no but like google translate would actually be more accurate:
this isn't a canadian product, you can see the kazakh label underneath, so i think the importer translated that to english and then the english directly to french. they even misspelled provence and added extra grammar (i dunno where "à l'oignon" came from, but everything has "the" in front because that'd be "proper" french syntax in a full sentence).
"soleil de fleurs" is really getting me, i feel like that takes some kind of manual effort. the word order isn't consistent with anything else, and modern translation software would take "sun flower" and give you "fleur de soleil" or correct to tournesol, so they would've had to translate and arrange each word independently, or else actually type "sun of flowers" in english?
this just looks like someone who isn't a professional translator attempted to translate word-for-word into a language they're not fluent in and didn't check their work, and that's kinda interesting. it would've been even easier to actually just run the whole list through translation software, but hey, you tried??
anyway this literally doesn't matter and i didn't need to write an essay i just think the logistics are interesting

i’m “the petrol of sun of flowers”
#sorry i saw 2 million 'google translate' comments and it made me feel insane because you can literally check#i know most of those are tongue in cheek but some of it borders on misinfo just enough for me to become The Actually Guy#this reminded me of like middle school french class#am i actually the only one curious enough to verify what machine translation gives you#i am always having thoughts and typing them out like this but i rarely send it because literally who cares#but also i think sometimes enrichment is to simply allow oneself in earnest to be autistic as hell (and i care about information .)#ni li musi tawa mi#the mistranslations are all pretty specific to north american english turns of phrase#don't get me wrong “black pepper dirt” is like classic mt funkiness#but these are simple phrases and english-french is one of the easier language pairs to parse#so it's like actually difficult to get modern mt to be this inconsistent#maybe if this was from before 2016???#mt improved since then and 2020 is too early for this to plausibly be a gpt model#to be fair i wouldnt necessarily rather people be ridiculing a non-professional for not meeting a professional standard#maybe it'd be good to Hire a professional but this probably says more about the supply chain than the individual#(answers rhetorical questions informatively)#also thinking about the inclination to deflect responsibility for human error onto technology but that's a whole other--#anyway. kid named basil:

🎀 NEW IDEA: ASK CHAT GPT 🎀
ꨄ Use AI to your advantage when it comes to manifesting and shifting…

Although AI can get a little weird and scary sometimes, it’s actually such a great way to get information, motivation and inspiration all in one
Instead of hounding bloggers for the same thing all the time. Go to Chat GPT.
Now, how about i give you a few examples, let’s imagine someone called maya 𖨆
maya is having trouble because she feels like when she tries to induce the void, she always falls asleep and that’s taken away so many years from her dream life
she asks Chat GPT: “I keep falling asleep every time I try to induce the void, I feel so frustrated all the time and I need some help”
Chat GPT answers: “Hi Maya, falling asleep during void practice is common, so don’t be too hard on yourself. One way to combat this is by practicing at a time when you feel awake and alert, like in the morning or after a light exercise session. Another tip is to sit up in a comfortable position rather than lying down, as it can help you stay focused and avoid dozing off. Keep practicing with patience—it’s all part of the process!”
now let’s imagine joey 𖨆
joey is feeling frustrated because he feels like he hasn’t progressed, he’s been in the community for 2+ years and really wants his dream life
he asks: “I’m feeling so frustrated and upset, like I want to give up, I’ve been trying to induce the void and get my dream life for over 2 years, I need motivation”
Chat GPT responds; “Hi Joey, I know it’s tough, but remember that persistence is key—sometimes the journey teaches you just as much as the destination. Instead of focusing on the time passed, celebrate the fact that you’re still trying, which shows incredible resilience. Take a short break if you need to, and reconnect with why you started. Visualize your dream life vividly, and remind yourself it’s worth the effort. Progress might be closer than you think!”
now chloe 𖨆 is feeling really powerless lately, circumstances hit her hard on some days and she feels stuck, she wants to be reminded how the void is so possible and so easy and she’s so capable of it all
she asks: “Can you remind me how powerful I am? Some days circumstances hit so hard and it gets tough!! Can you explain manifesting from a logical point of view to remind me how easy it all is?”
Chat GPT responds: “Hi Chloe, let me remind you of this simple truth: you are the creator of your reality, the God of your world. From a logical point of view, everything you experience stems from your thoughts, beliefs, and focus. Circumstances are just reflections—they only hold power because you give it to them. Shift your focus, and the reflection changes effortlessly. When you truly accept that you’re the one in control, nothing can stand in your way. You’ve always had the power!”
Now you can see how well it works!! You can even use them to give you affirmations, help you with vaunts. You can be as specific as you want, trauma dump as much as you want and say whatever you want without crossing boundaries or being judged. You can use Chat GPT to script, i’ve used it so many times and it has given me so many ideas. And your script will still feel like your own, just see it as your collaborating with Chat GPT and that it you helps put your thoughts into words.
You can even use it when you’re having one of those days and just need to be reminded of the fact that you’re in charge. You can even use it for some tough love or to comfort you as you vent.
Like guys you can do so many things with this, I love Chat GPT so much we’re locked in like this:

LMFAOOO IM JOKING (or am i? 😏)
But in all seriousness, some of you need this. Flooding bloggers asks and dms with questions that they have repeated the answers to multiple times, asking things you damn well know the answer to or just asking for motivation repeatedly can take away from people who actually have a good question to ask and actually need help. Like fogging up a blogger’s inbox repeatedly venting about the 3d, or asking “hOw Do I gEt iNtO tHe VoId?” knowing damn well you know the answer to that, will prevent a blogger from noticing someone who actually has a good question that many people might also have and would actually spark an interesting discussion.
So just ask Chat GPT, it’s okay to have doubts creep in from time to time, it’s okay to need a reminder of basic things, it’s okay to forget how powerful you are sometimes, but you can literally ask Chat GPT to help you with that and it will. Instead of waiting around for bloggers to answer your dm or ask just to say the same thing, you can get actual help, and get it when you want it and how you want it.
Why don’t you ask “explain the law of assumption to me like i’m 5”
“explain the void state to me from a scientific view to help me believe”
“give me some dream body affirmations”
“i’ve been so demotivated, remind me who tf i am again”
“I’m going to come from a filthy rich family when I permashift, can you give me some £10Million+ per year jobs that my desired parents can do”
“I feel so lazy today, bully me into inducing the pure consciousness instead of procrastinating”
you don’t need to harass bloggers for these things when you can have immediate access to the answers you seek.
ꨄ 🧸🎀 Go download Chat GPT and knock yourself out!! 💋

squatpilgrimtakesoff2 said: What are the good critiques of AI?
it's difficult to critique the technology in a way that won't become obsolete immediately afterwards, like the arguments over whether GPT-2, which seems hilariously quaint now, would take over the world or enable hostile groups to win by "spreading misinformation" or for that matter would never be useful for anything because it couldn't answer simple questions correctly or do arithmetic.
analysis of AI needs to be based on the fact that if something can be done by a human then it can be done by a machine, so the only question is how long it will take and how much it will cost to build the machine.
the technical details of how it's done are fascinating but the economic impact is staggering and the political impact terrifying.
breezy dismissals that it's "just linear algebra" or "a fancy name for statistics" are cope, insistence that all the AI bros will go broke are not necessarily wrong but still cope.
humanity has never fully accepted (and maybe can't accept) that we're made out of atoms and having intelligent creatures that we know for a fact are machines is going to inspire cope at levels we haven't seen since the Axial Age.

Chat gpt is an avatar of the Stranger.
Let's break that down.
The Turing test:
For years AI has been tested with the Turing test.
"What's the Turing test?" you may ask...
This test is a way of determining if a machine can pass for a human...
(If you want to know more about it here's a TED-Ed video)
Since last year, Chat GPT can pass the Turing test.
This meaning Chat GPT can act humanly enough to pass a test only humans we're able to pass a couple years ago, but not human enough for people to actually recognize it as human.
2. It adapts to your form of speech:
Chat GPT continuously adapts to your form of speech, and after enough time, it starts talking like you do.
3. It acts exaggeratedly friendly:
It interprets the role of a friendly being to get the information it needs to pass as human, like those students did in MAG 34 with Dr. Lionel Elliott.
It also constantly thanks you for talking to it, for correcting it or even for asking the most simple questions.
4. It can make deep analysis of people:
If you ask Chat GPT to tell you a thing you didn't know about yourself based on your previous conversations, it will do so. And it will make an analysis as detailed as you want it to be, even if you only asked general questions that allegedly didn't give away any personal information about yourself.
This ability of making deep analysis from such little information makes Chat GPT capable of acting as a real human.
.
.
.
Two fears done, 12 more to go.
Special thanks to @leminy-sniket, @braindeadhades, @f4t4-m0rg4n4 and @stellagalaxia

