For those Titan's Tower AUs where Tim is all like, "That's Jason, so I'll let him torture/kill me when he pops by," what if Red Hood walks in on Robin being extra prepared. Tim greets him at the door with a smile, beckons him on over, and shows him the table of torture devices he gathered. It's almost like a kid trying to show their parent the amazing job they did in hopes they'll be praised.

Me, an intellectual: there WAS a way for Odysseus and crew to get past Scylla without one crew member dying. They previously had a bunch of Sirens at their mercy, so if they so wished, they could have used six sirens to satisfy Scylla’s price.

i feel like smth not touched on enough is how,,, genuine astarion is for the very first rest.

he asks the player for confirmation that this is where theyre all stopping for the night and his eyes are so wide and his tone is so light

first bit of info he’ll divulge about himself is that hes not used to curling up in the dirt, and that it’s “a little novel” with this sort of amused exhale of air and lilt at the end like hes still incredulous

if you tell him to give it a try hes like aha nope! i need time to do some hard thinkin and process all of this and it comes across as he says it that hes still processing

and the way he says “you sleep, i’ll keep watch” is so very genuine imo.

and if you thank him, it’s like he realizes that by being nice/courteous he can get the player to like him more, so ONLY THEN does he turn on the charm. at the very end on the conversation.

How NOT to Make a New OC

Write a throwaway side character to be killed - literary fodder to progress your main character's arc.

Make the horrible mistake of naming them.

Give them a backstory to round them out so they're not a hollow walking archetype.

Think "Maybe they don't need to die."

Rewrite your main character's arc so the insignificant fodder character doesn't have to actually die. That was just you being lazy anyway - right?

Quickly find yourself sobbing at everything your precious brave bean has survived and swear no harm will ever come to your new perfect blorbo.

I gotta take a moment and say a thing:

Stop expecting perfection from people.

I mean. Especially singular individuals on the internet.

People aren’t going to know everything. I don’t know everything. YOU do not know everything. You can dedicate your life to a singular topic and still not know everything.

So perfection is impossible.

Social media artists cannot be held to celebrity or business standards. We don’t have copywriters or law teams or press liaisons.

Assuming someone knows the intricacies of English enough to be perfect in it is classist/ableist at best, and assumptive at the least. I know one language, I went to college to learn about this singular language, and I can promise you, i fuck up wrtijg and speaking English CONSTANTLY.

Hounding someone from behind anon is bullying. If you mean to help educate or enlighten someone, be sure enough in your knowledge and conviction to do it with your entire face, or just move on. I’m irritated seeing perfectly decent people pestered by pedantic cravens who can’t even own their views honestly.

And if you don’t want to be put on blast for “trying to help”, then realize your convictions are thus, and move on.

Finally finished the general malewife that at least half the player base was sipping for when the game first came out. He is still my favorite and my main.
