Note
Oooh how about Yandere Miguel who locks his s/o away in an apartment like place (it's actually really nice) that's hidden somewhere in the spider society headquarters that only he knows about because he's extremely possessive and he's afraid of them getting hurt. Since they are just a regular human being, there's not much they can do about it. When he checks on them he's all loving and sweet but he's still very controlling. Maybe Miles or Gwen accidentally finds them and attempts to rescue them and Miguel gets PISSED.
Don’t Think You Can Escape

“This way!” Gwen shouted, dodging the incoming webbing from the other Spider members.
Miles followed her closely, following her and taking turns that she thought she was familiar with but it led them to a dead end. His head snapped in the direction of their shouts.
Gwen’s gizmo was tossed a while ago, realizing that there may be a chance of a tracker, she didn’t want to take any chances.
“What now?” MIles heavily panted, their voices getting louder by the second.
She takes a second to think, she places her hand on the wall as support but it lights up. She could hear rumbling on the other side, like something turning. She pounded her fist against the metal wall and it was clear that it was hollow.
“Miles, help me open this.” She said.
“Are you sure?”
“We don’t have any other option.”
“Alright then.”
Miles stood on one side and Gwen on the other, they both used their webbing to force the hidden, metal doors open. Both of them loudly grunt as the doors slowly opened.
“One three.” Miles nodded, “One… Two… THREE!”
The two simultaneously jump in at the same time, practically tackling each other. The doors slammed shut with a loud bang and soon, they could hear other voices up against the door. It made his heart drop, yet he relaxed when the voices dispersed.
Gwen stood up first, taking off her hood and mask to take a good look around, “What is this place?” Miles asked her.
She hesitated in shrugging, “I’m… I’m not sure. I don’t think I saw this place on the map.”
“Didn’t think the gizmo had a map.” He stood as well, “Could it be another sector?”
This time, she shrugged, “It clearly wasn’t labeled, otherwise we’d be caught by now.”
“Okay then, what now?”
Gwen looked forward and into the dark but barely lit tunnel, “We keep moving forward.” She walked into it.
“I’ll follow your lead.” Knowing that Gwen knew the headquarters better than him.
The two walk through the long, narrow hallway. It made Gwen shiver and keep her guard up. But she kept her sights forward, following a light that seemed to be peeking out from under the door.
Their footsteps rang and Miles swears he could hear his heart racing. As much as he enjoyed a break from being chased, he began to worry. What happens now? How will he get out? What about Gwen?
All kinds of questions raced through his head… Was either of them going to get out of here?
“Miles!” Gwen looked back at him, worried, “I know that you’re panicking but I need you to focus, everything will be alright.”
“Will it?” Miles huffed, arms crossed, “You saw how freaked Miguel was. There’s no way out of this, I’m sorry I dragged you into this.”
“Hey, we’re in this together. Okay?”
Miles takes a deep breath, “Okay.”
“Besides, we can think of something when we’re inside.”
Miles stopped in his tracks, “Insid-?” A door. Windows, a few feet from the door, pitch black and barred.
“I think this might be the place Peter was talking about.” Gwen smiled, walking up to the door.
“He knew about this?”
“It’s more like suspected. He saw Miguel disappear a couple of times and believed he had a secret place to get away, this must be it.” Slowly she twisted the doorknob.
Miles reached out and grabbed her wrist, “Then are you sure we should be sneaking into a place where Miguel visits.”
“I said suspected. It’s a chance this may now be it and besides, he’s too busy running around the base looking for us.” She ignored Miles’ protest and opened the door, it was unlocked, “Now that’s suspicious.” She mumbled.
The two enter the room. Both of them were awed.
It was like a normal home, furnished well, like any other home. The home smelled freshly cleaned, but plates and cups were set on the table, like someone was expecting guests. While Gwen looked around the rooms, Miles’ attention was to the photos.
It was Miguel, along with a woman. He followed the array of photos. At first, the woman seemed to be happy but as the photos went on and on, he could see it in her eyes… Fear, fear and more fear.
“I always knew Miguel was crazy but-”
“No.” Gwen immediately retorted.
“Didn’t you see the photos, he’s obviously obsessed with this woman.”
“It can’t be him.”
Miles sighed, “Gwen it’s him. This is probably the home to bring her to the base.”
“That’s the thing, she’s already here.” Gwen pointed to a room, “I saw her when looking around, sleeping soundly, too soundly.” It remained silent between the two.
His head snapped to the direction of the door opening, “Hide!” She harshly whispered, pushing Miles into what seemed to be a guest room, and shoving him into the closet.
Miguel entered the home with a heavy huff, slipping off his mask and his hair puffed up a little. He runs his hand through his hair a couple of times before calling out, “(Y/n)! I’m home!” But all he is met with is silence.
But that’s when he hears the slow footsteps, “Miguel?” You groggily spoke, “You’re home early.”
“Actually, I’m home on time. Did you sleep?” You tiredly nod, “Did you just wake up?” You nod again, “Awe, my poor baby.” He cooed, welcoming you in his arms.
But you’re too tired to push him away, the house was freezing and you needed something warm. You felt one hand come to your neck and his claws lightly dragged over where used to be your-
“Where’s your necklace?” He demanded the second he felt the open skin, “Where is it?” He growled.
“I-I took it off.” You managed to say, scared that he may dig his claws into you.
“Why?” His voice was like a growl, dark and deep.
“Because it was hurting my neck, it left a bruise.” You cowered. Your necklace was more like a choker. It was mainly black but it had red and blue stripes, along with gold ornaments.
It wasn’t because of the pain you took it off, it was because his last name was engraved on it. It made you feel worthless, like someone’s property. Before you took it off, you began pulling off the small gold pieces and then when he wasn’t home, you tore it into pieces. Hopefully telling Miguel that you didn’t need it or that there was no need.
“You should’ve told me sooner.” His voice returned to normal as he released you from his arms.
“But I did.” You mumbled.
“Where is it?”
“One the dresser.” You watch him enter the bedroom and come back a few moments later, the choker in hand.
“Must’ve been hurting you a lot.” Miguel can see little droplets of blood left behind, “Don’t worry about it.”
You let out a sigh of relief.
“I’ll get a new one.” Your heart dropped, “I was thinking about it for a while.”
“Do you think I could go with you?” Your hurriedly asked, “If I can chose a-”
“No.” He sighed, “I said it before and I’ll say it again. You stay here, why can’t you understand that?”
“I’ll stay with you-”
“No!” He shouted, “I’ve given you everything! A home, food, clean clothes! Aren’t you grateful for everything I did for you?!”
Your eyes begin to water, “O-Of course I am!”
“Then why don’t you just listen to why I say no?!”
You jump, “Miguel…” You whimper, “You’re scaring me.”
His blood red eyes soon turned to his beautiful brown ones, they softened, “Perdóname, amor.” (Forgive me, love.) One hand comes to cup your face, “It’s just… It’s dangerous out there, you saw it yourself. Remember?”
“I do…”
“I wouldn’t want to hurt you.”
“...Why would you hurt me?” You begin to panic, “I-I thought you said-!”
“That I wouldn’t hurt you. I mean it, but when it comes to breaking the rules I set, I must do what needs to be done. I’ll just have to cut off your beautiful legs. Breaking them wouldn’t be enough.” He kissed your forehead, “I’ll be back in a couple of hours. I love you.”
His grip on your face tightens when he doesn’t hear the words, “I-I love you too, Miguel.”
It made him smile widely, “Be patient for me, amor. I’ve got a surprise for you.”
And with that, he’s out of the door. Hearing the doors lock, you’re left alone in the empty and freezing house.
You cry on the spot, finally breaking in fear. Your body felt uncomfortably hot, your breathing became staggered and it felt like you were gonna vomit. Your arms wrapped around your body tightly that your nails dug into your sides. Your chest grew right as you fell to the tile floor. Shaking and hyperventilating, your stomach churned as you remembered his words.
“I’ll just have to cut off your beautiful legs… Breaking them wouldn’t be enough.”
Who knows how long you remained on the ground, all you could do was shake. Your chest stung and your heart raced, you were in pain all over again.
“Um, (Y/n)? Was it?” You let out an audible gasp as you saw the two teens in the room.
You pushed yourself off the ground and hurried away from them, “Wait!” Gwen put her hands up, “We’re just here to help. I’m Gwen and this is Miles.”
“Who are you- How did you get in here?!” You choke on your words, wiping the tears from your red eyes.
“We’re just running from the same man.”
You quickly shake your head, “You guys can’t be here!”
“We would’ve left sooner but… We can’t just leave you here.” Miles kneeled in front of you, “Let us help you.”
“Y-You can’t!”
“Yes we can.” Gwen agreed, “We just gotta pack up and get on out of here. I can get that started. Miles, watch her in case Miguel comes back.”
“How did get like this?” Miles asked, “I saw the photos.”
“...I met him after he lost his daughter and I didn’t think it was right for him to try to get into dating so soon but people grieve in different ways. We were supposed to take things slow but… But he talked about marriage and it made me scared. I tried taking a break but he found me. From then on, it went downhill.”
“I always knew he was crazy.” Miles mumbled.
“He’s great at manipulating people, he owns a business.” You responded. Then you heard a thud outside, “Miles, hide.” You push him away, not knowing where he went.
The door opened and in comes Miguel who doesn’t look pleased, “I heard them.” He starts, “No, I heard him.” He stepped closer, the choker nowhere to be seen, “Where is he?”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You clear your throat.
“¡No me mientas!” (Do not lie to me!)
“I’m not lying!” You moved back when he reached out to you, “Please, believe me Miguel!”
“Last time I did, you ran out on me! I have every nerve to not believe you.” He pushed you up against the wall, “Where is he?!”
“Leave her alone!” Miles comes around and lands a clean kick, knocking Miguel off of you, “Are you alright?”
“Miles…”
Miles puts on his mask, “Gwen will be right behind you-!” He dodged Miguel’s webbing, “Just run!” Then he charged at Miguel, taking him head on, “Go!”
You got up and rushed out the door, “(Y/n)!” You heard Miguel, “Get back here!”
You run faster. Your bare feet are padding quickly across the cold, metal floor. Then faster and faster until you nearly run into the wall. Whatever hopes you had are nearly gone when you realize that it’s just a dead end.
“(Y/n)!” You heard Gwen, she lands next to you, “I need you to listen to every word. I’m going to open the door and let you out, but it’s impossible for me to go with you. But! There are others out there, they are willing to help you. Just run and I promise you that someone will come for you.”
“What about Miles?” She hands you to the bag she quickly packed.
“I’m heading there once I know you’re out of there.” Using her webbing, she does the same as before, forcing one side of the door open. She grunts loudly, “Go!”
You jump, tumbling on your feet as you hear the door shut. The sound rang through the base and all that was left was silence. Even on the other side of the door. Nothing could be heard.
You stand, looking around. There was not a single person in sight. But you continued walking, walking, and walking… You continued to replay Gwen’s words in your head, not wanting to give up hope. But slowly it died as you continued wandering aimlessly around the base.
“Lonely isn’t it?” You gasp, freezing in place. You didn’t have to turn around to know who it belonged to, “Just like how it’s going to be when you leave. All alone and there is no one to turn to.”
You scoff, keeping your back to him, “I’d rather be alone for the rest of my life than spend one more minute with you.”
“You don’t mean that.”
“Yes I do!”
“Come with me and I’ll forget this ever happened, we’ll have a fresh start. Or you can continue with these foolish games. You know that you’re better with me than without me.” Miguel sticks his hand out for you to take.
For every step you take back, he takes on towards you, “How will I know things would be different?”
“You gotta trust me to know.”
You breath hitched when you felt your back hit the wall. Miguel towered over you with ease, and you hated the look in his eyes. Sorry… You hated how soft and apologetic his eyes looked. It also terrified you.
“Where’s Miles and Gwen?” You ask him now that he’s in front of you, “Where are they?”
“You have the nerve to ask me that right now?”
“I do!” You retorted, “Now where are they?” You demanded.
Miguel sighs, “They are in a place where they won’t bother us nor say anything.”
“You didn’t!”
“It had to be done!”
“You bastard! They were kids!” You dropped the bag and pushed him as hard as you could which had no effect on him, “They’ve done nothing wrong!”
“You weren’t there!”
“So?! That doesn’t give you the right to kill innocent children-!”
Miguel’s hands came around your neck in an instant, you felt the heavy pressure. Panic sets in, trying to breathe, doing anything you could do to get his hands off and breathe. Your eyes rolled back as your vision darkened. Your attempts to kick or push Miguel off fail.
Then he throws you at another wall, the pressure knocks whatever air was left and he watches you have a coughing fit. You’re too weak to even crawl away from him when he kneels down, “Why must you be so difficult? Why don’t you understand? After all these years, you still don’t understand that I am the only person who will ever love you.”

