It was a nice day for a picnic so you and koda decided to head off on your own picnic basket in hand and blanket whenever you needed a break from all the overwhelming attention from your classmates you always headed to this secret spot to clear your mind and to play and chat with the small animals

You placed your blanket while Kota placed the basket down taking a breath it smelled like freedom you endured the beautiful and quiet nature there was a lake nearby the pond just in case you felt like swimming everything was perfect quiet and peaceful

"I'm gonna go get something to drink and berries at the lake koda!" he nodded "B-be careful tho there are big predator birds that will mistake you as a snack," he said while taking out the food and his favorite book read you nodded and ran off into the "Safe" forest, you made it to the lake glazing how the fish gracefully swam into their destination and the frogs leaping catching the bugs you grabbed your basket and went deeper into the woods until you saw a blueberry and a shiny red raspberry bush you grabbed your basket and started picking them unaware that someone was watching you

A teen with yellow eyes with messy space buns was observing you watching every move that you made like a hawk waiting for it's prey she watched you were were picking berries off the bush and putting them in the basket while also eating some as well "that bunny look so cute! Oh she's gonna be my little pet when I catch her" the blonde carefully sneak up behind herb making sure she wouldn't make a noise when her hands was just hovering away from you She quickly snatched you up and threw you in the sag

You struggled and struggled to try to turn into your human form but it was no use you squealed in discomfort and fear while the girl tried cooing and hushing you like you were some baby "Shhh ahh it's ok! I won't hurt you at all just gonna take you to your new home" you panicked even more when she said that you tried struggling and struggling but it was no use you were trapped hearing crunching of the leaves and dirt the girl happily hummed satisfy with her catch

Kota was getting worried about your long absence you shouldn't be gone for that long he looked around hoping you would come back until a panicked bird flew quickly on Kota's finger chirping in distress and panic kota gently comforted the poor animal by stroking its feathers and body the bird was calmly panicked but calmed down "Now tell me what's the problem" he said quietly and gently the bird chirped a few times and kota was shocked

"im back!" toga happily skipped along inside the Bar twice happily waving to her and Dabi completely ignored her focusing on the drink Kurogiri gave him but Shiggy was furious "Toga how many times have I told you about going out, especially in the day WITHOUT A DISGUISE" he said while scratching his neck toga scoffed and paid attention to the bag and giggled "I'll be fine nobody saw me plus I got myself a goodie!" she said shaking a bag a little and out came a squeak everyone's attention turned to her now curious of what she brought

"Woah toga did you bring a living snack nice!" Twice said excitingly reaching to hold the bag but Toga blocked his hand "No it's a.." she reached into the bag and pulled out the helpless creature (aka you) "A bunny!!" she squealed petting the distressed bunny's soft fur until she heard a poof and you turned into your human version now everyone was shocked "I'm not a bunny you phyco im a human! Just with a bunny quirk" you angry said not pleased with the "Suprised adoption"

Everyone was speechless for a second still in shocked while Toga's eyes sparkled brightly "EEEEEEK IT A BUNNY HERO" she tackled you with a hug squeezing you very tight you could barely breath nuzzling her head on your ears

"Well look what we have here..." Shigaraki darkly chuckled slowly walking up to you and circling you while observing the little bunny trapped in the cage but Toga shielded you "No shiggy I want them as a pet!" "A PET?!?" you and everyone else yelled in shock "I don't wanna be some villain pet!" toga completely ignored you kept going "Please take good care I'll feed them wash they'll put them in pretty outfits I promise I won't even get as much blood promise!" she pleaded with shigaraki and Dabi looked at him and chuckled "I mean I pet wouldn't be bad plus once we break them they'll be kinda useful," Dabi said with an evil sly smile shigaraki thought for a second and decided his answer "Fine we'll keep them BUT if they pissed me off and start to cause trouble im killing the rodent" you gulped nervously while toga and twice cheered "I just wanted a nice picnic..."

"Guys! Guys!" Koda ran into the common room trying to catch his breath everyone stared at him in shock and looked to see where their bunny darling was "Kota kun! What happened where's y/n?!" Mina said her voice filled with worry "They were taken by Toga she took them to their lair!" Everyone was in a panic that their precious darling was stolen away from them they were beginning to plan to save them until Aizawa stepped in "Nobodys going nowhere im going to inform the pro heroes it's dangerous to do that anyway" the class tried protesting but Aizawa quickly shut that down immediately and all told them to go to bed upset they were they had to go to bed sad and enraged that they couldn't do anything

During your stay with the LOV wasn't even that bed honestly except for the constant cuddling and her dressing you up into frilly and girly dresses and outfits and putting so many bows and accessories on your hair but you tolerated it you made sure not to say any snarky remarks due to shigarakis warning toga would twirl you around and dance with you while twice joined in doing embarrassing dancing while toga laugh but gave you 2nd hand embarrassment dabi was annoyed like an older brother always picking on their little siblings enough to make them tell their parents teasing you about how your not getting out of here and picking on you pulling on your ears until you squeaked until toga came and comfort you while being scolded by her

Kurogiri Was kind to you whenever you had enough he would always tell Toga, twice and Dabi to back off a bit and make sure you were ok he would give you healthy and actual edible food then just fed carrots and grass all day so he was the most decent out of all of them in your opinion next was Magne was another decent one but was just like toga she was adored about your features always petting your hair she wouldn't try and force you into your bunny form like a toga but whenever she gets the chance she always pets and brushes your fur which you enjoyed it a bit

But all things had to come to an end when an explosion was heard and a large hole filled with pro-heroes police, Aizawa was here as well kurogiri quickly formed a portal for them to go inside everyone went but you struggled out of the togas strong gripped, and fall on the ground she called your name until the portal was closed good riddance, you were questioned by a bunch of police and pros and we're checked to see if you had any injuries or tracking devices they put it felt like hours until they finally let you go

When you got back from the dorms everyone crowded around you cheering for your return There were a bunch of hugs from everyone even Shoto formed a small smile but Bakugo lectured and yelled at you about being reckless and how you should be careful you were gifted with a lot of stuff and the girls invited you to a sleepover you wanted to complain but you were just glad you weren't with the LOV

Izuku's world crashed as he saw you flinch away from him, body trembling as your hands stayed close to your chest.

