This is gonna act as a "Masterpost" of sorts for dqb2 modding/editing tools, for anyone interested

Default-kramer let me recompile all of the modding information and tools on his page.

Here is a link to a github page that holds all code knowdledge of the game in one spot!

There are missing links to threads/videos that have some interesting stuff. Right now it only has the tools listed for use.

If anyone is interested in the modding community, wants to use the tools and/or wants to help out in reverse engineering the game you can also send me a message and I'll try to help out as much as I can!

I remember a time where I was not very fond of mods and such. But in a way we are just creating something from what the devs gave us. If we can't have more DQB then we'll give the DQB we have a breath of fresh air!

Here's how to fix Frank Punisher.

First, retcon whatever happened in Punisher 2022. Say it was all a dream and Frank passed the test or whatever by not giving into the Beast at the very end, thereby defeating it. Or the Beast was possessing him the whole time, so none of that was really him, and also Maria was not like really Maria or whatever. I don't care, it's bad, it completely undermines everything that makes Frank as a character, and it needs to go.

So. At the end of Punisher 2022, he's in some hell dimension called 'Weirdworld'. That's fine, that can stay. This is the only good content in the entire run besides Frank's obligatory homoerotic moments with Daredevil.

Frank should get forcibly adopted by wandering children and accidentally catapulted into Dad Mode™ between unimaginable bouts of violence. This is probably the only time that run got him right.

Now, to bring Frank back. He needs a new Microchip. This guy can have some connection to the original David Linus Microchip Lieberman who Frank murdered to death for betraying him back in the early aughts, or he can just be some rando who took on the hackerman name.

He appears to Frank in Weirdworld as some sort of spirit while the kids are sleeping. New Microchip has projected himself in there using magic. He offers to bring Frank out of Weirdworld, but in exchange, Frank has to grant him a favor. Frank tells him to go fuck himself with extra sauce. New Microchip offers to save the kids, too, and Frank is a sucker for kids. So he agrees.

(I'm picturing New Microchip kinda like that nerd guy from the animated Atlantis movie, but OG Microchip was also fat, so like Atlantis guy with a little extra pudge. Cute, though.)

Frank is back on Earth. The kids are free and get sent to someone, probably Natasha because Frank trusts her and she'd look at them and go "what the literal hell" and I think that would be funny. New Microchip has a very Frank-like backstory where his family got killed, and he wants Frank to kill their killers. Frank is opposed because His War Is Over and he doesn't like being forced to do things. But he has to go along because of the magic deal.

Punisher skull comes back. Frank mows the people New Microchip wants dead down in a very typical, Frank-like way. New Microchip also outfits him with a battle van and provides really good tech support. When it's done, Frank is automatically released and is no longer bound to New Microchip.

Naturally, Frank goes to kill him. He finds New Microchip sitting out back looking at the scenery of some sort with a loaded gun waiting nearby. Waiting for Frank. New Microchip's job is done, and he gave up everything to do it. He expects Frank to kill him.

Instead, Frank is like. Grudgingly impressed that this guy had the balls to take what's coming to him instead of trying to run. He also likes his new battle van and could get used to that sort of thing. So, he offers New Microchip a job.

Ok. Here's the crucial part. If this was a new run, Frank should be done with this round of gratuitous violence by issue 3-5, and he and New Microchip should be fucking before issue 10. It needs to be played exactly the same was as if New Microchip were a woman. He's patching Frank up or something, and then they start kissing, fade to black, next page shows them in bed together.

Marvel needs to really play up Frank being bisexual. Not gay. Bisexual. Frank loved his wife, and that's very important to his backstory. Also, gay and not bisexual Frank gives off this weird vibe like being gay helped make him the Punisher, and that would be a nightmare for the PR team and for me personally. But they need to make him SO queer. To the point where people see those stupid thin blue line Punisher skulls and go...isn't that the one who has a boyfriend now?

Angry right-wingers with guns will be burning their shirts and tearing the decals off their cars. Frank's fan base will return to where it belongs: with weird comic book freaks who think he's a funny little guy.

One other thing. There has to be one splash cover where Frank is bridal carrying New Microchip to safety. There should be an explosion behind them. The explosion should, inexplicably, be in the shape of a skull. Picture this. It's very romantic.

What is it that pulled you into Watch_Dogs? And what kept you locked in~? Was it just random chance that you saw a trailer or some gameplay?

First off saw your reply you could NEVER be annoying! so there!