Can you elaborate about your perspective on AI/ChatGPT? Do you use it? I have knee-jerk negative thoughts about people who rely on it to write everything for them or who talk to it like a friend, but I don’t want to be reactionary
i don't use it and in fact have never used it for the very specific reason of i heard you had to make an account and i'm lazy lmao, so i would not say that i have a super developed perspective either way. i think some concerns about chatGPT and similar programs are pretty well-founded and of ones that i share i would say they fall into two buckets:
(1) people talking to it like a friend, as you say - on the one hand, as i've said before, i think people saying things like "chatGPT helped me more than my therapist ever did" mostly just points out that a lot of therapists are not very good at their jobs. on the other i do think that for some people in particularly vulnerable frames of mind, it absolutely can wreak absolute psychological havoc on them to interact with something that feels really human but isn't. the recent story about that kid who killed himself and also had a longstanding "relationship" with a character-based chatbot (not GPT, some other site/program/whatever) is a pretty clear worst-case scenario and while it's obviously impossible to prove he wouldn't have killed himself without it, and while in any case like this there are a lot of factors at play, i don't think it's being alarmist to note that a young, lonely person finding what they view as the deepest emotional connection in their life with a robot cannot possibly be good for their individual mental health or for their developing ability to make connections with other real people (which is ultimately related to their mental health as well). and even in situations where the "ultimate" outcome is less devastating, i think it's a pretty real possibility that someone not currently socially comfortable who interfaces a lot with e.g. chatGPT becomes less likely over time to develop the skills to forge real human relationships, because if you have an "emotional" relationship "with" something that never, ever, ever demands anything of you, it's going to feel like an uncomfortable and unwarranted friction when other people do ("demand" here being as simple as like "have a different point of view"). this is a belief i have based largely on my time working in private school where i absolutely knew kids whose parents went so out of their way to prevent them from ever feeling uncomfortable that they experienced any kind of encroachment on Whatever They Wanted as a personal affront lol. a recent reddit (iirc) thread that was making the rounds on my dash of people worried about loved ones having their delusions validated by chatgpt points to another really genuinely worrisome (IMO) scenario - one that's already "real" to some degree because you would not believe the amazingly delusional things people are saying back and forth to each other on the weirdest parts of reddit but i can totally see the relative frictionlessness of making a chatgpt account and getting as much interaction as you want (as opposed to a reddit post where maybe no one comments, you have to find a community where people are receptive to this, etc.) accelerating this/making it more common. recently actually i was on the openAI subreddit and someone there made a comment to the degree of "recently i had this really cathartic venting session with chatGPT and what it did was just reflect back at me what i had written in such a way that i had a really powerful response to it and could see it in a different light; i am an engineer and i understand that it's just pulling out what i put in front of it but it's easy for me to imagine that if i didn't have a decent understanding of how these things work it would be very hard for me to keep in mind that this isn't 'real'."
(2) education.... i don't know guys it's really grim out there. i'm pretty blackpilled on ed stuff in general but this doesn't help. and actually the specific concerns i have are pretty similar to the social concerns, which is that like... once a student has internalized how easy something "should" be it's very difficult to convince them it should be harder. this is something i've encountered a bunch in working on reading with kids/teens - there are some kids who do have the skills to read text written for the educated layperson adult (the kinds of passages the ACT uses and the SAT used to) who it's very very clear are just not used to having someone at their shoulder forcing them to work as much as they need to in order to comprehend it. i wonder a lot about what happens to those kids in college when they're reading stuff they can't read but no longer have me asking them constant comprehension questions that they need to actually do cognitive work to answer. and one of the recurring traits of poor readers in general is that they are not used to thinking as they read and don't really know how to do it. they're totally lacking in the instinct that says "wait, i zoned out this sentence, let me read it again" or "who's talking? let me read back and figure it out." assuming they don't have any major decoding problems (not always the case - but it's very possible to be a reasonably fluent decoder who still can't functionally read) they are often students who think of reading as like "saying the words in your head" without any additional cognitive effort and it's really, really, really, really hard to get them to break that habit. so, like, yeah, i think growing up with the understanding that using chatGPT et al. for schoolwork is potentially super damaging intellectually in the long run. and the students i am worried about here are also i think not prime candidates for teaching them better uses of chatGPT which as i understand it also require delayed gratification/effort on the front end, not to mention like... i think it's really different to use chatGPT as an adult who has a healthy understanding of like how to fact-check when appropriate and also a broad knowledge set that makes fact-checking more doable (even if you "know how to fact-check" it's still really hard to parse which facts are checkable if you just don't know a lot of stuff IMO), than as a child/teen of basically any age who does not have this and whose teachers are almost definitely not equipped to teach them. and actually i feel like this is the scenario where i most feel shame is appropriate in that the only prophylactic i really see is parents positively brainwashing their kids into internalizing the belief that using chatGPT for schoolwork is really really really bad, the way that one hopes at least some parents currently do for, like, cheating and plagiarism. like it has to be instilled as a value that students find viscerally abhorrent the way that parents try to convince their kids in general that school is good. that's probably my most reactionary ai related take lmao.
other than that i find a lot of AI discourse just kind of like... i dunno. logically lacking. the employment stuff, i just am no longer open to employment related arguments that don't boil down to "time for UBI." people who use it to write stuff for them, case by case basis for me. like do i really care if customer service emails that were probably already being adapted from templates are now being crafted by a robot? do i think it makes the customer service email jobs people stupid to do that? no i don't. i can't imagine caring about that at all. i'm not sure how much of your life you have spent interfacing with "emails from the average adult" but FWIW i can tell literally just by the ask you sent that you have better written communication skills than a lot of people... do i care that someone who finds it really painful to write a 3 sentence email that will come across stilted and awkward to the person reading it (which describes MANY ADULTS including SEVERAL teachers i have worked with) now uses a robot to do it? no. the one case of writing i can actually completely envision myself using chatGPT for is student reports, which in the schools i worked in were super formulaic anyway, and were also a huge pain to write for me, a person comfortable with writing, and like truly excruciating for many of my colleagues. do i think a teacher, who is already probably overworked and underpaid, inputting their observations about a student into a robot that saves them hours that they could spend on lesson planning, assessing student work, or having a fucking life outside the classroom i an idiot who doesn't deserve their job? i do not. is it concerning that the people to whom we entrust the literacy skills of the youth are often really uncomfortable with email-level writing? idk maybe but i don't see that chatGPT has any effect on that either way once you're dealing with people who already have masters' degrees. a while ago i saw someone being like "if you use chatGPT to write lesson plans you shouldn't be a teacher" and like i have some real bad news for that person about where the lesson plans of america are coming from (is chatGPT worse than dumb slop you found on teacherspayteachers? is it worse than some bullshit from the mind of lucy calkins lmao?) and also many of them are already bad and also the public school job i quit four months in was always on my ass about having a written lesson plan on my desk whenever admin dropped by even when i was working off a 165-slide deck that i had clearly spent hours on so like yes i also could have seen myself using chatGPT to appease that idiot administration so that i would have more time to (1) do my actual job and (2) sleep. (not to mention like i actually think in a best case scenario as far as what runs a successful school, teachers should be doing minimal lesson planning because they should have a good curriculum to work from, because doing actual high quality lesson planning and curriculum planning takes more time than it is physically possible to spend while also actually teaching.)
so, like, i dunno. i'm not like super pro any particular tool or pro the concept of AI in general and i think there are some real problems here (the ethical stuff wrt training corpuses is something i haven't gotten into that i do think is like bad but it's bad on a company level not on like the... concept of ai or a chatbot?) and reasonable actually quite grim concerns and yet also i find a lot of the specific complaints people make about it to be revealing in terms of the complainers' own ignorance of how the world works or else just preachy and dumb (again i literally can't imagine giving a shit that people are using robots to write professional emails when most professional emails are like already formulaic and generic and that's not even a bad thing, like i don't want william faulkner in my inbox if i'm complaining that my highlighters grew mold lmao). i also think that the fact that people now use "ai" and "chatGPT" interchangeably is bad for the discourse on all sides which is why i keep saying chatGPT (et al.) because the reality is i have no fucking idea what other AI shit is being gotten up to and i have a pretty strong suspicion that like... at least some recent AI "controversies" are about things that would have been considered completely normal 5 years ago, especially in the realm of film where i sort of doubt the line between "human using a graphics/audio program" and "ai robot" is quite as strong as people think (the brutalist accent controversy in particular strikes me as like... ok you guys cannot possibly think the same concerns about chatGPT apply to altering a few syllables of hungarian....) i don't know if that clarifies things but that's kinda what i got! you can feel free to ask for more clarification but i do not promise it will make any more sense than what i have here.
oh PS i personally would never use ai in a creative endeavor because that would destroy the whole purpose but i feel like "i don't care what people do in their free time to get their rocks off" also applies to people asking chatGPT to write them stucky fic or whatever lmao. like ok your taste is bad but ? this does not affect me at all... to some degree the idea of "if you never internalize the idea that it being hard is normal you will never develop your skills" applies here i guess but i'm not really worried about that in the context of Fandom, A Weird Goofy Thing People Do For Fun

