I’m going to ramble now if that’s ok-

WARNING:: long and messy ramblings about AU ideas, headcanons and body horror/gore mentions up ahead

My Lamb’s story is actually pretty simple: they were born as Aluhé (ahl-weh) to a family filled with traveling performers. They traveled throughout the land of the Old Faith, worshipping the gods (especially Shamura) and performed to earn money to maintain themselves. Life was good up until rumors of the prophecy foretold by the Bishops spread towards the little hers; when Aluhé came of age they learned of said prophecy and that that was the reason why their family “settled down” in a (supposedly) hidden village.

Eventually, heretics arrive and they kill the herd safe for Aluhé and they escape, meet a flock of goats and Jahel (goat co-op character) and then run away due to guilt only to be captured by heretics and be introduced to the bishops.

After meeting Narinder and obtaining the crown, Aluhé refused to do anything in his name — refused to start a cult or touch the crown or anything… for months

they met Koi when they were planning to simply kill the Bishops bare handed and instead save her from being sacrificed (haha me too!). They don’t run the cult per say — mostly due to the fact they don’t want to get attached to anyone but they feel a strong sense of… protectiveness when it comes to the flock, going as far as appointing disciples to ensure the cult is safe and beating the life out of heretics that get a little too close for comfort to the cult grounds.

THE CROWN TAKES SUCH A MASSIVE TOLL ON ALUHÉ HOWEVER — apart from the fact that Aluhé is “easily corrupted” being fueled by a blind sense of justice towards the culling of their species over a family’s spat and a selfish fucker’s decisions, the crown latches on to their body and often does so when Aluhé has their guard down. This allows for certain changes to occur — the lack of hunger, exhaustion and ability to “morph” their body being a few of them.

It doesn’t help that Aluhé refuses to use the crown to fight unless absolutely necessary (because they hate dying because it means hearing Narinder talk and because they’ll end up angry all over again—) and often wears the crown around their neck.

This causes certain personality changes as well: Aluhé is typically quiet and docile when engaging with the flock if only a bit intimidating. They don’t talk to the followers unless necessary and only exchange actual conversation with their disciples. Since no follower is allowed to go on crusades with Aluhé they’re omitted from the fact their benevolent leader is in fact very, very, very, violent

They’d often consume heretics during their final moments or force feed their remains to the few that tried to get away (and failed) so they’d choke and die — a brutality that spread towards the bishops and their own disciples (Narinder still remembers how vile it was to see a meek little lamb get up and tear Barbatos to shreds, only to then use one of the worms’ teeth to sink it into Leshy’s flesh. Charming, really). This only strengthens when they kill Narinder and are eventually crowned the new god of death… among other things… and their body eventually adapts to the changes but it takes a toll on their mental health (

Since the two had a very interesting conversation before Aluhé was sent to be sacrificed:

When the Bishops are killed and, eventually, brought back to life per the Mystic Seller’s request, Aluhé refuses to heal them or allow for their bodies to heal until they repent or make a pact with them to ensure obedience as they join their flock. Goes about as well as you can imagine

A big little change I made was that I made the Bishops Embodiments of their titles rather than just gods worshipped for it.

So Narinder is the Embodiment of Death, Leshy is the Embodiment of Chaos, etc. despite having somewhat mortal bodies they are still connected to their godhood and this will not change due to the fact that the world still needs gods in order to maintain balance — it also means that Aluhé is not just the god of death but the god of other things; it also means they have.. a union with Narinder, so to speak

The Gods have vessels for the sole purpose of their finding their replacements (because the gods will exist, even if they are not the same person they once were years ago) or to gain more worship and strengthen their power. When the Old Faith started getting greedy (coughs, Narinder) it was harder to find willing vessels or the right type of vessels to take on the task of bringing the Siblings more worship. It took years to find the proper candidates for Leshy or Kallamar (because the fucker was so PICKY /j) and it also caused a bit of horror to the siblings to see Aluhé reject the Red Crown as though it were simple

Aside from the Siblings being somewhat “dormant” and Narinder not being within the cult and Shamura traveling with Jahel… there’s a lot of silly little lore I managed to put into the four of them because I thought it’d be fun to explore the capability of Vessels and Gods and “War/Death Incarnate” as a whole — there’s a lot of story lore I don’t want to spoil but you can have these as a treat:

Having emotional hang-ups/grief about LOSING HER FAMILY, WATCHING HER HOMETOWN BURN, AND NEARLY GETTING SKEWERED TO DEATH AS A GODDAMN TEENAGER

Like seriously wtf. And these weren't even Clerith people going after her. They just thought that her being rightfully upset/depressed in certain scenarios was "annoying" or somehow taking away from Cloud's trauma or the group's or something. Like god forbid any of these characters have mental health issues that influence how they interact and engage with conflict. Seriously, Tifa is an entirely blameless party in every one of these games and the fact that I've actually seen posts where her being upset about HER FATHER DYING is somehow a detriment to her character...seriously what the actual hell. And then the same people adding on that Brian Lockhart is apparently a dick for being protective and uptight about his daughter (still legally a child at the time btw) after recently losing his wife. Like??? That's completely understandable dad behavior?????? There's literally nothing wrong with it????????

Seriously, this community sometimes smh. Characters should be allowed to have internal conflicts. They should be allowed to feel things and narratively express those feelings without everyone dogpiling on them.

GOOD MORNING!! Sorry that this is so late, my professor assigned some super hard assignments smh🙏 I honestly find it very interesting to think about the bsd characters in some vampire au so ty for this ask:3

I don’t normally write for Fukuchi but because this is just a small blurb I figured why not! Bram is also different from the others, as his doesn’t take place in an au and instead takes place in canon. Everyone else’s takes place in an au where their vampirism has a completely different set of rules from Bram’s!! You won’t become mindless if they bite you ty

I feel like Fukuchi has the most control out of any of them? He doesn’t really bite you often because he feels like it’s immoral. He’s already committing enough immoral crimes that completely go against everything him and his image stand for. He’s a war hero after all, why would he want to hurt more people than he already has to, especially when hurting you isn’t even going to save anyone. The only real exception would be if he was quite literally starving, and if you’re in poor health? Forget it. He’s never biting you. He would never bite you recreationally, it would only be if he was hiding from another organization and hadn’t eaten in multiple days.

If he were to bite you though, it wouldn’t be very different. He is a man with a lot of willpower and control. He’s able to control himself better than anyone else on this list, in all honesty. He’ll drink the amount he needs to be sustained, then he’s finished. No more no less.

He would enjoy eating nice meals, like perfectly cooked steak, or other things similar. He wouldn’t be very fond of roadkill, because he has the funds to eat at 5 star restaurants pretty much every day. Why eat things he sees on the side of the road?

Bram is similar in the sense that he has self control. He’s aware of the fact that if he were to bite you, you’d be subjected to becoming nothing more than a mindless, blood sucking creature. That isn’t what he wants from you. He wants to be with you for the rest of his days, even if he knows it isn’t realistic because you’re merely human. He’ll try to simply come to terms with the fact he won’t have you for very long, but it’ll only take him maybe 4 months after he’s gotten his body back for him to go on the hunt for something that can make him human, or safely turn you into a vampire. He’s aware of the page because of Fukuchi, and it’s his number one goal to get a hold of it now. He’d prefer to get it by teaming up with whoever is in possession of it, but if that doesn’t work out, he isn’t afraid to take a more villainous approach. Anything to keep you.

In terms of biting you, he never has because he knows what will happen. But oh god has he fantasized about it. It’s all he thinks about. You’d look so pretty with his fangs in your neck.

He didn’t really eat much before he got his body, only being fed whenever Fukuchi had someone he wanted turned, but that didn’t happen much until the vampirism outbreak. Now that he’s gotten his body back, he doesn’t bite people as one, he would feel unfaithful to you, even if nothing became of it and it was purely for feeding. He also wants to make a conscious effort to be good for Aya’s sake. He eats food you make for him. He doesn’t really like going out in public often, so he allows you to cook for him. You’ve made plenty of meals with blood in them, like animals, but you’ve also introduced him to other types of food, and even if they serve him no nutritional value, he finds them delicious.

