Hello hello! This is Relating to the prison au and the idea suddenly came to me but how would it differ if the mc was a a lot younger like an intern? I tried searching more if it was even allowed to be a med student intern in a prison but I dunno I just thought it was a neat idea, like if she appeared like an optimistic platonic younger sister more than a romantic interest? Aaaa sorry English isn't my first language I hope the idea got through ^^'
I want to congratulate you, anon... you're the first person in a long time to ask something related to prison au that has never been asked before!
Sans: Unfortunately, he'll be even worse. More manipulative, more possessive... more evil. With an older Mc he might see her as easy to manipulate, but he still absolutely views her as her own person- he'd do bad stuff but he (at least) would still respect her opinions and choices. When she's young, he does not respect her opinions and choices. She's just a kid who doesn't know better, someone who needs him to make the big decisions on her behalf.
The worst part is, once he attaches, he sees her like a little sister. It really fucks up his mind- all of those messy, dark, painful feelings about Papyrus, all that unresolved grief from losing one younger sibling... he doesn't care what happens to anyone. Or anything. So long as he doesn't lose any more family.
He's kind to her; oh-so-kind, a sweet and goofy older brother figure who makes terrible puns and chats to her for hours about her favourite videogames. But he's a terrifying empty creature, and he's absolutely going to use her youth and inexperience to his advantage, to make her trust him more than everyone else. Nothing is off the table.
Red: Red adores her. Much like Sans, he ends up in something of a 'big brother' role- the difference is that Red's connection with her is a lot healthier and gentler, with a decent amount of friendly 'fighting' (tossing harmless insults at each other). He turns into a different person around her; he minds his language somewhat, he manages his temper better, although he teases her his teasing never has any venom and he'll drop jokes that upset her. He was built to be a big brother, and he misses his Papyrus a lot- it feels good to have a bond like that with someone again.
(Speaking of Papyrus- he loves Mc too. He sees the effect she has on Red and he absolutely wants to encourage the positive growth. Also... he always wanted a younger sibling.)
Red makes jokes about giving her contraband or getting her in trouble, and her presence in his life has put her firmly on the inmate no-touch list. Red may be a criminal, and he may associate with people who have done terrible things... but he reserves the worst of the worst punishments for those who hurt kids, and his family. Let alone both.
She's been adopted by the mob.
Skull: Skull's intense feelings about Mc in the prison aus aren't really specifically romantic or platonic in the first place. It's his Soul crying out for love and connection after so long alone. They're just Skull Feelings- so a platonic Mc would see the same degree of insanity, desperation and clinginess from our darling cannibal as her older nurse counterpart.
But... I think he would be a bit better with her, overall. Mc being noticeably younger, in his eyes, makes her more 'fragile'- both emotionally and physically. That nagging thought of i need to be careful and responsible would centre him a little more, make him more aware, gentle and slow. In the same way he wouldn't want to frighten a small child, he doesn't want to frighten her; he moves like hes trying not to spook away a small animal. He'd be better at smiling.
... He would still get moments where he can't help himself. Moments where he snaps out of restraints and grabs her, moments where he attacks other staff for getting too close to her. But he tries.

Analysis of Nuzi in Episode 7
Tumblr media
[MAJOR MURDER DRONES SPOILERS]
Okay! I've been wanting to rant about these two for ages so I'm happy to get this out haha. I'll try to make this post a little more comprehensible than the last one (no promises).
I'll try to keep this in chronological order.
-
Tumblr media
So before I move ahead, let me get this out of the way.
N still cares about V, but I don't think he's thought about her in a romantic sense since at most, the end of episode 3. He absolutely sees her as family and deeply cares for her. Hence why he immediately starts freaking out and attacking the rubble blocking the elevator shaft.
He is desperately trying to get his family back.
So desperately that he unintentionally hurts someone else he immensely cares for.
He forgets about Uzi's condition in his blind panic, but upon remembering he becomes almost ridden with guilt. Uzi likely already feels terrible because of the loss of V and not being able to do anything to help N since she physically is unable to at this moment. It seems N understands this and tries to remedy this by telling Uzi "It's okay," and apologizing profusely.
He doesn't want Uzi to put anything else on her shoulders and backtracks so fast here.
And when Uzi tells N she's sorry, for both N's loss of V and her own inability to help N get back up the elevator shaft, she sounds so upset for N. There's nothing she can do for him here, and she knows this.
Tumblr media
It's almost amusing how N gives "Tessa" a death glare here. As the series has gone on N has become less and less of a pushover, no doubt because of Uzi. If N had run into Tessa in any episode from 1-3. it would have been easier for Cyn to manipulate him.
But because she waited so long, N has built such a genuinely healthy and stable relationship with Uzi. One where both parties mutually care about each other and treat each other like equals (which should be normal but of course, this isn't the case for N or Uzi).
But something else to be noted here is the regression of both Uzi and N's characters at this moment.
Because while N is definitely making progress on standing his ground, and letting his own opinions be known, he is still faced with a non-choice. Instead of immediately deciding to question his old friend, he tries to compromise.
It's an old behavior met with an old friend vs a new behavior met with a new friend. He is trying to still somewhat appease "Tessa" while making it known that he isn't willing to hurt Uzi. But he never discusses this with Tessa herself aside from this moment, where he does so with Uzi present and out of the loop.
Let's take a look at Uzi's reaction when N tells her they won't hurt her.
Tumblr media
She is scared.
Her eyes dart back and forth between the duo in front of her, putting her hand up in defense to try and subconsciously protect herself.
She doesn't understand what is happening, but she isn't stupid. She knows this means something happened- something regarding her, that's been decided on without her knowledge or input.
And with how much we like to joke about how dopey N is, he does seem very emotionally intelligent at times, especially here. He realizes his mistake immediately, his placating expression of trying to reassure Uzi drawing back as he drags his hand back, startled at her negative reaction.
Tumblr media
After the solver accidentally activates from Uzi (unsure if Cyn activated it on purpose or if Uzi herself activated it by accident because of her distress- I can see both being factors), N tries to reach out to her. To bring her back to his side, to him.
He holds his palm upwards to her, physically trying to tell her 'I am here, with you, let me help.' And as he steps towards her, she moves away from him.
Uzi's trust in him has been damaged. She is scared and instead of letting N help her, or allowing him to try and explain what's happening, she hunches over and guards herself from him. She isolates herself, their relationship crumbling like the cave around them.
And N? Once Uzi is out of his view? His hand switches from welcoming to pleading. As in, he reaches out to her, trying to get her back even if he doesn't actually do anything to make it so. He is reeling from what he's done to make her feel like she can no longer trust him, to come to him for his aid. His demeanor is now 'Please wait, come back, don't leave me, I am sorry.'
Maybe not exactly those words, but it's obvious that he doesn't want her to leave. So much so that he forgets to even protect himself (or even "Tessa") from the debris falling around them.
Tumblr media
When N wakes up, he immediately tries to free himself and desperately calls for Uzi.
And yes, Uzi is his first thought. He doesn't know where she is, or if she's okay, but his first instinct is to find her, because 'is she okay? Where is she, where are you?' is definitely what N is thinking when trying to find her, even though he can't move.
Tumblr media
N is distressed, and after not being able to attract Uzi back to him via shouting, he gets ready to saw off his own arm.
He isn't just saying "I deserve this," because he chopped off Uzi's arm in the last episode, although that is part of it. He's saying he deserves this because he drove Uzi off, didn't confide in her, let her know what was happening, and scared her off in the process.
He is also sawing at the arm that he had held Uzi's hand with -- once again, the same hand that he sliced off to try and stop the solver. Interesting parallel there (at least it's another thing they have in common...?). His hand is absolutely crushed. That's not an accident, the team deliberately shows this -- and this is the result of N's actions (or lack thereof).
...sucks that both hands that had held each other are now destroyed (that's not me trying to be philosophical, just me being sad).
Tumblr media
Cut here, and N is immediately ready to tell Uzi what he's learned, sprinting to find her. Probably due to the fact that he's discovered that his crush's mother is still alive but...
