This morning, you woke up because of sounds of arguing.

You yawn and get out of bed. You quickly wash your face, brush your teeth and change into your everyday clothes.

After the that, you finally went to the living room, where the sounds of the argument come from.

Fukuzawa Yukichi and Fukuchi Ouchi were arguing. Sigma was also there, looking for a way to break the argument. You came closer to Sigma, who was nervously looking from one male to another.

"Morning, Sigma. What's going on?" greeted you. Sigma smile at you.

"Good morning, [Y/N]. Fukuzawa-san and Fukuchi are arguing about... some events in the manga." Sigma looked uncomfortable. You rolled your eyes.

One of the first things you did, after BSD Cast got into your world, forbid characters from trying to start a showdown about events that occurred after they gained self-awareness and in which they were not directly involved.

But, you do know, that In case of Fukuchi it might be tricky.

So, just in case, you've confiscated Shintou Amenogozen from Fukuchi and hide it. You also made Fukuchi to take Holy Sword from the Bram. Stoker, after getting his body back, was exploring your world. (Was browsing The Internet and Watching TV with Aya).

But, even without his sword, Fukuchi still can start a fight. A verbal fight.

It doesn't seem, that Fukuzawa and Fukuchi will stop anytime soon.

You tried to break the fight. You stepped between two men.

"Okay, that's enough, you two. Let's not start the morning with fighting."

Both Fukuchi and Fukuzawa step back, but they still looked mad at each other.

"While I don't want this, [Y/N], but I can't just sit there and not try to settle our conflicts," Fukuzawa looked calmer, than before, but still, looked determined to start a fight.

"Yukichi, please..." you tried to reason with the silver-haired man, when you were interrupted.

"[Y/N], step aside, we will settle this," growls Fukuchi, trying to gently move you out of the way.

"Ouchi, stop, or I will go mad," you threatened, frowning at Fukuchi.

"Little Guiding Light, it's not like you can do anything to... Woah!" Fukuchi didn't expect to be picked up by you. You picked him up with one had and then picked up Fukuzawa with the other.

"I don't have a "Get Along Shirt", so you will have a "Get Along Human". To the dining room!" cheered you, and walked headed to the dining room. Sigma silently walked after you.

Pokemon Legends Arceus is about Home and what it means to create a Home, change my mind (a mini essay)

Main series titles in the Pokemon series tend to follow themes and explorations of them. With mythology and tradition from Gold/Silver, our relationship to nature in Ruby/Sapphire, truth vs ideals in Black and White, and even the reoccurring themes of treasure and past vs future in Scarlet and Violet.

While PLA is a new departure from most series titles, it still explores a bunch of themes that are central to its story. While the land of ancient Hisui is partial to old traditions, divine gods, and the endless wild, several characters in the game have a recurring theme surrounding on the idea of "Home". This could be how "home" is defined, how one creates a home, and what it means to lose one.

One of the foremost examples of this is you, the player. While we know nothing of the player character outside of what is shown in the intro sequence and possible dialogue choices, the prompt of PLA is obvious. You were taken from your home by Arceus to be dropped into Hisui. Whatever life you had before, you will never come back to. And upon waking up on the beach that Laventon finds you, you have little to no memory, no money, no pokemon, and no where to go.

You have no home.

Now for the player character while it can be interpreted or headcanon a variety of possibilities, (such as the player character being the same player character from D/P/Pt) because it's a player character and meant to be a blank slate, we essentially don't know anything about the hero canonically outside of this. For all intents and purposes the hero has no home to begin with. But there is one thing we know. By the end of the game when you finally meet and defeat Arceus, he doesn't send us back home. We remain in Hisui. Once again, we cannot return to the home we came to. Hisui is our forever home now, but the choice is ours whether we accept or reject it.

This theme occurs a lot with the other characters of the game, to which we will be going through them.