Fyodor would love to bite you. If you’re just another pawn on his comically large chess board, then he’ll drink your blood with no real intent of giving you anything in return. Sure, he’ll toss you a rag, but you have to clean yourself off! He’s so horrible. If he cares about you, however, he is strangely tender. He has a sense of self control, but sometimes he gets so desperate for your blood he can’t help himself! He’ll hold you down and nibble into your shoulder. He likes biting your shoulder a strange amount. He can’t explain it, it’s just a nice, convenient spot to bite. This is why he loves it when you wear tops with thin or no straps. Makes for east access! Also let’s not forget that this man is anemic. He’d like to bite you to help get his iron levels up, so at least him constantly asking for you to let him bite you has some practical use? If you say no to him biting you, he’ll respect it. He cares about you, he wouldn’t do anything against your will. You’re the light of his life, after all. You’re perfection, therefore, what you say goes.

Whenever Fyodor does bite you, he’s quite literally on top of you, straddling you. He likes the power it gives him, even if in your opinion, he looks rather pathetic biting you while literally straddling you and trembling from how good you taste. He also likes to bite you from the back sometimes. He’ll walk up behind you, hugging you and swaying from side to side before grazing his fangs over your shoulder, awaiting your permission. He is capable of pacing himself, but if he begins ti notice you're getting dizzy more frequently, or you're getting woozy while he's biting you, he'll stop and clean up your bite, wordlessly cleaning you up and cuddling you.

He also likes to eat fine dining. Nothing can quite compare to the taste of your blood, but there are some fair substitutes. He will drink your blood whenever the opportunity presents itself, but he'll also take the two of you out to a nice restaurant and let you order whatevee you please, while he'll order something simple and bloody.

Nikolai is certainly the most strange when it comes to his behaviors. When he bites you he’ll take the blood left over and wipe it on your cheek or something weird like that😭 he also likes biting you in weird places because he finds it funny?? Like he’ll nibble on your fingertips and shit just for funzies?? Similarly to Fyodor, he would bite you whenever given permission. He doesn’t try to limit himself, if you give him permission, why stop? He’d treat you like fine dining. You’re sweet and yummy and Nikolai can’t get enough of it! If you were to tell him no, say that you don’t want him to bite you, he’d roll his eyes playfully but agree. He obviously wouldn’t want you to leave him because he bit you without asking! Then he wouldn’t be able to drink your yummy blood anymore. He also does care about what you have to say, even if he doesn’t admit it because he feels like it makes him seem less free.

As I said earlier, he likes biting weird obscure places, like your fingertips. He’ll lean down like a gentleman and kiss the top of your hand, slowly trailing down and kissing your knuckles, then your fingertips, before finally nibbling your finger tips. As he kisses you he places him hands on your stomach to press you down onto the nearest couch or bed, so you’ll be sitting up comfortably while he leans ahead of you. He also likes biting places like your collarbones, arms, etc. as much as he likes biting in weird obscure places, the neck is nice too. It’s simple, but affective.

He pretty much only drinks your blood..he’ll go a few days without eating (luckily vampires can last sufficiently longer without food that normal humans can), so once you’ve rebuilt your energy he can drink your blood again. Rinse and repeat that process over and over again, and you’ve got Nikolai’s eating habits. He’s also a messy eater..there will be blood pretty much dripping from wherever he bit you when he’s done so he can wipe it on your face or body.

We’ve already talked about Sigma a fair amount, but I’m down to cover the basics. He loves to bite you, in fact nothing can quite compare. He’ll bite you and once he’s done he has this appreciative look on his face. He loves that you’re willing to let him bite you, but he also feels bad. He tends to space out when he bites you, and he prefers biting you in places that have more fat so it hurts less. He’s already a thigh guy but he especially loves biting you there.. your neck is also a good spot to bite though. It’s a little more painful for you, though, so he tends to not bite you there often.

When he’s finished biting you he’ll just lick up the blood, and get a towel. If you’re too tired he’ll just set you down and take a bath with you, bandaging up wherever he bit you. If you’re not, he’ll treat you real good to make up for it. He may love biting you, but somehow, seeing how you’re attached to him at the hip, clinging onto him for the rest of the day is even more satisfying. He finds it cute.

He loves eating stuff you make for him and stuff from nice restaurants, and despite the fact nothing can quite compare to you, he knows he can’t realistically drink your blood every day. You’d get sick, and not to mention it would cause a lot of swelling and bruising. He’d rather space it out.