Secondly, It was actually Wrench that pulled me in! I had Watch_Dogs 1 already I believe? I just never played it and wasn't super interested in playing it then I was on youtube one day and I seen in the recommended like top 10 most annoying characters and Wrench was the thumbnail, I thought he looked neat and clicked the video. Sure the guy in the video was big shitting on his character but I was curious and started to watch actual gameplay and was like "Hold up... Don't I own the first one?"

I didn't know if Wrench was in the first one so I decided to play it and OOPS FELL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER MASKED BOYO IN THE PROCESS (My darling rat DJ hackermans Defalt!) but despite that I WAS HOOKED! It was so fun and I adored the dark and gritty tones of WD1 so much

but I was like "Wher Wrench?" so I HAD to play the second one and while I liked that it was more colourful (literally) and more about bits and memes I still liked the first over the second.

I still can't play the poker mini game to save my life...

The experience and world of WD held me! It's so fun as either Aiden or Marcus just wandering around Chicago/San Francisco listening to music, checking out people, learning what they do or passing people who are chatting on their phones or play chess or god forbid breakin gup with their partners as a girl goes ham to his car with a bat.

The world felt ALIVE! I didn't need to stop playing once the story was over. I could wander forever and take part in fun little minigames likes chess and drinking games from the first or drone racing in the second!

It was totally random that I found Watch_Dogs but my heavens, am I glad I ever did!! It holds such a special place inside of my heart! <3

HACKERMAN MOMENT. my pmd2 rom was being Funky once i hit chapter 12. it would show the title card of the chapter and then just fade to black and stay there indefinetely. so i was sad that my funny darkrai adventures had an end. BUT THEN

i succeeded in transfering the save file from drastic on my phone to melonds on my computer and tried with a modded rom, where i got the blackscreen again, but then imported the save file to a clean rom where the game WORKED again and proceeded as normal, and THEN i ported the new working save file i made on my computer by saving after the blackscreen ended back to my phone using a fancy save file converter online.

thank u freeware enthusiasts who make niche converters like this ily. couldnt have done it without ya. mwah.

My VN List!

I'm listing them according to ones I've played and ones I plan to play (as well as brief notes about either my opinion on the game or why I'm interested in them, formatted like this.)

This is for my own personal collection tbh, I just need to put them all in one place.

A. Have played:

The Arcana. Played since I was 16, all time favourite and Julian is my husband. This game shaped my interest for fantasy settings and magic. BUT! As a long time fan I must warn new players that trying to get the full experience for this game is difficult because of its coin system. The only reason I manage to keep playing for years is because I literally take a year's worth of breaks in between routes and logged in every. Single. Day. to collect coins and keys. It's literally been 6 years and I still haven't 100% the game yet cause I simply didn't have that kind of energy and time to do that anymore, but I still love the characters very deeply till now.

Blooming Panic. Second all time fave. Fell for Quest first, fell for Toasty hardest, for some reason is obsessed with xyx. I've revolved my entire personality around BP since 2023.

ERROR 143. Fun! Micah is technically not my type but I really like the general aesthetic and humor of the game. Iirc there are still more content to come to the game so I am very excitedly and patiently waiting.

3 Seasons. This was short and sweet. I think what I liked the most about this was the unique character designs, especially Rye and Briar's. I heard the dev's are working on more content on the current LI's + Briar's route, I'm really excited for those.

Our Life: Beginning & Always. Our life was INCREDIBLE, to put it simply. The entire game and story was very well thought out that it even made me reflect on my own life at each phase along the game. It gave me a really strong sense of nostalgia and reminded me of my own feelings during every change I had experienced. I actually wanted to make a whole post about OLBA but I got busy and already forgot everything I wanted to say, ehe. I still have to play the DLC and get the remaining locked CGs though.

Assignment Due: Project Blue. THIS GAME IS ADORABLE. I already made a blog post about what I like about it and I will again emphasis on how this game felt like it was made specifically for me. I love Asher so much aaaaa. I heard rei, the dev is working on another game for Eden, I'm looking forward for that, too.

Coffee Talk. Coffee talk was so so good! I need to play more non-romance VNs too cause this was so enjoyable in terms of its storytelling, setting, gameplay and design. Every character had such a nice story that tied up nicely, even the MC who's supposed to be just an observer throughout the entire thing. Also the cozy vibes and music is a 10/10 would recommend.

