planet of the apes 🦧

dude… i have now seen the new kingdom of the planet of the apes in cinema twice and the first time around i wasn’t all that impressed and i left the theatre kinda disappointed but the second time around i left a little more impressed and a little less disappointed.

the movie was still weak compared to the first three films, (the rise, dawn and war) but im glad it was made.

as a whole i believe this franchise is criminally underrated on multiple different levels. The poetic nature of the films is something i don’t think i would ever articulate or write on paper to perfectly capture how beautifully made these films are, they are just chefs kiss

proximus caesar was a funny villain that i think deserved more screen time and back story, it makes me kinda sad to think that we wont really see his character again.

the symbolism that links all four films together is incredibly well done and throughout the entire series there are crumbs of the films that came before them, which is a part of the reason why i love these films so much. i like how they made noa so similar to caesar, not only in his appearance but in his characteristics. i like to believe it was intentional that noa and caesar (particularly in dawn of the planet of the apes with malcolm) cautiously but willingly trusted a human. noa is so incredibly similar to caesar it would be criminal to suggest otherwise.

dude these films are so visually well done you almost forget you are watching cgi. the visual effects alone blow my mind but the accuracy and attention to detail when it comes to the mannerisms of the apes is out of this world and deserves more recognition. in terms of cinematography planet of the apes have always been amazing at beautifully capturing emotions from all the apes and even better at showing the wonders of a post-human run world. the forests and surroundings that the apes find themselves in continue to amaze me, especially in this newest film were we see a variety of different landscapes.

as much as i am growing to love kingdom of the planet of the apes, i feel as though we could have waited for noa and his story. i think cornelius and the others that were left behind after caesars death deserved a closing chapter. i would have loved to know how the community handled the loss of their leader and saviour and how they all moved on. also i feel as though we needed back story on how the apes separated and became different clans spread all across the continent. as an example i would have also loved to see how the misinterpretation of caesar and what he stood for became so strong and wide spread, as well as why noas clan and their elders knew nothing of caesar or chose to leave him out of their history. there were a lot of open ends and unfinished stories that deserved more screen time, but in saying that, that could mean an eternity of story telling that everyone may not want to see.

at the end of kingdom of the planet of the apes they left it open for another film which i am looking forward to seeing where they take story line. are they going to fully circle around to the original films were they capture more humans and start to use them as slaves or will the story begin to get repetitive? i hope repetition won’t sneak its way into these films like is has with so many other franchises, but we can only hope right?

I've been meaning to make a list of spooky (Thai - because negl that's 99% of what I watch) BL series and movies and what better time to post this than in October?

Spooky BL are my favourite flavour of BL. Turns out, there's actually a lot of them (maybe because Thailand does horror so well). These are only the ones I've watched (and enjoyed) so this list isn't complete.

*On another note: horror doesn't faze me at all so I can't really accurately say how scary some of these are. If you have squicks or triggers like jump scares, gore or bad endings please feel free to ask and I will do my best to give you a heads-up.

✨Spooky Thai BL✨

He's Coming To Me | Probably one of the first series everyone will think of. Not that spooky but a solid ghost(love) story with a murder mystery at its core.

Hidden Love | This is a budget show filmed under serious constraints during the worst of the covid pandemic. It's clichéd. It's over the top. But it's also got its charms. It comes with a tragic ghost (love) story that completely overshadows everything else with its many flashbacks and plot twists. If you manage to get over the camp. I warned you.

Dear Doctor I'm Coming For Soul | This one has reapers and ghosts and lots of bittersweetness. It's not that creepy since the supernatural elements are very matter-of-fact. It will make you cry though, sorry. :(

Ghost Host, Ghost House | Spooky with incredible chemistry between the leads and a cast of characters that you will immediately fall in love with.

He She It | A three-episode miniseries with a haunting soundtrack and a nice plot twist. This will make you miss JeffGameplay. :(

Low Frequency | Not spooky at all, and a bit slow and empty at times, but it has ghosts (in a way) and a sweet enough couple.

Make a Wish | Unfortunately, this has never had an inter release. There's inofficial subs floating around on grey sites but as of yet the series hasn't been fully translated. Which is a pity because it's a cute show about angels and spirit possession and (some) murder mystery.