One of the first characters in this game that also hits with this theme is Commander Kamado. Throughout the game it is specifically described as to how his character game to be. His home in Kanto was destroyed by wild pokemon, to which he and the other villagers had to immigrate to Hisui. Upon landing at Prelude Beach, they build Jubilife Village, a haven with large protective gates and guards always on patrol, ensuring security. It's their home, and Kamado repeatedly tells you throughout the game how he's determined to build a home for the village and himself. Even when the skies turn blood red and he banishes you into the wilds, he's determined to fight tooth and nail to protect his home.

This is one of the more obvious examples. Kamado has no home to return to. But in doing so with perseverance, he creates a new one. Even though Hisui is quite different from his old home in Kanto, he does settle with creating a new home, one that is safe, prospering, and peaceful. But when his home is threatened, he does not go back down to protect it.

A home is something you build.

Another similar example of this is the dynamic of Adaman and Irida. Their clans too migrated from other lands to Hisui, eventually settling on the land and living with the local pokemon. From their eyes, a home is something you must share and work together with. Even though they both warred over their patron gods, both the young clan leaders are determined to create a home that is peaceful and without bloodshed between them. However since this is the age of religious folks, insulting one's household deity is also akin to insulting one's home.

To some, a god is a home.

Later in the game we also encounter Lady Cogita. She like most, has no home. While Hisui is the land she has lived in for many years, her original home is long lost to time. As one of the Celestica, all of her people and culture have long disappeared, her god gone, and her old home now reduced to ruins scattered across the land. While she does reside in the Ancient Retreat, was it ever truly her home? That given her long life, does she ever miss the home she once had, and still vividly remembers? Is a home a home if you have no one to share it with? Does she ever feel homesick for her god that no longer answers her? She is a character with many mysteries to her, but you can't help but wonder what burdens could be going through her mind. The deities of time and space may have created the land, but is it the same as creating a home?

And most of all we cannot forget Volo. Your rival, nemesis, and literary foil. Unlike the others, he has no home, but has no home to return to either. Like Cogita, he too has lost all of his Celestica roots. However unlike Cogita, it's unknown whether he actually knows what their home was like before. Since we don't know canonically if Volo was alive at the same time as Cogita, we can assume he came long after the ruin of the Celestica, as he regularly questions her on the myths and traditions of a culture he isn't familiar with. He is a character that was born without a home, and tries desperately to pick up its pieces by ancient stories and writings on ruin walls. He also desperately yearns for his household god, as Arceus has long disappeared in the eyes of the world along with the Celestica.

Volo, as a character, is defined by his homesickness.

However unlike the hero, Volo refuses to accept Hisui as his home. As we all know at the end of the game when Volo reveals his true colors, he mentions that he wishes to subjugate Arceus to create a new world. In a desperate attempt to create a home he can finally accept, his wish is to create one with the powers of his god, and have pain and suffering be long-forgotten concepts. What makes Volo the villain in this scenario however, is that in order to complete this goal, it will destroy the homes of everyone else. In a grand act of selfishness, Volo is willing to destroy the homes of others in order to create his own. A home is something he is willing to destroy.

Overall throughout the game, the theme of what makes a "home" is repeated. Whether it be characters losing their home, characters trying to build a home, or characters trying to simply find a home. And as you play the game, the world around the hero changes. As humans and pokemon start to work together, their lives and homes start to become intertwined, creating a new life for everyone around them.

All lives touch other lives to create something anew and alive. That is a home.

↘ That day you were exploring the city, looking for fresh vegetables, so that you could later make a delicious dinner for yourself and your partner. As you walked around, you two talked about your recent achievements and missions, as well as victorious battles with demons. This day was unusually calm and full of sunshine; you loved moments like this, especially on your days off.

↘ While picking out the prettiest tomatoes and sweet potatoes, you heard a strange rustle to your right. You also smelled an unusual, very unpleasant smell (comparable to the smell of rot and old mud), and then heard sand rubbing against the soles of someone’s feet. Before you knew it, the body involuntarily moved towards Kyojuro, who was about to touch the fresh, earth-smelling carrots.

↘ With one quick and strong move, you knocked down a young demon in a black cloak, and then you touch his face, which was covered with a long hood. His screams and curses mixed with the sound of his burning skin were unpleasant, but at the same time incredibly calming. You didn’t hear anything suspicious in the vicinity, nor did you sense anything strange. Instead, you stood up and sheathed your katana, looking around carefully.

