“and I break down, then he’s pullin’ me in In a world of boys, he’s a gentleman”
Tumblr media
Clink, clink, that’s what our champagne glasses sounded like together.
“Congratulations, what a wonderful year. It’s been a pleasure being with all of you.” Sergio, Checo Perez, made a brief goodbye to your team.
He was leaving Red Bull. Everyone here loved him, and loves him, including yourself. He became quickly your family after seeing him every day for more than 3 years.
“We will miss you” your dad palms his back, making Checo break a smile.
“It isn’t the end yet, you know that boss.” He laughed.
His reasons? Family, everything for him, he couldn’t bare leaving them anymore alone, so he decided after, several years, to leave formula 1. After helping Max to win his championships, he is a fucking legend.
“Well, I won’t leave you alone, I will still drag you everywhere, you know? Even after you leave.” Max and Checo have developed a very special bond, even if social media said otherwise.
“We, wont leave you alone, you still owe me those therapy sessions” I winked at him, he became a very big emotional support for me, believe it or not, he’s got some great advice to give.
“Lovely dinner” I took a picture of all of us with my camera, a goodbye dinner for Checo, and tomorrow, all of the world would see this on the newspaper.
-
“I really don’t know what to do, do you know how many drivers have reached us out in the last 2 hours? I mean, I have a few options but they keep giving me more reasons and… I just don’t know.” My dad was stressed, typing in his computer as if his life depended on it.
“It’s going to be alright, okey? You don’t necessarily need to worry about it right now, we still have a championship to win, you know?” I gave him a cup of tea, just so he could relax a bit.
When something is about work, everything else doesn’t matter. At all.
“We’ll watch your options, alright? I can help you with anything you want” I smiled at him.
“When did you became such a great business woman?”
“You’re my father, of course I’m hardworking.”
-
“Red Bull did it again, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, world champion and sub-champion!”
Screams from Max and Checo blasted my ears, P1 and P2, again. Absolutely no mistakes. The internet going crazy. And somehow it all became quiet.
“Who will get that Red Bull seat next year? Will he be a fit to Sergio Perez place?”
Everyone went outside to celebrate, while I stayed so I could hear the TV and media.
what do people want?
“Ferrari didn’t have a great year, let’s hope they both get a better car”
“I agree! Great drivers, such a shame Ferrari has been getting worse every year. What a waste of talent.” The other interviewer said.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz appeared in the screen. Both with an obvious forced smile plastered in their faces.
Charles, my secret crush ever since… forever. Was I obvious? Not a single soul knew, well, except him.
-
Charles Leclerc signed in RedBull that was the only thing appearing on my feed right now . Red bull? Bullshit, you mean? What kind of a big lie is that?
Internet was filled with Charles leaving Ferrari for RedBull.
In what twisted universe does that even happen?
I later learned, I am living in that twisted world, and I discovered the great news in social media, and not my own team.
“What do you mean Charles Leclerc, dad? Why wasn’t I even informed about this. Wait, hold on, when did it even crossed your mind?!” I was dignified.
Following around the kitchen.
“I didn’t have to, oh, I do think I need to tell you this, he’s coming to dinner tonight so wear something nice.”
Wear something nice.
Thanks dad, as always, you’re so, so great.
Night time came sooner than expected, if my dad hosts a dinner, even if there’s a million, or just one person coming over, he likes to be extra.
-
Almost time, 8:00 and it is 7:50, all that was missing was the dress. It was placed on my bed. Showing all of it’s beauty.
Navy blue, our color. It was my dream dress.
Light, silky and fancy dress.
I walked downstairs, watching people running and arranging everything, doing just the final touches.
I’ve come to learn, that people arrive late, or just in time. Never earlier.
“Ah, what a beautiful young woman I have here!” Geri, my father’s wife came to greet me.
“You look amazing, I knew that dress would be perfect for you!”
“Geri, you are amazing, seriously. Thank you, and look at you! We both look gorgeous.” I smiled at her and we linked arms, she and I were walking towards the garden, where would be the dinner.
Some big, round, wooden tables were set in the middle. Each seat would have a name, decorated with a white flower in the middle of the plate.
It was easy to find my place. I was at the biggest one of all, where the most important people of this night would be seated.
Lucky for me, his name was right next to my plate.
In a matter of seconds, people started to arrive, old friends, and new faces passed through those doors.
This will be a great night.
“Funny to find you here, it’s been some time since I last saw you…” I rolled my eyes, I (sadly) recognized that voice anywhere.
“Go away Mike.” I grabbed my wine glass and took a big sip out of it. “C’mon princess, where are your manners?” He got too close to me.
“Hey y/n! Your dad was looking for you, like right now.” Max Verstappen here to save my day.
“Oooh that’s unfortunate, I’m so so so sorry Mike, hope to see you later!” I waved him off and quickly moved towards Max who then friendly linked his arm with mine.
“I owe you one.” I sighed. “You owe me much more than 1, little one.” I laughed at him.
We got close to my father, who now had a microphone at his hand.
“Hello everyone, thank you for coming here and be with us tonight. A toast for Checo here!” He announced and a light was shining on Checo, standing from his seat.
“It has been a wonderful year, sadly it has to end. And I know I’m not the first to tell you that an incredible young talent will be joining us for next season.”
There he was. Navy suit with our logo on him. His hair was messy yet perfectly placed. He showed his dimples and I’m sure I heard someone behind me moan at his sight.
My heart rate was increasing slowly but surely.
“y/n, you’re going to squeeze all my blood from my arm. Stop.” Max whispered in my ear.
Shit. I basically dug my nails into his arm due to my tiny crush.
“Yeah, It’s amazing to know that I’m to race with RedBull next year. I hope we can achieve everything we’ve dreamed of. Looking forward to race with my lifetime partner, Max here.”
Now the light was on Max and me. I discreetly let go of max so that he could have the spotlight. As Max waved I looked back at Charles.
The dimples in his face showed even more, he was looking at me too.
“I can’t wait to work with these wonderful people, and I hope we have a great year to remember, thank you and enjoy this night!” He raised his glass and so did all.
“Well, I hope we don’t have any inchidents” Max laughed at his own joke. Dad joke I must say.
“Well If you don’t push me off the track I think we’ll be just fine” his voice gave me chills. I felt his chest on my back.
I wasn’t strong enough to turn around.
“Oh, shoot, you hear that? I think P is calling me!”
“No, Max-” I tried to stop him.
Around Charles, I barely have control over myself.
“Uh-huh, yeah that’s P, she wants to go to the bathroom, and she needs food, ok have a great night bye!” He rushed to god knows where.
“You really don’t want to be with me, do you?” He whispered on my ear. Feeling the heat of his breath.
“Why wouldn’t I? You are such a lovely company, mr Leclerc.” I gathered the strength and turned around, and his beautiful green eyes shined at me, making me blush.
“Look at you, could you get any more beautiful?”
He lowered so he could whisper again. “I’ve missed you” I looked around real quick, thankfully Max took everyone’s attention on the other side of the place.
“Not here, Charles.” I whimpered.
“Yes here, I can finally be with you, do you think I would waste any more time pretending to not love you? If you do, let me tell you, you are completely wrong.”
He kept whispering, his hands slowly finding his way to my hips. And mine to his collarbone.
“It’s not even 9pm, Leclerc, this party hasn’t even started” I fighted against my own will to drag him upstairs.
“You know I’ll wait, just for you.” He winked at me, before slowly letting me go and walking away.
“You’re not coming, mon coeur?” Charles turned around to look at me. “If you insist.” I happily walked by his side.
We walked and talked for a few minutes before Mike magically appeared before us.
“Oh not even 5 seconds and you are already like a slut with the new driver” He looked at me with a disgusted face.
“Excuse her? Don’t tall to her like that. Do we even know you?” Charles used a very cold tone on him. And Mike started to stumble on his word.
“Uhm, no, she does, like I was something to her-”
“Was, that’s a key word, pal. Don’t you ever talk to her, no, don’t you ever talk to any woman that way do you understand?”
Now, I can defend myself just fine, but that right there soaked my pants in an unexplainable way.
“Get out of our sight, man.” And he crawled away.
“That was hot.” I whispered and he blushed. “Your mother did raise a gentleman.” I smiled at him and he gave me a cheek kiss.
-
Lost on the moonlit pool, drinking my… 11th (?) glass of wine at 1 in the morning while everyone was still dancing, was weird.
My feet swinging as I drink the last drop of my glass.
I went on a side quest myself just to get distracted for a bit. All the noise was going to hurt my ears if I stayed any longer.
“Here you are, you got lost?” He sat down at my side. Didn’t have to look, his thick accent gave him away immediately.
I took a long breath and rested my head on his shoulder . “Yes, Charles, I’m going to get lost in my own house.” I felt him move beside me. He then had his feet in the pool, just as I did.
I smiled to myself.
“Has anyone told you just how beautiful you look today?”
“You have, more than once.”
“I couldn’t let that slip, you do look beautiful with that dress. It suits you just perfectly.”
He paused.
“But I bet you’d look much better without it.”
I nervously chuckled at his comment.