Tumblr media
When told not to inform Uzi of Nori's existence by the woman herself, N upright denies her request; he's learned from his previous mistake and that lying (via omission) is not something he's going to do, especially not with Uzi.
And while certain information may hurt Uzi, he never wants what happened with Uzi to happen again. He doesn't want her to be afraid of him, or unsure of his intentions because N just wants to help and support her in any and every way he can.
He only relents that he won't tell Uzi, as long as Nori does. This is a bit different from the situation with "Tessa" since A) Nori is Uzi's mother, she really should be the one telling Uzi about her maternal status, and B) He is expecting her to actually inform Uzi of this. Not a "maybe, if needed," situation, a "you can wait until you're ready, but you will tell her," situation.
Tumblr media
Back with "Tessa," N finally confronts her, giving her one chance and one chance only.
And Tessa, not used to this new version of N, does not heed his warning, and is promptly dealt with.
N is pissed... and it makes sense as to why. "Tessa" is attempting to force N to kill his best friend, the first one to really talk to him after who knows how long of being stuck with V ignoring him and J berating him.
Uzi has her own bite, but it's never in a way meant to harm or insult N. That's just how she is, and she and N have an excellent bond as the series moves forward.
Tessa is jeopardizing this, mocking him, and calling him "cute," and even tries to monologue to him. But N doesn't let her, because she's already made him hurt Uzi enough and he's at his last leg here. He's done.
Tumblr media
And he's still shaken from killing Tessa.
He went full disassembly mode, maybe to make it easier, to kill her.
He is actively struggling, breathing heavily, and having to use the blade he beheaded Tessa with to hold himself up.
Tumblr media
Despite this, when "Uzi" grabs at the patch, he snaps out of his stupor to address her. Trying to cope with what just happened. He calls her "buddy," which he really only calls her once in episode three when referring to both of them as "dapper buddies."
Just something interesting to point out, since Cyn took control of Uzi immediately after N "got rid of her body "killed" her. He's called Cyn "buddy," before (although, he called the birds trying to kill him buddies as well, so not sure how that pans out).
When he says it here it almost feels like a coping mechanism. Trying to take care of his loved ones in any way he can. Also, note how he still has an 'x' as an optic. Likely due to the stress he's been put through.
Once he somewhat collects himself, he attempts to tell Uzi that all he needs is her, and for them to stay together.
Their short time away from each other did not favor them. N admits to both himself and Uzi that he doesn't like being away from her and that he needs her to be by his side.
And Uzi definitely could've used him when she found the recording of her mother.
Tumblr media
It's a bit harder to analyze Uzi's moments since a lot of it is just herself dealing with her own issues. This is still important, but not a lot of it deals with N, aside from the fact that, yes, N being here would've been preferable (unless I missed some stuff in the middle of this episode).
Cyn reveals herself, having taken control of Uzi, and we really see how sinister she can be.
Tumblr media
Make no mistake, that is indeed a heart around Uzi, formed with Cyn's... claw... like appendages.
This is also deliberately put here by the team because they do not want us to doubt N's feelings for Uzi (it gets a lot more heavy-handed, too).
But the most important part here is N's reaction to seeing Uzi. When Cyn turns and shows Uzi's face, N visibly falters, expression growing more upset. He doesn't shoot her. Cyn notices this and smiles because she now sees the advantage she has over N.
Tumblr media
And boy, does she take advantage.
This is probably my favorite part of this entire combat scene. N tries to essentially threaten Cyn here from further hurting Nori, trying to get her to back off.
Except, Cyn sees this as an opportunity to toy with him.
Maybe I'll one day do an analysis on Cyn, but she takes active pleasure in seeing N's suffering. When he holds his blade to her neck, he actually takes a moment to look at Cyn in the face, waiting for her next move.
And Cyn grabs that blade and slowly starts jabbing it into Uzi's neck. Because this is who N is now seeing: he is seeing Cyn hurt Uzi and he doesn't know what to do.
You see him visibly gasp, as he notices what Cyn's doing, and is still unable to make himself move (unless, of course, N is now actively trying to get the blade away from Uzi, but it doesn't seem like that's what's happening here).
Scratch that, while it's not immediately obvious, there are minuscule movements of the blade after Cyn starts stabbing Uzi - like N is trying to get it away from Uzi's neck while keeping eye contact with Cyn. He may still be seeing Uzi instead of Cyn at this moment (likely struggling between the two).
Something else to point out is that N is shaking even before Cyn grabs the blade. If you look at the tip of the weapon it's easier to tell. Again, chalking it up to not wanting to actually hurt Uzi.
Tumblr media
This is a very nice parallel back to episode three. Aside from the hand-chopping part. Lots of limbs have been lost recently.
Ignoring the fact N was just raining fire down on Uzi, which is one of two times (don't quote me on that) he gets properly lethal, he tries hard here to not hurt her- almost like he's trying to get Uzi back in control.
It's hard to see here, but N is actually smiling as he holds Uzi's hand. Probably similar to what he does later - he is trying to remind Uzi of herself. Aside from the eyes, it feels like Uzi is reacting to this, looking surprised, before Nori takes her hand off to stop Cyn from creating more pockets of voids and closing the current ones.
Tumblr media
But Cyn isn't done yet.
Tumblr media
Once again, she uses N's affections against him to save herself. But in doing so, she allows N to finally crack through to Uzi, even if not by much.
Tumblr media
It's comical that this is what helps Uzi gain control again, although what else would we expect? Even so, probably another favorite moment of mine.
Again, if anyone was doubting Nuzi... the team cannot get more obvious than this. Until we get an outright verbal confession... which is yet to be seen, sadly enough.
Unsure if N knew this would help Uzi or if he just wanted to let Nori know about him and Uzi before she died. This may just be him being lovesick for his possessed girlfriend.
Jokes aside, a lot of people took this as N saying they've been dating since episode five. I don't... think that's necessarily the case. I keep seeing the phrase "she fell first, but he fell harder," when discussing Nuzi and honestly? Yeah, he did. But dating since before episode six? That doesn't make sense, since we've been following their relationship since episode one, and it's not like it's irrelevant to the story. It's actually a huge part of Murder Drones, romantic or not, so any developments like the two dating would make more sense to happen in front of the audience and actually be addressed.
I think this is more of him sort of declaring his love for Uzi, in the most N way he can.
Ahh... although the dating part may be a bit irrelevant due to their predicament. They are both somewhat aware of how the other feels but have yet to discuss anything as Uzi states later. Likely due to uh, certain events happening around them.
Tumblr media
When N sees Uzi come to, he starts laughing because of how relieved he is. And then promptly screams in horror at Uzi's next actions (I'm sure Nori is fine).
A small thing, but I thought it was an interesting reaction to have after having fought the previously possessed girl.
Tumblr media
I think the fact that the two defaulted to freaking out after seeing each other is really sweet, funnily enough.
The way the two immediately start bantering, almost frantically, makes it feel like the two are looking for some sort of familiarity after all that's been happening. Moving instinctively closer to each other. Yes, maybe so they don't have to shout; but more importantly, after everything they've gone through, they want to be near each other.
Tumblr media
And when they meet in the middle? They embrace each other, Uzi tightening her own hold and weeping into N's arm. N himself petting and caressing Uzi's head, both to comfort her and reassure himself that she is finally here with him.
...unfortunately, that is not the end of this post, nor the episode (as you've probably guessed).
Tumblr media
After Cyn interrupts and attacks the duo, she descends into her pit of hell where she plans on dragging them.
You can see Uzi desperately trying to reach N, trying to get him to respond. That is her only goal in this moment, making sure that he is okay and alive.
Tumblr media
I feel as if I am repeating myself... but yes, that heart is also purposeful. It's interesting how the tentacles split after forming, proceeding to drag N and Uzi apart with Uzi grasping at the ground trying to get back to N.
It literally tears them away from each other, and you can see how Uzi is forced to let go only to try and grab ahold of N.
Tumblr media
She manages just in time to grab him, while impaling her hand onto some bones sticking up from the fleshy pit to stop both herself and N from falling further.
And we know this isn't a painless process, as drones have been shown to actively show pain. She doesn't care, she is doing all she can to save N, even if it hurts her. You can see how her arm starts ripping apart from her own hand as tentacles begin pulling harder.