↘ Your partner thanked you and then apologized to the farmer he wanted to buy some goodies from. when obanai isn’t busy with hashira duties, a lot of time you guys spend together is silently holding each other- or just sitting together, reading, eating, watching a sunset, anything.

sometimes he’s too shy for physical affection, and he’s usually avoidant of verbal affection. it’s not really his thing.

if you were a hashira, ubayashiki would probably put you two on missions often, because it seems that obanai performs the best when you two are together

obanai would definitely admire you as a hashira, especially your strength, stronger than him or not. he doesn’t care

I heard the door creak open, and I instanlty perked up with a smile. Kabamaru looked up from my shoulder aswell. “Obanai’s home, ‘Maru.” I grinned, standing up from where I sat to greet my boyfriend at the door.

And there he stood, sighing lightly as he took off his haori, hanging it up. His tired look turned soft once he noticed me standing there. “Y/N. I’m sorry the mission took longer than usual, so on my way back, I got this for you.” He handed me a small box, but I didn’t even get a chance to look at it before he tiredly wrapped his arms around me, burrowing his face in my neck.

“Oh, Obanai…” I cooed with a soft smile as I leaned into the hug more, “tiring mission, huh?”

“The mission would’ve been just fine, but Master doesn’t want to put us together. What’s up with that?” He groaned.

“Honey,” I giggled as I kissed his forehead when he looked up at me. “Master puts us together on missions most of the time. And when we’re not together, you’re alone or with Sanemi. You’ll be alright.”

He grumbled, mumbling unintelligible words. After a moment, he let go of me and pointed towards the box in my hand. “Open it. I saw it and just thought… it looked like something you might like.”

I smiled softly at him before carefully opening the small package, seeing a cute silver necklace. And at the end of the necklace, there was a beautiful F/C gem at the end.

“Awh, Obanai! This is so cute! I love it, thank you.” I beamed happily as I quickly put it around my neck, staring at the gem.

“Yeah… of course. No problem.” If it weren’t for the mask he wore, his bright red face would be terribly obvious. “Can we… just lay down now? I’m really tired. That mission was so… boring.”

“Sure it was, Obanai.” I smiled, giggling. “We can lay down, but… go shower first, okay? I’ll wait for you!”

He sighed a bit impatiently, but nodded nonetheless. “That’s probably a good idea. You won’t fall asleep without me, right? I want to at least tell you goodnight.”

“I promise, honey! Just go shower, Kabamaru and I will be waiting.” I smiled softly as I turned and walked to the bedroom, where I patiently waited for my Serpant Hashira to arrive.

You are a being far away from home, a flighty sprite snatched away by malicious hands that seek to take advantage of your powers.

They put you in a silver cage, sapping you enough that you couldn’t find the energy to make your escape.

You think you’re on a boat somewhere, the sound of the waves flowing in and out of your ears with a fuzzy-like quality. Being around silver like this dulled your senses, and while going in and out of consciousness, you were only able to catch glimpses of your captors — blood-crazed eyes, sharp teeth and claws — and snippets of their conversation.

The days blurred together, and time became a concept too complicated for your addled brain. You vaguely realized that you can’t hear the water anymore, and instead find yourself in a caravan going somewhere.

The fear settles into you then, and with what strength you have left, you called out for someone, anyone to come and save you.

Just when you lost all hope, you hear the sound of a weapon slicing cleanly through the air. You open your eyes in confusion, the smell of blood permeating the air and making you gag. You shrink back into the corner of your confinement when you hear someone approach, and through your blurry vision you see a worried face, and oh so gentle burgundy eyes.

But that doesn't stop you from recoiling as they open the cage and reach for you. Before you fainted completely, you remember being in someone's hands, the warmth of it like a miniature sun that lures you to sleep.

You wake up from a dreamless slumber to find yourself in a bed too large for you. You look at the world like you’re looking at it for the first time, and not long after the panic follows. You try to scramble out of the heavy blanket, but your wings hang limply from your back, and you have yet to regain your strength after being inside the silver cage for so long.

