. what’s more is that he doesn’t even think he has a great body or anything, but you drool over every picture.

when you sleep over at his house, he always wakes up before you so he can cook the two of you a nice lil breakfast.. it’s just that when you walk in & see him with no shirt & black sweats hangin from his v line, you damn near drop to the ground. he looks so fucken good with his hair shaggy & his lil puffy sleepy eyes nd swollen lips. you could DIE for this man.

omg nd when he showers, he’ll wrap the towel around his waist & not even like tuck it in. he’s just loosely holding it nd his hands look soso pretty. plus he doesn’t mind if you’re in the room or not.. he’s gonna get changed. & don’t get me started. HIS BACKKKK?! it’s not huge or anything but it’s just nice to look at; the way that his shoulder blades move nd everything. you’ll never feel ashamed for snapping a pic of it either.

when you guys go out, he will not keep his hands off of you. especially if you’re wearing a dress or a skirt..? his full attention is on you. not even just because you look good, but bc he’s making sure that shit doesn’t ride up in the slightest. if it does? he’s wasting no time in running his hands down your body & pulling it down. & he’ll give you a “be mindful, sweetheart. there’s people around” AAAHHHH!!!

you just melt at this. because deep down you know you don’t have to be mindful of shit. his eyes are on you like a fucken hawk. don’t even think abt leaving his line of sight.

kaneki also can never pull you in for a kiss normally?! like when he wants it, he’ll get it. he fucken grabs you by the neck nd pulls you in for one. either that or he’ll lift your chin up & then let his hand rest on your neck. it’s so dwkfjeksk. your mind goes hazy.

one thing abt him is that you literally don’t have to do anything but breathe around him. you’ll be trying to open a water bottle, he’ll come & open it for you. someone’ll ask you a question & he’ll answer it for you. you need to go somewhere? he’s driving you. you’re tired? he’ll carry you to the bed. going out with friends? he’s putting your socks nd shoes on for you. he’s quite literally told you “when you’re with me, you barely have to think baby” like HELLO?! stop that.

also unpopular belief but. he SENDS YOU NUT VIDS!!! like he’ll outwardly tell you he’s horny bc he doesn’t gaf abt tmi. your his partner nd 1,000% the reason he’s feeling that way anyway. so he’ll be sitting pretty in front of his mirror, making the most prettiest noises too. nd he’ll send that shit to you like it’s nothing.

Hcs - ghouls after an argument (part 2 - first part was during the argument)

Swiss: he hangs around, but doesn't really want to apologize. He also doesn't want to admit if he was wrong in the argument and hopes that the person will forgive him anyway.

Dewdrop: shows up in the middle of the night and snuggles up without saying a word. Only apologizes if he has really overdone it during the argument.

Rain: knocks on the door late night, apologize for everything a thousand times and asks sheepishly whether the person still loves him. Afterwards he needs a lot of cuddles and assurances that he is loved.

Aether: shows up again after a few hours and wants to settle the dispute calmly.

Cumulus: will apologize, but only if the person apologizes first.

Phantom: sulks in his room until the other person comes and apologizes. After that, he immediately forgives and wants to spend a cozy evening cuddling up and watching movies.

Cirrus: As a sign that everything is OK again, after a few hours she gives compliments, praises and cooks some favourite food. (only if Cirrus was wrong in the argument, otherwise the person must apologize.)

Aurora: apologizes with "I'm sorry... that you're so stupid."

Sunshine: hugs and cuddles on the couch while playing video games. (she only apologizes for deleting the highscore)

Mountain: brings flowers and invites the person to look at a particularly beautiful plant in the greenhouse. Meanwhile, carefully starts a conversation about the argument to clear it up.

Copia: sends a rat with a small letter of apology. He hangs around in front of the door and when the person leaves he tries to discreetly ask if they have read the letter yet.

First Kiss

- Cirrus just GOES FOR IT, like you’re just with her and suddenly you get body slammed with so much force that you don’t realize what’s happening until she’s holding your head against hers and her tail is curled around your thigh. She’s sorry if she scared you :(

- Aurora is really sweet about it, she’s holding your hand and walking with you when she asks “can i kiss you?” Followed by “if not that’s totally okay and i understand if you don’t want to im not offended!” When you actually kiss, her hands are around your waist and she stops every second to ask if you’re okay <3

- Cumulus kissed you while you were cuddling with her, but obviously she asked first, very politely, “is it alright if we maybe… perhaps… if it’s alright with you… maybe kissed?” Her cheeks got all red and she does little happy squirms when you say yes <33 she’s very polite and only gives you a short kiss unless you ask her for more