“You haven’t talked to me in ages, you came back being a driver for my father, and now you want to have sex? Why don’t you already make me your wife?!” I dramatically fell into his arms
“Ages? I talked to you last week!” He showed his teeth to me in a smile. “That was a long time ago! Besides, you never told me about you and RedBull.” I sit straight up again.
“I needed your dad to love me one way or another. How else am I going to get him to approve of our marriage?” He joked.
“You are unbelievable Leclerc.” I stood up, and grabbed my high-heels on my hand, walking back to the party barefoot.
I surrounded part of the pool, my dad wanted to add a bar right beside it, and it was freshly cemented.
He quickly copied my moves, but instead, he went on a straight line to me, and in a step he covered his feet in cement, falling down and thankfully placing his hands before getting worse.
“Shit!” I ran back to help him. I stupidly placed my hand in the cement, the other helping Charles to get up.
“Look, we made a masterpiece! Your handprints and mine in wet cement.”
“And your feet.” I laughed
“And my feet… I really need to wash this off before it gets dry.” I grabbed his hand and he followed my lead.
If my dad sees that I’m getting his new driver to my room…
We rushed through the multitude of people on the garden.
“Ooh we’re going to your bedroom, can’t remember what happened last time there…” he whispered shouted as we were running up the stairs.
I jokingly rolled my eyes at him. We were giggling like children. He kept making dirty jokes and as much as I tried to control myself I’d end up giggling much more.
We got there quicker than I thought. With my clean hand I closed the door and he was already in my bathroom washing his hands, and feet with water. I ran to his side and did the same with my left hand.
“I’m done” I announced and got out of the bathroom. Deciding to do a touch up for my makeup, thankfully nothing was much out of place, but my lipstick faded.
I slowly applied it looking in the mirror, and through it I saw a curious Charles looking at me. “Why do you even apply lipstick?” He slowly walked towards me.
I took my sweet time spreading the color on my lips.
“Cause we are going back, party is not over.”
“But we don’t need to.” He grabbed me by the waist and turned me around to look at him and he swiftly placed me on the desk. A smirk plastered on his face, as he slowly got on his knees.
“Charles…”
He got to his knees, not breaking eye contact with me.
“You know that if you say no, I won’t do anything. But I’m not hearing those words, am I?” He lifted my dress planted wet kisses on my inner thighs, getting closer to my sweet spot. “You’re so fucking wet”.
“They will know we’re gone” I nervously whispered. He looked into my eyes and stopped, his hot breath making me squirm. “That isn’t a no.” He stood his ground.
And I’m not saying “do it anyway”, but we both know he is going to.
I didn’t even have a chance to think about the cons, his tongue was already doing its job.My legs were closing due to the pleasure, but his strong arms kept them wide open while he drew circles with his thumbs.
“Charles…” he hummed in response, sending me shivers all the way up. He kept licking my folds and as I looked down, he had his shiny green eyes looking at me. A hint of darkness in them that made me moan just at sight.
His head between my legs was surely what heaven looked like.
I curved my back and my hand gripping his hair so he could get closer. He groaned and sucked even harder.
“Fuck, you’re such a good boy, I missed this.” His hand moved quickly into me, curling his two fingers finding my g spot. “Fuck, Charles!” I screamed his name while cumming all over him, his tongue taking all off of me, as he rose without slowly moving his fingers again. My hips rocking back and forth as he arose, keeping his hand busy. “Too bad that pretty mouth of yours can’t do much right now. I really would love to feel it sucking my dick.” I hummed imagining it and getting even closer to my second climax.
“I'll take care of you, just so my princess can remember who she belongs with.” His lips were on my neck, whispering sweet nothing between kisses and soft biting. My moans filled the whole room along with the sound of his fingers working on her center.
Charles, Charles, Charles…
Each time his name left your mouth his cock got even harder, to the point where it hurt. In a short motion his pants down and without any warning he thrusted into you. You both let out a pornographic scream. If the music wasn’t loud everyone would have heard you two. The sound of your slaps were evident, heat rising, the feeling of his beard in your neck was all too much. Curses along with moans were the only thing louder. He did a final thrust and immediately pulled out, jerking off and finishing in his hand.
“You just washed your hands.” I joked breathlessly, he messed up with my head real bad. “Couldn’t resist” he smiled, gave me a peck and disappeared into the bathroom. I melted on that spot.
“Come on mon coeur.” What I loved about Charles was that he always cared. we got into the bathroom and I washed my hands, in the reflection of the mirror his eyes were already in mine.
“What?” I asked as the blood rushed into my cheeks. “Nothing.” He gently smiled, and his eyes shined to me in a different shade of green.

I don't want to talk about the contractual aspects, which obviously aren't my responsibility - he explained - instead it makes me pleasure to reflect on the character, on his story. Perhaps not everyone knows that Lewis has always been sensitive to the charm of the Cavallino . He is our customer! More than once he visited the factory as a buyer of our cars. He is not just a speed ace. He has a genuine love for supercars. Our cars couldn't be missing from his garage. One in particular."
The model is actually called LaFerrari – he admitted – Hamilton came to Maranello to give the indications relating to the preparation of the machine. It was on that occasion that we said goodbye cordially. And he told me something that struck me. We had Vettel on the team and we were happy with Seb. We had just renewed the contract with the German, which was going well. Lewis made a joke: if you waited twelve months I would come."
A joke that could have been the first sign of an imminent move to Ferrari, long before the one that materializes for 2025, but not according to Ferrari: "I don't think so, he has lived and is still living a fantastic story with Mercedes. But certainly, as I said at the beginning, he was never indifferent to our story. He is also very close to the motoring legend, as a child he had Senna as an idol, in 2013 he took over from Michael Schumacher at Mercedes. Personally I'm very happy, God forbid. A figure like that of Lewis fits perfectly with the Ferrari myth."
Turrini, however, also highlighted a statistic relating to only two drivers who became champions with other teams who were then able to establish themselves also in Ferrari. A team that, after a year of waiting, will see a pair made up of Hamilton and Charles Leclerc: It's true, you are referring to Fangio and Schumacher – he recalled – I consider it an auspicious moment. Charles is the champion of the future, Ferrari believes in him and has shown it, I think. Hamilton is Hamilton. I don't see why they should argue. We are talking about professionals.

Based on a request:
heard you're obsessed with F1? how about a fem f1 driver reader x 141 (anyone you choose or all of them) what they think about it, or maybe a bit of an angst bcs you were in a crash (like zhou on Silverstone maybe?) and they were scared
F!Reader, angst, car accident, F1 x 141,
A/N: As an F1 the title was a must...(In this home we love Carlos Sainz)
The life of luxury and glamour any other motorsport wished to have is in the palm of your hands. 23 races a year in different countries and tracks, you know your job is not just any ordinary sport. How did you meet four military SAS soldiers when your whole life has consisted of being in F1 and winning the championship?
It's hard to explain, but you met them on a race week. Laswell had given Price four tickets for him and the other men as a token of appreciation. Silverstone is considered one of the best tracks to race at as a driver and a fan, on press day the men found themselves lost, mainly because Ghost was stubborn enough to ask anyone for directions. They eventually ended up wandering through the paddock, unknown to them they passed legends of the sport and the drivers themselves.
Soap tried to take a selfie with the team and then you passed by, the only female driver in the current grid. "Can yer please take a picture of us?" Soap's accent is strong. It was the first time since you became a driver that someone didn't ask for a picture of you, from them on they became your number one fans and your closest friends. The men are now known friends of yours amongst security guards, mechanics, engineers, other drivers and even the team principals. They adore being there for you like you are for them when they want to talk about the trouble their missions put them through.
Currently, the five of you are in Budapest for the Hungarian Gran Prix this weekend and after another victorious deployment, the men have tagged along. Soap and Gaz have been with you the whole week, from sitting and watching interviews to watching your times during the Free Practice runs. Ghost and Price joined you for Quali, cheering on from the pits. Soap is wearing some tacky shirt to support his favourite driver, you and your teammate. Secretly, Gaz is hoping the Red Bull men start at the front of the race but he won't let anyone know.
Today is race day, and around three- hundred thousand people are in attendance plus those around the world, watching the 20 drivers and hoping their favourite wins.
Lap 1, you and the rivalry team were close to colliding but soon you were in second place. By lap 25 your teammate had crashed with a Haas and had to retire, your team kept cheering you on, wanting to break the winning streak of the Dutch driver. Lap 62, you were leading the race, that is until the two cars behind you, consisting of the Dutch (Ver) and Spanish (Alo) drivers, started to fight for high positions. One spin from the Ferrari driver caused the Spanish driver to drift and hit the car of Verstappen. Number 1(formally 33) tried to brake but he unfortunately hit your car, causing you to spin and before you knew it you went rolling in the air.
Yello flags turned to red flags, and your car split in half. Price and Ghost feared the worst, Price had seen an accident similar to yours in 1996, the day he knew the legend of the sport would soon just be a memory, yours was much worse, the high speed, the way your car was in half and the fact that the cameras only showed the paddock and crowd. No one knew of your condition.
When Verstappen got out of his car he immediately ran to yours, the fire marshalls telling him to stay away but he didn't mind. Ghost for the first time in years prayed, he didn't believe in anything but for you, he was willing to pray and believe. Believe you were alive and that at least the worst you could sustain was a concussion.