That's when he noticed that Full Cowling was activated. Horror shook Izuku to the core as he stared down at his activated quirk.

'Y-y/n I- I-" Izuku muttered, eyes tearing up as he looked at your shaking form.

"I-Izuku can you just- let me be alone please- I.. need some time alone."

Izuku shakingly nodded as he made his way to the kitchen, tears falling down his face as he slid to the floor, staring at his arm lividly.

After texting Izuku that you were going to a friend's house, you got your phone, wallet, and keys before heading over to your best friend's house; Mina Ashido.

Stepping out of the car you make your way to Mina's apartment, knocking on the door.

"Coming~!" Her cheerful voice called, already starting to calm you down.

As the door opened Mina immeditely noticed your mood and smiled at you knowingly, pulling you into her apartment before shutting her front door.

"Did you and Midoriya san get into a fight?" Mina asked, pulling you to her couch before heading towards the kitchen.

"Yeah.. I put myself in danger to help him and he got really mad, we argued and then his quirk set off- and I flinched. I wasn't scared of him per say, but I was frighted by the sudden appearance of his quirk.. I told him I needed to be alone, and then texted him that I was going to a friends' place." You whimper, snuggling into the decorative pillows of Mina's couch.

"Aww I'm sorry! Are you okay?"

"Yeah.. I just thought some space would be good and wanted to talk to a friend.."

"Well I'm all ears! Talk to me all you want~!"

"Thank you.. what are you doing in the kitchen by the way?"

"I'm making cookies for you~!" Mina giggled, causing you to genuiningly smile.

"You're too sweet." You smile, yawning at your sleepiness.

"You can go to sleep if you want to~. I'll put the cookies away. Well there's the couch, you'll always have a spot in the spare room, and if you want to you can sleep in my bed so you're a lot more comfortable."

"Thanks.. I'll just sleep here.. it's so cozy."

"Okay, sleep well~!"

"Mhmmm"

It was around two in the afternoon when you made your way back home, already feeling a lot better due to Mina's brightness and input.

Walking in, you were quite suprised to see Izuku asleep on the kitchen floor, tear stains marking his freckled cheeks.

Leaning down to his level, you shake him gently, not wanting him to be even more sore for work.

"Zuku baby, you need to get off the floor." You coo, brushing his fluffy hair away from his face before stroking his cheek lovingly.

"Five more minutes.." Izuku grumbled, causing you to giggle softly.

"Okay, you can sleep more but you need to get to bed, or the couch at the very least."

"Cuddles?"

"Yes cuddles!" You giggle, causing Izuku to peek up at you, looking up at your face through his lashes.

"Wait... last night I-"

"Shhh we can talk later."

"But-"

"Please, just cuddle me."

After your nap you both had a discussion about the argument, and talked about you risking your life civilly.

After figuring everything out you shared a long embrace, lots and lots of kisses, and close to a thousand 'I love you's.

Kalina Playlist Deep-dive

Kinda wanted to do a playlist deep-dive about all my Fantasy High playlists. If you want any more, I have playlists for all the Bad Kids, both Voxes, and I'm working on a Cassandra Playlist. Starting off with my baby girl, Kalina

ALICE:

I picture this as Kalina describing the fall of the Unnamed Goddess into the Nightmare King. A goddess of dreaming and doubt till she lost her mind, and her persona. Turned her forest into this idealization of what the Nightmare King represents.

Queen

Kalina's persona is this person manipulating everything in the background and several steps ahead of everyone. Also how the Bad Kids originally assumed she stole the crown to control the Nightmare King and be in power.

GRRRLS

Kalina's ideology is about taking control to bring back the Nightmare King by any means necessary. Not wanting people to look too closely into her.

&

It's like how Kalina always gives options when speaking to the Bad Kids, especially Riz. Also how each option and the tone get more threatening overtime. Also "They took a lesson from their fathers" connects to Riz and how she killed Pok.

The Mind Electric

I honestly don't remember why I added this? Vibes? Maybe it's another example of her trying to control Riz and the Bad Kids, taunting them and making them face their fears? Yeah, that's it, why not?

Achilles Come Down

Goes against my Kristen Playlist which has this same song. This is Kalina and Kristen deciding what Cassandra is going to be in FHSY. Kalina is the deeper voice and Kristen is the kinder one.

Church

Kalina's loyalty to Cassandra and more religious imagery for her connection to Cassandra. Plus the line "Time capsule for the future, trust me that is what I'll be" is how she lives on for the Unnamed Goddess as the plague for her to live. Also "Oh the things that you do in the name of what you love, you were doomed but just enough" is her talking about how her goddess was doomed by her followers, the people who loved her. Also, the second section of the song says "Got a few more fake friends" showing her connections over the years she keeps at arm's distance like Pok Gukgak.

Child of Ashes

I picture this as Kalina singing to the Bad Kids, willing to show them mercy as long as they back off this case.

Hawk in the Night

I see this as her talking to Riz because she is still close to him. She's his godmother, she wants to see him grow strong but it's not the best advice.