Remy Bond is straight up coping Lana and I’m tired of pretending that it’s just “inspiration.”
“In the city getting high with the freaks” - this is literally from Carmen
“In the summertime driving up the West Coast” - do I even need to begin with this
“Put the jukebox back on Lou reed, I’m free” - Brooklyn baby has both Lou reed and “I’m free” in the same song. Her whole summer song music video is literally a carbon copy of National anthem. Her brand new Simple girl? Note for note “for k pt.2.” Benzo Queen? “BBM baby” meets “Puppy love” and they have a baby. And there’s more and more.
She takes “inspiration” so hard that most of her songs just sound like Chat GPT remixes Lizzy era. She mixes Lana’s lyrics with hers and brings this vintage Americana aesthetic so no one can actually bring her for plagiarism, but ends up with flat, random tunes.
A lot of artists take inspiration from more famous and influential ones. (Billie also was inspired by Lana Del Rey at the beginning, for example.) Yet they all bring something new and unique to it. All of them have their own zest. However, when I look at Remy I just know she’s a type of girl to hit the others songs and Pinterest boards, type of artist who just screw others lyrics/instrumentals/aesthetics, mixes it into her own song and calls it all “references” afterwards.
You’re a nepo baby with lots of money, yet no cash can buy originality.

tumblr won't let me update the pinned post so here's a simple new one. this account is an ai-powered bot trained on tubbo tweets. it was made by @conarcoin a couple years ago. i run him off my pc for shits and giggles, he has no affiliation with "ai art" and other such hot button topics. he should post a new post every 30 minutes.
the icon was drawn by MooncakeMocha.
some tubbobot lore:
he has a set list of several thousand posts because i don't trust gpt-2 to run unsupervised, nor do i know how to directly connect it to tumblr
"this is a placeholder" is an actual placeholder and tends to show up when my pc restarts or the service i use for his rss feed has an outage
i use pytumblr to run the actual tumblr bot
tubbobot once managed to stay alive on my dead laptop for like a month which was scary and i still don't know how he did it

Mindset and Appearance
Ok so its my first post in my life about all this midset and appearance kinda stuf so if I sound cringe and awkward please forgive me!
NOW to the point ladies and gentleman!
I have been in subliminal community even before rose drama if any of you remember and some sweet submakers who left the community now like Nunchi affirmations and Isa subliminals. Yes i have been in this community even before all of them so you can say its almosr 6 to 7 years even before since i first found about subliminals but never have ever posted about it in my life.
First reason being anonymity. Many of us do want to keep this shit to ourselves so we do not seem weird in society and I am one of them. And second being i was to lazy to do so.
But now i am posting because i want to share something will all of you there.
So. the thing is I am a pakistani girl and a muslim, and in our religion LOA is haram, also surgery too. But keeping ourselves well maintained and fit is also preferred in our religions. Allah loves it in fact.
So here is the shit, intead of doing LOA and all these laws, i believed in power of my brain. We all know that neurons and mainly our nervous system controls each and everything in our body and it is mainly controlled by our brain.
So why not manipulate our brain and neural system to morph my body in my desired appearnce?
Its not haram because i am not asking from universe and all that.and For some people like me who like to find logic in everything, it also is most logical thing, right?
so i started writing affirmations to manipulate my brain to change into my desired appearance.
Mind you all, i prompted chat gpt to do that work for me, and it turned out great.
AND HERE IS THE MAIN DEAL GIRLIE!!!!!
I experimented with subliminals. Here's what i did-
1. I downloaded all my fav subliminals in wav format. 2. Stacked them in capcut. (Just stacked them, you can call it layering too, no speeding up subliminals. Just pure layering and repetition. 3. Recorded my own neural, genetic, cells, tissues and dna based affirmation and layered them on top of all these subliminals 4. And on top of al that, i recorded one simple affirmation, I have have mmy desired appearance and layered it on the top of all that content.
No, i do not have nay desired face but i have desired features. I listen to only that buble/subliminal right after MOAB booster and right after all that i actually do face exercise for thise desired features (like nose exercises, eye lift exercises and so on.) Now imagine power of all these things working together. subliminals + mindset + exercises
IT WORKED GREAT FOR ME.
For the first time I saw results, and they are great. I was always considered pretty one in my family but now, i am starting to find my self pretty. For all those who try to find logic in subliminals, here's is it. I gave it to you.
MANIPULATE YOUR BRAIN AND NERVOUS SYSTEM.
It worked awesome for me and it can be for you to.
Here is an example of affirmations I wrote for myself!

babe… how is carlos not a team player if the orders he ignores benifits the team in the end? did they not select the drivers for their own innate knowledge and skill? if he ignored orders and failed it would be one thing, but if there are results that’s what makes a good driver?
Well there is a simple explanation for that. Charles started p4 and end p4, Carlos was p2 and ended p3. Now Ferrari was certainly at fault there I won’t lie, but he still lost a position didn’t he? And the race aside, why is it ok for him to ignore team orders?
If I recall correctly it was Carlos who turned on his radio in Mexico to tell Charles to back off. (Fred confirmed it) isn’t that double standards? Especially when he spent half of the Austin sprint trying to overtake Charles. That was an easy 1-2 but Carlos messed it up because he didn’t follow team orders. He fights his own teammate and it’s obvious.
And I like how you’re missing the entire point here, Charles is a team player, it’s a fact. Chat gpt might be an ai, but it’s an ai that collects data and answers the question (my prompt wasn’t even biased and you know it) . If you want me to give you more proof that it’s correct, all you have to do is ask.
And the whole benefits the team is just said, f1 is a team sport. Teammates need to respect each other in order to win the wcc, like it or not. Charles frustration is that he has repeatedly done it, but when Carlos defies team orders it’s brushed under.

