Imagine if you were just vibing with your literal OCs who you made, and some random person comes up to you and goes "UMMMM ACTUALLY your OCs would NEVER act like that because I think they'd act like THIS!" and then they get mad at YOU for not going "oh you're so right, how could I forget I put you in charge of MY OCs?".

sitting next to your best friend — in completely silence, yet accompanied by the silence filled with warmth. the lunch bell was bound to ring just in a few minutes or so. he didn't want to take his hand out of the locks of your hair though.

finding serenity in the way you rest so peacefully in your seat, in your own little word — he wonders if he ever existed with you in that little bubble of yours.

the teacher didn't seem to care whether or not you were listening, but you were. (yoichi would get mad if you began flunking your classes 'cause of your carefree attitude when it came to academics.)

but, he didn't really have a say on the topic considering how he himself has had his own problems regarding school. more specifically his trouble with passing assignments due the date.

maybe it was because of you.

the bell rang in his ear, effectively ending the river of thoughts flooding his mind. and pushing you out of your reverie.

"n/n?" isagi's voice called out ever so delicately, as if he was tending to a flower. — you never liked it. he knew that it made you feel far too vulnerable for your comfort, but he still does it. why? cause he wants you to trust him. trust him enough to have you lend your heart to him; for he would care for you until you bloomed in the warmth of the sun.

"hm?"

"did you bring your lunch?"

"no, 'was planning to buy from the cafeteria."

a frown etched onto his lips. you never went to the cafeteria, because you complained that the noise brothered you a ton. plus, he was hoping that today would be a day for just you and him, under a tree secluded from crowds. a spot just for the two of you.

he didn't wanna go somewhere you weren't fond of. (luckily for him, you were fond of the place just if he was with you.)

"what're you gonna get?"

"apple cider andd..uhh. probably just some melon bread. 'wanna come with?"

"yeah. of course!" and something you were exceptionally fond of was that boyish grin he wore. sometimes you just wished that you could kiss him up on his lips, without the worry if he was going to hate you.

walking on the pavements leading towards the door of the cafeteria, you spotted a vending machine. oh, it also had your apple cider. you looked back at yoichi, he only flashed you a smile. only responding in a quick look away, digging into your bag you got a hold of your wallet.

inserting in the coin inside the slot, you successfully got your drink. with a hint of a smile, you clicked it open.

isagi never really understood your love for the beverage. all he knew was that you liked it. and so, he liked it. with that information alone, if he could he would buy you a box of apple cider.

pressing the cold metal can up to your lips, you drank only some of the drink. swirling the remaining in your hand. looking to your side, yoichi was looking at the drink. (he was actually looking at you, but noone has to know)

"you want?"

and now, being the gentleman that he is, he couldn't just deny you like that now, could he?

with a nod he took the can you handed to him. he gulped down the liquid. the sweet taste turning into a tangy flavor. he didn't like it, but you looked so happy. he figured that it was all worth it he got to see your sweet smile, directed to noone else but him.

interlacing your hands together, you snatched back the drink from his hands — you were so close to him. that was all he could think about.

both of you laughed, for whatever reason. really. there wasn't a reason to, but you just did. and oh how he loved your the sound of happiness coming from you.

"hey, we just kissed."

"oh, just shut up, you idiot." with a fond tone he chuckled. this was the side you liked. his feisty side.

Hiya! Let’s see what the cards say about how he might be feeling right now, shall we? The first pull was the 8 of Coins, Ace of Coins and Queen of Cups.

8 of Coins means he could feel like he needs to keep working. He understands it’s about working every day, diligently, and learning the skills he needs to learn to do his job in the best way. He’s a hard worker and he feels like he just needs to maintain his routine and work. Ace of Coins points to him feeling so lucky and prosperous and wealthy, and he sees so much potential in his career. It’s that raw potential of being able to do anything. Queen of Cups shows him being caring, compassionate and sensitive. He worries about other people’s feelings, and he considers them.

The second pull was the 3 of Cups, 5 of Swords reversed and 4 of Coins. 3 of Cups means PARTY! He’s super happy, celebrating the hell out of it, with friends and family. 5 of Swords reversed points to him feeling like it’s time to leave the losses and defeat behind. The conflict and obstacles and pain are still very much alive in him, but it’s like he can understand now it’s not worth it to cling to his wounds. This card also reminded me of the way Sag-Aftra helped him when he was feeling defeated and gave him the resources to keep going. 4 of Coins shows him, again, feeling like he got everything he’s always wanted and worked so hard for. He could even be afraid to lose it now. He’s holding that success and win very close to his chest (maybe in bed with him, like be said his award would be lol).

I then asked for one card to sum it up and it was The World. He’s feeling on top of the world right now. He went through all the trials and tribulations along the way and he now feels like he reached the successful “ending” of a journey. He got what he wanted.

