GOD this sucks so bad.

I can't live like this. I was basically given no option but to walk 4 miles with my back pack that's like 50lbs just to get breakfast here at the shelter because of a series of oppressive rules put in place for literally no reason other than to make things as hard as possible for homeless people.

And then. I understand I am at a homeless shelter. I really don't expect much. BUT. when you serve hundreds of people moldy and rotten fruit like this fruit was not early in the decomposition phase. That is incredibly irresponsible like they're trying to kill us! I mean it too, some of these people you know may not have enough good sense not to eat it. Can't like a cup of very rotten fruit potentially be deadly??

some of the fruit/ parts were edible. The grapes appear in the pictures as if they are holding their form on their own but I assure you it's just a trap. And I swear I took another picture of the watermelon where I was holding it and you could see how it is structurally little more than goo but idk it must not have taken. I will say there was actually one big strawberry that was perfectly ripe but like. That's not a lot of nutrition. You serve desperate people food that could kill them potentially? It's so sick. it's fucking sickening.

I can't fucking live like this. I can't handle this shit with my trauma. I cannot endure the physical stress that they needlessly put me through here. It's disturbing me and it's miserable that I have to carry anything that I could potentially need on my back whatever distance I may need to walk I'm either a pack mule or I'm trapped!! WHEN THEY HAVE LOCKERS HERE FOR THIS PURPOSE BUT I CAN'T HAVE ONE. So I burden my friend with keeping my stuff in her car even though she has enough going on. but for the record she's good with boundaries and I know she wouldn't do anything she's uncomfortable with she just wants to help and I appreciate it but I don't want to be a burden. Also it's inconvenient for me too bc I don't have keys to her car. And that's a fair trade off for throwing it away but I would much prefer to be able to have full authority over my belongings how entitled of me.

I don't deserve this shit if I had not been repeatedly beaten up and robbed I would be able to afford to stay somewhere until I get my feet on the ground. I do not deserve to be punished for being a victim! This is so fucking evil and it's eating me alive that I am forced to live like this as punishment for being abused in every different category of abuse and for being disabled which was 100% caused by the systematic evils.

I am not being kicked while I am down I am being fucking run over by a bus like why do I deserve this what did I do to deserve this why are they doing this to me why am I forced to live like this against my will?

there’s nuance to this like there is with everything, and people are jumping to conclusions saying either “he’s an innocent little lamb how dare you!” or “he should be deplatformed and we should never speak of him again!” i will never fault anyone for supporting the alleged victim. if your decision is to stop watching him immediately or even stop supporting the qsmp itself, no one should ever fault you for that. it is ultimately up to you to make that decision. the situation is not clear enough for me to make a decision, so i will withhold judgement for now. i will not doompost about it, and i will not call out people for defending or dropping him.

but for the love of god, just. everybody keep your cool. especially english speakers, we may not have full proper translations for the messages and tweets. take a deep breath. if you want to find more info to form an opinion now and spread information that people don’t already have, go ahead. if you want to step back and not think about it for now, go ahead. there is no shame in taking a step back and thinking about other things. you are not morally obligated to be invested in this situation. you are not morally obligated to drop him immediately and you are also not morally obligated to keep supporting him just because he’s friends with your favs. stick to your gut and do what you feel is right. you will be okay. this is not the end of the world.

If the core of your activism isn't a deep, profound love for vulnerable people then like...idk what's the fucking point? I fight terfs because I love trans people. I fight nazis bcs I love jewish and romani and queer and disabled people. I fight racism because so many people I love aren't white. I fight ableism because I love the disabled and mentally ill. I fight fatphobia bcs I love fat people. I fight classism bcs I love poor people. I fight oppression because I love humanity, and I firmly believe that we all deserve a better, kinder world.

And so should it turn out that some facet of my activism is hurting more people than it's helping I want to know so I can stop and reevaluate if such actions are actually worthwhile or if there's something else I could be doing to help. Progress will probably always have some collateral damage, but we should care about minimizing it as much as possible bcs I don't want to hurt vulnerable people while trying to fight for them.

Telling bad people to kill themselves does not make the world a better place. It isn't a substitute for deplatforming, or being aware of dogwhistles, or protesting, raising money or charity, volunteering, educating yourself and the people in your community, voting in local elections or showing up at city council meetings, just giving some cash to an unhoused person, or doing things that actually make our spaces safe for the people who need our help. All it does is hurt trauma victims and the mentally ill. And tbh it will probably get your account banned, which is what the bigots want. You're silencing yourself FOR them. So why not stop doing it and start doing something that will actually make positive change.

And it's okay to be angry. It's important to be angry! And no one is arguing that you have to be nice to nazis or racists or fatphobes. They should be deplatformed. But god all I'm fucking asking is for us to care more about helping the oppressed than we do about dunking on bigots online for clout points, especially when said dunking causes real, measurable harm to marginalized people. There are better ways to dismantle the power bigots have garnered, ways that don't make progressive spaces hostile for vulnerable people.

Wouldn't you rather minimize the harm you do to the vulnerable than bulldoze over them in your quest for a better world? Aren't you fighting to protect them? Aren't you showing up because you care about them and want them to have a future? Isn't it all about love in the end??

Hi! I hope you’re doing good

I’ve seen a few anons mention how it’s okay to only be here for Dream/dteam. And how a lot of the other Minecraft-based CCs are seemingly jealous of all the success Dteam have had, and think that deplatforming them will make way for us to move to their content. And I want to say I agree.