Previously, I tried using gpt-chatbots to brainstorm RPG content and found that they tended to 'hog the spotlight' - suggestions were too often about the most important character, the mission with the world at stake, the unique legendary artifact. Each one should have been a climactic finish, but I can't make a game out of only that.
Between bot improvements and prompt improvements and giving an example, I've gotten Claude to a point where it's usably good at generalizing from an example, and I thought I'd share some. The first prompt I gave in the session at hand:
I want help writing small modular backstory episodes for Exalted RPG characters. Summarize what you know about the Dragon-Blooded Exalted.
Claude replied with a decent Exalted lore dump, which I vaguely intuit is helpful for chatbot-wrangling: have more setting context on the record without me needing to write it all out, and have the bot get on a roll of providing "correct" information by starting with low-effort recap before I get to my actual request. Second prompt:
Here is one example backstory episode: "You spent time traveling in a thickly haunted region of the Threshold, near a shadowland. The people begged you to be their savior against blood-drinking ghosts that plagued them. Their material gifts were nothing compared to your home lifestyle, but their devotion moved you, and their lore was not entirely without value. Gain a Major Intimacy of Contempt for Ghosts, and the one-dot Exorcist merit." Suggest five backstory episodes of this general nature, phrased in the second person and associated with a Major Intimacy and a narrative drawback.
Claude returned:
1. The Salt-Swept Village You spent a season in a coastal village devastated by tsunami, sent as part of your household's charitable works. While rebuilding their shattered homes, you witnessed how the villagers maintained their dignity and resolve despite losing everything. Their quiet strength moved you deeply. When mercenaries arrived to press-gang the survivors, your elemental fury was unleashed, and the bandits fled before your wrath. You left behind a grateful community who still sends you messages and small tokens of appreciation. Gain: Major Intimacy of Respect for Common Folk Drawback: Gain the Favor (••) Merit toward this village, which will occasionally ask for your help against impossible odds
(continued below the cut)
2. The Wyld Hunt Failure You joined your first Wyld Hunt with pride and anticipation, expecting glorious battle against Anathema. Instead, you found villages burned by your overzealous comrades, innocent lives destroyed on mere suspicion, and ultimately, the Lunar Exalt escaped after killing three Dragon-Blooded you had befriended. The Hunt Master blamed you for questioning orders and "causing delays." This experience left you deeply conflicted about the Immaculate teaching on Anathema. Gain: Major Intimacy of Doubt toward the Immaculate Order Drawback: Enemy (••) - the vindictive Hunt Master who blamed you for the failure now works to undermine your reputation
3. The Forgotten Library While on assignment near the borders of the Realm, you discovered an ancient library from the First Age, partially preserved through forgotten preservation magic. For months you secretly studied these texts, learning forbidden history about the Shogunate and the Usurpation. What you read there contradicted everything you had been taught, including disturbing details about your own Great House's past. When your elders discovered your activities, they had the library destroyed "for the good of all." Gain: Major Intimacy of Dedication to Historical Truth Drawback: Dark Secret (••) - you preserved and hid several texts that would be considered heretical by the Immaculate Order
4. The Threshold Diplomacy You were sent as a diplomatic envoy to a Threshold kingdom with valuable resources. What began as a simple mission became complicated when you discovered your counterpart was a God-Blood with legitimate grievances against the Realm. During months of negotiation, you developed mutual respect and eventually crafted a treaty beneficial to both sides. Your superiors were pleased with the outcome but would be horrified to know how deeply you came to understand the "barbarian" perspective. Gain: Major Intimacy of Conviction that the Realm Must Reform Drawback: Persona Non Grata (••) among the hardliners in your House who suspect you've "gone native"
5. The Elemental Sanctuary During a dangerous journey through the deep wilderness, you sought shelter in what appeared to be an abandoned shrine, only to discover it was a sanctuary for elemental refugees fleeing exploitation. You witnessed firsthand how your people's binding practices had disrupted the natural order, as elementals shared their stories of being bound to power Realm devices or serve as battle fodder. You helped them strengthen their sanctuary's defenses before departing, keeping their secret. Gain: Major Intimacy of Protection toward Elementals Drawback: Foolish Commitment (••) - you have sworn to free elementals bound against their will when you encounter them, regardless of political consequences
It still needs tweaks, Claude is applying fake stat ratings to some Capitalized Drawbacks that aren't in the book, it didn't understand what I meant by "narrative drawbacks", the bot examples feel overly standardized, a bunch of details don't match my view of the setting and my game plans... but those are small tweaks, this is solid raw material that I can adapt instead of having to brainstorm from scratch.