A Date with Death. This one's so cute too! I played only one route last year and just picked it up again recently. I have only one route left to finish and the new DLC!. Anyways yes the Grim Reaper is very babygirl I can attest to it.

seekL. THIS IS SO GOOD. SO SO GOOD. If you didn't see the one week phase where I basically went insanely obsessed with seekL, you missed out. Hacker man save me.. save me.. hackerman..

B. Want to play:

Lost in Limbo. Really pretty art and interesting concept. The theme seems very fantasy/magic centric which really pulls me in. But this game is still a WIP iirc

When The Night Comes. Technically I'm currently playing this one, but only the intro and hadn't touched the game in months cause I've been busy. Again, the fantasy setting caught my interest aaand I just met Ezra but I already love him. Will continue this as soon as I can!

Infinite Blue. I've played the demo! Very mysmes reminiscent lol. The game looked very cute so far and Brooklyn reminded me that I'll never run away from my old man liker allegations. It's already out so I def gotta play it soon.

Coffee Talk Episode 2. Don't really need an explanation for this one except that the new characters I've seen so far looks really cool.

Tavern Talk. D&D inspired Coffee Talk! If it's not obvious already, I LOVE fantasy settings so even though I've never played D&D, it is right up my alley and I wish I could play it someday. I've been eyeing the production of this game for a while so I'm really excited that it's finally out!

Obscura. This one looks really REALLY cool but I haven't actually read into what it's actually about. The art alone looks good enough to get my attention. Really curious about it, I hope I'll play it soon.

Intertwine. Just from looking at the 2023 Otome Jam entries overall I thought this one looked most visually appealing to me. I love the color scheme, and the aesthetic reminds of the string of fate myth (that probably is the theme)

DATA BR<3ACH. I'm usually not a fan of cyberpunk setting but this one seemed pretty intriguing to me visually!

Innerlog. By Jenny V Pham! I enjoyed Error 143 so I have no doubt I'll enjoy this one too.

Andromeda Six. My impression of this one is "space D&D" lol. I can't believe I haven't played this one yet.

TOUCHSTARVED. I can NOT believe only the demo is out cause the quality looks like it should've been a long existing popular franchise. One thing I'm a little hesitant about playing this game is because it's goth themed and in case you haven't noticed, a lot of the media I like have a softer, more pastel aesthetic. lol. But that's a personal preference and yet I definitely need to play it sometime soon.

Cupid's Chatroom. There's really not much to say. Pink aesthetic? Mysterious chatsim that appeared out of nowhere? My cup of tea 100%

Na Daoine Maithe. I've played the demo of this one and it is sooo interesting. I like myths but I've never really read into Gaelic ones. The art is so pretty and the story so far is very intriguing. I can't wait for the full game.

Swiped!: Double Shots of Love. FINALLY AN INDIE VN WITH OLDER MALE LOVE INTERESTS DFKJFDSJKD I played the demo, it was really really cute! The professor LI was made to call me out lol

Wake Me Up If You Need Me. A game made by rice! Someone who I've seen around in the fandom and who's really talented at making songs and audios. I had no idea they made a game but I just found it recently and I have to play it.

Keyframes. It looks really good but I'm interested mostly cause I found out Charlatean (Toasty's VA) is in this kjsdhfgkjd

Rekindle. I follow the lovely artist that's creating it and the DEMO IS OUT!. I saw one (1) art of Jules and he is EXACTLY my type so I'm already looking forward to this game.

Our Life: Now & Forever. Baxter's OL game! I already loved Cove's so I'm really really interested in this version of the game. Plus, I actually really like the autumn aesthetic compared to Cove's beachy style.

Hummingbird's Crown. Has a very interesting premise: a time loop mystery. I'm definitely interested in this one for its story potential rather than the romance, I love me a good mystery.

There's actually a few more that I added in my twitter bookmarks but those are relatively new and I haven't decided if I really want to play them yet. I'm following the devs though so that interest might grow over time. These lists are long enough as they are already, haha.

Duskwood: Into the Forest Part 12

EPISODE 1 - 10 SPOILERS

Phil has been cursing the man without a face the entire drive back to Duskwood. He drives, with Jessy in the middle. While it may seem unsafe to you, you agree to sit on Jake’s lap for the duration of the drive back. It’s just under an hour, and the sun is hanging high in the sky. You don’t need to look at your phone to know that you are cutting it close to the start of the festivities in town.

