As of April 23, 2024, the archive will be uploading MP4s instead of using links. If you have one of the videos as an MP4 already, feel free to submit it to the archive, as making the already archived links into MP4s is gonna take a while.

Any video can count, from real Eddisodes, to random funny shorts, to actual footage of the people. Reuploads and compilations are allowed in the archive

Videos from Matt & Tomska that are skits/animations WITH EDD can be added to the archive (but they will have the tag "and friends" added to them)

Comics pre-issue 400 must be submitted to be archived (nothing against them, I love a few dearly, I just don't wanna copy/paste over 300 of them when I'm already doing video hunting/archiving mostly on my own)

Official comics post-issue 400 will be under the umbrella tag "ew comics" with the special tag "the sake of numbers"

I will work on getting a website up for Eddsworld Archiving so if something happens to Tumblr the archive is not lost. This project will take a while, but I will post a link once it's active.

Then the war came and the men went off the fight. Answering the call to help, Bea and her fellow railway volunteers find themselves with an opportunity of a lifetime. Obscured from judging eyes by steam and smoke they shadow the veteran drivers and engineers, learning what they can on the job and hitting the library when they can't.

The trains need to run, they are vital to the war effort. All it would take is one rogue bomb, one mishap to take out a driver and the wheels stop spinning.

Or at least, that's what the station manager thinks.

hello, everyone! I'm njsa (she/her), a 22 year old university student from Australia. I'm currently studying a bachelor's degree in space science, which I started in 2022. A bit more about me can be found here. I've created this blog primarily to share my journey through academia. I'm not sure what path I want to follow once I finish my degree, but finding a career aligned with astrophysics, or anything to do with space, is my ultimate goal. I'll also be posting about my general interest, like books, movies, shows etc. as well as my planners and commonplace. I also want to start self-teaching myself languages, starting with Irish and Serbian (both being my heritage.) I haven't started learning them yet, but plan on doing so in the near future!

Unfortunately, my university track record isn't the greatest... I failed out of my first year of university when I was studying a double degree in engineering and science. Now in my current degree, I'm definitely doing better... somewhat. Procrastination and perfectionism centring from self doubt are still my biggest enemies, but I am (slowly) working on that. From my experience, a lot of people tend to feel alone in their struggles with university. Hopefully my shouting into the void can reach those that need to here it; showing that it's okay to fail. As someone who is no stranger to failing, I want this blog to tell the story - my story - of success, despite the many downfalls. If I can convince just one other person to persevere - to not give in to the pressure and negative thoughts - I've achieved my goal.

Hello!! Of course I do omg are you kidding me!!!!!!! I have a whole tag on my main @wisecrackingeric-2 titled ‘DadSerennedyAU’ if you wanna see my own spin on the idea!!!!! ORRRR if you wanna read something from yet another incredibly talented artist and author I CANNOT recommend @mooseonahunt ‘s AU enough!!!! And I know the lovely @geddy-leesbian has made some posts on this subject also!!!!!!!

But in terms of Headcannons I have plenty!! I’ll put them below the cut to avoid clogging anyone’s dashes!!

Edit: THIS IS UH UM. V E R Y LONG. I WENT KINDA BUCKWILD WITH THIS ONE AHDNCHDNXUXJXJ SO UH PLEASE ENJOY I GUESS!!

• First and foremost they are t4t. Sorry I don’t make the rules (also. Look at my blog name HQNAHWNEHDNDUDJ /lh)

• I imagine it was probably Luis who wanted a kid- we don’t know much about Leon’s childhood other than the fact that his parents died (the very wonderful @highball66 has some more information on the backstory we DO have for him!!) and thus we don’t really have a good idea of what his relationship with his parents might’ve been- but Luis is the TOTAL opposite. We know from context clues that he had a really strong relationship with his Grandfather, who went as far as to encourage his love for science and the unorthodox in an incredibly strict Catholic environment, and it’s implied on some level that Bitores Mendez had some hand in helping raise him, so I can imagine that Luis is very attached to the idea of parenthood and would probably wanna be the same kind of man his Grandfather was to him!!!