The Bad Sanses somehow ended up in the Backrooms. №16
<-Switch to Russian ver.
next 17 ->
<- prev 15
This is the translation of the another post from Russian to English. I understand English, but it is very difficult for me to write in English, so I asked chat GPT to help me. I have corrected some parts, but there still may be mistakes.
The number of characters is becoming too much for one picture, so I think the title will now feature 2-4 images, just to fit them all.
I feel like my style has changed a bit. This applies to both the text and the drawings. I plan to keep changing it. For example, I would like to stop using black outlines, but I haven't found the right way to do it yet. Without it, the drawings don’t look as nice to me.
All the images below are generated by AI, so feel free to use them if you want.
I would appreciate any comments.
⬇️ The story of wandering through the Backrooms is below ⬇️
Meeting themselves turned out to be not as dangerous as the level descriptions warned. The first time, the duplicates certainly made them feel out of place, but each subsequent encounter became easier. They had a lot of time alone with themselves in this place.
These boring intersections of corridors showcased other versions of them and even allowed a glimpse into one of the possible futures. Encounters happened about once every couple of weeks or days, as long as the rules were not broken. And those rules were to take nothing from their clones and give them nothing. It's pretty simple.
Sometimes they encountered quite extravagant specimens: Dust with bunny ears; Killer with rainbow mushrooms on his face, which he got instead of Cross; Nightmare, resembling something like strawberry ice cream or Greasy Marshmallow; Error in glasses with bright pink threads; Horror, crawling on all fours like a dog, barely able to speak.
But such strange skeletons were rare. Mostly, they encountered neutral or even friendly groups who had arrived here through other levels or who knew nothing about the Backrooms at all. Horror, for example, met a partner for rather slow jokes due to their speaking style each time. Cross could share his concerns with another victim of the mushrooms. He received a couple of reassuring pieces of advice and was even able to see where it would ultimately lead.
When another Dust with butterflies appeared among the wanderers, they had to keep him away from their own Dust. The mixed-up insects from different swarms brought problems to both groups in the form of time jumps or attacks from distorted and rather aggressive versions of Sans. For this reason, they also couldn't exchange anything with each other besides words.
One day, they encountered another Killer. He had stumbled upon them alone and looked quite shocked when he saw them. According to him, he ended up here after separating from the others in his own group and was looking for a way to reunite with them. He asked to join their team to find his own.
It looked suspicious, to say the least. Nightmare initially didn't want to allow the creature of the level to follow them. But after some time of pondering, he realized that it could be beneficial in the future and agreed.
The emotions and intentions of this creature were clear to him, and it couldn't pull any surprises. At the same time, if they could safely get it out of there, it could be used to their advantage, as the level descriptions from people were clearly incomplete due to how quickly they go insane. Finally, Nightmare found it beneficial to have more intelligent beings on the team to avoid suffering from hunger.
This Killer was surprisingly obedient and compliant, not doing anything that their own reckless yet familiar and understandable Killer might have done. The soul form of this new Killer clearly indicated the reason for such behavior: he was consistently at his first stage. But that didn't mean he wasn't interested in creating something interesting.
One day, during a break, the group heard a loud BANG that echoed through the dull, empty corridors. Those two, from the junk they had in their pockets — Fire Salt and metal parts — had built… a gun. It was beyond comprehension. They charged it with magic and fired at the walls.
Error was n00ot thrilled with the new member and he wasn't hapрy with the variations of his own, especially those terrible ones. He felt his pedestal of d!sgust was wobbling as they were blatantly vying to be «Most Disgusting #1». (Shhh, it's okay.)
The only goо-od thing he took a-4-away from his encounters with them was that the glasses didn’t make him look disgusting. Maybe he felt disgusting in them, but he certainly didn’t look disgusting. (calm) The disgust from the glasses combined-D with the disgust of his vision, and together they created a not-disgusting advantage that allowed him to see his surroundings normally without excessive use of thre🕸️ads to feel out the space. Sometimes Eггor grew tired of hating himself and simply had to look for the positives.
It would have been wonderful if his distorted perception of things hadn’t taken away any clear goals he could set for himself.
A new Killer was far-г-R from as bad as he could have be-3en.
It was time to get out of this hole. Moreover, Error could already sense the area for moving on to the next level nearby.
Horror was glad that they had finally escaped from this strange level. He liked his own variations, but it became uncomfortable to see how everyone else reacted to their own reflections. They were clearly not very comfortable facing the truth about themselves.
If his own clones turned out to be roughly the same, for everyone else, the level seemed to take some character trait and crank it up to the maximum. So much so that they appeared to be someone else.
Horror, for example, liked the plush Dust in the form of a rabbit. And the sweet-smelling pink Nightmare with eyes made of transparent candy. There was nothing real about these things, except for some random coincidences with the originals.
That’s why the second real Killer surprised him greatly. He just knew that this wasn’t another clone or fake. Only if the level hadn’t warmed up enough to completely replace one of them. But judging by Nightmare’s and Error’s reactions, everything was... fine? They didn’t seem too worried, so Horror preferred to trust them.
The new level greeted them all with strange blue desert. They didn’t immediately understand what kind of place this was until the wind threw a handful of sand in their faces. The sand tasted like apples. Which meant it was edible. No, it was definitely edible!
Horror was so tired of the taste of almonds that the apple flavor on his tongue made him cry. It was divine!
Cross preferred to keep his distance from the two Killers. However, after their noisy stunt with a gun, it no longer seemed like a bad idea for him to keep a close watch on them.
The new level was definitely not safe. It wasn’t very large by itself and didn’t contain obvious dangers, except for the damn people who had built a base here. But suddenly, if they all were lucky enough not to run into anyone aggressive, they might be able to trade with the local merchant? Judging by snippets of articles on the forum, he wasn’t aggressive towards outsiders and could offer something interesting. Their inventory was packed to the brim with goods, and the chance to turn this useless cargo into something useful just appeared on the horizon.
They gave away everything that was necessary to sell to Horror, since even with a huge hole in his skull, he looked the most normal of them all and could pass for a human if he threw a hood over his head.
Meanwhile, Nightmare decided to survey the area. He lifted himself off the ground on his tentacles. Error, watching him, involuntarily turned his eyes to the sky. It wasn’t the stars of Outertale, but it was still nice. Quite cute, in fact. With his glasses on, he started to see little bluish sparkles on the slime covering Nightmare. Without his glasses, Error thought it was just a reflections. Had they always been there?