Jake grips you tighter than any seatbelt would, cradling your head against his chest. Lilly and the others are piled into the back, trying as hard as they can to stick to the cab of the truck, avoiding the harsh wind. Phil tries to keep the speed, but the dangerous back roads and narrow passages back to town, slow him. Your heart is racing out of your chest. Will you make it in time?

“You have a plan, Hackerman?” Phil huffs after a particularly long rant about the damage to his rental.

“I don’t.” Jake’s voice is small, his breath whispers against your neck.

“What do you mean you don’t have a plan? We have to find Richy!” Jessy crosses her arms stiffly against her chest, her lips pressed into a thin line.

“And Hannah,” Jake adds.

“Yes, and Hannah.” She scoffs, “That was obvious. We’ve been trying to save her this entire time!” Her body shakes with frustration.

“I’m sorry. I’m not entirely sure what to expect. We assume that he’s taken them to town to make a statement and a big one at that. What that statement is, has become clear, however, how he presents is lost to me.” Jake sighs and leans his head into yours.

“Tell me what you found out.” Jessy’s voice is thick with frustration.

“Jessy, please. I know you’ve been through a lot, but so have we. We’ve barely slept since we arrived here, and the flight was long enough as it is. We are all trying here, including your brother. He’s been a wonderful help.” You try to console her, leaning into her portion of the seat.

You let go of Jake and wrap your arms around her neck, embracing her. Warm tears fall from the corner of her eyes, dampening the ends of your hair. You steady her in your arms, rubbing small circles where your hand meets her back.

“I just want this damn nightmare to end already!” She sobs.

“We all do, Jessy.” You try to calm her, waiting for her tears to dry up.

“We really should get you all to the hospital,” Phil says as he pops open the glass behind his seat. “You’ll be safer in the hospital, and you most likely need treatment for the drugs you’ve been exposed to.”

“You want me to go back to that wretched place?” Dan sticks his head into the interior of the truck, “Abso-fuckinglutely not. I’m a free man, and I don’t intend on going back there. Do you have any idea how long it took me to shit?”

You can’t help yourself. Your body shakes with composed laughter. Dan is exactly who he is on paper, in real life. Not that you’d expected any different. Jake and Phil both crack a smile as Jessy reaches behind her to rub her knuckles against his forehead.

“They’re right. We’d be safer there, and we’d get the help we need. Who knows what those toxins can do long-term?” Jessy smiles, “Besides, we all know you escaped prematurely. There’s more for you to do there than the rest of us.”

“I’m not going back.” He says flatly, closing the window between you.

“He just wants to help.” She says with a shrug.

“I know. Let’s let them help. They deserve just as much as we do to see this thing to the end. The only issue is now, where do we start?” You nudge Jake gently, bringing him out of his thoughts.

“The only option we have is to spread out in pairs at the festival and see what we can find. He’ll have Richy and Hannah somewhere close, waiting for the opportune moment.” Jake bites his lower lip. “If we send Cleo and Thomas one way, Dan and Lilly another, Phil and Jessy,” He pauses for a moment, deep in thought.

“Do you think that’s safe enough?” Phil mumbles under his breath, “He managed to capture five adults in one go.”

“Not in broad daylight and not surrounded by members of the community. The police will be there.” Jessy says with a bright smile.

“We can’t trust the police. There’s a chance that Alan is in on this or knows but hasn’t stopped it. We don’t why, but we shouldn’t trust him or anyone else. “Jake puts the idea to bed quickly.

“Are you sure you’re not avoiding them for your reasons?” Jessy smirks in his direction.

“I’d do anything to keep them safe.” He nods in your direction.

“I see.” You frown, “Jake. Promise me you won’t do something stupid.” You stammer.

“I won’t.” His short answer makes you do a double-take.

“Your definition of stupid and mine may be slightly different.” You try to smile, but it hurts. Your chest constricts and you have a bad feeling when he avoids your gaze.

Jake reaches for your chin, gently turning you to face him. His eyes are closed, and his nose is only inches from your own. Your breath hitches in your throat as you try to protest. Taken by his touch, you force a thin smile, encouraging him to say whatever is on his mind.

“If it meant saving your life, I’d give mine up. However, I’ve come to realize that if I’m not around to protect you,” He stops, brushing his finger over your lower lip, “You’d suffer something worse than death. I have no intentions to die here, but you have to know if it came down to your life or my own.”

“STOP!” You pull away from him, “Don’t.” Your eyes are wet. Are you crying?