But when Uzi sees N wake up, she gives him a smile, with a small, shakey, "Hey."
She knows they're likely about to die. And while N may have clones, Uzi does not. And even so, there's no way Cyn would allow N to remember anything that's happened, Uzi's firewall likely only protecting this N.
And as her final words she begins to thank him. For being her first friend. The first to believe in her. The first to show concern to her. The first to stay with her despite everything.
But when she sees that key?
Tumblr media
She finishes thanking her first love and throws him away from their shared doom.
Uzi is genuinely so glad she's met N, and it shows in her expression here. She is saving the one good thing that has happened to her since her mom left her.
She knows N isn't going to be okay with this, that this won't be easy for him, and won't be easy for her, as she's assuming her own death in saving him.
Tumblr media
Because of this, she doesn't want N's last memory of her to be herself being scared and unsure. So she tells him to "Die Mad," and flings him out of the chapel to both prevent him from attempting to save her and witnessing her death.
And you can see N was ready to jump in, determined to get her back and to save her. He uses his blades once again as a crutch, flaring his wings out in preparation to fly towards her.
Uzi doesn't let him, and for the last time pushing him away to save him from their once-shared fate.
I think Uzi's message to N will come into play later when they inevitably confront Cyn for the last time. Whether or not Uzi is there with him, he won't be able to forgive Cyn for controlling him and hurting him along with his loved ones.
-
And... that's the post! ending on a sad note but uh... we are talking about episode seven so there's no avoiding that haaaah.
If I missed something or you want further discussion feel free to send an ask or reply/respond to this post, love talking about shit.
Take a Nuzi dancing gif to go (I'm also sad now so this is really an excuse to put this at the end of my post).
Tumblr media
Have a good one!

i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE when monica gallagher is written/portrayed as being mean!! i hate it!!! her relationship with any of her children wasn’t a “if you need to be mean, be mean to me” type of situation (because i keep seeing that on tiktok), that’s how frank’s relationship was with his kids. frank used his kids, took his anger out on them, and treated them like they were less than human- that isn’t how monica was.
one of the things that made monica’s existence as a whole hurt her kids is her kindness. monica was always so sweet, she never had a bad thing to say about anyone- that’s what hurt. she would leave her kids and make them feel like they mean nothing, then come back and treat them with such kindness, something they don’t see often, only to leave them again. she would give them everything, and then leave them with nothing. i think that’s why ian and debbie both often fell victim to her, because they were both such victims of frank. i don’t mean that the other kids weren’t also victims, but ian and debbie were in different ways. frank physically and emotionally abused ian, and he used and manipulated debbie constantly. frank would take everything out on the both of them, and being middle children they were lonely and ignored, so when monica comes back and shows them both kindness, love, and actually pays attention to them, they’re drawn to her. they are both so deprived of attention, and for monica to actually see them for once means a lot more to them than it would to the others.
so NO, monica gallagher is not mean. and that’s why she is such a well written character!! i don’t even hate monica, i just hate the circumstances. i hate frank. monica is so sad and one of frank’s biggest victims because i feel like she always had hope that she could fix everything, but she failed. she never wanted kids but frank forced her to, and she couldn’t handle it. we’re meant to be against monica, but at the same time, there’s also this pity that comes with seeing her. she isn’t frank- her intentions were never meant to harm anybody, yet she still did. she’s such a “what if?” type character, too, because you see her being so kind and wanting to fix everything, but she’s also unmedicated- and not necessarily by choice. i don’t know, i don’t like monica for the obvious reasons, but i also love her character. she’s one of the most tragic characters on shameless and as much as i fucking despised for what she did to her kids, i think she deserved a lot better.

Welcome to my Mega Problematic Sylvie post
I wanted to make a list of everything problematic about Sylvie in s1 and s2 because she gets away with whatever she wants and it bugs me to no end that she never takes accountability for any of the pain she causes.
You have been warned. So let's get into it.
Tumblr media
1. Sylvie’s way is the only way and she expects everyone else to just bend to her will without complaint
Tumblr media
2. She is physically mentally and emotionally incapable of trusting anyone besides herself
Tumblr media
3. She uses other people's emotions to manipulate them into getting what she wants
Tumblr media
4. She refuses to even entertain the possibility that anything besides her own opinion is correct
Tumblr media
5. She criticizes others' attempts to clean up the mess she caused while she herself does absolutely nothing about it
Tumblr media
6. Always looking to ruin and run, taking the easy way out and avoiding any accountability
Tumblr media
7. Puts her own need for revenge above the well-being of everyone else in the multiverse
Tumblr media
8. Blames everyone else for the problems she herself caused
Tumblr media
9. Insults everyone at the TVA for their lack of empathy despite it being the exact reason she didn't want to return in the first place. Every critique she delivers just illustrates how much of a hypocrite she is
Tumblr media
10. Berates Mobius and all the people who are actually trying to fix her problem even though they never once blamed her for the mess they're in
Tumblr media
11. Acts like she's doing everyone a favor just for being there and insulting everyone when in reality, Loki had to ask multiple times before finally getting her to return
Tumblr media
12. Never willing to put in more effort than just destroying everything and walking away
Tumblr media
13. Even when directly asked for her help, Sylvie straight up refuses. She couldn't care less about anything besides her McDonald's employee-of-the-month badge
Tumblr media
14. Sylvie gaslights Loki into thinking they're the same, that she's not in the wrong because they're both only thinking of themselves. In reality, Sylvie is thinking only of going back to her own timeline, alone, while Loki is thinking only of making his friends happy, because that's what makes him happy too.
Tumblr media
15. While being completely unsympathetic to Loki struggling with his greatest fear, Sylvie makes the decision that Loki's friend's are all better off where they are now. But is it really better for them, or just better for Sylvie?
Tumblr media
16. And now, after 11 episodes and countless requests for Sylvie's help, she actually cares about the rest of the multiverse. And yet it's still solely because her own timeline is finally in danger
Tumblr media
17. When Loki ends up sacrificing himself to solve the problem Sylvie created, her only response is a joyful shrug that she's now happy, alone, and responsibility-free.
Overall, I know Sylvie's only purpose as a character is to be a darker mirror of Loki and everything she does is understandably informed by her trauma. This is likely a result of having a limited-episode-series and having all male/not diverse writers creating female characters. Sylvie is used only as a comparison to Loki before he met Mobius, and unfortunately is never given any thoughtful character moments like Loki had showing how he was aware that his actions hurt others. In 1x1, Loki talks about how he doesn’t enjoy hurting people and only does it to maintain control. The only time we ever see Sylvie reconsider her actions is when she didn’t kill Timely, which I think is more because she saw herself in Timely as someone who didn’t want to be controlled by their ‘destiny,’ not because she developed any kindness or compassion toward him.
I understand the fact that Sylvie was never given someone like Mobius to allow her the opportunity to change like Loki did, but I don't think that should excuse her causing so much pain and being so self-centered. Sylvie never trusted or cared about anyone and that's also my biggest argument against Sylki; her loving or being driven by anyone besides herself is just so inconsistent with her entire character.
Anyway, my purpose here was not to be hateful or to search for any reason to criticize Sylvie, but instead to look critically at her character since I've seen a lot of people praise her as the strong, independent female Loki whose behavior can always be forgiven. Unfortunately, the way she was written is that Sylvie turned her own trauma into everybody else's problem and they all spent 2 seasons trying to clean up her mess. That's my take thank you and goodnight

Can I add in to that Radio apple situation?
I think Alastor would have a plan in place. He's still pissed about Adam beating him and he can't hurt him physically because Lucifer is protecting him. He can't hurt Lucifer physically because he's the king of fucking hell.
But he can hurt them both emotionally.
So let's say he forces a kiss on Luci just as Adam walks in, the poor sinner runs away heartbroken.
Lucifer pushes him off, beyond pissed now. "What the fuck was that!?"
Alastor laughs, "Good luck cleaning up that mess" He wipes his lips off and vanishes.
