ANON IM IN LOVE WITH YOU!!! this blog isn't abandoned, and it wont be bc giyuu is my special interest (literally just. giyuu. its kind of embarrassing lol) an I love writing. I'm just a fairly busy person and recently lost the entire outline for Of Many Colors, so I've been writing way less.

ANYWAY! of course you can have some headcanons, lovely!!

Nesting Season AU-

Giyuu is a very mellow omega, whose instincts have been mostly suppressed (something called Nulling, which can happen to anyone of any dynamic if their body shuts down for survival) so he hasn't really nested or pack bonded with anyone

he was raised by tsutako -who was also an omega- and secretly thought of her more as a mother. he was often very hurt by her joking about him being a "practice pup". as an adult he feels guilt over 'forcing' her to pretend to be his parent.

giyuu's instincts aren't fully awakened during the kamado's trial, but it's a close shot. he ends up furnishing two rooms in the water estate for the siblings but doesn't tell anyone due to a mix of confusion, shame, and defensiveness.

tsutako died when he was twelve and he stayed with his great aunt for five months before being sent away. the hunter that found him after he ran away was a friend of urokodaki's previous student, and thought that giyuu would be a good fit there.

giyuu's nesting instincts are fully kickstarted on a mission with muichirou.

 basically, they're both heavily injured during a joint mission taking place in a blizzard. mui was impaled and cant move without taking a ton of damage, and giyuu can't run due to having a dislocated hip and multiple bones in his ankles/foot broken. giyuu finds a hollowed tree to hide in- to keep the blizzard out he must build a wall of snow in the entrance. they and mui's crow are stuck there for roughly five-ish days: in that time giyuu and mui fully imprint on each other.

after that, giyuu is much more prone to aggressively taking in children- even if he's super fucking awkward about it. it doesnt help that tanjiro keeps dragging people in to visit giyuu and his newly claimed son.

the kids aren't all fully presented, only genya, aoi, and zenitsu have started the process. the alpha children are nezuko, zenitsu, kiyo & naho of the butterfly girls, mui, and senjuro. the beta children are tanjiro, inosuke, and sumi. the omega children are aoi and genya

giyuu and sabito were courting each other for a long time, as in this au they went into final selection when they were sixteen instead of thirteen. sabito’s death is what nulled giyuu; and also vaguely impeded his development as an omega. if he had lived, they would’ve become the water pillars together and bonded. 

Round Up To Five AU-

this au is overall lighthearted and tends to reflect that in the writing. the dynamic between uzui+his wives and giyuu is essentially “varying levels (all intense in their own way) of outward love and enthusiasm vs. very black and white autistic thinker who often forgets other people have Big Emotions too” 

giyuu likes uzui, even if he’s jealous of his freedom and self-surety. the girls are kind to him when he’s blunt or doesn’t respond. he enjoys being around them all- very simply put he basks in their presences. they’re all too good for him, but they never push him away. he finds he doesn't feel too guilty about staying around them either.

meanwhile the Married Crew are actively including him in a bunch of their activities. they invite him to dinner, to celebrations and missions, and even just to spend time with each of them individually. 

uzui gave giyuu his “ranking” of importance towards others lives, with his wives being the highest, giyuu being lumped in with citizens at second, then uzui last. giyuu misunderstands as he is the bottom, bc uzui didn’t specify. he of course delegates to who he believes is an actual hashira and gives his fuck-all to ensuring that the instructions uzui gave him are followed.

giyuu is a little dumb, but hell if uzui doesn’t admire a man who defends the lives of his beloveds with everything he has. unfortunately he’s also very frustrated with giyuu’s lack of care to his own life. him and his wives (who are suitably impressed with/curious about him) resolve to figure him out. 

they end up falling in love with the crazy little fuck, of course, and shortly begin trying to invite him into their marriage. 

giyuu is... kind of sure that they keep making passes at him, but none of them have actually asked him and he’ll be damned if he brings it up. if no one explicitly states that they want to marry/Romance him, he’ll just... not say anything. (if they actually asked he’d say yes at this point in the au. it’s been a few months and lots of development happens in their relationships)

the other hashira are either bewildered, amused, distinctly Unamused, or apathetic towards the shenanigans.

