there will come a day when i remember that i'm supposed to put the sugar in the marmalade after cooking the oranges down
but it is not this day
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(marmalade was successful regardless; it just means slower cooking + more stirring to make sure the sugar doesn't burn on the bottom) (lol i have made this error before)

20 Aug - Black Tea F1
Tumblr media
4 Sept - Flavoured
Passionfruit Orange Saffron
Lychee Grapefruit Mint
Pineapple Lime Rosemary
Tumblr media
6 Sept - Bottled
Tumblr media
Passionfruit Saffron - very nice, definitely my favourite fruit to go with saffron. (I'm still using too much saffron - I think my mistake was buying it in bulk! So many strands all bundled up together, it's easy to get a bit too liberal with it).
Lychee Grapefruit Mint - so gooooooood! The first time I tried this combo it tasted like mouthwash 😬 The mint must've been an unusually potent that first time, because I used roughly the same amount for this batch - and it was perfect. Strong lychee flavour, nicely citrusy bite from the grapefruit, subtle minty freshness - absolutely delicious.
Pineapple Rosemary - a little dissapointing. Pineapple went so well with lavender, I thought I'd try it with something else from the same family - but unfortunately the rosemary taste didn't come through. It was still nice, pineapple is always good - but I definitely wanna try again, see if get the rosemary to show up to the party too.

Home-made Spa - Osamu x Reader
for @emmyrosee as a treat.
Tumblr media
When's the last time Osamu has been able to say no to you? He honestly can't remember.
Just yesterday you asked for the last piece of his Pizza - after you claimed you weren't hungry - and he couldn't say no then either. It's just the way you smile up at him, all innocence and eagerness, Puppy Dog Eyes and fluttering lashes.
So it's no surprise he can already feel his resolve weaken.
"Please?" You ask, waving a bottle of something around. "My stuff came and I watched loads of tutorials and now I feel like a certified cosmetician!"
Osamu sighs. He thinks of the meat and the veggies and the Tuna that's in the fridge, waiting for him to prepare Dinner. There's that movie he was going to watch with you, just scary enough that you'd climb into his lap and stay there the whole hour, but not scary enough that you'd hit him in your sleep.
"It's totally okay if you don't want to-" You start and that's always the part where you get him. Because it's not okay to leave you hanging.
"No, no, we can totally do it." He drops his bag and slips out of his shoes, scratching the back of his head as he walks over. "Do I need to shower first?"
-
His stomach's growling but he can't complain, resting with his head in your lap and a warm towel slung over his chest. He could probably fall asleep instantly, if not for his growing hunger.
"Okay, so at first we have to do a grounding touch-" You start and he can't help but flinch when you press your hands against his neck, your fingertips ice cold as usual.
"Sorry, Samu!"
But it gets better after that, even though playing with oil and other liquids on the Couch feels a little weird.
Your touch is soft, your hands getting warmer by the second.
"Now I'm supposed to let you know that this product has a specific smell that's supposed to activate all your senses." You giggle as you hold your hands in front of his nose.
Osamu sniffs and his stomach growls in tune. "Is that lemon? Rosemary? Oh, and Grapefruit."
"How did you figure that out with one sniff? You're scary smart!"
He chuckles at that. "Those three are pretty easy to identify. What does the stuff itself do?"
"Uh," you hesitate. "I kinda forgot. But it says..." He opens his eyes when you fall quiet only to watch you upside-down, trying to read the fine print on a bottle. "Phyto-Boost Activator. Activates your skin."
"That sounds like I'm becoming a Transformer."
"Maybe you are. Osamu Prime, here to save humanity from bad skin."
He laughs. "Tsumu can be the evil Megatron with his pimply back."
"Totally."
-
"Aaand we're done." Your hands leave his hair and it takes him a minute to come back to his senses. That head massage has made him see stars.
"Already?" He asks, a little groggy from dozing off midway. "How do I look?"
"Positively glistening."
"Glistening? That sounds weird."
"No, no, you look great. Just uh... shiny." You push your lower lip forward as you take him in and he already feels guilty. Surely he did something wrong.
"It was great though, Babe. It felt amazing?"
"Really?" You beam. "Can we do it the other way around next?"
"Sure-" His stomach interrupts, loud enough that you're able to hear it this time. "But maybe after dinner?"

Explain the basic: Oils
Check out Part 1, which explains how to use the things down below. Disclaimer: All the things in this post are based on research and personal experience. As much as I could be a teacher, I suggest you find many resources for knowledge to develop your own experiences. Make sure you research the oils you buy/use because some oils can damage or hurt your skin in a really bad way. as well as some aromatherapy oils that can hurt your pet (if you have one).

Dressing oils — Specially prepared oil applied to spell and ritual objects before using them to sanctify, charge, and prepare them for use.
Essential oils — Volatile, concentrated oils, with the characteristic scent of the plant/flower they are from.

16 Sept - White Tea F1
Fizzzzzy 🍾
Tumblr media
27 Sept - Flavoured
Lychee Lemon Cayenne
Mango Grapefruit Lavender
Pineapple Lime Rosemary
29 Sept - Bottled
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lychee Lemon Cayenne - verrrry nice, verrrry spicy! The chili tends to settle at the bottom, so that last sip really packs a punch!
Mango Grapefruit Lavender - I'm always a little worried that anything with lavender will end up tasting like my grandma's soap. It never does, but this one came close. There was just a brief moment, when I first tasted it, where I thought "whoops, I'm accidentally drinking handwash!" Which doesn't sound like much of a recommendation - but it really did grow on me.
Pineapple Lime Rosemary - soooooo good! Second attempt at this combo. This time I used a mortar and pestle to crush up the rosemary (instead of chopping it up) and holy moly! got a massive rosemary flavour! Super yummy with pineapple 😋