I was tempted to make this sufficiently more nsfw, but I decided to refrain from anything sexual outside of biting as I didn’t wanna deviate from the original prompt too much..

You always seem to find yourself staring at any sort of reflection. Whether it would be a mirror or even a window, you were always met with a vision of your younger self, being slightly thicker side. Even though, you had lost weight, your past always seemed to have ways to haunt you. Through the way you eat, through the way dark thoughts always find their way back into your mind.

Nevertheless, you had managed to slowly recover from your way of thinking, through the help of your parents’s support. But one thing still remains the same, it was the portion of food you would eat.

In time, though, your confidence had also improved, it was enough to ask your parents if you could go to school again.

And to your surprise, they allowed you to. Although they had agreed to let you go to school, tears were flowing down your parents’s eyes, finding themselves proud of your improvement on your self image. It was safe to say that they cared a lot about you and your mental health, seeing that your parents had bombarded you with many questions, ‘Would you be ok?!’ ‘Do you know a way to contact us?!’ ‘Update us whenever you can!’.

The usual things concern parents would say. It took you about an hour reassuring them that you were okay, and that they shouldn’t have to worry too much. Eventually they finally left, letting you to go into the school of magic at last.

During the months in school, you had made friends, which would then lead to the creation of friend group consisting of Mash, Lance, Lemon, Finn, and Dot. They had truly made you feel comfortable, they had made you feel safe. That safe feeling almost made you forget about your experience from the past. Yet somehow it was brought up once again.

You were at a picnic with the group, enjoying your time and the company they gave you. There was a variety of foods, spread on the table, making your eyes shine brightly. As you were ecstatic, wanting to try each dish that had caught your eyes. So, you grabbed a bite, tasting each delicacy your friends had brought. You haven’t noticed but they were all looking at you, smiling. They were glad they finally got to see you eat, knowing that you usually held in your hungry when it came to hanging out.

But that’s when Dot decided to speak up, “You know.. if you keep eating too much you’re gonna get fat”, with a smirk, it was a friendly gesture but it seems to have triggered something within you.

There was a sudden stop in your motion. Like you suddenly froze, the fork from your hand dropped onto your plate. Fat. That word was repeated over and over again in your head. It was like a key to destroying the wall you build around that experience. You closed your mouth, pursing your lips. Your mind started to cloud itself, filling it with dark thoughts you had pushed away long ago.

“Rig-” “What’s wrong with that?”, a voice had spoken up, interrupting you in the process, it was monotonous, very recognizable. Huh? Your eyes wandered to the sound of the voice. It was Mash, he was munching on a cream puff as he spoke. “I think that’s what makes them unique”, Mash continued to express his thoughts, you had a shock expression resting upon your face. You felt kind of weird, in a good way.

“Mash, I was joking..”, Dot tried to defend himself, but the dark haired male look at him confused. “But aren’t jokes supposed to be funny?”

Ngozi's symbolism in Check Please!

it's been boiling inside me too long so i have to let this out now. Too many people don't understand Ngozi's symbolism in Check Please! and to increase your enjoyment of the series and her clever writing (honestly, I've seen the worst takes from people about her writing somehow being subpar because of the ending or Parse not getting a happy ever after ugh). Listen to the woman when she says "the pie is Bitty"!

Part I: Pie

Bitty brings a pecan pie to SMH to introduce his Southern identity to a Yankee university and sports team. He brings another four pies to the family skate with Jack and agonizes when a slice is about to be left over. He drops a pie when overwhelmed by Shitty and Nursey's discussion of the rumors about Jack and the secrets he has to keep.

The fruit filling is Bitty's sweet, warm, and tender inner self and the crust is, well, his formal, people-pleasing, selfless outer shell.

A fruit pie is either fully obscured or latticed, both being some sort of cover for the filling.

Bitty is making an intricate lattice on a pie and stopping halfway through to break down while on the phone with his mom. He isn't ready to tell her, even though she does inform him her pie (Bitty) is 'almost ready to come out'.