Not only does it hurt Adam, but it will get back to Charlie and have her mad at her dad. Because why would her dad do that? He said he loved Adam?
Now Lucifer has to convince Adam of the oldest excuse in the book, even with it being the truth: He kissed me!
It would take A LOT but once they realize what the Bambi fucker was trying to do, they band together to get a little revenge of their own this making their relationship stronger.
The idea of Alastor being THAT PETTY to go and do something that he's canonically so DISGUSTED by is hilarious lol. It's also something that would come back to bite him in the ass really quickly. I think he would go for a much more manipulative and subtle approach. He plants seeds of doubt and mistrust. Twists words and actions from the other to his advantage, etc.

I took so long writing this may as well post it here after like a year of inactivity
Hazbin Hotel Voxval analysis (I am probably mischaracterizing and misinterpreting some stuff but, oh well) :
Listen I think Vox is a toxic and manipulative asshole as well, but the fact of the matter is that as far as we've seen, he's just your typical megalomanic ultra rich ceo who embodies capitalism almost to perfection. He's seen using some psychological manipulation techniques over on Val in episode 2, but those techniques seemed like a way for him to keep Val relatively calm, to avoid him doing shit and getting hurt or worse, and it seems like the main reason why he came up to Val was because Velvette told him to because Val was disturbing her. He wanted to avoid Velvette getting more annoyed and Val getting hurt, he manipulated Val to keep them and Velvette safe.
It's seen that Val, on the other hand, seems to be both physically, psychologically and emotionally abusive, as seen in episode 4 with angel, but also in that little scene in episode 2 where he throws a whole glass at Vox, which he does totally purposefully since he asked for another drink specifically to throw it at the TV man, a bit later into the scene he also grabs Vox's phone from his hand, slaps him, seemingly pretty hard, and smashes his phone against one of the pillars. And while Vox tried to calm him down and get him to not fuck up, Valentino is actively enabling and encouraging Vox's anger and annoyance.
Also include the Angel and Vox's poison dripping mouth in Poison
Also the noncanon Instagram accounts showed than on two different occasions, Valentino had purposefully broken Vox's screen by hitting him because he wasn't satisfied with what Vox did for/to him. Those accounts have been archived since and count as non canon, but have shown a lot of truth in the way they portrayed the characters, so one could keep that in mind
Vox is also shown to get jealous, especially about Angel, notably in the scene in episode 2 in which he enthusiastically asks if Angel quit, then being disappointed when Val responds he didn't. And also during Poison, where he seems disgruntled to see Angel looking at them
Considering all of those, it seems that Val and Vox are a toxic couple to it's peak, in which each of them think they're in control, people from the outside think they're destroying each other while really only one person (Val) seems to be absolutely ruining the other mentally. Vox is probably unhealthily in love and obsessed with Valentino, to the point where he keeps his cameras on him anytime he can. But Valentino only cares about Vox a fraction of how much cares about him, because he knows he's got him wrapped around his finger when he makes him believe he's in control of their relationship. Vox would probably crawl back to Valentino anytime they have an argument, even if Vox is the one being mistreated in that argument. What Valentino seems to care about is the power and money he can get from Vox, while also considering him a sort of entertainment when he gets mad.
Sure they maybe have their lighthearted and lovey dovey moments, because Valentino is *vaguely* in love with Vox, like in the last ep, but to me and from what I've observed, Vox is not innocent, but he is still one of the victims of Valentino

I recently read the lost sisters after legit months since htkoelths let me tell you it has made me want CARDANS VERSION EVEN MORE.
Moral of the story in my own mind the pov is like this Jude=selfless, Taryn=self love, and Cardan=self worth.
jude/taryns piggy back off of eachother bc whereas Taryn tried to manipulate the game or social structure so she can fit in; jude isn’t worried about fitting in she just wanted respect amoung her peers and changed the game completely. They both wanted a place in their community or world and not be looked down upon. Cardan version would not only be pivotal in knowing the entire scope of love he has for jude but see how he legit is the game! He is the prince but yet he couldn’t count on his friends, he didn’t really have family, and he admitted In not so many word that he was jealous of jude bc madoc loved her when she isn’t even technically his. And that type of isolation he felt and the moment anyone gave him attention (where it be positive or negative) he latched on to it but then throughout the books grew up and matured and finally became part of a community/family and is like hey I have someone who I love and she loves me back🤯
Taryn I still don’t like her don’t get me wrong I can see from her point of view she was like this is the only way but no matter what her sister never crossed her mind, she didn’t feel bad, she didn’t feel remorse, she only did bc she got caught. Taryn is for tayrn she loves herself to much to be anything else (again wheather it’s positive or negative) I got the vibe that she envied jude just a little bit just cuz jude didn’t care for the social aspect of it when taryn did. when jude constantly sheilded and tried to protect her siblings- hello she didn’t even mention that Locke tried to kill her for fun for her sister cuz she didn’t wanna ruin anything for taryn.
And I know a lot of you are pro-taryn after reading her book but really it just proved that taryn loved herself, her sense of importance is insane like how? When she didn’t do anything worthy to attain that title. And it also goes to show how oriana and madoc raised them, they really are the product of their environment. Jude took after madoc and Taryn took after oriana. Oak takes more after all of them especially jude/cardan or at least his ideas (again that might be my own self conscious wanting jurdan babies and living vicariously through oak)
I don’t necessarily hate taryn but really it’s hard to like her. As someone who has a sibling I just couldn’t fathom being ok with anything happening to my sister(irl brother) let alone plot/ mastermind a whole ass plan that might hurt her physically, emotionally, or mentally. (Side note I really hate Balkian and Valerian)

Any opinion on Akito and Ena's dad ?
I don’t think he’s the best parent ever by any means, but I also think people often greatly exaggerate what he did to his kids. Both him and his kids have a pretty blunt way of talking and I think this is why they clash so often. The thing is, none of what he said to Ena about art being a terrible field of work to go into was wrong, it’s just that instead of trying to help Ena, he just told her she was talentless which like don’t fucking say that to your child??? I get that he was trying to look out for Ena but he just approached it in the worst possible way and ruined Ena’s mental health. He’s clearly been through it in his art career and doesn’t want Ena to go through the same, especially when she’s already struggling at a non-professional level, but he’s not the greatest parent going and clearly doesn’t know how to talk to his kids. He’s gotten better after Akito talked to him, but still has some work to do.
What I’m saying when people exaggerate what he did is that people tend to dial up the abuse to be more like Harumichi & Toya’s mother or Mafuyu’s parents and this is a very different case. Shin’ei clearly doesn’t know how to communicate with his kids and isn’t good at parenting, and I don’t think he meant to hurt Ena as bad as he did. He didn’t think she would be able to handle an art career and didn’t want her to get hurt, but he ended up hurting her more because he has dogshit communication skills. Yes, he still abused her and isn’t like a hugely present figure in her or Akito’s life (might be work-related? It’s never explained) but I don’t think he intentionally crushed her mental health and self worth. Considering one of his hobbies is camping trips with the family I think he actually does love his kids, he just isn’t a good parent.
It’s a very complex case because yes he did abuse Ena but it doesn’t entirely seem like it was intentional? Like telling her she was talentless was an intentional decision but I don’t think he said it because he wanted her to suffer emotionally for years, does that make sense? It wasn’t like Harumichi who made Toya practice past the point of injury and his wife who banned Toya from having any free time just because they wanted him to be a musical prodigy and live up to their expectations of their family (also Toya has older brothers who probably went through the exact same thing before him). And it wasn’t like Mafuyu’s mother who manipulates her daughter into becoming what she wants her to be and is fully aware of the fact she’s manipulating her, and then tries to manipulate other people on top of that to believe that she’s a good mother and actually cares about her daughter.