Gaz then regretted not hugging you before the cameras were on, patting your helmet like the other men had done every race they went on. All the cameras were showing was the crowd, how silent they had gotten when the incident was shown for just a split second. All the other drivers back to the pits. All but two, medics rush to you and the Dutch driver, fire marshals pushing Verstappen off.
Once he got to the pits, Ghost had to be sat down, he wanted to confront the driver. Price walked to him and asked about your condition, "She...it didn't look well, I didn't see blood but all I could see was how they tried to get her out of the car." It was clear that he too was afraid of the worst, all drivers, from the younger ones to the older ones. They knew the chances of you surviving weren't much, the halo can protect so much but the way you rolled in the air and how the condition of your car wasn't the best told them to just pray and stay silent.
Gaz took a walk and had to cry elsewhere because he couldn't bear to let others know how he felt. Part of him felt like it was his fault for this, maybe if he too would've patted your helmet or at least said "Good luck", maybe you'd be winning the race and maybe just maybe you wouldn't be in that shit box they call a car.
Soap knew best, knew how all his friends were and he knew about Gaz and how he could be feeling. He walked around, searching for him. Price and Ghost watched as your car got towed and covered to prevent anyone from seeing it. Price asked around, to drivers and team principals, "How bad does it look?" "Can she make it?" "Any news from her?" all asked but not much answered. You see, you had told them previously that if something like this were to happen never answer Price or Ghost. The race was postponed, to start in 30 minutes.
Price and Ghost walked around until they found the other two men, one hugging the other as the other cried. "Gaz-" Price tried to ask him a question only to be shushed by Soap who had become protective of his friend. The news of your well-being later arrived because from previous accidents the sport has learned to keep it all hushed. This news whether good or bad could be the end or beginning of confessions and stories.

How Tim found out about the secret identity.
PART 2
Reverse Robin + Parallel AU PART 1 HERE
Since there is no blaring clue like the quadruple flip, Tim has his work cut out for him. Bruce is paranoid enough, just add a miniature Bruce. Batman and Batboy became like a true mythical urban legend.
Tim was actually 14 when he found out Bruce was Batman. Damian was 16.
After becoming Batboy, Damian joins the Justice League and works with a team of teenage superheroes like his own. So he rarely comes home or he's gone for a long time. Tim still visits the Manor, he talks with Alfred in tea times, and sometimes accompanies Bruce on golfing. He still has a fascination on vintage cars but he got bored watching the cars in the garage, that is when he took notice of the new Batmobile that was recently caught on news.
14 years old Tim, takes out his best camera and sets out into the night to take photos of the Batmobile.
The Batmobile becomes his newest obsession. One day, on his close up shot of the car he noticed something about the tail light bumper, normally you won't notice, but the company that produces it actually trademarked it.
W.E
Tim starts going into detective mode. This tail light is a model that WE never released. They were not released due to the fact that it doesn't fit the regulation of a proper rare light. Therefore, if someone is using those , Tim deducts that they must be from somewhere higher up. He started digging into the BODs of WE with his limited resources. He ruled out 13 out of 24. But it isn't still not good enough. He mopes around the vintage cars as he was about to give up when he saw Bruce Wayne lay down flat under a car, legs poking out.
"Umm, Mister Wayne..?"
Bruce slips out and greets him, "Oh, hi, Tim! Come to check out the cars again? "
"Yeah," Tim looks at Bruce covered in grease and says, "Bruce, you can call in a mechanic, you don't need to do it by yourself."
Bruce laughs from under the car, "Sometimes, it's better to do it with your own hand, son"
Tim shrugs and sits down. It is then he realised the rear bumper of the car is destroyed.
"How did this happened??" Because Tim know Bruce is not that irresponsible.
"Well, Mr. Smarty Pants Damian thought it would be a good idea to take his friends out on a ride after getting his permit. He's lucky he hit a lamppost or he better expects a lawsuit if otherwise."
"Oh, then maybe this need a proper mechanic to repair that."
Bruce rolls out and looks at him, "Look like we got two of the best here."
This make Tim grins and drops his bag as he starts to inspect the damage. His heart goes to the beautiful Ferrari that got damaged. Fortunately, this is but a dent, the tail light are broken so new ones need to be replaced.
"Bruce, you have extra tail lights?"
Bruce comes and checks," Yeah, it's in that box." Tim brushes some scratches and dirt ignoring the huge dent beside it, and when he got to installing the tail light, he paused. He looked down at his hand when he feels uneven ridges on the tail light.
Tim stares straight ahead in silence and quietly got back to work again.
When Bruce comes out to check how he is doing, Tim looks at him and asks," How did you get the WE tail lights that were never released? "
Bruce lets out a hearty laugh, " Well, I just keep some spare ones because they are quite useful even though they might not meet regulations."
"Can I have one?" Tim asks. And Bruce actually gives him one.
That was clue one. He suspects but never confronts Bruce or Damian.
Clue two was matching the dates of the debut of Batboy and Damian's absent and presence in Gotham and in California.
As well as Bruce absent in Gotham when Batman was spotted in Metropolis.
When Tim realised the dates actually matches up, he just didn't end it there.
Clue three was calculating Batman's height without the boots and cowl, analysing the body structure, he mannerism in pronouncing certain words and consonants.
But Tim has already decided.
Tim decides to live an ignorant life in bliss, as he does not want to be separated from his cars so soon.
Tim after feeling the tail light and Bruce came to him.

Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver tells his story: «I feel good only with the helmet on my head»
At 26, the young Monegasque has already entered the legend of Formula 1. Thanks to his cold blood and the audacity of a driving style that does not contemplate fear, Charles Leclerc has become "The predestined" for his fans. Since he was a child he loved red cars and with Ferrari he fulfilled his dream…
Almost 130 Grands Prix in Formula 1, 28 podiums, 22 pole positions and five victories: at 26, Charles Leclerc is already making history. His favorite driver is Ayrton Senna but «there are many I admire: Prost, Lauda, James Hunt, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton. However, Ayrton Senna (the Brazilian champion who died in a tragic accident at Imola in 1994, ed.), is my all-time idol. From what I was able to see in the documentaries that tell his story and by speaking with those who knew him in life, I discovered that he was a special person to say the least, not only behind the wheel - he was perhaps the best driver in history - but also as a human being." Leclerc's childhood is marked by a deep bond with his father Hervé (he bears his name on his helmet) who was also a pilot - «dad was my number 1 fan» – and by his untimely death in 2017. «I was four years old, I told my father that I wasn't feeling very well and didn't want to go to school. Of course I was pretending like all kids do. However, I don't know why, he indulged me and took me to the go-kart track of his best friend, Philippe Bianchi. Seeing other children running on the track, I wanted to try it too. For my first car I chose the color red. And I think I fell in love with this sport after just three laps." On that go-kart track Leclerc lives his dream of one day becoming a Formula 1 driver and there he meets his lifelong friend, Jules Bianchi, Philippe's son. In karting, Charles Leclerc collected one victory after another, also because "I didn't know the concept of braking". At 17 years old in 2014, he entered the “Formula Renault 2.0” with the Fortec Motorsports team. He took seven podiums and collected two victories, earning second place in the championship. In 2015 he moved to Formula 3 and, despite an accident on the Zandvoort circuit (Holland), which compromised the final position in the standings, and the death of his friend Jules Bianchi in July, after the accident at Suzuka on 5 October 2014, Leclerc he doesn't lose the desire to compete. «Formula 1 killed people I loved, but I can't help it», he declared some time later.
What was your first ever Grand Prix? «Macau in 2015. But I like to remember the first time I saw one. I was still a child, I had a friend whose apartment had a balcony overlooking the Monte Carlo circuit. Obviously I was already rooting for the red cars, even though I didn't yet know that they were Ferrari. It was simply my favorite color." In the 2016 GP3 season he won the title with the "ART Grand Prix" team, even if, during the last championship race in Abu Dhabi, he chose to retire. Does a pilot ever feel afraid? «I am a human being, even if I run at 300 kilometers per hour. Beautiful moments alternate with very difficult ones, I'm not a superhero. It was in 2017, when I thought I wouldn't be able to become a Formula 1 driver, that I felt a real feeling of fear." But it is precisely in 2017 that the turning point arrives. A year earlier Leclerc had taken part in the Ferrari Driver Academy. With the first free practice session of the British Grand Prix in 2016, he began his experience as a test driver for Haas and then for Ferrari. Over the course of the following year he became increasingly noticed, thanks to a series of victories - among them that of the FIA Formula 2 championship - and multiple tests of skill at the wheel of his car. In the 2017 championship he participated in four free practice sessions with Sauber, the first of which in the pouring rain on the Sepang circuit (Malaysia), and it was with the Swiss team that he became a Formula 1 driver. On board the Sauber C37, despite some difficulties, Leclerc demonstrates consistency and ends the 2018 season in 13th place in the drivers' standings with 39 points, voted "rookie" of the year. But what happens before a Formula 1 race? «Before running, a lot of tension builds up. I have been doing breathing exercises since I was a boy. They help me stay calm, so I can achieve a level of concentration that maximizes my potential. Preparation is 90% of the total work in a race." Before getting into the car there is also space for a ritual moment. «I only feel good when I wear the helmet and everyone comes out of the pit lane», he says, «the cockpit is like a nest, I don't feel any sensations, zero tension. There I relax while waiting for the race."
