3 hours into the new sdr season, I decide to open tumblr for a chance and are both parts relieved and concerned to see multiple other fans screaming crying and throwing up VIOLENTLY.

WHAT GOD WHAT WHY??

The part of me that has gone through so many disappointments (supernatural fan) is rolling with the curve balls and going well it’s just the first episode everything might be fine.

The other side of me however is dying a little bit on the inside because COME ON!!

I got really attached to the og crew and npc’s like Leo and Rex despite their short screen time and seeing everything blow up suddenly really fucks me up.

I do understand a little of why they might’ve wanted to change it. Despite its very short run SDR already had a fucking massive storyline with very high stakes I get them maybe wanting to drop it off a few notches and go for a slightly different approach.

Personally I though the story was going towards a massive intergalactic war approach, and this little gaggles of nobodies are suddenly very front and center of the situation because nothing in space happens on accident.

Then this and well, I’m a little sad but I want to pull through. It’s the first few episodes things might get better I trust their story telling abilities to make another compelling storyline that will make me want to throw up just like the first season.

And who knows, the phoenix line could’ve been just a throw away badass one liner or it might have significance later on (I’m a sucker for phoenix imagery please god just this once). Dandy gets mentioned and she doesn’t seem to be dead, silver linings.

Im holding out hope, but I feel like I was kicked in the stomach repeatedly. I have WIPS that will be finished out of this heart break (maybe probably if I remember how to write.)

It was a mistake to kill Bobby. It is making me leave the show for good

I have been trying to find the words for how killing of Bobby makes me feel and the Andy Swift , I have been following have put it in perfect words.

More than anything, however, I’m haunted by this excerpt from Bobby’s final speech: “I’m not choosing to leave you,” he said before succumbing to a deadly virus. “I chose to save my team because it was the right thing to do. It was never because I wanted to go. I don’t want to go. If I could choose, I would stay with you. Always.”

In spite of those clearly established stakes, 9-1-1 is also a comfort watch

It wasn't a great idea to kill Bobby off and I don't know how anyone in 118 can recover from it and focus on themselves.

Writing Buck as anything other than devastated and broken would be criminally dishonest to his character. Not to mention Athena and the unfinished house. Processing this loss in 3 episodes and a summer , while dealing with 911 calls and cop stories , is impossible and can't really happen

Grey mourned the loss of Derek for a long time and he was only related to Meredith. Bobby is everyone's chosen family. He is literally the one feeding them food and guiding them in and outside of work. There is no one to compare.

Changing the entire emotional support network of extended 118, is no easy task and giving it its due will make 911 a much sadder show than it is.