At that moment, the paper-like door slides open, and you lock eyes with a young girl who can't be any more than 10. A second pass before she runs out of the room, yelling in a language that you couldn't understand.

While you're still trying to make your great escape, the girl had already come back with a young woman in tow. The dark-haired woman looks at you calculatingly, methodically, like how a scientist would look at a specimen. It unsettles you, even when she tries to give you a reassuring smile after

She says something to the girl, the foreign language gibberish to your ears. The door slides open again for a millisecond, enough time for a tray of food to be brought into the room. The girl places the tray slowly in front of you.

You look at it warily. You still don't know what their motives are, and although it doesn't seem like they have evil intent, you also aren't sure what they wanted from you, or what they could have put into the food.

The woman looked at you, and as if knowing what was going through your mind, she reaches over to pick up the bowl containing the watery liquid and took a sip. She then drank from the cup of water, showing you that there was nothing to worry about.

Now, fairies don't need food to sustain them, but you've been deprived of magical energy enough that your body desperately needs something to rejuvenate itself.

The spoon is small enough that you can pick it up with some effort. You dip it into the bowl and raise it hesitantly to your lips. The salty taste hits your tongue, and then there was some kind of strange aftertaste that you're not familiar with. You're grateful for the water, and was even more hesitant eating the food in front of you after that.

But after a few more tries, you find that it's not bad as you thought, and it warms up your body pleasantly. Even so, you only managed to finish over half of the thing before your eyes effectively close by itself, the exhaustion still clinging to you.

The next time you wake, the world is not as big as before. You look down to see that in your sleep, you've unconsciously transformed into your human-sized form, a sign that your magic reservoir is replenishing itself.

You feel your muscles cramping from lack of use, and decide that this is a good time as any to go out of this room and discover where you are. You get up from the bed, slowly making your way out as much as your jelly-like legs allow you to do.

You see that you’re in a strange wooden house of some sorts, the architecture the likes of which you’ve never seen before. You emerge from the hallway to find yourself standing on a wooden porch, a structure that seems to wrap around the whole place, that leads to an enclosed garden.

For the first time, your eyes light up at the presence of greenery and flowers, reminding you of the place you call home. While this small patch couldn’t compare with that magical forest, it is still enough to make your heart sing.

Your bare feet make contact with the verdant grass, and you feel something clicking into place as its vitality replenishes your body. You gently touch the silky flower petals, giggling as butterflies began to swarm around you. You’re so entranced with finally being outside that you didn’t there was someone else also there.

You’re in the middle of playing with a butterfly, laughing as it playfully boop your nose, when you make eye contact with a boy. He looks so young compared to the centuries that you’ve been alive, but his eyes...they betray him, hiding a maturity and pain that belies his age. Those eyes are looking at you with wonder, with surprise, and something else that you cannot name.

(It’s warm and peaceful, like the early rays of the summer sun after a rainy spring.)

You gravitate towards him like a flower to the sun. In the last few steps, you revert back to your fairy form and fall into him as the exhaustion took you once again. You feel yourself being caught by a pair of warm hands, so familiar that it draws you into a dream.

‘So it’s you.’

In the next few days, the people at the house tries their best to explain to you where you are with the language barrier. Apparently you’re in a country called...nihon? And only when a map was placed in front of you did you realize how truly far away you are from home. 

You also try your hardest to explain to them what you are, and even though many of them have seen what you actually look like, it’s clear that they’re not familiar with what a fairy is. It took digging around for a foreign children’s book that a patient left behind for you to be able to somewhat help them understand.

You were also informed that the person who saved you from your captors was the boy with the warm hands, whose name you’re dying to know.

“Tan-ji-rō.” You attempt to copy his pronunciation, but winces when it doesn't come out quite right. At the same time, you can't help but giggle when he tries to say your name, the foreign syllables making him flounder. (You can't help but adore it.)

They also explained to you the situation with the demons, and you realized that's who your captors were.

Only a select few were told of your origins, and many of them take turns teaching you the language whenever they can, but you end up spending time with the 3 young apprentices the most.