In September 2018, Scuderia Ferrari announced that the Monegasque driver would replace Kimi Räikkönen, alongside Sebastian Vettel. «I was on a boat in Monaco. I had put the phone on silent mode, I find the call from Maurizio Arrivabene (head of the Ferrari team ed.). I told the friend I was with to turn off the engines, that the head of Ferrari had called me and I wasn't hearing well. I understand that he wouldn't have taken me to Ferrari. It seemed a little strange that he called me to tell me, I was disappointed. Fifteen seconds later he called me back and told me he was joking. I attacked and dived into the sea, it all seemed so surreal. Me in Ferrari…". Even though his first time in Maranello dates back to a few years earlier as he reveals in the book “Le prodige” written by Rémi Boudoul: «I was 11 years old, but I didn't enter. I sat in the parking lot and imagined a structure similar to the one seen in “The Chocolate Factory”. With the Oompa Loompas running around." In 2018 his first race of the season in Australia ended with a fifth place, but the real affirmation came with the Bahrain Grand Prix, where he won his first pole position and finished the race in third place. The season continues with ups and downs. After a first victory in Belgium came the triumph on the Monza Circuit, in front of the delirious Scuderia Ferrari home crowd. Leclerc also arrived in pole position in Singapore and Russia, and ended the season in fourth place with 264 points, consolidating his reputation among the most promising talents in Formula 1. 2020 began with a second place in Austria. However, the Ferrari SF1000 demonstrates some limitations in subsequent races. Leclerc retires in Styria and ends up outside the points in Hungary. A bad accident in Monza, from which he emerged unscathed, represents a critical moment in that unspectacular year, which ended in eighth place in the drivers' standings.
The following year, the new Ferrari SF21 proved to be more competitive, allowing Leclerc - now at the Prancing Horse with Carlos Sainz Jr. - to achieve good results, including fourth places in Imola and Spain. In Monaco, he takes pole position but retires due to damage to the car before the race. His only podium came in Great Britain, finishing the season in seventh place in the drivers' standings. 2022 is more than positive. He wins the Bahrain Grand Prix, followed by a second place in Saudi Arabia and victories in Australia and Austria. He finishes in second place among the drivers, behind Max Verstappen. In 2023, with his SF23 single-seater, he achieved the second podium of the season in Austria, while in Great Britain he finished ninth. In Belgium, after some changes to the car, he gets pole and finishes third. In the Italian Grand Prix, in Monza, he started on pole and finished fourth. Beyond the races, twenty-six-year-old Charles Leclerc, just appointed ambassador of the Monegasque jewelery brand APM Monaco, tries to spend as much time as possible with his friends. «Ricardo, Alex, Thomas, Guillaume, Nico, Hugo, Joris. I'm happy with them, we go to the beach, to the restaurant, we play five-a-side football, we're all sporty and we train together. However, we have different lives, while they study, I live my passion. But I love racing, I love Ferrari." Ferrari which is not only synonymous with engines but also with fashion and Leclerc is a proud ambassador of the brand led by Rocco Iannone. «I often wear items from the Ferrari line, they are aerodynamic and the materials range from the more technical ones - which I am used to wearing every day in my work - to the more refined ones. I like that couture feel and above all the color that dominates in the Ferrari collections, a color that I don't think I need to specify...>>

Legacy AU - Part 1 - First day back
Prologue - Next part
It’s mid-January when Lance gets called into the factory for the pre-season. He’d spent the last few weeks spending time with his family and friends, snowboarding to his heart’s desire. The snow, despite being unmistakably cold, felt like warmth and comfort to him. A way to recenter himself, a reminder that no matter what, he can always come back to this feeling when things get hard. It also gave him time to reflect, to think more clearly without the constant stress of the next race looming over his head.
The same couldn’t be said about the damp, gloomy weather of England.
Thick rivulets splash against the car window, the gray clouds above showing no indication of clearing up anytime soon. Lance sighs as he presses his forehead on the cold glass. Soft music plays through his headphones as the dark rolling hills whizz by, obscured by the downfall. He can’t help but feel a bit lost, sitting alone in the backseat, the driver hidden by a separating panel. It felt a little like riding in a car possessed by an unknown spirit, leading him to his inevitable doom. Damn, he needs to get back to his senses. He’s here because he wants to. He wants to get working on the car, log in hours in the simulator, get the thrill of barreling through a circuit at 300 kilometers an hour. He wants to win, and make everyone proud, his family, his friends, and himself.
But most of all, Fernando Alonso.
Unsurprisingly, his thoughts this winter break often drifted to Fernando, his new official boss. Lance knows he needs to tread carefully. The rules have changed now. His advances, his flirting, his need to be close to the Spaniard has to be more measured. But the truth is, he isn’t sure he can hold himself back.
It was innocent, a little silly at first. Sure, he noticed from the start how his stomach would flip whenever Fernando would laugh or smile at his suggestive jokes, but he convinced himself it was just nervousness. Yet as the years went by, there was no denying the pull he had towards his fellow driver. Fernando became a person of comfort, of safety away from home. An island of peace and understanding within the raging storm that is being an F1 driver. The Spaniard opened himself to Lance, listening to his gripes about the team, the car, or his own performance, giving advice or support any way he could. Fernando would also offer physical comfort, pulling him into a tight embrace to calm him down after a hard day. Lance became used to feeling his head rest against the older man’s chest and letting the slow heartbeat cradle him to sleep.
Could he really be blamed for his wires starting to get crossed? Lance had never been cared for like this by anyone else. Sure his father gave him anything he wanted but sometimes, all Lance needed was to be held and heard. The fact Fernando is also undeniably handsome and a racing legend didn’t help his poor head getting tripped up. Admittedly, he’d let his selfish desires take over his moral compass a bit too often. In hindsight, begging to suck off your teammate after a win was a bit too extreme, but he’d seen the desire reflect in those brown eyes. If there was a way in, Lance would fight for it.
There was also the matter of the celebration party after Brazil. Fernando had been caught up the whole night by the throngs of people wanting to talk to him, party with him, congratulate him, it was no surprise Lance didn’t see much of him. He spent most of the night with Esteban, downing a few fancy drinks paid for by Lawrence’s tab. A few people came to congratulate him on the team effort but didn’t linger long before looking for the champion. Of course, Lance was happy for Fernando but he could help the twinge of jealousy. The car was a championship winning car yet he’d only secured fourth, missing out on the podium which was instead filled by the two Ferrari drivers, Verstappen and Leclerc. Towards the end of the season, Ferrari and even McLaren had started shaping up, nearly catching up which can only spell trouble for the next season. Aston Martin had the jump on everyone this year but the other teams were now ready to bring back the fight, their fancy, efficient facilities in tow. Lance felt apprehensive, and no amount of comfort from Esteban, whom he’d been ranting to all night, helped the situation. The Frenchman knew how down on himself Lance could get but he could tell the conversation wasn’t going anywhere so he made his excuses and left him at the bar, promising to catch up later. Lance let him go, even if it meant standing at the counter alone. Some people tested their luck trying to strike up a conversation now that Esteban was gone, but he wouldn’t give them even a passing glance. If stories about him being an asshole pop up in the media tomorrow, he can easily blame it on being drunk, celebrating too hard.
Just about when he was going to call it a night, Lance felt a pair of strong hands wrap around his waist from behind.
“Cariño, I have not spoken with you all night. I need to thank you again, my victory is all thanks to you.”
There is no mistaking Fernando’s voice no matter how slurred it is. Lance turned to face him and caught the older driver’s blissed out smile. His hair looked drenched, sticking up wildly. Lance didn’t dare check if it was from sweat or champagne - probably a nauseating mix of both.
“Fernando, you know that’s not true. I made too many mistakes that could have lost us the constructors. And those close calls that nearly crashed us both out.”
The Spaniard made a show of rolling his eyes and waving a hand as if he were batting away the words.
“I don’t care about that Lance. We won is all that matter. And next year, you become champion, and we win again!”
Lance laughed and shook his head.
“You really think that will happen?”
Fernando pulled the younger driver closer, their hips now flush against each other. Lance gasped as his arms got trapped between them.
“I promise I make you champion next year.”
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Fernando.”
The older man lifted a hand to Lance’s face, cradling his cheek. His thumb started slowly rubbing back and forth. Lance can’t help but snuggle ever so slightly into the hold, which makes Fernando smile.
“I promise. I believe in you, in us.”
Lance has to laugh at how those words would have sounded in a different context. If things were different. Suddenly, he felt Fernando tighten the hand around his face and pull him down. Their lips met in the middle in a soft kiss, Lance feeling the rough scratch of his beard against his skin. It takes a few moments for both of their consciousnesses to kick in and realize what had just happened. They both pull away from each other, remaining silent. Fernando met his gaze, his brown eyes reflecting the same affection and uncertainty in Lance’s own. He makes a vague gesture, clears his throat and walks away from the younger driver, leaving him once again alone.