You Stabbed Me in My Sleep

My Love is Sick

Kalina is literally a plague, what can I say? Just kidding, it's that and all the religious imagery. The loyalty to the person is like Kalina's loyalty to Cassandra in all her forms. Plus I love Madds Buckley so much. <3

Ghost

Kalina's abilities appear and disappear, along with taunting the Bad Kids and messing with them on their journey. Her confidence, knowing they hate her and why right before the bridge. Plus during the Bridge where the artist says "Why don't you just leave me alone" I see Riz and other Bad Kids begging her to stop with this, stop messing with them.

It Took Me By Suprise

Her being is surprised that the BKs didn't back off, especially Riz after taunting him and seeing the anger in their eyes... thats it...

That Unwanted Animal

How I picture Kalina sees herself. She cares for Cassandra in every form and tries her best to take care of her. When the "Unnamed Goddess" sacrifices herself to be the Nightmare King, Kalina becomes the "Unwanted Animal".

Little Big Boy

Specifically for Fabian, when she makes him stab the Hangman and jump into the ocean.

Take Me To Church

Another song with religious notes to show her dedication to Cassandra and illness notes for her being a literal plague Sophomore Year.

Another song is about Kalina sacrificing herself, and her identity to keep her Goddess alive, to bring her back. Sacrificing her livelihood, and her well-being to bring back the Nightmare King.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World

Final boss music and the end describes the battlefield of "Spring Break I Believe in You" where there is no light coming through the forest, the stairs and ruins where the battle is old and decrepit. "When they do I'll be right beside you, so glad we almost made it" is her speaking to herself/the Nightmare King as she brings them back to life.

Panic Room

Another song about the Nightmare King's Forest and how Kalina and the Nightmare King shaped the forest to have the deepest fears of the Bad Kids.

Shoshone National Forest Fire Lookouts (compared to Firewatch game locations)

One of the more interesting things about my story research, and by extension the game of Firewatch itself, is that all of the lookouts in the game are fake. In the game, you have the Two Forks tower and the Thorofare one. You also have a Moss Peak lookout and a Spruce lookout listed at the supply drop. The map lists a Chimmney Peak lookout as well on the adjacent regions section, and it isn't too much of a stretch to assume that some of the other adjacent regions also have lookouts even if the word "lookout" isn't attached to the name. There's an abandoned cabin called Hawks Rest lookout. That's a lot of lookouts!

But none of those exist, or seem to have ever existed, in real life in Shoshone National Forest. Of course, that in itself is not too suprising--most of the other locations on the game map don't exist in real life either. Oh, the names are inspired ("Thunder" canyon, "Waipiti" meadow, "Beartooth" point) but the actual geographic features on the game map do not exist. There is no Jonesy lake, for example. It's a fictional setting created around a real life profession, of course it isn't referencing real locations. But there are tons of details in the game that are true to life.

There is a real Thorofare area. It's also an 85 mile backpacking route. More photos of the Thorofare area here. Gorgeous place, btw.

There is also a real fork in the Yellowstone River, splitting into an South Fork and an North fork. Inspiration for "Two Forks" as a name? Perhaps. It's not listed on the map above because I haven't zoomed in far enough, but the fork happens where the upper left flat area is.

There is a real "Hawk's Rest" location. (Game versus google images)

This cropped part of the game map is low resolution, but the adjacent regions listed to the Two Forks district are: Red Tops, Thorofare, Spruce, Crescent Mountain, Moss Peak, Ramshorn Peak, Chimmney Rock, and Irish Rock. Now looking on the map, what do we find in close proximity? These locations:

Ramshorn, Red Tops, Crescent Mountain, Irish Rock. The others might exist too (I swear I saw Chimmney Rock on another day) but I just didn't find it while making this post. It's hard to show in my screenshots, since these names only pop up when I'm really zoomed in, but all of these are in fairly close to each other on the map.

Most of the above mountains and real place names that correspond to the game Firewatch are located roughly in the red circle area. Some of the places are partially in Bridger-Teton National Forest instead. In road terms, the game seems to take place between HWY 14 out of Cody, WY and HWY 26 out of Dubois, WY.

Okay, so what about fire lookouts? Let's see the real life ones of Shoshone National Forest!

....well, there aren't that many. In fact, you can see a huge 'ol gap in same area as the spot I circled in the above map, which is where the locations in Shoshone match up to locations in the game. What's up with that? I'm not sure. Most of the lookouts on this map are either in Yellowstone, Teton, the Wind River Reservation, or Bridger-Teton National Forest.

In Shoshone National Forest, past or present, there is: Pinnacle Butte Lookout (no info), Warm Spring Mountain Lookout (gone), Blue Ridge Lookout (gone), Hunter Peak Lookout (gone), Windy Mountain Lookout (gone), and the Clay Butte Lookout (STILL STAFFED! but as a visitor information site.) The closest to the game site is Clayton Mountain Lookout, which is not present on the map above but in other former lookout registries I checked. It is gone as well.

None of these match anything in the game. They're either located on the far south finger of the Shoshone NF in the Wind River Range, or in the far north part near the Montana border. Most are gone, and were gone well before the late 80s when the game was set. Most don't even have photos attached. There was a total of 7 lookouts present in Shoshone National Forest total. The game Firewatch suggests 5 minimum lookout locations, and one former location, just in that small area of the national Forest. In the universe of Firewatch, I wonder how many total lookouts existed in other parts of this vast national forest?