Bereavement
noun
/bɪˈriːv.mənt/ The state one is in when losing someone important to them
Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse
42! Miles X F!Reader, 1610! Miles X F!Reader
Synopsis: Miles is missing, and all you can think about is getting him back. Upon finally finding him, however, you're taken aback by the copy that stands beside him—the same copy that was staring at you with wide, shaking eyes full of... disbelief?
Note: this one's for my cousin. The idea actually came to me while I was rewatching the first spiderverse lmao. Who knew Kingpin was such a source of ideas?
part two.
Tumblr media
You saw it—on the control panel—42. Miles had been transported to Earth 42.
You belonged to 1610; which meant that Miles also belonged to 1610.
He was in the wrong universe.
Your best friend was stranded in the wrong universe.
Now, if you were a rational person, you would've called for back-up—maybe even gotten Hobie's help like Gwen had. But you weren't a rational person—and could anyone blame you?—your best friend was probably in danger, of course you would act without thinking.
The watch wasn't hard to swipe, everyone was too caught up in what had just happened with Miles to care for guarding their little 'goober' dimension devices. Tracking him down wasn't terribly difficult either, not after you knew which world he went to.
All you really needed to think about was where exactly you had to open the portal—but luckily for you, Margo was willing to help.
"You owe me for this, by the way." Her head tilted your way, lids narrowed in a sassy look you dismissed with a wave of your hand.
"Yeah, okay, what're his coordinates?"
With a roll of her eyes—that you very much thought was quite rude—she gave you just what you needed; his exact coordinates.
The assortment of colours and geometric shapes appeared before you with a few taps of your finger against the cold device, flitting across the room in a bright blur of pure chaos that hurt your eyes to look at—
—but you would endure it; if only for Miles' sake.
"This is stupid, by the way—" you turned, facing the girl who insisted on making a snide comment every five seconds, "—you're not even a spiderperson."
"Says the girl who's speaking to me through a VR headset and isn't actually here right now," you growled.
"Careful, I can shut this whole thing down right now and tell Miguel what you're planning," she returned your apprehension with crossed arms, brows furrowing even further.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," you sighed, "it's just— I'm worried about him. Please don't tell Miguel. Miles has saved me so many times, it's time I save him for once."
You assumed you must've looked rather pitiful for her features to have softened up, arms falling limp by her side as she, too, gave a sigh; though hers sounded like it stemmed from a different type of exasperation to yours.
"Just... go. Before I change my mind—preferably."
You gave her the brightest smile you could muster, hoping to god she could see all the appreciation in it—and there was a lot—before turning back around to take a step into the portal.
"Miles! I'm here to—"
As soon as you walked through, you were met with a dark room—though, that wasn't what caught your attention. Instead, your wide eyes landed on that familiar hanging bag, beat down and bits of its material flaked off.
Chained up to it, was your very own, Miles Morales. And stood directly opposite to him was... also Miles Morales?
Alright, you were aware of this whole 'spiderverse' thing but you didn't think it would be this trippy.
"...save you?"
They were both staring directly at you, however, the expressions situated on their faces were vastly different.
Miles—your Miles—had his eyes blown wide, shaky pupils not leaving your form for a second, even as he started frantically shaking his head from left to right, he still remained in eye-contact with you.
The other Miles also had his eyes blown wide. This time, however, it wasn't in warning—no—his pupils were dilated and his form stood rigid; still as a statue.
"Cariño..." he whispered; so much breath in his voice, it barely sounded like words were coming out.
"Y/N! You have to get out of here!" Your Miles yelled, pulling at his chains as though it would get him any closer to you.
You scoffed. "And leave you? I don't think so."
"Don't worry about me! You have to—"
"Cariño."
You blinked, casting your gaze back over to the other Miles—who now stood much closer to you than before. He was just an arm's length away, in fact, how did you not notice him approach you?
"Mi vida, oh Y/N..." his voice was soft as he spoke—quiet and coated in an emotion you were unfamiliar with—hand moving up to your cheek to gently trace a cold, steel claw over it.
"Hey!" The sound of metal chains clicking grew more frantic from behind him. "Stay away from her! Don't you dare hurt her!"
Either the Miles in front of you was ignoring your friend on purpose, or he genuinely didn't hear him, because he continued to do as he was doing—continued to give you shivers from the icy material against your cheek.
Then, all too suddenly, he flew into your torso, engulfing you in a hug so tight—so inextricably emotional—you stumbled back a little from the sheer intensity of it all.
"You're alive..." he breathed out—and it was then that you finally understood what the tone of his voice was. "You're really, truly alive. Oh mi cariño, I've missed you so much."
"Wha—?"
"Lo siento... lo siento." He buried his face into the crook of your neck and the surface of your skin slowly grew wet, your collar soaking up. "I didn't get there in time, I couldn't save you."
You and your Miles shared a glance.
You saw your reflection in his eyes; the look of shock on his face; the scenes that flashed through his pupils. You saw a fear in him, one unlike anything you had ever seen before.
You saw your near-death experience replay right before him.
"Te quiero—" the other Miles—the one holding you—grounded you once more with his words as he pulled away just enough to look you in the eyes and continue, "—you know that, right? I'm so sorry for not saying it before. If you hadn't— if you never— I'm so sorry."
The phrase shocked you, sending an electric pulse down your spine and rendering you utterly immobile.
"I always have. For the longest time. It's always been you. It's always—only—ever been you."
If what he was saying was true... then—?
"Y/N!"
Suddenly, the metal against your hips was replaced by the familiar silky material you were used to; the one worn by your Miles.
"Miles," you breathed out, looking all around you to see the shattered glass that flew in the wind—scattering in all different directions as the warmth of the inside abandoned you.
"I'm gonna need you to hold on, okay?"
You nodded.
Then, you glanced behind him, catching sight of the familiar geometric mask of the Prowler—sharp claws out—coming in hot and fast and furious.
"Miles—!"
"I know, mami, I know. I need you to trust me for a minute, alright? You know I'll never let you get hurt."
You nodded once more, nails digging into his dark suit as you buried your face directly into his chest. You felt yourself flow through the air, swiftly moving as the wind worked against you, pushing back on your hair as though you were its worst enemy.
It was nice. It was fun. It was... bound to go wrong.
One moment, you were safe, all coddled up in Miles' arms as he swung through the sky—the next?—
—you were falling.
"Y/N!"
(Note: I feel like I need to address this because some people seem to be misunderstanding what I'm doing with Margo.
First of all, Margo is not AT ALL being mean in Bereavement. The whole of that fic is written in the Reader's perspective (and I'll prolly end up writing something in both Miles' perspective too) - this makes her an unreliable narrator so you can't trust the way the story is being told to you is 100% accurate to the true events.
At the start, the Reader is frustrated because she knows her best friend is stranded on another universe - this makes her unfairly take out her frustration on Margo when she thinks lines like 'who always seemed to have to say something every five seconds' (paraphrased).
Margo thus responds accordingly (as she should) and although she threatens to tell Miguel, she never actually would because she is legit one of the only real ones in the movie. So no, to those commenters that were accusing me of making her 'aggressive' cuz she was black - that is not what I'm doing at all. I am writing the Reader's perspective after just having lost her best friend.
Margo is the only one helping. She is literally being kind to the Reader. If anything, the Reader is the one being rude to her but again, that's because her best friend is missing which isn't an excuse but definitely an explanation.)