Midnight Museum | I'm stubbornly putting this under BL. This show has everything and everyone. It's genuinely spooky at times but mostly draws on folklore, the mystical and an absolutely stellar cast.

On Cloud Nine | Short and beautiful. An indie production that's more ethereal than genuinely spooky.

🎞️Red Wine in the Dark Night | The oldest entry in this list. Admittedly, not very spooky (and instead rather surreal and sad), but it has one (1) vampire and Fluke Natouch in a role that's more grounded than we're used to nowadays.

Something in my Room | A spooky show with ghosts, mystery and romance that hides a lot of commentary behind metaphors and allegory. Criminally underrated because it didn't have a wide enough release. If you want to binge something fun and spooky for Halloween then this is the series to go. Prepare tissues.

✨Not a BL but hey, I know that actor!✨

Enigma | Win Metawin (and surprise guest!) in an incredibly well done 4-episode series about the occult with interesting worldbuilding and the promise of a second season.

🎞️Ghost Lab | Tor Thanapob and Ice Paris in a genuinely gruesome, shocking and scary horror movie. You've been warned.

Girl From Nowhere | One of the best things tv has to offer, and genuinely dark as well. Up Poompat, Pepo Nutchapan and James Teeradon feature in some of the loosely-connected episodes.

🎞️Hoon Payon | Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Up Poompat and Bank Nuttawat in a classic spiritual ghost story. More shocking than scary.

🎞️Inhuman Kiss | Oab Oabnithi and Great Sapol (sadly, not as a couple) in a sad and romantic take on a classic Thai legend.

Let's Fight Ghost | A Thai remake of a fun and somewhat spooky kdrama with spiritual themes. And Saint Suppapong.

🎞️Pee Nak 1, 2, 3 (and soon 4) | I'm biased because I really like this movie series. It's spooky but in a fun way. It has queer characters (as comedic relief - but not in a degrading way) and can get surprisingly deep. Watch this if you want to see (baby!) Tar Atiwat grow up on screen (because he's in all four movies). The third movie rewards you with some surprisingly sweet MeanPlan that might continue into the fourth movie.

School Tales | A Thai horror anthology centred around students at various schools. This series has Fiat Patchata, Kay Lertsittichai, Pepo Nutchapan, Mark Siwat and, most prominently, Saint Suppapong and Chimon Wachirawit in well-paced 50-minute episodes.

The Stranded | One of my favourite series ever. If you watched LOST then you know what to expect. This has 3 QL couples (Perth Tanapon & Mark Siwat, Win Pawin & Tanthai Tatchapol, Ticha Wongtipkanon & Chaleeda Gilbert) but don't expect any of them to get a happy ending. Sadly, this series ended on a cliffhanger and won't get a second season due to the lead actor's tragic passing and Nadao's dissolution.

✨Upcoming Spooky BL✨

7 Days Before Valentine | Death Note but make it even more of a BL. Patrick Rangsimant originally wrote this so I'm really excited. Plus, it will begin airing in November which is almost as good as October.

🎞️After Sundown | A period ghost movie that hit Thai cinemas this summer to great success. There's currently no news on an international release.

🎞️Death Is All Around | Saint Suppapong coming through with another spooky production - this one about death and the afterlife. This also has Seng Wichai, Bas Suradej and Dun Romchumpa (presumably as a couple).

The Hell Guards | Chains of Heart but make it spooky. Oh, I am so excited for this!

My Imaginary Boyfriend | Based on another one of Pat Rangsimant's novels (my favourite, atually). This one is more grounded, and spooky in a more psychological sense.

Mystique in the Mirror | Another one of Pat Rangsimant's novels (and psychological horror too, by the looks of it). This one started filming back in early summer so it should be airing soon.

Shadow | This series will air its first seven episodes on Halloween and that should tell you everything you need to know. It's a suspenseful (ghost?) story set in a Catholic private school.

Spirit Reborn | This has the potential to be very spooky, with curses and spirits and past lives.

SunsetxVibes | This is going to be messy and spicy but the short pilot trailer did have spooky undertones and possible spiritual themes.

The Whisperer | More psychological horror but this time not penned by Pat. Apparently, this has been in production for a while so hopefully we'll get some news soon.

Zomvivor | The only zombie series on this list has entered pre-production and is slated to be released in 2024 (hopefully before October). Will it have BL? I don't know, but it stars pretty much all of domundi's acting couples (and more).