So as you can see, the man is enjoying every second of it. Now we can put this reading in the #confirmed readings tag because we have a lot of confirmed bits. A: As a Tumblr noob, I followed accts all willy nilly--i was impatient to diversify my dash by account. But now I want it more diverse by fandom too. ✯ L-O-Y-A-L… With a capital L. I mean… we all saw the hell he let Karen drag him through, right? But he stuck around until he just couldn’t anymore. Basically, what I’m trying to point out is that Lip Gallagher is fiercely loyal to the ones he cares about / loves the most.

✯ Territorial af. You don’t have to worry at all about some weirdo at a bar trying to chat you up or buying you drinks when you didn’t ask or catcalling or lurking, any of that. It’s almost eerie how Lip always somehow senses when you’re feeling uncomfortable ™ in a situation involving another person because he’ll materialize outta fucking nowhere with that lazy smirk and a cigarette dangling between his lips. He’ll pull you closer and kind of scoff at the other guy like “Seriously, bro? You really tried, poor idiot.” or… If he catches the guy trying to invade your space or slip something into your drink, he’s not a stranger to starting an all out brawl.

✯ Okay, listen… Lip seems cocky and all that jazz but the boy is astoundingly lacking in the confidence department. So sometimes he just needs to be reminded that he’s the only guy you want. AKA, this boy will sometimes get jealous outta nowhere, for no real reason. 

✯ Here’s the other side of the coin to the above… That’s only if you really matter to him. If you’re just a fling and he’s already got one out the door, he will not be bothered at all so trying to make him jealous just to make him want you more will most likely blow right up in your face. If he’s not attached, he’s not going to magically catch feelings. And what you’ve done is only going to make him put distance between you guys so much quicker.

✯ Taking care of you is his love language. Like… it’s harder for him to really say the words, but his actions -or lack thereof if you’re involved in a fwb thing or you’re a fling who caught feelings, those will prove just how much he really does love you. And he shouldn’t have to say it constantly, amirite? The poor guy just doesn’t do well saying the words because the words themselves are empty in his eyes, it’s the meaning and the actions, the intent behind the words.

✯ So, so so so supportive. And if you’re struggling with something -like say schoolwise, he’ll do literally anything he can to help you get what you want, but… He’s not gonna sit back and do it for you. He’ll help you as much as possible though.

✯ He’s not loaded with money BUT… he can come up with some of the most creative date nights.

✯ Lip + kids… Ugh fuck me uppppp. It’s so fucking sweet, watching him with kids.

✯ Very blunt. So if you really don’t want to know something, it’s better not to ask him. He’ll be gentle but he’s just… Really candid and honest. Speaks his mind a lot and has no trouble doing it, either. If you’re being stupid or a brat, he will tell you. If something doesn’t look that great on you, he will gently tell you that maybe it’s not a good idea to wear it.

✯ Sitting in his lap and shotgunning the smoke from a joint. Ahhhhh. When you’re both giggly and touchy feely.

✯ Always has to be touching you. Very huge into snuggling when you’re sharing a bed or couch or whatever and asleep.

Okay, this is on the subject of the anon(s?) talking about the problematic use of the term "genderbent", which i'm admittedly confused about

(i wanna preface this by saying i'm not trying to come off as rude or accusatory at all, i'm just trying to have a discussion because i'm not completely understanding their point of view here!)

I did some research trying to find what specifically was transphobic about the term, (so that could be cut out, bc it's hard to come up with a replacement term without knowing what was inherently wrong with the first one) and i didn't find a whole lot, but i did find a post which went pretty in depth on why genderbending is problematic

basically they talked about how the term is transphobic because it implies that that gender and sex are the same thing, and also that there are really only two. which is a completely valid point, i can understand that, but why would "body swap" or "sex swap" then not be okay to use?

They also talked about it being erasure of queer representation to assume a character is or was cis in the first place, which again i can understand but unless the character is canonically queer or queer coded then, i don't really get it

like no one is taking your headcanons away from you or trying to erase queer representation, people's headcanons will always conflict with others, it's just unavoidable. i don't think someone having a different character hc than you (as long as it's not them actively ignoring a canonically queer character's orientation) is inherently transphobic.

something they brought up that kind of struck a chord with me is when they invalidated the "excuse of using it for character exploration" and said "Why do you need a character to be cis for you to find their personality and life interesting to explore?" which is just the strawman fallacy. the same thing can be said that "Why do you need a character to be queer for you to find their personality and life interesting to explore?" members of the lgbt community of all people should know that someone's sex/gender/orientation does not define a person. there's so much more to a human than their orientation

but again, most of this is on the subject of why genderbending itself is bad, and not the term alone, so if you're not using it in a transphobic manner i don't see the issue with it?