II: Jam

After "Me & Jack", Bitty goes on a jam making spree. The jam is a similar fruity sweet substance, but it is in clear jars because Jack and Bitty's truth is out, and may even be open to some sympathetic players on other NHL teams (he mentions in a tweet that he owes someone on the Schooners squad a jar of jam, as the preserve is becoming a hit through Jack's generous gifting). He also informs Jack "it's gonna be two trips", foreshadowing the fact they'll have to come out a second, more emotionally wracking time.

Jam also represents Bitty's connection with his aunt Judy, a nonconformist in the family who as Ngozi has explained encouraged him to seek a higher educational option where he could be himself. He has loyalty to Judy above his mother, a secret that eventually and humorously blows up in his face.

III: Bread and toast

Jack tells his entire NHL team about Bitty while they're eating a lopsided (but delicious) loaf of bread and the aforementioned jam, both homemade by the diminutive southerner. Bitty makes sandwiches for Jack as loving gestures, giving him support during his toughest days on the ice. At his worst, Jack sees himself as broken or incapable of moving past the substance abuse and mental health issues he struggled with under an unbearable spotlight as the hockey prince.

Jack is the bread. The same warm and supportive oven that bakes Bitty's pies also allows bread to rise. Samwell helped Jack just as it helped Bitty, but more important, Bitty was a huge part of why Samwell helped Jack.

It's also why two identical slices of toast pop into frame when Whiskey brushes Bitty off when the latter tries to talk to him in the cafeteria.

Whiskey is or at least wants to be seen as masculine through and through, his interests and future as regimented and compartmentalized as a TV dinner. He sees only weakness in Bitty's soft, sweet personality, and feels they don't have anything (else) in common. He rejects not just pies but Bitty's other offers of kindness and help, because he sees Bitty like he's afraid other people will see him if the truth ever gets out.

He represents the awkward, self-denying phase of coming to terms with your queerness later in life.

The story does, however, leave the question open whether Samwell helps Whiskey the way it helped Jack and Bitty and countless others. Whiskey will have Bitty's dibs as well as his support, as Bitty has done important work in college sports, setting a precedent that will even help people as different to him as Whiskey.

All of this to say some of you need to reread the comic again in its entirety and please annotate in the margins and have a 5 paragraph essay on Ngozi's epicness on my desk by monday class disMISSED

Ok so uh just to clear up my tags from yesterday bc i overthink everything & don't want ppl to get the wrong idea fjhdhg; when i say "liking/hating things the wrong way" i mostly mean having bigoted reasons for opinions or being a dick about them or being weirdly performative with/invested in fictional activism (and those same ppl tend to be the ones who make dragon age opinions a morality race smh).

And overall of course everyone is entitled to simply Not Like a character! And there is lots of valid criticism that i might even agree with! But i am also entitled to blocking ppl who are being overly negative about them; not because you're not allowed to do that or because you're wrong, but bc i like to curate my fandom experience and not going insane bc of constant discourse. Highly recommend doing that btw; blacklists are there for a reason and your mental health is important✌

Things happen for a reason

I watched it a few days ago and I have a few words to say about Namjoon and his KBS TV interview... when they discussed Jin’s enlistment I was touched by the authenticity Joon showed when he said Jin (being the elder brother) told him he’d go and experience it first and then let them know what it’s like. And I immediately think of Jin’s astronaut floating through space alone to explore uncharted territory for them (tears again).  

When Joon explained the attempt to balance regular Kim Namjoon who likes to read and look at paintings, with the stage persona of RM, who performs in front of 60,000 people, it made me think of when he and Jimin were in the car on their way to the AMAs last year. Joon said something about this red carpet stuff as being awkward and something to the effect that celebrities enjoy the circus that goes with these award shows. Which seems to be true. Jimin said we are not celebrities, (therefore they don’t enjoy this sort of stuff) they are just Park Jimin and Kim Namjoon. The two philosophers...smh. But Jimin was basically being honest. The separation is real for them. 

[We know much more about Kim Namjoon these days but do we really KNOW the real regular guy, Park Jimin? Predicting a very long post in the future.]

You know, (criticism of the k-pop industry’s extreme practices notwithstanding) here in the west, we hear of young artists who experience fame and fortune at a young age and who are also trying to grow up in the spotlight and many times they crash and burn, become addicted to drugs or alcohol and/or suffer mental health issues when they can’t handle the extreme pressure placed on them. The members of BTS all experienced this extreme pressure and sometimes were overwhelmed. But they were lucky enough to have a support system with each other and their company to get them through this period. As Joon said, with Jin’s enlistment, the page is turned on this chapter of BTS.