1000 Years Old | Will it be spooky? No idea, but it does have vampires and sometimes that's enough.

Best Underrated Anime Group H Round 1: #H3 vs #H6

#H3: Two guys time-travel through photos. Depression ensues.

Best friends, roommates, and business partners Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang run a photo studio, developing pictures and the like. But that’s not all they do. The Shiguang Photo Studio has a secret extra service—they can deliver messages you never got to send and find information you never got to learn, so long as you bring a photograph, or maybe several.

Their method? A clap of the hands, and Cheng Xiaoshi dives into the past and into the body of the photographer. Guided by Lu Guang, he has twelve hours to achieve his goal, whether that is finding a secret, saying goodbye, or winning a fight.

Assisted by their friend and landlady Qiao Ling, the duo navigates a gallery of corporate lies, interpersonal drama, old regrets, and crime. The recently released second season continues threads that begin in the first episode of season one, showcasing the same level of brilliant writing and even higher stakes for our beloved characters.

#H6: Cozy slice of life about a high school girl with a camera

In her last year of middle school, Fuu Sawatari had trouble dealing with her emotions following the sudden death of her father. Through the help of her brother and childhood friend, she rediscovered her love for photography, an activity she and her father often did together. In addition, she decided to attend high school in Takehara, her father's hometown and a place they often visited when she was younger.

It has been one month now since Fuu moved to Takehara and became close with her current group of friends: carefree Kaoru Hanawa, excitable Norie Okazaki, and quiet Maon Sakurada. Together with them and several acquaintances around town and abroad, Fuu continues her mission of capturing the joys of everyday life using her father's camera, while also helping her friends discover their own passions.

Titles, propagandas, trailers, and poll under the cut!

#H3: Link Click (Shiguang Dailiren)

(Admin: Five people submitted different propagandas for this. Instead of posting each of them as they are and making this post even longer, I merged them altogether for coherence and brevity.)

Link Click is a show that is criminally underrated outside of China that it’s become a running meme in the fandom (i.e. Link Click fans to everyone they know: WATCH LINK CLICK!!!). Some people are just so resistant to watching anything Chinese that even others in the Link Click subreddit prefer its Japanese dub—which is sad because they don’t get to hear certain nuances in the original audio. It’s also just really frustrating how xenophobic people can get.

Anyways, the beauty of Link Click lies in its simplicity. For a time-travel show, you’d expect our characters to tackle on tasks that involve the fate of the world or something, but no. In Link Click, it’s all about the ordinary person. All the people Cheng Xiaoshi dived into have been your everyday person—an office woman who gets harassed at work, a restaurant owner who’s grown estranged from her best friend, a man who misses his first love and his old friends, a man who wants to gain the approval of his girlfriend’s family, etc. Even when the stakes go high in season 2, the core of the conflicts still lie in the personal problems that the characters face—which may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but they are not any less important.

And I think that’s beautiful. It’s hard to relate to grand plots of saving the world or facing an apocalypse and whatnot, but it’s easy to relate to the day-to-day struggles that humans face. 

But it’s also depressing, in a way. Link Click is very adamant that the past remain unchanged. Cheng Xiaoshi has to go there, do his mission, and then leave the past as it is—which is difficult when he gets to feel the emotions of the person he’s possessing. Many times he wants to change things for the better, but Lu Guang always pulls him back. 

Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang’s relationship is also really nice. Cheng Xiaoshi is the empathic and reckless type, while Lu Guang is the rational and cold (but inwardly a dork) type. They balance each other out, and when they have conflicts, they face it maturely. They also care for each other so so much that the moment the other is in danger, all their personal philosophies get thrown out the window just to ensure the other person’s safety.

The male characters also cry without getting emasculated. They have mental breakdowns that are done so well and feel like a real reaction instead of just the solitary tear down one’s cheek. 

Link Click… is not a gentle show. It will strongly grab your heartstrings and make you cry several times. It doesn’t pull its punches, and it’s always happy to hit you with the “past or future, just let them be” beam. It is cruel, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Lastly, Link Click is really about friends being there for each other in hard times, and knowing that while it’s impossible to take all those painful memories back, it is possible to take them with you in the future and turn them into something beautiful.