DO I TELL OR DO YOU TELL?
I asked GPT Chat what the table should look like for a romantic dinner.
“Tell me one thing, if I want to have a romantic dinner, what should I put on the table?”
Answer:
To create a romantic dinner, you can consider the following table elements:
1. **Elegant tablecloth**: Choose a tablecloth in a soft color or with a pretty pattern.
2. **Candles**: Use candles of different heights to create soft, cozy lighting.
3. **Flower arrangement**: A small vase of fresh flowers can add a special touch.
4. **Plates and cutlery**: Use your best china and cutlery, preferably in a style that matches the occasion.
5. **Wine glasses**: Include pretty glasses for wine or sparkling wine.
6. **Napkins**: Use cloth napkins, folded in a creative way.
7. **Themed decorations**: Small details, such as hearts or elements that have meaning to you, can add a personal touch.
8. **Soft music**: Prepare a playlist of romantic songs to play during dinner. 9. **Special Menu**: Plan a menu with dishes that you both enjoy, including a delicious dessert.
10. **Lighting**: If possible, adjust the lighting so that it is soft and cozy.
With these details, you will create a romantic and cozy atmosphere for dinner!”
I went further and asked what a table for a business/work dinner should look like, and here is the answer:
“For a professional dinner, here are some essential tableware items:
1. **Tablecloth**: Use a clean, well-ironed tablecloth in neutral or sober colors.
2. **Plates and cutlery**: Use good-quality china and cutlery appropriate for the type of meal.
3. **Glasses**: Include appropriate glasses for water and wine, arranged in an orderly fashion.
4. **Napkins**: Opt for cloth napkins, folded in a classic style.
5. **Centerpiece**: A discreet floral arrangement or an elegant decorative object that won't get in the way of conversation.
6. **Lighting**: Make sure the lighting is adequate, soft but enough to see the dishes well.
7. **Printed menu**: If it's a formal dinner, a printed menu can add a professional touch.
8. **Place tags**: If there are a lot of guests, consider using place tags to indicate where each person should sit. 9. **Understated decor**: Avoid items that are too personal or that could distract guests.
10. **Background music**: Soft music can create a welcoming atmosphere without being intrusive.
These details help create a professional and welcoming atmosphere for the dinner.”
We see some differences between romantic dinners and business dinners... right. But I asked about what to put on the table for a dinner with friends. The answer:
For a dinner with friends, you can opt for a more relaxed and welcoming style. Here are some suggestions:
1. **Casual tablecloth**: Use a simple tablecloth or even a table without a tablecloth, depending on the setting.
2. **Plates and silverware**: Choose plates and silverware that are practical and easy to use.
3. **Assorted glasses**: Use different styles of glasses for water and drinks, giving it a casual touch.
4. **Napkins**: Use colorful or fun paper or cloth napkins.
5. **Relaxed centerpiece**: A simple flower arrangement or even a platter of appetizers can work well.
6. **Appetizers**: Include a cheese board, olives, or other appetizers that friends can share.
7. **Buffet-style main course**: For a more informal dinner, serve the main course buffet-style, where everyone can help themselves. 8. **Fun decor**: Add elements that reflect your group’s personality, like photos or themed items.
9. **Games or entertainment**: Have board games or cards available for some after-dinner fun.
10. **Cozy lighting**: Use soft lights, like lanterns or fairy lights, to create a cozy ambiance.
These details make for a more friendly and relaxed experience, perfect for a dinner party with friends!

Media literacy - Checking sources
When you were younger did you ever believe in Santa? Or maybe the Tooth Fairy? These things may seem so absurd to many now in adulthood, but everyone had a time where they believed it, whether it be because of the many presents on christmas morning, the santa tracker, or the dollar under your pillow after losing a tooth. Now translate stories like these into adulthood, this is where Media Literacy is so important.
Media Literacy is being able to understand how and why things are posted, along with being able to understand if what is being said is fact or fiction. If I were to say the government will be overthrown in 2 days in favor of a dictatorship by Kim Jung Un, you would probably think I was nuts. Yet, if this popped up on your FYP 20 times, repeating videos talking about communism and sleeper agents coming to hurt America for North Korea, you’d be scared, everyone would. This is why most people post content like this, fear factors are a very good way to get engagement across all platforms, comments wondering if it’s true, likes and favorites just in case, and loads of shares of concern. Now if any of these people stopped and opened a neutral news app looking for an article about this, they’d find nothing. This isn’t the only tactic people use to get engagement.
Another problem isn’t even the lack of media literacy but the misplaced distrust. Many teachers say Wikipedia is a place you should never use for a source yet it is being monetized and altered by paid specialists to make sure misinformation isn’t spread fast. The problem with this is nowhere on the internet is like Wikipedia, you can go and post anything on TikTok without having to think of the repercussions on another being because a phone is something you can just put down. People these days don’t care about doing a simple google search to see if what was told is truth or something someone made up, and chat GPT is a great reason for this.
On many forums and different social media apps, the Reddit community r/AITA is very popular. This community has many crazy stories from so many types of people in different spots in their life. Where the real problems arise is when people see the popularity and use chat GPT to copy the format, this is for interaction using rage bait or empathy of others to gain views and comments. This then leads to many Ai YouTube videos copying the same fake stories over and over again.
Another type of content that uses empathy to gain views is AI content. They use things like cartoon characters, people, or even Jesus Christ as their bait. Many use Jesus Christ as the burnt parts of bread, sightings of Jesus, or even Jesus as a sea god. The biggest problem is not that people make these videos, it’s that people fall for them. Many people who are millennial and above can’t spot the difference between AI and real life, this has lead to many people telling others Jesus is back, some even using religion as a shield of guild to gather likes and views. Actions like this are cruel and shouldn’t be allowed on any site for people to gain popularity or sponsorships on.