• Leon???? Realistically???? Probably a whole lot more hesitant- like he almost dies on the job everyday there’s no way he’d feel fit enough to raise a kid. But also,,,,, this is resident evil and also fiction where we can do whatever the hell we want so hell yeah he comes around to the idea eventually!!!!!!

• Luis is probably accidentally VERY clingy with their kid/a lil overbearing during the toddler age. Everything he’s ever contributed to in his life has either hurt others or he’s destroyed it one way or another- and everyone he’s held closest to him dies in some way. And going off of the first point, he’s probably put a LOT of pressure on himself to be a good Dad like his Grandfather was, so that usually ends up with him hogging the baby HCNNSSNSJSNIS

• Leon, again similar to my last point, would probably have the opposite reaction where he has this gut instinct to keep his distance- like he’s worried if he gets too attached it’s all gonna be ripped away from him just like Sherry was all of those years ago. But I highly doubt either of their qualms last for very long- they’d talk things out and figure out something that works for the both of them <3

• They’d probably go with the same middle and last name as Luis- ‘Serra’ and ‘Navarro’. I know I keep repeating myself but Luis had a really good relationship with his Grandfather and his culture/heritage clearly means a lot to him (ie; the intro to Seperate Ways), so being able to keep that little piece of his history alive would probably mean the world to him <<33

• And going off of that, Luis is ALWAYS trying to encourage their kid to learn more about their culture and heritage- teaching them Spanish, cooking them traditional foods, etc etc etc and when Luis isn’t there to do it, Leon is always more than happy to do so <<<<<<33333

• Let’s be real,,,,,,, Leon is coming up with the cringiest baby names ever HXNEHENDUXNXU CMOOOOOON LOOK AT MR. WHERES EVERYONE GOING BINGO!!!!! But Luis probably isn’t much better BCNENWEJSJ I can easily picture him convincing Leon that noooooo Alonso or Miguel aren’t references to Don Quixote hahahahahaha omg what’re you taaaalking abooout. So anyways if it were a girl what about Dulcinea-

• I’m picturing them choosing to have a kid a lil bit later than most people (like,, late 30’s-early 40’s??? So not like they’re old or anything but it’s not like they’re having kids in their early 20’s yk HNCSHDNSJ) so for that reason in my mind they’d probably only want one kid

• Very predictable but they both read Don Quixote to their kid when putting them to sleep and/or they sing them lullabies in Spanish. Who here is surprised for that one certainly not me

• And once again WHO IS SURPRISED, the kid’s room is very subtly Don Quixote themed. Lil stuffed donkeys and windmill motifs everywhere you get it (<- normalest guy alive)

• Leon’s probably the one who does more physical activities with their kid- realistically, Luis is N O T surviving that knife to the back without some major lifelong injuries, so Leon’s the one who always carry’s their kid on his shoulders or swings him around when they’re playing etc etc

• I think Luis would be a lil sad that he isn’t able to join in on those kinds of physical activities, but he’d absolutely make up for it by taking their kid to work or teaching them general hands-on skills n stuff!!

• Leon ABSOLUTELY would wanna teach their kid self-defence as early as possible. He obviously mellows out and realises hey maybe teaching a 10 year old how to wield a knife is a Bad Idea, but with everything he’s seen in his life there’s no way he wouldn’t want his kid to know how to defend themselves at LEAST

• Wild-card one here but the three of them ABSOLUTELY take family trips to Madrid or other cities in Spain during the summer

• Last wild-card one but sometimes Luis will look at their kid and see his Grandfather so clearly he just starts fuckim bawlimg. Same with Leon. He sees the childhood he could’ve had and sometimes he’s gotta excuse himself to cry. Love these beautiful idiots

Tl;dr they would be very very wonderful parents who would love their kid with all of their heart and soul and you can put that headcannon from my COLD DEAD HANDS!!!!!!