On Soundtrack: The soundtrack of this show is just amazing. The s1 opening song may seem all fun and games with the finger-tutting, but after s2, you’ll realize how meaningful the lyrics are. The s1 ending is also iconic for us fans. It starts playing before the episode ends, and the ominous start of the song always sends chills down our spines because it signals that something has gone wrong.

The s2 soundtrack gets even better. The s2 opening’s second chorus is basically just the first chorus played in reverse. The director specifically requested for a song that would sound good even when played in reverse, and it’s amazing how the band managed to pull off something so difficult. The s2 ending, like the s1 ed, continues the Link Click style of playing before the episode actually ends, making the last few moments of the episode even more emotional.

#H6: Tamayura: Hitotose

Propaganda:

No stakes, only warmth. Tamayura: Hitotose is the single coziest anime I have ever watched. It is like Moomins or Studio Ghibli (without all the excitement), in that after watching it you feel like the greatest magic the world has ever known is a home-made bowl of soup, a trip to the mountains, a photograph of a memory. Which is all true. Animes like this teach you to live right, and that's why we need them. Also to teach us to be "more aggressivu!" If you ever have a really rough day/week/month/year/decade, let your soul be soothed and watch Tamayura: Hitotose.

Okay, so my two favourite artists would probably be Linkin Park and BTS, for very similar close-to-my-heart reasons. And since they are WILDLY different sound-wise, I will give you two different fruit salads hehehe

First, the fruits!

Orange 🍊 -> obvious choice, zesty and sweet, brings everyone together with its juice; a refreshing favourite

Apple 🍎 -> solid, classic, reliable ; probably an oldie throwback

Mango 🥭 -> smooth, sexy lady with a groove; perhaps slightly unexpected

Strawberry 🍓 -> tangy, slightly acidic; a bittersweet one

Grapes 🍇 -> underrated bops bursting with flavour once you give them a try; a fun one

Melon 🍈 -> my favourite fruit so my personal favourite

🍇 In Between - for the sake of "underrated" I purposely chose something from after the first 2 albums. In Between is criminally underrated imo, which is a shame since it's such a sweet song sung by Mike (which is rare since he hardly ever gets a solo song). 🍇 Hip-Hop Lover & We On - putting 2 songs again because I can. These are VERY old BTS songs, and still remain some of my favourites. It's a shame so many newer fans outright refuse to listen to their older, not-so-polished stuff, cus it's fantastic really

🍈 Run - my mostest absolute Bangtan favourite, she's beauty, she's grace, she's so fun and devastating and aaaaaaa. AMAZING era that was, superior mv, just overall wowowowow

Admittedly I don't read whump often, but cold cold eyes has become a comfort series for me since it hits a lot of tropes I don't see often (parental whumpers are criminally underrated) and oh my god the recent part was so good. The contrast between Marshall's sheer horror and begging while Lawrence comforts him... ahh its so good. I'd love to see a continuation of that with Marshall going into a depressive state as you mentioned in another post, I'm sure it'd be a very interesting progression of events

Sorry I'm a little behind, I've been busier than usual lately! But thank you, I'm so glad CCE is a comfort series for you, that actually means so much to me!! To specify, this is a continuation off of when Lawrence kills Marshall's biological father.

I am keeping my normal content warning, but I'd like to specify again, this is pretty dark and involves attempted suicide via sleeping pills. I just want to warn twice since I know this is a huge trigger to a lot of people, even in the whump community.

CW: Attempted suicide/overdose, parental whumper, manipulation, mentions of death, creepy comfort

It's been a week since Lawrence did what he did. He doesn't regret killing George, but given how Marshall seems so scared and sad… he does regret doing it right in front of Marshall. He thought Charlotte's advice would work, it always did, but apparently not this time.

Lawrence gently knocks on Marshall's door. "Hey, Marshie, can I come in?"

Like always, he gets no reply.

"I'm coming in." Lawrence opens the door to see Marshall absentmindedly playing with a Rubik's cube, not even attempting to solve it, and rather just using it as a fidget.

The younger man doesn't even acknowledge Lawrence, staring blankly at the cube of colors.

Lawrence takes a breath. "Hey, kiddo. How long have you been up? It's almost 11:00." He usually doesn't let Marshall sleep in this late, but when Marshall's awake, he acts like he isn't there.

A slight shrug comes from Marshall. At least he's giving some kind of response.