I don't know if there's a point to this post, except that I find it quite interesting how the game incorporated real life names and locations into it, while still picking an area with relatively few lookouts ever present. And why is there so few lookouts in this area? Compared to the 900+ that existed in the neighboring Idaho? I'm not sure. That's a research question for another time.

Shoshone National Forest has the sights (beautiful location), the history (first ever national forest established; location of a wildfire that changed the trajectory of wildland firefighting history), and is adjacent to Yellowstone in a way that allowed the Yellowstone fires of 1988 to be incorporated into the storyline. But it is NOT the site of a rich fire lookout history, unfortunately.

Snippets of the Monkey couples ( @journey-to-the-au )

So I come baring this fluff as an apology for the angst I had written before. I would have done it sooner, but irl responsibilities got in the way, unfortunately. Just basically three short stories of our lovely monkey couples!

Chestnut looked up at the tree from where she stood under it. A basket in hand as she watched Ba pick fruits, she had asked if she could help him. But he turned her down, stating he could get them himself.

So now Chestnut watched, holding the already gathered fruits he obtained. She didn't say much, but every unbalanced wobble he tried to hide had her watching him like a hawk.

"Last one." Ba said as one hand held onto a branch above his head. As he walked along another, his prize was a peach just barely out of his reach.

Chestnut bit her lip nervously before finally speaking up, eyeing the branch he just stepped onto. "Ba, be careful, I think that branch is a little unstable."

"I'll be down in a second." Ba smiled as he grabbed the peach, leaning forward too much. "It's fine, see." He said while turning back around on the branch. Not even a second later, a loud snap of said branch rang through the forest. A screech of suprise came from Ba, the shock of suddenly not having something under his feet made his hand slip.

Thankfully, a bush under him caught his dissent, saving him from colliding with the solid ground. "Ba! Are you ok!" Chestnut called immediately, running to his side. The monkey looked over the other, sighing in relief when she noticed nothing broken or out of place.

After the initial shock, he turned to look at her before replying, holding the peach out to her as he spoke. "Peachy."

All Chestnut could do was just facepalm, hiding her own little smile as he snickered at his own pun. She took the peach before gently pulling him up to sit right. "Anything hurts?"

"Just my pride." Ba said, allowing Chestnut to help pull him up to a sitting position, as he winced, and a soft curse came from his lips. "And maybe my tail a little, dang it, it was a good day too."

Ba lowered his head as Chestnut began to pick out the twigs and the leaves. "Maybe we should talk to Beng?"

"No," Ba said with a shake of his head. "He and Liu are on the other side of the mountain patrolling."

Chestnut just frowned before speaking again. "Ok, how about we hang out in the hot springs and eat our fruit there, then?"

Ba thought for a moment before nodding a small smile and a blush at her words. She had remembered the off handed comment he made about the heat helping the pains. "Yea, that could work."

Chestnut nodded with a smile before turning to see the basket holding their fruit tipped over. It didn't take long for them to gather up the fruit and make their way to the hot springs. A few monkeys called out to the pair in greeting when they arrived.

Chestnut and Ba soon cuddled up halfway in the water, feeding the other fruit as contentedness washed over them.

Ma made her way to a small cave hidden and off to the side in Waterfall Curtain Cave. It was way past midnight, and Beng still hadn't returned to their nest. The monkey could only assume he was focused on his herbs. Her hand traced the line of the cave as she walked, following the familiar path.

"Hey Beng, are you -" her voice immediately cut off at the sight before her. Shock slowly turned into a soft giggle as she approached Beng. Who was currently sleeping, a few bottles and containers holding herbs were strung about him.

As Ma got closer, she reached forward and started to caress the side of his cheek that wasn't smushed into the rock he was using as a table. He hummed and shifted to hid his face more into his arms, causing Ma to continue to scratch his scalp gently with her fingers

"Beng, you have to get up. I can't move you if you're still sleeping," Ma said into his ear as she took her other hand to shake him. All she got in reply was a small mumble of five more minutes from him. She chuckled before adding a little louder this time. "Also, you'll probably not be too happy if I put away your herbs, I know you have a system, and I don't want to touch anything without you knowing"

Beng just snorted softly as he slowly woke up, opening his eyes, tired blue irises came into focus on Ma's face. "Hey there, sleepy head." Ma said with a soft smile on her face.

"Hi." He mumbled softly as he sat up, rubbing his eyes in the process. "What time...?" He asked as he fully turned to Ma, too tired to finish his sentence.

Said Marshal had to stop the laugh that came to her lips, the sight of a few leaves of herbs stuck to the side of his face. The other just looked at her in confusion before reaching up to feel them. His confusion turned deadpan, and Beng just rolled his eyes as he flicked them off his face.

Ma then calmed herself down enough to speak again. "Let me help put these away because you look like you're about to fall asleep again. Just tell me where to put them. You can always fix it later, "

Beng looked at what he had out before nodding slowly, Ma following his tired instructions as he also worked to put stuff away. After everything was put away, Ma gently took his hand and tugged him out of the herb cave. "Come on, big guy, sleep time."

Beng followed Ma, leaning on her gently as they walked. The pace was slow as they made their way back to their nest, and when they finally reached it, Beng all but collapsed into it. Ma just shook her head before fixing the nest up around him as it was a little displaced.

She was halted in her ministrations as Beng grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the nest with him. "Ok ok I'm coming." She said with a soft laugh. He said nothing as he pulled her under him and laid back down, effectively trapping her. Ma just laughed as she ran her fingers through his hair. Not really grooming but, just playing with his fur.

It wasn't long he fell asleep again, soft mumbled words past his lips almost sounding like a thank you, it wasn't long Ma soon followed him into sleep.

