THINKING ABOUT DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS‼️

I’m aimlessly planning out random things for my version of Saint Greer and I got to thinking about the storyline behind the town that I have going in my personal gameplay. Beneath the veneer of lovely small town charm lies a war that has been brewing for millennia. So if I were to actually offer the world for download (like I eventually plan on) there are different factions you can choose your sims to be in so you can make up your own stories:

Vampires - Whose goal is to subjugate the town to use as their own personal feeding zone. Over the centuries, vampires can gain power and hone in on their abilities so some vampires are much more formidable than others.

Werewolves - Hunted down to near extinction by the vampires. All vampires have an instinctual hatred for these beasts, as they are the only beings who are the physical equal of the vampires. As a result, werewolves are known to be loners in the hopes of not attracting the attention of others.

Witches/Wizards - Vampires and wizards have been at war with each other for millennia. Those who have magic flowing in their veins have the ability to instantly kill vampires with the sunlight spell. Due to that fact, the leaders in the vampire community only consider wizards to be their true equals.

Faeries - Commonly considered as the weakest of the supernaturals, there is one horrible feature of Fae that has often been used against them: their blood can be used to improve or strengthen the power of vampires. Because of this, faeries are often hunted down, kidnapped and used as a source of power for vampires. So you can expect that they tend to keep to the forests and shy away from strangers.

Djinn - Unbeknownst to all of the other factions of supernaturals, the Djinn are in fact the most powerful due to such powers as controlling the will of others and altering reality. Buuut they have one fatal flaw - they are often too lazy to bother interacting with other supernaturals and derive most of their pleasure in trolling and annoying anybody they come across. So if you ever see a sim acting strangely….they may in fact be a Djinn in disguise.

and last but not least…

Humans - The biggest population of the town.

Sometimes I look back at the early designs for characters I make, and I just remembered like. How did Seth end up like this.

Like when I first designed him, I wanted to make “Six. But human.” And made him look at least similar to my design for Six at the time. But now he. Shares VERY little resemblance to Six at all like.

How did this happen.

coming to the realization that my issue with jason and artemis as a ship is less that they lack chemistry and more that i'm sick and tired of every female character introduced having to end up with the main male character

was reading moon knight 2021 and really appreciated the friendship and solidarity between marc and tigra so of course they end up together towards the end

its boring and lame. we need more m/f platonic friendships that STAY platonic like christ. i thought we were past the era of a man and a woman being incapable of just being friends

Fandom needs to grow up and stop making a drama out of nothing. It's been a long time since the first Caelum incident, followed by the shit about the Imperium Ivan Bonus Audio, and now people are making a drama out of Darlin fanfic (without reading it, by the way, which should be done).

When you read it, did you even see how everything was described there, how the whole situation was presented? Sweetheart almost lost her badge because they were helping your beloved Darlin, of course, they'd be angry with the wolf, and of course, Milo, as their Mate, would be mad at them as well.

By the way, Columba as a Demon is just incredible and can challenge Vega. Literally on my knees in front of her. I love her.

Anyway you want to interpret that! Milo alone, with Sweetheart, or his pack. Milo in wolf or human form. Milo as he's depicted in your favorite audio or fanfic or headcanon. hi romi!!!! thank you so much for the prompt :-) milo is my favorite of the wolf bois and im more than happy to do some milo art!! i fiddled with a lot of different ideas and eventually ended up at the most gut-wrenching of milo's videos (that is, of course, Helping Your Werewolf Boyfriend Shift Again).

So. SO. I tried so many poses, did so many sketches, and then I ended up... here.

First of all... Wolves don't actually like, cry? Not tears anyway, the way people do, but if you look you can see I did do that brimming-with-tears thing here for Milo. Suspend your disbelief, I'm using my artistic license.

Also, these proportions are... maybe not the best? Wolves are Big™ and I know that! Even so, I don't draw animals very often, and there are not many good people-hugging-wolves references out there (for good reason! don't try to hug a real wolf! do not attempt!). Either way, here we are, and I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out!

My Sweetheart here doesn't have any notably gendered features (unless you count hair length, which I don't...), but I will disclose that my Sweetheart OC uses they/xem pronouns, if anyone cares about that.

Now let's get to the real juicy stuff: cores...

So originally this didn't have any cool effects. And then I decided I wanted it to. So then I made it. I really don't think auras/cores have colors like this (as far as we know they're mostly sound-based as far as sensation goes), but obviously, this is an artistic rendition, so I've translated that into colors and patterns.

I did draw these two up while planning the next part out, so here's those:

Sweetheart's core has a cloudy, nebulous look to it, and very smooth threads. Some are thicker than others! It's a gray-black-silver sort of shade. It is mostly centered around Sweetheart's chest, as per Huxley's stick-figure explanation.