"Okay… what do you want to eat? We still have time for a late breakfast. We could even go eat somewhere if you want. Or pick something up." Lawrence is desperate for something. This isn't like when Marshall went catatonic, he can tell Marshall is hearing everything he says clearly.

Somehow, that makes him even sadder for him.

"I don't want anything to eat."

"You have to eat something, Marshall. Anything you want."

"If I have to have something... I guess any fast food sounds good."

"Of course," Lawrence chuckles. He's usually against letting Marshall have fast food, but he'd give Marshall the world just to gain his approval again. "Tell me what you want, buddy."

"Fries. And, um, a cheeseburger."

"Alrighty, I'll go pick that up."

With that, Lawrence slips on his shoes and leaves, telling Marshall he'll be back in a few minutes.

In hindsight, that was a pretty stupid decision.

...

Marshall doesn't waste any time as soon as he hears the front door shut. He goes to the front, looking out the window and sighing in relief when he sees Lawrence drive off.

He jogs to the kitchen, then notices the drawers are locked. Well, there goes that idea. He looks around for anything that can put him out of his misery.

Typically, Lawrence keeps the medicine cabinet locked, but sometimes he forgets. Much to Marshall's advantage, when he enters the restroom, he finds the cabinet unlocked.

He tears open the drawer and starts shoving his hand past medications he doesn't know the names of, trying to find something useful.

He sifts through various bottles and pills, but nothing seems to catch his eye.

That is, until he finds an old, worn bottle of Belsomra, half-empty. He remembers his mother had this prescribed to her, and she'd often give Marshall some when he couldn't sleep. He wonders nowadays if that was a responsible thing to do, but it doesn't matter.

He grabs the bottle and opens it after nearly two minutes of struggling. Stupid child safety cap.

He pours the contents into his palm. He walks back into the kitchen, clutching the pills in his palm. He places them on the counter and grabs a glass to fill with water. He never could swallow pills dry.

Marshall's hands are shaking. He notices his whole body is shaking, and tears are dripping down his cheeks and onto the floor. How long has he been crying? He counts the pills, even with his blurring vision from his tears.

Nine pills in total. That should be enough, right?

For a moment, he wonders how Lawrence would react. Hysterical, no doubt. Even though the bastard killed his father, Marshall does know Lawrence loves him... in a fucked up way, but still love, nonetheless.

Would Lawrence even take him to a hospital? Not that he'd want to go, but he's sure Lawrence would be caught if he did that. Unless he had connections there, too. Marshall wouldn't be surprised if the guy had his own hospital, at this point.

Marshall takes the first pill and swigs down the glass of water. It burns in his throat, but not as badly as he expected. He's pretty sure it's just his hatred for swallowing pills.

He takes the second one, and just as he swallows it down, he hears Lawrence's car pull up. No...nonono. He must've dissociated, because what seemed to have been twenty minutes felt like five.

He frantically gathers the pills back in his hand and runs to the bathroom again, along with the glass of water. He's finishing this.

After locking the door behind him, he slips the third pill in his mouth and washes it down with the water. His body is shaking more, and he can't tell if it's from the anxiety or not, at this point.

Marshall sobs as he drops the remaining six pills to the ground, just as he hears the front door open. He falls to his knees and grabs the closest one, getting ready to have the fourth pill, when...

"Marshall? Where are you?"

Great. Marshall knows that means he's already went to his room to not see him there. The younger man tries to stay quiet, but can't control the next sob he gives.

"Marshall?"

Oh God... Please, no. Marshall tries to stand, but his legs aren't listening to him. He stumbles right into the wall, feeling ready to hyperventilate.

The doorknob jiggles, but doesn't open. "Marshall, open the door right now." Lawrence's tone sounds beyond stern, but also terrified, breaking more than once. "Please, Marshall!"

Marshall's heart skips a beat every time the knob jiggles, and he can feel his blood rushing to his face. Is Lawrence going to force the door open? He puts the fourth pill in his mouth, not trusting himself to speak.

"Marshall? What the fuck are you doing?!" Lawrence cries out, louder than usual. He bangs on the door. "Open the fucking door! I know you're in there! Open the goddamn door, dammit!" Lawrence knows the medicine cabinet is in there, and remembers he forgot to lock it.