Kochou-Kamado Swap AU(🦋) Explanation

So! This AU has two versions. I will go over both variations. This one is gonna have a lot more spoilers for the story in general, compared to Ship Swap(💕), so be ready for that.

So! Let's start with characters!

Kanae

Kanae, similarly to canon, still lives with her parents and sister and a pretty well-off life. However, here, they live quite a bit longer. Kanae is 15(as opposed to the 7 years old she was in canon, iirc) when she comes home from spending the night at a friend's house, finding her parents dead and her little sister gravely injured. She rushed to get Shinobu to a doctor, but shortly discovered her sister had become a demon. After calming Shinobu down, Kanae comes face-to-face with a Demon Slayer(though, not Tomioka Giyuu, funnily enough). After convincing the Slayer to spare her sister, she is sent off to train to become a Demon Slayer so that she may find a way to cure her sister.

Kanae still maintains her canon attitude of demons being tragic creatures, and hoping to become friends with some. Part of that may be so Shinobu doesn't get lonely, but she will neither confirm nor deny that statement.

And during her training, Kanae is surprised to come across someone with a kind smile and an offer to help her perfect her forms.

Something I did is give Kanae the ability to see auras, something she hones as she trains. It's actually how she noticed that the swords Demon Slayers wield are not the same as your average blade.

Shinobu

Shinobu is 12 when a demon(one very familiar to her in canon), invades her home, killing her parents and forcing his blood into her veins. When she woke up, it was with hunger in her stomach and what seemed like food surrounding her. Thankfully, her mind cleared up before she hurt her big sister, driving her to protect Kanae by any means necessary when faced with the mysterious figure who was so determined to cut Shinobu's head off.

Unlike Nezuko in canon, Shinobu becomes verbal not long after her two-year slumber. It's limited, but she has help in the form of her sister and those around Kanae. Since the Kochou girls have no connection to Sun Breathing or Yoriichi, Shinobu had no reason to hold off on her mental development.

Shinobu is also quite a bit more aggressive towards demons she fights. Without use of hypnosis. Many a demon, assuming they survive the little butterfly's wrath or her sister's blade, leave the conflict looking like a cat went at them. Bite marks, claw marks, Kochou Shinobu had no mercy.

Before we get to Tanjirou and Nezuko, I want to go over my two different versions of this AU, as these two variations determine their exact backstories and who's with them as well as the Kochou sisters when the time comes.

Variation 1: Tanjirou and Nezuko are still the only survivors of the massacre. However, it's all been moved back in time, and the two eldest children are 10 and 11 when the Demon King kills their parents and siblings. The two are rescued by Himejima, and sent to Urokodaki after they recuperate from the shock and trauma of losing their family. They meet Makomo(who is a Slayer already, having barely escaped the Hand Demon with her life), Sabito and Giyuu, and become good friends with them as they train. Then they go to Final Selection, and Sabito lives thanks to having two extra friends backing him up!

Tanjirou and Nezuko rediscover Sun Breathing during their training, but continue learning Water Breathing since it's easier on their bodies than the Hinokami Kagura. But, as time goes on and they become stronger, it becomes easier to use the original Breathing Style. And thus, two years after passing the Final Selection, Kamado Tanjirou becomes the Demon Slayer Corps first Sun Hashira in centuries(assuming the first Breath Users were Hashira, Yoriichi would be the Sun Hashira, but *shrug*)

Variation 2: The Kamado family, like the Rengoku family, is a long line of Sun Hashira. I actually made the two families related by making Ruka Rengoku into Tanjurou's sister, making Kyojurou and Senjurou the Kamado kids' cousins! The whole family lives, with Tanjirou, Nezuko, and Takeo having passed the Final Selection and doing missions, Hanako passing but choosing to become a medic after a scare on her first mission, and Shigeru in training. Rokuta hasn't found a Breath Style yet.

Meanwhile the Kochou family has taken in Aoi, Kanao, Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho. And they are all home for the demon attack.

Now with that out of the way, it's time to get to the Sun Siblings!

Tanjirou

Tanjirou, two years after his passing of the Final Selection, was given the position of Sun Hashira. While a dutiful Slayer more determined than some to end Kibutsuji's reign of evil for good, Tanjirou's kindness towards the demons who regret their actions remains.