Again i'm not trying to start a fight or come off as queerphobic, because i'm absolutely not! this just seems like a hasty generalization to me

Super off topic, but I find it so funny how half my blog rn is 'mmm Mystic milk mommy reader' and the other half is having this super serious conversations and discussion. This is what we call duality 😌

Anyway, back to the serious stuff. I was gonna answer this earlier but for some reason the words weren't, like, sinking in? Like I read them, and understood them, but I just couldn't piece them together? If it makes sense.

As long as we're all respectful, I see no reason why we can't have a discussion.

I think the problem with using body/sex swap is still implying that there are only two sexes/genders, because it excludes those that are genderfluid/ non-binary/ etc.. It's kind of like implying that gender is coin, in a way? You can only be one or another, despite it being a wide spectrum.

I ran into a similar issue to the one you bring up when I was deep in the ROTTMNT fandom. If you know, there is a heavy portion of the fandom that que that Leonardo as a MLM/Gay presenting individual, and when faced with any other headcanon, they got quite...mean, I suppose is the best word for it. I was called a plethora of names when I didn't blatantly spell out my own headcanon for him and was told I was erasing Queer representation. So I think that's where some of the problems arise, is with the erasure to start with.

Of course a character doesn't need to be Cis, or Trans, or even really human for them have a personality that people connect with. but people can find comfort in having that ability to relate with another being sharing their issues. They can find solace in knowing that what their feeling doesn't pertain to them alone and that they aren't weird, or broken, or mistaken. Not that any of you are, but I know our minds can be cruel things to us.

I think the problem with it is that, again with the coin, I'm going from one gender to the other without leaving room for any in between. Like, when answering asks, I, even unintentionally, automatically went with a Fem! Presenting AFAB to a Masc! Presenting AMAB with the ordeal when there are several identifications in between.

I'm still trying to figure it all for myself, so I apologize if anything I said was wrong!

2. This one isn't anything you'd like, a shame I just sent it to you but here's a little piece of the most recent WIP I have as of (checks watch) 3 hours ago. BG3 WIP Title pending.

The woman walks out with her tail between her legs, literally, and Alabaster watches the door close soundlessly behind her as if commanded. The silence between them sits for a moment a second or two before Alabaster speaks. “She's pretty. You might have a type though.”  “What are you doing here?” She didn’t think a sleep-ruffled Astarion would be the one she’d be interacting with when she decided to pay a visit today, but the sight is pleasing all the same. His hair is as white as it’s ever been, only a touch longer. She isn’t sure if actual vampires are capable of being surprised (something something the alertness of darkness or something) but the expression on Asraion’s face was what she would coin as ‘your lover coming home to see you with your mistress' . “You missed me?” He asks. It doesn’t come out like a question, as breathy as it sounds.  “I missed you” She responds. She rolls her shoulders, getting ready for the dance that is talking to Astarion. “I also need your help.”  “You came back because you need me?” There's a sharp smile slowly making it’s way onto his face, laughlines bending to build the expression. He’s sitting up, moving to reach her height. She nods, pulling at the tightly wound strings in his chest, plucking absently.  “I need you.” She responds. Talking to him feels like playing an instrument you haven't touched in a long time, slowly allowing muscle memory to take over so the music can once again be moved by your masterful hands. He smiles full now, as if realizing something she doesn’t know, and she’s reminded that you never really forget how to tune an instrument.

3. What helps me focus when I write... booty shaking music for throwing ass OR hating whatever is happening around me. no in-between.

4. This is a really hard question because if we mean like, emotionally? I could cop out and give a three way tie between Complimentary Soap (it isn't good I'm just nostalgic), Nintendo Direct (Circa June 2021) (it is good and I'm nostalgic) and Like A Brick In The Wall (good and new but god it's chaptered.) Thanks for asking about how we're doing, our mental health hasn't been great but we're doing our best and trying to schedule an appointment with our therapist. the hitcher – slightly deranged about this ever since i saw it last week, a movie perfectly tuned to my preferences <3 love love LOVE the main performances & the dreamy atmosphere & the cinematography; just! the americana of it all!! plus there is soooo much to dig into, like the folkloric resonances (i mean the vanishing hitchhiker story HELLO), the gay panic (as in the actual original homophobic meaning) every shot of the first half hour is just LACED with, that scene where he puts the coins over his eyes in the diner.... obsessssssssssed.

the black phone – okay so i watched this last night & it might fade from the faves over the next few days but rn i can't stop Picking at it. genuinely Disturbed me a couple times so 🙈👍 ethan hawke ATE, the little girl playing the sister KILLED it, and my friend pj should've had more screentime so the sets of siblings could parallel each other or something but wcyd ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i am a little I Can Fix It about some of its clunkier plot points, but the main conceit of the phone fucked soooooo hard i can forgive it 💖
