So I get an email a few weeks ago from Tillamook, apparently years ago I had asked on their website if they could please considering making a havarti style cheese.
I might love cheese, just a bit.
I've been an avid admirer of them since I was a small thing in Alaska, in a rural town with one grocery store that carried mostly, yes Tillamook. This love followed me down the west coast and to every place I have ever lived, though it is harder to come by here.
Anyway, so I think great, they emailed me to alert me that this product is available so I can go forth and purchase it.
Oh no.
Not only did they keep insanely good records from what must be millions of submissions, they tell me I submitted in 2015, 8 years ago?! And I had forgotten by now. Of course. Not only do they want to tell me this cheese exists, they want to send me some.
I think great. I'm getting a coupon for free cheese and proceed to perform a not so short dance of getting all the cheese.
They ask for my address and tell me it will arrive within ten days, it does not.
I wait for 2 long weeks, checking every letter. It does not come. I give up all hope, assuming perhaps it was a scam or a fever dream.
Until today.
I received a full sized cooler box with not one but four packets of havarti cheese. To say I am in cheese heaven is an understatement.

I love it, what other company would ever? They not only exceeded, but shattered every expectation.
(If you haven't made a trip to their factory near the oregon coast, let me just say it is pure magic.)
And yes it is delicious, and it melts very, very well and I dearly hope I can find more to buy eventually because I am hooked.
Not that I wasn't before, I almost always have some of their cheddar on hand. If you haven't tried their cheese, you should, and if you have an idea for them, well, it might just pan out in copious amounts of free cheese.

Round 2
Propaganda:
Havarti
Havarti's deadname is Danish Tilsiter
Apparently very difficult to slice with a cheese knife
Ricotta
Shit load of different milk all mixed together
Looks a bit too soggy to be real cheese

havarti/unreasonable tav oc lore
Actual name :nakir
sibling: eldora/twin
age: late 20s early 30s
(ask me stuff about one of the tags)
(I did this at work shhh I know it’s got typos)
Neither he or eldora actually met their birth mother, she pissed off the wrong witch and got cursed with an unnatural hunger. Instead of cursing her it would up attaching to the baby.
She went to get cured and have the curse lifted however when it was pulled from one it concentrated on the other as they did not know they where twins.
The twins are fraternal and have separate fathers, as their mother worked brothel she didn’t know whose they could be, by the time they where four they where left out in field.
they don’t remember their birth mother only the giant woman who cared from them from inside a crumbling monastery.
she is an old deity long forgotten and has lost most of her power as she doesn’t have anyone to worship her anymore. children however love with all their heart and this allowed her to regain much of her power but only in a limited radius.
as they grew older they began to explore but didn’t socialize much as the town knew exactly who they where. Havarti was believed to be some kind of vampire as he wound up with long thin silver teeth, does in fact drink blood or eat raw meat. He also has an unusual voice.
depending on his mood it can sound like a small crowd down a long hallway or a massive mob in a wide chapel. It reverberates inside the head and chest of whoever he speaks to. So he mostly doesn’t speak, outside of his twin who got used to it and never thought it odd.
He doesn’t like hurting people and frightens easily, so he cries a lot whenever other people are around him. because of this. Eldora learned to defend him, she did this by learning as much as she could from all the left behind resources in the monastery, she fights like a monk.
a unique skill the two have rarely used is havartis ability to remove his heart and push it into eldora, she can carry it so he can run out and not die.
this naturally resulted in him saving someone or another and life sucking a little less after that. It’s only when life starts looking up that the nautili’s strikes and one of the twins is taken depending on the play through.
whoever is taken results in the other one chasing them down.