Shin’ei actually does seem to care about Ena and Akito and the fact that he does seem to try and change after Akito talks to him adds more proof to that. Harumichi hears Toya out and Toya isn’t scared of him anymore, and although he hasn’t really shown up much since Nocturne, whenever he does or whenether he’s mentioned there’s still this sort of disconnect between him and Toya still? Like he’s kinda just accepted that Toya rebelled against his expectations as an Aoyagi but you can tell he still doesn’t see eye to eye with Toya and probably never will. Hell, when Mrs Asahina is called out on her actions, she tries to manipulate the person calling her out in the exact same way she does her daughter. So Shin’ei at the very least tries to be better even if the improvement isn’t huge and I think a lot of people in the fandom miss that part? Like I consistently see people describe/portray him as far more intentionally malicious and hurtful and sometimes even physically abusive and he isn’t?? Yes he abused Ena and doesn’t seem hugely present in Akito’s life compared to like Ken, but how he abused his kids reads very differently to the other more notable abusive parents. I’ve already said it loads by now but the intent is different. And this is a character analysis and not an opinion
Uh yeah I think he’s pretty well written and I’d like to know a bit more about him but maybe I should invest in the fanbook for that. He’s very realistic like this is definitely something that happens a lot in real life. Some parents just aren’t good at it and don’t mean to hurt their kid but they end up doing so because they just don’t know how to care for them and communicate with them properly. He feels very human.
He’s a shit parent and I hope this doesn’t read like an apologist post because it’s not meant to be, like he drove Ena into a deep depression that’s fucked up. I just wanted to point some stuff out because I really like how he’s written and think he’s a pretty interesting character.

"...So we should go on a date, then. I'll take you to dinner."
Eddie sidles up quietly against the wall, risking a peek around the corner to check before he waves Steve over. Yep, Wheeler was right–there you are, leaning against the school outside with Jason fucking Carver, who cannot physically get any closer to you without it being considered a felony.
"No shit," Steve pokes his head out over his boyfriend's, whispering incredulously because Eddie knows he can't believe it either. Of course, the one person in the school that they both despise the most is making a move on you. Steve rubs Eddie's shoulder, hoping to soothe him as the two of them watch from their position of relative safety.
"Um, aren't you…aren't you and Chrissy..?" Jason shakes his head at you, but he's still smiling like he's still got it all under control.
"Nah, she…I heard she's been sleeping around. So I dumped her–girls like that aren't worth it. Not like you."
"That's not true!" Eddie whispers–he knows Chrissy, she's a sweet girl, and she definitely dumped him because he made one too many awful comments about her appearance. What a fucking liar. But he maybe says it a touch too loudly, because Jason's brow raises and just as he turns to look around, Steve grabs Eddie by the collar and yanks him back around the wall to hide. But once they hear you start talking again, they both slowly sneak a peek once more, knowing that Jason's eyes will be on you and you alone.
"Thank you, uh, I'm flattered, but…"
"But? Is there a but? C'mon, just one date." Such a pushy bastard, it's annoying enough to Eddie, but looking up he can see that Steve's practically got steam coming out of his ears. You fidget with your sleeve, the bag slung over your shoulder swaying as you do so while you try not to look him directly in the eye. "You're so cute when you get shy. C'mon, babe."
Oh, that "babe" is almost enough for Eddie to go fucking berserk, and he can feel that Steve is feeling the same–but they both agreed not to intervene unless it was totally necessary. They might be totally whipped for you, but they're not your babysitters and they both know that if they start acting like it, you'll just end up resenting them. Plus, the three of you are good friends right now, and you're one of the very few that doesn't think them dating is weird or somehow related to the devil, so to mess that up would result in a lot of nights moping around and watching sad movies in each other's laps that neither of them are emotionally prepared for at the moment.
"Y'know, we could even do some more stuff if you wanted…a little birdie told me that you have yet to lose something." You look scared. This is nowhere near good. Steve's hand digs into his shoulder, hard.
"Um…I-I…"
"It's okay to be inexperienced, babe. I can show you how to do it…show you how to make love. You can trust me–even if that's all you want, I'll let you use me for it." How manipulative can he be? Eddie knows there's no way you would ever do something like that, but he can also see now that Jason really just wants to get into your pants. Figures, he doesn't deserve your kindness or any part of you, so he's just scraping to get whatever he can, like a rat–and it gets worse when Jason starts touching your face, trying to get you to look at him. Steve quietly growls a "don't" from above him, kind of like a dog getting territorial. It's kinda hot, if he's being honest…focus. He has to focus.
"I'm not a virgin,"
You finally breathe, your eyes flicking up to meet the blond's whose hand is still on your chin.
"And you're not my type. Sorry." You gently push his hand away, and wait with shaky hands for him to back off. But both Eddie and Steve's anger increases when he just dips his face closer to you, almost like he's gonna kiss you–Eddie has to put a hand on Steve's chest to stop him from lunging forward, whispering a "Stevie, calm down!" quiet enough that neither you nor Jason notice while you're in your own little world.
"What do you mean by that? Explain it to me, so I can understand." His voice is low, but angry, fury simmering just below the surface like he's close to blowing up. But if he thinks he can just intimidate you into doing what he wants, then he's got another thing coming.
"What…What is there to explain? You're a bully. You're cruel. I saw what you did to Gareth's hand," Your brow furrows–god, you're so pretty when you're mad–and Eddie finds himself breathless as you raise your hand to your chest and push him, just hard enough for Jason to take a step back with an incredulous look on his face. "And you're always calling my friend a freak."
"Who, Munson? He is a freak! Why would you even want to be friends with someone like him? You're too good for that."
"No, I'm too good for you." Jason just shakes his head in disbelief, a scoff on his lips. Eddie's chest is so tight, heart beating so fast at the protectiveness in your voice as you say his name. "Eddie's my friend. He's sweet, and he would do anything for his friends. He's nothing like you–and that's why I like him."
You like him. He's on cloud nine right now, he wouldn't even notice if the world was ending. All his dreams are coming true, even if he never imagined Jason would be involved with them at all.
"You like that queer? Are you fucking serious?"
"Shut up! You're a cunt, Jason!" You shove him again, hard this time, your words spit with venom and your fists shaking with anger. But he's so proud of you for stepping away, you're so mature, and you don't even look back at him as you start walking towards the side of the building where they're hiding–until you stop suddenly, and Eddie realizes that Jason's grabbing you by the wrist to drag you back to him.
"You do not walk away from me, you understand that?!"
"Let go of me! I'm gonna tell-" Jason slaps a hand over your mouth, and yanks you close enough that your faces are only a few inches from each other. Too close.
"Who's gonna believe you?" Your eyes widen, and it is far past the last straw. Steve is shouldering past him and dashing towards the scene before Eddie even realizes he's gone from his side.
"Hey!"
With the kind of strength that befits a former high school athlete, Steve runs up and wedges himself between you two so he can shove Jason off, breaking his grip and sending him stumbling back while your friend stands protectively over you. You look a little dazed, confused, but when Eddie hustles over to take your arm in his and soothe you, it sets in that you're safe and you gladly melt into his embrace. You're so warm, and you're scared, but…he just can't help thinking about how soft you feel against his chest.
"You touch her again, and I'll make sure you regret it."
"The fuck are you doing here, Harrington?" Jason spits, flushed and clearly jumped up from getting interrupted. Eddie doesn't even want to think about what would have happened if Wheeler hadn't tipped them off, what Jason might have done to you if they weren't here–but if he somehow wasn't sure before that he always wants to be there for you, then he absolutely does now.
"Oh, y'know, hanging out. Seeing some old friends. Defending pretty girls against creepy douchebags. Whatever strikes my fancy." Jason's eyes slide over to Eddie, who feels and probably looks a lot braver with Steve in between them. He can feel you tense up against him when Steve says that, and he pulls his arms tighter around you to hug you closer. It's relieving to feel that you're comfortable with him, enough that you're clinging to his jacket and subtly nuzzling even deeper into him.
"What was that you said, again? 'Who's gonna believe you'? I think the school counselor would love to hear that. Probably would have to let the basketball coach know, though. And you can say bye bye to the rest of the season." Steve sounds so confident when he's ripping him apart, it's honestly kind of…well, it's not something you might find attractive, but Eddie certainly does, and by the awed look in your eyes he can sense that you feel the same. "Gimme a reason, dude, cause I would love to kick your ass right now."