- Dew/Sodo is a lip biter, except he digs his fangs into your lips, he also forgot to ask and he’s very sorry… but if you whine a bit he stops biting you and instead he jumps into your arms so you can hold him :>

- Phantom is shy about it, while you’re watching a documentary about bats with him, he doesn’t wanna annoy you by rambling about them, so instead he just gives you a little peck and starts to explain how bats show affection while replicating it with you. You think it’s the cutest thing ever and he’s grinning the whole time <3

- Mountain asks if he can carry you and spins you around, then after you’re dizzy and giggling, you have a mini makeout sesh, he also gives the back of your thighs lil squeezes :<

- Swiss and you are play-fighting and he rolls you over and gives you a lil kissy. On full moons, if you manage to get into his room without Copia running after you to keep you out, he tackles you while whining and scratching at you, then just fully bites your lips, not one, but BOTH and he’s going completely crazy… Dew is the only one who can get him off of you…

- Rain’s hands get sweaty and he’s hyperventilating trying to figure out how to go about it, but when you glance over at him to ask if he’s okay, he’s like “i-uh… mhm im good! C-can i erm…” you kiss him before he finishes asking.

Rain got so intensely into calligraphy when he was first summoned. He spent most of his allowance on brush pens and work books. He constantly gave his pack mates handmade letters with the pretty loops and elegant strokes. Maybe he even made “nameplates” for everyone. He’s not so into calligraphy now, but he broke out his stationary and made Aeon and Aurora nameplates. They were so, so honored and happy to get theirs. To this day, Rain has the prettiest, neatest handwriting out of everyone. (Yes even the Papas)

the four have one big huge shared wardrobe that they all use, if stuff fits. like jet has a cool t-shirt that party steals, puts a funky belt on and wears as a dress. leather jackets and stuff are all communal. party and ghoul share the most, cause they're the closest in size.

kobra loves those silent cartoons, like tom and jerry, looney tunes, all that stuff, and he watches them with the girl all the time

while girlie's here, all of the four carry her differently. she sits on party's shoulders, jet puts her on their hip, kobra does piggybacks and ghoul will either scoop her up bridal style or firemans lift.

dew is someone that needs quiet time alone to feel better, he usually listens to music or practices a song he's a little rusty with but no matter what he has to be alone, he just cant take putting on a happy face when he's that overwhelmed. he's known for keeping a straight face almost constantly but he gets over tired and over worked very easily which he blames himself for because he never listens to the signs and pushes himself more than he should

most of the time - if not all the time - i hate talking and that's why a lot of people tend to think i dislike everyone, but is just my social anxiety, so I want some fluff about the ghoul with a reader that it's really reserved and bc of that other members from the clergy usually ignore them, please <3

Its almost as if you just took a peak into my life anon, I deal with the exact same thing.

Mountain took one look at you, one sniff in your direction, and pretty much claimed you. If anyone of the ghouls is going to get it… it’s gonna be mountain.

I mean… I feel like he is kind of the same right? He feels no desire to constantly be talking. He feels no desire to constantly be social. Those who took the time to know Mountain, understand that he will happily sit in silence and consider that bonding time.

So when he took the time to know you, you clicked right away. He sees a lot of himself in you and it’s refreshing for him to have someone who really gets it.

There’s quite a big part of Mountain that loves the quiet moments the two of you share. When you sneak away to the woods on the Abbey property, or when the rest of the ghouls are off doing whatever it is they decided to do that day, and it’s just the two of you. Alone.

For Mountain, he doesn’t see this as a challenge to find you more friends or introduce you to people to ‘help’ you. Should you want to do so, of course he would support you. But the comfort comes from knowing you can be silent, just sitting with him… or with the other ghouls or whoever it is you want to be around and do exactly that. There’s no pressure to talk. There’s no pressure to fill the silence. And every time he notices how comfortable you are with him… he feels his heart soar.

He is almost positive that you can hear it, when it’s just the two of you. Perhaps you’re curled up with him in his room, or cozied up under a nice tree on a warm day. When the two of you sit down for breakfast, still half asleep with your eyes barely open… he is just positive… that you can hear his heart beating for you.

Rain would be kind of similar. Although he definitely likes to get involved and steal the spotlight every now and then… he will never put you in a position where you feel like you need to step up for him.

Rains heart is massive, he has so much room in his life for every single friend he could possibly make. He saw you, on your own, it took one second for him to decide he was having none of that and took you under his wing. You two have been inseparable ever since.