There was something there, Lance knows it. Was it worth risking everything he had? Everything his father and him had worked towards? Lance knows the rational answer, but every time he thinks of Fernando, his strong hands, his sweet and caring manner, he can’t help but want more. He hasn’t seen Fernando in person since the party, communicating only through sparse work emails. Lance already hates this new dynamic. They were never just coworkers, and now he’s supposed to become Fernando’s docile employee that only works on success and productivity? Forget everything about how his lips felt against his? Fuck off.
Lance is broken out of his thoughts as the car stills. The familiar window bay isn’t as inviting under the downpour but at least the car has pulled up under the canopy. He thanks the driver and pulls the door open. A chill settles in his bones as he makes his way through the front door, the wings of the Aston Martin logo looming above.
Thankfully, it is much warmer inside. The receptionist greets Lance with a smile, indicating where the meeting would be taking place. He bumps into a few mechanics along the way, striking up an easy conversation in his usual nonchalant tone. It’s obvious the factory has been hard at work again, people jogging from place to place, the ringing sounds of machines throughout the building, interns slipping by with coffee, not a single still moment. Lawrence is the first one to pull Lance into an embrace as he enters the room, smiling brightly at his son and gesturing for him to sit. Others come to greet Lance but keep their contact minimal, most learning the hard way that the Canadian doesn’t enjoy physical contact. With exceptions of course.
He leans back in his chair and lets his resting pout come onto his face as he waits for the meeting to start. Everyone else seems engrossed in conversation, passionately discussing the upcoming season. Lance is thankful no one tries to strike up a conversation with him as he stares out the windows to the gloomy Silverstone track. No driving there today, that's for sure. Today is for all the boring bureaucratic details that Lance doesn’t care to remember but has to pretend to care about for the team. Looking at the rolling curves also reminds him of the expectation placed on him to win Silverstone this year, bringing in Aston Martin’s home race. In the past few years, both he and Fernando have failed to do so. Whether it be failed upgrades, tricky conditions, or crashes, they’ve never been able to pull it together. Lance feels dejected about his chances of ever winning here or anywhere else for that matter.
Finally, the door opens once more and conversations go quiet. Lance whips his head around faster than he is willing to admit.
Fernando looks categorically normal. Which for him of course means a perfect beaming smile, an undeniably handsome face, and energy that thrums through the room. He goes around greeting everyone with simple pats on the back or handshakes. Lance feels himself still in anticipation of his touch as he makes his way around the room. The conversations have started up again, people already throwing questions at Fernando who easily brushes them off and promises to address them all in a minute. As he passes by Lance, he is still turned towards an engineer. Fernando doesn’t say anything to Lance but squeezes his shoulder tightly before moving on. Lance hates how such a simple gesture sends shivers down his spine.
Fernando gets to the front of the oval table, still grinning widely. Lawrence shakes him lightly before taking a seat.
“Thank you everyone for being here. I am excited to start this new season with everyone here and everywhere else in the factory. We have a lot to go through today, so let’s get right into it.”
Lance tries to focus. He really does. He jots a few notes on the first few slides about the few rules and regulation changes. New changeable aero front wing mechanism, Mgu-k development, bla bla bla. Lance loses the thread pretty soon, especially when he is transfixed by the way Fernando moves his hands as he explains everything. The older man exudes confidence as if he’d been Team Principal for years. He answers questions with ease, not once looking unsure of his answer and inviting others more knowledgeable in specific aspects to share more. As teammates, Lance has never once heard Fernando talk about the car parts in such detail, it was as if he’d suddenly gotten 3 engineering degrees in a couple of months. Lance never thought the explanation of how piston positioning affects the motor efficiency would make him hot under the collar but the smooth Spanish accent that came along with it seals the deal.
Eventually, they move on to the less technical aspects of the seasons. Which tracks would suit the car, how the competition is looking, and what they need to develop. And most importantly, how they are going to win. Fernando hasn’t looked at Lance once this entire meeting but when he mentions the possibility of another world championship, he crosses his gaze and winks. Lance feels a blush come on his cheeks as he looks back down to his notebook, covered in nonsensical scribbles.
The presentation is over, and Fernando opens the floor for more questions. It’s at this point Lance actually notices his new teammate Felipe Drugovich has been here the whole time. The Brazilian peppers questions at Fernando, about the car handling, the sim work, changes to the steering wheel, all things Lance should have thought of as well. Instead, Lance sinks deeper in his seat as he watches Fernando smile at Felipe, reminding him he’d be here for advice and support throughout the season.
At long last, Lawrence declares the meeting over and ushers everyone back to work. Lance gets up slowly, his body having relaxed a bit too much into his seat. As he is about to leave the room, he feels a hand around his bicep.
“Lance, stay a bit? I want to talk to you.”
Lants. The way Fernando says his name never fails to get to him. He stills and watches everyone else filter out of the room. Once alone, he turns around to face his…boss. The grip on his arm hasn’t left as it burns through the fabric of his shirt.
“Thank you, Lance. I just wanted to check in, and make sure you are ok?”
Lance gives him a flat smile.
“Yep. Totally fine.”
Fernando sighs and chews on his lip.
“Are you sure? It seems today you were…distracted. Didn’t ask any questions, was very quiet.”
“I’ve been driving for a while. I know how it goes, I just didn’t have anything to say.”
The hand resting on his arm squeezes a little tighter.
“Of course, I know. But if we are going to make you world champion…you need to fight for it too. Drugovich is not strong enough for it, you are the only hope.”
Lance rolls his eyes and tears his arm from Fernando’s grip.
“Yeah because that’s what it’s all about. Making a champion. You don’t care about me, you only want to keep your job. Build your legacy.”
Fernando furrows his brows at the younger man before taking a step closer into his space.
“That is not true Lance. I care a lot about you. More than I should. But there are things to do, for the team. Lawrence wants the team to stay on top and I’m going to do everything to make it happen but I cannot do this without you.”
Lance swallows, looking down at Fernando’s face. It looked truthful, pleading. No matter how stubborn he can be, there is no refusing the older man’s soft gaze. The young driver sighs and chews on the inside of his cheek. He wants to believe Fernando, but there is such uncertainty that lies ahead. The other teams are no longer playing catch up, articles about their ongoing car development are released every day. Lance will be competing against drivers with over ten times more winning experience than he has. It’s become impossible to feel any kind of hope. A year ago, he would have shared his thoughts freely with Fernando, the older man probably pulling him into his chest as he listened, but that comfort could no longer happen. At least that is what he convinced himself.
“I’ll try my best Fernando.”
The Spaniard smiles and places a hand on his shoulder, his thumb rubbing small circles. Lance closes his eyes at the soft touch.
“That is all I ask. I will handle the rest.”
Fernando’s other hand comes to grasp the dip in Lance’s waist, the place that never fails to make the younger man melt, a soft sound makes its way out of his throat. Fernando seems to immediately regret his action as he pulls away completely. He brings his hands to his face and turns away.
“Joder. Sorry, Lance. I…I shouldn’t have. Please have a good rest of your day.”
Lance’s pout comes back onto his face as he opens the door and steps out of the room. Was this how it would be? Is Fernando restraining his touches towards him? The uncomfortable knot in Lance’s stomach was only going to get worse over the season if it continued like this. He feels pathetic, but he needs the older man’s touch.
Anger takes over his senses as he starts down the hallway. It’s not fair. Fernando was the only reason he’d pulled through last year, how will he do it this year?
He only makes it a few paces down the hall before Felipe lifts off a wall to trail next to him.
“Hey Lance! What did Fernando want with you? Anything important?”
Lance sighs and starts to walk a little faster.
“None of your business.”
Felipe’s face falls and Lance feels a little bad and slows his pace.
“Look Felipe, this season is going to be a bitch. Last year was a fluke, we were lucky to get our car working within the new regulations, but the others will have caught up now. It means every man to himself.”
Felipe frowns his eyebrows. The rookie has waited years for his chance to finally come, probably idolizing the whole experience but Lance is never one to make false pretenses for anyone.
“Isn’t that why we should work together? If all the teams have a fighting chance, we can maximize points by sticking together and helping each other out, no?”
“Maybe in a regular season. But no matter what Fernando and others have been telling you, we aren’t going to have the best car. And we aren’t the best drivers. So don’t keep your hopes too high, you’ll only be disappointed.”
With that, Lance picks up his pace once again, leaving his teammate stunned to silence.
He makes his way to the sim room, his first scheduled session of the season only moments away. The engineers catch him up on a few changes, mostly to the steering wheel configuration and movable aero developments. Today isn’t about performance but getting a real feel for the car, which Lance appreciates. The snug seat that squeezes his sides is a welcomed comfort as well. The lights turn off, and he is left alone in the dark room, illuminated only by the screen in front of him. Lance feels like he can finally breathe easily for the first time all day.