I became a fan of (dream first, then SNF) them in 2020 when it was peak Covid time. I was a sophomore in college, and my brother was in kindergarten; I was trying to find things to relate with him, and stumbled into the Minecraft sphere, cause he likes Minecraft. I was hoping to find someone current and semi-child friendly, and I stumbled upon dreams videos. I watched them first before showing them to my little brother, and after deciding I liked them, we now watch dreams videos together.

As someone who had limited access to the internet as a kid, and knows like next to nothing about Minecraft, I’m really only here for Dteam. Cause I enjoy their content and it brought my brother and I closer. If I stop being a fan of Dteam, I’m honestly probably going to just leave the Minecraft sphere altogether, considering Dteam are what’s keeping me here (not that I haven’t met some amazing people, but you get what I mean).

It’s very telling the agenda of these CCs the more I become offline and take a look at the bigger picture. I said this earlier, but their content is based on a fleeting hatred for the internets current punching bag. If they ever stop expressing hatred or, god forbid, Dteam get deplatformed, all the “fans” they think they had will be gone. Because with no common perceived enemy, there’s nothing keeping them tied to those creators. And so they’ll go back to whatever they were doing before-hand.

I wanted to extend some semblance of sympathy to these CCs, cause it’s really hard to make a career out of this, but they’re also going about it the wrong way, and my sympathy doesn’t exist anymore. If the only content you have is performative activism, then maybe you should consider a different career path.

Adding on to that, let’s say I do stop watching Dteam, or the “behind the scenes” stuff wasn’t just petty grievances. Why would I then go watch the people that have been harassing, bullying, threatening the same people I was just a fan of the entire time I was their fan? If dteams morals are so bad, what makes theirs any better? And why would I support theirs, when I wouldn’t support someone else’s bad morals? (Again, hypothetical, cause I’m still a fan and all the “bts” stuff ARE petty grievances).

They’re so blinded by their hatred and jealousy that they cannot see they’re destroying their own careers with this. There’s a reason outside of Twitter, a lot of people don’t know who these creators are, and the only reason they do is because they stick their noses everywhere.

It’s become apparent the last few weeks that outside of Twitter- where their core fanbase IS NOT- people are seeing these CCs for what they are and it’s driving them away from any content they might produce. They’re driving away potential fans acting like this, and they can’t even see it, cause they’re so focused on dteam (mainly dream). Maybe focus on your own career, before trying to take down someone else’s, especially when you have nothing career-ending over them.

So again, why would I stop being a fan of people I liked for so long, and stuck around for the good, bad, ugly, and sometimes dangerous (gotta love doxxing /sar), to immediately go be a fan of people that contributed to the absolute onslaught of horrid treatment of the people I was a fan of? It doesn’t make sense.

Unlike them, I’m not going to compromise my morals and make a big public spectacle to then privately do the opposite. I dropped Wilbur after Shelby came out with her story. I was more than willing to drop Dream if his allegations were proven correct, and the same goes for George. That’s what these CCs don’t understand. I’m a human first before I’m a fan. And that humanity stays with me wherever my interests take me.

So where should shippers draw the line? You have people on Twitter sitting and calling someone's dad or bro names because of these things. Maybe it doesn't affect the dad or bro in question. But again, how much is too much when it comes to shipping?

When it comes to shipping, the line should be drawn at sending death threats. At accusing a member of being a slut. Of being a homewrecker. Of only succeeding in exchange of sexual favors. It should be drawn at sending DMs to every business and people out there who are not somehow "confirming" a ship. At not calling someone's family member the equivalent of a Trump supporter based on nothing. At using someone's deceased partner in order to validate a ship. That's where the line should be drawn, but up until now it hasn't happened because those types of shippers still have a platform to spew their bullshit daily. And these are examples of the top of my head.

Now please compare that to some harmless shipping like believing the dates for the event may be connected to something more. Perhaps it's silly and ridiculous. But it's not harmful. Thank you, that means a lot. And like I know it's only a vocal minority and the majority of people on that post are chill and also get what I'm trying to say, but god every now and again someone slips through the cracks and it drains away a little more of my sanity.

Plus like, ugh I guess that just hits a little harder bcs I'm a disabled and mentally ill queer person and while I know that doesn't exempt me from being wrong sometimes like, I fucking hate nazis and fascists, they want me and people like me dead, and I try my best to educate myself and focus in doing things that actually help fight those ideologies, it's why I've shifted away from "rb this post to make a terf die" style activism and more towards doing things to actually help trans people, bcs trans people have said those posts don't really help and aren't a substitute for the real, hard work of making your spaces trans-inclusive. I've seen Jewish people say the same thing, screaming "fuck nazis" doesn't actually make you an ally or make your spaces safer for them. And as someone who has dealt with suicidal loved ones and trauma related to all that I want to tell people that screaming "kys" at nazis and fascists doesn't do anything to make your spaces safe for people like me, it makes them LESS safe, and it doesn't actually hurt nazis and fascists and ableists either. They don't care what you say, and, crucially, you can deplatform them and remove them from your communities WITHOUT hurting vulnerable people in the process.

I mean, sending them anons telling them to "kys" isn't even deplatforming. Reporting them is deplatforming, keeping yourself vigilant of how insidious these ideologies can be and how they and disguse themselves and their dogwhistles is part of deplatforming. Harassing them is just gonna get you banned and hurt people who already are hurting.

So yeah it's jarring as hell to have someone see all that and still insist I'm a closet fascist.