Jason looks between all three of you, frustrated and wounded by the blow Steve's managed to deal him, but the intensity only lasts a couple seconds. Because before long, he's made his choice, and he brushes you all off and stalks away with his hands shoved in the pockets of his letterman jacket.
"Oh, Jason! Almost forgot!" Both you and Eddie are surprised to see him actually stop and turn his head when Steve calls out to him, his glare violent enough that all three of you can almost feel the holes burning through you. "You ever get near my boyfriend again, or Hellfire, or her, I'll rip you many, many new ones. You just gimme the word, big boy."
Jason says nothing, just spits, and gives all three of you the finger which Steve gladly returns before he turns and disappears through the door into the school. By the time Steve moves to walk back towards you two, Eddie's loosened his hug to let you slip out, but you're still clutching at his arm like it's a pier in a storm.
"Don't be scared, honey. You're okay." Steve affectionately rubs your head, ruffling your hair a bit in the process. But he's a lot more gentle than when he does it to Dustin or the other kids, careful, and fortunately so when you've still got such a disturbed expression.
"I..I thought he was gonna.."
"He won't. Stevie's got us–look how strong he is." Eddie smiles over at you, and rubs the hand you've got gripping his sleeve so you can feel his rings against your skin.
"Did you, um…I don't know how much you heard of that.."
"Well, we got to hear you call him a cunt. That was fun." Your eyes turn back to Eddie, big and doe-like, and god, there's rarely been a time he's wanted to kiss you more than he does right now. "...And I heard what you said about me."
Fear strikes across your face, and you quickly avert your gaze from him like it's too much to even meet his eyes. He hates how shaky you still are, even when the danger has passed–he never wants you to be afraid of him, scared of what he's gonna say next. Ever.
"I-I…Eddie, I…I don't want to ruin what we have. And I…Steve, I'm sorry I-" Your voice is trembling, and even though your head is turned away he can clearly tell you're on the brink of tears. But that's when Steve pipes up, a hand brushing your cheek as he guides you to look up at him.
"You had a crush on me, right?" You stutter, taken aback by his query, but he just keeps going. "You were younger, I remember. I was a senior. You used to wear your hair like,"
He motions around his head, trying to charade his way into describing it before his hands land on his hips.
"Like that. It was cute."
Eddie knows you're not nearly as close with Steve–you would definitely be considered friends, but you mostly know Harrington through him and you haven't spent much time together alone. Before they started going out, that fact would relieve him. He didn't even know that you and Steve knew each other before you all started hanging out.
"Listen, Eddie's not gonna say it, but he likes you. And I like you. And from what I can tell, you might feel the same. So," He raises both hands up to show he's being vulnerable, and steps around you to stand closer to Eddie's side. "If you don't, that's totally cool. We can pretend none of this happened–but if you do, and you don't mind sharing, well…we can stop running after you like lost puppies to make sure you're okay."
You're speechless, clearly. Your eyes dart from one boy to the next, searching for some sign that they're gonna burst into laughter and admit that it was all an elaborate prank. But all Eddie does is keep stroking your hand, until you slowly release it from his jacket and let him take hold of it.
"Is…this really happening? This isn't a dream, right?" You're the one who's incredulous now, and the two of them look between each other as a spark of fear ignites. It's just now occurring to Eddie and his boyfriend both that they might have made a huge mistake by saying this right now.
"I…y'know what, now I'm thinking this might have been a bad time to say all that. I'm sorry, I just, seeing you scared like that-"
"Did you mean it?" You interrupt Steve's near-frantic babbling, your eyes now intense in a way that Eddie has to mentally slap himself to not find as incredibly hot.
"Well yeah, of course. We mean it, right Eds?"
"Damn right." You look between the two of them. Are you still questioning, he wonders? Will you walk away, thinking they were liars this whole time, just waiting for a chance to make fun of you?
"Do you…wanna get some dinner?" Only now does your question come out as meek, soft, just like the absolute goddess that first came to Eddie to ask if you could get something from the theatre while Hellfire club was in session. He still remembers that day so fondly, the way the club members teased him for how gently he spoke to you and how he paused the game for a whole ten minutes just to explain what they were doing to you. And the first time you got frustrated with him, yelled at him for something stupid he did that he doesn't even remember anymore, and how whipped he realized he was when he witnessed how forceful you were when you were worried about him.
"Oh, like…now?" Steve's voice breaks him from his reverie, he didn't even realize he was staring at you, or that your eyes flicked over to stare right back.
"Yeah." You bite your lip. Mercy.
"Yes," Eddie sighs, his eyes totally fixated on you, like he's already lovesick. "Anywhere you want. I'll pay for yours."
"Think again, Munson. Keep your money, I'll cover everyone's. C'mon, beautiful." He snaps his fingers in front of Eddie's face to bring him back to reality, drawing a giggle out of you in the process as he loops an arm around your waist and leads you away towards his car. He might have been left behind, if he wasn't still holding your hand–you give him a tug to pull him along with you, and he hurries up to walk on your opposite side from Steve.
It might be impossible to tell what's gonna happen next, what you're gonna say when you all sit down at a booth at the diner and have the conversation that he's been waiting so long to have–but it doesn't matter, none of it does. Because all those nights of lying awake with Stevie and talking to each other about you, about how perfect it would be to pull you into their little universe with them…now, it might be possible for it to all come true. There's a chance. And that's more than either of them could ever ask for from an angel like you.

Okay so- random ramble of the day 2.0 that I thought of after a particular conversation I had with @treedaddymcpuffpuff in the comments.
Trigger warning! (It's bordering n0n-c0n, if you're uncomfortable with that, please feel free to skip this)
So what if- John actually does snap first, and it ends up being particularly nasty. (to be honest if either him or the reader do snap at the other at some point, it's going to be wild either way so 😂)
Let's say he caught the reader trying to escape, or maybe her playing with his emotions / emotionally manipulating him, - pulling out the 'i belong to you' card to gain his trust for an example - or maybe they just had an incredibly shitty argument that was prompted by the ever building tension between them, by neither of them willing to compromise much. (elastic band reference says hello again 😂😂)
Now, generally speaking, both John and the reader have shown clear signs of enjoyment when it comes to the more.. dubious kind of consent, and even though John was the one to trigger most of those occasions, I feel like someone with the reader's strong personality and self-respect would've had a much different reaction to it if she wasn't into it.. That being said, so far every time the reader disobeyed him / refused to give in, John ended up leaving us alone, and I think he'd be lying to us and himself if he were to say that it's to torture us even further.. Sure, having yet another denied orgasm added to the list is shitty, and yes, he had tried to isolate us in order to punish us when we tried escaping the first time, (probably not the last time though) but it's becoming ever so slightly clear that he is doing this more for his own sanity's sake, rather than ours, so he doesn't flip out and snap at us.
That being said, his punishments, although cruel, were still much more on the lenient side... But I can't help but think that with the already high pressure on both of them, and an additional problem source might just be enough for him to lose his shit, and thus, punish us, hence where the extremes come in, such as completely tying us up, - he already said he dabbled in shibari, and he's definitely still into it imo, "misspent youth" or not - perhaps gagging us if we get too bratty, giving the reader a good spanking, perhaps some degrading, and most importantly being the selfish bastard we know he can be occasionally, meaning this whole thing will be to.. comfort him? Reassure him? Bring him that sense of security back to know that he is in control, something that we've seen him go to extreme lengths for in all 4 movies..
And considering that we didn't really establish any boundaries yet, seemed to be into it sort of, and even the fact that John might very well lose pretty much all sense of rationality, and go absolutely fucking ham on us, to the point of our lust turning into actual terror.. In which case, a safe word should be used, buuuuuuut- 1) We don't have one yet. And 2) John will probably have us immobile, silenced, face down, ass up, sobbing for him anyways, so in that crazed state of mind, he might not actually realize that he's hurting us, (emotionally I mean. I think he'd be pretty aware of the physical pain 😂) until it's just a little.. a teeeeennnsyyyy tiiiiiinnssyyy little bit toooooo late..
AND MY GOD- Does that open up endless possibilities for us. On one hand, he would definitely be overstepping any and all boundaries, even if we haven't quite established them yet. Could this be the triggering event for the reader to start thinking with her brain instead of her heart and pussy, and actively suppress her urges, her feelings, the love she feels for him despite it all, and perhaps plan her escape?