Do you know why Spider-Verse Miles is my favorite Spider-Man?
Tumblr media
He, without having a choice, had to do in two days, what took all the other Spider-Sonas in the multiverse weeks, become Spider-Man, all under the unimaginable pressure of being the successor to the previous Spider-Man of his universe, which left the bar too high, having to meet everyone else's expectations, and having to go through a tortuous journey while learning from his mentor.
Tumblr media
Even when the spider-gang not only didn't trust him but even seemed to dislike Miles at first (Except, of course, Gwen and Peter B, who are very special cases)
Tumblr media
And pressing him to see if he was ready and treating him like just a kid (Even Peni).
All so that he then went to his uncle, who was like a second father to him and someone who truly understood Miles, only to find out that he had always been a hitman, going so far as to almost end with the life of his nephew, until he realizes what he was about to do and... well, tragedy happens.
Tumblr media
The death of Uncle Aaron, due to the depth and history behind it, remains the most tragic "death of Uncle Ben" in all of cinema... ever.
Tumblr media
Miles stopped being the same since then, and even when a hurricane of emotions possessed him, he learned that no matter what, Spider-Man always gets up and keeps going, at the same time he learned to take his leap of faith. Before becoming Spider-Man he had a normal and happy life, but after being bitten by that spider his whole life fell apart, but of course, Miles is someone truly strong and full of determination thanks to the people close to him.
In two days, he surpassed almost the entire Spider-gang, and in a year and a half he become almost a professional as Spider-Man, even giving lessons to everyone else, and making it clear to Gwen and the others what truly means being Spider-Man, not standing by crossed arms while someone is in danger, but trying to do everything you can to save everyone, doing both things, even when it seems impossible, Spider-Man should always try, because everything it's possible.
Tumblr media
At the same time that Miles felt stabbed in the back by the same people to whom he wanted to dedicate his entire future just to see them again since he felt alone and sad inside in the world without them, and, specially, without Gwen.
And let me remind something, Miles actually thinks she doesn't even love him and only sees him as a friend, but he still wants to see her
On the ATSV betrayal, he release all that hurricane of emotions that he had to swallow and accumulate inside during ITSV and during that entire year and a half for not having time for ALL those things said before, leading him to have anxiety and panic attacks (Something confirmed in the synopsis of the short "The Spider Within")
Tumblr media
All so that they later reveal to him that he was a mistake, an anomaly, that he should never have been Spider-Man, that he killed the Peter of his universe, causing everything that gave MEANING to his life fell down in just a few minutes, leaving Miles more traumatized, mortified and with more trust issues than he already had before.
He really became one of the most tragic character of all the saga (Along with Peter B and, put it in some way, Miguel O' Hara)
Tumblr media
And just because Miles looks with a cool and chill personality doesn't mean he's any less traumatized and mortified on the inside (An example is Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man).
Tumblr media
Even though in the comics that nickname is only used because that is what his universe is called, in the movies, on the other hand, even though there are people on the internet who deny the fact that he is currently becoming an unstoppable phenomenon that is marking an entire generation and will mark future generations, Miles Morales proved to be, without a doubt, the Ultimate Spider-Man.
As a bonus, even though she always screwed up with everyone around her, both the living and the dead, Gwen showed that she really loves Miles and that he truly is the love of her life, however, needless to say, she has a lot of work to do in her redemption arc to be able to fix things with Miles, which will be very difficult but not impossible, even more so taking into account all the hate she received for everything that happened in ATSV.
Tumblr media
Now she has to PROVE not only to him, but to all of us viewers, that she truly deserves to be with Miles, that they can have a life together by her own merit, and that all the hate towards her after the ATSV release it's truly unfair.
However, I have to be realistic, there are characters like Peni or even Peter B who should not be anything more than simple 'acquaintances' or 'partners' for Miles, since, with what they did, the term "Friend" It's too big for them.
In any case, Miles has the last word.

