Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
booktok cannot handle unfriendly or emotionally complex female characters. show them a woman who’s a little problematic and they start shaking and shitting themselves. women can be either be martyrs or victims, anything else and ppl short circuit. men can be fucked up emotionally manipulative mass murders but if women have one unpalatable emotion they’re drawn & quartered.
if booktok bitches saw the female characters i liked they would piss blood for a week !!!!
Someone from our world gets pulled into twilight, but not Bella and Edward era, but around 1860.
They wake up with era appropriate clothes, but still have their phone and similar things (better hide them)
They meet Jasper by chance, he’s gentleman and offers reader to stay with him as it’s dangerous to just wander around at night.
At some point, reader wakes up two years later. Not a coma, but just suddenly the time has passed.
They remember they have their phone, and have downloaded the twilight e-books.
The text has changed.
In Eclipse, Jasper tells Bella about his past. Now he isn’t with Alice, but he’s single and mentions a person that one day appeared in his life before he joined the army, and then disappeared without so much as a goodbye.
After realising the story changed, reader sees Jasper again, now part of the army.
They approach him, and we get a happy reunion, and a promise from Jasper to stay safe.
Then another two year time skip for reader, Jasper is now 19 and not sure if Jasper is already turned or not.
They check the books again, and his dialogue with Bella changed again.
Now he’s telling her how he met a person, they vanished, came back, and when he was turned he felt like he failed them since he didn’t stay safe like he promised.
I haven’t thought much further, but I’m really tempted to write this sometime.
Jane Austen: and here we have the love interest. He might have some issues, but once you get to know him, he's a great guy. Good looking, heart of gold, the works.
Charlotte Brontë: get ready for the weirdest man you have ever met.
i find it unreasonably funny when people hc raven listening to like sad emo rock or smth like that (honestly tbh it's so valid), when raven canonically is a swiftie.
and what's even better is the fact that dexter is also a swiftie and i think they both canonically sing a bit of enchanted together.