Milo's core is.... sharp pieces and curves mixed together (idk, the brush is called "rad" and it's from procreate's og brush set called "vintage", and the shapes have a mix of curves and sharp edges, so...). The threads are stretched/worn thin in some places. The glow is strongest around his chest but spreads a lot more since shifter magic is... y'know, all spread out and tied to their physicality.

It's not actually super connected either, but I also made the orange parts of the backglow stronger, and the gray parts lighter, since Stealth's auras are said to be fainter than others.

Man i just found your blog and whatever au you got going on looks so interesting i just have no idea what's going on. Do you have like a post or something explaining exactly what it is :')

I had one, but I can’t find it so I’ll just start a sorta. Starter pack/master post for all of my main Mandela Catalogue aus, and will be updating this post with any new ones I make.

This is gonna be long, so. Bear with me.

The Alternate AU

The alt au is, in its simplest terms, a swap au, basically swapping the alternate characters and the human characters. (Making the humans alternates and vice versa.)

The main plot is thus: Mark Heathcliff after the events of TMC Vol 1, comes back from the dead, furious at Cesar for leaving him to die and “causing” his death. Cesar has an encounter with Alt Mark, fleeing Mandela and living in Bythorne, joining the BPS eight years after that incident, meeting Sarah Heathcliff, and Seth Greer. (the leader of the bps and this aus version of six. Though he. May as well be an oc knowing how different they are.)

There are of course other storylines that happen in this au, involving Adam, Jonah, Thatcher, and Ruth. Here are some screenshots of basic character info:

The Mandela Prophet AU

This au, which is smaller in scale to the one above, is centered on Adam Murray, and takes place directly after the events of vol 2.

After being left behind by Jonah, Adam is approached by alternate Gabriel, and is given an offer that he’ll get all the knowledge he wants, as long as he follows Gabriel. Adam in his desperate want for the truth, accepts Gabriel’s offer, but is betrayed when they instead inflict him with a supernatural alternate parasite, that takes over his body and gives victims M. A. D.

LabRats AU

The basic premise of this au is thus:

The characters of TMC are put through experiments in a scientific facility (Mandela BioTech), which is owned by Gabriel, a scientist obsessed with "perfection" and Dave Lee, a man that's reluctant, but willingly ignorant to the horrid acts happening under his watch. The main characters are mutated, given sometimes supernatural abilities. More info is in the #tmc Labrats au tag, so I recommend you start there, as this explanation is. pretty short.

Home Sweet Home au

In this au, it takes the whole. "Cesar's house is an alternate" theory and runs with it. Mark feels. oddly attached to the House, subconsciously always wanting to stay there and. make himself comfortable. While Cesar remains unaware that his Home is alive, and that he's been living in the belly of the beast for his entire life.

Ok so I know it’s a long time away but, I was thinking about the fact that the winter solstice will come again this year and that (hopefully) means there will be another pack solstice party. I just like the idea that maybe all the members of the pack will get to finally relax and have fun together in the near future.

Might be too charitable to him but how likely is it that Bendis would have brought back Lindsay McCabe if his Spider-Woman run wasn't canceled? He ignored her existence (having Jess erroneously assert that Carol was her best friend before being abudcted by the Skrulls) but he still referenced Jess' time in Madripoor a lot (even in her Alias appearance) so couldn't it be that he intended for an Eternal-Sunshine-esque plot due to Skrull fuckery but his run being canceled prevented that?

I am SO curious what his Spider-Woman solo would've looked like if it had been able to run longer!!

for as much crap as I'll give Bendis for some of his more ridiculed writing tendencies, I really liked his Jessica Drew writing for the most part. yeah he stuck with the new development of making Carol her best friend, but he also remembered her friendship with Logan, her relationship with Fury, her (weird pseudo-parental) antagonism with Viper, and her HYDRA/SHIELD past (even if I didn't particularly care for some of the retcons). from his writing, it seemed evident to me he had a healthy love/respect for her history and interest in delving deeper into it (rather than just using her as a fairly blank slate with no history for whatever story he wanted to tell, as many writers I think are guilty of from time to time). I absolutely wouldn't have been surprised, given all that and the fact he specifically chose to return her to Madripoor, if a reunion with Lindsay would've occurred down the line.

man, when I think of the abrupt end to Agent of S.W.O.R.D., I get so sad. he had wanted that thing for YEARS and then, when he finally got it, him and Maleev struggled like crazy to get the one single arc out before it got unceremoniously cancelled. I always thought that left him pretty burnt and kinda killed his love for writing her (which honestly I can't blame him for--that would've sucked).