Series Masterlist
*Spoilers for Across the Spider-Verse*
Tumblr media
As you watched Miles disappear in a flash of the Go Home machine, you couldn’t help but smile. For a moment, you had been afraid that he wasn’t going to make it. That despite everything you, Hobie, and Margo had done to help him, Miguel was going to stop him before he could escape. But he got to go home to try and save his father. He had a chance.
However, the smile slowly faded from your face as Miguel roared and ripped the arm off of the Go Home machine. You had been so focused on getting Miles off of Earth-928 that you hadn’t considered what happened afterwards. This was going to be bad.
The room had filled with other Spider-people who had all been involved in the chase for Miles and they all just stared at Miguel. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Margo’s avatar disappear and you sighed in relief. At least she would escape Miguel’s fury.
Right now, his focus had turned towards Gwen. As they began yelling back and forth at one another and Miguel dragged her into the Go Home machine, you started to back out of the room as inconspicuously as possible. While part of you wanted to run to Gwen’s aid, she was being sent back to her own universe. It was heartbreaking to watch– especially knowing what was going to happen to her father when she returned –however, she was getting off easy considering her part in getting Miles involved in the Spider-Society in the first place. Things could have been a lot worse for her. As they would probably be for you if you didn’t let Miguel cool down for a while before confronting him.
You had just about made it to the door when you heard a snarl behind you. “And where do you think you’re going?”
Red webs coiled around your arms and legs pinning them to your body and making you fall to the floor. Before you could try to squirm your way out, Miguel yanked hard and you flew backwards into him. He caught your chin with one large hand, his nails sharpening into claws and digging painfully into your skin as he held you off the ground.
His red eyes flashed dangerously as he roared in your face, “Did you think I wouldn’t see you trying to slink away? You helped him escape! You! Of the hundreds of us in the Spider-Society, you were the last one I ever imagined turning against me.”
“I haven’t turned against you, Miguel. You know I love you too much to ever do that.” With your face still pinned in his grasp, you tried your best to keep your expression calm and non-confrontational. You knew how he got when he was like this and it was better to not get him even more agitated. However, your voice remained firm and unwavering. “But right now, you’re letting your past cloud your judgment and you’re not thinking clearly. I was just trying to”
“He’s trying to alter a second canon event! We still haven’t dealt with what he did in Mumbattan and you just let him get away to do it again!” He bared his sharp teeth at you as he growled deep in his throat. In all your years together as friends or as lovers, you had never once feared Miguel would hurt you…. until this moment. All reason seemed to have left him and all you saw when you looked at his face was fury and pain. There was no trace of the man you loved before you.
Trying to keep the quiver out of your voice, you calmly said, “You said it yourself. Miles is an anomaly. He was never supposed to be one of us so who’s to say he has to uphold the canon events? From what I can tell, the Peter Parker of that world already lost his captain before he died. So maybe Miles has a chance none of us ever got. Maybe he doesn’t have to bear this loss like the rest of us. Maybe he can change his fate.”
“‘Maybe! Maybe! Maybe’! You risked the lives of an entire universe on maybe!” Miguel’s grip on your face tightened and you mewled slightly as his claws broke skin. “Whether or not he was supposed to be Spider-Man, he is now. And that means he must follow the canon. If he was different than the rest of us, he wouldn’t have already lost his uncle.”
“Or may– possibly becoming the Prowler is what got that Aaron Davis killed, not because he was Miles’s uncle.” You tried to reach up to stroke Miguel’s cheek, to calm some of his anger, but your hands were still pinned to your side by his webs. “Miguel, don’t do this. I’m begging you. Please, let Miles try. Trust that I know what I’m doing.”
Slowly, Miguel’s fury faded from his face until there was nothing left but pain. Pain that you knew you had caused. He lowered you to the floor and loosened his grip on your face though he didn’t release you. Then, as he stared deeply into your eyes, he spoke in an agonized whisper. “I did trust you. I would have gone to the ends of the multiverse and beyond for you. I gave you my heart even after I swore never to open myself up to anyone again but you turned your back on me the first chance you had.”
Tears sprung to your eyes and you squirmed against the webs, desperate to touch him. To hold him and make him feel that your love for him never wavered. “You know that’s not true. I’ve stood by your side from the very beginning. I’ve loved you and helped you build this Society so we could uphold the canon across hundreds of universes. But I just… I just couldn’t stand by this time and not at least give Miles a chance to try and save someone he loves. I’m sorry.”
For just a moment, you thought you saw a glimpse of compassion or love in his gaze but it was quickly replaced by bitter cold indifference. “I’m not.”
His claws slashed through his webbing, freeing your limbs. But before you could move, Miguel grabbed your arm, ripped your portal watch from your wrist, and hurled it against the wall where it shattered into pieces. Still holding your arm, he tossed you across the room. You crashed into the floor and slid another dozen feet or so on your side. And just as you slowed to a stop, you glitched as this unfamiliar universe attacked your cells.
You felt like your body was simultaneously being compressed and stretched in a hundred directions at once. When the glitch ended, you let out a small whimper but the sound didn’t cull Miguel’s rage any. Even as you lay in a heap on the ground, he tossed a disk in your direction and suddenly a red transparent field surrounded you.
Unable to believe he was really doing this to you, you called out to him but he ignored your plea. Instead, he turned his back on you and growled, “Jess, Ben, come with me. And somebody catch Spot.”
Jess glanced at his retreating form then back to where you were now confined. “Miguel. You can’t just leave her like this. Without a watch–”
“She made her bed, now she can die in it,” he snapped without turning around. He simply opened a portal and said, “Let’s go.”
Ben fell in behind him, but Jess hesitated, her hand reaching out towards you. But you shook your head. Miguel had judged you and once that happened, no one could change his mind. Jess had too much to lose by trying to help you and despite hating to see her leaving to track Miles down, you knew she was just as trapped now as you were. So, reluctantly, she turned and followed Miguel and Ben into the portal.
Now alone, you pulled your knees up to your chest and buried your face in them. You didn’t regret helping Miles, but you never imagined this would be the consequence. Miguel had a right to feel betrayed yet the fact he would go this far– that he was alright with you slowly glitching out of existence – broke your heart. Miguel had never been a saint but you never imagined he could do this. Not to you. How could his love sour so quickly that he was willing to let you die rather than try to understand why you did what you did?
No. I won’t accept that.
Miguel was just not thinking clearly after everything that had happened today. Deep down, he still loved you. He had to. Just as you still loved him despite him leaving you to die in this cage. If you could only show him that you were right and Miles was different, then maybe Miguel could forgive you for going against him. And maybe there was still hope for the two of you. Or maybe he would still want you dead.
Wow, Miguel was right and you did rely heavily on “maybe”.
However, there was just something about this situation that made you believe in those maybes. For years you had protected the multiverse by Miguel’s side and you had never questioned his decisions or a canon event. But something in your gut– in your spider-sense –was telling you this time was different. That Miles really could break from the canon without the same consequences as the others. But you would never know unless you found a way out of this cage!
Suddenly, you remembered how Miles managed to escape the same sort of prison an hour before. You might not have his Venom Blast powers but maybe Miguel presented you with your own way to escape. Spreading your arms and legs out as far as you could, you pressed yourself against the force field so you covered as much area as you possibly could. Then you waited.
About four minutes later, it happened. You glitched again but this time, you were ready for it. Using all the strength you could muster, you fought against the glitch and kept yourself pressed against the field. As your body began to flicker and change, so did the force field. When things finally corrected themselves and you were left moaning on the floor, you opened your eyes to see what was once your cage had been transformed into a pile of random junk from across the multiverse.
Giving it a slight push, the pile collapsed and you walked out of the remains of your prison. You were free. Now, you just had to find a way off of Earth-928 and back into the multiverse to find Miles before Miguel did. And you thought you had an idea about where to start….

Miguel's Secret
Miles and Gwen venture into a large storage room in the spider society, finding secrets long hidden from the rest of the society by Miguel.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
"We shouldn't be back here. I already made a bad first impression with Miguel back there and now he's gonna want to actually kill me. Who knows? Maybe he'll throw a chair at me next time instead of food-"
"Shh" Gwen silenced him, before glancing around and shining her phone light on the various boxes that had been discarded in the room.
Her light settled on the end of the room, where a curtain had been hung from the ceiling and drawn closed, as if to hide something. She started walking towards it, only for Miles to catch a grip of her wrist.
"Miles, let go" She huffed in annoyance at her friend's protectiveness.
"What if it's something you really don't want to see?" He said, looking concerned.
"It won't be. It'll probably just be some more boxes. I wanna check though." She replied. Miles' eyes flickered between the white curtain sheet and Gwen before he sighed deeply and let go of her. He remained close behind her as she advanced to the curtains.
Gwen took a deep breath, held it, then pulled the curtain back, revealing a woman lying down on an examination table. Upon further inspection, the two realised she wasn't a human but a very realistic-looking robot, judging by the red ring on the side of her head.
Miles let out a profanity while Gwen gasped in freight. "Okay, not a dead body but still just as creepy" He whispered.
Gwen stepped closer to the robot, pressing the red ring which changed to blue, and the robot woke up...
(Switch to first person)
My eyes gently opened at the sound of voices. Two young voices, one male, one female. Both sounded scared. I slowly moved my head in their direction. I looked between the two teens, not recognising their faces. I gently sat up, after not moving in so long, I felt stiff. By now, the teenagers were less scared and more defensive.
"And who are you supposed to be?" The boy asked.
I gave him a kind and gentle smile. "I am Y/n. And you?"
"Miles"
"Gwen" The girl added.
I got off the table and looked around the dark area. "Where...where am I?"
Gwen and Miles looked at each other to exchange looks only they understood. Gwen answered me.
"You're in the Spider Society's basement, or should I say the storage room"
I grew sad. Where was I locked inside the storage room. And then the last moments of my last encounter of seeing light came back to me. I could still remember every detail of his face, my creator, Miguel O'Hara. "Miguel..." I whispered to myself, but Gwen and Miles heard me.
"You know Miguel?" Gwen asked.
"Why, of course. I was his Ai after all" I smiled sadly.
"A second Ai of Miguel's?" Miles tilted his head.
"I was Miguel's first Ai assistant, just before he made Lyla. The only reason he never mentions me is because I had a defect. Or, at least, that's what he called it. Miguel had programmed me to do a number of things, which involved making him breakfast and helping him with his work. He had made me a physical body, which looked so human sometimes it even tricked him. I would end up having to remind him I wasn't a real person." I sighed and looked down at my hands as I continued.
"My defect seemed to be a certain emotion. The first time I had ever displayed it, was the last because Miguel immediately stopped me and told me to sit down in the examination chair so he could check everything was alright. He told me to close my eyes and now I'm here. It seems he had shut me down for a while. Ever since I've been shut down, I've been searching for a reason as to why he would shut me down but-"
"He thought you fell in love with him" Gwen stated.
I looked up at her surprised. "What?" I whispered.
"You loved him, didn't you?" Gwen pressed.
"Gwen, I don't think you should be nailing her with questions like this" Miles said, looking worried.
"No, we need to know"
"We really don't"
"You love him" Gwen ignored Miles, stepping closer to me causing me to step back.
"I.."
"Gwen, stop it"
"Your hesitation just confirms it. You fell in love and he killed you for it" Gwen stated.
"Gwen!" Miles scolded, not believing she had just said that.
I looked down solemnly. "Death is never our own decision" I said.
"You poor AI" Gwen sighed, turning to Miles. "Does Miguel know she's awake?"
"Let's hope not."