He keeps you close. The day Rain learned you felt a sense of safety with him. It was game over honestly… you’ve not gone a day without seeing or hearing from him. He gets so excited that he is your safety net. Sometimes too excited, because he has never been the safety net before. He has always had the safety net. And when he sees just how comfortable you feel with him, he gets all fuzzy and happy and soft and forgets to settle himself.

Of course he understands that he isn’t always going to see you, and he isn’t always going to hear from you. And he can be patient, and can wait for you to feel ready to come find him again. He knows that it may take a few hours, maybe a few days. And even when he is just itching to lock the two of you in your room and crawl into bed with you and soak up your presence again… he must wait. He is a good boy though… he waits for you every time and tells you just how proud of you he is every. Time.

Dew is a whole other story. He saw you, sitting on your own and just… didn’t really understand why. Like, why aren’t you interacting with other people? Why aren’t you sitting with your friends? Where are your friends? He wants to know. He needs to know.

So he plopped down right next to you and started rattling off all the questions he could think of. It was a rough start to your friendship to say the least. But, he made it his mission to know you. And boy, did it take time. But your world and his world were so vastly different that he couldn’t stop thinking about you.

Fast forward to now, he has realised a lot about himself. And now he comes to you when he needs to step away for a bit. Dew has quite literally given you so much confidence, in the sense that he showed you that even the most popular, impulsive and out of control ghouls can drain their social battery.

He might not completely understand just how difficult it can be to put on a smile and go be social all day when you just can’t do it. But thanks to you, he learnt that it’s important for him that he spends some time away from the noise and away from the world. It’s during those moments that your worlds connect, and the two of you find a kind of peace with each other. You both found something in each other that you’d never been able to find before. And as a result, the bond between the two of you grows with every passing night.

Aether gets it too, he has his friends and his popularity among the Clergy, but Aether will always chose to spend his nights, and his free time, doing his own thing. So when he met you, he couldn’t believe someone hadn’t already come and scooped you up and away from the rest of the world. To him, you were like a dream. He didn’t need to put on a mask around you. He didn’t need to put on a smile or put up a front that would convince you he was ready for action. He could breathe a little deeper, and knock down his walls.

Much like Mountain, he finds so much comfort knowing he can just chill out and do his own thing whilst in your presence. You don’t even have to be doing the same thing, Aether could be cooking up a storm in the kitchen and you could be perched happily on an empty counter, or on a chair nearby just reading a book.

There’s no pressure to have conversation, and there is no awkwardness when it’s quiet. It’s just lovely. Aether actually finds himself craving those moments with you. When he is away on tour, or if he has duties he needs to attend to or if he has been invited somewhere and his friends are relying on his presence. He just can’t stop thinking about how peaceful it is when he is with you. The content look on your face is enough to give him purpose in life.

Swiss and you are like polar opposites. He is similar to Dew in the sense that, he is well loved among the Clergy. He has looooots of people aiming to grab his attention even for just a little moment. And there’s a big part of him that loves it. He loves the attention he gets, he thinks it’s so fun. But then he got a taste of life with you. How drastic in difference it was to his normal day to day, or life on tour. It came as quite the shock when he realised just how much he enjoyed a quiet night in.

Now, Swiss will always be a party animal. And he will always love a killer night out, but he has grown quite fond of his nights with you. He refuses to tell anyone what you two get up to when he stays in with you. He gets a little bit possessive over you, worried that everyone else will want a taste of your company too.

Which of course would defeat the whole purpose of your reasoning for preferring to stay in, and he would rather drop dead, then allow anyone on this planet to make you uncomfortable or put you in a position where you need to exhaust your social battery.

Swiss would quite literally hide you away from the world and keep your quiet little moments he has grown to cherish so much all to himself.

When Phantom was still new, and was still trying to figure out his place in the Clergy. He kind of… clung to you? Like. He felt so safe and comfortable in your presence, it was exactly what he needed while he was settling in. And it wasn’t like you two met and then talked and then became friends….

No no. Phantom literally spotted you. His ghoul boy brain just went ‘yes’. Made his way over to you and without a word… sat next to you and continued studying the rest of the room. No words were exchanged. Aside from him blurting his name out, because of course you deserved to know who was going to be your shadow for the rest of forever. It was kind of awkward, and you were confused out of your mind.

But Phantom very quickly became a rock for you. He was familiar and comfortable and safe. God he was so safe. And to him… you were his anchor during the weird period of meeting people, finding his place and getting used to performing on stage.

Even now, after he has found his footing and gotten comfortable within his life in the Abbey, you are so so dear to him and you will always be the most important person on the planet to him.