After all, they're also still in the process of learning it themselves, but you still can't help but lament that your reading abilities is no match for them. With that said, you do enjoy playing with them in your fairy form, delighting in their joy and laughter.

Tanjirō also helps out a lot. He had experience teaching his younger siblings, and is unendingly patient with you, even when you pout and try to convince him to give you a break.

He's also open to learning your language. He's curious about your home after all, and would gladly listen to you talk while you continuously switch between your broken Japanese and mother tongue.

He's just generally amazed by you in general?? He's never seen a fairy before, and likes to see you play in the garden, whether it's with Nezuko or the other girls.

(He also thinks you're super pretty, and finds himself unconsciously admiring your wings.)

You’ve taken to blessing the boys with a simple luck spell whenever they go out on a mission, your heart twisting as you watch them leave the safe vicinity of the estate.

Tanjirō has also gotten into the habit of taking something back to you as a gift, knowing that you can’t really leave the estate for your own safety. It’s his way of showing you the outside world (and seeing the wonder in your eyes is well worth the money he spent).

There are times when you wish you both speak the same language, but there are days when you realize that sometimes what's unspoken is much more meaningful than words.

Three days passed since the Diamond Clan let the Unova Dragons stay at the camp, and even though they weren’t in the region for as long as the two Fallers, they encountered most of the important people of Hisui:

Diamond Clan:

Adaman: As the first person who’s come across the heroes, the Diamond Clan leader took a liking to the group. He knew at first glance that Emmet, Hilbert and Hilda are good people and thus treats them with kindness and respect. Contrary to the popular belief that one should be wary of strangers (to the point of quietly and subtly ostracizing them), Adaman is actually open-minded about foreigners and accept the group as they are, showing interest for their culture, letting them stay in his clan and defending them when people badmouth them. He acts like a cool big brother figure to Hilbert and Hilda, and he became very good friends with Emmet. The Diamond Clan leader is also one of the few people who immediately noticed the similarities between “Silver” and Ingo, already guessing that the two of them are related.

Mai: Mai appreciates the group as much as Adaman. As a big sister and second most important member of her clan, she didn’t take long to get along with the trio, notably Hilbert who remind her of Adaman when he was his age. She saw the similarities between “Silver” and Ingo too after spending time with Emmet, suspecting their bond as twins just like Adaman.

Arezu: Just like Mai, Arezu got along easily with the heroes, especially Hilda after she protected her and Noble Lilligant from an Alpha Infernape. It’s unclear if she suspects “Silver” and Ingo to have some kind of bond since she doesn’t spend much time with the Pearl Warden, but she did notices that they look alike.

Sabi: Sabi displayed curiosity for the heroes almost immediately after meeting them; at first for being foreigners, and then later on as individuals after defeating numerous Pokemon and Noble Braviary in front of her. She don’t spent a lot of time with them due to her duties, but she likes talking to Hilbert when she comes across him.

Iscan: The Warden was at first surprised by how Emmet, Hilbert and Hilda looked when Adaman introduced the heroes to his clan. However, being a kind and polite man at heart, Iscan is really nice to them. There are times when they are slightly put off by his easily-afraid side, but they get along well with him.

Melli: The Diamond Clan, Wardens and members, are nice with the trio and get along with them... Except Melli. Aside from his bias towards foreigners, his jerkass and entitled behaviour on their first meeting was enough to get him on the heroes’ bad side and they regularly shut him down with their words or in Pokemon battles... Or with a punch in the face. That said, for all his antagonism, Melli appears more perceptive than he lets out since he is one of the few people to openly states that Emmet/Silver and Ingo looks alike (though he mostly says it when he’s alone).

Pearl Clan:

Irida: Irida was introduced to Emmet, Hilbert and Hilda on the same day as Adaman. Since there was a reunion between the two leaders and Kamado in Jubilife Village, the Diamond Clan leader decided to let them know about the group’s presence in Hisui to prevent misunderstandings and potential conflicts. Months passed since Lucas/Rei arrived in Hisui, so the Pearl Clan leader is no longer as suspicious as she was towards foreigners and is nice with them. She’s of course shocked when she saw Emmet because of his astonishing stark resemblance to Warden Ingo, if younger. She doesn’t think they’re possibly related at first though.

