Minor throwaway sentence in a book on corruption I've just finished was talking about 1930s gangsters and about certain organisations in Chicago which the author stated were more ethnically diverse than the Italian mafia, and whose members were said to have included 'Irish, Welsh, Italian, and Jewish' gangsters.

Now call me sheltered but I've seen MANY Italian American gangsters immortalised in film, I've heard of the Jewish mob, and the police Irish American gangs but I have yet to see a movie about the Welsh mob. As a rule I don't go in for gangster movies but I feel there's an unfilled niche here and also I need more info.

I love when there's a Big Bad that feels all powerful and undefeatable but then we start to get to know the Big Bad and suddenly an even Bigger Badder entity enters the story and we realise that the first big bad was actually not that powerful and can barely hold their own against the bigger bad but that doesn't matter because it just serves to show how terrifying the new threat is

I'm very sorry to all blorbos who didn't manage to get into the bracket, some of the propaganda you guys submitted was such a fun read!

Ok I know a lot of people don’t like Bronev or make him out to be abusive  as a result but I think its so much more interesting if he isnt?

It was said on multiple occasion that he was a good person that got consumed by his obsession with the Azrans

He’s just an asshole who selfishly made all the wrong decisions justifying himself by having to make sacrifices that ultimately hurt the sacrificed people, among which is his family, significantly more than himself.

And that creates so many interesting conflicted and contradicting relationships with various characters!! Bronev is an interesting villain!!

christmas stresses me out so much every year, like i just don’t know what to get people! and i always wanna make it super personal and handmade and whatever but uhhhh of course i never come up with the super personal handmade ideas early enough so it’s always a timecrunch and just. aaaaaa

this year i wanna make my parents a like.... warmth pillow/plushie each? idk what they’re called in english, but essentially it’s a pillow filled with cherrypits (or some other seeds or grain or whatever) that you put in the microwave to heat it up and it retains the heat well so great for sore muscles or period cramps or just. winter. anyway i bought a bunch of cherry pits so i’m gonna do that for my parents but what do i get my brothers? my grandma? no idea! every year i just! have no idea!

and yeah i could ask but then i’ll also have to tell them what i want and lmao, i do not know, iabsolutely have zero clue

I don’t know who needs to hear this right now but it’s okay to struggle. You don’t have to have your “life under control” right now. No matter your age and if it seems like everyone else is doing oh so well (believe me, there’s others who struggle as well!), it’s okay to still figure things out and feel like a complete mess. You still have time to grow as a person and find out what works for you and how you want to live your life. Be forgiving with yourself, I know it’s hard but you deserve rest and compassion from yourself!