On the other hand, I feel like John would feel an unbelievable amount of guilt, because despite his previous punishments, and everything he's been doing being morally wrong, he has never quite breached the line of becoming a monster, (in our eyes at least) not to mention that he is very morally grey, so while he may be rational enough to realize how unethical things are and just ignore it, - or have the fear of losing us overpower his sense of justice - (nobody is there to hold him responsible either ey) I know for a fact that he would never want us to doubt his love for us for a second. He wants us to feel cherished, loved, safe, and protected, and while he knows we do not see things that way yet, I feel like he would instantly realize just how much he fucked up.
A part of me feels like his first instinct would be to run away (as per usual), put some distance between us both because he doesn't want to hurt us any further, and because he god damn will be actively self-loathing, self-hating, self-blaming himself for the events.. But I also 100% believe that him seeing the reader teary eyed, spooked out of her mind and clearly hurting would again, overpower his sense of rationality, and just make him wanna comfort us. Physically, verbally, emotionally- Any way he can really. Which again, opens up a plethora of options for us, because he would definitely be a lot more inconsiderate of what may aid us in our escape, and what we could just find simply comforting.
Would it fucking wreck me emotionally if the reader ended up using this to guilt trip him into slipping up and allowing her to escape? Absolutely. Would it be justified? Also abso-fucking-lutely, although god forbid it were to happen because GODS it would be like an avalanche of emotions...
So yes.. Angst. And smut. Thank you @treedaddymcpuffpuff and @johnwickb1tsch for fucking wrecking all of us emotionally 😂(Jk jk, i fucking love you both, you evil geniuses.)
Haha, so word spreads fast that I can't handle noncon. 😬 I literally write a series of books about a vigilante bounty hunter who hunts down vampires who hurt women, so this should not have been a surprise to me. I guess I'm a weenie. Is there such a thing as gray romance, LOL? it might be more my speed.
I'm honestly not sure how to answer this one without spoiling the story I'm trying to tell, so I'm just going to leave it here because you raise some very interesting plot points that I'm sure people will love reading! You have QUITE an imagination and such an acute understanding of character motivation!

🌈Just saw Trolls 3 today!🎀
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Things I liked:
The new design types of characters
The singing
The songs, especailly the one they use to save Floyd
Floyd
Grizzabella and king what's his names wedding stuff
Floyd in flashbacks and in general
Bruce and his family of muppets
The knockoff muppets
The designs of the world and the textures ugggghhh so good!
Velvet and Vaneer being designed like Betty Spagettis
The moment when we think Floyd is gone and some girl behind me said "Se murio?!"/"Did he die?!"
The little crinkle paper lady, she was so cute.
Things I didn't like:
Poppy
Viva
The forced lore of Poppy's new sister
The forced family is everything and nothing is more important than family
The way JD got a minute of character detail and than it's never touched again.
The way none of the other holders of music were seen at the wedding.
The way we didn't see the brothers reconcile and how they got to the venue.
Floyd's lack of scenes outside of the diamond.
Also Baby Diamond. I just can't.
So, yeah I liked the movie over all but when I tell you giving Poppy a sibling out of the blue felt so dumb. Like I get it, they 're gonna make her a new doll line but wow was that not necassary. This could have been a found family story with Grizzabella and while yes they are best friends could have led up to the I see you as a sister conversation and it would have been ten times more impactful.
Some people don't have siblings and sometimes wish for them but as someone with 5 and as the oldest I can tell you it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Poppy finding her sister was nice and all but I couldn't care less about Viva or her plight becuase it was just so out of nowhere. Branch's family dynamic was more realistic of having lots of siblings but even then they didn't even try to have meaningful conversations about how they got to that point. All they did was fight, fight again, and then suddenly they're in total sync? Talk about a magic moment.
And not to mention the total swept under the rug moment when Jd talks about how being the oldest put presure on him to be perfect. How it made him the way he is but they don't linger on that and move on so fast we never get a resolution.
Oh and for Poppy's part, she's still so very pushy, obnoxious, and overall a terrible person to Branch's feelings. He tells her numerous times that he's not ready to talk about his past with her and instead of accepting that she borderline manipulates him into telling his story that he wasn't ready to tell. AND THEN she makes the decision for him to go on an adventure to which he says no until he finds out it has to do with Floyd. Branch had every right and reason to not want to join JD, HIS own brother who he put a boundry on becuase of how he hurt him, but Poppy goes on and on about how SHE wishes she had a sister basically guilt tripping him into going disregarding his feelings about it entirly becuase family or whatever.
I like Poppy but I cannot stand Poppy and now there's Viva too and I don't think I can stand the both of them.
Normalize cutting famliy off and living your best life. If they hurt you, be it physically or emotionally, you have every right to cut them out of your life and owe no one an explanation.
Sometimes the writing is very good but if they were trying to make a meaningful story about family they I feel they missed the mark a bit. Still visually a fantastic movie and the music was equally very good.
I'll give it a 8/10 and if your a fan you'll like it. I think I still like the 2nd one the best just becuase of the places we saw and the music we heard was so diverse.

WAIT. something about the cycle of violence and Sasuke being atomically comprised of love love love and Itachi's and Sasuke's parallels on their way out of the village. Something about how they both had to leave Konoha for their own reasons and were their worst selves in those moments, but Itachi was (as always) irreconcilably selfish. He kills his parents, and then he waits for Sasuke to come home. Sasuke tries to sneak out without a word, and when he's caught he thanks Sakura knocks her out painlessly and lays her on a bench. Itachi showed Sasuke no mercy, literally tortured the 6 year old psychologically emotionally and physically for what amounted to days for Sasuke, all in the pursuit of fufilling his own long term-suicide plan, and Sasuke was literally half-possessed and still only hurts Naruto out of hunted necessity.
Something about 'you have hidden potential, that's why I allow you to live. for my sake' vs. 'I spared you on a whim.' and lying while also telling the truth to come off as more cold and calculated and irredeemable, but Itachi did it to manipulate Sasuke into being physically incapable of ever thinking about anything else and Sasuke did it to silently beg Naruto to move on.

so one thing i really liked about the episode is that scene where Hunter starts crying in the basement of the shack after Luz tells him he’s family and she wants to keep him safe
it just... it means a lot. it really resonated. i think it was beautifully done and am specifically deeply enamored of some of the less ‘traditional’ comfort scene aspects of it.
(under a cut bc it got long)
Hunter is a person for whom it’s never been safe to have or openly express emotions like that. vulnerability has always been dangerous. the Emperor’s Coven was a nest of vipers, his uncle was a manipulative emotionally abusive monster, and he’s always been viewed as a spoiled child who was handed a position he didn’t earn or deserve and therefore had to work twice as hard to be taken seriously (and no one really took him seriously even then.)
it’s never been safe for Hunter to cry. crying is a weakness. crying is something that someone can use against him. “i was never afraid as the Golden Guard” -> he repressed all of his negative emotions like fear, sadness, uncertainty, unhappiness, etc so tightly that he didn’t even consciously know they were there (meanwhile it is obvious to the viewer that Hunter is both miserable and terrified pretty much 100% of the time) and didn’t have to acknowledge them and could avoid expressing them in order to survive an extremely dangerous, wildly unsafe situation in which his actual life and physical health/wellbeing were at stake
this is a pretty common reaction to a prolonged, inescapable traumatic situation, especially one where any displays of emotion are used against you. you shut down, you numb out, you learn how to turn your feelings off or bury them so deeply that you don’t even know they’re there, just so you can get through it, and often while you’re in the situation you feel like you’re Basically Fine until you’re out of it and can recognize, by contrast, how intensely miserable you were
anyway though the point is that Hunter is someone whose vulnerable emotions are very tightly repressed, and in that moment, he just completely loses control over it. he’s scared, he’s away from his abuser, he’s been slowly learning how to enjoy things and actually like his life instead of just enduring it, and for the first time in his life someone just offered him unconditional acceptance and care
it just really resonates with me! like it’s SO heartwrenching what makes it happen, how unloved and unwanted and unsafe he must have always felt before, but also... i like how quick it is.