Palina: Hilda encountered Palina in Islespy Shore while she was exploring the region and the two befriended fairly easily. The young woman eventually saw Hilbert and Emmet later on and is nothing but kind with them. Just like Irida, “Silver”’s similarities with Ingo appears clear as day to her, and like Adaman, their resemblance is too strong for her not guessing that they are related.

Lian: Hilbert came across him by coincidence on their second day in Hisui, and he saved the kid from an Alpha Kleavor. Impressed by his abilities and his cold composure in front of the Pokemon, Lian felt grateful towards him and befriended him.

Calaba: Calaba is the only Pearl Warden that the heroes didn’t meet. That said, they have an idea of who she is with their encyclopedia of Hisui mentionning the well-known personalities of the region, and they’d rather not encounter her because they know she won’t be as open-minded as her fellow wardens regarding them.

Gaeric: Emmet met him when Irida showed him the Pearl Clan. The Warden got along pretty well with the Subway Master and shows an interest for his culture.

Jubilife Village:

Kamado: Kamado encounters the Unova Dragons on the same time as Adaman and Irida. That was the first real challenge for the trio since their arrival in Hisui: convincing the paranoid Kamado that they’re true unovans of old times who escaped drowning in the ocean and hiding their identities as time-travelers. Emmet used all his knowledge and acting skills to tell him the scenario they all learned to narrate beforehand... And at the end of his tale, unlike what they initially thought, Kamado showed empathy for their situation. He actually traveled in the Unova kingdom and thus knew the region and the war that happened there years ago, which helped giving weight to their words. As a survivor of a tragedy, Kamado couldn’t bring himself to act harshly towards people who lived with the aftermaths of such destructive conflict, so he accepted Adaman’s decision to let them stay in his clan and doesn’t force them to join the Galaxy Expedition Team’s ranks. However, he still asked them to wear their uniforms (or clothes close to it) so as not standing out of the rest of the population. The Unova Dragons obliged as a sign of respect.

Cyllene: The trio don’t interact much with Cyllene since they’re moslty away from Jubilife Village, but for the short time they spent together, Cyllene is neutral towards them, talking with them with the same stoic way than with any Galaxy Team members.

Ginkgo Guild:

Ginter: Same as Cyllene, the trio don’t interact much with Ginter, but the man don’t mind their presence and even appreciates Hilbert’s company when he comes at the village.

Volo: “This man smells like rat”. That was the first thought that come to the trio’s minds when they meet Volo for the first time. Although they don’t come across him that much, the three of them quickly feels that his affability and smiles aren’t as genuine as he lets out to be...

Others:

Professor Laventon: The trio quickly met him in the Galaxy Team's HQ, and the professor is delighted to see other foreigners like him. He's thus really kind with them.

Akari: At first surprised when encountering the Unova Dragons, Akari bonds fairly easily with them, especially Hilbert and Hilda (which is understandable since they're close in age). She likes spending time with the teenagers whenever she can and even call them big sister/big brother at times.

The Fallers:

Lucas/Rei: It didn’t take long for the Unova Dragons to cross path with Lucas. As they (and Althea) suspected, the teenager suffers amnesia and doesn’t seem to remember anything from his past life, not even his real name (which is why Akari came up with the name “Rei” after he was found), although he kept his natural kindness and selflessness. This obviously saddens Dawn when she hears him from afar (via the trio’s badges), but at least she knows that her boyfriend is alive. Hilbert empathises with her plight as someone who almost lived the same fate if his girlfriend and Althea didn’t prevent his abduction, so he makes it his mission to help him slowly recover his original memories.