However, his rank painted a target on his back. And his use of Sun Breathing only made that target bigger. Two years after he became a Hashira, when he was 17, he and Nezuko were pitted against the second most powerful demon in Japan, second only to Kibutsuji himself. Upper Moon One, Kokushibou. It was a losing battle, and the siblings' only hope of survival was lasting until sunrise. Tanjirou begged for Nezuko to run so she could survive, taking on the Upper Moon alone. A fatal choice, but one he does not regret making. His little sister's life was spared, that's all that mattered to him.

After that fateful battle, Tanjirou's spirit remained in the Estate he called home. Watching over his family, and eventually meeting a pair of sisters. One, a demon who retained her humanity, and the other an aspiring Slayer hoping to find a cure for demons. And these sisters, as a favour to his own, Tanjirou helped to train from beyond the grave. Watching over them until they departed on their mission.

Nezuko

Nezuko, at age 16, was dubbed the Flower Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. However, she doesn't use the same Flower Breathing we see in canon. Instead, she created her own version, based mostly on Water Breathing with hints of inspiration from the six core Breathing Styles derived directly from Sun Breathing(she found out about Moon Breathing from reading the Rengoku and Ubuyashiki family records). She also added poison to her arsenal, making her quite the force to be reckoned with.

Before the loss of Tanjirou, Nezuko was extremely energetic and exciteable. While she didn't possess the same kindness as her brother, she was hardly considered cruel towards demons. Aggressive at times, yes, but not cruel. Her rage was saved for Kibutsuji, for the monster who slaughtered her family. She did, however, threaten extreme bodily harm upon the Kakushi who made her initial uniform(the scummy tailor who made Mitsuri's uniform).

After Kokushibou killed her brother, however, there was a visible change. She became cold and resentful towards demons, and closed off from all but a select few of her fellow Demon Slayers(Giyuu, Sabito, Rengoku, Gyomei and Mitsuri were the only Hashira she said more than a few brief words to in a casual setting). The demons she hated most, of course, were the ones who took away her family, leaving her the last surviving member of her bloodline. She swore vengeance on both Kibutsuji Muzan and Kokushibou.

Nezuko has an extra trick up her sleeve aside from Flower Breathing and her poisons, but she's kept it a secret. Waiting until the right moment to reveal her extra trick, and destroy the demons who took so much from her once and for all.

You are a very talented lady. You can cook, sew, clean, everything that a housewife usually does it. You are also a very charming lady, you can make everyone day’s better. Even Giyuu smiled at you and shared his Salmon Daikon with you once. Don’t forget about Sanemi teaching you how to wield a nichirin blade. Deep inside his heart, you have the talent to become a part of the Demon Slayer corps but you declined his invitation. 

Right now, the three of you are at the (L/n) Residence. Tanjiro and Nezuko are taking a day off from their job and decided to visit you. 

Honestly, the (L/n) is a noble family but of course, you chose the Kamado family. Their warmness and kindness is something you never saw in this cruel world. You never regret choosing the Kamado family rather those pesky nobles in your town. 

With Tanjiro and Nezuko accompany you on this clear night makes you glad. You finally have time to be yourself. You can share your thoughts and ideas without being judged. But all of the good things must be stopped because Tanjiro suddenly opened his eyes and sniff around the air. 

Nezuko quickly leaves your hair alone and stand up. Her nice and soft eyes turned deadly. Did she clench her hands while looking at the... wall?

Wait, what?

Tanjiro looked at you, “Grab my blade, now!” You finally realized what is happening before running back into your room and taking the heavy yet nice blade in your hands. 

Wait, this isn’t the time to be praise the damn blade in your hand. 

You threw the blade to Tanjiro where he captured those easily.

He wields the blade while examining the small garden in front of you. “Kibutsuji Muzan! I know you are there! Come out!!” He shouted.

Your eyes widened at the name. 

Kibutsuji Muzan? Isn’t he the one who made these terrifying demons? You can’t help but fear his existence. 

What does he want? Why did he come here?

Soon enough, a war between Muzan and Kamado siblings broke. Your parents are inside, trying to hide their coward selves. You informed Tanjiro’s crow and asking them to bring some back-up. The siblings are fighting as if their life is in the line, but Muzan seems bored. As if his mind is somewhere else.

