My silly little imagine is I think that Chrissy’s death was horrible and incredibly traumatizing to Eddie and I think that after everything if they’d somehow found her alive in the Upside Down (the victims were on Vecna’s pillar things fite me) I think if he saw her again after all that he’d be so relieved and give her the biggest hug like full on wrapped in his arms rocking back and forth maybe even falling down and hugging in a heap on the ground and I think he’d try to stay close to her for the rest of the whole ordeal and get protective, scared she’ll die again or get taken by Vecna. And then later after it’s all over, after they get out of the Upside Down, maybe they’re driving home or on their way to the police station to clear Eddie’s name and somebody else is driving and Eddie and Chrissy are in the backseat and they’re both just wiped and they fall asleep and Chrissy’s leaning against Eddie with his arm still wrapped tightly around her and they’re just napping that way. I just think Chrissy and Eddie as a little traumatized duo sticking close together.

Chapter 2

A/N: yes this took me like a month to get to fite me /lh but really i'm planning to update this from now on every monday >:)) i have it slated for 6 chapters as of right now, but that may change

“We’ll do what you want just... please, let us go,” Your arms are held up like you were trying to calm a wild animal that’s cornered you, and in a way you were.

The temple shakes in response, pebbles and debris clatter as the urge to step back away from your possessed partner overwhelms you, only to be reminded of the damp wall trapping you from behind. You slowly reach into your bag to retrieve the stolen idol and match your words with your actions.

Trembling fingers hold out the object to the being in front of you as he lets out a huff of disbelief.

“You expect me to do it? Put it back, little mortal. You must fix the problem you created.”

You lower your hand, eyes leaving the possessed man to glance back at the idol’s home then back again. Slowly you side step, never taking your eyes off of his glowing ones as you wind your way back to the pedestal. You place the orb back carefully, as if any loud or sudden movements would ruin your chances at making it out of this alive. 

You do as he requested, and the anger that is so foreign on your partner’s face twitches into something else, like the thing possessing him had an idea.

“Good, good. That’s all I was looking for, pet. A little cooperation. You will never return to this site, let alone defile it like you have. I will graciously set you free. Do not forget this mercy, it will be the last thing you remember.”

The being’s voice echoes it’s last word as Illinois’s eyes flicker like an old incandescent bulb before he collapses onto the temple floor, as if all the strength in his body suddenly left. The structure rumbles once again, then falls completely silent as you yell out his name and rush over to him while he grumbles out something incoherent. 

Something in you was screaming there was something wrong, the being had given up too easily. But, you didn’t have time to dwell and waste the opportunity to escape.

Helping him up on his feet and slinging his arm around your shoulder, you frantically look around, the temple having fell almost too silent, “Come on Ill, we gotta get out of here. Now.”

Regaining some of his consciousness, he stumbles along with your guiding steps as the two of you trace your way back out of the temple, never looking back. Not feeling safe even as you exit and are embraced with the warm sunlight of day.

The trip back to the motel the two of you were staying at was a blur of speeding and frantic movement. Everything in both of your bodies told the two of you to get as far from that place as possible.

Thankfully, as the door closed to your rented room, taking a what feels like the first breath in a couple of hours. You slump against the door frame and feel the adrenaline leak out of your body, replacing itself with pure exhaustion.

No matter what you felt, just looking at Illinois let you know he fared worse. The bags under his eyes and ashen tone his skin had taken made it look like he hadn’t slept or seen the sun in weeks. The two of you just looked at each other for a moment before you rushed over to him and gave him possibly one of the tightest hugs you’ve ever given. Tears warned themselves at the edges of your eyes as you finally start to process what had really happened to him, what might've happened.

“I-I could have lost you,” your voice wavered as you buried yourself deeper into his chest.

A raspy, tired voice let out above you while he pet your hair gently, “Darlin’, it’s all ok now. We’re safe. I’m not goin’ anywhere, even if I could get out of your grip.” he teased with a light chuckle.

You pulled back to look at him as you muttered out a sorry and wiped your nose, still feeling guilty even though you know he was just joking. How he could still kid around in a state like this was beyond you, but it made just a hint of a smile appear on your lips. Maybe that was the reason, are you that blind?

A hand came up to his cheek, feeling the scruff underneath your hand, “You look exhausted, you should try and get some sleep.”