Ingo: Finding Ingo wasn’t as hard as the group thought... In fact, Emmet came across him when he was leaving the Pearl Clan (after his encounter with Gaeric). To say that Emmet was beyond shock would be an understatement... So many emotions swirmled within him all at once when he saw his brother again: thankfulness that Ingo is alive, worry over his state (by Irida’s saying, he still has the same age as him due to being in the Pearl Clan for one year and a half, the same timeframe of his disappearance in their time, but he looks physically much older... Living in Hisui have been rough for him), a burning fury towards the culprit of the space-time rifts incidents who caused tragedies in the future (like him, Dawn and who knows how many before them), and sadness because he knows Ingo also suffers amnesia like Lucas and forgot him... Emmet thus took a short time to collect himself and flawlessly talked to Ingo as Silver the Ice Hero: a calm, down-to-earth man with an impassive face and a low voice devoid of emotions. Ingo, while a bit surprised at first, quickly gained an interest towards him, notably after he mentions he is a foreigner like him. They could only discuss with each other for a small amount of time, but the Warden is definitively intrigued by Silver, even if he doesn’t know exactly why, and expresses his wishes of talking with him more soon before they get back to their own places. Emmet manages to stay composed afterwards and not worry Hilbert and Hilda... Until night, when his cold mask cracks a bit and silently cry in his sleep. Emmet is a man who always did his duties for the sake of the greater good before thinking about himself; he will stop the culprits of the space-time rifts incidents... But the fact that he can’t tell Ingo the truth about their bond as twin brothers (at least not before stopping said culprits) internally pains him.

that's a very good question. first, i'm going to take a big ol' break through january to write (and post if i have finished chapters) because amymas has been quite the adventure. twelve fics, twelve different voices, and eight whole fandoms -- it's been a challenge.

much of my 2024 will be focused on finishing up silver underground. the better strategy is kind of my 'touch and go' for whenever i'm inspired with no real ending in mind, mooostly because i have not finished bg3 (i will one day i swear!) so i don't know where tav/astarion will be taken. also act 2 is my favorite story-wise, sooo we'll be there for a while.

You know in the Papa Ingo au I always assumed it was like from them collectively completing the protags mission or the og protag akari/rei showing up and just instead of being a part of Jubilife be in the time travelers group and complete their mission and save the region anyway. And by that way too, just everyone ends up home and knows that everything happened because of some dude from the past that looked like Cynthia

I would assume that any kids who show up would just begin helping Akari with her tasks as well, though there are some who would rather help in Jubilife’s pokemon pasture, or assist Beni at the wallflower!

In regards to Team Rocket’s involvement in this story

I do like the thought of them being kids themselves more like what the first anon says, specifically for what the second Anon says haha.

Orre kids are certainly built for hardship, I think they’d be the most ready out of anyone when they’re thrown out of the village!

I think people have suggested that we alter when Kamado kicks everyone out of the village and have it happen earlier on; I don’t think the kids would hate everyone, though! Some would definitely be more upset than others at the treatment, of course, but I’m sure there would be a lot of conflicting feelings.

If kids would start getting sick when everyone is trying to take care of Ingo and get him better, then that would certainly be concerning! I could see kids forcing others who are sick to go lie down. Both to get better, and to keep the sickness from spreading to the whole group. They have work to do!!

Oh that is an interesting thought! (Silver probably would not understand that, despite…also living through the same events too? Someone did suggest at one point silver is also here haha. He would unknowingly be seeing how problematic his dad was as a kid)

Like above! I bet Giovanni would meet a lot of people as kids, before they all grow into the characters we know them as, and as the people they know each other as.

It is certainly a mind bender, I’m having a hard time properly comprehending that haha.

That would be so sad!! Can you imagine finally getting the medicine you need to help take care of the person you’re trying to save, only to be thrown back to the time you originally came from right before you could give him the medicine? Ouch!!

It would certainly be hard to explain what happened, since everyone would return to the times they were pulled from, which happened way before Ingo actually disappears! Only after he disappears would it probably become easier for people to believe them.

Oh man I’m sorry! I could see them especially wanting to visit the subway after all of this happened at some point, especially after hearing about how “some subway boss disappeared suddenly.” As they look into it, they all desperately realize that it sounds an awful lot like what happened to them. And the subway bosses’ name…Some might come close to gear station out of morbid curiosity, and some might do it at the same time.