He also mentions that the timing couldn’t be better for this period of BTS because the team is very strong and Army trusts BTS. Just that statement reminds me that I fully believe in “things happen for a reason” and that all the turmoil and grief of the last 3 years was a time that strengthened them as individuals which allowed them to focus on what they wanted for their future. The timing is better now than it would have been at the end of 2020 had the pandemic never happened, had Jin enlisted then...we wouldn’t have Dynamite or Butter or BE or the Permission to Dance concerts. 

Joon has been very forthcoming and honest, very REAL, these last few weeks. I am grateful to him.

The intimacy of the venue, the fact there were no cell phones and no army bombs... just like back in the day when you had to watch with your eyes, listen with your ears or else miss it. Here’s some thought soup.

Turns out I was actually able to wait to read until this week lol. I’m glad I did. I have a feeling this is only going to get more depressing from here on and I’m gonna need the pacing for my mental health.

So just… everything about Wolfwood here. He’s already better realized than pretty much the entirety of 98, I think (<- biased). I said “what the Fuck” out loud several times during this volume which is always fun. I’m going to do a second read before posting this so I can keep my thoughts in better order.

1- It’s at this point I think that maybe I should check the tws for this manga lol. Did this bother me? Not really. Am I scared of the potential now? Yes. Yes I Am. (I see that damn hand gore warning for a late volume and I am Dreading that shit)

Vash just looks so… soft here? I want to squish his cheeks so bad. It’s the power of Loose Button Down at work. A good weapon to have in your arsenal.

I hate it when you can just. Tell he’s making a promise that the narrative won’t let him keep.

On a reread the end of this volume makes more sense. Are they all…? I hope the fuck not.

2- Legato is really just getting more animalistic. There’s something off about him/his survival instincts but it’s kind of impossible to tell Exactly what it is without reading that far ahead. (Speaking of how uh. Explicit is his backstory? Do I need to make myself a nice cup of tea for after I finish reading that volume???)

I really, really appreciate that the gung-ho guns aren’t as one note as I expected. I have to wonder what got them all here, individually?

I wonder what specifically Vash thinks about Wolfwood here, what he knows and what he doesn’t. Is he like, aware that he saw what happened with the moon? Calling Vash selfish… there’s something there. The way Vash just fucking shuts down when they threaten Lina. None of them deserve any of this it makes me feel gross and bad.

He does. He is a guest lecturer (similar to canon). He talks mostly about history and magic (such as portals and accords, etc). Fun fact: Since Lance and Arthur are not allowed in the Academy, Magnus taught them separately. There is a whole short story about this one!

They do! They have something called 'self and society' - which was inspired by a class I teach at one of the local unis. It's more about understanding different aspects of yourself and one of the classes (which I teach) is on sexual and reproductive health education + gender and society. In lbaf, they do have a class similar to this where they learn about different self identies (including that of downworlders and nephilim etc)

it’s been three months since I got my lobes pierced and I still haven’t taken them out or switched them bc the people online say I should wait like 6 months or else I’m a dumb piece of shit, but the other people online say I should do it after 6 weeks or else I’m being paranoid.

I love my health anxiety bc it makes this a real Sophie’s choice. Do I give in to my HA and keep these fuckers in for another three months and THEN maybe change them?? Or do I change them now and expose myself to the possibility of things going wrong because it’s ultimately not that big of a deal?? My incessant need for control makes that last one difficult because if I wait longer that means nothing will go wrong while I’m waiting so I’m in control. If I change them then it allows my body and healing and new earrings in the hole control.

Anyways I should probably tell my therapist that but honestly we’ve been treading water trying to get to “how do you want to show up for your sister” for the last month and a half cause I keep finding new things to talk about 😭😭 she’s so great though. I keep thinking not much has changed but when I look at all of the vulnerable conversations I’ve had with people over the last 6 months or so it’s really a huge difference. I’m still WAYYYYY needing work done and will continue to need therapy for quite some time but I’m happy to see results. And I feel like I can be so honest with Rebecca even when I don’t want to be.

Between seeing the Teachers Off Duty podcast come under fire for those IEP comments, and seeing more and more people suddenly start to stitch that teacher with practically a million likes on Tiktok who recorded her student (what looked like to me, without the student’s knowledge, but that’s a whole other kettle of fish) saying she’s going to kick her ass while she talks to the girl in an obviously faux soothing voice, and pointing out that a few things about that video don’t seem quite right at all, I’m feeling just a tad bit vindicated.

Nobody wanted to rock the boat online, or acknowledge gray areas or nuance, because it was Shit On Kids O’Clock, but as someone who enjoyed school, but still remembers school very very well, and has been in a school recently, you were never going to convince me that the problems happening right now were 100% the fault of “bad” kids and their “terrible” parents, lmao. Please. It’s like everyone had a fucking lobotomy or something. Yeah, there are teachers who really want to teach, and there are teachers who really want a job with the summer off. Tf. Anyone who has been watching and reading the constant complaints of teachers online, should’ve been able to tell that maybe half of it was legitimate and half of it was fucking sinister, and it concerns me that people couldn’t. I don’t mean their complaints about what they’ve been allowed to teach, I mean these near constant complaints, filmed in their classrooms, sometimes with students heard in the background, talking about how awful those same students are. None of this seemed weird to anyone? A video with 300K likes, 400K likes, filmed in a classroom, with a teacher crying, telling me how a 10 year old threatened them, and the comments telling them to call the police… none of this feels insane to anyone else???? A lady calmly filming a high schooler threatening to beat her ass, and her first thought is to post it to Tiktok - that’s not odd to anyone?

Smh. Idk… just I’m glad the the podcast guests accidentally told on themselves. Nothing will probably really come of it, but at least some people might wake up.

I have so much respect for teachers, but we cannot pretend that the current state of classrooms, not education, but classrooms, is the result of all kids just being feral animals now, and a bunch of teachers getting on TikTok, using it as a diary where they do just that, and talk about how much they hate their students is wild to me.

Indian soaps are really the best inspiration for VK/Pat 🤪 one of them had a Karwa Chauth special episode which fits really well with the VK/Pat/Mitch dynamic lol. So Karwa Chauth is a Hindu festival, where wives keep a fast all day long for their husband's health and well-being. They aren't allowed to eat food or drink water for the entire day, until the rising of the moon that night. When the moon rises, it is customary for the wives to behold the moon through a sieve, or the moon's reflection through a pot of water. Either works. Once this is done, the wife is supposed to behold her husband's face through the sieve. Then the husband offers his wife a sip of water, thus breaking her fast, following which she can have her first morsel of the day.

So what happened in the Karwa Chauth episode is that the female lead was searching for her husband to break the fast, she was wandering around with the sieve in her hands. Then somehow, she sees her husband through the sieve, and is happy at first. Then the husband's secretary follows him into the frame, and he hugs her, telling her he loves her. All this the wife sees through the sieve. So she finds out about her husband's affair on the day of a festival traditionally meant to celebrate the bond between a husband and a wife. So dramatic smh. 🤣😂

But I'm totally imagining the wife as VK, the husband as Pat and the secretary as Mitchy here! 🤪

ooc. oh no she is more of outgoing person. Most of her hobbies are outdoor ones. training is a must if she slacked off then she is betraying everything she stands for. after training comes food! delicious food is the pinnacle in rejuvenating after a good training. Edea likes shopping--it is therapeutic to her to window shop. Sometimes she spends most of her allowance on cute dresses because cute dresses are CUTE! sugary treats are the girl's best friend. you can change her mood by offering her a nice and yummy cake or tart or literally anything sweet. going to the spa to take care of her body and health? mhm she will do that whenever she can.

as for actual hobbies, singing, playing an instrument, and playing sports (with her friends). she writes sometimes poems as any girl her age lol (but that is more like for herself. no one had read them before...well, expect her mom she used to read them for her but she got older and she felt 'embarrassed' lol ESPECIALLY IF SHE IS WRITING ABOUT HER CONFLICTING FEELINGS ABOUT LOVE AND ALL MHM.) ummm maybe she likes to solve jigsaw puzzle from time to time. she is not bad or good at it, she just likes to be challenged.