how he tries to keep it under control. the way he looks away, how he doesn’t even blink, how he tries not to let her know he’s crying and STARTS crying very quietly until a sob slips out and he can’t help it anymore
how it’s just this quick intense burst of sobbing and then he gets it back under control, because he’s had to learn how to do that, how to quickly put the metaphorical mask back on. very relatable - when you’ve been through the kind of emotional abuse Hunter has, it’s almost involuntary to do that, to just stop yourself from crying as soon as something breaks through the layers of repression to make you actually get to that point where tears come out
Hunter is still very early in his recovery process and when you’ve spent so long so disconnected from your own fear and grief, it’s HARD to let yourself feel them, and you can only handle doing it for very short periods of time before all those subconscious defense mechanisms kick in and make you stop again
and i love the way Luz just... lets him be. Hunter doesn’t like being touched, he doesn’t like being grabbed, he clearly struggles to talk about things that affect him deeply or hurt - for him, it wouldn’t be comforting if Luz tried to hug him or talk to him about it. what she does is give him emotional and physical space, while still being there for him, and she offers him brief and easily rebuffed/escaped contact and lets him be the one to deepen it by leaning in against her - and she doesn’t really look directly at him, either, doesn’t force him to meet her eyes
she acknowledges it and comforts him without forcing some kind of discussion or confrontation on him, she lets him have space while still being present, and when its done she moves on without pushing or prodding or questioning him
as someone who would almost rather die than have someone see me cry and who DEFINITELY does not want to talk about it or be touched or really have it acknowledged in any way if i can help it, and who has had people in the past switch very quickly from trying to comfort me to getting mad at me when i told them what they were doing was making it worse, it just really means a lot to me to see that kind of scene?
like what Luz did was so caring and loving and comforting for him, it took his actual needs and desires into account, it means SO much to me to see that, it was such a good scene, UGH

I'll be bitter and petty for a sec
Even though I think that both Aziraphale and Crowley made mistakes in the final fight and they both misunderstood each other, I still think that aziraphale hurt crowley so much.
because today I saw someone said smth like "they're equally wrong and should apologize to each other!!"
And I said it before and I'll say it again
AZIRAPHALE (accidentally) (metaphorically) ASKED CROWLEY DETRANSITION
OKAY
Yes, he didn't mean to, and actually he meant that he wants Crowley as he is in heaven, and that heaven made a mistake to throw Crowley out of the heaven. It still does not change one simple fact
Aziraphale. Doesn't. See. Crowley. As. He. Is.
Not at the full extent at least
He sees Crowley as the total goodness, total holiness and at the same time he sees him as a petty child who can't get over himself and forgive someone for an """honest""" mistake (honest mistake of damning a soul to the eternal suffering in hell) He sees him doing his little pranks just as a show off of how badass he is, that he's "true evil™" but deep inside he's truly a nice person who's just too arrogant to see that he hurts himself by "denying his true self"
BUT AZIRAPHALE IS FUCKING WRONG
Crowley is just like that!! He's not good. He's kind. But also he'd laugh at the eldritch falling on the ground, kids slamming into the automatic doors and he doesn't mind giving people automatics to kill each other even if they're not actually dead. He really does not care about being good. He's an eldritch being beyond human comprehension. He does what he thinks is right and for the rest he's goofing around even if goofing around means that he'll make people kill each other.
And she was hurt when she fell. And this is something Azirapahle can't quite understand. He can't understand how bad it was. To loose or love and all confections. To be hurt physically, to be hurt emotionally. It's not just a child acting up, it's a person who was hurt so deep that he forever lost a part of themselves. Even though she healed herself to the best of her abilities it is the scar that he'll bear till the ends of times.
And Aziraphale just denies this!! Because he has some vision of crowley in his head that is true to him and each time Crowley does something extraordinary he faults crowley for acting inapropreatly when the problem is that aziraphale does not see crowley as he is!!!
And I love aziraphale, and he's hurt too, and I wish him the best and I hope he'll be fine
AND if someone told me something similar to what he said to Crowley, I'D GO BALLISTIC, IT WAS OUT OF THE FUCKING POCKET, MAN.
And mind you he (unconsciously yet still) tried to emotionally manipulate Crowley to make him feel guilty (You're the bad guys!) and just-
I don't need apology dance I need an apology fucking magic trick because what he fucking conjured in that dialogue can not be un-cursed by a simple dance

Part 1 of 2
So this comic is to help explain a few things for the people who refuse to read the fanfics. So the possession amulets connection, also let’s Bob sense his captive and what they are doing/feeling even at a distance. Which is a big part of how he is able to track her down when she makes escape attempts. As well as how he can more easily know when best to sneak up on her to catch her unawares. Though the captive does not have this same power unless she’s been absorbed by Bob, where she can kinda see and feel things through his eyes. Under regular use by cult members, this sensory ability gained by whoever has the commanding half of the possessor amulet, would allow them to keep track of whoever has the other half of the amulet in case they had to split up. Both letting them spy on the hostage a bit, and make sure the other half of the amulet doesn't get misplaced. With normal use generally going like this. - Cultist targets a person in a position of power -possesses them completely in order to do some task, and in the process wipes the memory of their possession and the things they did while controlled by the cultist. -the amulet is either removed, or if it is a long term manipulation by the cult, then the controlled half of the amulet will be left in them, and they will be kept tabs on until another task has to be completed, and the owner of the controlling half of the amulet will then focus on this connection to find a good moment to strike to possess the target again. So normal cult use of these amulets is pretty reserved and hands off and geared towards specific goals. Though Bob was very much not in the right mindset to be able to use the amulets responsibly. Even though looking into the connection to see and feel his captive is voluntary, and he can turn it off if he wants, he found a number of the sensations pleasurable, and he’s recklessly done it so frequently, that it’s harder for him to turn it off again, and he’s developed a perception of his captive being almost like an extension of his own body. Making it difficult for him to hurt them in any particularly lasting way, as well as getting obsessive and possessive of his captive. Regardless of if the captive reciprocates his feelings of attachment. Even her basically saying “I fully plan to exploit this information to try and get you to kill yourself“ isn’t enough to really sway him. Though it does still make him question his life choices. But can also see the dude is genuinely trying to make this thing work. One of the side effects of such a intimate mental and physical connection, is Bob can’t really help but be keenly aware that his captive is a thinking, feeling human being. It’s hard for him to dehumanize or objectify them when the amulet connection is basically injecting empathy directly into his veins. Even when he’s getting his ass kicked, he can see where she’s coming from. And it’s hard for him to not get a bit masochistic when he can literally feel how much she enjoys fighting and how much she wants to hurt him. Like I would hope ya could tell from the art, but the first two images show him realizing he accidentally upset her a whole bunch, and being frustrated with getting shouted at, but being aware that getting angry isn’t going to help the situation, so he makes an effort to try and be patient and honest to calm her down. Though she’s not so much in it to get along, she wants Bob dead. So she has a tendency to try his patience more than he can easily handle.
Part 2 is spicy, so I put it below a readmore
Tw: violence, absorbtion vore, general hornyness
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lol, a reminder that this is a yandere bob vore au. Guy basically found someone he could eat over and over again, and the sensations of it made him so hot and bothered he can barely stand it. But yeah lol, hope yall enjoy the funny escalating horny back and forth with this comic. Like of course Bob would be getting even more messed up emotionally than he already is XD. Like first she says she wants to kill him, then does something he considers hot.
Then she pushes him around (he prefers being the dominant one, but its rare for her to initiate physical contact with him, so always a bit startling for him when it happens) but then immediately follows it up something even hotter, almost like a supernatural strip tease.
Then she chokes him and hits him in the face while insulting him, but now the poor guy has his yandere crush literally sitting crotch-first on his face. Dude’s getting the most confused boner. Dude is gonna develop one of the most dangerous of kinks if he’s not careful. Like he’s literally going like Bob: “C’mon boner, don’t do this to me, please, I’m beggin ya. ( ╥﹏╥ ) ” Bob’s libido:
