a/n: indeed i can my friend here's a healthy amount of (very mild) angst just for you. i'm so totally gonna use this idea in a future chapter for the silly lil scenarios book as well because uh angst. maybe the prompt got away from me just a little bit i won't lie.

how do they react after an argument?

includes: jeff the killer, laughing jack, slenderman, nina the killer, eyeless jack, jane the killer, candy pop, clockwork, ticci toby, nurse ann, x virus, kagekao, jason the toymaker, the puppeteer, homicidal liu, sully, the bloody painter, the doll maker, zalgo, and hobo heart.

warnings: the aftermath of an argument, relationship disputes, some of these are healthy and some of these are not, inconsistent length.

JEFF THE KILLER would honestly be more upset if you walked out after an argument. he's already upset enough as it is, so you turning your back to him and storming out just makes his blood boil. he won't follow after you, but he'll definitely disappear for the next few days. he really isn't the best at resolving arguments, no matter how small they are. and unless he really fucks up, then he isn't going to apologize even if he is in the wrong. he's jeff the fucking killer, what the hell does he have to feel sorry about? you should consider yourself lucky that he didn't gut you for pissing him off.

if you want to have any form of resolve to this argument, you'll have to force the conversation because he will actively try to shut you down. he can't. he literally can't. resolution is not something he is good at, and unless you're the one to apologize, even if you aren't the one who is at fault, he's just not going to let any of this resolve. does that make him an asshole? yeah, it does. does he feel guilty? just a little. does that change anything? no, not really.

LAUGHING JACK, similar to jeff, would feel more upset over you walking away from the fight rather than the fight itself. he can come off as pretty scary during an argument, especially if it's one where he feels like he's in the right. he gets frustrated easily, and he's just overall a very expressive person, so. and he can get pretty fucking mean if he wants to, so yeah honestly you needing to walk away makes complete and total sense and he knows that it makes sense but that doesn't make him any less upset.

he'll just blame it on his abandonment issues or something because seeing you leave just to go and calm down should not have hurt as much as it did. and he debates going after you but he ultimately decides it would be best if he didn't. he wants to resolve this though, and he'll try but it'll be painfully awkward because, i mean, yeah.

SLENDERMAN is, by default, a pretty scary being the begin with so i imagine an argument with it would be pretty unnerving. it isn't used to people arguing with it, that's for sure. i think it would be more amused than upset, seeing such a small being stare up at it as if trying to intimidate it... it's a cute sight to see, that's for sure. it'll keep that thought to itself, of course. it imagines that saying such a thing out loud may only make things worse.

slender won't be upset when you walk away. it understands that you're just going to cool off. it'll take this time to clear its own thoughts until the two of you are ready to talk again and clear up the tension.

NINA THE KILLER would be immensely frustrated seeing you walk away. she'll probably let out a groan and tell you to come back, but she won't follow after you. she understands that if the two of you kept arguing any longer, things would only get worse. she knows that, so she'll use this as a chance to calm down herself. nina gets over things easier than you would think, and if this argument wasn't over anything major then the next time you see her, she'll most likely be back to her usual self.

she'll probably be the first to apologize as well, even if she feels as if she's not the one at fault. she can't stand when you're upset at her, so just accept her apology so the two of you can move on, yeah?

EYELESS JACK is always viewed as mature and in control of his emotions. and he is. a little too in control if we're being honest here. for most arguments you guys may have, he'll keep his cool and will try to understand your point of view and where you're coming from. there are times, however, when the control he has over his emotions slips, and you get reminded that oh. your boyfriend is a cannibalistic demon that can literally kill you in the blink of an eye. he really doesn't mean to scare you, but it's definitely a good thing you choose that moment to walk away to cool off because he has to physically force himself to not go after you.

and once he calms down, he will apologize. it's a genuine apology, one written all over his face. he never wants to or means to invalidate you and your emotions, and he never wants to make you scared of him.

JANE THE KILLER would probably be the first to walk away from an argument, if we're being fairly honest. if this is richardson we're talking about, then she's definitely more mature about it and politely suggests that you both take fifteen minutes to cool off before continuing the conversation. she does it because it's one, a healthy thing to do for your relationship, and two, while she is heavily in control of her emotions, the liquid hate running through her veins enhances her anger and it would be really bad if she genuinely got angry.

if this is arkensaw, i think she'll be a little less mature than she would like. she portrays herself as someone in control of her emotions, but her emotions and her hatred are what drive her. she does her best to her burning-hot anger in check but if you two have an argument, then it's fairly difficult. if you walk away first, then it'll only serve to upset her more, but she won't go after you. honestly, she'll probably even avoid you in the coming days because her anger lingers. it always lingers.

CANDY POP thinks it's cute that this little argument of yours got you so worked up that you had to walk away from him. honestly hell yeah if i were you i'd walk away from him as well because there is simply no winning with this guy. worst man you could ever argue with, to be honest.

but as we all know, his mood can change in an instant with no warning so. one moment, he thinks you walking away from him is cute and adorable. the next, he's getting frustrated and following after you because you don't get to walk away from him, silly. haven't you realized that he owns you?

CLOCKWORK, while she has her own anger issues and tends to get easily frustrated by the smallest of things, does try her best to keep her emotions in check if you two ever have an argument. it's not easy, and there have been times when she's snapped at you, but she always apologizes immediately after.

you walking away would make sense. she understands, she knows that you both need to take time to calm down before things get too heated. she gets it. but depending on what you two are arguing about, doing so could only serve to make her more angry. it's... frustrating, really. she won't follow after you though, because she knows it's what is best.

TOBY would want you to walk away. he needs it, to be honest. he tries to avoid getting into arguments with you for various different reasons. arguing with you stresses him out more than he would like it to, and it reminds him of the hold you have on him. you walking away from the argument would give him time to clear his head and cool off.

once you've both calmed down, he'll probably be the first to approach you because he cannot stand the awkward tension that always lingers after arguments with people. he wants to clear the air so this can all just be water under the bridge. it'll be a painfully awkward conversation though. he's not good at... resolving arguments. never had a positive example, to be honest.

NURSE ANN struggles to speak, so i think she would try to avoid getting into an argument because she feels as if she won't be able to properly get her point across. but arguments are bound to happen sooner or later, even in the healthiest relationships. and ann, to put it simply, is a very angry person. she keeps that anger in check when you're around, but it's literally impossible to not slip up a few times.

since ann rarely ever vocally speaks, her anger is typically conveyed in her stares and her jerky gestures as she signs. you walking away is the smartest thing you could do in that moment, leaving her alone to stew in her always-burning anger that she'll choose to take out on any nearby destructible objects or some sad poor soul that just so happens to trespass at her hospital in the coming hours.

X-VIRUS seems like the type of guy who has never really been in any arguments, to be honest. maybe when he was at the orphanage he got into a few petty arguments between the other kids, but nothing that would warrant needing to walk away, y'know? and i definitely don't think he'd treat the argument seriously, brushing off your words and whatnot.

he only realizes that you were genuinely angry with him when you walked away. it's definitely like... a slap in the face that oh. i'm a fucking asshole. he's not really sure what to do in this moment, and he waits until you come back on your own to try and apologize. but he's not the best at apologies.

KAGEKAO wouldn't treat the argument seriously at all. at least, not at first. honestly, he'd probably purposefully get you even more upset just to get a reaction out of you. does that make him an asshole? oh, most certainly. he just likes seeing you feel anything towards him, even if it's anger. he likes getting a reaction out of you because it's him you're reacting to. and it's entertaining as well, though you don't need to know that.

when you walk away, he'll feel a little frustrated at not being able to see you but he won't follow after you. he knows when to stop his antics. shocking, i know. and, if you're lucky, he may even hold you in his arms once you calm down. it's his way of an apology, i suppose.

JASON THE TOYMAKER fucking hates arguing with you. you're his other half, so arguing with you makes him feel sick to his stomach because what if... what if you aren't the one? he likes you too much to lose you, so you have to be the one. he definitely seems like he'd try to keep the argument short, and he'll be relieved when you walk away to cool off.

you don't try to leave him afterward, even if he was at fault for whatever you two may have been bickering over. that's good, really. that means you want to stay with him, even if you two have arguments like this. that's... that's so good.

THE PUPPETEER can't stand when anyone argues with him, so yeah, any argument you may have with him will be horrible and tense and it will not be pretty. he has to be the one to get the final word. he has to be the one in the right, even if he isn't. you must be aware of this, right? i mean, you're (hopefully, i assume) willingly sticking around this guy, right? so you should know that there's no winning with him.

and you walking away is simply not something he'll take kindly to. it's something that'll more than likely get a how dare you reaction out of him. you're a fool if you think he's just going to let you walk away. no, he'll either follow after you, or he'll pull you back with his strings. the conversation isn't over until he says that it's over.

HOMICIDAL LIU definitely does try to avoid any potential arguments with you. to be honest, most of your arguments with him will more than likely stem from his almost blatant disregard for his health and safety when he's injured as well as his almost suffocating habit of needing to protect you and keep you safe. it's inevitable, even if it's something he tries so desperately to avoid. that desperation is what tends to lead to arguments as well, if we're being honest.

he's not upset when you walk away. honestly, he's glad that you do. he always feels pretty damn awful whenever you two fight, and he patiently waits until you're ready to pick things back up so you two can resolve things and move on.

SULLY listens to everything you say with rapt attention. the only thing that matters to him at that moment is whatever you two are arguing about. hell, he doesn't give a shit about the argument itself rather than what you say, the expressions you make, and your tone of voice. every little gesture or movement you make catches his attention. honestly, if you asked him what you two were arguing about, he'd just look at you with a slightly confused expression because he's already forgotten.

and when you walk away to cool off and get some air, he has to restrain himself from following after you. he forces himself to sit down and he bites his fist as his mind hyper-focuses on every word you said and the way you looked at him and just... yeah, he's already moved on from the argument he just wants to see your face and hear your voice again.

THE BLOODY PAINTER is definitely not someone you want to have an argument with, honestly. not because he's an angry person or scary to get into an argument with or anything like that, no. he's just... very apathetic. it'll feel like you're arguing with a brick wall rather than a person, and you'll maybe even feel as if he doesn't care about you or your feelings. he just stares at you, blank-faced and monotoned.

once you realize that this argument is going literally nowhere, you leave to calm yourself down and he stays behind. it's not that he doesn't care about you and your feelings, he does, truly, he just... well... i could go into heavy heavy detail about his apathy when it comes to arguments but to spare you the length of that, just know that he does care, he's just absolutely horrific at showing it. once you come back, he will apologize for not better expressing himself and for unintentionally invalidating you and your feelings. he'll be better, though it will take time for him to become expressive.

THE DOLL MAKER seems like the type of person who wouldn't handle arguments well, i think. he's a fairly closed-off person and has some trouble conveying his thoughts and feelings sometimes, so i think it would stress him out a bunch if he got into a fight with you. depending on how bad the argument is, he'll either try to diffuse the situation or he may get angry and make things worse.

the moment you walk off, vine will be throwing himself into work to both calm himself down and distract himself from any potentially needless thoughts. he'll certainly try his best to resolve the conflict with you once you've both taken time to calm down but it'll definitely be stiff.

ZALGO would be very amused if you try arguing with him over something. you, a silly little mortal that somehow managed to catch his interest, are trying to argue with him, an eldritch horror beyond human comprehension that literally creates chaos for shits and giggles? how adorable. he's not going to take you seriously at all, i hope you know that.

and even if you walk away, you won't exactly be alone. zalgo is always there with you, even if not physically. a part of him is stuck with you, so he's always able to watch you, to talk to you. he thinks you're being dramatic for getting upset over something that he deems to be so utterly insignificant. there won't be any form of conflict resolution with him, so don't expect any form of apology or empathy or anything of that sort.

HOBO HEART you gotta be careful with, i think. the last time he felt as if he'd been wronged by the person he loved, he tore her heart out. not to say he'd tear your heart out over a minor argument or anything like that, no, that would be pretty petty and... he doesn't really think he's a terrible enough person to do that. maybe. depending on how serious the argument is.

he'll be a little disheartened when you walk away because he would rather clear up the air and tension immediately rather than wait but he understood, somewhat, that it'd be better if you both took time to cool off before either of you tried to resolve the conflict hanging in the air.

Nahu is THE boy of all time. He's lovable. He's STOOPID. He's absurdly powerful. He's really chill unless you mess with his friends, then he goes apeshit. He's got a boyish charm that every single member of his group is attracted to. He's the official leader of the group and they would do ANTYHING for him 🥺 He's got the sort of qualities that just naturally draw people in and make him someone worth following. He's got that sort of selfish selfless aspect that makes it so he does what he wants (a very "marches to the beat of his own drum" personality) but it always ends up benefiting other people somehow. He doesn't see the world in black and white; if someone is in trouble he'll do anything to help them even if they end up becoming his enemy down the line--that's just the kind of guy he is :"D He's not the type of person to hesitate, and this usually ends up getting him in trouble as he tends to dive into things headfirst without stopping to think, AKA he has no impulse control whatsoever so he's a walking danger magnet. He'll do things his own way and his friends have learned that there's no point in arguing against his decisions bc he'll turn around and do it anyway! They've gotten used to it at this point but sometimes they still question the way his mind works lmao

Despite the fact that he's kind of dense, he's shockingly perceptive when it counts, able to cut through right to the heart of things. Being a dragon elemental probably helps with that since it heightens his senses and makes him hyper aware of others and their true feelings. In the case of Ione this proves especially helpful since Nahu really doesn't have the attention span to properly learn sign language but he generally gets the gist of what Ione is trying to say even if he doesn't understand her entirely. This leads to interesting situations where Ione will say something and mean something completely different, and only Nahu can pick up on that due to being able to read her emotions better ;)

Again he's fiercely loyal, especially to his friends--he views any sort of betrayal on their behalf the ultimate sin, and will fight with his life to protect them. He's got an unwavering belief in all of them, even if the situation seems dire or if they lie to him for his own safety. He loves them like his family and will sacrifice anything for their happiness 😭 This leads to him being very stubborn in some cases.

Nahu has zero knowledge of what personal space is so he’s up in his squad’s business ALL the time. Which they get used to pretty quickly, since he’s so physically affectionate. His favorite thing to do is press his forehead against whoever he happens to be clinging to at the time. Whenever a new member joins and they happen to see Nahu doing the forehead touch they’re like oh hello what?? 😳 Nahu does this most often with Ezio bc Ezio was the first one to join up with him and is the most familiar with his affection. (Also it’s really fucking funny to just imagine Ezio, who is SO stoic and straight faced all the time, casually leaning into Nahu’s touch and knocking their foreheads together. They make me ill) Eventually it becomes a comfort thing for all of them. Since Nahu’s their leader whenever they’re unsure he’ll just look at them and KNOW and come over and lean his forehead against theirs and it’s so soft...

He loves exploring, viewing visiting any sort of new place and just traveling in general as a grand adventure. This leads him to dragging along other members of his group with him even if they protest :"D But it usually leads to something fun happening anyway!

When he was a child, Nahu was very close with another girl his age. They made many plans together, including growing up and going out on adventures, but unfortunately the girl had a terminal illness and passed away (in his arms, no less). This, in turn, triggered Nahu's magic to go out of control, causing the black "stains" on his arms that are basically an irreversible manifestation of his darkness magic. He was a bit self conscious of the way his arms looked at first but now he’s totally chill with it (and. When he uses his powers dragons scales sprout on his arms and glow and it’s sick as hell.)

Due to the trauma of his friend's death, whenever someone in his friend group gets sick, Nahu freaks out and mother hens to the extreme. Generally he's a very carefree person so it's always very jarring for them to see him so worried (since he's always got the utmost confidence in them too). He's just not the worrying type! They end up having to take care of him more than the other way around. It's very sweet (but also sad considering the reason behind it).

Nahu hasn't cried once since before his childhood friend died, and honestly he really hasn't taken the time to come to terms with her death, instead choosing to ignore any mention of it entirely. It's just trauma he's never recovered from, and he stubbornly refuses any attempt in bringing it up, even to his squad. This has definitely caused some tension between him and the girl's father, who just wants Nahu to accept her death so he can move on :"( Nahu just doesn't want to accept it. Despite him being very open with his emotions this is the one case where he keeps a very tight lid on them. When he cries for the first time in front of his friends they flip their SHIT because they've never seen him cry before.

I haven't hashed out too much of his own personal goals yet; I can say tho that he's searching for his mother who disappeared when he was still a baby. His father is a famous adventurer who kinda took off on him as well so he grew up under the care of several others. Nahu's never held this against his father; he's not really the type to care much about that. Instead he finds his father's dream-chasing adventures to be quite inspiring, which eventually leads to him making the decision to leave on his own and find his mom.

Danny doesn't get into an accident, and he doesn't become a ghost. The portal? It does get turned on, although neither Danny, Jack, nor Maddie knew how it came to be, and nobody thought to ask Jazz because, well, she is utterly disinterested in Ghosts as a whole and everyone knew it, so why would she even be in their lab, and even more so near their portal??

Danny, along with having an affinity for space, also has one for stealing here, though he knows that it's wrong he just... loves do it. He loves the thrill that comes with taking what isn't his, and the chance at being caught in the act as well.

He got better at it than when he was younger, and it isn't like he keeps most of the stuff he steals. Well, most of it at least.

Anyways.

Danny is good at stealing, Danny likes stealing, but his family is already used to his antics, though his parents do have some kind of ghost thing going what with the portal to hell and what not, but he digresses. One day, an old family friend pops up and Danny is curious about him, interest doubling when he finds out the guy is rich.

So he steals something off the guy when they met, and he successfully stole some weird gem thing off the guy- Vlad or whatever- or at the very least, he thought he did. Because when Danny was in his room, Vlad knocked, entered (after getting his position obviously), and then said he would like his possession back.

Danny is quite surprised, but gives it back after asking how Vlad knew he stole it, Vlad just looked at him and smiled (Did his eyes just flash red?). Then said that Danny has a talent for stealing, and, well, Danny always knew he did, it was obvious really.

But hearing someone praising him for it is quite different from disappointment and lectures about why it's wrong when they find out it was him after a while.

Then he offered him a place where he could train said talent, and, well.

Danny didn't have anything better to do, really.

He didn't know what he was expecting, but actual stealth training wasn't it, nor was Vlad creating an actual goddamn museum filled with items of value with an actual security system and guards (He thinks they're robots) for him to actually try against.

This was... wildly out of Danny's depths. But again, he didn't have anything better to do. His grades did fall overtime since then, but he didn't really care much about it, it wasn't like he was some genius like Jazz, so why bother?

His friends bothered, but he just told them he was spending time with his godfather you know? Nothing bad or anything! Sam and Tucker wanted to meet him, and Danny took them along.

Vlad was a cool dude, and seemed to click well enough with Danny's friends, and much to Danny's chagrin was utterly appalled by Danny's falling grades, and told Danny to focus on his grades more, or he'll have to cut back his training to include studies.

Danny picked the latter.

A while later there's been the appearance of some ghostly hero who fought other ghosts and avoided his parents. Which is neat, he thinks. Sam was very interested in her, and Danny couldn't say he wasn't curious either.

Then that whole 'Amity Park hostile plant takeover' happened and uhhh. Sam developed plant powers and then somewhere along the line Tucker gained super intellect and then Danny is the only normal guy out of the three of them.

Well, he is a master thief in training but still.

Regrettably, Sam's parents don't like her newly developed powers, because she doesn't use it how they want her too, and Sam decided to stop using it all together, then Vlad popped in and was like "You can use your powers in this place I have prepared specifically for using powers" and told them not to question why he had such a room, because it looked pretty used and obviously not newly built.

Tucker becomes really good with tech, like, really good with it. Sam gets very powerful with her plant based powers, and Danny is kinda feeling... out of place? In his circle of friends.

He's a bit jealous, he won't lie.

So he asks Vlad if there's a way for him to get powers, and Vlad thinks on it for a bit, and says that there is but Vlad would need to run a few simulations before coming back to him.

A bit later, and Danny is taken down to Vlad's lab, Vlad asks if he's sure, Danny says yes, and then he goes under.

Then wakes up, and he has ghost powers. Although he doesn't have some of them, like intangibility, invisibility, or overshadowing (he never even knew they had that power) like normal ghosts though, but he isn't a ghost, so it made sense.

Vlad said he had to modify his body to be able to contain ectoplasm without any unnecessary risks, which is why Vlad took some time instead of doing it straight away.

Danny is stronger, more durable, more agile, stronger reflexes and stronger stamina, so Danny had to use Vlad's training room to get a proper grasp on his powers, and then his training had to be modified to suit his powers and it really good, suspiciously good.

Did Vlad have another student with superpowers before Danny? Is that why he knows how best to train Danny's powers, and also why he had a training room?

Then he completed his training, and he could finally be called a fledgling master thief! Then Vlad employed him in his service, to get some practical experience outside of Vlad's control.

First mission? To infiltrate, obtain a copy of and then wipe away any and all files in a GIW facility, Vlad asked Sam if she was willing to go with Danny, as her powers would prove useful, she agreed. Tucker is staying behind, as deploying him is much more danger than it's worth, he will be the one to hack into, copy, and wipe away the files when Danny and Sam gets to them though.

Vlad warned them, however. Because the city they're going to in one rife with crime and supervillains, so they'll have to lay low, and even lower because they don't want to catch the eyes of the night's protectors.

Which city are they going to?

weeks later

It's been weeks since everything happened, and Qimir still hasn't told me anything. I don't know why he's not telling me, but I can't think straight anymore. My thoughts keep circling around it. I look at his sleeping figure and sigh. The only person who can tell me what happened is Vernestra. It's probably incredibly stupid to travel to Coruscant. But I finally want to know what's going on here.

I quickly pack a few things, write a note saying I'm going to run a few errands and will be back soon, and walk over to Qimir and kiss his forehead. "I'm sorry, but I want to know the truth," I whisper and set off for Coruscant.

Qimir’s view:

I wake up and want to pull Y/N towards me, but I don't feel her and I immediately jump up. I see a note that she has put on the pillow and read it. We still have everything here. "Please don't get yourself into trouble," I say worriedly. I have no clues as to where she might be, so I can only wait.

Meanwhile

Well, what can I say? It was a stupid idea. They captured me and now I'm sitting here tied up without my lightsaber.

The door opens and Vernestra enters the room. "You?" she says, surprised. I grin. "What do you want?" she asks suspiciously. "Tell me what happened when you were on the mission with Padawan Qimir," I say. She looks at me in surprise. "Why do you want to know?" she asks skeptically. I just realized that I haven't really thought this through.

They are using the Force to get into my mind. "Get out of my mind!" I growl. "He's alive," she says, shocked. I suddenly see all the memories, including how I saved him back then. "Do you have any idea what you did?" she asks. I look at her, confused. "He'll kill us all, including you," she says. "No, never, he's not like that," I growl. "Oh really?" she says. Suddenly I see the two of them on the mission. "He killed brutally, even the children," she says. I see images of him killing them all. Tears well up in my eyes. "No, that's a lie," I say. Qimir can be brutal in battle, but not like that, never. I stand up and try to uncuff my handcuffs.

"He must be stopped," she says, continuing to invade my mind. "Stop him," she says. I fall to my knees. Everything suddenly feels so different. My mind has been broken. I look up at her. "Will you stop him?" she asks. I nod. "Yes, Master," I say, standing up.

She loosens my bonds and gives me back my lightsaber.

We walk to the ship together. "Master Vernestra, where are you taking the prisoner?" asks a Jedi. We stop. "That doesn't have to concern you," she simply says. "But the Council..."

“The council doesn’t need to know anything about this,” she says. We continue walking towards the ship.

Later

I walk down the ramp and see Qimir coming towards me. His expression darkens and he immediately takes out his lightsaber. "What happened to you?" he asks, shocked. I take out my lightsaber and attack him. He dodges. "It's not you," he says and I attack him again. Our lightsabers collide. He pushes me back and pulls my legs out from under me, causing me to land on the ground. Qimir is standing over me. "Your mind has been manipulated, but by who?" he asks. The next moment, his eyes widen in shock and he looks at the ship as Vernestra comes out. "What did you do to her?" he asks angrily. I take the opportunity and pull him to the ground.

I hold my lightsaber in front of his face and am about to swing it. "I love you," he says, and I immediately stop.

He takes the opportunity to tackle me to the ground. I lose my lightsaber and he uses the Force to hold me down.

He looks at Vernestra as she approaches him and draws her lightsaber. Qimir suddenly tenses as memories from that time come flooding back. "I thought I killed you," she says.

Qimir looks at her darkly. "What did you do to her?" he asks angrily. "Let's just say I twisted the truth a little," she says simply.

Qimir looks at me briefly before letting go of me and attacking Vernestra.

"Y/N had nothing to do with it," he growls. "She had a lot to do with it, she should have let you die," Vernestra says, swinging her lightsaber. Qimir parries the attack and immediately attacks again.

I stand up and want to grab my lightsaber, but Qimir uses the Force and takes the lightsaber.

I freeze. What have I done? Did Vernestra manipulate me or not? Is Qimir really that brutal? I didn't realize that Qimir had incapacitated her. "Y/N, listen to me," Qimir says and I glare at him. Before I can react, however, he puts his hands on my face and I close my eyes.

"Y/N," I hear Qimir say and I open my eyes. "Let me," I say and slap his hands away from me and move away. "Y/N, please listen to me," Qimir says, coming closer to me. "Stay away from me. She showed me everything you did. I don't trust you anymore," I say. "What did she show you?" he asks. "You killed children without even hesitating," I say and he looks at me in shock. "No, never. I would never kill children. Y/N, you know me. Let me show you the truth, please," he says and falls to his knees. "I promise you, I will show you the truth," he pleads and for the first time I see Qimir desperate.

"You have to trust me," he pleads. "Qimir," I whimpered. "Please help me," I said desperately. Qimir immediately stood up and placed his hands on my face again. "I'll help you, sweetheart," he said, entering my mind again.

Narrator's perspective:

Memory:

Qimir and Y/N stand next to each other and watch the events of so many years ago.

"We should talk, Padawan," Vernestra says and Qimir looks at her confused. "About what?" he asks. "What is this between you and Padawan Y/N?" she asks. "I don't know what you mean, Master," Qimir says. "I've been watching you both," she says and Qimir tries to keep his composure. "You broke the rules. I'll make sure you never see each other again. It will look like an accident," she says and Qimir's expression darkens. "You will not touch her," he says angrily, attacking her.

Y/N opens her eyes and tears run down her cheek. "I'm sorry," she says, clinging to him. "Please forgive me," Y/N says. Qimir puts his arms tightly around her. "It's not your fault," he says, stroking her back soothingly.

Qimir holds Y/N close to him and feels relieved that everything is finally out.

Y/N raises her head and looks to the side. Qimir moves away from Y/N a little and turns around. He sees Vernestra standing up. Qimir immediately pulls Y/N behind him and takes out his lightsaber. "Stay behind me," he says to Y/N and wants to attack Vernestra.

Y/N grabs her lightsaber, which Qimir dropped when he came to her, and wants to attack her as well.

Vernestra uses the Force and both Qimir and Y/N are thrown back, landing on the ground with a hard thud.

Your view:

"Y/N," I hear Qimir say and open my eyes. "Shit, what happened?" I ask and sit up. I see a ship flying away and jump up. "Too fast," I say and fall over, just before I hit the ground Qimir grabs me and pulls me towards him.

Qimir turns me to face him. "Hey, handsome," I smile. "Hey, beautiful woman," he smiles. "How are you feeling?" he asks. "Exhausted, but also good, and you?" I ask. "Better now that my wife is back with me," he smiles. "I'm sorry, Qimir, it was really stupid of me to fly to Coruscant, and even more stupid to ask Vernestra," I say, looking down at the ground. Qimir gently grabs my chin and forces me to look at him. "Yes, it was stupid, but I should have told you the truth too. I just wanted to protect you," he says, caressing my cheek with his thumb.

"I love you, Qimir," I smile. "I love you too, Y/N," he smiles and pulls me into a sweet kiss.

"I would never believe that you would kill children," I say. "She manipulated you," Qimir says. "But..."

"No buts, I know that you trust me, I trust you with my life, Y/N," says Qimir, smiling. "Shouldn't we stop Vernestra?" I ask. "No, but we should get off this planet. She knows where we are now," Qimir says, taking my hand as we walk back.

We packed up everything we needed and headed to our second ship.

As we enter the ship, Qimir opens a map. "Where are we going?" I ask, and he scans the map. "Here," he says, pointing to a planet called Tatooine. "Wait, isn't it awfully hot there?" I ask. "We'll get used to it," he says. "Hey, you just want to see me in short clothes," I grin, and he shrugs, grinning, before entering the coordinates and starting the ship.

Bonus:

2 years later

"She looks beautiful, just as beautiful as her mother," Qimir smiles, looking down at his daughter. "I don't look beautiful at all right now," I say. Qimir looks at me "Believe me, you look stunning. You gave birth to our daughter. You couldn't be more beautiful right now," Qimir smiles, and tears well up in my eyes. "Qimir," I breathe, and he leans down to kiss me. He pulls away from the kiss and bends down to give our daughter a gentle kiss on the forehead.

"I love you both," he smiles. "We love you too," I smile wearily. "Rest," Qimir smiles.

After a few moments I fell asleep. "I will always protect you two and if necessary I will burn down planets to keep you safe," whispers Qimir.

He watches his wife and daughter and smiles. He still can't believe how lucky he is.

Headcannons for yandere Sky, Time and Hyrule.

Yandere! Lu! Sky x Reader

For starters, Sky is sweet, but he is very manipulative.

Therefore, don't be surprised if you notice you stopped doing many of the things you used to do when you first got through the portal.

Most of the time it's not even bad things!

He might team up with Hyrule and Wild to take care of your main health, like eating habits. If you're a picky eater then expect Sky to slowly transition you into eating a little bit of everything, in no time you'll be eating like Wild does.

Then again, he'll also make sure to get the ingredients to the foods you do eat without struggling, also getting Wild to make a separate meal for you, should you not eat that one specific recipe Wild made for dinner.

You'll probably be getting help from him when it comes to self-care habits as well, like, the max of skin care and hair care you can get at Hyrule. He will make the effort to talk to people who know more about your skin and hair type, those who have it and take care of it well.

But, we can't ignore the genuinely bad things he will try to influence you into doing...

Privacy? Gone.

Not only will he be around you most if not all of the time, but he will also always be paying close attention to you and what you're doing.

So if you believed keeping a journal in your language would help you keep some things to yourself, then think again. The privacy of using your language instead of hyrulean to write in your jornal will soon turn into a mere illusion. Despite being more quiet and seemingly the less imposing of the Links, Sky has already gone, and will keep going through lengths for you, which includes learning the language you use.

Of course he noticed you kept a private journal, and despite you trying to lie about the contents of it, it's only a matter of time until he is skillfully scanning through the pages with his eyes like he's reading his favorite book. Memorizing any and all information he can find about you.

As manipulative as he is, he is also delusional, he doesn't have any idea of what he is doing, he simply doesn't know that what he is doing is wrong on so many levels.

He's not doing anything on purpose, he's just trying to protect you and get you to like him, like a normal guy!! At least, Zelda liked it when he did this with her back then, just how different are you two?

Genuinely, Sky would have a hard time figuring you and your emotions out. You're a human being after all, and he respects that those things are not supposed to be easy to figure out. In fact, he highly respects and appreciates that you're complex.

Not that he'll respect boundaries, nope, no way.

You're a puzzle he's very much looking forward to figuring out. Honestly, the only puzzle he'd ever want to figure out.

So, I'll probably elaborate this later, but the chain as Gods. Sky would be very much a Thor. That means silly blonde lightening man.

Imagine hylians from Sky's era used matching earrings alike engagement rings, like, Sky just randomly inviting you to an overly nice picnic, just to hand you blue earings just like his.

And if you don't have your ears pierced anywhere it'd be even better in his eyes, since he'd just adjust it to be a "normal" ring.

It was actually an engagement ring, but you didn't know that, or any of the other Links, really, since this tradicional custom got lost in time.

Yandere! Lu! Time x Reader

I think pretty much everyone knows Time is a teasing bastard.

Don't get me wrong, he can be pretty mature, but trust me, it's not really common for him to act like that.

Time is used to pretending, he used many different masks to become different races in his journey, that was needed from him at the time, the same way that being the mature one is being needed from him right now.

Just because he is deeply traumatized emotionally and physically from his job as a hero doesn't mean his personality is lost as well.

It didn't change that much since he was a child, not really.

He is addicted to making you flustered, so if you get flustered easily I'm sorry for you.

If making you blush is a challenge then I'm just as sorry for you, because Time isn't quite known for giving up easily.

And he's good at making people embarrassed, too.

The amount of women who were in love with him is everything I need as proof.

But the worst part? He doesn't have bad pick up lines.

Look, Time is a toucher, so yes, his love language is physical touch, that makes sense to me.

That doesn't mean only cuddling, of course, it can mean cuddling and hugging when you're alone, but do expect a few more things.

I was gonna say hand holding in public, especially in crowded places, but you know what? Guiding you by holding the back of your neck is simply easier to him, and a lot more obvious "back off!" to strangers who look at you for far too long.

Also, randomly leaning against you, the two of you may be just walking and suddenly you feel a large mass lightly leaning against your own body, almost making you stumble. you might just be standing in front of the dinner table, reading a recipe book and once again you just feel that familiar presence right behind you, but instead of hugging you from behind he's just there, like he is reading the book along with you.

Remember how you were reading that one recipe book? Well he might give it a try and help you make something in the kitchen just to spend time with you. Like, you're just pouring ingredients in a bowl and he's there "helping" you by wrapping his arm around your waist to give you "emotional support", as he calls it.

He is, in reality, just standing there watching you cook, trying his best to resist the urge to distract you and simply annoy you, because he is still trying to make it seem like he is a mature, grown man, and definitely not one who is eyeing the flour in his reach and thinking about launching a handful of it at you.

You did see his hand slowly reaching for the flour in the corner of your vision. He only stopped once you threatened to scoop out his remaining eye should even a speck of flour hit your face.

Yet, Time is a creative man, flour was only one of his plans.

He's got wandering hands and wandering lips. And he can and will make use of those just to distract you.

And that's how Time became banned from the kitchen when you were the one cooking, only being able to join you for cleaning later.

So yeah, his love language is physical touch, but it is also disturbance.

In that matter, he's not very different from Wind when you two are alone. If you ignore his flirtatious moves, that is. But he's quite different when you two are with the others, especially if you've done, or is doing something to annoy him, then he has to keep up that mature facade of his.

He believes the others won't take him seriously should he reveal his actual personality, so really, when you're around others you'll only get glimpses of it from time to time.

It is mandatory from the Links to be stubborn, but Time takes the cake.

Maybe it is his age, but he will never change his mind, ever. No point in arguing.

So when he is silly, he is silly, but when he is serious he is terrifying, no exaggeration.

The worst part is that older people have a lot of respect in Hyrule, so no matter what he says, his word is law.

Now, don't get me wrong, by now, pet names are just a thing Time always does with you, in a way you barely hear your own name coming from his lips unless he's being really serious about something.

But actual words of affirmation? Not his thing.

He'd much rather be as clingy as glue to you when you're alone.

But, not like Sky's soft, light cuddles. Time Will basically smother you.

Seriously, it may be his sheer muscle mass, but he'll drap himself over you in a way you'll feel yourself surrounded by him.

In fact, the first time he did it you probably almost suffocated.

You'll get used to it eventually, though. Hopefully.

He's pontual and very strict as well, he and Hyrule are probably gonna be bickering in most matters involving you, like, for example, "five more minutes" naps.

Don't even try to trick him, you'll hear stuff like "I was your age once" and shit, the man will act like he's a hundred years old or something.

Then again, he might be, after all, he is older in mind than he is in body.

He was forced to mature quicker and went through a lot of trauma, that, and he also had to go back in time a lot of times.

Now that I think about it, he probably lived for longer than your grandparents. Just saying.

Yandere! Lu! Hyrule x Reader

Don't get him wrong, Hyrule is very much full of love, really. He cares about everyone equally.

Yet, as corny as that is, your name isn't "everyone", you're not anyone, you're you, how could he even think about possibly treating you the same way as he treats everyone else?

You're put on a pedestal, everyone else is treated equally by him, except you, you are treated like you are divine and not mortal like he is.

So you'll feel like a toddler 24/7 around Hyrule, he is not as stubborn as Time, he's just… Persistent.

The other Links will find themselves teasing him for it a lot, even if deep inside they are just the same.

Play nice, walk on the line and you'll have a Hyrule at your beck and call. If you know how to do it right, you will be able to use his babying to your own benefit, because trust me, his persistence can work on the Links much more than yours, after all, they trust him for being another Link.

I feel like he'd also help you keep pets, it may be his fairy nature, but he is just good with animals, especially with forest animals. Be them small or big.

Although he definitely has a soft spot for smaller pets, even more if you're the one asking him to bring along a pet you found.

Surprisingly or not, Hyrule is probably one of the most protective Links if you happen to lean more towards the naive/vulnerable side of the spectrum.

It's a general fairy headcannon of mine, but since fairies take care of forest and the animals there, specially the smaller or more vulnerable types of animals, then it's not new for them to be also quite protective towards humans close to them.

Bonus points if they have those traits.

But then again, you're Hyrule's darling, you may be as strong and independent as a Link yourself, but he'll still see you as in need of his care and attention at all times.

That also may or may not be another reason why Hyrule treats you like a toddler.

So yeah, coddling. Lots of it.

Hyrule is also a fan of small things, trinkets. Natural or shiny... Precious or useless... In his eyes all are treasures.

Treasures you'll find your bags and pockets full of.

He is absolutely a rock, cristal guy.

Imagine, you're just walking to another village, and suddenly Hyrule stops walking for a few moments, just to speed walk towards you again just a bit later, cleaning something he is holding in his hands with the help of his sleeve.

Then he hands you a small, clear rock, grinning.

Better get used to this, it's probably gonna happen at least once every day.

So yeah, love language is gift giving and acts of service.

I feel like he's very awkward with words of affirmation, he didn't spend a lot of time saying or hearing those, after all. Like most of the Links.

the shipwreck arc is kind of crazy with how much it glosses over tbh. a group of highschoolers went missing for like a week and there are almost no consequences because saiko covered it up? come on now.. teruhashi kokomi isn't the kind of girl who can dissapear without sparking a literal national crisis. She got sick one (1) time and the entire school was convinced she was on her death bed. There's no freaking way an extended absence would go well. Especially with the Kokomins. They must've had search parties all over Japan, like come on. Also her brother.. actually now that i think about it that was suchhh a fucked up thing to do to him too. like in the first place theres no way kokomi told him the details of the cruise trip, right? because he would mcfreaking lose it if he knew that she would be on a ship with other boys, including kusuo, isolated in the middle of the ocean overnight. and its not like she can just dip without saying anything, because if she did he would probably call the cops. so maybe she said she would be staying with one of her girl friends, like chiyo. So she leaves and he waits for her to come back, counting down the time to the fucking minute, and she doesn't come. kokomi, who has been stalked frequently in the past. dissapears. he can't reach her phone. if he calls chiyo's family, he'll find out she's missing too. i know makoto's supposed to be the asshole who gets worked up over nothing but this is objectively the correct time to flip out right? like this is objectively fucked up isn't it. eventually kokomi does come back home and.. what? does she tell him the truth about what happened? does she double down on her initial lie? if he realizes she lied to him, would he try to put her on house arrest or some shit? would he channel all of his negative emotions into a different target like kusuo, or saiko who hosted the cruise? wait now that i think about it. between this bullshit and saiko trying to pressure kokomi into marrying him, saiko could really beat out kusuo for the title of "guy makoto hates the most." but saiko has wayy too much money for makoto to do anything to him, so. lol. but anyway what the hell happened between those siblings

How he would treat you when you're sick

Okay I know I have like reqs on pending, but I wanna be self-indulgent atm cause I have the shittiest case of colds rn but I finally have the energy to post something again, so here you go (��>ᗜºั)

The moment you text Miles that you can't go to school cause you're sick, he's already out the classroom

It's quite common for him to skip classes to do Spiderman things, and often times he'd regret it. But when it comes to you? He's ready to drop em all in a heartbeat and would always think it was worth it

It doesn't even matter if it's just colds or cough or something simple, it always sends him in a state of panic and treats it like some life-threatening emergency

Let's go with the headcannon that he is very aware of the love interests of every Spiderman in almost every universe that doesn't really end well

So you best believe he's going to treat you with the utmost care and make sure that nothing every inconveniences you

He'd already be up into his suit and swinging into the drug store and supermarket

As I've mentioned, he deals with this things like you're about to die (you're not) so he grabs all the medicine he could find, even the ones that aren't exactly for whatever sickness you have

And because of this, you have a medicine box full of the many pills and such that he brings to you but weren't exactly needed at the moment (at least you got a lot of supplies right?)

He also buys you snacks, drinks, anything that would get you to eat since he knows people often don't eat when they're sick and he wants to make sure you're well fed and hydrated.

So he goes into your room with a bunch of bags in his hands, and if he sees that you aren't in bed (could be that you're making yourself food, or sitting on the couch or trying to do work despite being sick)????

"Please get in bed." "Miles, I'm fine! What are you—" "YOU'RE LITERALLY DYING JUST GET IN BED." "MILES oh my god—I'M NOT DYING."

Ever since he's become Spiderman, it's quite rare for him to get sick given the boost in his immune system from his powers. So he always ALWAYS confides in his mom but makes her think that you've got some critical illness every single goddamn time.

You have to reassure his mom that you weren't actually on the verge of passing away and that you're just not feeling well and need rest

There's no point in telling him to get back to class, he WILL spend the entire day tending to you and he won't let you do ANYTHING at all by yourself, and if you want to go somewhere around your place, he always has to hold you against him because he fears you might fall or trip or something. (This does not include going to the restroom, but he'd stand by the doorway)

Mans just worried and scared okay?

He also likes to feed you even if you're quite capable of doing so

"My baby is sick okay? Let me take care of you." "Miles, honey, I can eat on my own." "Just say aahh—" "Fucking hell..."

At this point, just let him do it.

Also, he loves to cuddle you up on your bed while you're sick and it's totally fine because he's Spiderman and he doesn't get sick even though you always tell him to scoot away or he'll get sick too (He gets sad when you do this and goes all pouty, pls don't)

Unfortunately for him, being Spiderman isn't guaranteed to keep him sick-free, so he does get your sickness too (if it's infectious)

The amount of people who are singing takes me by surprise as i enter the house party, rather shy. I look backwards and i laugh along with Colby, both of us noticing how everyone's already fired up by alcohol in a pretty small time frame.

We both enter the house and Jake's wide smile greets us in the small hallway, before the rest of the living room and kitchen space open up in front of us. With a bottle of champagne in his hand, he hugs us both and we wish him a happy birthday, patting him on the back and smiling.

"Have a great one, buddy", Colby smiles widely at his friend and i can tell he's reminiscing all the memories he's had with Jake throughout the years. I quickly look away when Colby catches me staring at him, but he chuckles and comes by my side so we would walk around the party together.

We get a drink and find an empty spot right around the open-space kitchen and i jump on the counter, trying to get a better view above all the people who are playing beer pong, Sam included as a competitor.

"I bet 5 bucks Sam is going to ace the game, but when there are 2 more cups to go, he'll lose", Colby laughs as i take a sip of my beer bottle. I laugh beside him and nod, agreeing with him.

"Everything works so smoothly until he's so close to winning", i agree with him and he bumps into me playfully when i jump next to him on the counter. "But, i bet you 10 bucks that it's not gonna be the case this time.", proudly and sure on himself, Colby takes a shot of the tequila he's just poured. We shake hands to seal the deal and watch the intense beer pong game, cheering every time Sam got the ping pong ball into the other's cups. The game went on for a few more minutes, ending in Colby handing me the $10. With a smirk on my face, i gladly grab the money and purse my lips. "i would've let you keep it, but i hate it when you play the I'm so sure on myself card."

He puts a hand on his chest, mimicking he's hurt. "I thought you liked confident guys."

"I do, but the way you portrait confidence has me a little bit nervous and i don't like it when i lose control over my emotions", the conversation goes from 0 to 100 pretty quick, but I've never been this honest with Colby before. The numerous shots of tequila and beer we took throughout the beer pong game make me bring out a certain honesty out of me. I've only known Sam and Colby for 8 months, meeting them when i got to film a ghost investigation with them in New York. Ever since then, whenever either of us had free time, we linked up. Now it's one of those times when i decided to take a break and enjoy a week of holiday and i chose to fly to Vegas to catch up with them.

"I'm not gonna lie, i knew there was something about you that caught my attention that very moment we met", Colby's eyes sparkle, but he almost gulps as he wasn't prepared either for the sentence that came out. "Uhm, I'm gonna go check on Sam real quick", he offers me a quick smile and i nod, my face morphed in a what the fuck expression.

I don't leave the open space living room, but instead of sitting at the counter, i sit behind it and look around the place for more familiar faces, but it looks like not even the other guests know anyone else other than the people that came with them.

"Is this seat taken?", a deep voice comes from behind me. A tall man with the features of an Instagram model, which i actually think he is, stands behind me with a whiskey bottle in his right hand, his left one touching my shoulder. The way he holds it makes me wonder if he can actually stand on his own 2 feet.

"Uhm, sure", i take the chair and move it a bir further from the counter so he could sit down directly and not fall with the chair and the bottle, causing a total mess. Call me practical. I study his face closer as he fights his own balance to sit down, but he keeps pushing the chair with one leg. He's now a lot further than at the beginning and i try my hardest not to roll my eyes, laugh in his face and leave to find Sam, because Colby looks like he lost himself. He has red cheeks and his eyes look heavy, like he's on the verge of falling asleep.

"I'm Ryan", he extends the Jack bottle towards me, only to realise he can't shake hands with the bottle. I bite my lip to hold my laughter.

"I'm-"

"Too beautiful to be alone at a party", Ryan eyes me up and down and i cross my legs, feeling weird because of his unwelcomed stare.

"Well, it's not much of a party anymore, everything toned down after the beer pong", i let out a soft laugh

"We should have our own game", his words make me raise a brow, giving him a sign to provide me more information. "But not something lame like beer pong", he looks somewhere in the corner of the room, basically zoning out as the alcohol keeps ruining his neurons for the night.

"What game?", i cross my arms at my chest, already out of patience with this stranger that definitely doesn't deserve the platform he has, in case he has one. His smirk and the fact that he fights to get closer to me are the only signs i needed to realise that i shouldn't had asked.

"You see, it's me, you, naked and whoever takes more shots off that person's body wins.", he leans in closer and i lean further, but because of the corner cut of the counter, i don't have anywhere else to move. I push him back in his place, but he grabs my hand in his." And if we're not naked, it doesn't work, you know? Cause the glass wouldn't stay in place", he places a kiss kn my hand and i snap it away from him with disgust written all over my face.

"You should go take a shower, an Advil and never leave your room out of respect for yourself. You're making such a fool of yourself, I'm glad nobody's paying attention to you.", i snap and i get up from my chair, only for him to do the same and trap me between him and the counter.

"Where are you going? We didn't even start the game", Ryan's fingers run up my exposed arms and i try pushing him, but this time he doesn't move at all. Instead, he leans in more towards me. He tries to kiss me and i move my head, closing my eyes. I feel a gust of wind and then i hear, a whine. I open my eyes and i see Ryan on the floor, with Colby almost hovering over him.

"Get 10 meters close to her next time and you'll be flying out the window. Knock some sense into yourself, Ryan. Look how pathetic you are. You're hitting on my girlfriend now, tomorrow you'll be hitting on your mate's. You'll get your eyes black before you know it. Be happy i didn't touch your pretty face, otherwise you wouldn't be making bucks on Instagram.", Colby looks down at Ryan who just whines because the room is spinning and he can't grab a hold on himself to get up. We scoff at him at the same time.

"She didn't mention she has a boyfriend"

"She shouldn't. If she doesn't want you, you just let go", Colby grabs my hand and guides me outside the house, Sam following behind. I get inside Colby's Corolla and Sam gets behind the wheel of his car as well, both cars leaving towards their house to spend some time together.

"Thank you for that. I would've done the same to him, i just needed to push him one more time", i fake my confidence as i look out the window, my fingers trembling still

"Didn't you say something about confidence earlier?", Colby asks and we both laugh.

"Shut up", i pinch his bicep.

"You're welcome, I'm glad i could be there to help you", i smile at him one more time before silence takes over the car. We get to their house in less than 10 minutes, the silence being actually bearable and very needed after such a busy evening. "Don't go out yet", Colby stops me before i take one leg outside the car. "I need to talk to you"

"Oh no, am i getting grounded?", i laugh, hoping to get rid of some of the tension building inside. I close the car door and shift in my seat to look at him. He sighs and opens and closes his mouth, unable to come up with words.

"I was selfish tonight. I didn't want to rescue you, i didn't know he was actually forcing himself on you. I got there and snatched him away from you because i thought you were kissing or something", Colby looks away from me and shakes his head. "It was only after that, when i saw your face, that it was something else. And oh man how it got my blood boiling", he looks back at me and half a smirk lights up his face. I give him a small smile.

"I never thought a guy's jealousy would save me one day from a crappy interaction with a dickhead", we both laugh and he cups my cheek, caressing it with his thumb. "What did you call me back there?", he blushes at my question

"My girlfriend?"

"Oooh, that sounds good. Maybe we should rehearse-", he cuts me off by placing his lips on mine, the softness making me push my face closer to his to maks sure they're actually touching. A smile forms on his lips at my move and he pushes back just the way i did. His teeth find my bottom lip and i grab him by the collar as he slips his tongue in my mouth. He pulls me on his lap, our kiss deepening and making my head spin at the taste of him. We both gasp for air, looking in each other's eyes before closing the gap once again. I hold him by the neck and i place quick kisses on his lips, cheek and down his neck, his hand grabbing my ass. A surprised moan escapes my lips and his groan lets me know he liked my reaction. "That was amazing", i barely get the words out, feeling dizzy. Colby's hands rest on my hips and his eyes stare back into mine after he's done checking me out.

"You are amazing. Gosh you're beautiful", he leans in again and i take control of the kiss, biting his lip and running my tongue on top of his.

He lifts me off him to adjust himself better in the car seat, but because of the tight space, my ass presses on the honk, making both of us jump and curse under our breaths.

"Fuck, that's a mood killer", i say as i struggle to get back to my seat

"We have all the time in the world", he smiles widely at me and i nod with the same smile, his statement making me happy from many points of view.

It's interesting, isn't it? Marinette treats Chat Noir like lot of things:

an incompetent random child she's owed to have as mindless minion but whom she doesn't owe to ever actually consider, think about, or help to get better under her 'lead', so she always feels entitled to ask for more and more and to get angry, use, humiliate and disregard him whenever she feels like it or his existence isn't ideally to her convenience in some way (aka 'she's not his nanny but his martyr leader he could never make up for how selfishly he abused')

a pet she's entitled to own for her personal emotional benefit and under whatever bad conditions she prefers for him to be in in her favor, whether he likes it or not, since he's just an animal for her before season 5 and she outright forbids him from running away. Like a pet owner. And she always forces him back with her power over him and then never caring what the problem was because she doesn't like thinking about herself having a flaw that can't be blamed on him not taking care enough of her (Kuro Neko and Kwamis choice).

A pet she can just give to someone else without thinking twice about the pet's perspective cause it's only about the owner's feelings and comfort anyway (100% Hack-San, Marinette just send Alya to Chat as his new owner which is also how Alya initially viewed it. Thankfully, Alya learned within the episode, so in she was to able to tell Marinette in the end that Chat's not a dumb street pet but a person. A revelation Marinette was legitimately caught too off guard by which I'll never get over)

her personal care taker who only exists in this reality for her needs and she doesn't have to give any real emotional support or any other help back when it makes her uncomfortable (which is as good as always). It's an entire unbalanced relationship where she gets showered in emotional labor but she never goes beyond some pretty but empty words that ultimately mean nothing the next time they actually have to mean something (Hack-San, Penalteam). He's even the one who does HER JOB as guardian in their dynamic by being the one to help HER for the 500th time to learn to control her powers (and Alya as Scarabella) while she never once lifted a single finger to support HIM with his powers. Not even when he obviously needed it in season 5.

and her scapegoat she can and will do to whatever she wants to. And she will do so without fail whenever there is a benefit to gain from it and she will excuse it with any blatant lie, weak explanation, toxic double standards, or deceiving action and behavior she can get away with. Then she the puts her need to be understood, validated, and taken care of in front of her actually working on herself as long as he continues never being angry with her ever again for anything ever while always putting HER first which seems to be her main priority by now. Not to be fair, but to just not ever having to face the most basic consequences and work on herself like she constantly demands of him.

Chat Noir is alot, but never a friend and partner because that would require of her to treat him fairly and as an equal. Marinette is COUNTING in their dynamic on the fact that he has "learned his lesson" and he'll never ask of her again to treat him fairly and like an equal. It seems to be her favorite aspect of their entire dynamic at this point. What brings her so much comfort.

That she gets to treat him as anything BUT a real friend and partner and will get rewarded and hailed anyway as the greatest person ever for merely claiming that that's what she treats him as. Or "wishes" she could treat him as despite nothing stopping her at this point besides herself.

Looking at Ladynoir, Marinette has no idea how to be a friend and a partner. Which, in fact, is supported by the rest of her support system, especially Adrien and Luka, but also including Alya.

Alya is the closest person she treats as being her equal and even that bond only really goes one way with Alya doing all the emotional labor and exploration of the Guardians lore, picking up Marinette's slack around everything, dealing with her problems (again, Hack-San and Mr Pigeon 72), and having everything sprung onto her in a moment's notice whenever Marinette needs something while only getting told about the sacrifices she has to do for helping Marinette LATER when it's too late.

Alyanette too is not a healthy dynamic and that's the healthiest relationship Marinette has by FAR.

How much Marinette cares about you seems to show in how much she dumps her problems on you, which explains how both Luka and Adrien end up playing therapist for her. The good faith interpretation here is that Marinette trusts Alya, Luka and Adrien more than others, so she can be vulnerable and show her weaknesses to them. The actual reality is that, in addition, she doesn't have to do much, if anything, in return. All three of these people are willing to just give, give and give, and Marinette is free to just take, take and take with maybe a little "thanks" thrown in to show her appreciation. Even Marinette's appreciation is rarely granted to people, considering her response to Cat Noir's help and attempts to help is often to brush it off as unneeded or downright be insulted at the insinuation that she's falling apart when she's falling apart in front of his eyes.

Yeah, for all I said that Alya gets special privileges no one else gets from Marinette, we need to also look at what these privileges mean for Alya. She gets to know Ladybug’s secret identity = she has to provide Marinette with even more emotional support. She gets to see the Miracle Box = She has to help Marinette with her Guardian duties. She gets to be a permanent holder = she has to lie to her boyfriend on Marinette's orders. Alya being let in on the secret led to her life becoming increasingly all about Marinette and helping her with all her burdens.

In the early seasons, you really got the impression that Alya was doing things even when she wasn't hanging out with Marinette. She had her blog and a boyfriend and she saw her other friends on the regular. Now all we see or hear her do is help Marinette with her various problems, mostly her love life, and then get yelled at when Marinette changes her mind about what kind of help she wants, aka, when Alya justifiably didn't buy her “new feelings” for Cat Noir when she obviously just wanted a Luka 2.0 to pamper her for a bit.

When was the last time Alya talked about her blog in a positive way? I remember when Marinette kept telling her she couldn't post about this or that. Did she have to suspend the blog to reach Marinette's standard of commitment? The writers have all the cast only care about whether or not Marinette gets to kiss Adrien, so it feels like it's been mostly forgotten.

All of Marinette’s relationships are written with Marinette’s comfort as the writers’ primary objective. All interactions are made to be as easy for Marinette as possible when she herself isn't making things harder, with her being instantly forgiven when she does something wrong even when she shows no sign of improving on her behavior because she never intends to hurt anyone, and that’s all that matters. The writers’ number one priority is to make it very clear to the audience that Marinette is the one who feels bad here, and we should really look at things from her perspective.

re: Armand & Lestat's motives for the trial, I'm sure s3 will fill in some blanks wrt Lestat (e.g. if/how he was forced to take part etc) though I didn't find his motives that confusing, i just hope the show does a good job w/ the additional context!

Armand though...I wonder if he'll give an honest account of it all one day? We can speculate that he sold Louis out bc he was disillusioned by their romance, felt unable to fully trust (i.e. control) him & feared inevitable abandonment, so he chose the safety of the coven. I'm satisfied by that explanation as is, I just wonder if we'll ever hear it from him. In the context of the interview itself he clearly had a stranglehold over the narrative & was never about to admit to anything too incriminating. He finally felt secure in his relationship w/ Louis imho and wanted to protect it. But now he has nothing left to lose & no particular reason to lie or cling to the "beige pillow" persona any more. I can't wait to see where they'll take him from here, I'd love to see him go full gremlin-mode for a bit??

No, but on a more serious note, I do hope that the phase for Armand to tell a bit of his story, and to reflect on his part in it all will happen in the show as well - or, maybe, in the spin-off that was once planned, "Night Island".

But then... I mean, even in his own book Armand does not fully ... let's say "explain". He just offers the statement that "he could not love her" (Claudia), and that is why she didn't mean anything to him.

So, IDK. Because yes, his motives... are actually clear, right. He couldn't trust their love - and so he fell back to what he could trust. :/

I don't see that as feeling secure in the relationship with Louis though, on the contrary - he is constantly watching and "spinning the web", as Assad calls it... if he had felt secure, he would not have needed to do that, imho.

But in any case... I cannot wait to see where they take him. Such a fascinating character!!! And we are sooooo lucky with Assad :)

Out of all three, Laughing Jack is definitely the most stoked about having an affectionate and clingy significant other.

My guy has terrible abandonment issues, and he can be a bit clingy himself if the mood calls for it, so to have someone who doesn't want to leave his side? Might as well return him to heaven or something, because nothing will ever get better than that.

He is equally as affectionate if we're being honest.

Yeah, he's a big scary evil clown and all that terrorizes children but he knows how to be nice to the people he likes.

Knowing that you cling to him the way you do, it helps reassure him that you don't intend on leaving anytime soon. I mean, if you wanted to leave him, then you wouldn't be clinging to him like you always seem to do, right?

And so long as you keep clinging to him like you do, then his abandonment issues will rarely ever show up and everything will be all good and a-okay.

Hm... he can't decide if he likes you being clingy or if it annoys him. He won't lie, he loves the attention and it feeds his ego whenever you praise him or call him beautiful. You being affectionate is something he knows he likes. But he's not sure if he's fond of the clingy part or not.

When he first met Nina, she was pretty damn clingy as well, and that made him grow to hate her. To be fair, he didn't harbor any feelings for her. He does harbor feelings for you, however, and it feels different when you cling to him.

There are days when he can't stand you clinging to him, and he'll make it known in a rather rude way, to be honest. But there are also days when he wants you to cling to him because sometimes, your clinging to him feels a lot more genuine than your affectionate words.

He's very 50/50 on it, and it can change by the hour, to be honest. But he's fine with it more often than he's not. Only because he likes you.

But will he ever actually tell you that he likes it? Probably not.

It'll be fairly obvious though. Jeff may be rude, but he's not exactly the best at hiding his emotions around people he feel comfortable with.

Please give him time to adjust because holy shit there's no way he'll be immediately comfortable with you clinging to him. He can barely take a compliment without feeling uncomfortable, so there's no way he'll be fine with physical affection right off the bat.

He'll tense up whenever you throw your arms around him, and it'll be very awkward because he's not entirely sure what he's supposed to do. Does he hug you back or does he just stand there? He's never been super close to people like this before, so it's all still very new to him.

If he becomes too uncomfortable, he'll let you know and will definitely put some distance between the two of you until he no longer feels that way.

He doesn't feel suffocated by your affection and clingy behavior, it's just something he's struggling to get used to because, I mean, Tim does have the mindset of 'I don't deserve this type of love' so it's very hard for him to accept it.

He'll definitely distance himself from you entirely during the events of Marble Hornets because there's no way he wants you getting involved, and he already blames himself for everything that's happening. He doesn't want anything to happen to you.

And if you're still around after the events of Marble Hornets, then honestly he would need your clinginess to ground him.

MacCready doesn't know what to do when he sees a kid walk straight into the Third Rail with nothing but a vault suit and a weapon they surely don't know how to properly use strapped to their side. He'll go up to you before you even get the chance to do anything else in here. He's so worried that someone in Goodneighbor will try to get you hooked on something, so he'll take you straight to Diamond City, even if he hates most of the people there. You remind him of himself when he was that age and he wants to make sure you don't do anything you might end up regretting. He almost adopts you in a way, never really leaving your side out of fear that you'll get hurt. MacCready will do whatever he can to help you reunite with your brother and will be on your side no matter what ends up happening.

Nick feels awful for you. You've lost everything yet here you are trying to gain some semblance of it back. He can't help but want to try and give you some kind of closure for everything you've gone through and will drop everything to try and track down Shaun with you. He's careful with his word choice as he doesn't want you to loose all hope, but he'll tell you the truth if leads end up empty or if there's nothing more he can really do. Nick's not going to lie and tell you everything will be okay, but he will tell you that he'll be there to help you feel better when everything is said and done, no matter how it all plays out.

Cait hates the idea of traveling with a kid, she's so scared that you'll end up like her. She'll do her best to be as closed off as she possibly can so none of her personality rubs off on you, and then she'll take you to an area safer than the combat zone. She doesn't care where it is, as long as you end up in the care of literally anyone else. After that, she'll leave and you'll never see her again.

Danse would immediately take you under his wing and train you to be a soldier. He wouldn't want to shelter you in any way, instead, he'd try to teach you survival and how to live out here in the waste. It'll almost feel like you're in the boy scouts as he'll teach you how to tie knots and make knives and whatnot. He'd hate if you ended up being swayed by the wrong people, or worse, if you ended up dead. He's constantly reassuring you about finding your brother and with the Brotherhood's help, you'll have nothing to worry about.

Preston would be quick to add you to the Quincy group. Something about you being so young and so determined makes him feel all sorts of ways. He's so incredibly appreciative you came along, although, he refuses to make you general, if anything, he'd just promote himself to that position while he takes care of you. Him and Sturges would teach you how to use a hammer so you could aid with rebuilding some of the settlements, but also to just give you a distraction from everything you experienced in the vault. Preston will be super understanding and kind toward you, and the Quincy survivors will begin to feel like the family you never got to grow up with.

Codsworth feels dreadful when he sees you walk down from the vault all cut up and bruised... and alone. He cleans you up and puts you down to sleep. Now that you have no parents he feels that it's his duty to fill that missing role for you and will constantly be doting on you just like your mother would. He finds it so noble that you want to find where your brother was taken and will do everything he can to ensure that you stay healthy enough to be able to continue forward, even if sometimes he struggles to find anything non-irradiated for you to eat.

Piper will be like an older sister to you, giving you a bedtime and occasionally making you attend the school in Diamond City. She's even more determined to get security to start looking into synths and the Institute when she hears you're story and will look into it more deeply while you're in class or busy hanging around Nick. She doesn't care that you're a kid or that this isn't the world you're used to, she's still prepared to defend you and have your voice be listened too.

Curie thinks it's amazing that you've come so far with next to nothing. Her Miss Nanny instincts make her want to travel with you if nothing else than to keep you safe. I don't think she'd have too much of a concept of how dangerous it is for a kid to be wandering around in a wasteland and would probably just treat it as any other normal day. You and her would learn a lot together as you wandered the Commonwealth and it'd probably be the most wholesome pairing on this list as you both still hold that childlike wonder and curiosity.

Strong thinks you're a good enough leader for making it all the way to the top of Trinity Tower with your size, and would agree to follow you just the same as if you were an adult. He thinks your goal in finding your brother is dumb and useless, saying something like "Won't find, Shaun most likely dead". He's got no remorse and if you ever cried in front of him he'd start insulting you. Nonetheless, he'll try to raise you as a mutant and convince you to start doing more mutant-like things. Someone would have to step in and get you or you'd grow up to be a cannibal.

Hancock freezes when he sees a child walking around Goodneighbor. This place isn't for you and he'll go up to you, take your hand, and lead you up to the Old State House to question you about why you're here and where you're parents are. He'll escort you over to Diamond City and hand you off to Nick. He knows he's a bad influence and would rather you be with someone who can actually help you with you're case rather than drifting around in Goodneighbor where anyone could snatch you.

Deacon hates that you joined the Railroad. It just isn’t the place for a kid to be around and he’d rather hand you off to any of the other companions, however, he can’t help but think of how good a kid spy would be or how badly he's always wanted to raise a kid. He’ll try to shelter you and keep you away from violence as best he can while also telling you jokes and teasing you about being the “youngest looking 200 year old” he’s ever seen. He has mixed feelings on it, but he does end up teaching you how to lie really well and get away with things you normally wouldn’t have. Deacon loves having you around, but he can’t help but feel you don’t belong in an environment like this and will almost certainly hand you off to someone else if he feels that it's beginning to get too overwhelming.

X6-88 isn't all too sure how to feel. He's not sure how you managed to make it all the way to the Institute, and he isn't sure why Father would just release you from the vault with nothing going for you. He thinks it's incredibly admirable of you to care so much about your brother and has high respect for you even if you're just a kid. He'll ensure that you'll never have to scavenge for food or water or any other resource ever again. Everything will be taken care of by him and he will make sure that you're 100% safe if you continue traveling the wasteland.

Dogmeat will be slightly more protective over you, sticking closer by your side as you wander around. Sometimes he'll even bite your shirt and drag you into some bushes to avoid a swarm of mutants or raiders. Besides that, nothing will really change with him.

Old Longfellow doesn't know why you keep hanging around him, but he doesn't mind all that much. He'll buy you some apple juice or something while you sit with him in the bar maybe even a sip of his beer and just listen to all your tales and stories of the Commonwealth. He'd end up just accepting that you probably won't leave him alone and just escort you to wherever you want. He might even take you on a boat and teach you how to fish if he likes you enough. One thing you can trust when traveling with him is that he'd never let anyone on the island take advantage of your young age or naivety. He's constantly on the lookout for anyone who might want to influence you in a certain way and will quickly put an end it if he sees it happening.

Gage can't help but laugh at his own expense when he sees a kid walk out of the Gauntlet and into the Cola-Cars Arena. How the two of you seemed to end up in the worst situations will always be funny to him and he hated that he had to be the one to announce you as the Overboss to everyone else in the park. He already knows Nisha is going to tear his throat out when she hears the news. He doesn't really expect you to live for very long and thinks you even being here is an absolute joke, but he'll treat you like he'd treat any other Overboss and would be amazed if you actually got the power working again. In fact, all of the other gang leaders would be. It'd almost be like having a bunch of older siblings defending you at every turn.

The Arcana HCs: M6 when a spell goes wrong and they're stuck as a small child for a day

It's been a while since your little mishap with your notebook and spell development. At this point, your day as a toddler has become a funny story to share with guests over dinner. You're reminiscing on it early one morning as you lie awake next to your slumbering beloved. You never did figure out exactly what was going on with that circle. You decide to flip through your notebook and take another look at it while you wait for your darling to wake up.

As you're reading back over it, you feel them stir next to you. "MC? What are you looking at?" Still half asleep, they reach over to pull you closer, but instead their hand falls flat against the page. One bright light later, you're gazing over wide-eyed at the small child rubbing their eyes next to you.

Julian

Figures out his predicament almost immediately. From the way you're looking at him to how small his hands suddenly are, he knows

What neither of you expects is the pipsqueak voice that comes out of him when he opens his mouth to talk to you

"MC, I - ah! Is that my voice?!"

He's going to spend the next hour while you make and eat breakfast trying to figure out the funniest thing to say in a child's voice, ranging from his extensive knowledge of curse words to lectures on medicine to warbling ancient Vesuvian operas

Malak thinks it's fantastic. He's following nearby, cawing along to whatever Julian has to say

You end up putting him in one of his normal dress shirts, which looks like a dress on him now, and using a scarf for a sash

He'll get bored rather quickly - all of his favorite activities are off the table until he's an adult again

You remember him mentioning living with his parents on one of their merchant ships as a boy though, so you take him down to the docks

A couple polite requests later, and several of the sailors agree to let him explore their ships as long as he doesn't get underfoot

It's a special time for him, running around a ship with the same perspective that he had when his parents were alive. It unearths some memories he had previously forgotten and that makes him so happy

You also had Malak take a message up to the palace inviting Portia down (you didn't want to risk losing Julian in the crowd in the trek up) and she arrives just in time for lunch with Mazelinka in tow

Portia absolutely gets misty-eyed seeing her brother like this again, she always used to think he was so grown-up next to her but realizing he was just a child too is doing things to her heart

You'll have a late lunch on the beach together before heading back to his house

Since all three of them are feeling nostalgic, Julian, Portia, and Mazelinka will pass the afternoon reminiscing on what life was like the last time he looked like this

They leave before the sun sets - they have lives to get back to, and you have dinner to prepare

The first thing he does after poofing back is bellow out a raunchy sea shanty and hunt down the liquor he's been saving in the back of the cabinet. He missed being an adult

Asra

They knew what has happening as it happened, they saw their palm landing on the spell circle and had resigned themselves to the outcome before the light had faded

The first thing he does is take full advantage of his new size to snuggle up on your chest and fall back asleep

And hey, it's several hours before their normal wake-up time, and it's not like you'll be able to do anything else today, so you fall back asleep too

When you re-awaken it's to a suspiciously quiet house

When you find him he's tucked away in a corner with Faust, scheming brainstorming about the opportunities his temporary shift affords him

You're able to distract them with breakfast, but it quickly becomes obvious that their attention span is considerably shorter and their sense of propriety considerably less inhibiting than their adult form

Cue a wild game of chase around the closed shop, Faust watching gleefully from the rafters as Asra keeps setting off latent spells just to watch your reactions before scampering off in a fit of giggles

They're surprisingly docile once you catch them though, as soon as you've got your arms around them they're cuddling up. You've never held a snugglier child

There's also the issue of clothes - none of his clothes fit, and he couldn't care less. You end up tying a shawl around him and knotting it in the back where he can't reach to take it off when it hinders his freedom of movement

If you need to have a serious conversation with them it's entirely possible, they're just living in the moment

You manage to pack a lunch and take him over to Aisha and Salim's

To say they're overjoyed is an understatement. They missed so much of Asra's childhood and growing up, and you've just given them several hours of that back

For the first fifteen minutes or so, he's got his guard up a little. It takes a lot of vulnerability to revisit that stage in life, with the parents he so keenly felt the loss of

But then one of them cracks an inside joke, and all the emotional walls come tumbling down

You get to spend the rest of the day getting a glimpse into the past, of what their family was like before the hard times started

You're also relieved that you're not the only one responsible for keeping them in check

As soon as he poofs back, he's waving goodbye and heading out the door with you. He misses his kisses

Nadia

She realizes a split second after you do, and she is Not Impressed

She's spent most of her life trying to outrun being perceived as the baby of the family, and now here she is - a baby!

She's not upset with you though, she knows if there's anyone to blame it's her for touching the page like that and the look on your face says you didn't mean to

She also knows that there's still Vesuvia to run - oh well, it looks like she'll be taking a vacation

She's standing on the bed, robe pulled around her, arms crossed over her tiny rib cage as she gives directions for her absence

You're quickly realizing that her sense of authority didn't come from ruling Vesuvia - it's clear she was just born with it

Finding a good outfit for her to wear is also quite difficult. She knows it's last minute, but one of the ways she combats her own insecurities is by appearing as put together as possible at all times

You're not sure what to do at first. You know the last thing she wants is to be in touch with her family right now, and she'll get bored quickly if she just stays inside her chambers with you

Luckily for you, she knows exactly what she wants to do - and that is everything that she wasn't allowed to do the last time she was this size

She's leading the way to the stables and getting ready to ride off into the sunset before you can blink

It quickly gets tiresome though. She was already sneaking off the last time she was this age, and she already knows all the area around the palace

Your wave of inspiration hits as it gets close to lunchtime. She's always wanted an incognito tour or Vesuvia. This is the perfect chance

She's immediately for the idea. She was never allowed to do this as a kid, and it's something she still struggles to get away with

You find her some every day kid's clothes in the marketplace and spend the afternoon wandering the streets, giving her a taste of the "real" Vesuvia

By the time you're heading back to the palace as the sun sets, her whole perspective about the day has shifted. She might ask you to do this again, if she needs to do something undercover

She chooses to wait until after poofing back to have dinner. After the day she's had, she wants her Golden Goose

She eventually agrees to let you tell parts of the story to her family members. Watching their reactions helps remind her that they did not look down on her, but truthfully admired her as a kid

Muriel

Completely frozen. It's up to you to make the first move

He understands what happened as soon as it happens, but he's in denial about it

He'll only start moving once you ask him if he's okay, if anything hurts, if he can talk, etc

The sudden levels of attention you're showing him will spur him to action and then he'll start responding again, shifting around and pulling the shirt he's drowning in closer around his shoulders

You'll probably end up tucking him back in bed and suggesting he rest and get over the shock a little more while you prepare breakfast. He'll agree because he's not sure what else to do

It really hits home with him when he sits down to a full, hot meal at the small table with you. You accidentally prepared the amount that the two of you normally eat and he doesn't remember ever having a full stomach at this age

You'll watch him wolf down his plate and then pause, struggling between the instinct to eat while there is food and the desire to savor having more food than he can eat

The morning continues like that, with him silently processing all the ways his life has changed for the better from his childhood's perspective

There is a funny moment with the chickens when it's time to feed them, of course

They've had to wait a few extra hours, so as soon as they hear the feed bucket they're charging at you twice as aggressively as normal

Now that he's small, they don't seem as tiny to him any more, and the hungry chicken avalanche leaves him a little shaken

You decide to give him a day as quiet and pleasant and safe as he deserved as a kid

You'll pack a big lunch of his favorites and go on a quiet stroll through the woods, listening to the bird song and admiring the plants

It's a strange experience for him because he's so used to being the biggest thing in the woods that having to look up at stuff is weird, and slightly frightening

On the other hand, the different vantage point has him noticing all kinds of details that never stood out to him before

Eating your packed lunch together in fields where the grass grows above his head is surreal. Being able to lie down next to you and know that only you and the sky and birds can see him is liberating

When he poofs back after returning to the hut, it's the first time he's felt truly thankful for his size. He can protect you better like this, now that he's been reminded of what the world can be like when you're small

Portia

It takes her a second. She hit the notebook instead of your face because her curls were in her eyes, and they're still in her eyes, but why are her arms so short when she pushes them out of her face?

Whoah, you've turned into a giant. Scratch that, everything is big now, that means she must have shrunk

Now she's spotting the notebook in your hand and the shock on your face, and her own voice confirms it

"MC, I just set off a spell, didn't I?"

You're nodding slowly, watching her carefully stand up and look around

When she turns back to you, it's with an all-too-familiar look of mischief

"This bed is huge when I'm this size! I don't have to worry about breaking it at all!"

She's bouncing on the bed, shrieking with laughter and giggling, and all you can feel is relief that she sees the mishap as a good thing

She'll ask you to send a message giving her the day off of work, of course, and then she'll start brainstorming things to do while she chases a very confused Pepi around the house

"Do you think they'll give me pastries if I ask nicely since I'm so small now? You have to admit I'm pretty cute. I bet I could ask for anything!"

So. Much. Energy. You end up leaving her to her own devices while you get breakfast together, and by the time she sits down to eat she's already deconstructed the entire living room

All of her shirts have wide necklines and don't stay up on her tiny form, so you have to put her in one of your own with a ribbon for a sash. Good luck trying to tie up her curls

You decide to take her into town for the day, on the condition that she not let go of your hand. You both agree eventually to tie a ribbon around her wrist for you to hold on to just in case

You're able to find her clothes that fit, and get a read on Julian's most likely location

As soon as you find him and he spots Portia, he is one smiling mess. So much of his identity is wrapped up in trying to be a good older brother to her, and now he has the chance to do that as an adult

He'll put her up on his shoulders and the three of you will saunter through all the fun parts of town, getting into all the best kinds of trouble

You'll get a summons from Nadia as well for afternoon tea. She wants to see one of her best friends as a child too

When Portia poofs back that evening all the exhaustion will hit her at once like a wave. This day will become one of her fondest memories

Lucio

Is convinced that you're just playing mind games to make the world look bigger than it is until you show him the notebook and explain that it's the same spell that hit you previously

He's a little panicked now. He's been able to survive this long because he was strong and vicious, and when he needed your help his big thing to contribute was his ability to protect you

What if you decide to leave because he can't protect you like this? He couldn't blame you, after the past you unearthed with him he knows you know exactly who he is and sometimes it's hard to believe you love him anyways

You can recognize those wide eyes and trembling lips anywhere, the first thing you're doing is pulling him into a hug

The hug does him in, Morga was never the affectionate type and being held in a such a safe embrace when he feels so small makes him fall apart a little

Will deny any and all emotional vulnerability. He has a reputation to uphold, dammit

You'll get him situated with one of his shirts and a scrapped together sash. He's too busy marveling at having both arms again to complain about it not being stylish

Quickly realizes from your reactions to his requests that he is in fact adorable in this form. Contrary to your expectations, he doesn't mind that at all

It's also becoming more and more apparent that the child-likeness is affecting him. It turns out his obsessive love of partying comes from a very playful nature

If you're on a job at the time, you'll decide to make it a travel day

He'll find a stick to use as his sword and tuck it into his sash since you've temporarily confiscated the real one

He's running circles around you, yelling his little boy's heart out, scrambling up every large rock you pass so you can compliment his climbing skills

Each time you praise him he'll flush, his normally sharp smile softer with the baby fat on his cheeks and his scrawny chest all puffed up with pride. Being a kid around someone who lets him actually act like one is the best thing that's ever happened to him

And that's how most of the day passes, traveling a bit slower than usual through nature, listening to his breathless story telling as he fights off imaginary beasts with his wooden sword and kissing the bumps and scrapes he gets so they heal better

He begins to get a little scared when night falls, because he knows his golden day is about to come to an end

So as soon as he poofs back, you pull him back into your arms so he knows you will always be there to hold him, no matter the state he's in

Do you have any theories about David and Arei’s convo in the relaxation room? Since I do think it’s most important for David and especially Arei (if Ace’s account is 100% true) since I feel the moment is important for her arc before she ended up dying.

I apologize for the late reply to your ask, I've been writing up a lot of different posts + It was hard for me to come up with a theory for what you asked, cause this is a part of the trial I don't necessarily think about a lot. But I'll try my best for you! Before we get into it though, I guess I should start off by saying that like you alluded to in your ask, we don't even know if Ace is telling the truth or not. Both him telling the truth and not telling the truth have inconsistencies in their logic that we simply do not have enough information to confirm or deny. That being said, however: I personally do think that Ace is telling the truth about David and Arei's conversation. For one, from Ace's perspective, I don't necessarily see the logic in telling a lie. Ace isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he is very aware of how others feel about him.

(x) Ace: Ooohhh, I get it. Ace: You all think I'm damaged in the head. I got that. But more than that... Ace: Levi, Teruko, Nico, Veronika, and everyone else. You all think you can say whatever the fuck you want to my face, right? Ace: I'm stupid, irritating, a good-for-nothing, and a spineless coward. Ace: Is that what everyone really thinks about me? And it's fine that you drill it into my head over and over again, because you think that I'll forget about it in 5 minutes like you do?

Hell, him waiting until he's basically the main suspect to release his alibi most likely hints that he knew that the cast wasn't going to believe him (which he was right, most didn't), and if that really was his thought process, why would he lie when he knows the cast will most likely not believe him anyway? The second reason as for why I think Ace is telling the truth with his testimony is because of this

(x) David: My secret is that I have a family history of depression. Veronika: My, coming right out with it. Arei: ... David: The reason you're all fighting... It's because you're stressed from this killing game, right? More specifically, stressed over this motive.

I recommend watching the actual clip because it's hard to capture what I mean in just text, and I fear this might be a slight asspull, but at the same time I have learned that DT-Dev doesn't just include dialogue to fill space, everything a character says, even if it's just ellipsis, more than likely has a purpose behind it. So why is Arei shown to say nothing in response to David, instead of just cutting to David's next line after Veronika's? To me personally, I think it was to show Arei's understandable confusion at David saying a secret that wasn't the one she saw. So I do think that Ace was telling the truth with what he saw. That does open up a few question marks, like why Ace didn't hear anything after a certain point despite being literally right near the door, but I assume those will be filled in as time goes on if he really is telling the truth. With that cleared up, I think we should get to what you actually want to hear anon: What happened during the conversation itself. Something about David is that when he is interrogated, especially of something that goes against his image, he has one of two reactions: A) he'll shoo the person away, acting dismissive and blunt

(x) Teruko: Then which one is yours? Tell me, since you're all about sharing secrets-- David: Seriously, will you shut up already? David: ...Please?

or B) he'll completely double down

(x) David: I'm a lying, manipulative, scumbaggy piece of shit. Is that what you all wanted to hear?

(x) David: Tch. Listen to me. I'm not the killer-- David: ... David: [Sigh] David: I know when to give up. Like I said, I don't want to end up like Min. Futilely fighting a war that I can't win. David: Tch. Fine. David: Hahaha... David: Ahahahaha!! Oh, fucking fine. David: I... David: I killed Arei. David: Does hearing that make you happy?

(honestly the last 17 minutes of ch2-11 can be described as david doubling down, but these are the main two examples.)

Personally, I think David ended up doing both in the Arei conversation. At first he tried to dismiss her accusations, but since Arei is an incredibly stubborn person, he ended up doubling down on them, most likely acting very similarly to how he does in the latter half of CH2-11. This would most likely follow up with an argument between David's philosophy that no one will ever change and that people are born either good or bad people, and Arei's newfound desire to become a good person after bullying and manipulating others for so long, a hope that David gave her. Both of the people in this scenario are very much guided by their emotions, and said emotions are very high by the time Ace's flashback is cut off. I'd say it's an inevitability. As for what would happen after that, I'm not entirely sure. But those are the predictions that I'm sure about. If anyone has something to add, than please do so in the notes.