Tales from Broca Street: Intro (1)

A long time ago I started a series of posts about the Fairy Tales of Broca Street. I never got very far with them but now that time has passed, I want to give it a new try, because these modern-day fairy tales are a big part of the current French fairytale heritage.

In 1967, a not-so-well-known author named Pierre Gripari published a collection of humoristic fairy tales he had written himself called "Les Contes de la rue Broca" (The Tales/Fairytales of Broca street). Some were traditional fairytales retold in a new way, others were modern-day parodies of classic folktales, and others were pure inventions of Gripari.

To publish such a book was not at all a sure key to success, because in the France of the 60s and 70s, fairy tales were knowing their "dark age". Authorities thought of them as useless or ridicule (worse: they promoted monarchy, something unacceptable in a day of democracy and Republic!) ; parents thought of them as outdated and absurd, too old and uninteresting for their kids to enjoy ; and in term of media, Disney movies were basically the main thing we had around. Long story short: fairy tales were little obscure things that was on its way to disappear from mainstream culture... Until the 80s arrived and with them came Bruno Bettelheim's "The Psychanalysis of Fairy Tales" (the French name of his book The Uses of Enchantment).

I talked about this before in a post you can find right here, but for all the flaws and problems Bettelheim's study of fairytales might have had, they are what "saved" fairytales in France, as it proved to the political authorities in charge of the culture, and to the parents buying stuff for their kids, that fairytales could be "useful" and "meaningful" (in this case, as psychological tools for growth and development). That's the fairytale boom: suddenly every buys fairytale books for their kids, fairytales are put on the national school program... and the Tales of Broca Street are re-discovered.

The Tales of Broca Street were already doing quite well before, but from the 80s onward they became a cult classic - and then a classic, period. They were re-edited (and still have recent re-edition from the 2010s) ; several authors imitated their style or tried to do their own take on it ; they can still be found today in every kids section of bookshops ; they have been for several decades on school programs (to the point I myself performed in a puppet-theater performance of Broca Street Tales organized by my school, when I was a kid) ; they have been adapted several times for the television, AND they are regularly leading to stage adaptations and other children musicals...

Long story short: they are a dominating part of the late 20th century children literature in France, and they are a milestone in the modern manifestation of fairy tales in France. Most French kids heard about them one way or another, wether they saw it stores or on TV, borrowed it at the library, or were forced to study it in school.

And given this is a blog about fairy tales... Well you know, I'm going to be sharing and talking about them.

The Somewhat Less Basics:

I'm white. My ancestry is predominately from Germanic and "British Isles", but I was raised entirely "privileged American WASP". Despite being exiled from that family and experiencing poverty and homeless as a teen and adult, my background shapes my worldview.

Given my settler-colonialist heritage, I make a conscious attempt to stay out of closed practices and appropriately honor the land upon which I live.

I was raised Anglican/Episcopalian, Lutheran, and Catholic (it's complicated).

I am an eclectic pagan and polytheist. I got started in paganism through genealogical research and an ancestral connection to Englisc/Anglo-Saxon heathenry (folkists GTFO) so most of my worship is conducted through that framework of practice.

I think most/all gods are real and powerful, but I am somewhat choosy about the ones I choose to honor and worship for myself. I suppose that makes me henotheist.

I am a theistic Satanist- I worship Satan as a god of rebellion and opposition, rejection of authoritarianism, justice, and forbidden knowledge (amongst other things). I worship several other gods and/or demons as aspects or very close counterparts of Satan. Further information can be found in this ask.

I venerate my ancestors and honor the spirits and wights of the land and the home.

I have no ill will towards Christians as individuals. Satan is the Adversary of the Christian god, however, and so there are things upon which Christians and myself will fundamentally disagree. And that's okay.

I hold some Buddhist practices & philosophy very close to my heart.