Seeing a gap, Tanjiro tried to slash Muzan’s head but Muzan beat him by punching him in the stomach. Nezuko on the other hand whimpered at the scene. You gasped, “Tanjiro!” Muzan and Tanjiro’s eyes turned into you.

Shive ran through your spine. Tanjiro is lying in the ground holding his stomach while Muzan’s eyes burned into your figure. He squints his eyes before he let a low chuckle.

“I finally found you, my Lily,” He whispered under his breath. You looked into his blood-red eyes and found a lot of emotions. Happiness, sadness, gladness, even fear. In a second, he suddenly in front of you. 

He touched your cheeks, caressing it as if you are a porcelain doll. He smiled for once before kissing your forehead. “Sleep, my dear,” It didn’t take long before you fell into his arms.

You glared at Muzan while closing your mouth with your hands. “No, I will not eat that,” Muzan is holding a plate of curry and white rice. Sure, it seems delicious, but the curry isn’t brown, it’s red! You knew Muzan put some of his blood into it, which makes you gag imagining it. 

Muzan let out a sigh before he pushes the spoon into your hands. “Eat it,” He ordered. 

You shooked your head, “No!” 

You have great courage just to decline his order where you can get killed lesser than a second. 

Muzan thinks for a while before that lips turned into a smirk. “Eat this and seeing that Kamado sibling live or... don’t eat this and seeing them die. What do you think, dear? Isn’t that exciting?” 

You opened your mouth in that statement. You then closed your eyes, thinking all of the possibilities that will occur. Whether you fell under his spell or not can determine yours, Tanjiro, and Nezuko’s life. You may eat this and not seeing them die, right?

You lowered down your hands and opened your mouth slightly. Muzan smiled in the madness before pushing the spoon inside your mouth. “Good girl,” He compliments.

Chapter 2: disturb the comfortable

8:00 A.M. Saturday

Ding Dong

Tomioka rang the doorbell of the Kamado residences. On his hand are the groceries he fetched for the Kamado siblings before he got there fully knowing that Tanjirou is busy running the Café that sometimes he forgot to stock healthy foods.

When the door opened, Tomioka is greeted by a beaming Tanjirou, "Good Morning Giyuu-san!"

Tomioka heard hurried footsteps coming on his way, fully knowing who it is he readied himself. Nezuko jumped on him due to excitement and gave me a bear hug.

Steadying himself, he set the girl down and pat her head, earning a satisfied hum from the girl.

"Come in Giyuu-san, we were just about to start breakfast." Offered Tanjirou.

After the accident that happened to the Kamado family, Tomioka Giyuu took responsibility for the two siblings left behind. Although he is really not ready to be a parent figure at the age of 26, he does know what it feels like to be left at a very young age so without any doubt he took them in. Besides, he and his godfather, Urokodaki, are the only people that Tanjuro would trust to look out for the siblings.

"We were getting ready for Nezuko's check-up today at 10. You're coming right?" asked Tanjirou.

Tomioka only nodded at him as a response. "Shinobu-san said she would like to have a word with our guardian, too."

The statement made Tomioka quirk an eyebrow.

Sensing Tomioka's confusion, Tanjirou continued explaining, "She said she wants to discuss Nezuko's condition."

9:46 A.M.

Nezuko hasn't gone out of Tomioka's side since he came. Nezuko is clinging on Tomioka's left arm as they entered the hospital building, obviously showing how much she missed the messy-haired man. Trailing on his other side is the older brother, delighted to see how much his younger sister is happy to have the company of Tomioka.

People were staring at them as they walk in the hallway of the hospital. It doesn't really bother Tomioka. He had been accustomed to scenes like this considering that he experiences it every day. Tomioka certainly inherited good genes from his parents. His tied black messy hair compliments his fair skin, his deep blue eyes are sharp yet calming, and his fashion sense is not bad either although he chose to dress minimal style. Adding to this, he is 5 feet and 9 inches tall with a lean body which makes the ladies imagine how many abs he has under his garment. He is the total package that certainly will make people take a double look, if not stare at him.

When they are in front of Shinobu's office doors, Tomioka announced he will just wait for them outside the office.

"I'll wait for you here."