Illinois huffed incredulously at that, ever so slowly removing your hand away from his face, but keeping it in his grip, “I know, but I don’t think I’ll be able to, at least not tonight. Every time I close my eyes, I feel like I can still see that place…”

“Here…” you trailed off as you led him by his hand to the bed on your side of the room, and led him to strip some layers off and get under the covers. You follow, and nestle yourself into each other’s arms. No matter what it may have looked like from an outside perspective, neither of you had any intention than to comfort, be something solid and real for one another to hold onto.

You two lay there for a few moments, relishing in the calming silence that surrounded you. Illinois visibly softened after a bit, releasing the tension in his body, even if just a little.

Your partner’s hand absentmindedly strokes your side and he speaks up, “Listen, I- an experience like that, it makes ya think about what’s important in life. What really matters, y’know?” It’s barely a whisper and filled with apprehension, like dipping his toes into water to test its temperature.

You hum as you trail a hand through his hair, not wanting to interrupt where he was going with this.

“I’m not… new to any of this. I’ve had close friends and partners that have… they’ve —” he trails off, with as a frustrated of a huff as he can muster, “What I’m trying to say is… I…”

I don’t care. I’m willing to deal with that risk. You’re the first person to truly make me feel this way. Why am I so nervous around you? That’s not me, I’m the charming one, the one who always flirts with people, always has something witty to say. So why can’t I say this? Everyone else before feels like a silly fling compared to this ache in my chest. I can’t think straight when I’m around you, because I’m so in lo—

He pushes down the memory of how easy all of this was when that… thing possessed him, how the words just slipped out, his true feelings finally being able to get to you, filled with confidence and not dripping with dread like you’ll end up just like the others.

He can't do it again, he isn't strong enough.

After a bit too long he finishes, “just… thank you. Thank you for saving me, partner.”

“Of course, Illi. I know you’d do the same, we’re in this together,” You reply with a soft smile as you gently close your eyes and make your way closer into him. Illinois followed suit, only seeing darkness when he closed his eyes with the weight of you near him. Before long, exhaustion took the both of you off to sleep.

Dark's form is malleable, being an eldritch entity and all. He adjusted his height early on in his existence to spite Actor. When he learns you like em big, he adjusts accordingly. Man likes to loom over you before he starts anything kinky.

Wilford was always a big bitch. The Colonel had a vibe of 'Big Edwardian Boxer/Strongman' so it checks out that he's a big dude. Pink swirly chest hair. Loves to pick you up. Bear hugs.

Yancy has that bottom energy so getting to dominate a big boy is 👌 He loves it that you are smaller than him, but the size difference makes him want to brat so you gotta lay down the law. He also found it hot when you handed him his whole ass in the prison fite despite the size difference, so 👀

Heist!Mark finds his size to be a bit problematic in the more delicate thieving that you do, but it helps to have muscle for the dirty parts or if you have to 'negotiate'. He's cocky about it when he learns you like it. He's also into risky fun times so he likes to drag you to the side during heists and uh... ya know. ;)

Illinois uses his size and strength in a similar way to Heist, to 'negotiate' problems. He will absolutely grab you and carry you through dangerous traps, all the while teasing you about how small you are/essentially calling you a damsel of sorts.

Engineer!Mark forgets how big he is, sometimes. It's not a problem until he gets stuck in a vent or can't maneuver in a section of the wall when fixing something. Insert 'Step-Captain' joke here

He has switchy? soft!dom vibes, and will use that size against you to make you feel small. Smh Captain, can't believe you got out-maneuvered by your lead engineer. Don't think about the 'Don't.' with big Engineer. ;)

Actor... purposefully made himself taller at one point, once he gained a handle on the malleablility of his new body and command over the void. Raiden Headcanons

This man is obviously touch-starved lol. There are at times when he would not like being touched, getting rather distant. But when he receives affection for the first time, he wouldn't get tired of it. You would see him trying to lowkey sneak a hand-holding, but then you will just chuckle and give into it anyway, holding his hand and making him sigh in relief.

I can imagine in fairs, this cliche dating scene where he will OBVIOUSLY try to compete in winning you a prize, for you and sunny, but mostly for you, in an absolutely OBVIOUS rigged game. This man's determined to see you smile, even if you told him the game was rigged, he could easily slice up the whole place in half if he didn't get you that teddy bear 😭

Speaking of chocolate, he misses his sense of taste. (maybe he can still taste, idk much abt cyborg, he only consumes like -- those Gatorade the dok gave him.) another hot take: I do Not like Ei and it fucking ANNOYS me how you're expected to agree with treating the Shogun as something subhuman and Ei is now your ~bestest fwend ever~

She made two wholeass persons and one was thrown in the garbage while the other seems to be having a crisis due to not being able to act on her programming, it would be less worrying if the Shogun didn't have her own personality that's very obviously separate from Ei

they crossed the line from being "just AI" when the Shogun seemed actually distressed when you meet her at the start of the Story quest, because she can't do the thing she was specifically made to do

anyway I finished the quests that cleared out the storms on the islands in Inazuma and then completed the quest for... this place.