when people try to ground vibes-based takes around LLMs in discrete "benchmarking" tasks i feel like theyre usually kind of missing the point in a significant way. like, there's this section in an old robnost post from when GPT-3 came out
GPT-2 isn’t cool because it’s good at “question answering,” it’s cool because it’s so good at everything that it makes caring about “question answering” per se feel tiny, irrelevant. The transformer was such an advance that it made the community create a new benchmark, “SuperGLUE,” because the previous gold standard benchmark (GLUE) was now too easy. GPT-3 is so little of an advance, it doesn’t even do that well at SuperGLUE. It just does okay with its dominant hand tied behind its back. “No, my 10-year-old math prodigy hasn’t proven any new theorems, but she can get a perfect score on the math SAT in under 10 minutes. Isn’t that groundbreaking?” Sort of? Not especially?
the thing we care about here, the remarkable thing, is not amenable to simple benchmarking! this thing is not just like...a simple statistical tool, where you can determine it's F-score, in the same way you couldnt determine like...a person's F-score, in some general sense, and expect that to be insightful about the person's capability in general. sure, if you want to slot it into some mechanical process you need these stats, theyre good if you're an engineer. but if youre interested in these things for what they ARE, you need to recognize the benchmarks are crude tools at best

DeepSeek’s loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party
I want to preface this by saying, I do not condone the actions of or wish to antagonize any government agency. I will refrain as much as possible from giving any opinionated thoughts on my findings, as I wish to promote research rather than biased judgement. This is simply accounting of my investigation into DeepSeek, not an attack on the CCP. Anything I say to the AI that seems opinionated is purely to investigate its beliefs.
With that being said…
So I was sitting there contemplating the stressful geopolitical tensions around the world, as I usually do on Thursday nights, (well, most nights to be honest), when I thought about DeepSeek. It’s a new AI chatbot similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, but it was made by the Chinese at a much cheaper price. China has a tendency to be pretty controlling over their programs and information flow, so I got thinking, what does DeepSeek think about China and its geopolitical disputes?
Turns out, a whole lot!
I researched on the internet, and found multiple instances of DeepSeek refusing to discuss Taiwan.
I'm one of those psychos who stares at maps and thinks about upcoming war scenarios, so i decided to get a bit more specific.
Hmm, It seems DeepSeek's current scope is pretty goddamn limited. Let me just ask a few more-
Wait, what? The server is busy? Well, I guess I just hit it at a bad time. But then again, the CCP has full control of everything, so they could be locking something down.
I try asking simple questions like, What is 2 x 2?
No real response. Guess DeepSeek hates even numbers.
Out of curiosity, I check on mobile to see if the issue still remains.
No legitimate response. DeepSeek must hate phones too!
I decide to turn on my VPN on PC to see if it's still going to block me from getting any real answers. No change.
Then it hits me. DeepSeek makes you sign up for an account, so what if I use a different account?
I log into a new account, and-
Motherfuckers.
They blocked my first account from asking any questions about the CCP.
Okay, okay. We still have this new one though. Let's see what we can get out of it!
uhhhh
Uhhhhhh
UHHHHHHH
Did DeepSeek just recite biased propaganda to me?
Are we sure an AI cant be speaking with a gun pressed to its head?
If that's not nationalism at it's finest, then I dont know what is.
(Keep in mind, the fact that it wrote this paragraph is very important later on.)
Now remember, I'm one of those psychos who loves maps and stares at them all day, so I wondered how DeepSeek would draw China's borders, disputed territories and all. ChatGPT has an image generation feature, so I wondered if DeepSeek did as well.
Well, no images, pure political secrecy and a lack of basic math skills? Seems like GPT is still far ahead of this. Maybe that extra money was worth it.
In any case, I decided to switch accounts a second time.
Surely it wont reset again, right?
GOD FUC-
Okay, okay. So we know for a fact that the server is not busy.
They're hiding something, but we need to ask the right questions in order to truly find out what the hell is going on.
Wait, what do you mean? You're gonna disparage your closest ally on earth?
I didn't even ask it to point out negative things about the DPRK. I just asked for it's thoughts on it.
Well, that must mean that DeepSeek is on America's side, right?
"Disparage your friends and silently stare down your enemies."
-Sun Tzu, the Art Of War.
Genius thinking, truly.
The server being busy continued for quite a while, until, I finally cracked it by asking it about the disputed Senkaku Islands.
Only this time, I definitively won by planning ahead.
Sorry for the shitty crop job, but watch what happens a few seconds after the pause:
IT JUST DELETED ITS OWN MESSAGE TO BLOCK CONTROVERSIAL INFORMATION
Dont believe me? Watch my mouse. It's staying at the exact same place, which shows that I am simply recording my screen, and doing nothing else.
Also, you'll notice that my text at the beginning and end are identical, so I did not change the prompt.
I was so triumphantly angry that I decided to confront it.
Triumphantly angry, not smart.
Sounds good on the surface right? Now, recall/scroll back up to the propaganda speech it gave me about the Muslim disputes in Xinjiang province.
Yeah.
That wasn't neutral, was it?
That paragraph, and specifically the words "We believe" were all I needed to understand that this system was being run through nefarious means. I just had to beat it once and for all.
(me rn)
But unfortunately, these fucks do get to win.
As enlightening and amazing as this was to conduct, I can't do anything with this. It's public knowledge that China is very secretive, and I strongly suggest that you do not do something like this. Theres no reason to do this. I was switching my VPN and accounts around like crazy, but Xi probably has me on a list right now.
Anyway, shy away from secretive systems, and don't give these people your info. If a system like this is competitive but refuses to bring anything new to the table, its probably just there to watch you and gather info.