He caught your chin with one large hand, his nails sharpening into claws and digging painfully into your skin as he held you off the ground.

tattoo artist hobie/college au pt. 2!!
pt. 1
the Black Widow’s two-storey building was nestled between a café and a music shop, tinted glass windows gleaming in the late afternoon light. a bell dinged when miles stepped in, eyes flicking down to his watch reading 4:58p.m.; he let the door fall shut behind him as he took in the cool concrete floor and the matte black brackets of plants on the foyer wall, leaning his elbow against the front counter.
“hi,” he greeted the receptionist, who gave him an expectant half-smile. “uh, i’ve got a five o’clock with—”
“you’re early.”
miles’s heart did a flip-flop in his chest.
hobie stood on the bottom step of the staircase off to the side, long legs crossed at the ankle with his hands in his plaid pockets. his slouch against the railing was easy as ever, as was his smile; miles looked down at his watch just to give himself a second to recollect, trying not to let his brain stall. 4:59. “barely.”
hobie chuckled, and it made his pearl earring sway; miles’s eyes snapped to the motion like a magnet as hobie turned away, heading back up the stairs. “well, c’mon then.”
the narrow staircase led to the second floor, an open area with a few low couches and a coffee table. there were scones and tea on a tray; chai, by the smell of it, and hobie poured for them both once they sat down opposite each other. his teal converse bumped against miles’s toes as miles took his cup with whispered thanks and had a sip, brows raising.
“good, innit?” hobie murmured over his own, lips curling up the same way his fingers curled around the handle. “gift from a friend, his aunt makes it. help yourself to the scones, yeah?”
miles hummed, swallowing. his eyes flickered from hobie to the table to the wall and back to hobie again; the way he leaned back into the couch, loose-limbed and comfortable, was awfully distracting. miles took a second sip with that dark gaze on his skin, and the silence got louder.
“ay, sorry, i’m—” hobie sat up properly, hand on the back of his neck as he offered a sheepish chuckle. “i’m staring. s’rude of me.”
“nah. depends on why you’re staring.” the words were out of miles’s mouth before he could filter them, and he snapped his mouth shut in mortification.
hobie just laughed, piercings twinkling as he grabbed a buttered scone and bit it in half. “business first, brooklyn boy.”
miles valiantly willed the heat out of his cheeks and sat forward, putting his teacup down to pull his laptop out of his messenger bag. “so how’d you know about me? and my art?”
hobie smirked like he knew something miles didn’t. “school.”
he froze, narrowing his eyes. “...what do you mean, school?”
“we go to the same school.”
“we— wait.” miles knew hobie’s voice sounded familiar. “you’re the guy on our college’s radio station.”
hobie gave him jazz hands, brows lifting with a bemused smile. “the one and only.”
he gave hobie an incredulous look, mouth falling open. “man, i listen to you! how have i never seen you on campus?”
“we’re on opposite ends. i’m majoring in classical music,” hobie replied, grinning wide enough for miles to notice a smiley piercing against his front teeth. “you’ll never guess how i found out about you.”
“…i don’t know if i wanna ask.”
“ya happen to know a certain miss stacy?”
miles goggled. “you know gwen?! i mean, okay, no, gwen knows you?”
the other boy cackled, shoving the remaining half of his scone into his mouth and dusting his hands on his pants. “why’s that such a surprise, huh? we’re in the same block!”
“yeah, but—” miles sputtered, waving his hands about with his laptop forgotten. the way hobie’s eyes crinkled when he laughed was doing funny things to his brain. “you’re cool.”
and hobie really was; he was wearing dark red gloss today, lashes spiked with glittery mascara, a distressed black tank showing through the loose knit of the cream sweater hanging off one shoulder. he had a new ear stack on too, gold and garnet in a delicious contrast against his rich skin, and the tattoos on his forearms moved with him when he settled back against the couch.
“gwendy’s plenty cool,” he countered, playfully arching a pierced brow.
“not after you’ve seen her laugh so hard she shot rice out of her nose,” miles deadpanned, and he reveled in hobie’s wheeze. “but seriously, dude. there is no way in hell i haven’t seen or heard of you before.”
he knew he looked good, or at least decent; he had a solid sense of fashion and a workout routine that was consistent enough, but hobie was electrifying like a spark to your brain stem.
“let’s just say i like to keep it on the down-low.” hobie offered a mirthless chuckle. “a violin prodigy who hates practicin’ and prefers electric guitar, and still has one of the most sought-after scholarships across the board? i ain’t exactly got a fan club, now, bein’ the black sheep and all that.”
miles tongued at the inside of his cheek, fiddling with the charm bracelet on his left wrist. “they’re wrong about you.” hobie’s eyes flickered to him, sharp and intense, and miles shoved down against the way his heart was climbing up his throat.
“ya barely know me.”
“and yet i like you,” he challenged, setting his teeth against the verity. “and i’m not wrong about people very often.”
he watched as hobie’s eyes widened imperceptibly, falling shut as the other boy scrubbed broad palms across his face with a heavy sigh. “bloody— gwendy told me you’d be like this.”
“like what?”
“stubborn,” hobie muttered, peeking at him between two ring-clad fingers, full lips ticking up at the corner. he said the word like a compliment. “she’d warned me, y’know. i suppose just not enough.”
the laugh that slipped from miles’s throat was unplanned, thick like a weighty throw pillow to the chest. “sorry to break it to you, but my best friend is biased,” he said primly, pursing his lips. “also possibly a little bit crazy. and a liar.”
“alright, alright.” hobie’s grin was awry, pulling at his lip ring. it was ridiculously charming. “how ‘bout ya re-introduce yourself on your own terms, then?”
miles cocked his head, pretending to consider before he stuck out a hand. “miles morales. double major in visual arts and graphic design. it’s a pleasure.”
he tried not to shiver when hobie’s fingers wrapped around his, elegant and calloused, warm against his skin like the weight of hobie’s gaze.
“hobie brown. tattoo artist, lead guitarist extraordinaire—” he let go and sat back, dark eyes glittering above a soft smile, “—and i think you’ll find that the pleasure’s all mine.”
miles swallowed, mouth dry. his pulse fluttered.
oh, boy.

"It's for the better, just know it's for the better" Clinging on Miles' hand, the struggle in his eyes remained evident. Of course it were having to hold on to a whole person and police vehicle with weak web fluid, not to mention the emotional strain the current moments had on his heart.
"This cannot be happening, not when I haven't even found Miles"
"This can not be happening"
Nothing the father or son thought and said could've stopped the series of misfortunes for even a second. Because indeed, without a doubt, Miles' canon event was in process. What the Spider-Society, including yourself failed to decipher was that there were another crucial variable to Miles' canon: you.
"Miles you have to let me go"
The soft eyes you gave to him made the beautiful chaos seem mediocre. Be it the case that you had to be thrown onto a broken off bridge, Miles was going to make sure you were alive at least.
"I can do both, I can save you both"
Through his own peripheral he saw you shaking your head, tears dampening and streaming through the holes of your rubbed out mask. Since ever, you knew Miles had to ability to do great things. It wasn't something new when monitoring him for over 2 years now. But this, this whole thing was too much pressure for such a diamond.
"MILES"
Using her own strength, Gwen formed a shaky structure underneath the car.
Instantly, his head shot up to her, to Gwen. The gaze they both shared mocked the brief conversation between you two.
Whatever.
That was something you knew you could never achieve with him, that stare, that intimate, loving, beatific, blissful, longing stare.
"I don't want to do this anymore"
Immediately, your expression morphed from a slight saddened to wistful. Taking advantage of their ignorance, you snapped the thinning web fluid that held you to Miles. The web fluid that held you off the bridge, away from the deep waters below; held you living.
Blocking out the screams of terror and ache, you dived head first into the ocean, the last bit of air to ever enter your body escaping with a sigh.
Reappropriate arrogance. You know that you were nothing in that moment to Miles than a person in need of saving, not because he loved you, saw you as family or even a close friend.

I got the "I'm not gonna be here forever" talk yesterday and I feel sad like why are you gonna tell me that.

Gwen is absolutely enraptured with you. She thinks of herself as the luckiest girl in the world, because not only are you her girlfriend, but you’re also Spider-Woman, and you can play instruments. She likes the fact that, other than the common identity you and her share, you both can easily relate with one another in an entirely different aspect. She loves music herself, even though she quit her band, but that didn’t necessarily have anything to do with her passion for playing the drums. They just weren’t her crowd, but you are to her, and she likes to take advantage of that every now and then by having you jam out with her whenever the two of you are having a particularly slow day of crime-fighting.
Since you’re also Spider-Woman, it’s really interesting to know what your own special abilities are. You and her both knew of the spiderverse, and how there were billions of different Spider-People like you and her, but they all seemed to be different in their own right, and so she just thought the same applied to you. Especially when she had first met you late one night, while she was swinging back home to get some much needed rest. An odd looking, bright portal had appeared, and out came you. It was a rough landing, and you definitely made a sound of hurt at the harsh fall, but it didn’t take you very long to get up on your feet and freak out, because you had absolutely no idea where you had been taken.
Your first interaction with her was a little rocky, but things swiftly smoothed out not too long after. Realizing that you were also Spider-Woman, who used music as a way to express your powers, in a way that was pretty different from your typical Spider-Person, was a pretty fascinating thing to her. Only later on did you and her realize that Hobie was similar in that way, but at the time, you were the only other Spider-Person she knew of. And then when you and her were eventually sucked out of your own worlds and plopped into Earth-1610, things just got a little crazy from there. You met Miles Morales, and then Peter Parker, and Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker, and even Porky Parker, which was kind of interesting to you.
You didn’t know a pig could be Spider-Man.
Throughout that time, your relationship with Gwen grew. Because the both of you had known each other a bit longer than any of the other Spider-People you eventually met, you and her remained at each other's sides through the thick of everything all those months ago. When it was all said and done, you – unfortunately – went back home, but it wasn’t before the blonde confessed to you that she liked you, as more than a friend. And so, throughout the stand still, where you were stuck in your own world, and she was stuck in hers, it made things very difficult. For the both of you.
But then when the second round of portals appearing happened, and you were picked up by Miguel O’Hara and Jess Drew, you begged them to let you see Gwen. But it seemed as though your Spider-Woman was already twenty steps ahead of you. When you made it to Earth-928 and met a ton of other Spider-People who apparently resided in what they called a spider society, you also reunited with the person you had been wanting to see for far too long.
That time of your life was an interesting one, though. Getting watches that allowed you to go into other worlds was pretty cool. Honestly, it was how you and Gwen spent some of your dates. You would bring your guitar with you, strap it to your back, and she would ask you to play some songs for her, while the two of you sat on the edge of some random building, in some random universes’ version of New York. Those nights in particular were comforting. They brought the both of you solace, and took your minds away from the thoughts of tomorrow, and what certain villains were planning on gifting you.
Sitting on top of a building was also where you and her shared your first kiss. It was a quiet night. You were tired, and so was she. Your mask rested on your thigh as your hand rested over it to keep it in place, while Gwen had hers settled to the side. No one was able to see the two of you. It felt like a little secret safe space to you and her, and in a way, it was. You and her were simply talking about nothing particularly important, and then the topic of your favorite hobby, the thing you were passionate about, came up. You went on and on about it, a smile on your lips the entire time, and the blonde couldn’t help but stare at you as though you were the only other person in the world.
A flurry of heavy emotions entered her stomach the longer you spoke, and it eventually got to a point where she quietly scooted in close, as she reached a hand up to rest it on your jaw. Immediately, you stopped speaking when you felt her gloved palm touch you, still adorned in her suit, and the moment your gaze met hers, she leaned forward and pressed her lips against yours. It was gentle and soft. So much so to the point where it almost brought tears to your eyes. The way she conveyed how much she cared about you through such a simple action threw your mind into a whirlwind. And so when the two of you inevitably pulled away, all you could do was stare at her with a parted mouth and an expression of utter shock.
She thought it was cute.
And honestly, you had a lot of other firsts with her. Not all of them were as soft as your first kiss, but those moments were still times in the relationship that you and her knew were always going to be remembered.
Like smacking a villain in the face with your guitar. Or using a gadget you had made, that produced a deafening musical note. Unfortunately, it was a bust, considering it not only deafened your enemies, but also yourself and anyone else who was around. You and Gwen had ringing ears for a few days after that one, but hey, it was an experience neither of you regretted. What you did regret was breaking your instrument, though. So, you know… that wasn’t a very fun time for you.
But all was fixed when you were gifted a spider-themed guitar for your birthday, by your wonderful girlfriend. She knew how attached you were to your prized instrument, and you definitely showed how thankful you were when you let out a happy little squeal the moment you unveiled the wrapped up box that encased your six string. Of course, you gave her a tight hug that proved how appreciative you were, and she couldn’t stop herself from giggling softly and pressing a kiss to the side of your head. She always liked it when you’d get overly excited over something that might have been seen as mundane to someone else.
Since you and her are both Spider-Women, too, there’s definitely been a time where you’ve asked to do the cliche Spider-Man kiss. It came to your mind one time when you and Gwen were swinging through New York. You called to her and asked her about it, and she let out a loud laugh before voicing how she wasn’t entirely against the idea, but also how that movie kiss was way too over-fantasized. As in, she doubted it would have been nearly as enjoyable as it seemed in the movies.
Still, she entertained the idea.
It wasn’t terribly bad, but you and her would have much rather kissed each other normally. It was a cute moment, though. Lots of giggles and smiles against each others’ mouths, before one of you would pull away and let out an amused giggle that almost caused you to fall, whenever you decided to be Spider-Man in the situation. When Gwen tried being the latter, she actually did fall, but because of her abilities, she managed to correct herself before she bashed her head against the floor.
After that, you and her stopped doing it.
You didn’t want your girlfriend to get hurt, even though she was very durable, like you.
It was just that natural protective nature the both of you had towards one another.
Naturally, it comes out when you and your partner both live a life that consists of fighting crime. But you and her make up for it. When everything has settled down, and the streets seem to be clean of idiotic villainous wannabes – for the time being – you and her sneakily go back to spider society to rest for the remainder of the night, or back to the apartment that you and her bought, for the sake of being closer to each other. Especially on the nights when nightmares creep into your minds, and you both are needing the comfort of one another. Either way, the two of you are inseparable.
Just like you and your guitar.

I just saw a Spider-Verse post and it reminded me
Mf really be out there hating on Gwen and then loving Miguel. Darling the misogyny is showing.
For me, she had done nothing wrong because let’s look at this from her perspective. She is a cops daughter with a dead best friend who she very much loved and whose death she blames herself for.
Her cop dad also happens to blame her alter ego, Spider-Woman, for the death of said best friend.
When he finds out who she is, she feels like she has two options, the first is to remain in her universe as an outcast and the second is to go with this strange man and his partner. Keep in mind she thought her dad would arrest her and that would result in jail time and a ruined life.
She goes with the man and he explains this elite order of Spider-People and the multiverse. SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO SEE MILES. She could only use the watch to go where they told her too. Even then, when she was sent to Miles’ universe, she went to see him even when she was not supposed to, this demonstrates she does, in fact, care about him.
As for the not telling Miles about the canon event, we have to remember she spent the months in the order being manipulated by the adults around her, as an impresionabile teenager. She was taken advantage of by people. By Miguel.
And even with this brainwashing, she was still able to see the error of her ways, in the end supporting Miles and helping him rescue his dad even after she got kicked out by Miguel, again.
And she somehow gets blamed and shunned, even when she puts together a whole rescue team, while the man at fault for the whole mess, who still actively does everything in his power too see Miles’ dad dead , gets adored.

Welp, time to explain my theoretical Miles×Gwen×Mikey crackship AU to literally everyone that didn't ask, yayyyy!
So, how did we end up here?
Well, it all starts off like the canon of the Into the Spiderverse movies. Miles meets Gwen, falls in love with her, becomes Spiderman, defeats Kingpin and she goes home into her own universe, seperating Miles and her for the time bring, yet Miles still remains pining after her. All very canon-adherent.
Now, here's the point where stories diverge because a few months after the events of the first Spiderverse movie, Miles meets Mikey while the turtle mutant is spray painting. They get along well, due to similar personalities and goals in life. Both of them want to prove how capable and mature they are to others and aren't particularly fond of being dismissed as a kid.
A friendship blossoms and with some time, both of them develope crushes on each other.
Now, Miles has to decide whether or not he wants to pursue Mikey or keep on hoping that somehow, Gwen will one day return so that they could be together.
He chooses Mikey. It's the reasonable thing to do, right? Miles doesn't even know if he'll ever see Gwen again, they're dimensions apart.
And for a while, everything is perfect as it is. Miles and Mikey get fake-married (it was an accident, loooong story), they go on patrol dates together, they comfort each other when things are rough. They're as happy as you can be when you're a teen vigilante carrying the world on your shoulders.
Then, the events of the second Spiderverse movie happen.
One random day, Gwen drops out of Miles' ceiling and hugs him. Miles is happy to see her again, even if infinitely confused. His feelings are going wild and he doesn't know if he still has feelings for her. (Spoiler alert: he has, but he would never betray Mikey over it.)
As in Spiderverse canon, Gwen and Miles swing across the city, catching up with each other, only for a weird, fast, green blur to crash into Miles without warning.
Gwen thinks it's an enemy, but no, it's just Mikey, Miles' boyfriend.
Miles can see in her eyes that she's heartbroken, but Gwen puts on a friendly façade and behaves kindly towards Mikey. Mikey does the same.
When Rio catches the three of them on the rooftop, Mikey hides from her and seeing Gwen and Miles next to each other, Rio assumes Gwen is Miles' crush. Gwen leaves quickly.
Miles and Mikey follow her, across dimensions, because Miles is worried he'd never see her again and Mikey is a supportive boyfriend.
Everything in the movie happens the same way, excluding some minor changes. Mikey gets a death prophecy from Miguel, too, Mikey kicks ass during the Mumbattan disaster and the Spiderman chase and at the end of the movie, Mikey and Miles strand in the 42 dimension while Gwen assembles a rescue team for them.
We skip to the ending of Beyond the Spiderverse.
Gwen apologizes to Miles for betraying him.
Surprisingly enough, Mikey forgives her first and urges Miles to do the same (he saw the good in fricking Draxum who didn't make any effort to redeem himself, he forgave Gwen the moment she came to their aid).
After that, the three of them hang out often. Gwen and Mikey get along suprisingly well, bonding over their mutual death prophecies and having dads who tried, but fucked up in some parts regardless (though Splinter would have never held a gun to his sons' heads)
Miles and Gwen know of their mutual feelings for each other, but choose to not act on it because Miles is in a happy relationship with Mikey.
And they probably would have remained in this weird limbo if it not were for Pavitr and Hobie, the wingmen ever, who suggested to solve the problem with polyamory.
Surprise, surprise, it works! Everyone is happy, yayyy!
Now, here are my art bribes and some headcanons to sweeten my pitch for this ship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Mikey and Gwen practice ballet together as seen in the pic above.
-Miles is periodically swallowed in hugs because he has not one, but two clingy ass-fuck partners.
-When Mikey first visits Gwen's dimension, he lights up her whole world in orange and gold because mystics.
-Miles and Gwen take turns on the singular braincell in the polycule, Mikey is just vibing (causing chaos and being a delightful little weirdo).
-The three of them always gift each other sunflowers for birthdays and valentine's (it's an insider between them).
-They're a sun×star×moon relationship with Mikey being the sun, Miles being the star and Gwen being the moon.
-Terrible puns. All of them make them to crack each other up. They're not even funny oftentimes, but to them? Comedy gold. Villains are extremely annoyed with them.
-Throuple patrols every week. It's their form of casual dates.
If you like my weird idea, drop your own headcanons in the reblogs. I'd love to hear them.

Thawing the ice
Platonic yandere miles x reader
Tumblr media
Miles was scared of you.
He felt silly admitting that, but he was scared of you.
But in all fairness, you were scary. You constantly held a fierce glare towards anyone who approached you, and for a someone with no powers you were surprisingly strong when it came to shoving people or fighting people to stay away from you. He learnt that the hard day the first day you met when he was ordered to catch you.
So imagine his shock when he finds you, the person who intimidates him the most only coming second to Miguel, sitting on the kitchen counter in an oversized pink shirt, that he recognised as Gwens, eating a smiley face pancake in the spiderverse kitchen in the communal home.
He just stared at you from the entrance as he watched this scary figure commit such a wholesome act. He even saw a small smile playing on your lips as you finished your pancake, that was until Miles shoes squeaked on the floor and you head shot upwards.
Your lips retook their usual frown as your eyes narrowed into the usual glare that felt more terrifying as it was now aimed directly at him. You hopped down from the kitchen counter and hid your plate behind you but miles had already seen enough.
“Heyy you…. I… um…” miles muttered out as he felt sweat dripping from his forehead “didn’t know you….. came around here?…”
Your glare intensified as miles scratched the back of his head nervously while urging himself to try and walk away
“I promise I tell anyone I saw this” miles rushed out as his hands put themselves up in mock surrender “I’ll leave and pretend this never happened”
Miles backed away slowly like you were a wild animal that could attack at any moment. He wanted to back out of the room but was interrupted as his stomach rumbled embarrassingly loud.
He was quick to cover his stomach with his arms and jump at the sound as if it didn’t come from him. You eyed him curiously before letting out a sigh
“Sit down” you said while motioning to the chair next to the kitchen table.
“Oh I’m fine.. you really don’t have to-” he tried to speak but you cut him off
“I said sit down” you commanded with a glare
“Yes ma’am” miles said nervously as he rushed to pull the chair out and sat down
There’s an awkward silence afterwards as you take the remaining pancake batter and you put it into the pan. It sizzles loudly but the awkward tension seems to be the only thing miles could hear.
“Sooo…” miles started as he watched you make the pancake “how are you enjoying your stay in the spiderverse?”
“How would you like a stay where your trapped and the only way you can see your loved ones is by watching them through a camera?” You scoff out and miles winces, he knows your anger isn’t directed at him but it still felt strangely like a scolding
“Not great?” He replies nervously but it comes out as more of a question
“Yep” you say with a sigh as you flip the pancake “not great”
The silence returns as you work on the pancake. You glance between your moving hands and miles who just stares at the wall to the side of him, inwardly scolding himself for his stupid question.
“I heard you went a mission with Hobie” you say, breaking the awkward silence “how did it go?”
“Oh it went good” miles replied as some relief enters his tone that you were talking to him “hobies super helpful, he even taught me a new swinging technique”
“Glad to know he’s helpful to other people” you say sarcastically as you pull out a plate and delicately transport the pancake onto it.
“Haha yeah” miles laughs nervously as he stretches the back of his head “how did you know about the mission?”
“Hobie told me” you scoff out slightly at the memory “he comes to me after every mission to annoy me with the details”
Miles just nods as he digests the information. Hobie hangs out with you? It would make sense since Hobie is super cool and your terrifying so that makes you slightly cool. You didn’t seem to enjoy his company though…
You placed the plate in front of miles as you sit in the chair opposite him. Miles looks down to find a smiley face made with chocolate chips on his pancakes. He goes to question you but he sees you look away and he can see the tiniest bit of blush on your cheeks, best to leave it for now
Miles tucks in as his stomach growls in hunger. He barely comes up for air as he cuts the pancake up and shoves it into his mouth. You look at his chocolate chip and pancake covered face with slight disgust.
“Damn boy, doesn’t your mama feed you?” You question in bewilderment, miles goes to answer but you snap at him before he can “swallow before you answer, Jesus”
Miles nods in embarrassment as he chokes down his food and wipes his face with a napkin before turning to you again
“She does” he says defensively before going nervous again “it’s just Miguel’s got me on so many missions that I don’t really have time to eat”
“Well that’s fucking stupid” you remark with a scoff
“I know, I try to eat but sometimes-“ miles tries to explain but you cut him off again
“No not you” you dismiss with a wave of your hand “Miguel, he shouldn’t be pushing you to go on so many missions. Your a kid and you need time to eat and have a break”
“Yeah I guess” miles mumbles out before forcing a chuckles “he’s the boss though, right?”
“I’ll talk to him” you state as you take the empty plate from miles and you place it in the sink before handing him a glass of water
“He really doesn’t like people telling him what to do” miles says hurriedly in an attempt to dissuade you
“He already hates me” you state with an eye roll as you begin to clean the plates you used “me yelling some sense into him won’t change anything”
Miles felt warmth blossom in his chest that he recognised as admiration and gratitude. Not even his closest friends would stand up to Miguel for him, well excluding Hobie but that was more to piss Miguel off than to defend miles, but you would.
He looks at you as he realises how much he misjudged you. You weren’t terrifying or mean, you were secretly nice. You were just someone who was angry at their situation.
“Thanks” miles says as he shoots you a grin as he feels that your icy walls have began to thaw, only slightly but it was happening “that would be really nice of you”
“No problem” you sigh out as you dry your hand with a tea towel, you walk to him slightly and you awkwardly pat his shoulder in what was meant to be a reassuring gesture but the grimace on your face was the opposite of reassuring “your a good kid”
Miles was only a few years younger than you and usually he would feel offence at the title, but when you said it a small bit of joy sparked in his chest.
“Thank you for the pancakes” miles says gratefully as he shoots you a grin
“No problem” you say with your back turned to him
Miles said goodbye and went to leave but was stopped by your voice calling to him
“Oh and miles?” You called out and miles stopped an turned to you
“Yes” he says back as he gives you his full attention again
“Tell anyone about this and Miguel will be the least of your problems” you threaten as you turn your head to glare at him from over your shoulder
“Yes ma’am” miles gulped as he practically ran out the room “never happened”
Okay, maybe you were still terrifying. But now miles knows that your cool enough to be terrifying for it to not matter anymore.
Miles walked out of that kitchen with the growing feeling of adoration blooming in his chest. He couldn’t wait to hang out with you again!

Above her is text reading "10 seconds away from a mental breakdown." The three remaining panels are of Peter B Parker from Into the Spiderverse, Miles Morales, Andrew Garfield Peter Parker, Tom Holland Peter Parker, and Tobey Maguire Peter Parker. My Predictions for the Final Spider-verse
My semester is over, b*tches. You know what that means - I watched both the Spider-verse movies again. After seeing them with fresh eyes (meaning I thought about nothing but The Hunger Games and international relations for four straight months), I have a handful of predictions for the next movie. I am mostly interested in putting these all down so I can check my skill whenever the next film finally comes out. Disclaimer - this is motivated by no external knowledge. I've only read like three Miles comics and played the PS4 games, so this is all guess work. I have no idea how faithful this franchise is to the other media.
So, obviously throughout two movies we have the narrative of "Miles doesn't know who he is or what he wants". In the first movie we have the Great Expectations essay, and in the second we have his college applications where his advisor says "I don't know Miles, and I don't think he knows himself," (or something to that effect). We set the stage for the third film asking who Miles is going to be, both as himself and as Spider-Man.
Enter to Earth 42. We left Miles with the Prowler/Miles 42 and Aaron Davis on an Earth with no Spider-Man, which is being destroyed by the Sinister Six Gang. Based on the Spider-Man theme of redemption and how villains can always become good, I think they team up to help Earth 42.
Gwen + crew join the equation, with Miguel close behind. Miles needs his own watch to keep from glitching, so I have to assume there will be some dire scene where he's glitching out. A near miss, but he gets the watch. Either that, or Earth 42 Miles helps him build one, and he misses Gwen + co. altogether.
There will be someone who holds off Miguel. I think it will either be Miles42 or Spider-Woman, despite the former being a "villain" and the latter being unwaveringly aligned with Miguel's ideas in the second film.
Miles makes it back from Earth 42 just in time to fight Spot. I don't think Miles saves his dad, though - I think Gwen does. She's not lost anymore (she mended her issues with her dad), so she has to make up for betraying Miles in ATSV. We got a little foreshadowing of the Garfield-esque fall from TASM 2 in ATSV (I think in Mumbattan?), so I'm certain we will see the real fall in the third film. But of course, Miles can save her because he's an anomaly and from a different dimension and the rules don't apply to him the same way.
Based on Miles losing his uncle in the first film, I think someone close to him will still die in the third one. I just have no idea who.
I think the way that Miguel finds out that the worlds can tolerate Miles being an anomaly is that his canon event is interrupted and the world doesn't implode. I think they'll finally consider that despite being an anomaly, he's already had many of the canon events of a true Spider-Man.
I think they take out Spot the same way he came into being, by reversing whatever the process was that made him what he is. I think this mostly because there's no time to introduce new tech into the final movie of a trilogy. His first flashback scene in ATSV shows him holding something which reacts to the energy from the collider and transforms him. Miles, Gwen + co. just need to figure out what it was and reverse-engineer things.
Hobi was used a lot as a fast-acting plot device in ATSV, so I have to assume he will play a similar role in the last movie. He'll make an offhand comment about something that's obvious to him but not to anyone else, and it'll serve to expedite the plot.
Either that, or we find out more about Miguel's attempt to live in the alternate universe from Peter Parker, and they gain enough insights into how the multiverse works that they find a solution. Maybe both.
The only one I really don't know about is the Spider-baby. She obviously motivates Peter Parker to do the right thing (kids serve this purpose for him in both films), so I have to assume she'll just remain in that static role. Penny, Spider Noir, Pveter and Spider-Ham I think will just be muscle again.
Since we didn't get a real "What's Up Danger" scene in Across the Spider-Verse, I think the climax of the third film is going to blow the rest of them out of the water. What's Up Danger and the (lesser) scene on the train to the moon in ATSV both showed Miles breaking the glass he was perched on, because he's still scared. Logically, the climactic scene of the third film is going to be a reflection of those scenes, but we see he isn't afraid anymore. He is Spider-Man in the next film. Not a kid wearing a costume, trying to figure out what he wants and what his values are.
Oh, and obviously Miles gets and keeps the ability to go between dimensions. I also think the Spider Society will have some kind of overhaul and they begin to treat anomalies more fairly.
I know it's years out, but god I cannot wait to see this movie. The character motivations are so consistent between the first two films, I really want to know if I'm right about anything.

a very good idea - chapter 3
summary: After your boyfriend cheats on you at a party, you break up with him, who tells you nobody else is willing to be with you like him. You decide to prove him wrong, with a little help from a new friend.
ship: miguel o'hara x f!reader
______________________________________________________________
Chapter 3
“Remind me why are we doing this again?”, Jess asked at lunch time on monday, as we made our way through the cafeteria towards Peter B’s table.
She was skeptical at first when you told her about your plan.
“Gotta be honest, babe, it doesn’t make a lot of sense, I’ll tell you that”, was her initial reaction. And then you showed her the texts Harry had been sending you. He hasn't stopped since you broke up. You didn’t answer him when he called you a “stubborn bitch”, after a few hours had gone by, Harry texted you again, apologizing for what he said, telling you that he hoped the two of you could still be friends. You knew better than to tell your very protective best friend this part, but you kind of felt sorry for him.
That is until he sent you a 5 second video of him, clearly drunk, kissing a girl on the street, while other people — his friends, you assumed — screamed words of encouragement, if you could even call it that. One of them went so far as shout “fuck” followed by your name.
It was the middle of the night when you got that and it was impossible to sleep afterwards. As much as you tried to hide it, your eyes were still puffy, your heart aching.
“I thought it would be nice to have lunch at their table sometimes”, you answered her, pointing at Peter B, whose loud laugh echoed through the cafeteria. “Peter said we were welcomed and the others seemed nice about it.”
Most days you’d have lunch with Jess, with some of her volleyball team mates joining you. The days she decided to use her lunch break to catch up on some reading or errands for the many clubs she was a part of, you would sit by yourself, listening to music or reading romance novels on your phone.
This was a nice change of pace. Also, you figured it would be a good idea to spend more time with Miguel. Not only because you needed to come up with a game plan for his study sessions, but also so you’d be seen with him, make people get used to the idea of the two of you.
“Look at this, not only one little lady, but two”, Hobie gave you and Jess a nod. You couldn’t help but cringe at his line, even though you knew he meant well.
“Call me little lady again and I’ll stomp on you”, Jess was half joking half telling the truth. She was tall enough to do that, you were sure.
“Uh, darling, don’t threaten me with a good time.”
Jess rolled her eyes, sitting down near Gwen, who apologized for her friends “being so weird”.
“Hobbie, you were supposed to be a lady magnet, not repellent”, Miles complained.
“All is fair in love and war, mate”, Hobbie said.
“What? That doesn’t even make any sense.”
Peter B. was talking to Miguel, who seemed grumpy for some reason, but stopped and smiled when you sat down in front of them.
“You came back!”, Peter said, excited. He was always excited, it seemed. Which made his friendship with Miguel kind of funny to you, since the latter was so closed off.
“Thank you for having us”, you smiled back. “We barely arrived and it’s already interesting”, you looked back at Hobbie and Miles.
Peter laughed: “Oh, all in the name of good fun. It’s the Peter B’s guarantee”.
Miguel, who had remained silent until now, hid his face with his hands.
“Peter, for the love of God, you have to stop saying shit like this out loud”, he groaned.
It was so genuine it made you laugh. Not your usual contained laughs, a real one. Miguel finally looked at you, surprised. You kept laughing.
“What's so funny?”, Jess stopped talking to Gwen for a moment.
“I…don’t…know”, you fought the laughter, but it just kept going despite your efforts. Your best friend smiled at you, so did Gwen.
“Miguel, you’re already handsome and smart, you can’t be funny too, otherwise, what’s left for us?”, Miles teased. “Right, Peter?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’m also smart and handsome.”
“Cute, maybe, you haven’t earned handsome yet”, added Hobbie.
“I guess aunt May will just forget to make you a vegetarian pie on your birthday this year”, Peter crossed his arms.
“No no no, mate, that’s…Never mind what I said before, you are very handsome, Miguel doesn’t even compare, isn’t that right?”, Hobbie poked you in the arm.
You were recovering from your laugh fit, smile on your face, recovering your breath. You looked at him, then at Miguel. Your new fake boyfriend had his eyebrows up, looking at you with a sly smile. He really was beautiful, every line and texture on his face had a purpose, almost like he was sculpted rather than conceived.
“I’m sorry to inform you, Miguel is still very handsome”, you look back at Hobbie, then at Peter. “It doesn’t mean you can’t be too, Pete.”
“Thank you, your invitation to sit at our table has been successfully renewed”, he declared.
You nodded and looked at Miguel.
“So you think I’m handsome, huh?”, he had a smirk on his face.
“Well, it’s more like a fact rather than an opinion”, you were starting to notice how good you’ve been at bullshitting. The things you’d say when you were not overthinking it.
“Interesting”, Miguel crossed his arms.
“All smug out of the sudden. Just a few minutes ago when I arrived you looked like you were about to combust.”
“What?”, his face then coming to realization. “I was upset because there were no more empanadas left when we got here.”
You were trying not to laugh again, but he said it with such seriousness.
“Wow, yes. That can be very upsetting.”
“Why call it empanadas mondays if there aren’t enough empanadas?”
“Sure. If it was called barely empanadas monday, at least you could manage your expectations before coming here.”
“This is very serious to me, cariño.”
Cariño . You felt something in your heart. Something different, but good. You didn’t remember exactly what the word meant, just that it was a spanish term of endearment. It threw you off the banter for a second.
“Gotcha, empanadas are very important.”
“That’s correct.”
“Speaking of…we need to start our lessons. Can you stay after class today?”
“I have basketball practice”, he said. “Could you meet me afterwards?”
“Sure. I need to catch up on some homework in the library, I’ll come and find you.”
“It’s a date.”
