Ok so i havent seen the actual movie yet but i just want to ask does anyone have a clear pictures of Inspector Singh cause from what i have seen he looks like a sikh man and if he were than that means that Gayatri would be named as Gayatri Kaur instead of Gayatri Singh
#And i can be wrong though cause Singh itself isnt an exclusively sikh surname#But from the turban and all i am guessing they were inspired by them#But that being said if he is sikh than his daughter's surname would most likely be kaur#Sikhism has different surname conventions#(if you are a guy you are Singh and if you are a girl than Kaur and the first name is a gender neutral name)#(So technically she shouldnt be even named Gayatri which is a hindu name)#Look i am not asking fans or the writers to do full scale research on ethnicity of what is essentially a bg bg character#I just saw whom i thought was Inspector Singh and was just really confused#inspector singh#gayatri singh#pavitr prabhakar#across the spiderverse

still not sure how i feel about dickinson's narration and pacing - it can be so distant at times, except when characters are having conversations, when the conversations themselves can get lost in almost agonizingly minute descriptive language ... but the stuff that is Happen ing . good lord the stuff that's happening here
#the scope and the personal stuff is hard to keep balanced i get it . good lord do i get it#it's why i haven't worked on the big fantasy novel for so long#but hooooooooly shit the Plot and the Events seth . the plot and the events#baru cormorant#just got to unuxekome's forty-three ships . i always pictured him as looking like that hot guy with the big smile from the old guard#you know the guy who's only there in the flashbacks . wears a turban#him . that's unuxekome to me i don't know when i decided he looked like that but it's cemented for me now#im so bummed everyone who dies in this book does it offscreen or in like half a sentence .#i bet when somebody REALLY major kicks off it'll have so much more punch as a result and i'll be devastated