You feel a warm sensation on your back. Jessy has reached over and is trying to console you as Jake opens his eyes. He wants to say something, but he’s holding back. Is it because of the people in the car? Does it have something to do with this ‘ace up his sleeve’ he’d mentioned before?

You push the thoughts away as you enter the town square. There is a partition stopping cars from entering the center of the city, but Phil has a pass to get closer to the action. As you pull up in front of the Aurora, you suddenly feel overwhelmed by nerves. This is it. This is where it ends. Will you be able to save everyone?

Jake helps you out of the truck, while Lilly and Thomas help Dan to the edge of the truck bed.

“We need a chair,” Lilly says quietly.

“That we do. I think I have one in the storage cellar. I’ll grab it.” Phil skips away and heads to the back entrance to retrieve a rusted, but still functional wheelchair.

After helping Dan into it, Thomas turns to you, “What’s the plan?”

Jake dives into the details. He explains to the others how we arrived at the assumption Hannah and Amy’s accident had been covered up by a multitude of adults within Duskwood. He broke down how everyone’s parents could be involved, especially Richy’s. They immediately started to put things together.

“The car show,” Dan mumbled under his voice. After a glance at his watch, he continued, “It’s 11. The car show should be starting between noon and 1. They’re setting up now. If we split up, some of us can search the area, and the others can search the car show. We can meet up there in an hour and talk about what we’ve found.”

“Not a bad idea, Dan.” You smile.

“We’d already decided to split, but that sounds like a great way to make sure everyone is there to stop him, should we not be able to find him beforehand.” Phil slaps Jake on the back, “Formal introductions. This is Jake and this is your wonderful new best friend. Jake’s quite taken with her,” He winks in his direction and Jake scoffs.

“We knew that.” Lilly rolls her eyes. “How should we split up?”

Jake explains the teams and dictates a block of the festival to each. As you make your way into the throng of onlookers you feel Jake slip his hand into yours. You raise an eyebrow in his direction. He smiles softly before looking away. You keep your eyes peeled until a glint of light catches your eye. At the top of the church not far from the center of town, you see what looks like a moving shred of light near the top of the bell tower.

“Jake, look.” You discreetly nod in that direction, hoping the light appears again.

It flashes several times in your direction.

“Is that morse code?” You blink rapidly, trying to mimic the light.

“If it is, it’s sloppy. Come on, let’s have a look.” Jake pulls you behind him dragging you through a throng of onlookers.

You shoulder your way past several patrons, whispering apologies as you barrel through the streets. Several people stand in front of the beautiful church, snapping photos. You smile warmly at the small town, pausing in front of the church to take in your surroundings. Your memory flashes back to just after Lilly’s vote. Jessy and Richy had accommodated a tour of Duskwood, starting in town, and ending near the lake. Jessy told you a story about how she’d been scared to death to swim in the lake as a kid. While she’d attempted to show you the softer side of Duskwood, you’d turned the tour into one of the monsters once more.

You smile at the memory. Now that you are here, you understand how tight-knit and wonderful this small town truly is. The parents may have covered up something devastating, but it was all for the sake of their young children. They’d done what they could to preserve the peaceful life of this rustic old town, and you can’t say you blame them now.

Jake squeezes your hand, snapping you back to reality.

“We have to find a way inside.” He pulls you down a narrow ally as he speaks, looking for a discreet way to enter the building.

It doesn’t take long for you to find a short, iron-barred fence, surrounding an ivory statue in the center of a small garden. A door stands in the center of the back wall of the church, tempting you to enter, to find your friends. You reach for the gate, pushing it gently open. To your surprise, it’s not locked.

You smile with triumph and turn to Jake beaming, “It’s open! What a relief.”

Jake sighs, “Don’t get your hopes up yet. The garden is open to the public during sunlight hours. It’s only natural they’d leave the entrance open. Getting into the building itself is going to be the challenge.”

Jake reaches into his pocket with his free hand, never letting yours go. He pulls out a small box. Inside are what look like lockpick tools. He tries the door first. When it doesn’t open, he squeezes your hand one last time before letting it fall to your side. He gets to work on the door, and within seconds, you are slipping beyond it and into the church.

The interior is dark, aside from a few oil lanterns that hang from the walls. Their flames are dim as if someone is attempting to hide the glow from outsiders. A shiver runs through you as a bead of sweat trickles down your neck. You’re shaking with nerves. Jake turns to face you, pressing his finger against his lips. You take note that you should be careful and say nothing. You stand in the darkness, letting your eyes adjust to the dimness of the light. Jake’s hand slips around your waist in the darkness, pulling you close.