Caught up with the Pokemon 2019 anime and I,,, just want,,, Koharu to show up for more than five minutes in an episode plz,,, 

Like don’t get me wrong I love Gou so much but Koharu kind of just seems to exist in the background and she’s so interesting??? I mean, compared to Gou she’s going to school (taking her life seriously as compared to Gou who lives life frivolously), seems to have a dislike of weird, crazy strangers (Ash), and is both exasperated by Gou but seemingly a tad fond of him (though if I’m honest they seem more like distant friends than actual ones atm).

I’m really hoping one day we get an episode centered on her or, at least, a series of episodes with some plot (think Mega Evolution Specials/Team Flare arc) that she gets involved in. If only because I think it would be cool to know more about her and see why they put her into the show when so far she’s pretty much background commentary/someone for Gou and Ash to chatter with (which sucks because Koharu’s been pretty funny and interesting so far and I’d love to see her shine more).

Anyways, Koharu’s great and I’m really hoping as the anime progresses she’ll get to show up more and sometimes join the boys on their adventures. I like the fact she’s the sane one of the three and at least tries to keep Gou in line (when she’s not minding her own business in her own life, ofc) and I sincerely hope she gets more screentime in the anime down the road

Casual touch tally: Season 1

So idk where we got the idea that Five doesn’t like physical contact and always has a negative reaction, so I’ve decided to do a tally of all the casual/gentle/non-violent touches he accepts or gives throughout season 1. (I wlll not be counting the Handler because I think it’s usually with malicious intent or for manipulation, so therefore I wouldn’t really consider it casual.) So basically, any touch that is not for violence or out of absolute necessity. 

1x01:

Young Five stands shoulder to shoulder with Klaus and Ben outside the bank and lets Klaus lean on him.

Five allows Vanya to clean the cut on his arm and touch his hand.

1x02:

Five catches Luther’s arm when he tries to touch him and look at his injury. But I just want to point out that this is after a pretty bad fight that left him shaken and vulnerable. Then the scene immediately launches into a traumatic flashback.

1x04:

Drunk Five allows Luther to carry him all the way to Diego’s place and passes out/falls asleep like that.

1x05:

Five lets his arm rest against Luther’s as they wait in the car for Hazel and Cha Cha

1x06:

Five crashes onto the bar/table and lets Luther and Allison help him off without any protest or negative reaction.

1x07:

I think? Five briefly touches Diego’s arm here as they’re on their way out to go find Harold Jenkins.

Five stands shoulder to shoulder with Diego in the attic because what is personal space. 🤣

Five doesn’t really have much of a choice at this point, but he allows Allison and Diego to check on him and touch his face and look at his wound after he collapses. He also allows them to carry him even after regaining consciousness.

He is unconscious again when we see him next, but presumably he allowed himself to be carried again because Diego and Allison set him on the couch, but next time we see him he’s in his room and also allowed Grace to tend to his wound.

1x08:

Five stands/walks shoulder to shoulder with Klaus as they come out of Klaus’ room. Again, Hargreeves dont really care about personal space lol

Five let’s Klaus touch his arm and help him out the door as they leave the bar Luther was at.

Luther taps Five’s shoulder when he leans into the front seat of the car to ask Five if he can speed up. Granted, Five threatens to burn him with the cigarette lighter, but that’s about annoying him, not about the touch.

1x09:

Five again brushes shoulders with Klaus while they’re talking to Diego after concluding that they can’t find Vanya. I know it’s small, but I think it demonstrates he doesn’t really have a problem with personal space.

Five let’s Hazel tap him on the shoulder as he moves to sit down with him at the bar.

Five pats the department store employee on the arm as he walks by.

1x10:

It’s hard to tell but when everyone rushes to Vanya after she collapses onstage, it looks like Five reaches out and touches her.

I don’t know if this really counts because it’s necessary, but Five holds Allison and Diego’s hands while they time travel.

Conclusion: Five only refused touch when he was feeling vulnerable, which is something others in the show do as well. Diego even refused Grace’s touch when he was getting the tattoo in 1x01.

This is just season 1, I’m pretty confident there’s quite a bit more in season 2 so I’ll be doing a follow-up post at some point.