"We will call you when it's time for you to talk to Shinobu-san."

Before the siblings enter the office, Nezuko kissed Tomioka's cheeks and in return he smiled and patted Nezuko's head which made the ladies who are watching the exchange swoon, claiming how cute their 'family' is and how lucky they are to have him as their 'father'.

9:48 A.M.

"Mitsuriiii!"

Opening the office door, Mitsuri answered, "Yes, Shinobu-chan?"

"Where are those interns? I've been waiting for those files for almost ten minutes! The files are located across the hallway only. Please tell me they are not lost."

Walking over the office to sit on the sofa on Shinobu's office, Mitsuri chuckled, "Well, Ms. Kocho Shinobu, our dear interns are not lost," her eyes not leaving her phone as if scanning something important, "However, they are kinda in a situation right now."

"Oh, what 'situation' is more important than those patient files? I have a patient scheduled at 10!" Grumble Shinobu.

"I heard a handsome man just walked in, and actually, he really got the looks!" exclaimed Mitsuri while looking at her phone.

This made Shinobu popped a vein.

Really? All because of a man?! I will teach those interns what it means to be in this field!

"Now, now, Shinobu-chan, clam down. Those interns are just distracted right now," Mitsuri giggled, "and I bet you will be too if you saw his face. His black messy hair makes his skin look so white. Even his waves colored eyes are dreamy! Look!" Mitsuri said while pointing at the photo the interns sent through chat.

That description looks familiar...

Mitsuri tried to show Shinobu the picture of the man that their interns took but Shinobu just shoved back it to her without looking.

"I can't believe you're in this too, Mitsuri," Shinobu muttered, "do I have to remind you that you have a boyfriend? Iguro-san won't be very happy to know that his girlfriend is ogling at some random man." Shinobu teased.

"Oh, come on, Shinobu-chan! You're no fun! Besides, It's not for me. It's for you. I think you two will look good together!"

Shinobu just giggled and shake her head at the antics of her pink and green-haired best friend. "You and your matchmaking games." Shinobu pinched her cheeks.

A sudden knock stopped their bickering.

Instinctively, Shinobu checked her clock.

9:57 A.M.

That must be Tanjiro and Nezuko.

Knowing Shinobu's schedule Mitsuri decided to head out.

When Mitsuri opened the door, her eyes widened and snapped her head back at Shinobu, grinning.

"Well, I'll leave you now, Shinobu-chan! Enjoy!" Mitsuri bid, giggling.

Enjoy? What on earth you sayi-?

There, standing on her office's doorframe is the 'asshole' she met yesterday.

Then it clicked her. Messy black hair, fair skin, wave colored eyes. The man that Mitsuri and the interns ogling earlier is no other than Tomioka Giyuu.

If not for the Kamado siblings entering her office, she would still be in a staring contest with Tomioka.

"Good morning, Shinobu-san!" greeted the Kamado siblings.

Standing up she also greeted the siblings.

"Good morning, too, Tanjiro and Nezuko." She smiled warmly.

Nezuko straight up hugged her which made her chuckle. She pats Nezuko's head and made her seat on the chair in front of her table.

"Now, let's start our check-up okay?" Nezuko nodded eagerly which made her and Tanjirou chuckle.

Tomioka decided to just wait outside Shinobu's office knowing how annoyed the little butterfly is at him after their meeting yesterday.

To entertain himself, he got his phone out and casually scroll through it, not paying any attention to those giggling and flirtatious looks the nurses are giving him.

After almost twenty minutes of waiting, the doors of the office of Doctor Shinobu opened.

"Giyuu-san, Shinobu-san wants to talk to you."

He nodded.

After knocking three times he heard a, "Come in!"

Given the signal, he opened the door and entered. He didn't say a word. He was just gone straight sit on the chair, wanting to end this as early as he could because the feeling of familiarity on the lady in front of him is making him confused and uneasy.

"Good morning, Tomioka-san." Shinobu plastered her warm smile.

He only responded with a nod that irked Shinobu.

"I'll get straight to the point, Tomioka-san since you looked like you don't want to be around anybody."

The statement made Tomioka's heart twitch.

"Nezuko needs to undergo Surgery and since Tanjirou is still 17, we need your permission to perform the surgery."