Growing frantic as well, Marshall searches for the other pills to stuff in his mouth, but then he hears Lawrence start to slam what he assumes is his shoulder against the door, planning to knock it down.

Lawrence knocks the door down after slamming himself against it five times in total. When his eyes lock with Marshall, the blond is screaming in cold-blooded dread, his eyes bulging out of their sockets.

He straddles Marshall and forces the remaining pills out of his mouth, demanding, "HOW MANY!? HOW MANY DID YOU TAKE?! ANSWER ME!"

Terrified, Marshall sobs harder. "Th-three, I took three, please--"

"If you're lying to me--"

"I'm not, just please, you're hurting me!" Marshall's wrists feel broken from the grip Lawrence has on them both.

Just like that, Lawrence is pulling Marshall into an even more tightly gripped hug, so tight it feels like Lawrence is trying to suffocate him. Lawrence starts sobbing into Marshall's hair, causing Marshall to tense up. He's been pulled into suffocating hugs before by Lawrence, but he never seen him openly cry.

"You scared me," Lawrence cries, "you fucking terrified me. Never do that again. Never again, Marshall. You have to promise me."

"Lawrence--"

"Promise!"

"Okay, I-- I promise!"

Lawrence kisses his hair. "Thank you..." He picks Marshall up and puts him on the couch. Lawrence's eyes are red and puffy, tears still pooling his eyes. Marshall would feel guilt if Lawrence hadn't murdered his father. He just doesn't want to argue.

It's hard to breathe. Marshall goes back to feeling suffocated when Lawrence lays down next to him and pulls him into his arms, fingers raking down his back. Compared to how gentle Lawrence usually is with his affection, this is a stark contrast.

Lawrence's fingernails practically dig through Marshall's shirt and into his back. He doesn't know if Lawrence is even doing this on purpose or not.

Marshall wants to say something, but he's afraid if he does, he'll trigger more anger. All he can do is lie there as Lawrence rubs circles on his back.

After a few minutes of silence, he glances up to see Lawrence staring right down at him, expressionless, even with the tears still in his eyes. He looks scary with the blank look he's sporting.

Quietly, Lawrence asks, "Why would you do that? Do you hate me that much?"

"I..." Marshall wants to say he does, to call him every name in the book, but god, Lawrence looks so... broken. He bites his lip and shakes his head. "I'm just depressed. Just because I want freedom doesn't mean I hate you."

Lawrence doesn't answer, but merely continues to stare at him. Marshall isn't sure what to do. What else does he want from him?

"I'm sorry," Marshall tries next. "I wasn't thinking."

"Clearly." Lawrence sighs, wiping his tears with his hand. The circles in his back come to a halt. "I can't live without you. Everyone in my life leaves. If you die, then I'll die, too."

"I don't... um..."

"My father left me as soon as I was born, my mother died of cancer, my other children hate me, my fiancée was murdered... and do you think I'll let you go, too? Especially from suicide, of all things?" He practically cackles, clearly not a shred of humor in it. "Do you really think I'd allow you to do that to me? You're the only reason I breathe, Marshall. You need me and I need you."

Marshall hates how eerily calm he is saying all of this. He feels really tired, the adrenaline of the situation wearing off. His drowsy mind doesn't even think twice about how Lawrence mentioned 'his other children'.

Lawrence seems to notice this. "Get some sleep, sweetie." He smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. "I'll make sure a situation like this never happens again. It seems I have to keep you safe from yourself now too, huh?" He chuckles. "That's what good dads do, right? They protect."

As Marshall's eyelids droop shut, he feels the older man's hand go into his hair, damp from Lawrence's tears just a couple of minutes ago. He hears his voice one last time before dozing off.

"Good night, sweet boy. I love you so, so much."

Summary: SFW Headcanons about Sektor as a father (yes I'm reusing this picture bc the lack of human Sektor content is criminal)

Warnings: 18+ (minors dni), very brief suggestive themes but nothing too explicit, mentions of past trauma, pregnancy, some angst, fluff, Sektor is severely underrated

Being the Grandmaster's son, the topic of having children was always something that Sektor was trained for starting at an appropriate age. To be honest, Sektor never liked the idea of having kids, since it was only put on him to ensure an heir. But since meeting you and forming a strong relationship, fatherhood slowly starts to grow on him; he wants to have a baby because of love/companionship, not because of some old forceful and corrupt method.