“I love you.” He breathes those three little words against your cheek before kissing it softly. “Please, never forget that.”

Your heart pounds in your chest. The overwhelming feeling of dread you’ve been pushing back overwhelms you in the darkness. With his command to stay silent, you oblige, but it makes the air heavy with things you wish you could say to him. You want to beg him not to throw away his life. You want to hold him close to you and never let go, but these are only wild wishes you may never see to fruition.

Jake starts to release you, but you grab his hand and pull him into you. You embrace him in silence, hoping he can hear the pounding of your heart and the worry in your thoughts. You cup his cheek and pull him close to you, pressing your lips against his. He deepens the kiss as if it were his last, forcing a swell of emotions to build in your chest. You fight for control of the kiss just as you’ve fought for control of this situation many times before. Your eyes are damp, but you ignore them as you tangle your hands in his thick, black hair.

When you finally part, you’re panting. Nerves of another sort well up inside you. You shake your body as if you dislodge the cobwebs from your mind and prepare yourself for what’s in store. You follow close behind Jake as he tiptoes through the building looking for a way up. You finally find a set of stairs, only accessible from a small office in the back of the building. After making quick work of the lock, Jake swings the door open and offers you his hand.

The stairs are crumbling in places, slick and made of stone. Your steps echo quietly as you make your way to the top. A crescendo of emotions welling inside of you. Fear for what you’ll find above. Are your friends there? Are they okay? Is this another trap?  

You release a breath you didn’t realize you were holding when you reach the first landing. Another winding set of stairs awaits. You peer out the stained-glass window for a moment, watching the people below. They seem so small and insignificant from here, but you know them as friends and family members of those you’ve come to love and care about. You cannot let this end with death.

You steady yourself and continue to make your way up the stairs at Jake’s back. His hand is almost uncomfortably warm in yours, but you don’t mind. Your palms at thick with sweat. If this were any other scenario, you’d be embarrassed, but you know there isn’t time for that. As you reach the top, there is one final door. Jake reaches for the knob and is turns without effort.

“It’s unlocked.” He whispers over his shoulder. “Are you ready?”

You nod once, and the door swings open.

Let's keep the Jack Darby hate train going. Ok honestly this is my dumb onion on humans in tfp/tf media in general: I know they're supposed to be there to be the anchor for the viewer but it's like... Most of the time humans being around feels like they either gotta be written like the Lois Lane to Superman always being that one thing that keeps the Autobots nerfed because "oh no muh human is in trouble!" or they get something special about them *cough* Jack *cough* to keep them relevant to the alien robots but end up feeling like those bad fanfics with a human OC who's the ✨certified badass✨. When I was writing chapter 26 I was trying so so so hard to prevent my hatred for Jack from infusing the story. This was especially hard during the scene where Starscream had to comfort Jack.

Like if I had 0.01% less self-control we would've gotten this literary masterpiece instead:

Starscream looked down at the humans in his palm. Surviving in the Sahara was hard enough while alone. But with three delicate fleshies in tow?

Jack blinked sluggishly and shook like a mildly frightened chihuahua. "I hate sand. It's rough and coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere."

Perhaps Starscream could lessen this load.

He dumped Jack's lame bitch-ass on the dune and then punted him into the sky. Starscream then strutted off with Miko and Raf still in his servos. There, better.

I like June and Fowler. I love how every time Fowler appears in the show and in Unburied he just starts off by shouting "P R I M E"

Raf is indeed on thin ice. I've seen some people say that "ohhhh well, Raf is more used to human computer systems, that's why he's better at hacking through them than Soundwave is"

But I don't think so, I think Soundwave could completely figure out our computer systems in like five seconds.

My headcanon is that the deaths of his casseticons have forced Soundwave off his A-game and that he still hasn't fully recovered from the grief. That's why Raf poses a threat to him--Soundwave isn't at his peak potential. If Soundwave was in full on Hackerman Mode then he would absolutely wipe the floor with that 12 year-old. It's the only explanation I can think of as to why Raf is an actual threat to the 'Cons.

If you wanna get really angsty with it maybe Raf reminds him of his casseticons and he feels like he's fighting against them when he fights against Raf.

I find it funny how the kids aren't relevant at all during the finale, probably the only thing about Predacons: Rising that I liked.