Rin Rin hand was held tight in Liu's as he led the way, her eyes were closed shut, keeping where they were going a secret. The trek wasn't long and finally came to a stop. "You can open your eyes now." Liu said, letting go of her hand.

She slowly opened her eyes before her eyes widened at the sight. A small flower field spead acrossed a clearing, one she lost to flooding a few months ago and one she maintained since she was little. She turned to him, small tears prick her eyes. "How?"

Liu smiled and rubbed the back of his neck, "I had to ask some help from Willow, since she remembered most of the flowers you used to have in your field and she taught me a little more on how to take care of them. And WuKong helped in making sure it doesn't flood again." Liu explained a soft blush on his cheeks.

He remembered the day the mountain experienced a heavy rainfall, and most of the monkeys had taken shelter inside Watefall Curtain Cave or under cover around the mountain. When it finally subsided, Liu heart broke at the sight of barely concealed tears Rin Rin had not even a few hours later.

The once beautiful field now was reduced to a mini lake, and Liu just knew he had to bring it back. He worked in small intervals after his patrols and outpost shifts, so he didn't tip off anyone, especially Rin Rin, but it proved fruitless after just a week. WuKong had grown curious to where his Marshal was going and followed him to see him elbow deep in dirt, trying to level out the clearing.

The king said nothing and joined the other. With his help, it was easier to get the dirt where it needed to be. It wasn't long after Liu asked Willow for help in getting the correct flowers needed to remake the field. The celestial was overjoyed to help, teaching him how to plant them as well as care for them.

Liu was jolted from the memeory as Rin Rin collided with him for a hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, my brave love!" Her voice was loud and excited.

Liu just smiled as he returned the hug gently pressed and gentle kiss to her forehead. "Anything for you, my moonlight."

A soft blush appeared on her face at the nickname, but her eyes sparkled in pure joy. She backed away from the hug and tugged him forward with a squeal. Liu smiled as she dragged him to each flower, knowing he'd do anything to keep that smile on her face.

you and your friend both stopped turning at the sound of your name being called.

omg it's him.

eddie munson, the object of your affection for quite a while now. was it weird to be one of the top cheerleaders to have such a massive crush on the school loser outcast? probably, but its not like you cared with the way he was leaned back against his locker, slightly sweaty, and looking far sexier than he had any right to be.

sarah rolled her eyes next to you, shoving your shoulder. you'd been on the way to cheer practice when eddie had grabbed your attention. so what if you were a little late- the team could survive without you. you waved her off.

eddie willed the blush from his face as you tilted your head, twirling your hair. god you were so fucking cute.

"yeah?" you said sweetly.

he tried to discreetly wipe the sweat of his hands off on his jeans, not like you'd notice. you'd been friends for too long, he didn't wanna mess this up.

"uh, yeah" eddie cleared his throat. get it together. "yeah y/n, i was wondering if you'd wanna catch a movie with me-"

"okay!" eddie would've almost thought you were joking with how quickly you agreed but seeing you nod eagerly and the biggest grin he's over seen overtake your features; well he couldn't help but swoon a little. "when and where?" you asked.

you two had never gone to the movies together and although you didn't know a lot he could tell you knew he meant as a date.

he barely registered sarah's scoff as he tried to get his thoughts together as fast as possible before you could change your mind. "there's uh- this new film that just came out playing at the hawk. little shop of horrors i think. some kinda funny, scary, musical thing. or something." real smooth munson.

not hearing the impatient tapping of sarah's sneakers, you eyes widened as you giggled. "oh my god i've been wanting to see that! i love scary movies."

"really? uh, wow, me too." eddie was suprised. he didn't think you were the type to like horror but you didn't seem to be lying. if he was honest with himself he'd realise he didnt even know if you were capable of lying. "there's actually a showing in almost an hour if you wanna go."

"yeah okay!"

"uh not okay," sarah spoke up from behind you. you turned to find her, arms crossed with a deep frown. oh. you had forgotten she was there. "we have cheer practice like right now! coach is gonna kill you if you skip, not to mention regionals are coming up!"

sarah usually annoyed eddie but right now he swore he hated her as watched your mouth turn down into such a kissable pout. he was overthinking all the ways you might come to your senses and refuse to go out with him period, or even be his friend anymore. he was too in his head to realise you had stepped over to him until you were wrapping your arm around one of his.

his head snapped to you as you weakly coughed once, twice. "actually sarah-"

"dont you fucking dare!"

after you and bf!sapnap announced your relationship, you went on a small tour. it was super cute to all of your fans because you two would be seen around the city you were performing in. or when you posted something about being in that city, he was in the background or in your photo creds.

a lot of your fans wanted him to come out on stage for one of your songs. specifically, one of the ones you openly said was written for him. or one that he helped write!

bf!sapnap did post pictures from each of your concerts, dont get it twisted. whether it was backstage as you were getting ready and/or doing warm-ups or from the audience in an area people didn't know he was in. until they heard him screaming about you being amazing.

so, at your last concert, everyone was looking around for him like a venue full of hawks. it even got to the point where people started chanting his name. the memebers of your team thought it was so funny. the security in front of the stage looked around at each other, very confused by why they weren't chanting the name of the actual person performing. you had to come out and break the news to the audience.

"okay, guys, before we start, i know you want nick here," you started, looking around sadly. "but he couldn't make it today. something came up."

everyone in the crowd made noises of discontent at your words. you nodded solemnly with them, then you heard someone distantly call out: "bullshit! bring your man out here!!"

you laughed at that as the rest of the venue did as well, "guys, i really wish he was here too! but he's been at every show, so it's fine." you shrugged, proceeding to start the show.

bf!sapnap back stage thought it was really funny how the mood changed quickly through the venue. it made him feel happy as well, knowing that your fans wanted to see him as much at they wanted to see you. maybe even a little more than you.

when you came backstage for the intermission, bf!sapnap was there watching you drink water and cool down for a bit. he had to steal a few kisses. before and after you applied a new lip colour.

you got to the point right before your last two songs, and you had to make your exit speech.

"thank you guys so much for coming out! I really hope you enjoyed the show. we're gonna finish this with two more songs that you guys-"

you let out a scream at the feeling of two arms wrap around you and swooping you up and spinning around with you. the crowd started screaming when you were set down and saw bf!sapnap kissing you deeply. you whined into the kiss, glaring at him when he pulled away.

you let out a huff, putting the microphone to your mouth, "you weren’t supposed to come out yet! you had a cue!"

he chuckled breathily, smiling at you widely before he took the microphone from you. "you just looked so pretty, baby," the crowd erupted in screams. he turned to the rest of the crowd, "and i had to say hi to everyone else! how about we get this shit started?"

bf!sapnap who sang all the high notes in your songs, basically stealing the show. he had such a stage presence, singing to you and hopping around the stage. he kissed you so much the whole time, and the videos people posted after were captioned with 'i feel like we were interrupting something'.

Grunting, Dabi grabbed your wrist, tugging you toward him. "Cuddles.." he pouted, causing you to giggle.

Slipping next to him, you try to ignore the unbearable heat that surrounds you as Dabi throws his entire body over you.

"Can you just.. talk- until I fall asleep?" Dabi muttered, causing you to smile whole-heartedly.

Suprised by Dabi's sudden vulnerabiliy, you resist the urge to tease him incase he decided to ignore you for it.

"Hmmm? What about I sing to you instead?" You ask, carding your hands through Dabi's hair- ignoring the sweat for your beloved.

Taking Dabi's silence as a yes, you suddenly remember the song your parent/guardian used to sing to you whenever you were sick. Clearing out your throat, you start to softly sing.

"What are you-"

After a few seconds of silence you tug at Dabi's hair playfully, causing him to hiss in -dramatized- pain.

"What the-"

"I was singing, and you interupted me." You pout, causing Dabi to scoff affectionatly.

After a few more moments of silence Dabi suddenly pushed his leg into yours. "Well keep going.."

Giggling softly, you re-adjust to get more comfortable before continuing.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur~"

Hawks

Oh boy does he love it.

The first time you sung to him he almost died.

As soon as you stop he is begging you to start again.

"Y/n/n~ please~ I'm gonna die without your angelic voice- Baby Bird~!"

Even after he's better he now wants you to sing it- or anything else really- to him every night.

Though he's not really supposed to- he calls you in the middle of the night when he's on missions just so you can sing to him.

He gets really really pouty if you either can't or refuse to sing to him, and he'll even ignore you if you really hurt his feelings.

Even all of your love, hugs, apologizes, and even kisses- Hawks' favorite thing in the world- won't make it better.

If you want your bird back, you gotta sing to him.

And he doesn't care if you're self conscious, he'll convince you that you have a gorgeous voice- because you really do- and he'll fill you up with so much confidence that you want to sing to him.

Oh and if anyone dares say a single bad thing about your voice, they're getting a feather following them for weeks, making sure that they have terrible luck..

Smiling, you kiss Hawks' forehead before making sure he was tucked in. Looking down at him, your smile grew sweeter at his love-sick look he loved to give you.

"Okay.. but don't take too long."

"I'll be right back my love." You promise, kissing Shoto's lips.

At this point you didn't even care if you got sick, you just wanted to comfort him.

Rushing off to get him some Tylenol and a wet rag, you hurry back with a new idea circling your brain.

"Here you go baby, this will help with your headache, and this should help tone down your fever." You smile, caring for your beloved tenderly.

After Shoto was settled down you slipped into bed, getting comfy before you gesture for Shoto to scramble ontop of you.

Finally, Shoto was comfortably laying across you, face buried into your chest to breathe in your comforting smell. Grinning, you hold the rag up to his forehead, not even batting an eye at the uncomfortable feeling.

"Please keep singing.. I really like it." Shoto whispered, causing your heart to melt.

You continued to softly sing to him until he was dead asleep, and even past then- until you fell asleep as well.

You yawned, not really noticing any kind of acknowledgment from Tama besides his slight shift in movement.

It was when you were drifting off to sleep when you realized that Tamaki was getting really fidgety- which usually meant that he wanted something, but didn't know how to express it. Smiling, you decide to start singing. Pure adoration filled your chest as Tamaki's fidgeting stopped and he simply stayed still, chests pressed against one another's and limbs entangled.

"C'mon dabi pleaseeee" you say grabbing his arm pointing at the haunted house that was covered in spider webs and ghosts.

Dabi groaned "Fine." He said and grabbed your hand you where now grinning ear to ear as you both walked up to the door swinging it open clapping with glee as it was covered in decorations.

You slowly started walking down the hall and a clown popped out making you jump but dabi just rolled his eyes. You where now clutching to his side scared as y'all contuined fake blood was on the floor but was it fake? You didn't know so you kept your eyes closed letting dabi guide you out.

"Told you this was a bad idea" he said and you just shivered opening your eyes staring at him. He glared at the house and lit it up in flames. "there nothing can get you now"

Hawks

"Come on baby bird" hawks said as he was on his knees grabbing the ends of your coat. "Let us go in there pleaseeeee" He said pointing to the haunted house that you where terrified of. You groaned "Fine!" Hawks grinned and got up kissing your cheek and dragging you in there with him. He smiled like a four year old child as he walked in with you clapping at all the jump scares as you just closed your eyes not looking at him or your surroundings as he gladly guided you through. Once you go to then end he looked at you suprised "oh baby bird I'm sorry I didn't know you where scared!" He said kissing your head making you embarrassed.

Izuku

Poor little izuku didn't want to go in either. "I don't wanna go..." You mumbled at the Halloween festival as you stood infront of a haunted house clutching to izuku's side. "I don't either...." Izuku mumbled back. "Wanna play festival games?" Izuku asked instead and you nodded.

Shigraka

He stood rolling his eyes as he pulled you along ingoring your complains about not wanting to go. "You'll be fine I'll kill them if you get to scared" he stated as y'all walked into the dark building. The house inside was creepy and you shut your eyes clutching at there side and jumped a little things. He made sure to destroy what made you scared and in the end you kissed him as you where terrified.

A Lyrical analysis of Jet The Hawk's theme "Catch Me If You Can" (Sonic Riders Zero Gravity remix)

(The lyrics are going to be in bold and slanted for easier understanding)

"No turning back We are born to dream In a world full of seeing What we never could reach"

Using the context of the second game, this first part is a reference to the ancient babylonians and how they waited for their engine parts to descend to earth. They witnessed so many shooting stars hoping that one day they'll find their engine parts to go back home. "Air time makes on the wind, I'd be Like life, right by Just a blur you see"

Hints of the first game can still be seen in this remix since "Air time" refers to one of Sonic Rider's core mechanics. It is also a general reference to how their Extreme Gear rely on air and how they are very fast.

"One mind, too wild Stuck in divinity Hawk tail, wing, claw Heaven sent a jessy A speed rush tweak To a melancholy victory Your chance, don't stand"

"One mind, too wild" can refer to how Jet is very egotistical, (but loveable) crazy kid and how he undeniably has a one track mind. "Stuck in divinity" HAS to be a reference to the Divine Wings, for those who aren't in the know, the Divine Wings also known as Babylon Garden is the Babylon Rouges/Babylonian spaceship that Jet and the other's rouges ancestors once inhabited. The lyric "Hawk tail, wing, claw" are all tricks in Sonic Riders. (thanks magical-pun-girl for telling me)

"Heaven sent a jessy" A jessy is an actual skateboarding trick and since the extreme gear (specifically the hoverboard-motif extreme gears) have a striking resemblance to skateboarding. Also, in Sonic Riders there's a trick you can do named jessy.

"A speed rush tweak" reminds me of the level Nightside Rush but I think thats just a coincidence. Again, correct me if I'm wrong but tweak might also be another trick you can do in the original Sonic Riders.

"Your chance, don't stand" Is pretty obvious, Jet and his gang are gonna beat you!

"Not one near My class of heat The rule of the wind Is to never get beat"

This whole portion just proves Jet's competitivity. He doesn't believe anyone will surpass him so when Sonic does occasionally, he is suprised.

"Don't hedge, don't hog You're put to test Like Jet, as hawk I'll rattle your nest"

The funny wordplay never ceases to make me smile. Most of the corny lyrics aside, "I'll rattle your nest" is another bird reference. 💚

"I never come down I'm high alone Bred from a genie With wings and throne"

Jet is always up in his head and constantly pushes away and belittles his teammates, you can tell that in his theme with the lyrics "I never come down, I'm high alone". It can also be how he loves to be in the sky and fly around with no one else on his mind.

"Bred from a genie with wings and throne" Is a reference to how the Rouges ancestors are genies and birds, including Jet's responsibility with being the air (no pun intended) passed from generation to generation.

"Jet-fire hawk The sky is me All for the speed I was born to be Born to be Born to be"

The word "Jet-fire" could be a another reference to Jet's name and his extreme gear. And for the rest, it showcases how Jet was born to be the leader of the Babylon Rogues.

"Catch me if you can There's no turning back Reach but never catch Catch me if you can You can't fathom that Wonders you can't have"

The lyrics "Wonders you can't have" could refer to the rogues being world renowned thieves. Meanwhile, the rest of the lyrics show Jet's and the rogues eagerness.

"Catch me if you can Catch me if you can No turning back We are born to dreamIn a world full of seeing What we never could reach

Air time makes on the wind, I'd be Like life, right by Just a blur you see

One mind, too wild Stuck in divinity Hawk tail, wing, claw Heaven sent a jessy

"Chaos in the emeralds Life is ephemeral What'cha gonna do? Nothing's perpetual"

This part showcases Jet's "life is short so I'll do what I want when I feel like it" attitude. "Chaos in the emeralds" Not only sounds cool, but is an obvious reference to the chaos emeralds.

"World domination Advanced technology Haven't got the interest In that form of glory"

This portion is a reference to Jet's dialogue in Sonic Riders "I haven't the slightest interest in world domination or advanced technology." This is also another showcase of Jet's selfish desires.

"Put me in the air And my speed will leave All in a shine Like a miracle weave"

This whole section just shows how much Jet loves riding, how he weaves through the air as his board shines. 💚

"I just won't stop The treasure's with me I said it before I was born to be"

You can feel Jet's devotion to being a thief and his confidence radiating off him with this part.

"Catch me if you can There's no turning back Reach but never catch Catch me if you can You can't fathom that Wonders you can't have Catch me if you can We are born to dream Nothing can't be done

Catch me if you can There's no turning back Reach but never catch You can't fathom that Wonders you can't have Catch me..."

Like stated earlier, The lyrics "We are born to dream" are about how the Babylonians dreamed of going back home and how Jet, Wave and Storm are all born into the Babylon species.

They don't really hurt that much but the image of the needle slowly being pushed into his skin gives him a MAJOR ick- even if he looks away he KNOWS that it's happening and he can just barely feel it it makes him so🤢🤢🤢 But hey at least Lucky is there to hold his hand☺️ (and possibly tease him a little bit afterwards)

Lucky took a while for me to pick, at first I wanted him to be a golden retriever specifically I wanted him to have floppy ears. Then I remembered lucky isn't blonde, so I considered him being a German Shephard instead, then a golden retriever/German Shephard mix breed, then a beagle, then a beagle/German Shephard mix, then I finally landed on Shiba inu solely because I wanted him to have a cute curly tail😊😊😊 maybe he can still be mixed with a German Shephard, no reason other than it feels right (for the fluff au at least)

I think it would be really easy to make Captain a wolf- which is why I'm NOT DOING THAT ACTUALLY‼️‼️‼️‼️ I like the thought of Captain being a hawk, specifically a ferruginous hawk cuz that's the largest species :3 (can you imagine how wide captains wingspan is going to be in order to support all of him?! Like realistically, if I was in there with them and not a viewer who understands themes and satire, I'd slap all the s1-3 dudes and Charles, and from a viewer perspective Mulcahy gets a slap for supporting the army and encouraging kids to go fight, Potter for everything, Margaret for all her army worship, BJ for the psychological warfare episodes and Period of Adjustment, Radar for being so painfully naive and annoyingly earnest, and Klinger... okay Klinger gets off scott-free lol, he makes some annoying mistakes sometimes but the only undeservedly mean thing he ever does is Joker is Wild, which I can forgive.

Meiko lived with her boyfriend in the village of Jupiter in the Solar Kingdom,going through knight training at the academy there. She excelled in her classes and graduated top of her class.

(Basically I have a castle AU idea,and this is what happens before the actual main story begins)

She was selected not only to be a knight,but to be Queen Solaria's personal daytime bodyguard. She was ecstatic to get such a prestigious and high-paying position as a knight! So her and her boyfriend moved to the village of Mercury,the capital of the Kingdom,and the village where the castle had been built. Or rather,the village had been built around the castle. It sat straight in the middle of the village,it's shining gold crystal walls standing tall and proud.

But... Right before Meiko's first day,her boyfriend left her... She was obviously upset,but kept high spirits for her job.

On the last day of her first week,she got sick right there in the throne room. She apologised profusely,offering to clean the vomit,but the queen sent her home immediately with wishes of good health.

Two weeks later,she made a shocking discovery... Her ex had gotten her pregnant... But she couldn't tell the queen! She would get relieved of her duties for sure... She didn't want to lose the job she spent years training for,so she hid it.

As her stomach grew larger,Meiko was running out of options,but fortunately,the harsh harsh winter rolled around just in time,meaning she could wear a large,thick coat over her armor and remove the piece that was to cover her stomach. Nobody would know unless she removed the coat.

She kept it up for months,and the royal advisor,Gakupo was starting to think that something was up with her. The queen noticed Meiko's paranoia but brushed it off as cabin fever,as Meiko found Gakupo to be a little annoying from time to time.

One day,Solaria had left her gold necklace in the armoury when checking on the equipment. Meiko was sent to fetch it,and when she got there,nobody else was around,so she decided to take a moment to remove her coat and stretch out a little. She then heard a voice behind her. She turned around to see Gakupo standing in the doorway,looking rather shocked.

She threw the coat back on and begged him not to tell anyone,Gakupo took pity on her after she explained her story,and promised not to speak a word about it unless the queen asked him explicitly if Meiko was pregnant. (Gakupo supports single mothers 👍)

Meiko thanked him and returned the necklace to the queen. She went home that night and rested easy knowing that her secret was safe.

She was awoken at some ungodly hour of the morning to labour pains,and sent her trusty pet hawk,Talon to fetch a midwife. Saying that the midwife was suprised to be helping someone who was borderline royalty would be an understatement.

All through the night,Meiko suffered through the contractions,and still was by morning. By the time she was supposed to be at work,she was still waiting until it was safe to push.

A knock on the door sounded,and the midwife went to go answer it.

To say that the midwife was shocked to see actual royalty at the door would be an understatement. Solaria had walked all the way to Meiko's house,Gakupo in tow.

Meiko almost cried when Solaria walked into her bedroom with the midwife.

Surprisingly,though,Solaria sat down next to Meiko and took her hand. Solaria loved Meiko. She had actually become rather fond of her,and although she didn't feel like Meiko felt the same,she saw Meiko as a friend,instead of just a bodyguard. Solaria held her hand and gave Meiko encouragement during the rest of the process.

Gakupo stood there awkwardly,just patting Meiko's head stiffly...

He had to see parts of her he never wanted to see...

Meiko soon gave birth to her wonderful daughter,Sakine... The queen gave her one month paid leave,and paid a sitter/wet nurse to come by every day when Meiko wasn't home.

Meiko was glad she had not been fired,and was suprised that Solaria wasn't even mad. When she asked why,Solaria stated that back when her father ruled the kingdom,she had gotten pregnant from a man she was dating,and when her father found out,he was furious. He threatened to disown her. Solaria had suffered a miscarriage,but saw herself in Meiko when she saw her laying on that bed,helpless and scared of the consequences for something that should be joyous and worth celebration.

Meiko was glad that things turned out good for her. And her life was about to get even better when she received a mission to go pick up a certain pink haired woman and her newborn daughter from a nearby village... But that's a story for next time. That's Luka's story... Which I will probably write soon... Maybe not,tho idk I procrastinate too much...