When you first tell him that you're pregnant, Sektor's reaction is a bittersweet, shocked mixture of sadness and excitement. He asks if you are positive, and he feels like he's about to have a heart attack when you say yes. Sektor doesn't want you to feel like he's angry at you, he wants this baby as much as you do, but he has trouble expressing himself. He only presses a chaste kiss to your lips, and embraces you in comfortable silence to reassure you of his happiness.

Extremely possessive over you during pregnancy. Sektor is persistent about doing everything, making sure you don't even lift a finger so that you can rest. Gets uncomfortable if someone he doesn't know/trust is within any radius of you; if said someone even tries to touch your stomach, they're going to lose a hand. The only person that can get close is mainly Cyrax, and on some occasions Smoke and Kuai Liang; Bi-Han keeps his distance to maintain the peace, sometimes throwing a sarcastic comment or two Sektor's way.

Sektor often lets his actions speak louder than his words. This translates over to how he interacts with the bump, Sektor rarely talks to the baby, but always maintains physical contact (via gently resting a hand on your stomach or tenderly wrapping his arm around your waist). When he does talk to the baby, its going to be in calm words of Mandarin; Sektor doesn't speak English unless he absolutely has to in order to successfully communicate with anyone.

When the baby finally arrives, Sektor feels himself finally burst at the seams from a flood of bottled-up emotions. He thinks that his newborn is perfect, and loves how much they look like you. Absolutely no one is going to ruin this new life for him, not even that bastard of a father he had growing up.

Sektor is a strict, yet respectful father. He takes pride in everything that his child does, and fatherhood is gradually helping him get away from being the arrogant person he once was. Sektor wants to form a bond with his child that is healthy and never looks down on them even when times are tough.

Again, Sektor was initially uncomfortable with having his own children for the longest time, but he's grown to love fatherhood and his small family. He thinks one child is enough, but maybe in a couple years time he might want another baby. Once all the barriers have been broken, Sektor is a loving and compassionate person under that intimidating exterior.

1. pucci. obviously….. the main villain of jojos stocean, an insane catholic priest trying to create ”heaven” on earth, that in short is a world where everyone will know their fates/futures from birth and will thus be able to avoid tragedy and/or make peace with the inevitable, as inspired by his backstory thats essentially a tragedy formed out of crazy coinsidences or ”faith”. he wants to make a world where things like that cant happen anymore and is willing to die to make it happen LOL.

idk man like where do i even start….. its very funny bc reading stone ocean there wasnt any single Moment where i went crazy mode about him it just gradually happened like i finished the story and thought about him a little and went ”Wow. WTF.” like im almost certain half of the things i think are interesting about him are accidental and ive just added to all the vague thematic implications he has but still. like hes very clearly inspired by characters like oedipus from classical tragedies and he embodies the main themes of the story hes in perfectly As The Villain (memories, faith, the avoidance of faith, the strenght of the human spirit and will etc etc). all the while being an interesting and TO MEE incredibly compelling and sad character in his own right, and also an interesting criticism of the catholic church and christianity at large (religious mania, justification and blindness to atrocities through god, apathy and nihilism towards the material existing world in favour of focusing on some uncertain World to Come etc etc). ARGH

2. almalexia…….. main villain of morrowinds tribunal dlc, a mortal turned god now losing her divinity and trying to hold on to it as she slips into insanity LOL.

this is definitely a character thats been elevated to me by my own musings on her and what ive seen others do with her as opposed to just the source material but i do still love her lots… i think i just have a bias towards delusional insane manipulative religious villains doing awful things that theyre convinced are necessary for a better world. that and girlbosses LOL

3. klaasje disco elysium….. a lover of the murdered man the plot of the game revolves around, shes on the run for corporate espionage and works as an important clue giver to the main character….

she so criminally underrated its CRAZYYY to me that people dont talk about her that much. anyway yet another two faced manipulative character on the list……. shes so interesting to me because shes clearly an incredibly sad and lost person with a lot of guilt all the while STILL being a bad person. shes the kind of character who wants to simultaneously die and to keep living no matter what, so she throws everyone she cares about under the buss so she can keep running and then turns around and associates with the worst people and parties too hard and lives very dangerously. idk. its interesting to me. that and shes also generally an incredibly charismatic character both in game and TO ME.