The laps start off slow, the car is still quite unstable and needs to be adjusted after every lap. The low drone of the engineers going through the fixes continues to relax Lance’s mind, the familiarity comforting. He gives a bit of feedback here and there but most of the work has to be done behind the controls. Finally, the car starts to respond better to his inputs, the cornering much smoother than before. Lance starts to push a bit harder, breaking late, changing the racing line, switching gears more aggressively, and unfortunately, the result is quite mediocre. The engineers remind him this is only the first day, that it will get better but Lance can’t help but feel a bit frustrated. By lap 124, his pace has barely improved, despite increased power. The car is too twitchy, registering slight accelerations as slamming the pedal to the floor, causing it to spin out wildly. The brake has the complete opposite problem, Lance has to use the force of both of his feet in the high braking zones, throwing off his rhythm. The team scrambles to understand the issues but nothing is working. The communication that was a comfort just a few hours ago is now nagging and annoying to Lance’s ear. He responds in short, angered phrases, unwilling to stop and regroup. His hands squeeze the wheel too hard, causing cramps in his hand but when offered a break, he only restarts the simulation. Everyone on the line is trying to get him to stop. They weren’t making any progress and tiring himself out for no reason wasn’t going to help. Lance ignored their words, eyes fixed on the screen in front. Suddenly the chatter stops.
“Lance, please stop. Come out of the simulator.”
The tires screech as Lance finds himself in the wall. His heart is pounding, his throat feels dry. How long had he been here? His legs shake as he pulls himself out of the seat. The light switches back on dimly and he turns towards the control center. Fernando holds a headset to his ear, his face etched in concern. Lance gives him a half-hearted thumbs up before walking out.
Fernando isn’t in the control room anymore by the time he gets there. They pull up a chair for him and start going through the data. The engineers’ discomfort is obvious, speaking slowly and hesitantly to Lance. The data is just as discouraging, showing no consistency and a lack of reliable speed on the straights. They promise Lance that this won't be reflected in the actual car but he can tell how unsure they all seem. Eventually, Jessica arrives to do some of her own sim work so he has an excuse to slip away. He passes by medical for a quick health check-up and the tailors take the opportunity to measure him for the new suit as well.
After all is done, he walks out into the cool evening, burying his nose into his scarf as he takes in some fresh air. His phone pings in his pocket, so he reaches for it. Fernando’s name floats at the top.
“I hope you are taking good care of yourself, Lance.”
Lance shuts off his phone and enters the black car that pulls up for him.

Red Bull Racing, Ready to be back!
……After a two year absence, the Milton Keynes based team is ready to come back and fight for wins! Their development has been on-going throughout their ban (for cost-cap infringement) and the team feels confident in their ability to pick up where they left off!
However, their line up is quite different, Verstappen signing onto Ferrari in 2026, RedBull have had to look elsewhere for their drivers. Thankfully, a trove of drivers were available for their picking, settling on signing Yuki Tsunoda alongside Liam Lawson…..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ollie Bearman resigns for Haas
….. “the truth is, most of the big teams don’t have any seats open. Haas has made great strides these past few years so I am happy to stay with them for now and see what we can accomplish. Who knows what the future holds.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli expresses concern over new FIA rules
….. Controversially, the FIA has ruled that teams must disclose their development details more publicly, in hopes to tighten competition. However, this likely means development over the year will be lessened, as teams will prefer to keep big discoveries for future seasons. Antonelli worries this will cause boring racing, cars being unable to gain dominance over others.
———————————————————————————
Hope we like it so far :)
I will be switching “perspectives” every other part or so (still in 3rd person but getting the inner thoughts of one if that makes sense)
I can also make a full “grid reveal” for this story if people are interested
Sorry this took ages to come out 😅😅

what has been happening in the world of motorsports lately?
Natalie Robyn will leave the role of CEO of FIA after little over one year in the position after a “mutual agreement”
there is a rumour about Logan’s manager speaking to Haas for the opportunity of American team hiring American driver from next season onwards (reminder that Kevin is likely out of contention, Ollie is the hottest candidate and Guanyu is next in talks with Haas according to the paddock gossip)
the Chicago GP was denied …for now (so at this point you have to consider it being a possibility, potentially rotating circuit?)
Merc apparently offered Carlos a one year contract, since they want to keep their options open (potentially for Max leaving or for Kimi stepping up into the team), Red Bull is keen on keeping Checo (although Marko denied they would give him the 3 years contract extension he would like to get) so that door is closing, Audi reportedly extended the deadline on the decision from Carlos till around Monaco
there will be a special edition of Ferrari Trento on the podium this weekend (I’m adding a picture below) and special awards with names of previous winners including people of Emilia Romagna for the year 2023
Williams posted Lap of Legends with Logan driving against AI programmed legends (Andretti, Hill, Manson, Prost, Button, Villeneuve)
Alex Albon extended his Williams contract on multiple year basis (meaning he will be driving with the team through the new regs, but with Fred and Charles starting a new fashion in F1, we simply don’t know how long exactly that contract is)
Domenicali confirmed 25 races a season is a maximum stated by the Concorde Agreement, but he wants to expand F1 calendar in other ways (rotating circuits, more sprints, some journals even talk about sprints at every race weekend)
Ferrari esports team won the constructor championship
Max is supposed to be joining Team Redline this weekend because apart from Imola he is said to be racing in virtual 24 hours of Nürburgring (but with how their weekend is going so far? who knows)
F3 drivers Alex Dunne and Martinius Stenshorne became members of the McLaren junior academy
speaking of juniors, Nikola Tsolov, Martinius Stenshorne and Arvid Linblad (Alpine, McLaren and Red Bull juniors) broke the sporting code by racing in different series without announcing it (the reports differ about who raced where, if they announced it to their teams or to FIA) – the result is, Tsolov and Stenshorne will get a race ban, one of Spa, one for Silverstone, and Lindblad will only get a fine, because he didn’t race in a full race just took a part in testing/practice before the real race
reminder for people watching Sky Sports, that David Croft won’t be in this weekend, and Harry Benjamin is stepping in his place
FIA is considering a different penalty system for continuous penalties and for the situation where a driver gains advantage by leaving the track (Kevin started a revolution)
Domenicali also spoke about a possible engine change for 2030 regulations as the feedback from fans is that they miss the good old sound of F1 (so possibly more noise)
team principals (and Domenicali) had a shared dinner together in Imola and Andrea Stella didn’t get the memo about the dress code for the night
More than Equal initiative founded by David Coulthard and a Czech businessman Karel Komárek started a driver development programme with first 6 female drivers between 13 and 14 years from across the world including Czechia and Slovakia (and 4 more female drivers under the age of 13 got their backing)
31st world stars charity football match between star team for the children and all stars drivers will be held in Monaco on 21st May (we have yet to get confirmed who will be present)
Adrian Newey said he is ready to join another team after a short holiday and according to Jonathan Mcaboy, he already signed with Ferrari
in the latest interview James Vowles reminded that letting go of Logan in the middle of the season is not planned but he has to be open and say that he is at risk of losing his seat for next season because they are talking to 4-5 other drivers (he also said that their car is about 15 kgs overweight and their new upgrade introduced here is meant to fight that problem)
head aerodynamicist Gioacchino Vino is leaving Mercedes but they will get Simone Resta (strategy) and Enrico Sampo (performance) joining as soon as in October (side note: some reports say Vino was poached by Ferrari but 1: it is one not very reliable source, I highly doubt this is a figure Ferrari would go for and there are also reports it was not his choice to leave the team)
Pierre will run an auction for his tribute helmet for Senna after this weekend and donate the money to his charity
Charles said that Xavi leaving was a team decision, and he was informed after Miami
Valtteri Bottas held talks with James Vowles behind closed doors in Imola

~personally~ of course as someone who is very interested in 3344 i would love to hear from lewis what his perspective is on max, who is compared more to senna, who is lewis' hero within his senna stannie fan card. like if senna wrote the fucking book max wrote the smash remake. like obviously humans are messy and complicated but like in ur pysche if the guy you "hate" is cut from the exact same cloth (and even sharper!) than the guy you love hmmmm. there's a lot of things to be talked about when drivers talk about who they idolize and why (or don't idolize). but i also love what u posted form that 1991 article bc f1 has never not been messy and human and solely about "wheel" or whatever and that makes it more interesting.
This is such supermaks bait anyway lets TALK about it 🌷
Tumblr media
Literally thats the whole thing wid Canada that really stuck wid me after Max broke Sennas most wins oat, like Lewis' lil selfie wid him and his 'this is a pretty iconic podium' and that whole sloppy toppy moment wid fellow old Dawg Nando ((yall remember Nando podiums . damn 🕊️)) like theres a certain gravitas here. Max ended the most dominant streak by an f1 driver in the most controversial, soul crushing devastating fashion and followed that shit wid his own brand of dominance. That is fucking brutal lmfao. U said it like this is thee smash f1 remake this is textbook Senna, we've seen the script, we know what kind of driver it takes to enact the script. Its not gonna be a nice lil driver, its gonna be somebody who has a deep cynicism for the whole thing while simultaneously being unable to not execute it to perfection. That is Senna. It is Lewis. And it is Max. Max is, by all measures, in his current form, wid this red bull team, driving this car, untouchable. Bro is the final dawg. And the way that he still drives bro, that aggressiveness he has, that unwillingness to give up the line, thats every ((good)) drivers' dream to face a driver like that and come out on top because, ironically, thats as close to racing as it gets and it is old school. It does emulate a different time, a time that Lewis not only grew up watching but contributed to himself. It is about 'wheel' in the end but theres also a person in that car that can break you, which is like an extraordinarily human thing.
I've always found Lewis' bias for Senna very interesting because I think prolly until he was 25, and mind u I havent watched every Hamilton title winning season only 2008 and then obvi 2020 was my first so like obvi really influences how I c him, but he had that same restless nature. The shouts Max was getting even in 2021, Lewis got them too, including being a risk to his own peers, being rash, arrogant, etc. But then Lewis moved past Senna, imo, and became ‘Hamilton’, took over his own narrative, his team, made his own legend, wid his own dominant cars, and like he was settling back into that. Max came in at a point where u thought a Senna-like figure had no more space in f1. But Max created room, literally by force, and is also slowly outgrowing that to become ‘Verstappen’. I think thats the thread that wont snap between them, the knowledge that they are the last true protagonists of their respective eras. I have in faith in sharl, I think sharl wid a competent car, a good team, can achieve history too, but I dont have faith in Ferrari. Ferrari cannot perform to that level rn. So u have this monster at 25 whos like alone in his greatness and refuses to act the part. I get why people who dont fw Max's achievements might not like it, but that doesnt keep him from being the racing driver he is. That has no bearing on it, on him. Its a complete fabrication from fans. That is why Max feels so inevitable, and like, genuinely upsets people who dislike him by saying or doing anything because he will always own up on track and like theres an almost existential horror u cause haters wid that type of aura. Lewis is that same breed of driver, so he recognizes it, he knows what it takes be f1's villain. U cant cast a shadow on something u dont stand over.
After Silverstone he said: 'for a long, long time we’ve had periods of dominance. I’m lucky to have had one with my team. Michael Schumacher had it, Sebastian Vettel had it, and now Max’s period has arrived.' Just now in Hungary right after taking pole he said some shit like 'Max was doing 'Max things' in quali' which is a lil crazy to me. 😐 when the fuck did u ever hear Lewis Hamilton refer to a 'Max thing' except when Max has his ((much beloved)) category 5 Jeddah moments or bullies him during fp1 because he liked dared to breathe in his direction. Like since when is 'Max thing' a compliment. Like something shifted here and part of that is Max's inevitability in this car but also like how Lewis perceives that inevitability. Yk personally I cud only ever measure myself thru the people who beat me. In sports truly competition is all that is, u find somebody better and u chase after them. That's what Max did. He's rewriting those same records, because he can. And everybody who was ever somebody in motorsport did the exact same thing, including Lewis. And Senna right up until he died, because of the way it happened too, unfortunately, changed not only how u saw motorsport but also how u saw the person inside the car.
sharl was recently asked about lewis and max and had a very Leclerc type answer that I found very interesting:
Q: You were able to beat both Verstappen and Hamilton, who is more difficult to deal with?
Charles: "Both of them, they have completely different driving styles. Max always goes to the limit, I like his approach. He is aggressive and creates spectacular fights. Lewis on the other hand is very clever. In the way he positions the car after a corner, for example. He is less aggressive but thinks more. If he doesn't overtake you in one place, it's because he's thinking of an easier one in which to attack!"
Like is this not the most senna prost shit you've ever read in your entire life 😭😭. I think it comes down to how u approach a race and what u do wid the machinery ur given and faced wid certain track-specific challenges. Like look at this Spa weekend and you'd think it's the opposite of what sharl described, but it isnt. Max and Lewis can both be very aggressive, they just came up in the sport differently and established themselves wid different cars. Also neither of them about to let checo catch a break djdkdkd. In CONCLUSION ‼️ motorsport in general is a narrative driven competition wid a mechanical element that can make or break anybody no matter how good they are. Max himself becoming part of the mechanical element is unique to him, tho. Its above and beyond. Trust that the driver who became synonym for dominance in f1 is definitely paying attention lmfao

Hamilton @ Ferrari seems a desperate move to be a legend he will never be. Attention seeker. As Enzo Ferrari opinion, it's about cars, not drivers. Also, not thinking about the future with many young ones, he's gonna be 40 years old... "largo ai giovani". He's not one developing the car, he needed Schumacher to make Mercedes a winning car... I've seen motorsports for 40 years and only Valentino and Schumacher made their moto / car look faster. But surprsingly for you, we like this move. New fankids victims of politically correct think if you hate Hamilton, you are a racist. So the fankids confirm to be the racist ones. We supported him the first years @ McLaren, but later the people started to know him well and he also changed... and also became obnoxious, nicknamed the crybaby. The media didn't help, made him a media darling for a race matter, that made him avoid so many penalties. There were years when he deserved at least one in almost every Gp, we'll make a video

Please ignore these if you don’t feel like answering them or you already answered them ❤️ Fancy a fun question chain to pass around f1blr?? Over to you, lovely!
Name (or what you want to be called on tumblr)
Where are you from?
Where do you live?
Any pets?
Favorite driver(s) currently on the grid, and why?
Favorite driver(s) not currently on the grid and why?
Favorite romantic driver pairing(s) (e.g. Maxiel, Carlando)
Driver you’re most attracted to physically
Driver whose personality you like best
Favorite driver friendship(s)
Favorite team principal
Favorite team
Least favorite team, if any
Driver(s) you dislike, if any
If you’re a fic writer: if you could only write about one f1 pairing for the rest of your life who are you choosing?
Please send this to 10 (or more!) other F1 tumblr users that you love and want to get to know better 🫶
Name (or what you want to be called on tumblr):
Dima! although fun fact, the name Dima is as in the diminutive of Dmitri 🫣 When I made this account I didn't wanna use my real name, and I was figuring out my gender identity back then (but I knew I was leaning more towards the masculine side of things) and I just loved the name Dmitri so I chose Dima since it can be both feminine and masculine
Where are you from?
I don't really try to hide it but I'm not gonna outwardly say it :p I can speak Arabic tho, I'll give ya that
Where do you live?
[Insert Wherever I May Roam by Metallica]
Any pets?
YES! I have a little kitty cat, she's my love and delight, her name is an Arabic word for rainy clouds due to her color and floof (and it was raining the night I got her). We also have an African grey parrot but that's my mom's and he's a jerk, we have a love-hate relationship.
Favorite driver(s) currently on the grid, and why?
Carletes <3 It started as simply his intelligence and driving style; he got a great balance of artistry/elegance and scrappiness, then it became because of him as a person. And of course Landito, he's such a talented driver and it's so fun watching him grow.
Favorite driver(s) not currently on the grid and why?
Seb and Kimi. Is there much needed to be said about Seb? Dude's a legend, not mentioning all the activist work he does. Kimi was a fricking joy to watch! All that 'leave me alone I know what to do' attitude is a *chef's kiss* (then it's even more exciting when he loses it lol) and I can already see some of that in Carlos and I'm here for it.
Favorite romantic driver pairing(s) (e.g. Maxiel, Carlando)
Carlando obvs, and I do like Maxiel as well.
Driver you’re most attracted to physically
Hear me out, I'm frothing for a certain Spaniard but I can't deny that Kimi got one hell of a chock hold on me :") AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON LEWIS GOOD GOD (sorry Landito, lucky for you you got an Adonis of your own you don't need me)
Driver whose personality you like best
I always love me a smart dork (Carlos), and a black cat (Lando). And there's this type of guys that I have always attracted for some reason, I can't name it but I can distinguish it and it applies to (Esteban Ocon) bet you didn't see that one coming.
Favorite driver friendship(s)
Lando/Alex/George are pretty fun together, and so are Lando and Oscar. And of course Lewis/Seb
Favorite team principal
humm..I don't really get into the principals much, but if I gotta choose one then probably Toto. I've seen some of his interviews and he seems like an intelligent person and I really enjoy listening to him.
Favorite team
I don't wanna say Ferrari or McLaren since they obviously have my boys so other than those I would say Williams or Aston Martin
Least favorite team, if any
......Fer*gunshot* IM KIDDING I SWEAR
Driver(s) you dislike, if any
Listen, I don't HATE him, and it's more vibes than any other logical reason but George. He looks like a Ken doll and is so Posh! And I'm posh in real life, yet his poshness still bothers me! It's better when he's with other drivers, especially the trio, but when he's by himself it's just so concentrated and comes off...???
If you’re a fic writer: if you could only write about one f1 pairing for the rest of your life who are you choosing?
I will miss Maxiel and Strollonso but my man I can't live without my Carlando

So if you've been around here for a while, you'll know that I have a love/hate relationship with DTS. I love it because it came out soon after I became an F1 fan and through it, I was able to learn a lot of the technicalities of the sport much quicker than I would've otherwise. I love it because of the funny moments we get from Guenther Steiner and the moments we got from Cyril Abiteboul (iykyk) and the moments we get from Toto Wolff. I love seeing all of the intricacies of the sport and getting to see what it's really like to behind the scenes and I think, in this aspect, the show has and has had a lot of potential. That being said, I hate that they overdramatize the show and I hate that they bring in plot lines that don't need to be there. For example, family/relationship drama, random statements that don't need to be made, when they show drivers at their absolute lowest, and just when they do things that are completely unnecessary in general. I also hate it because it seems as though the sport is now trying to stage dramatics in order to create a more interesting reality show. But anyway, I love the tea I love the chisme I love the educational moments and I hate what it's done to the sport. Let's get into it.
Drive to Survive Season 5 Episode 1 "The New Dawn" Thoughts & Opinions (Below the cut if you want to avoid spoilers)
Excuse me but why tf are we getting flashbacks to AD21? At the same time, I'm glad no one is forgetting. Good. Let them keep showing it. But I still hate to see it.
GUENTHERRRRRR I love that it's opening with him after that mess. A ray of pessimistic sunshine I adore him.
I had no idea Haas and Ferrari shared components until now, but looking back at last season, the math is indeed mathing, unfortunately.
Just learned Binotto makes wine as well. News to me. Only a few minutes in and already so many new facts.
This vineyard looks so beautiful and peaceful. Mentally I am there.
Now they're flashing back to all of Charles' downfalls last season. Why does DTS insist on giving me montages of pain?
"This is more close to Top Gun than a documentary." - Toto Wolff, DTS Season 5 Ep 1. Remember this moment. Icon. Legend.
Will Buxton literally always looks like Will Schuester from Glee in a way and it bothers me.
Lewis looks so cool. Like he can just be standing there, sunglasses on, minding his business, and he's still effortlessly the coolest person in the room.
Carlos talking about how good the Ferrari car is, is giving me literal pain. Little did they know. Little did we know.
Charles saying that he thought they'd have the opportunity for the world championship. More pain.
Nah Chr*stian, we don't hate because you're winning, we hate because your team and more specifically the winner on your team repeatedly says racist, sexist, and ableist things. But sure, think it's because people are jealous.
MAGNUSSEN. Honestly bringing him back was such a good call. He did phenomenally well last year in that shitty little car. Good for him.
Daniel talking about trying to find balance in the car. Pain once again.
Not gonna lie, I zoned out for a minute. It's late here and I'm starting to get sleepy lmao.
Haas with the hydraulic leak. I forgot this even happened tbh. It feels so long ago.
Rbr honestly seems so toxic to work for. Their drivers still did well, and they're only talking down to them/about them. Like...y'all have a good car. You have fast drivers...like...calm down and be at least a bit more decent and respectful. Fuck's sake.
Hearing Guenther speaking Italian is a new experience. I'm sure he has before, I just don't remember hearing it until now.
Zoned out for a minute again. May have slept for a moment idk.
DOUBLE FERRARI AND LEWIS PODIUM. I forgot how beautiful this moment was I swore this would be the best season it all felt possible in this moment.
"That's exactly how we should start a season." Yes Charles, it is. Now let's do it again this year please.
FORZA FERRARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well. That's over. I'm gonna go to sleep now. I was so hyped for this, but tbh, the show is kind of boring. It's just kind of pointless. It's different from what I remember. Do I no longer enjoy the tea or the chisme? Maybe not. Maybe I just want to watch the sport and let that be that. I'll have to keep watching tomorrow when I'm more awake and figure out the verdict then.

BOY am I glad someone else brought up the mentioning of a certain race by DR3 stans
If I ever EVER hear people comparing Monza and Sochi 21 I will fucking lose my mind because you literally cannot compare them as examples of talent
Monza: let's not forget two key drivers of the 21 season who both DNF'd via their cars getting it on who probably could've made for a very different outcome had one or both of them stayed in the race, and let's not forget that it was team orders that had the 1-2 end up in that order because they didn't want to risk what happened with Lewis and Max they wanted a good result
Sochi: our boy got pole, our boy led that whole fucking race, our boy got fucked over by a team who couldn't give him an executive order to box and had shittier weather measuring than merc did and that's what ultimately led to the result that happened. Our boy STILL got driver of the day cuz he fucking deserved it and literally couldn't get enough compliments from other drivers, commentators, journalists, even some driving legends made comments on what a performance it was
and my extra point (which I'm mad I can't remember who made the post so if someone finds it, legend) is the wonderful person who made the 21 season but adjusted to have no merc or redbull and guess who would've became youngest ever world champ beating both Ferraris and winning a fuck tonne of those races 😇
(ok rant over I'm going to bed ❤️)
presented without comment ❤️

The beginning of the new budgetary and technical stage in Formula 1 has begun.
We all trusted that this new stage would come to give us many surprises, in Bahrain everything seemed to be like this, a new domain, Ferrari started the season strong, but little by little it was the impetus for Red Bull to return to the path of success, which step by step was matching the championship.
F1 visited a new venue in the American Atlantic for the first time in May, and with red flag races on all 3 street circuits soon after giving us edge-of-our-seat moments, it was well worth the wait for to rain stop in Japan allowed us to witness a championship that nobody expected could be defined and that made us all confused at the end.
4 protagonists this year gave their best for a large part of the season: the defending champion hungry for victories who led him to win the 2nd championship, his faithful Mexican teammate who dazzled his driving style on street circuits in the rain, a Monegasque who was self-critical with every mistake made on the track that led him to go for the runner-up spot and a Spaniard who amazed us at Silverstone for more inventions that his team made on the radio.
Those who will leave a vacant seat are also worth mentioning especially. The smiles are eternal, Daniel will have to do a lot of reflection, although he will always smile about what he will have to look forward to if he wants to continue in 2024. And two Germans: a four-time world champion who put his heart into each season and leaves us with a legacy that we will hardly return let's see, as well as his disciple, the son of another legend who faced many difficulties in a very limited team that unfortunately could not ensure his continuity. Only time will tell if we see any of the three of them return.
And it is fair to honor that visionary Austrian businessman who, thanks to that energy drink brand, led him to venture into the world of motorsport, founding a great emporium within F1 that has witnessed great domains for a decade.
More than 300 km away from the Yas Marina circuit, the World Cup has started in Qatar, and this event decrees the end of the 2022 Formula 1 season today. In FormulaGrafica this year, this expansion to other parts of the internet became a huge challenge. We learned a lot from other categories in the year and we let creativity give a touch of passion for other teams and drivers in the world, but it has been quite difficult in a large part of the year, in 2023 there will be significant changes from now on for the good for this concept to be more productive and popular, for this it is important to have your support so that this blog is better known and that more fans can join receiving the best wallpaper content in motorsport.
I’m sure that it will be so, for now, FormulaGrafica says goodbye to this year and will take a break until the month of January. However, Santa Claus promised to save a present before Christmas and be able to give it to you before that day, so stay tuned for that.
Thank you very much for being with this blog during this year. We'll see you again when motorsport activity starts in 2023. Hope you can still support us!
¡¡¡Keep accelerate your passion!!! 🏁 🏁 🏁

A General History of F1: 90s Babies
The 90s was an interesting time in F1. It still had the flavor of classic F1, with drivers like Senna racing until the mid 90s. However, this was also a time of worldwide technological advancement. The cars started to become more and more like what we see today, and attention on F1 boomed. The television age lent itself to drawing in worldwide spectators, and F1 drivers become less like athletes and more like celebrities.
Legends like Michael Schumacher, Mika Häkkinen, and Jacques Villeneuve were starting to dominate, the beginning of the third generation rearing its head. In fact, it was during the season the racing world lost Senna that Schumacher won his first world title. If the world was a book, I would say that is a rather morbidly obvious way to display the death of classically traditional F1 and the birth of modern F1.
But I am getting ahead of myself. At least in the early part of the 90s, classic F1 was still alive and well. Senna, Prost and Nigel Mansell all held titles during this part of the millenium, and it was a time of rivalrous barbs, controversial driving moves, and much more. Most famously, Senna purposely crashed into Prost in order to secure his own championship. Perhaps Prost was right when he said Senna wanted to destroy him.
This was also the time that political clout became more paramount in the paddock. Wow, thats a tongue twister. But really, with how famous these men had gotten and how much money they were now dealing with, its unlikely they wouldn't try to take the advantage by using their clout. Thats how Alain Prost did it, anyway.
From the sidelines, after a terrible couple of years and the dropping of the famous rivalry, Prost used his influence with a few teams, plus favor from an admiring Frank Williams, to get himself into the best seat on the grid for 1993. The Williams seat. In doing so, he jumped up the grid again. Prime Prost was back.
This resurgence of the Prost-Senna rivalry was intense, and when the next year Senna set himself to be Prost's teammate yet again, Prost retired. Openly, he said he left because he could not do another partnership with Senna. And so the greatest F1 rivalry of all time ended with a whimper, not a bang.
Well Senna, Prost, and the Old World still had a grip on F1 in the early 90s, the latter half was where this New World took. So did also, new teams. Well, new old. Williams and Mclaren had major success in F1 for a while, but only Mclaren would stay afloat in the late 90s. At the core of this is young engineer Adrian Newey,
Many of you may recognize this name, but few pay attention to his history. Newey was a Williams aerodynamic specialists when he joined the F1 world in 1990, and was a tremendous asset. Under his guidance Williams saw multiple championship wins and he was seen as the core of their success. But in 1997, he left Williams and thus spelled the end of their major successes, switching over to Mclaren instead. His special brand of skill would win Mika Häkkinen his two titles.
But with the 2000s came the resurgence of Michael Schumacher and Ferrari. For Schumacher, he had not won a title since '95. For Ferrari, it was even longer than that. But for the next five years they will reign supreme. This will be longest period of dominance in F1 history until the future Mercedes Era.
Cheers,
-B