4. yuyuko touhou….. a ghost princess who rules over the underworld of hakugyroukyo. shes the main antagonist of touhou 7 in which she tries to resurrect an undead cursed cherryblossom tree and the unknown person buried underneath, only to eventually find out that the person buried is her very own corpse.

shes been my favourite character for like over a decade LOL. my first ever Blorberino if you will…. i just like her a lot i think shes a fun character as this mysterious hedonistic ghost aristocrat that likes to play dumb and relax even if shes incredibly smart and powerful. and also reading fanwritten doujins and fics about her (ill be fair) very sad backstory (was born as a cursed human and ended up killing herself and being sealed away by her gf so she could live a grief free afterlife with out memories) as a 13 year old did lasting psychological damage to me and my taste in characters I THINK

5. lady hideko from the handmaiden movie…… a japanese aristocrat living in occupied korea in her adoptive uncles mansion, she runs away from her abusive life with her handmaiden after they attempt to scam each other and fall in love instead

shes a random ass character to throw into this list LOL but i do love her…. one of the cinema characters of all time….. and yet another favourite of mine that falls into the Insane Manipulate character archeotype. i could talk about her more at lenght but this post is too long as is so like ill just say that shes a man hating lesbian that murders her abusers and ditches her societal status to go and suck some korean peasant boobs. so ofc i love her lost :)

Arlo from The Good Dinosaur.

This is the most criminally underrated Pixar film! And it is so sad because I LOVE this movie! Easily is one of my favourite Pixar films and one of my favourite films of all time.

Arlo is so cute and I relate so hard to him because at the start of the film we see he is kind of a coward, much like myself haha; and we see his fantastic journey and how he learns to live with fear, overcome it and learn from it.

I like how this movie touches up on fear, showing us that living without fear leads us to recklessness, living with excessive fear leads us to never try anything at all and not live out life to the fullest, and finally telling us how just the right amount of fear can protect you but you must know how to tame fear in your life.

The movie also talks about grief, losing a loved one and learning to live without them and commiserate with others who have passed through the same process as much like Arlo does with his father and Spot with his family, the scenes where they empathize with each other, there's no need of dialogue, just pure wonderful visual telling.

And finally, I love how nature itself is a character in the movie, the dangerous scenes we can see how the wind is strong, how the river current is strong, we see the trees move and all the clouds in a total mess! But on the calm scenese we can see the soothing reflection in water and the beautiful sky with all its stars.

This movie deserves more recognition and love from the world.

i just love phys characters idk why. its so stress free for the most part since you rarely worry about elemental reactions lol. eula is just not my fav design so it makes me sad cause she seems fun, but i also don't need her cause ayaka is my cryo dps lol. i would love an electro or hydro phys! or dendro! but people sleep on xinyan cause shes's been bugged since her release and her kit is split scale so its hard to optimize her dmg sometimes. but i love using her as my fourth slot in my itto team. itto, zhongli, gorou, and xinyan is just so fucking fun idk why lol.

Lovage: Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By

This album by boasts some pretty big names, Dan The Automator and Mike Patton are joined by (the criminally underrated) Jennifer Charles of Elysian Fields. There's even a little spoken cameo from Damon Albarn in the intermission track: "Lovage - Love that Lovage, Baby", except, rather strangely, he's credited under the pseudonym of Sir Damien Thorn VII Of The Cockfoster's Clan.

These artists from wildly different genres come together to create a cohesive and sexy downtempo album that'll leave you begging for more. Unfortunately though, you won't be getting any more. 'Lovage' was just a one-off collaboration. Sad!

This album certainly delivers on its title. On the nose sex-fuelled lyrics, a cover of "Sex (I'm a...)" by Berlin, awkward moaning, Jennifer Charles' sultry contralto vocals contrasted with Mike Patton's gruff crooning, the commitment to the bit is definitely there. I'm not sure if this would be a good replacement for "CBAT" though.

Some of the songs sound like a soundtrack to a bad porno, so it's nice that instrumental versions have been provided so you can still listen to some well-produced downtempo in god-fearing households.

Eventually, these songs do seem to merge into one - crooning, moaning, similar instrumentals. It doesn't detract from the quality of the songs themselves - but it can make the album feel a little more like "background music". But, considering the title, maybe that's the point!
